I have to say I’ve never encountered anything as horrible as my visit with Dr. Robin E. Piper. She treated me like I was dumb, dismissed my concerns, and was extremely condescending. When I expressed my pain and other symptoms, along with my test results, she said, Hormones fluctuate; that’s just what happens. I do not have a magic pill to help you. When I pointed out how unprofessional it was to dismiss my pain, she literally replied, I didn’t think you were in that much pain, completely ignoring the symptoms I had just explained. I asked about nutrition or exercise to help, or to discuss any side effects of birth control, and she said, I am not trained in nutrition; I only went to school to give you medicine. She insisted that birth control has no side effects, at least in my 12 years in this profession, repeatedly using her education to invalidate my concerns. It’s frightening to think that this is what her schooling taught her to do.Please, please seek out another provider if youre looking for someone who will genuinely care for you and treat you with respect, especially if you have PCOS, endometriosis, or similar conditions. You deserve better than the experience I had with Dr. Robin E. Piper.
I was happy to be able to see Dr Anthony, as he is certified with North America Menopause Society. He explained the information very thoroughly and helped me understand all the risks and options. I got labs done at the same time, too, so that was a plus! And you can have a mammo done on site as well. I highly recommend this practice if you want to discuss menopause.
Ive had all three of my babies at this practice and I should have left a long time ago, but they’ve been the devil I knew in a highly stressful situation (pregnancy), so I stayed. If you have a choice, just go somewhere else. Believe every one star review on google. Front desk staff is incredibly rude and slow. Wait times are terrible. Even just today, I showed up 15 minutes early as I was told to do, only to wait 45 minutes in the lobby and then wait another 30 minutes, naked, in a room. I eventually just walked out after absolutely no communication from anyone. I’m sure they’ll send me a bill and it’ll take 2-3 months for me to talk to the billing person, like it has in the past. I literally just gave up last time I had a billing error and paid them even though I knew it was not correct. In the over 7 years I’ve been at this practice, I’ve been fat shamed many times, lied to many times, ignored, made to feel like a burden, told “we can’t let every working mother leave for maternity leave early, or it will hurt the workforce”, left on an NST machine for over an hour because they forgot about me, left naked in a room waiting on a exam MULTIPLE times now for over half an hour, had invasive tests rerun three times because staff was using the wrong supplies, had to pay out of pocket for things because there was no communication up front about my insurance and which labs they take, and I could go on and on and on.Just go somewhere else. This office makes pregnancy ten times worse with the amount of stress they cause, and they don’t care to change or improve. If anything, they get worse each time I go.
Recently went for my annual visit which is covered as preventative by my insurance. Visit went OK until they are trying to charge me $127 for labs that are not even posted in my chart! Messaged doctor and billing staff multiple times and only told that they dont handle billing for the labs and I was supposed to call some other number for a 3rd party that never answers. Pretty ridiculous. Terrible customer experience. May need to report them for insurance fraud.
I have been a patient of Cary ObGyn for about eight years now. I have seen them for routine women’s health as well as a pretty serious surgery, a pregnancy and a miscarriage. Let me start first with the patient care. The doctors here are hit and miss. I have seen several that I don’t prefer but if you are lucky enough to have Dr Bonpain as your primary you will be in excellent care. She is a great doctor who tells you like it is and a skilled surgeon. I had to have a cyst removed along with one tube and ovary and she did a great job. I was worried about my ability to conceive afterwards but I healed I had no subsequent problems. I am a worrier and a procrastinator but Dr Bonpain has a way of convincing me to move forward even though I am fearful. She lays it all out and takes the time to answer all my questions and discuss everything throughly so I feel informed about my health. With that said I do not care for some of the other doctors and staff at this office and in a few instances in an emergency when I couldnt see Dr Bonpain because she was not in office for whatever reason I have felt helpless and overlooked by other staff such as an FNP and a couple of the other Drs that I will not name. And I have left very angry on several occasions due to this but when I am finally able to see Dr Bonpain it all gets worked out. So for me she is the saving grace at this practice and one of the reasons I keep returning. But The real reason I’m writing this review is because of the girls in the lab. Shawna and Lindsey work in the lab downstairs and they are amazing. I would go see them without an appointment. I really look forward to having ultrasounds and blood draws now just so I can see them. I am currently going through a pregnancy and subsequent miscarriage which has brought me to the lab almost weekly for ultrasounds during my pregnancy and for blood draws during my miscarriage and it’s been about 12 weeks of seeing them almost every week and I feel like I’ve really cultivated a relationship with them. Both of these girls are people I’d hang out with outside of a work environment and they are very welcoming and friendly. Beyond being just cool people the phlebotomist who draws my blood is excellent at her job. She never has an issue with my veins even tho so many others have struggled in that area. The ultrasound girl is also very friendly tho I don’t know her name. I have thought about changing practices to somewhere closer and less busy, because this practice is busy and you can often feel rushed if you do not advocate for yourself but I have stayed bc of these three people specifically: the two girls in the lab and Dr Bonpain. The 5 stars are for them! It’s also pretty easy to communicate through the portal and they will often be able to schedule you to come in as soon as you can which is great. Their hours are kinda limited which sucks but no practice is perfect. So as long as I can continue to see these ladies I will continue to stay here. Thank you ladies for being such nice people! With the surgery and the miscarriage I have been going through it emotionally and physically and seeing people who I feel like really understand & care about my health really goes a long way. ❤️
I don’t leave many reviews in general and I’m hoping this will make a small impact for someone. If you’re thinking about using this practice, I would highly suggest to go to another one.Their billing practice for my first time office visit left me feeling bamboozled. I left voicemails and sent messages via patient portal (oddly the voicemail says they’re more responsive via portal) and it still took a long time to get any response. I didn’t even get a call back, just a message. It’s felt like they were too scared to even call or maybe didn’t care or possibly over worked. The doctor I spoke with during my visit was rushed and asked multiple times—are you sure you don’t want more kids. Also dismissive about my perimenopause symptoms.TLDR: Don’t go here. Shady billing. Awful administration.
I had a wonderful experience with Cary OBGYN during my first pregnancy, so even though Ive moved further away, I decided to return to the same office after finding out I was pregnant again last week. However, when I tried to schedule an appointment over the phone, the woman I spoke to, who introduced herself as Nicky, was incredibly rude. My 12-month-old started crying, and within what must have been 10 seconds, Nicky abruptly hung up on me, telling me to call back another time. When I called back and spoke with her again, I explained how disrespectful it was to hang up on someone, especially in that manner. Her response was, Call when your baby is asleep , which I found completely inappropriate. She claimed she had put me on hold, not hung up, but I have evidence on my phone that shows she disconnected the call. This is not the Cary OBGYN I remember. I am incredibly disappointed and heartbroken by this experience. Because of this, I will be finding another provider.
Cannot put into words how amazing this office is. They take the time to truly listen and understand concerns. They go above and beyond to ensure you are taken care of. They always make me feel like I’m in good hands and I never question if there was something more they could have done. They are patient, kind and so caring.
I had been largely impressed by the services at Cary OB/Gyn; however recent events have changed my opinion. I am trying to get a note from my doctor, two or three sentences at most, that demonstrate the need for me to work from home. At first, the request was met quickly, but the initial note was very uncompelling and insufficient. I politely have been trying to get the note slightly edited for the past several weeks to no avail.I am nearing my third trimester, which means the window for me to work from home is rapidly closing. I did not think such a simple request would take so long to grant. There was so much time wasted where I could have been working from home, which would truly help me and my child.Because the service up until this point had been, overall, good, aside from one provider being rude and inconsiderate to me, I am very disappointed with this turn of events. 😔 I wish the doctor in question (who I am not naming out of consideration) would have taken 5 minutes to help an exhausted pregnant woman and, indirectly her child, out.Update: After more than two weeks, countless hours of stress, multiple phone calls, multiple emails, and back-and-forth galore, the doctor has said he is unable to edit the note. That would have been helpful to know weeks literally weeks, ago.Thank you for reading this,
I had a great experience today. Thanks to Dr. Robin Piper and her staff, I received great care. My medical assistants were Laura Cribbs and Ava Thaxton. They were compassionate, and kind, and helped me feel comfortable. I highly recommend this practice and will definitely see Dr. Piper again. Im considering switching to this practice because Dr. Piper and her care team are excellent.
Dr. Maydew is my regular GYN and she is always very friendly and professional. We also got the chance to work with Courtney, the Nurse Practitioner, for our initial OB appts who has also been great and very thorough and answered all our questionsI also really appreciate the timeliness of appointments and ease of getting in contact with the staff/providers through the portal rather than having to wait for a phone call like many other offices make you do
Are you worried that when you go to the doctor that they wont spend time with you or explain anything or maybe talk down to you? Well, that will never happen with Dr. Rodrigo. He has been empathetic, informative and honest with me at my visits. I dont feel rushed and he is looking at me and listening to me during my appointments, not at a computer screen.
Id give no stars if possible. Conflicting information between nurse and Dr., relentless non stop phone calls even after asking to be removed from reminders, no return call from billing about my statement, staff is short and unfriendly, then a $75 no show charge after I cancelled my appointment. When I called to discuss that no show charge ... you guessed it, no return call. Worst Dr. office I have ever been to.
I didnt want to leave this review, but after my most recent visit, I felt I had to. If youre a plus sized woman, find another OBGYN. Ive been going to this office for 9 years and thought it was all in my head, but after my most recent visit, I realized it wasnt just me.Incident 1: Pregnant with my first kid, OBGYN commented that I was gaining too much weight, I responded saying my kid felt big, she told me to lay off the oreos. Kid was born 9lbs 12 oz. She also was BARELY available during my labor, I think she checked on me once? Super unprofessional. My kid was born on a shift change, because her replacement scrubbed in and realized I was overdue to push. Kid was born at 7:07.Other Incidents: Pretty much once I had my kid, my followups were normal but always went back to my weight gain. Eventually, this last one, felt like it was more about my weight then OBGYN related issues. I have felt fat shamed on more than one occasion at this office and Im done. Im not surprised, since theres billboards for botox and other beauty products in the lobby.Im sure this review will be deleted, but wanted to get my two cents out there. This is not a place for people who do not fit a certain, preferred body type. After 9 years, I will not be returning. Also: Its a MIRACLE if youre seen on time, 20 minutes behind is like winning the lottery.
I saw most providers years ago when pregnant at 22 years old, during the height of covid. One of their providers, Michael Anthony, interrogated me, insinuated I was ignorant, and left me with a pamphlet so I could reconsider my choice regarding the Rh immunoglobulin shot. Ladies, I beg you, consider why these shots are prescribed, how your doctors are motivated (merit based incentives, aka money), and/or, at least, the tact with which a doctor interacts with you. This doctor found a young pregnant woman, forced to be alone due to their covid protocols, who dared to research and plan what she wanted for HER body and HER baby, and met her with snide malice. Dr. Michael Anthony, my children were born with the same bloodtype as I have, and that shot came out in the 60s. Ladies, trust yourselves. Do not be intimidated away from what you want during such an emotionally vulnerable time.
The majority of the doctors and all the staff were great. I had difficulties through my pregnancy and they were attentive and tried their best to accommodate last minute requests because I was having issues. However I had an uncomfortable interaction with Dr. Wyckoff. Her method of communication felt judgmental and I felt like I was being talked down to. I considered moving after the interaction but I was too late in my pregnancy. Because of the office policy births have to be done by a certain date, unfortunately for me Wyckoff was potentially going to be my doctor during delivery, knowing that made me cry for days. I was so unhappy knowing she may handle my induction. Thankfully she did not but she was there for my discharge and my interaction with her again made me uncomfortable.I wish the office had more flexibility when it comes to their policy and more transparency with the schedule with who is working what days. I think that would be so beneficial in allowing induction patients to be induced by a doctor they are comfortable with.I would also advise everyone to meet all the doctors early on in your pregnancy. I saw NPs sometimes and although they are great, I wish I used the appointments to meet all my doctors and see if I am comfortable with all of them before it was too late to transfer to another practice.
I love this OBGYN, been going here for a few months now, all the doctors I met so far are so nice , the nurses are nice & even the front desk staff. They will make sure you are comfortable while getting everything done and will help keep you calm. They get you in and out the facility quick & in a timely manner & give you alot of good information to help throughout the pregnancy. I would recommend! Don’t mind these negative reviews other people are posting , because these people are great & haven’t had a bad experience at all !
Had an induction and postpartum follow-up with Dr.Wyckoff as our provider and had an amazing experience. It’s obvious she goes above and beyond for her patients and is very detail oriented. We would recommend her to our closest family members.
Listen, I’m not trying to get caught up in the drama of leaving a bad review but I’m still frustrated days after my appointment. Long story short: if you have PCOS, steer clear of Doctor Robin Piper. You’ll leave feeling frustrated and stupid. Find literally anyone else.
Jennifer Fraley is by far the BEST. I came in for my second to last appointment not expecting anything. She let me know her track record for membrane sweeping was pretty successful so I let her perform one. That same day I started getting contractions and got admitted to the hospital. Next morning my baby arrived. She was more than incredible throughout the whole process. She is sweet as can be and highly motivating. I am beyond thankful that she was the one to deliver my baby.
Worst place to go if youre new patient. I drove 45 mins to be there and they turned me away because i was 5 mins late for check in. FYI my appointment was still after 15 minutes.SO technically not late yet.But they wont take you in because they they have high patient to provider ratio. I would say hire more providers or let us know before hand you wouldnt take in if we are not in before a certain time. Never had so disappointment in an appointment before.
Would you like to be traumatized and treated like a burden? This is the place for you!3 years ago I had a birth control implant inserted in my arm here - and its time to swap it out. (When it was inserted, the provider didnt fully numb the area on my arm. Not only did it cause me excruciating pain, but the tissue damage took MONTHS to heal. She was apologetic, and I could tell she genuinely didnt mean for it to go sideways. Fast forward to today - I scheduled an appointment for an annual exam. When I called, I explained Im already a patient. They said, well, we have to input this in our system as new because its been a while. Okay, fine. They also said, you need to arrive 20 minutes early. I said okay. I did my absolute best. I thought I gave myself enough time, but between traffic lights and trying to find parking, I only arrived 13 minutes early. They were ready to turn me away the second I walked in. I pushed back because it took a lot of anxiety and scheduling on my part to get this on my calendar! I used precious PTO time to be here today. They didnt care. Its a NEW PATIENT POLICY, they repeated. BUT IM NOT A NEW PATIENT. I VERY MUCH REMEMBER EVERY HORRID MOMENT OF MY LAST APPOINTMENT HERE, THANKYOUVERYMUCH.I went full Karen and asked to speak to an office manager. They sent me to sit down. When the office manager called me back, I explained that I understand their new patient policy, but Im in their system. But its our POLICY, she insisted. Yes, for new patients. Which I am not. After several minutes she finally decided they could see me despite me being utter trash for my 7 minute delay, and she sent me back to the desk to check in. Its now 3 minutes to my scheduled time. The person at the front desk finally takes my insurance and ID, and hands me a bunch of...you guessed it!...NEW PATIENT PAPERWORK. I asked again, hey, I understand were labeling this as a new patient appointment and all, but you guys dont have ANY of my medical information? Oh, yeah, we have it, but the doctor wants the paperwork too, the front desk person said. (THIS FROM THE PEOPLE WHO EMAILED ME TODAY TO ASK ME TO GO PAPERLESS ON BILLING.)Let me repeat that: The doctor wants the paperwork. For the sake of the doctors precious time in keeping everything as scheduled, the doctor cannot be bothered to open my existing patient file to find out for herself that my period started at 16, since thats so critical to my 41 year old check up today. I need to sit in the lobby for another 20 minutes writing it down again. And as I sat there looking at this stupid paperwork, I just thought: what am I doing with these people? They care more about a stupid policy than keeping a patient. They care more about following a stupid policy about this time-consuming unneccesary paperwork than they do about my actual medical history. Why would I want anyone here to be my trusted medical provider? Why would I want to reward them with my money after they have made it abundantly clear to me that I am a burden? Why would I want to trust that my medical concerns are being heard by providers who would delight in turning away a patient because of a policy that shouldnt even apply to me. And if its so critical, why not tell me its at 1:30 pm, not 2, but arrive 20 minutes early? Why am I going to sit here and let them make me feel like Im the problem? Was I seven whole minutes late? Yep. Not going to deny it. I did my best, but I am human. Should a 7 minute delay give them authority to make me feel like a criminal and inconsiderate jerk? Absolutely not.So I returned their clipboard and explained that while its incredibly inconvenient for me to miss this appointment, if I am going to have to start all over I might as well do it with someone better. Someone who will treat me respectfully, and appreciate that out of ALL the abundant options in this area I chose their practice. This is not that place. So if youre looking for a provider, save yourself the frustration (and potential excruciating pain!) and go absolutely anywhere else.
I had my first baby with Cary OB/GYN and my delivery process was smooth. The doctors are ok in the office but their pricing is horrible. At the beginning of the pregnancy the global delivery fee they offered was $4800 and they say it is an “estimate”. I paid full price maybe at my fifth month and after delivery I had another bill saying the global delivery fee was $7300. When I talked to the office they said they have a price increase, 52% price increase is not fair and not a good “estimate”. They also said they will check with financial office but even I called the office to talk about the bill they never turn back to me. So think twice before you go here unless you want to have surprising bills.
Initially, this was a professional office, with quality time spent with me as the patient. However, I give it two stars because later, the doctor performed a punch biopsy on my inner area without anesthesia or sedation thatI asked for and couldn’t get it to work. The pain was incredible—so bad that instead of stopping, he continued punch after punch until I lost consciousness after the fifth or sixth attempt. It was unsuccessful. When I woke up, he was standing over me. I don’t know how long I was out. I opened my eyes. He didn’t even wait for me to fully regain my senses before telling me the procedure was unsuccessful and that we’d have to do it at the hospital because I needed sedation. I had asked for sedation from the beginning but was denied because he said it wasn’t needed, that it was quick and didn’t hurt much.He does not have a cervix/uterus. He wouldn’t know from experience. Ladies—GET THE SEDATION. This is no joke of a procedure, and I tolerate pain extremely well. The front desk stopped me on the way out to schedule the procedure again at the hospital and requested over $4,000 upfront due to my deductible. I told them I didn’t have the money right then, and they told me to call them when I did. This was a cancer screening—what’s wrong with our health system? Pay or die is basically where we left it.I was billed for a full biopsy that was not done and then sent to collections when I called and asked them to show me the biopsy report so I could pay it. Instead, I received a signed letter in the mail from the physician, firing me from the practice. They never once cared enough to try to work something out so I could get the procedure done. The doctor seemingly didn’t care about the pain he caused me, as he had no empathy. So, if you go there, keep this in the back of your mind. It started off as a great experience but ended on a very bad note. If you need a biopsy, do it at the hospital with a medicated sterile environment. This medical experience goes down as one of the worst in my life.
I thought this would be a great place to receive care but my experience has not been great and I am a patient at both the Cary and Morrisville location. The practice does a group-care approach so you don’t have one physician- you see whatever practitioner/physician that happens to be there. I’ve seen/been treated by 3 of their physicians. On a couple of occasions, I did not feel listened to. I can’t help but question whether it was because of my race. I had one doctor that didn’t show any excitement about treating me until she found out where I worked and what I do for a living. I had another practitioner that minimized my concern when I discussed it with her. Luckily labs confirmed my concern and I am grateful I was sent treatment right away. There was also a time where I had to interact with the doctor on call (Wycoff) and it was pretty obvious that I was struggling with the decision they made (e.g., terminate my pregnancy). I was tore up- my voice was so shaky, but I communicated with her to the best of my ability. She was so dry and showed no empathy in her voice. NONE! There was no “I’m sorry this is happening” or “I know this is difficult”- nothing. On top of that, when I went to the ER, she made decisions about my care but never came by my room. I was there for 6 hours and she couldn’t stop by for 1 minute? Just kept sending decisions to the ER staff on call without showing her face. I am currently looking for another practice because not only do I pay for care but I deserve to be listened to and cared about when I receive care. There are a few positives, hence the two stars. The on-call service is decent. It’s was also not very difficult to get appointments when I needed them-but this could be because patients are leaving. The Cary location also has a very nice waiting area-and both locations have small candy pops you can grab. One nurse in particular, Treece (sp?) was super kind. Front desk staff are also very nice. There are kind people there, but unfortunately these aren’t the people involved in health care decisions.
Ive spent far more time speaking to a voicemail than a doctor. The front desk forwards you to a nurses voicemail if you want anything other than an annual exam. She forwards you to a billing voicemail if you, God forbid, ask about the cost of a doctors consult - billing never returned my call.If you want to discuss anything with the doctor youll need to book a separate consultation appointment. . they dont have time for that at an annual exam, I was told. And they truly dont - when I finally did see the doctor, it was rushed.Following my apt, I had to call back and was told records got mixed up, . . . the Rx wasnt entered into the system. When I tried to book a follow up appointment, I was told there are no notes about it in the system. Once again, forwarded to a triage nurses vmail. In short, the practice is poorly managed, kept in business by more and more people moving to the area. Im fairly certain the nurses spend most of their day listening to voicemails.
This was my first pregnancy and I didn’t know that how doctors here are so hungry for your money and just money that they will keep continuing your complicated pregnancy without letting you know in all the appointments and when the time has all gone then they will say you to transfer your case to another hospital saying it’s a high risk pregnancy. Biggest mistake of my life that I went through this clinic. I wish I have power to close such services where they hide the stuff from you.No doubt here medical experts are just working for money money and money
This is for the mammogram portion of the practice as theyre two different offices. Bad experience. They want you to sign a paper saying youd be financially responsible for this new technology theyre using for the mamo if your insurance doesnt cover it. I said Id like to procedure IF my insurance covers. She said you can call em who me? I said, can you call? She refused. So a doctors office wont contact insurance to see if the only procedure they offer is covered? So she wanted me to sit there for 45 minutes on hold with insurance when she could have gotten right through? The rudeness and lack of compassion was so unbearable, I could undress myself and expose my private areas for a woman who was such a jerk to me over INSURANCE. What a MONEY HUNGRY PRACTICE. Im going elsewhere from now on.
Nice front staff, and the nurses were kind and helpful listeners. My provider was helpful as well. Unfortunately some paperwork must have gotten mixed up and my insurance wasnt processed. I received a large bill so I tried many times to contact the billing department. It seems that maybe only one person is running this department? I have left several voicemails and sent emails to attempt to resolve this. I called the regular front desk and still have been routed to the same billing voicemail. As a result of the unresolved processing, I have been removed as a patient of the practice. This is fine because I have other options where my insurance is accepted and I am not seeking to be reinstated. It was just a strange experience trying to file insurance, receiving endless bills for a standard exam, explaining to callers and collectors the insurance situation, leaving voicemails, then being banned. The medical staff were all kind and friendly though, it seems like a good place to receive excellent care.
Heres an honest review for those looking: If I could give this practice 0 stars I would. First, and most importantly, for expecting mothers... please beware of this practice. Here are just a few of the reasons I felt compelled to leave this review:1) During one of my maternity appointments, the doctor was 25 minutes late coming in to check me.... she did apologize, but got right to trying to find the heartbeat because she was now, as she put running behind. Because she was in a rush, she couldnt find the heartbeat (which had never been a problem before) and, in a rushed tone, told me we needed to pull in the ultrasound. This obviously made me panic. Another 15 minutes later (she clearly saw another patient in between), the doctor came back in, found that all was well and looked me straight in the face and questioned why I was so upset. I had been having a panic attack waiting for her to come back in after she couldnt find a heartbeat at 18 weeks.... That should have been the first sign of things to come. Its very clear youre a number here, not a person.2) During another appointment, one of the main doctors (a different one than the first) literally told me Ill write you a referral to a physical therapist ONLY IF you get your vaccine. I promised to get it, got the referral from him and then did not choose to get my vaccine at the time. Pretty sure thats illegal, to only provide a referral IF I do something in exchange.3) Fast forward, I ended up needing to have a C Section. No big deal, it happens. Post-recovery and almost a year later is the concerning part. A year + later, I have a 4 in gap between my abs, called Diastasis recti... this is common, but the severity of mine is likely caused by the clean up after the C Section, I am told. When I brought this 4 in gap to the attention of my doctor who performed the C Section, she immediately recommended a new service they had just began to offer patients... younique cary -- hmm, thats interesting and also a conflict of interest, in my opinion. The same doctor thats sewing you up now has no vested interest in taking care of you properly because they now have a business (!!) that you can see following birth! Definitely feels immoral.4) The phone answering service at Cary OBGYN is a nightmare... they are SO rude and you can never get straight through to them. This attitude was overlooked throughout my pregnancy, but now that Ive moved practices and scheduled elsewhere I realize that this is not normal. The practice should be nice, welcoming and dare I say... excited for you!5) Lastly, the billing department. If you still choose this practice after reading all of the above, good luck with their billing department and practice manager. One example that explains it concisely: they accidentally double billed me and my insurance refused to pay the second charge (obviously!). I called their billing department to alert them of the mistake, they never called me back. I called again, no response. Next thing I know, I am in collections... impacting my credit. I of course call with a sense of urgency, and get met with someone so rude they made me cry. I genuinely have never been spoken to the way their billing department spoke to me. They made me feel small and stupid. I got forwarded to the practice manager, who apologized profusely, corrected the mistake and was confused as to why I was in collections as she could see it was a double billing. I thanked her, moved on. Several months later, I went to call to schedule my next appointment and was told that they couldnt see me because I had an outstanding balance with them, meaning they had not corrected the issue and I was still in collections. Its a literal nightmare.I have made an appointment elsewhere and am SO looking forward to getting established with a practice who actually cares about their patients, doesnt have any conflicts of interest and has a competent staff that doesnt impact my credit score over a $300 double charge thats not owed to them.
Frustrating Delays in Prescription RefillsI want to share my ongoing frustration with the service at Cary OB, specifically concerning the process of prescription refills. On multiple occasions, when I have requested a refill through the pharmacy, there has been a consistent lack of response from Cary OB. This lack of communication forces me to follow up with additional phone calls to request approval for the refill. Even in instances where I have been assured over the phone that my prescription refill was approved, the pharmacy still reports not receiving the necessary authorization. This recurring issue has caused significant upset and frustration. It is disheartening to experience such inefficiencies and communication breakdowns in what is an essential aspect of medical care. I sincerely hope that this feedback will be taken into consideration and that necessary steps will be implemented to improve the prescription refill process at Cary OB.
Dr. Jennifer Fraley to the rescue. I highly recommend her. She’s very knowledgeable and patient. I felt rushed with my other appointments but she takes time to understand the issue of the patient and treats them as needed. I am so glad to find her. Thanks doc for everything you do!Everyone who assisted were very helpful. I recommend this place.
Worst hospital. Because of their carelessness I ended up in emergency. My cervix length was short which they didn’t find out in the scans due to that my I was 3cms dilated during my 3rd Anatomy scan and ended up in Emergency had a stitch to my cervix inorder to save the baby it was stressful and painful for me and my family. Faced depression.
Was searching for a new OBGYN in the area, tried calling this place just to ask some questions and get information. They immediately put me on hold. They then took me off hold to ask if I could be put on hold again and left me there over 15 minutes before I decided to hang up. Never been to this practice so I can’t speak on in person in the office. However my only interaction was bad enough to decide to not go here. Hopefully they can improve on that.
This review is NOT about the actual doctors services but about a particular Phlebotomist on this day at 2:45pm. Ive been coming to this office for years and have never had an issue with getting blood drawn until today. I have very small veins so I typically have to instruct the Phlebotomist on the size needle that will work as they all initially believe they can draw blood with the same size needle regardless of the size of the vein. It was no different today, but of course like many others I have encountered, she too thought she was so skilled at her job, she didnt listen. After jamming the needle in my arm that made me let out a scream (only one other time have this happened over 20 years prior for the same reason), she then proceeds to tell me that she had it but that I moved and after moving the needle around several times and realizing she couldnt get anything, she then snatches it out of my arm sending speckles of blood on my shirt and the chair that barely missed my pants. Not once in my years of getting blood drawn, have I ever had a Phlebotomist blame the patient for why they couldnt get the vein...she wouldnt stop going on about how I moved and then proceeds with how shes been doing it for 15 years. And here we go...the number of years of experience that always follows from the arrogance when theyre unable to get my blood with their choice size of needle and from not listening to the patient. Her 15 years is less than my adult life and even less than half of my lifetime. When she started to go for the next arm, I stopped her dead in her tracks...aint no way I was letting her touch my next arm. She then kept rambling on in a fast pace about what did I want her to do...I took my paperwork and walked out. Ive been getting blood drawn for more than twice the years shes been doing her job, and I will never let that woman touch me for a blood draw as long as Im seeing my current doctor.
Their Billing department is terrible and doesnt know how to submit tests to your insurance properly.Even though I asked them to resubmit properly (after talking to my insurance) they still want to bill me hundreds of dollars for a routine Mammogram.Ill never be coming back here and everyone else should be careful too.Edit:I just saw several other reviews with this SAME PROBLEM.DONT bother going to this place.
So far, I have had good experience at this place. Out of all the doctors, I have had best experience with Dr. Anthony and Dr. Bonpain. They both are highly skilled, knowledgeable, and active listener. Others doctors are good too but I just didn’t find their care personal and they were always in rush during my appointments. They both heard my concerns, doubts and educated me on pregnancy and PP health care which made me confident and less anxious on my pregnancy journey. I was lucky to have Dr. Anthony on my delivery day who took care of my newborn entry to world despite having 4 cord wraps around her neck. THANK YOU Dr. Anthony!!
Went in due to several concerning, severely painful and sudden changes with my monthly cycle. Said several times I was not interested in birth control for a number of reasons, I was there to ensure there wasnt something larger going wrong in my body (I have a history of cancer, cysts, etc.). The NP said, verbatim, Oh yeah well for this kind of thing we either do nothing or we set you up on birth control! Then proceeded to explain to me how a period works like I was a 12 year old. I took her handful of brochures and left entirely defeated and frustrated. Do not go here if you dont want to hear that birth control is the solution to every female problem.
Not a place to go if youre looking for compassion when you have severe endometriosis. Oh and for sure, make sure you verify that they actually take your insurance. Poor scheduling, poor communication with care team, zero recommendations when I needed a new provider. 0/5 stars
The phone operator sounds like you own her million dollars when you trying to schedule an appointment. I waited in line for 30mins but only talked for 2mins because she just hanged up when I was trying to ask for more explanations on the question I have. I doubt ladies will have good treat if the phone operator is sounds so rude.
The front desk ladies are very unprofessional and never pick up the phone.
We recently had our first child and through both a c section and other complications, Cary OBGYN has been nothing but supportive and helpful through the experience. It is amazing how fast things can go from a good position to a bad one and both the doctors and nurses did amazing work both to take care of my wife and daughter but also kept me informed and answered all the questions i had through the process.
I haven’t been super pleased with my PA’s at Cary OB/GYN over the last two years (I’ve seen two). But today I saw Dr. Bonpain for the first time and am so excited to have an OB/GYN that I love again! She was wonderful. Very thorough in her explanations and told me exactly what she was doing every step of the way. She is a very sweet person and seems to have an awesome personality! I prefer to have a good relationship with my doctors because and I like having a relationship where I can talk to them and not feel judged for anything.I was immediately comfortable around Dr. Bonpain. She has a energy that lightens and brightens the room. She was also very knowledgeable on top of it all. This experience was great and I couldn’t recommend her enough!I would absolutely give Dr. Bonpain 5 stars! But I chose 4 stars as I would give my PA’s a 3 star review. Overall I love both offices of Cary OB/GYN. The front desk staff and the nurses are always amazing and nice and make every visit pleasant!!
Ive been seeing Dr. Elita Wykoff for about 5 years now and I absolutely love her! I moved all the way from Alaska and I was so scared about finding a new doctor and not liking them... and after meeting with a few doctors and then her, I knew right away, she was the one! She always answers all my questions and gives me comfort because of the knowledge she has. She is very professional, but also personable, funny and caring. I am so happy to have found her! The staff and nurses are always very pleasant as well.
Friday was my first visit and I wasn’t pleased with one of the check in personnel. She started arguing with me about scanning my Insurance information therefore I had to ask for a supervisor but supposedly the clerk was having a bad day. Well, after checking in the staff, nurse and especially Dr. Farley was very professional and concerned about the patient health. The experience and care I received was superb. Dr. Farley was through and explain my care and plan in details. She has very good bedside manners. I really like her attentive to her patient. Her nurse was very nice and professional when she triage and enter my information. Thank you 🙏 for your kindness and caring for others. Also, the lab staff were very professional and really helpful. I would like to say I am so sorry about the front desk clerk in the lab mother. I know this is a very difficult time for you but I am praying for you and your family. I will refer my family and friends to this OB-GYN care.
Ive been living in the United States for a year, and although I dont speak the language perfectly all the staff made me feel comfortable and content... Im infinitely grateful to them for that!Dr Rodrigo was very professional. He offered me a remote translator, but in the end it wasnt necessary because he also speaks Spanish.. lucky me!The attention is excellent, both at the clinic and by phone (I had to call them in Thanksgiving and in 5 minutes a doctor call me back). The system is perfectly organized, and every time I go as many doctors as the reception girls are aware of all the studies that I have to do.
Dr. W always greets me with positive energy, encouragement & relevant questions regarding the purpose of my visit!! Who does that??? Skilled, knowledgeable healthcare professionals committed to caring for their patients. Dr. W actively listens, asks appropriate questions & takes the time to think, to think, to think before launching a plan of attack to address my issues. Then she reiterates, gives me time to take notes and has never rushed through any of my appointments. If she leaves this practice, I will follow her up to 100 miles - anywhere one way. Yeah, that’s how good she is!Dr. W - you absolutely rock! #MrsDocMagic
I was left in a room for almost an hour, cold waiting on the provider. When she arrived I asked about medication and she told me we didn’t have time to go into details, that was for another appointment. I asked for a referral because my last provider in Florida suggested I have one and she wouldn’t give me one because I was not 45 years old. The worst part, she did my exam and after she left the room, all the utensils and items were still on the table along with my paperwork. How scary is that to not even know if she did a proper exam. I’ll never go back. Worst provider I have ever seen.
They don’t value patients, you’re just a number for them. I don’t recommend this place, they just care about their money. They recommend multiple ultrasound & schedule you to see the Dr. right after as if the dr. will review the imaging immediately. Then you will get another call from their office to come and sit with the dr again to discuss the results. They charge you twice for reviewing the results, they don’t care about your time. The other upsetting thing you sit in the exam room waiting for 45 minutes, the dr. will show up yawning and talk to you for three minutes, hardly answering any of your questions.
Dr. Bonpain is genuine, professional, knowledgeable & has a great bedside manner. She has been my doctor for 6 years. I am truly satisfied. She listens to me & answers all of my concerns. The staff is very professional & friendly. This practice is organized & clean. They surpass 5 stars in my book!
Dr Bonpain is terrific. Going to see her is like reconnecting with a good friend. She is upbeat and really listens to all my concerns. I always walk away with a little more knowledge and recommendations. Always a positive visit.
My wife drove over an hour (we live over 70 miles away) only to be turned away for being 2 minutes past the 15 minute window she had to arrive. She left 1/2 hour early to account for traffic, but there must have been an accident. She called ahead and let them know that she might be a couple minutes late, but when she got there she was turned away. She called me in tears, she had taken off work, and as we have just moved to the area, she had already waited a couple months to get it. They told her that it would be over a month to get her back in. I am so disappointed in healthcare when this kind of thing happens. It feels so uncaring. No matter how good the Doctors may be, their front desk staff and how they interact is just as important. I hope someone from your office will follow up and make things right.
This was my first visit.I am new to the area. I’ve seen many providers in my years as an adult. Dr Anthony is one of the best. I felt comfortable telling him everything that was going on with me. He took his time and explained everything to me. I didn’t feel he was rushing to get to the next patient. He even went the extra mile and looked up the cost of a medication for me whereas most providers would have “passed the buck” to their nurse or receptionist. He even has a wonderful sense of humor and I feel as if he cares about my health and well being. He didn’t only tell me the good things but she shared the negatives as well as far as the medication he prescribed. I am so glad that I chose him as my new gynecologist.
Every visit Ive had has been exceptionally outstanding. The entire staff is considerate, compassionate and extremely tentative. Theyre very personable with your unique situation. I have very high anxiety when it comes to ANY doctors office but, it never fails that I always leave Carys OBGYN office feeling secure, confident and most importantly stable. Thank you ladies!!!
Ive been going here for a few years now and had my second child with this practice. I really enjoy the friendly staff and wait times tend to not be too long. There are visits where theyve even taken me back within only minutes if not only one after signing in.I had a visit today with Heather Flowers and could not say enough nice things about this woman. She was very friendly, personable and informative. I love that she was also very patient and answered all my questions and concerns, some not even related to the visit. Definitely a great OBGYN if youre looking!
Outstanding! The nurse I had, Mika, was incredibly friendly and helpful! She took the time to answer my questions and get me settled before meeting with the doctor. Dr. Rodrigo is absolutely amazing!! He is always so friendly, professional, and made me feel so comfortable throughout my appointment. I have nothing but positive things to say about this experience!
Dr. Bon Pain is the most amazing physician. She listens intently, has an incredible spirit and genuinely cares about her patients. The staff is equally welcoming. This group was recommended when we relocated to Cary 15 years ago and I am so grateful to have found them.
I have been a patient here for three years and I have seen all the physicians. I absolutely love love love this practice and every single physician. My go-to doctor is Dr. Wyckoff because she is exactly the kind of doctor I need--encouraging, patient, informative, and really cares about my opinion of the treatment I receive. She also delivered my third child and was the best OB I could have ever asked for. She coached me through a very difficult labor, and if it wasnt for her being quick on her feet my little one may not be here today. She is some kind of fierce in all the best ways and can still remain calm, collected, and encouraging. I also have to say that I love Dr. Rodrigo as well. I think he is an amazing OBGYN, and he is always a pleasure to see in the office--you are guaranteed a laugh and a smile every time you see him. Overall, every physician in this practice is amazing. I love the front desk ladies; they are kind, organized, and have a sense of humor which is a really nice thing in a doctors office. I plan to remain a patient here forever. This practice is absolutely awesome.
I met with Dr. Wyckoff for the first time about a month ago and she was the best that I’ve ever experienced. She took the time to get to know me, made me feel comfortable, and answered all of my questions without making me feel bad or anything. As a young woman searching for an OB-GYN that’s very important! I had recently lost some weight and she even congratulated me while motivating me at the same time which she didn’t have to do. She doesn’t know how happy she made me, and the smile I had after leaving the office. I will definitely be returning!
This is my first appointment with this office, and I am going for prenatal care. All the staff were friendly and informative. The wait time was very good. I normally go to Duke for my prenatal care, and Im so glad I stepped outside of my comfort zone. They gave me a goodie bag with tones of information, a water bottle, and prenatal vitamin samples. I feel like, I will really love this place! Thanks for the welcoming experience!!!!
I recently moved here from CA and needed a new obgyn. My dreaded yearly appt was approaching and I was hoping to find a doctor similar to who I used back home. Dr. Fraley was very gentle and had good bedside manners. She made me feel very comfortable and came across as knowledgeable. I would recommend her!
The first time I have ever written an unsatisfactory review of a business. However, my experience at this practice warrants one in hopes they will use it to improve their customer service. If a medical staff member tells a patient they will follow through on something several times and then does not it is a poor reflection about the medical services a practice provides. I dont want to hear excuses for why my request fell through the cracks several times over. If you say youre going to do something for a patient be a person of your word and follow through. Its that simple. If you are potential customer and planning to go to this practice be prepared to ask for help only to get the run around. From ultrasounds to medical procedures to obtaining results of laboratory results you will meet challenges in communication and poor follow through, if any. After I finally receive my laboratory results back from this practice I will never give them my business again. To be fair, the anesthesiology company that they contract with for surgical procedures are competent, friendly, and are much more organized than this practice has ever been in my experience.
Pregnant with my first & so far my experience has been great. Every provider I have met with has been warm, friendly and more than willing to answer my questions. My concerns are always taken seriously, and the office/front desk staff is very helpful. I’m due at the end of August and I have met with Dr. Wyckoff 3 times now. She has a very calm manner about her, and she is very thorough at each visit which is important to me. Will stick with them for all of my OBGYN needs.
First, I don’t usually write reviews.I just love Dr. Wyckoff. She has excellent bedside manner. I know I can trust and depend on her for all my health needs. She’s very knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, happy, and an all around incredible doctor. I have had 2 children with this practice as well. The staff is amazing, super friendly, happy, and a real pleasure. I would highly recommend!
The staff has been very nice and helpful when I forgot about my appointment this morning, and they called to see if I was coming or wanted to reschedule, and they were super nice and not short tempered at all. There wasnt an extra charge for missing the appointment, and they were able to fit me in later that day.I really like Dr. Fraley - shes to the point, but is also really nice and great about answering all of my questions - even when I think of five more right as shes about to leave.Ive only been going here a couple months, but so far, so good!
Dr. Rodrigo is professional and his friendly manner puts patients at ease. Theres no patient shaming when lifes taken over and you didnt make your health and annual appointments a priority, as many moms do. Theres little to no wait time and office staff is courteous and helpful. Above all everyone goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable and valued.
So my Baby is here and we’re both healthy so for that I am grateful. However this office was a constant source of anxiety throughout my pregnancy especially the last weeks. If you have any extra weight on you I honestly wouldn’t see Dr Anthony he clearly has a weight bias. When seeing me at 26 weeks he told me I would probably be induced at 37 weeks because of all these complications that could happen. However my pregnancy had been perfectly healthy up until that point. They don’t seem to communicate well among the Drs. Dr Wycoff didn’t know how far along I was and said the wrong date twice. I felt pressured into an induction that I did not want and honestly and felt like I wasn’t being listened to when I expressed concern. One doctor even toldMe I was going to Have a stroke and myBaby was going to die when I asked aboutEvidence based research to back up mySupposed need for an early induction. I woundUp Having to have a csection because they missed something very important in my file and my induction failed. I had to advocate for myself over and over. All and All I was not happy with my level of care and will be transferring out of the practice.
Dr. Wyckoff is the best! Ive been seeing her for several years. She delivered my 3rd child. She is patient, kind, fun and great at what she does. I always feel at ease when I leave her office.
This was a new patient visit and my first time at this office. I felt very comfortable with Dr. Wyckoff. She really took the time to listen to me and address my questions and concerns. She turned what could have been an anxiety producing experience (new MD) into an experience that validated a decision to choose this practice.
This was my first visit with Dr. Bonpain and I was completely blown away by how comfortable and relaxed she made me feel while talking about a very difficult subject. She did not rush me, she listened to my concerns with a very compassionate ear and took the time to thoroughly explain next steps in resolving my issues. It was a great experience from beginning to end.
The front lady at the morrisville location is absolutely terrible. I signed a financial agreement in my first visit. I asked about the form in my second visit, and she acted like I knew nothing, there is no such a form in my system. I told her I signed the form and why it is not there anymore. It’s a legitimate question. But She had a terrible attitude and even stormed out!! Can you believe that?! I am the patient and the customer of your clinic, it’s my and many other customers/patient’ money so that you can have your paycheck. And that’s is your attitude? That’s absolutely terrible and unacceptable! The management should take it serious and make your staff to act professional!
I’ve been a patient of Dr. Fraley for several years and have had nothing but positive and professional experiences with her and the Cary Obgyn staff. She is extremely kind, patient, personable and a great listener. I would 100% recommend Dr. Fraley to anyone looking for an amazing new OBGYN!
Dr. Wyckoff was amazing. I just had a new patient visit with her, and I couldn’t be happier. She took her time introducing herself, getting to know me and my personal history, and answering any questions I had. She’s very realistic and personable, and I’ve already recommended her to a friend. I’m so happy I found this practice!
If it weren’t for Dr. Wyckoff, I would leave this practice. The front staff don’t seem to care and slouch nearly lying down in their chairs. My appointment was more than 45 minutes late and something that should have been 30 minutes was more than an hour. No one said a word about the delay and I watched pregnant women come and go while I waited. If they only want to handle pregnant patients, they should advertise that and have us who are beyond child bearing years go elsewhere!
I saw Heather Flowers, one of the nurse practitioners, and was extremely happy with my visit. I’ve been visiting ob’s for almost 10 years now due to ongoing issues I’ve struggled with and she made me feel completely comfortable and at-ease, which has not always been the case for me. All my questions were thoroughly answered and not rushed. She listened, was empathetic and came up with a new solution for me to try. I finally now have hope that my problem may be coming to an end.I normally see Dr. Maydew and she is great as well. I’m relieved to have finally found a great OB office. The Front office and clinical staff are always so nice and welcoming as well. Thanks for everything you all do!
STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY. This practice needs a negative one star. Extremely egoists doctors who wont listen to your questions at all. We considered switching the practice but unfortunately we are 34 weeks in and no other practice would accept us beyond 32 weeks. I totally take the blame on ourself for not making the switch earlier and now we are stuck with them till the end.Only 2/6 doctors (Dr. Bonpain and Dr. Rodrigo) are nice and we actually had good experience with them. However, there is no guarantee that you will have either of them for your final delivery as they dont let you choose the doctors. It has been a HORRIBLE experience. Do yourself and your spouse a favor and switch it to a better practice before its too late. These doctors (and their nurses) will insult you right on your face because they cant tolerate any questions asked to them. Extremely poor communication. Seems like there is zero co-ordination between the doctors. One doctor would advice you one thing while the next doctor will advice you exactly opposite leaving you confused and unsatisfied. They think they are doing a favor to the patients by attending you as if we are using their services for free. These doctors dont even know the content of their own brochures which they give out to their patients. When we asked them to explain a few topics from their brochure ..one doctor said I dont believe we have it printed in our brochure and are giving it to patients while the other doctor said I dont think we follow such practice even though all the content was clearly printed in their own brochures. These doctors need to read their own brochures first before talking to the patients. They just think patients are stupid and ask stupid questions but to me they are exposing their ignorance and stupidity. They will repeatedly tell you We follow best practices in Raleigh/Cary area to support their extremely limited delivery/labor options. The statement is completely false as we talked with at least 4 other practices where they were following other procedures which was in no way out of date. Cary OBGYN is not flexible at all when providing options and this can be a MAJOR point for your delivery options so think 100 times before continuing with them.I respect doctors a lot based on what they do for us and community. However, this practice doesnt deserve any respect at all (Except the 2 doctors I mentioned above). These doctors needs some basic communication 101 classes before they should be allowed to practice.
I absolutely love this practice. I delivered my first baby with them and I had an excellent experience. The front desk staff is super friendly, and the Dr’s are all great. Dr Rodrigo delivered my baby and did a phenomenal job. Would highly recommend this OB/GYN to anyone.
Dr. Wyckoff is hands down one of the best physicians I’ve ever had the pleasure of seeing. She is kind and a calming presence that is careful to answer your questions and listen to what you are thinking and feeling. She has educated me with every visit and even when the news seems intimidating or unsure, I never left feeling confused or scared. I even travel from Durham to Cary to continue seeing her. Big props to Dr. Wyckoff and the entire staff there. They’re so wonderful!
I love Cary OB! Everyone is so nice and professional. The receptionists are always polite. All the doctors are awesome! I have been going to Cary OB for two years now and pregnant with my second child. Dr. Anthony delivered my first baby and did an amazing job with my delivery. I highly recommend this OB/GYN!
Generally, Im happy with my experiences with the staff and doctors. However, there have been a few times where I needed to get a hold of someone for help with a medical issue and its hard to get a quick response (if you get a response at all). Ive had to push to get an adequate explanation and guidance for a couple of medical issues.
I have been going to Cary OB/GYN for almost 20 years. Dr. Anthony has always been professional, engaging, and never hesitates to get to the point. He has a fantastic bedside manner, and I find him hilarious. The front desk staff has always been courteous and helpful.
After having a less than satisfactory experience with another local OBGYN I made an appointment with Cary OBGYN based on a recommendation from a friend. My experience here for the past two appointments has been nothing short of amazing. Everyone is so nice and welcoming from the time you walk in the door to the time you check out. I feel heard and listened to and never feel patronized. The nurses and doctors here treat you as a whole person and not just your symptoms. They are very good at giving explanations of what might be causing your problems, what they are going to do to help you, and what you can do to help yourself. They are very thorough with their work, always tell you what they are checking and why, and make you feel very comfortable. Would highly recommend to anyone!
I was waiting for Dr. Gilberto Rodrigo for more than 30 minutes. After he showed up for my annual exam, we also discussed my concern of not conceiving after a year of trying. He wrote referral for infertility clinic and charged me $160 for it. I was never charged before for something like this and I find it very unethical. He gave me a couple of information (I didn’t ask for them nor I was warned it will be charged) and coded it as “infertility service”. I was already late for work since he was so late, so I wouldn’t be sitting at his office listening things I already know. Also, we were mostly chatting about life in Raleigh and house market (my husband and I are new in area) and I took it as a nice chat between Doctor and New Patient. Well, he wrote that my “Infertility consultation” was 20 minutes long and charged me $160. I will find another doctor and can not say that I am recommending Dr. Gilberto. Front desk lady (who specifically told me that I won’t be charged for anything since it’s my annual exam) and nurse were very polite.
Dr. Wyckoff is amazing! She really knows what she’s doing and makes you feel so comfortable. Not only does she die her job well, but she educated you and encourages you too! I would highly recommend her for anyone looking for an amazing provider. I will be a patient wherever she is a provider. The doctor’s office is not a place you usually look forward too but Dr. Wyckoff is changing that for me. Having a doctor you can trust is priceless. The other staff members are great too!!
I just met with Dr. Anthony, for the first rime and he is a Great doctor! I was a transfer patient and had to be seen by the NP for my first 2 visits. But Dr. Anthony Seriously will sit and listen to all your concerns! I wish I knew I’d have him for sure when I deliver! Great great practical guy!UpdateMay2022- I am pregnant with twins. this pregnancy has been a complete different experience than my first. I feel like the providers here are literally running on a schedule, the patient relationship is non existent. I have only come across 3 providers here that take the time to read your chart and care about your pregnancy :Dr. Wycoff, Dr. Anthony and Dr. BonPain. I wish I selected a private practice, I rather a doctor who cares and understands rather than these quick 7 min appointments. Please take your time before selecting this practice.
Ok for routine care but don’t recommend for maternity care. I found a different practice at 32 weeks. Doctors run very late (30-45 minutes) and usually rush the appointments, probably spent about 5 minutes with the doctor at most appointments. Felt like a waste of time to go to my appointments.Any concern I brought up at my appointments were immediately dismissed, except by Dr. Fraley. Doctors are unconcerned with patient wishes and preferences and have a “trust me I know what I’m doing” attitude. They do not take time to explain issues.Dr. Wycoff was the worst, judging lying, and threatening in response to my questions and concerns without taking the time to understand or ask any questions. I started my search for different care after my visit with her.
I really love the professionalism of the staff. I have been a patient of this office for a few years now and have always had great experiences. The physicians are patient friendly, very knowledgeable and always willing to educate their patients. I recently saw Dr. Rodrigo, who was very pleasant and professional. I would highly recommend this practice and wonderful group of professionals.
I have been going to Cary OB-GYN for almost 20 years, and they have treated me so well every time I set foot in their office. They have accommodated me multiple times over the years when I have needed a last-minute appointment. The doctors, nurses, and team are incredibly kind and I highly recommend them. Thank you for always taking great care of me!
Love this office ! The staff are so friendly and make you feel so welcome every time I check in. I’ve seen dr Rodrigo and heather flowers , both were so nice and approachable , and easy to talk to. Also spoke to Dr Anthony when he was on call for an gyno issue I was having- he called me back within 30 min, and was so helpful! All three of these practitioners were so wonderful to work with! ! I’m in My first trimester and have a lot of anxiety about what’s ahead, and these folks have a way of making my worries go away ! I’ve spoke to Nikki whos head nurse there, and she is so sweet and has a great way of comforting you ! They are patient , compassionate people that truly love what they do and it shows. Excited to see more of them as I go further along in this journey!
Dr. Wyckoff was concerned about my blood pressure being at stroke level. She refused to allow me to leave until it went down, which it didnt, so she got me an immediate appointment for the Cary Medical Clinic 1 level down from her office. I am now on 2 medications to control my pressure and am watching what I eat and exercising. My husband and I are beyond appreciative for Dr. Wyckoffs insistence to ensure I get on the right track and get my pressure under control. She is caring, smart and knows her stuff. Even though we moved 48 miles out of the area, she will be my doctor forever. I highly recommend her!!
Dr. Bonpain is the best gynecologist I have ever been to. She delivered my baby and was really caring and positive. She has answered all my questions and made things so comfortable and she is really sweet. I would definitely recommend her to any mom to be.
I was new patient who scheduled an appointment with Dr. Wyckoff. Let me start off by saying I will never be returning to this clinic nor will I ever recommend it. I have never been in a more unprofessional environment in my life. Firstly, upon entering the room she mentioned youre naked, typically I like to meet people first before they take their clothes off? after her nurse tech put the gown behind me without further instructions. She proceeded to introduce herself. Secondly, the tech filled out my medical questionnaire for me and asked me grossly general questions instead of allowing me to answer the specific questions listed on the form - having to recall my concerns from memory. And thirdly, Dr. Wycoff breezed over my medical concerns but stated potential causes of my symptoms may cause infertility or be due to endometriosis and quickly moved on. She said well you wouldnt know anyways until youve tried to conceive for a year, so dont worry about it. I am in my late 20s and have not considered having children yet. She palpated painful areas of my body and gave no explanation as to what could have caused it, she just said, if it hurts do a pelvic ultrasound in a week. Honestly, the list could go on. I left this appointment with more questions than answers and immediately scheduled an appointment with someone more reputable to give me a peace of mind. I wish I could erase this visit from my memory.
If I could give zero stars I would. As a practice manager at another OB/Gyn this has been so disappointing. I have been a patient here for over 12 years. This place has turned into a place filled with RUDE staff who dont know what is going on and they only care about $$$. You are a number, not a patient in this practice. So unfortunate bc I used to love it here. Ive had several other friends (upwards of 10...so far) leave this practice for the same reason. So sad that it has come to this. I welcome someone to contact me from Cary OB in regards to this.
I have been seeing Dr. M. Anthony for quite sometime now and he is the best doctor I could ever ask for. He’s an attentive listener when I explain my concerns, and he’s very thorough when explaining my appointment protocol. As an individual he is a great conversationalist and has a very calming nature about him. I look forward to all my visits with Dr. Anthony!
Dr. Maydew delivered our first child by c-section after we encountered a complication in our labor. Everything went so smoothly and she was very patient and transparent with us during the whole process. Being a first-time mom, I was pretty anxious but she listened and answered all of our questions and concerns. The nurses at WakeMed were also amazing and extremely kind. We had a wonderful experience and I hope to have her deliver any other babies we may have in the future!
I have been with Cary OBGYN since I moved to NC in 2010. I have seen several providers in the office and always had good experiences. I have been seeing Dr. Maydew for the last 6 years or so and she has been incredible. Staff is always very professional and friendly, and wait times are usually very minimal.
I always find myself so nervous before a doctors visit but Dr. Wyckoff always knows exactly how to ease my nerves! She makes you feel like more than just another patient. I tend to have endless questions and she takes the time to explain everything to me in detail. 5 stars all the way!
Frustrated by office’s billing practices. Was pre approved for IUD and informed insertion and follow up visit would be fully covered. Received bill for $337 and when I called my insurance they said the doctors office coded the visits incorrectly. I was on hold for an hour and informed the coding and charges had been corrected and charges would be removed. Now several weeks later I am still getting the same bills from the OBGYN. I don’t enjoy wasting time going in circles and would appreciate if the office would fix the mistake.
Dr. Fraley is amazing. She takes time to talk to you, really listens, and you can tell she really does care. I would recommend her to anyone. Ive been to both the Cary and Morrisville offices. The staff are very friendly at both locations. The Morrisville location seems a little newer and fresher.
I was highly dissatisfied with Dr. Wykoff. She was highly dismissive when I asked questions and refused to treat an issue that I was having. She also wrote me a prescription (which I did not fill) for a pill when I requested a topical ointment so, I went a different health care provider at Wake Med, Bryanna Larose, NP and she listened to my concerns and we worked together to come up with a solution that I was was ok with. I do not recommend Dr. Wykoff nor do I recommend Cary OBYN as I have been there a couple of times and I was not given good care.
Dr. Maydew came across as a very pleasing person, She listened to all my queries patiently and answered all my questions in great detail during my recent OB/GYN visit with her. She is a thorough professional and a knowledgeable doctor. I liked the fact that she was not in a rush and took time to listen and address things. Id highly recommend her.
I really like all of the doctors. Ive delivered two babies with two of the doctors and both were great experiences. The nurses are also very nice and call me back quickly when I leave a message on the nurse line. I highly recommend this practice! Its a great and comfortable place to be!
The staff members treated me with respect and were very attentive to my care. Though I had to wait a bit to see Dr. Maydew, I understood her desire to meet the needs of her patients and knowing she was going to take time to care for me as well I didnt mind waiting! Too many doctors these days just want to herd patient through the office like cattle. I appreciate a specialist taking time to address my concerns and not rush me.
I don’t know who their receptionist is but she’s rude as hell. I was calling to schedule as a new patient and her attitude was so horrible I just scheduled some where else.
Dr. Bonpain listened to me talk about my issue and took the time to talk it through and give me suggestions to find a solution to my problem. It’s not easy to find a doctor like her these days. I was going to the same OBGYN office for 20 years, but started to feel like they didn’t care. I feel lucky that I was recommended to Anne Bonpain.
IN RESPONSE TO THE COMMENT FROM THE OWNER: I sent a certified letter outlining my complaints to both the office manager and Dr. Wyckoff and have had NO response, except of course for the dismissal letter. Very clear no one made any effort to hear or understand my concerns.I was a patient for over 11 years with no issues. Recently had a procedure to remove polyps (uterine cancer runs in my family) and said it would be done in the office. I promptly expressed my phobia of needles-but I have medication that makes it completely manageable, and was told Dr. Wyckoff I would be fine. Again during pre-op appointment expressed my concerns and asked if I could take my medication before therefore avoiding all issues, she said she would need to ask the anesthesiologist, I never heard back from her. I show up early the morning of my procedure to ask the nurses and staff once again if I could take my medication to avoid panic attacks. Again I was told it would take 15 seconds and I would be fine. We go into the procedure room there is nowhere for you to place your arm so there is no support; your arm is literally dangling off of an examination table. After 30 minutes, countless sticks and the worst panic attack of my life, I was told by Dr. Wyckoff to “Calm down and quite yelling at the staff, and I was being inappropriate.” If it isn’t appropriate to have a panic attack in the safety of a doctors office where should I have one?!? ( by “yelling at her staff” I was saying I’m so sorry please go quicker I am having a panic attack as I was sweating, turning pale all the typical signs of panic attacks). She threatened to cancel my procedure saying I should have had it at the hospital. I ask if this was an option why didn’t you present this to me when I first said I had a phobia of needles?!? More blame placed on me. She yelled “get the husband in here” The nurse called him and said “your wife is being irate” not she is having a panic attack which at every single step of this process she tried to warn us would happen. Finally using the nurses leg as support they were able to knock me out and do the procedure. When I woke up the nurses said not to worry I had a panic attack. I counted 9 stick marks on my arm- is this normal for someone with a documented fear of needles? No follow up from Dr. Wyckoff. When I returned for my postop she said there were more polyps than she previously had found. I asked if I should be worried she said no. She asked if I was in any pain I said my arms hurt horribly and I asked her what happened she then blamed me for becoming combative. Really?! I find it hard to believe that an OB/GYN doctor has never dealt with a woman having a panic attack. She told me she had people that had fear of needles but nothing as bad as me. I was the worst she had ever had. Wow! How is that information helpful to me as the patient?!? She then said you are lucky we called your husband instead of..stoping herself. I asked her “instead of who?” she refused to answer. She then refused to examine me to make sure I was healing properly as she said if I hadn’t had any pain I was probably fine. Deciding it would be best if I found a new OB/GYN I have been in the process of asking friends and family who they would recommend when I receive a letter one week after my postop visit from Dr. Wyckoff stating that I am no longer a patient of her or Cary OBGYN. Again 11 years and 1 child not a single issue. This is shocking to me that a long documented mental health issue would be used so cruelly against me. Please please be aware if you are considering her as your doctor. I would NEVER want ANYONE to ever endure the abuse, both physical and emotional I had to endure at the hands of Dr. Wyckoff.
Ive visited both the Morrisville and the Cary office and the staff is very sweet and personable. The doctors are kind and knowledgeable and Ive never felt uncomfortable which is much appreciated in a medical setting. I love how with the patient portal you can view your test results and send messages to the office for better convenience.
I would give this office one star, but they have an excellent Doctor on staff, Dr. Rodrigo, who was so kind and helpful after I had an abnormal pap and a very unpleasant experience with Dr. Frayley a couple of years ago. Most recently, I finally had a successful IVF transfer and called to schedule my first 8 week appointment. However, I was told I had to speak with a particular coordinator, Michelle since Im not a normal pregnancy. After that call, I waited a week without a response and left a message again. It has now been almost two weeks and I have heard nothing. Meanwhile, I called two other practices and was scheduled immediately even as a first time patient. I am appalled at their lack of organization, communication, and apathy. Sadly, I will miss Dr. Rodrigo. He is too good for this place. If you are an IVF patient or high risk, go elsewhere!
I want to say the place is nice and clean and the providers are very professional and caring to your needs and concerns. However, I had a unpleasant experience with the ultrasound. The ultrasound tech was not informative as in she didnt say what I was looking at each step of the way. The quality of the pictures was terrible such as the profile picture that I like to keep for myself for memories. I felt rushed. I had my spouse with me for the first time seeing our baby and we didnt get to see the gender of the baby nor have a moment with looking at our beautiful baby. He had even question what he was looking at and she didnt give us a pleasant answer. I would not recommend taking baby ultrasound at the Cary location. I was expecting more caring, lovely and informative experience. As we know we do not see our baby in my tummy very much. So when we do, we like to enjoy our little bundle of joy each step of the way.
Update (Sept 2018): I appreciate the administrators response. Once I was able to make an appointment and be seen, I did have a good visit. I am revising my 1-star rating to a 3, as I think that is fair given the initial treatment, but good in-house visit.Original Post: I called to make an appointment as a new patient. I had tried to schedule for the Morrisville branch, but after several calls, there was no answer and a voicemail box that was full I could not leave a message. I attempted to call the Cary location (which apparently handles all scheduling but you wouldnt know this from any information they give you and make no mention of this in their automated greeting)... I am greeted and put on hold. For TEN minutes. I hung up and tried calling again. I was greeted and asked Could you please hold? but before I could respond, I was placed on hold again. I called back again... For the love of God, I just wanted to leave a message somewhere to be called back! I am greeted and before I could be asked to hold again, I blurted out to please not put me on hold and just transfer me to a voicemail. This immediately aggravated Alexi, and she very tersely told me she was NOT going to ask me to hold (in a tone that would be reminiscent of a defiant teenager). I calmly and politely told her my situation and apologized several times for bothering her, explained that I was at work, and Id already spent 30 minutes of my day just trying to reach someone/leave a message to make an appointment. In the same tone mentioned, she told me that there is no voicemail to transfer me to and the scheduler is VERY busy. She started taking my information and then asked me to hold again. I waited several minutes and then hung up. She was so rude to me in her tone, I cant believe this professional establishment (with a very high rating) would let one of their employees behave this way. I called back that afternoon and made an appointment with someone that treated me with dignity and respect. As a new patient, NOT off to a good start. I leave this review in hopes that the aforementioned person is not allowed to behave this way with other patients.
I just had a very uncomfortable appointment. I had my appointment today at 1:30, and being a mom with 3 kiddos, I didn’t want to bring them for my annual check up and waited for my husband to come home. He arrived at 1:15 and that delayed me a bit in getting to my appointment early. I arrived at 1:35, and sent a message concerning this is their new procedures.(the practice sent me a message to txt my last name once I park so they can let me know when to come in). When you send a message— they don’t notify you that they have received it and I sent it again at 1:46 thinking... well something is off. I called them at 1:50 to tell them the situation and I just wanted to know if this is their procedures because I’ve been sitting in my car for a while awaiting a response. This First Lady I spoke to, was kind and tells me to proceed inside.(I am not complaining about this part, I understand that this is all a new process and there’s adjustments to be made)As I am at the front desk, someone from the practice is calling me on my phone, only to talk to me in the most demeaning way and make me feel like it’s my fault that I am inside their facility at now 2:00pm. She tells me there are other patients in front of me and I now have to wait because it is now late. I tried explaining to her what happened and she completely ignored my comments and stated that they only have the 1:46 message from me. I have the messages on my phone time stamped from when I initiated the first message at 1:35.Now, feeling super uncomfortable because of how this lady just called me and the tone she used I ended up leaving. In the past, I have not had this encounter with anyone at this practice, and the doctors are pleasant. Now, I don’t feel like going into the practice and rather search for a different OBGYN.Also, I’d like to not that I’ve had gone to this practice for 2 years, and had plenty of visits with them because I used their services for prenatal visits and labor and delivery. And this is why the 2 stars.
Dr. Maydew is a kind, thorough doctor. She makes you feel at ease. Her staff is also friendly, courteous and operates like a well-oiled machine. I have never had to wait very long in the waiting room or exam room. Love this practice!
The girls at the front desk provided a much needed and welcoming smile..Mika was sweet and a good listener. Dr Rodrigo was personable and explained everything to me in a comforting manner. I had a great experience for my appointment!
There is no one like Dr. Elita Wykoff! She is kind, smart, patient, respectful, I could go on . . .She is the first doctor (ob/gyn) who has agreed to see my daughter, who has down syndrome. She is completely respectful and patient with her. She encouraged her to come to my appointments to see what happens and not to be afraid. I could not recommend her more highly! Her nurses are also stellar, and she is prompt!
I am a new patient to Cary OB/GYN and saw Dr. Bonpain for the first time yesterday. I can not say enough good things about her. She was so cheery and patient and took as much time as I needed to discuss my concerns and she had solutions to help me. She is so helpful and attentive. I HIGHLY recommend her to everyone.
One of the best experiences that I have had with a Dr. She was informative and made feel like my Health was really important to her. She listened to all my concerns with patience I never felt rushed. All of the staff in that office was friendly and caring.
Several symptoms/complaints were disregarded. I wound up losing my child. Please advocate for yourself. If you feel something is wrong, please make sure you are properly taken care of. A doctor made me feel ashamed for talking about certain symptoms I was having. I consistently felt rushed at each appointment. Post pre-term labor, I complained about pain and bleeding and was told it was all normal. They kept telling me to just call back if I kept having symptoms. Eventually I passed a large mass and the nurse told me it was a blood clot. I basically had to beg for an appointment. It was retained placenta. For six weeks I had retained placenta in my body, and if they had taken my seriously it could have been resolved earlier and I wouldnt have spent that entire time in pain.Im writing this just to let anyone reading know that you should always advocate for yourself regarding your health - do not let anyone make you feel crazy. You know your body better than anyone. I wish I had stuck up for myself more. My daughter might be here if I had.
I haven’t actually been to this place yet. So why am I reviewing it, you ask? Because I’ve tried for months to get an appointment and all that ever happens is I get sent to a voicemail box and nobody ever calls me back. It’s like they don’t care. The only reason I’m trying with this place is because I was referred by my primary doctor.EDIT: I’ve decided to update my review. I was finally able to get and go to an appointment yesterday. I saw Dr. Gilberto Rodriguez. He was extremely knowledgeable and explained things thoroughly. If you’re comfortable with a male doctor, I highly recommend him.The woman that helped me at the front desk was also very nice!I’m thrilled that I had a positive experience, and would love to give them 5 stars, but the fact remains that it took my complaining on the internet for someone to finally reach out to me when, imho, it should have been because of my need for medical help. So ya’ll lose a star for that.
Terrible. If you have any complications expect to be treated as a number. The front desk receptionist downstairs is the only positive experience I had. She was extremely comforting while everyone else was cold, informal, and did not take time to answer my questions or return my calls until 3 days after I left a message. Karen in billing is rude and extremely difficult to deal with. (Also, they take very few insurance companies and are NOT upfront about this.)
Front desk staff is always rude, unhappy, and unhelpful. However Dr. Bonpain is so wonderful that I dont mind. Dr. Bonpain is the only doctor I never mind waiting for. She makes you feel completely at ease and cares about her patients. She is knowledgeable and easy to discuss any medical questions with. Dr. Bonpain has a wonderful welcoming personality. You usually have to wait a few months to get an appt. with her but she is definitely worth the wait. She will be my Ob/Gyn for as long as she continues to practice.
I loved all of the doctors at Cary OBGYN. I chose them when I found out I was pregnant because of their high reviews on many different sites. I was slightly unsure of having to see the male doctors in the rotation because I had only been seen by women before. However, all of them were very professional, polite, and made each visit pleasant. I ended up being induced the day after my due date due to high blood pressure, and I started with Dr. Anthony, and by the time baby came a few hours later, Dr. Wykoff was on call. The labor was so fast and easy for me and I really believe both the hospital staff and Cary OB doctors did everything they could to prepare for an easy delivery. The entire experience was so fantastic. When I moved out of the area down to SC, I even considered driving up 3 hours to keep them as my OB, but figured that wouldn’t work out when we’re ready for baby number 2. I was very sad to leave the practice, but will always highly recommend them and Cary WakeMed! Thank you all for your excellent care! Baby Charlotte is now 7 months old and is doing great.
WONDERFUL practice! Have been a patient of Dr. Bonpains for many years, and she is honestly one of the most caring and nicest doctors Ive ever met. The nurses, ladies at the front desk, and all of the staff are amazing!
This was my first time meeting Dr. Maydew. She was very friendly, attentive, listened to my concerns and genuinely cared about my situation. I felt very comfortable with her. Everyone else at the office was kind, friendly and very welcoming.
Went here almost 1.5 years ago. Got a phone-call from a random nurse saying I had some irritation on my cells and that my results came back abnormal and to come back in 2 years, with no additional information. I logged into my portal and the doctor did not do a follow-up write up or conclusion. There was no pathology of abnormal cells stating what they were or potentially caused by. Terrible. I DO NOT recommend AT ALL. I just have to start completely over from scratch now and hope I get a doctor that actually does her job.
Ive been going here for a few years. I currently have some major medical issues, not related to Gyno. I worked with Dr. Rodrigo for the first time this past week and I cant tell you what a great experience it was. With his background, I feel comfortable with the quality of his medicine. Almost as importantly, this doctor is fantastic as a person...and that is oftentimes lacking in doctors. He listened, he helped and he made me feel like I mattered. I never thought Id laugh with instruments stuck inside of me but laugh I did!!!
I had my first appointment with Dr Wyckoff this week. She was recommended to me by my former Gynecologist who is retiring. I was very impressed with her. She took her time with me, answered all my questions and made me feel very comfortable. I am peri menopausal so I am entering a new stage of life, full of a lot not so fun side affects. I would definitely recommend D Wyckoff!!
I love how well organized this practice is. Everything went smoothly. Frankly that was the most comfortable pelvic exam I have EVER had. Dr. Wyckoff is fantastic. I love the time she takes to talk with patients before the exam.
I like the fact that the doctors take the time to discuss any concerns or issues you may have. They dont rush you like some places Ive been to. They are very professional and easy to work with. The only reason I didnt give them 5 stars is because Ive had to wait longer than I think is reasonable a couple of times. Otherwise, they are great.
This is one doctors appointment that I truly enjoy and do not have a fear of seeing the doctor. The staff is always nice and polite. Dr. Anthony makes everything so simple and hes always honest. He always makes sure you fully understand the information thats being shared. Thank you Cary OB/GYN.
I have been seeing Dr. Maydew since I was pregnant with my daughter 20 years ago. We have built a rapport, and I know that she sincerely cares about my health, and doesn’t treat me like just a number! :) The staff is always personable as well; and the facility is always clean.
I was in need of an OB/GYN and was referred to Dr. Wyckoff from 2 friends who dont know each other. She was everything they raved about and more. From the friendly staff, cleanliness of the facility, to meeting Dr. Wyckoff, and the smoothness of my exam: I am so happy l listened to my friends. I left my ear buds and they saved them for me. Thank you Dr. Wyckoff and staff, keep doing what youre doing!
Dr Bonpain is so awesome. She makes you feel so relaxed that I even sent my daughters to her. Great staff. You won’t be sorry you went there.
This practice needs to improve their customer service. The phone answering staff literally yelled at me ignoring the fact that the office sent the radiology order to a wrong office and need to resend the exactly same thing to a right place, just a matter of a click this is the answering team, the office is closed at 3 on Friday (the time we talked was 3:03), I only can take a message...or you call back in on Monday..., it was only 3 minutes passed three, Im sure the doctor or nurse had a great chance that they were still in the office not left yet, just need a click to send to a right place so that I could schedule my radiology appointment without delay. She could decline me politely but not to the point to yell at me ignoring patients urgency to see a radiologist with a big lump growing with pain. The bottom issue is that she didnt have a sense of caring to the patient while works in medical service industry. Her attitude is a shadow of this practice.
I recently gave birth and loved the experience I had with CARY OB/GYN. All of the providers in the Cary office were kind, willing to answer any questions, and made me feel comfortable with my labor and delivery plan. However, I am taking off one star for the Morrisville location. At 6 days postpartum I got Mastisis (which I pray no woman has to experience) and needed an appointment for antibiotics. I was put in the Morrisville office since there was no availability in the Cary office. Now admittedly I was late for the appointment. They have a 15 minute grace window and I was closer to 20 minutes late, but I explained to the woman at the front desk that I had recently had a baby and was moving slowly. I still have stitches from labor on top of the horrible flu feeling that was coming from the Mastisis. I looked around the waiting room and noticed I was the only one there so it certainly wasn’t an extremely busy day. That being said, there clearly isn’t a policy for postpartum care. I was told I could stay until the next hour to be seen. That could not work since I am exclusively breastfeeding a newborn. I understand the 15 minute grace window but, surely, there has to be some way to take postpartum women into consideration- especially under 10 days. If I was there for a regular check up- completely understandable. For postpartum care, though, there has to be a way to be a bit more flexible.
Dr. Fraley is absolutely wonderful! Kind, attentive, understanding, and timely she took great care of me. The staff is also very kind and supportive, taking great measures to keep all individuals safe and healthy.
If I have the option I would like to give 0 or negative as well.Writing this review from their office.I would never recommend cary obgyn to anyone.Im struck here as im almost near my due date and could not change my obgyn at this final stage. Here you only/mostly get appointments with nurse practitioner but not with MDs.And the ao called senior MDs are always in a hurry and they got to go before even answering your concerns.I do not know what is the point in booking an appointment with them when they are always in hurry.A BIG No NO to this practice.please stay away.1 week to my due date now Im much worried about how my delivery goes.
Dr. Maydew is by far the best OB/GYN I have ever had! (I’ve had 4 babies so you can imagine I’ve had a lot of experience in this area. 😉) She takes personal time with me every time I have an appointment. She makes me feel like I am her only patient for the day. I highly recommend her!
I have been a patient with Cary OB/GYN for 22 years. This office has the highest level of patient care. The staff are professionals. An appointment is always warm and welcoming while exhibiting care and understanding of your concerns. Highly recommend Dr. Michael Anthony.
Been using Cary OBGYN for over 4 years. I seen all the Dr.s and the Nurse practitioner and they are all great. Dr. Maydew delivered my daughter and she made me so comfortable (emotionally) during the entire process. Nobodys going to be 100% comfortable physically during labor but she made me feel heard and understood. Dr. Anthony is amazing! He performed an unexpexted emergency surgery on me and has always been super professional and easy to talk to. I never feel rushed when there. I believe they all really care about me and my well-being.
I never take appointments with a male Dr coz of my past experience. I was running short of time and had to take this appointment. A male gynecologist, I thought I was taking a risk.. But Dr.Antony made it very easy and comfortable for me. He explained everything very well. He had a lady nurse in the room during observation. Over all very good experience.
Love Doctor Rodrigo! He is laid back and very informative, he cares for his patients. Will not go anywhere else. Love this practice because of i need to reschedule they are willing to help you out with a new appointment!
Never even seen. Made an appointment a month before scheduled to be seen because my previous gyn retired rather suddenly. Cary OBGYN was aware of the important nature of this appointment and called me to cancel it an hour beforehand, having the audacity to tell me their next available appointment is a month out. They cancelled, not me. I told them I’d be out of state and their receptionist was very rude. Would not recommend.
Dr. Rodrigo is an excellent surgeon and OBGYN. He has gone above and beyond with my care and always has a wonderful bedside manner. He delivered my second child via cesarean at WakeMed, my experience there was stellar. He was thorough and thoughtful while following up with me regarding my post-op recovery. Furthermore, when I started experiencing painful symptoms he went above and beyond his calling to help diagnose and find me care regarding a defunct gallbladder. I would 100% recommend Dr. Rodrigo for your OBGYN care.
Dr. Fraley is by far the best Doctor I have ever had the pleasure of seeing. She is so personal and warm. She truly listens to what I have to say and doesnt make me feel like Im wasting her time. All the staff here are outstanding!
My sister had a baby recently and I cannot get over the crummy experience we had with Dr. Anthony while she was in labor. He was manipulative, impatient, and overall had no respect for her. He seemed to have his own agenda and behaved as if he had better things to do with his Friday. He made her fearful instead of offering support. Fortunately, he was hard to find when she overcame it all and was ready to push. Another doctor stepped in to catch my beautiful niece.
Horrible experience ever.. I got ditched by them when I’m only 5 weeks away my due date. I’m told to Go ahead and find another practice just coz my preference was a female doctor.. initially when I told them about my preference they were like ok will figure it out later and yesterday they moved my appointment from a female to a male doctor for internal checkup and I wasn’t ready for that.. I was pretty much comfortable with a male doctor for the delivery but they just moved my appointment to a male doctor without letting me know and when I called the nurse said go ahead find another practice..this is my 4th child and I have given birth in different states but they all were very flexible when it came to my preferences but this is the most worst experience of my life ever..please think before you decide seeing them please please there might be a lot other nice practices as well that will at least consider your preferences
Dr. Wyckoff is extremely compassionate and provides excellent medical care. She is very knowledgeable and more than willing to work together with the patient to arrive at the BEST solutions for health and longevity. LOVE her!
I always have a pleasant experience. Today the young lady who performed my mammogram was very friendly and made me feel comfortable during a very uncomfortable test, sorry I dont remember her name. I also saw Dr. Wyckoff. She is always professional, friendly, and puts you at ease, no matter how simple or complex your visit may be.
I cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Fraley and her staff, at both of her locations. Dr. Fraley is extremely knowledgeable and respectful to your requests. She took the time to listen to my concerns and patiently explained all the options available. From the first call to make an appointment to having blood work done, it was the best experience anyone could ask for thats going to see an OB/GYN! :D
I typically dont leave reviews, but Im compelled to after having a very disappointing appointment with Dr. Wycoff. She made me feel incredibly poor in regard to weight gain during my pregnancy and had very degrading recommendations to encourage my weight to plateau for my remaining weeks. As a first time Mom who has had a very easy and healthy pregnancy, I feel her approach was quite gruff and shameful. She is the only Dr. in the practice that commented negatively on my weight. Her method of speaking about weight is unfortunately commonly seen in general healthcare (which is awful), but I was quite shocked at her demeaning nature towards my body during pregnancy and how it is going to directly impact my baby and complicate my labor. If you are a first time Mom going to see Dr. Wycoff, brace yourself for a lack of compassion and empathy.
Delivered on 10/15 at WakeMed Cary with Dr. Gilberto Rodrigo. I had met almost all other OBGYN doctors at the practice during my pregnancy except Dr. Rodrigo till the day I went into labor (which was also the day I had my 38 week appointment). His sense of humor and warmth made me so comfortable and he knew when to calm and encourage me! He was confident and in control the whole time and I would recommend anyone to deliver with Dr. Rodrigo!!
Worse experiense ever!. not only been late 30 minutes for ANNE BOND BONPAIN and I need to be appology of saying that. It the second time it happened to me. I will not return!. Women Have Life, they work and have family... Their time is important . I would be forgiven ANNE BOND BONPAIN if she had appology me and explained what happened but instead she was yalling at me, and not repect me and my time and the stuff make me look like I am a foll. I hate going to this place MY TIME IS ALSO IMPORTANT.
Ive been going here since 2009 and couldnt be happier. Dr. Bonpain and Dr. Wyckoff delivered my children, and were incredibly helpful throughout and after both pregnancies. I continue to see Dr. Bonpain as my gynecologist and appreciate how thorough she is. Mostly I have not had issues with waiting (especially compared to other offices I have been to), and appreciate the online portal now!
This practice is fine if you never have any urgent or out of the ordinary symptoms or needs occur. If so, do not expect to get even an average level of care or concern if you contact them. My daughter became a new patient after Id checked the practice out and already used it to for an annual exam and mammogram (all were normal visits). She is a young teen who has experienced extremely heavy monthlys with excruitatingly painful cramping. She was given a pack of BC pills to begin just after her next monthly. Well it arrived in brutal force, such that she was bedridden and in severe pain for several days. I tried everything to alleviate her pain (OTC meds, hot water bottles, hot showers) but nothing was working at all. I contacted Cary OB GYN and asked for a return call. A nurse phoned me back and listened to what I just explained, to which she says: Well you should give her some Tylenol. What??? Yes weve already tried extra strength Tylenol, I said. It does nothing, which is why Im calling you for some help. So then she says Well thats all we can really do. So I let her know that was not good enough! Obviously Im calling to get some actual help not to be told oh well. I asked her to please go back and speak with the physician and call me back, then I hung up. By then I was fairly furious at being blown off as if my childs pain meant zero to this doctor and practice. I phoned our primary care physician, and they scheduled us to come in the same day to see the physicians assistant (Duke Primary Care). We went in, she was seen, and they were very caring and sympathetic and understand towards what was going on. She was prescribed Mefenamic Acid and I was given strict instructions to observe her when she took it and for awhile afterwards since she is allergic to ibuprofen. Fortunately for us, she was not allergic to the Mefenamic acid and it worked wonders. She was finally able to get some sleep and was feeling so much better within hours. Meanwhile Cary OBGYN called back to reiterate that they couldnt do anything, to which I was able to happily reply that I would no longer need to speak with or deal with them, goodbye. I will be transferring our records to a provider with Duke Health where I can get responsive, caring healthcare for myself and my daughter.
This was my first appointment with Cary OBYGYN after moving to the area. I went off the initial reviews, which look great. I ended up waiting 45min to be seen by a Dr.Wykoff (45min past my appt time). I explained my history, and that my previous doctor wanted to peform an exploratory surgery for endo. Dr. Wykoff said “ok” to scheduling the surgery - when neither she nor my nurse had reviewed my previous records. They could not even confirm the office received my records.I asked if further tests were needed (hormonal tests). She kinda shrugged, and moved on. When I asked about medication, she prescribed me new medication without explaining what it was or why she was prescribing it. The pharmacy had to explain. We also talked about a nutritionist, and the Dr said she would recommend one within my network - haven’t received that referral. In total, probably with the doctor less than 20 min.FOLLOW UP: after finding another doctor, 7 months later I was just diagnosed with PCOS. Endometriosis is still a possibility, which exploratory surgery can diagnose. This is also reassuring as Dr. Wycoff dismissed my pain and weight gain. I believe her words were “weight gain has nothing to do with this.” My new doctor ran all hormonal tests possible, which was never offered to me by Cary OBGYN. Please advocate for yourself, and don’t just accept a surgery without proper tests.
Dr. Wyckoff was very pleasant and personable. She took the time, despite being a little behind in their schedule, to ask relevant questions pertaining to my emotional well being during this pandemic, etc. It was my first visit to Cary OBGYN and seeing Dr. Wyckoff. I made a good choice.
People is super nice, but 8 out of 10 appointments started late. Sometimes 30 minutes + late… plan to always start later than scheduled
Heather Flowers, the Nurse Practitioner on staff is incredible! She made me feel comfortable and provided comprehensive care. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a womens health provider!
I have seen every provider with Cary OB/GYN and can honestly say that every single one of them is knowledgeable, attentive and personable. I have delivered three babies, one singleton and a set of twins, and have been so impressed with the care I have received. I continue to use Cary OB/GYN and Dr. Maydew for my postpartum/ annual care and love that I always leave feeling heard and advocated for. Would highly recommend to anyone!
I’ve had a great experiences with Dr. Bonpain and Dr. Anthony. Really all the providers have been great. I also really appreciated the ultrasound technician and that she was gentle when performing by OB ultrasound.
My wife had an appointment that was made over a month before the appointment. We received text reminders. Took the day off. Only to arrive to find out that the doctor is not in. The receptionist was very rude as well. We made another appointment but will more than likely cancel it. We will have the decency to contact them to cancel...
Dr. Wyckoff was patient, thorough and caring. She not only sought to provide excellent medical care, but total woman care. Ive moved a LOT and have had a number of OBGYNs and she ranks right up there at the top.I highly recommend her to anyone seeking quality, compassionate care.
Even 1 Star is too much for this office. It’s the worst doctor office I experienced. Let me put some details so that I can help other not to suffer the way I did. I went to visit Dr. Neomi for my wife’s checkup as she was diabetic. They filled a claim to my insurance without basic details about the service taken. The claim was obviously rejected and this office shooted out a bill of $380 to me. I have to again tell them to properly file the claim with details as suggested by my insurance. Finally I landed up paying $25 as copay only. So this office do not know how to file claim. We wanted a follow up with the doctor but few days before when we logged into the portal we found that our follow up visit was scheduled with a different doctor and not Dr. Neomi. They didn’t even bother to tell us. This is a kind of experience I had. I stopped going to this place and would request anyone to refrain from this place.
I love this practice. Everyone is really nice in the practice. From when you check in to checking out, it’s always a smooth process. I see Dr. Anthony and he is great but all of the doctors are wonderful too. If you are looking for a practice that can service every aspect of women’s health, this is the place to be.
All the doctors are great, they always want the best for you, and you can feel their interest to help you in everything. I have had the prenatal care of both of my children in Cary OBGYN, and the experience couldnt be better. Place and doctors highly RECOMMENDED
Dr. Fraley spent a good bit of time with me as a new patient. She gave me lots of options for any issues I presented. It did take a month to get an appointment as a new patient, so schedule early.
Its very, very rare that I would give any business or person a five star rating because there is pretty much always room for improvement. While everything about my visit wasnt perfect, this is the most well run doctors office I have ever been to. The patient portal is tops and Dr. Bon Pain was just phenomenal. Anything less than 5 stars would be cheating what has been created there.
Dr.Rodrigo is nothing short than AMAZING! He did my csection and I was beyond terrified from my past experience. He promised me it would be a different experience and he was absolutely right! Csections don’t ever feel good but he made me as comfortable as possible. Thank you so much for this experience and making sure my daughter and I were healthy. U made one of the best days in my life a good memory.
I have been coming to this practice to see Dr Bon Pain for years and my daughter drives from Charlotte just to see her. We both feel so comfortable with her she takes so much time and listens openly and nonjudgmentally. We would never go anywhere else!
Ive had several gynecologists in this area over the years, and Dr. Anthony is by far the most professional and most understanding that Ive been to. Its also nice that for womens care, I can get mammograms and other procedures at the same location and on the same day. They often, when possible, schedule procedure appointments back to back so that I dont have to take extra days off of work.
Dr. Bonpain is wonderful! She is gentle, kind, compassionate, and very open to real conversations with both teenage daughters and moms. This was my daughters first GYN appointment, and she felt very comfortable and at ease. Dr. Bonpain explained everything thoroughly each step of the way. The office staff was also very warm and welcoming. So glad we chose Cary OB/GYN!
I am so disappointed in this office. I have been going there since September and when I called to schedule my next appointment they said they could no longer see me (in my 3rd trimester) because of my balance on my bill. I already pay $750/ month on insurance that they have been happily using. Now in my last trimester they are refusing to see me. I wouldnt recommend any person who can not afford their $300 co payments PER VISIT to go here. The staff seemed to be nice at times. Kind of nasty on the phone. Very disgusted on how Mr. Thomas the office manager handles his business.
Ive been seeing Dr Wyckoff at Cary OB/GYN since 2016. I am super pleased with the care I receive there. Dr Wyckoff is compassionate and very knowledgable. She is very efficient and has no problems with me asking questions and she takes the time to anwser them thoroughly for me.The staff is always super friendly and efficient as well. I give them all 5 stars and would recommend them to anyone!
I came here a few times after leaving another practice due to essentially the same issue I experienced here. After explaining the concerning symptoms I was experiencing, I was told that they werent out of the oridinary and I was simply given a new birth control. When that didnt work, I received -you guessed it- more birth control. The doctor also intially sent me in for an ultrasound, which showed possible signs of disease. This disease or the implications of it were never explained to me. I was just given more birth control and had to research it myself. I again explained at my final appointment that my syptoms were worsening over the years and were keeping me from living a normal life. I was once again brushed off and told my sypmtoms were normal. After my last appointment at Cary OB/GYN I decided enough was enough and had to refer myself to both a pelvic physical therapist and a specialist. I am now one month post op and Im feeling MUCH better. Birth control is not a solution, its a band-aid. The disease I had is quite common and it is well known that it requires surgery. If you need more than just a routine check-up I highly reccomend NOT coming here.
Dr. Maydew and the entire staff at Cary OB/GYN are just fantastic! Everyone is friendly and Dr. Maydew takes time to talk and listen to her patients. I’ve been a happy patient for 9 years!
I have been a patient of Cary OB-GYN since 1992. This practice has always been great to deal with. They are always responsive and pleasant and really do I wait for an appointment. Thats hard to find in the healthcare field these days. Sharon Stevenson my original provider recently retired. I was sad to hear that she was leaving but my new provider Dr Naydew Cary is just as great. You would never be disappointed with this practice. My sisters also both go to this practice and are just as satisfied.
They have good attitude but I dont think the doctors have enough knowledge and care about patients. I have seen more than one doctor there and have done a lot of exams, no one ever told me I have fibroid. They keep giving me wrong treatment even I keep having excessive bleeding, going to emergency room, get blood transfusion. They think these kind of bleeding are normal and will go away. I finally recovered after a laparoscopy. If your symptom is unusual and serious I suggest always get a second opinion somewhere else. See a specialist at Duke or UNC.
Dr. Naomi Mayhew is the best. She listens, cares, and takes time for her patients. Been a patient of hers for over 20 years. Highly recommend.
I personally can not attest to the OB side of the practice as I am not a mother/pregnant yet, however I will say for GYN services Dr. Rodrigo (again can’t speak on the other doctors) is amazing. I did not want to have a male doctor after a past bad experience but, after having a female doctor that was surprisingly worse, I met dr. Rodrigo through his nurse whom I was friends with. The first time I met Dr.Rodrigo I was already going through some issues, my last doctor left me completely in the dark about what was happening and what to expect; Dr. Rodrigo took the time to really explain what was going on with my body and what his recommendation would be moving forward. I have always felt safe, informed and most importantly, respected being seen by dr.rodrigo! I also have a friend who delivered with Dr.rodrigo and had nothing but positive things to say!!As for the rest of the experience, typically I am called back within 10 minutes of my appointment time, the nurse takes all your vitals and then most of your appointment is spent waiting on the doctor; however usually I’m still out of the office in right around an hour. While it can be frustrating, I have never been to a doctor where I have waited any less, typically it’s much longer, so I just pre plan my day with that in mind.
Great doctors! I switched after going to another doctor for a few years that did not impress me and his bedside manner was terrible. Dr. Bond is WONDERFUL! She actually takes time to LISTEN to you and give you thoughtful answers. I am so glad that I made the switch to Dr. Bond!
Dr. Anthony has the most wonderful personality. He didnt just see me as a patient, he saw me as a whole person. He took the time to ask about family and life in general. Hes a super person!
Dr. Wycoff; and the entire staff were amazing. I felt so comfortable; Dr. Wycoff really listened to me; was patient; provided expert and real explanations; so that I could completely understand; I felt heard; and she ordered additional testing within the women’s wellness tree; to address my some of my other health concerns. Highly recommend.
I had been coming to Cary OBGYN for several years, and while my experience during my appointments has been professional and good, any phone interactions with staff has been horrible in regards to getting prescription renewals approved. Now that I have moved from the area, I have been attempting to transfer my prescriptions for weeks due to the fact that no one has had the time to approve my prescription transfer and can no longer get any birth control pills until they sign off.
I was referred to Dr. Bonpain by my general practitioner for my gyno appointment for an IUD. The first visit I had was a little annoying as the lobby was FULL (and I mean standing room only full) with people as it was a Monday morning. I waited over an hour to see Dr. Bonpain when many others were taken back before me. I understand that this is also a OB office, but that put me off a little. When I met Dr. Bonpain, she was super sweet and listened to all of my issues/concerns without rushing me (hard to find a doctor that wont rush you nowadays). I scheduled another appointment a month out to have my procedure. My second visit today was a lot better. There was only about 30 minutes of waiting (I was 15 minutes early) and Dr. Bonpain could NOT have been more understanding. I was beyond nervous about the procedure and she could not have been more comforting (as well as her nurse).Overall, I am super thankful that I was referred here and would recommend anyone come see Dr. Bonpain. Super nice and professional but also makes you feel at ease.
Check in was smooth with very friendly staff. They go above and beyond to fulfill my requests. Dr. Wyckoff is knowledgeable and professional. Great experience. She has been my doctor for 10 years.
The right doctor is very important to me. I searched on the internet and found high reviewsabout Dr. Wyckoff. And I am truly satisfied. She is very personable and a good listener. I neverhave had to wait long. She fits my needs.
Can’t even schedule an appointment on time even though I emailed them notifying them close to a week in advance that a referral would be sent over, here I am over another week later and still haven’t been scheduled. Receptionist was rude to me. Horrible service.Edit: would like to add that they only promptly called me back once I left a voicemail letting them know I’d be leaving a negative review due to their poor service :) Absolutely no idea how they are rated 4.8 stars on Google but Yelp they have an average rating of 2 stars... hmmm..... why the discrepancy? Also just want to everyone to know that I immediately called Kamm McKenzie OBGYN to schedule and they were able to schedule me the same day! What a vastly different experience. Again, don’t even bother with this place! So unprofessional.
I was so disappointed by the office service and care. First, when I just had 4 months pregnant, the office asked me to give you $2000 more deposit. Then I didnt get good care from the office when I diagnosed diabetes, I didnt get any treatment. The clinic has no idea which insurance they are in network or out of network, and they didnt answer the phone. And ultrasound is unprofessional, the nurse cannot see anything, then they ask you to go somewhere else to do self-pay ultrasound, I self-paid $700 more for that because of the stupid nurse. And when I leave the clinic, I wait 2 months to get my deposit back. Bad choice for this clinic and I think they have a serious racist issue.
Wonderful practice. Anne Bond Bonpain and Heather Flowers are absolutely amazing. I have been coming here for years and have always had a pleasant experience with their hardworking team. I’m lucky to have found them.
Dr. Anthony provides great service. He takes the time to address any concerns you may have by going above and beyond to explain the pros and cons of treatment. Very personable with a great sense of humor, highly recommend.
I had been seeing female OB/GYNs for the last decade, and felt that seeing a female doctor was my preference. When trying to find an OB/GYN closer to my work, I saw all of the amazing reviews for Cary OB/GYN and Dr. Rodrigo. I was unsure of how comfortable I would be with being seen by a male doctor again, but Dr. Rodrigo was kind, professional, and took the time to speak to me both before and after the exam and listen to any concerns. Will definitely continue to go to this office and Dr. Rodrigo!
I have been a patient for 32 years. Cary OBGYN has grown and and evolved over this period of time. One thing that has always remained constant, the excellent professional and caring personal care I have received over the years. Would strongly recommend this practice to anyone in the area.
I was originally scheduled for one appointment but due to an unforseen circumstance in was necessary to change it into something else. The staff and Dr. Rodrigo, were amazing. His bedside manner made a rough situation manageable. I would definitely recommend this practice to anyone needing their services.Kim McKoy
I love the office staff, everyone there is friendly, helpful and pleasant. I love Dr. Wycoff...shes the best gynecologist Ive ever been to. Shes always pleasant and knowledgeable. Im always happy to see her.
I havent seen any of the doctors yet (just nurses and admins), but so far every single person Ive spoken with is very nice. I ask a million questions and not once did I feel like I was bothering anyone. A very helpful group of people!
I have been going to Cary Ob/gyn for several years. The staff is helpful, friendly and Ive never had long wait times. I see Dr. Bonpain usually, not only does she listen but she cares about you too. I highly recommend this practice!
After seeing so many reviews of extremes one way or the other I thought Id share my experience. I have been going here since 2008 I have had two healthy babies with the help of Drs. Bonpain, Anthony, and Wyckoff. In both instances I had to be induced but received no other forms of medical intervention; they did a good job catching my babies and following my birth plan. The doctors (Ive seen Stephenson and Maydew at appointments too) have always taken the time to answer my questions but of course dont remember me personally. Ive had visits that I got in on time but more often than not I wait an extra 30 minutes plus; this has made me consider going elsewhere. Most of the staff are friendly enough but one of the nurses jobs seems to be to try and convince you you dont need an appointment until you cry. I wish there was 3.5 stars I dont think Ill switch in spite of the hassles.
Dr. Bonpain is an amazing OB/GYN!! I have been seeing her for two years now, and every time I visit her she is so bright, warm, and welcoming! She always asks how I am and check for any concerns I may first have as well. I specifically see her because of PCOS, and that’s one of my main reasons why I chose to see her. She’s is fully educated and aware of PCOS, and has always been helpful answering my questions about it and giving me some useful tips! I have always felt welcome with her staff as well, and I couldn’t imagine going to see anyone else other than Dr. Bonpain!! She is a blessing in disguise!
Dr. Michael Anthony is very professional, but down to earth and easy to talk too about sensitive subjects. He is never judgemental. Glad I found him. I was use to having an obgyn that was old school but up to date. Dr. Michael Anthony has met my expectations. Especially being in a new city and not knowing who to see. Thanks for your service.
