I felt compelled to write a review having seeing mixed experiences on here. Firstly let’s start off with all your paperwork is given to you online to complete and fill out. Secondly yes you do go into a multipurpose room of sorts to make sure all the paperwork is done as part of the intake process but nothing is done in the room besides you answering questions. Thirdly I found the staff informative, kind, and attentive. The procedure that was done was an IUD. I was so satisfied that I’m doing my prevention visit with the same provider as well. It was certainly a pleasure.
STAY AWAY! Specially for an IUD! As someone who came here and was treated by you guys for a few months I must say I’m very disappointed in your services. My experience as a whole was negative at this place. My copper iud was either put incorrectly or something incorrect happened on their end and it embedded into my uterus. Since the day I got it, I knew something was wrong. After I kept complaining about my symptoms, I was gaslighted into thinking I was okay when I clearly knew I was not. I insisted and got an ultrasound and even after seeing the results no one told me that the iud was embedded into me. I just was told that it was misplaced because it was being expelled with very little detail. I was also told that had it been a hormonal iud that it would have been okay if I kept it. This was not true because it was embedded and not working. It was also really harming me. It was my first birth control and I trusted you guys, only to be disappointed. I finally went to a true profesional who was able to treat me and get it replaced. Also told me the truth. Horrible experience and will not be recommending this place. Based on reviews, I can see I was not the only one that had a negative experience with procedures here. An experience that should have felt empowering, felt extremely traumatic and will forever scar me. The pain I experienced due to this place is indescribable. Please get new professionals and don’t mess up people’s health. Go to a REAL doctor. Don’t be a lab rat.
I’m glad I chose to go here and I didn’t listen to the reviews. I found the front desk staff, friendly, helpful and yes I waited about about 20 minutes. But, even when you go to the doctors office you have to wait. I thought it was a reasonable wait time. The nurse who helped me was friendly. She even offered me a bottle of water. I had an issue and had to see the NP there and she was friendly. I would go back if I had to. Although I was a little upset, I didn’t get to have an ultrasound. But the nurse told me the ultrasound tech is only there Tuesdays.
Went early, got my check in done online. Front desk woman was very helpful, went out of her way to confirm I still did have insurance (I thought I didnt). Nurse was very personable and nice, practitioner was also very helpful. They explained everything. Quick, easy, and everyone was nice. 10/10
The staff at this location are ALL amazing! Very courteous and professional. I was truly impressed by the services I received. I was nervous about my experience at the beginning but after my first encounter with the outside receptionist I was put at ease. Once I entered I was surprised to see such a clean and modern waiting area. The facility itself was spotless and there were proper mandated procedures for COVID-19 in place to ensure the safety of both the staff and patients. Each separate procedure I had to complete had it’s own nurse, each more lovely than the next. They made me feel safe and cared for. They turned an already difficult situation that I was faced with into a very mild and comforting experience. I would recommend this facility and Dr. Perl to anyone in need of their services. Those on the fence and in need of sound non biased advice please give them a call or visit. I would give them ten stars if I could. Thank you guys so much!
STAY AWAY. I wish I had seen all these comments about the LADIES AT THE FRONT DESK before. They are extremely rude and unprofessional. My wife is still learning English and she requested me inside at the consultation because she feels comfortable with me translating to her, not a phone TRANSLATOR. Besides that, I have asked to pay the co-pay in advance, and they were rude and did not allowed me to do it (instead, they were eating a birthday cake and laughing).My wife said the APRN was nice, but she also forgot to send her prescription to the Walmart. (I believe the front ladies are responsible for that). My wife is having a urinary infection and they did not send the prescriptions to the Walmart as requested. I will look for another place asap to get my wife better.I WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS HORRIBLE PLACE AGAIN... NEVER... EVER!!!!
I love this place. There has only been one or two times when ive waited more than 10 minutes for my birth control, and that was because i went at the busiest time, on the busiest day (Saturday middle afternoon) When i went for my original assessment for the BC, the girl who was doing the blood pressure and stuff was awesome as well. she was very understanding and easy to talk to. There are some times when i go in that the females at the front counter are not so approachable but i ALWAYS look for the older woman with the short hair. She is very pleasant and wonderful to talk to. I enjoy going to this location. Ill gladly travel out of my way to go to this location.
Had an appointment to get my yearly prescription of birth control. This visit was scheduled in advance. My medical history has been updated every year when I go - there has not been a year that I havent gone to get my birth control. So today at the END of my visit (1 hour) - the time that I should receive my birth control - that the medical director (not in office) needs a note from my oncologist that I can have birth control. Mind you, I was diagnosed, treated and declared cancer free within the year 2021. It is 2023. The only explanation I got as to why this wasnt an issue last year was that the medical professional representing them last year in March was unfit/did not do the due diligence. So this whole appointment today has been a waste and I need clearance from my oncologist, who has always been aware that I was on birth control, to let them know that my birth control was not/will not cause cancer in my leg.
I had an appointment for 7:50AM and was seen by 8:55AM. There were only 4 people in the waiting room including myself. I arrived on time and someone who arrived well after I did got called in before me and left a half hour before me. Expect a 2-3 hour wait for anything other than birth control. For a 3 hour visit, you will be seen 15 minutes total. Slow - just so incredibly freaking slow. The doctor made a flippant comment about my visit chuckling at my situation and telling me good luck with that.
Front desk check in was super rude. I get you now do online check in, but if you have my email wrong like way off, and I say it, spell it, you repeat it 3x and it’s still wrong and once more correct you.If it’s a privacy policy why you asking if am I married, what’s my education and date of birth while I’m finally getting the email and not the text you originally said I should of got.l infront of the waiting room patients.Medical assistant and practitioner on point. Excellent.After todays visit I will not return.Imagine if you were there for help and your confronted with this hostile attitude.
The calling center you have to go through is ridiculous. The ladies on there are rude and dont like to answer questions. I told one of the reps to hold on a minute and she did for about 30 seconds then she hung up. I really dont understand why they work there if they cannot even do their jobs. As for planned parenthood I went in for my appointment, I waited nearly an hour to be seen and on top of everything another 30 minutes waiting for the doctor to come in my room. After all the waiting she tells me she cant do anything because I have my light spotting (which was mentioned in the beginning of my appointment and couldve been avoided). The front ladies are nice.
Joseline and Rose were very friendly and considerate at my appointment. They made me feel very comfortable & assured me of my questions. I would highly recommend this Planned Parenthood location and will return for any future gynecological needs.
I went to this Planned Parenthood in March of this year, so at this point it has been five months of arguing with them. My Pap smear was supposed to be an annual exam. however, how the doctor charged my insurance wrong, and I got billed for it. (I understand people make mistakes, so I tried to rectify this with the office for the last few months before this review) It is now mid August and Im still getting bills from quest. I have called and spoken to three or four separate people who have assured me that they will handle this and get it taken care of for me but somehow its still been sent to collections. The last time I called I spoke to the office manager after being shuffled back-and-forth between the employees at this location and the billing department (who said I needed to take it up with the office manager) and still somehow this is not resolved. I have used planned parenthood for years and had such great experiences with the pembroke office, (switched when I moved) so this has been even more frustrating. At this point I have no choice but to pay this $100 bill for something that should have been covered by my $300/month insurance plan because it will affect my credit and is ultimately not worth fighting over anymore. Next time I will drive 40 minutes to another location instead of this one 5 minutes away from me because dealing with them was just such a joke :)
Went in and despite them not being able to take my insurance, which was a pain, they quickly got me in and out of the office! They were also extremely nice and helped me get what I needed without hassle. My only wish is that they expand the list of insurances that they take, but all well. I highly recommend this place to anyone, but remember to make an appointment online or on the phone first so that youre not stuck waiting.
STAY AWAY. This place has no idea what they are doing. I called them on a Friday to refill my birth control prescription. They claimed they sent it to the pharmacy on Saturday, and the pharmacy never received it. Now they are closed Sunday and Monday so I will not be able to take my pill until Tuesday at the earliest. They claim to advocate accessible birth control for all, but really the staff members are just doing the bare minimum to get their paycheck because they cant get a real job at a real doctors office. My advice would be to go to a real doctors office or dont go at all. I went there and still dont have birth control so whats the point? Total waste of time and RESOURCES.
Cant give them 5 stars because of the wait. First time I came, with an appointment, I waited almost two hours to be seen, with not many others waiting. The rooms were occupied so they took me to their lunch room.....where They asked me some questions until thedoctor was ready to see me in another room, which she stayed with me for less than 10 minutes . Now every time I come to get my pills, I have to wait 30+ minutes just for them to give me a pack of pills.
Entire staff was extremely professional. I felt comfortable during my entire examination as well as told what was going to happen. I have finally found my permanent obgyn! Thank you for your care today.
Literally the worst place ever. The receptionists were very rude and tasteless. I literally came in not expecting to get helped, but to have to wait an HOUR just to make an appointment is absolutely uncalled for. Both receptionists were rude to me (especially the one with short blonde hair). Rolling their eyes and purposesly having me wait is ridiculous. They shouldn’t be working in a classy city such as Boca Raton, considering they have none.
Ok. I have bee here twice. The first time I called before I came in to see how much it would cost to have my prescription filled. They gave me a price and I made an appointment. When I got there on the day of my appointment I waited 2 hours to see anyone. Then they told me it would cost an additional $135 on top of the price I was given over the phone. I paid only what I was told it would cost and left. I gave them another shot the next time I needed a refill. There was NO mention of this $135 additional fee. Now SUDDENLY I am being called by this rude woman trying to collect $135 from me. I will not be back ever. I can see a real qualified Doctor that treats me with respect. The girls at the front desk have terrible attitudes. You would not think its A WOMENS HEALTH Facility. Its very sad to see planned parenthood go to the dumps.
The front desk staff is very kind. The NP is funny and warm! I felt very comfortable here and am very glad I chose to go here instead of urgent care for my UTI.
What an inconsiderate facility. They CONSTANTLY dont show up for work, often closing the clinic for a day. Thats fine and dandy, but if youre going to be closed on a day where you are very obviously supposed to be open, you should EDIT the online hours to say CLOSED instead of wasting peoples time. Its not that hard to be courteous.
Horrible experience. I had an appointment at 10.40, I was done at 1.30pm with nothing done since the doctor didnt want to finish the procedure because I looked sick (I am pregnant) . So they rescheduled me for saturday 2 days after. I showed up a bit earlier and they tell me they dont do the stuff I need here on Saturdays but I have to go somewhere else... extremely unprofessional
I was turned away yesterday after yr Im 45 and they told me now the guidelines are paps every 3 yrs. I insisted on pap Nurse Practioner was mad, rushing, wore NO gloves....couldnt find my cervix gouging my insides n twisting, when brush was taken out from collecting specimen it was full of blood. I said why is that brush full of blood, she said oh I was a little rough with you and laughed. Following day, today, Im still bleeding and bad stomach cramps!!!!! I think because she didnt want to do papsmear she ripped me up inside!!!!!! Im seeing a lawyer!!!!!!!
The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and professional. They answered my myriad of questions with a smile. My wait was short and my appointment was swift and efficient. Highly recommended.
Overall it was a great experience, I had little wait for a phone call but it was worth it due to I got great custumer service and my questions and concerns was answered within 24 hours. Thank you so much planned parenthood for all that you do!
Went for a pap and was wonderful. Very thorough and professional care. Would highly recommend for routine care and preventative care.
I did a service back in July which was not done property and I still suffering the consequences. It is almost impossible to speak to someone in this office. I have been trying to schedule an appointment so they can finish what it was started but it’s been 3 MONTH and I still haven’t heard back from them. They do call back but no action is done
The wait room was packed, not enough chairs for everyone. I had an appointment at 11:30 and got there early... I sat in the waiting room for over an hour before I was called in the back. All I needed was a prescription.
I arrived as a walk in after about 20 mins, Mika advice me that it was really full (which was okay) when I arrived there were like 5 women ahead so obviously it made sense to why I waited, I’m reading reviews on here about being seen at a later time, it’s a doctor office not a fast food place where your waiting in line to place an order. Anways.... she was extremely nice and offered me an appointment the next day which I took, I was seen about 20 to 30 minutes later which I did not mind after all these delays are expected when going to a doctors, dentist appointment etc. Wendy the nurse practitioner was awesome she made my Pap smear feel a breeze, very professional and easily found my cervix :) Rose was awesome and was the one who withdraw my blood for lab and was very professional and nice, to be honest I been to this location twice and have only encountered professionals starting from the receptionist, thank you guys I recommend them.
Everyone here is amazing! Super nice and very informative, from the front desk staff to nurses. Absolutely blew my expectations and would recommend coming to this location

I do not recommend this place. They told me one price and when I had my appointment the price was the double for the procedure that I requested. Very poor customer service and bad communication.
PP employees have thankless jobs, are often the targets of angry, uneducated people, yet they stay and help us all. I cant thank your organization enough.
