There are not enough words to explain my gratitude towards Thrive Carolinas and Dr. Palmero. She actually delivered my girls and when I started having issues with my thyroid and didnt feel I was getting the right treatment plan, someone recommended I seek Thrive for functional medicine. Dr. Palmero took the time to talk with me and explain my new treatment plan based on my lab results. I started feel so much better and less tired within a month. My yearly visits consist of her going through my lab results during my appointment and we discuss if my medication needs to be adjusted or if we stay on the same path.I trust Thrive so much that now I have my husband see Dr. Palmero because I trust she will get the root of the cause with any health issues. She takes the time to talk with us and never makes us feel rushed. So very thankful for this practice and the providers here.

I have been super excited to find a functional medicine doctor when I moved to Charlotte however they didn’t meet my expectations in couple of ways. Doctor does not really take notes and updates them in my chart so she had no idea what extra supplements she recommended to me in the next visit. All the information in their chart came through my other functional doctor where they did an incredible job to take notes each session and sending me the copy. My doctor does not even check how things are going. I did not feel like I was well taken care off. And their holistic approach ends when they find an issue and ship you to a main stream specialist. If you are looking for a truly holistic care, I would not recommend this place for you.

Five stars are not enough for Thrive. Dr Palermo is the best. I have been seeing her for about a year now and she has helped me work through my health concerns with practical approaches to healthy living. A few tweaks to medicine- I actually take fewer meds now. I feeling healthier and better than I have in years. She listens to you and understands what is going on in your life and environment before making her recommendations. My first appointment was 90 minutes of talking about what is going on with me and my health. Such a refreshing change from getting 5 min w a doctor that then prescribes you a pill.Val is the best esthetician. Not only does my skin look amazing but the appointments are a true spa like experience. She knows skin and delivers every time.Cat is the best massage therapist. She has helped me so much over the past year and the appointments are important for my for mind / body health.Thrive in general is amazing. The fitness and education classes are wonderful. Can’t wait to take a cooking class.Being a member of Thrive has changed my health and fitness and I am stronger, fitter and healthier than I was 10 years ago.

Had another wonderful annual check up experience with Dr. Palermo. Taking charge of your healthcare means being able to ask questions and understanding your labs. Dr. Palermo listened to my questions with patience and empathy, ordered labs where I wanted more information, and helped me decipher the results until I understood and felt confident with the findings. The staff is so supportive and it is an overall excellent reassuring experience!

Thrive provides excellent care! The staff are professional, knowledgeable and personable! I would recommend Thrive to anyone because you receive complete care without rushing you through the process. Everything from an annual to a facial is excellent!. Dr. Palermo is an amazing physician who I would highly recommend! She has been my physician for more than 20 years and Im always pleased with her advice and care! Val is an excellent esthetician, who is knowledgeable and completely aware of what is necessary for the best skin care. Im extremely pleased with the care that I receive it Thrive! The staff are my blessing!!

First of all, their street name has been changed from Morrison Blvd to Carnegie. I kept putting in their address at Carnegie and my GPS kept taking me to the wrong place. I kept calling the front desk in a panic because 1. I hate being late for an appointment and 2. I was totally lost. The young woman on the phone was wonderful. When I finally at least got in the parking lot, she actually came out of the office to come get me. I thought that was awesome. Then I met Dr Palermo. I have heard so much about her from both of my daughters and some ladies in the neighborhood who raved about her. Now I know why. She is very attentive, laughs and reassured me wed get to the bottom of my ills.Thank you all for your patience and assistance.

While I was impressed with my physicians bedside manner, I would not recommend this practice if you have/or think you could have endometriosis. My PA at Thrive performed some lab tests and told me that I was unlikely to have endometriosis because I tested within the normal range of the CA125 test and she diagnosed me with Crohns, despite me having no Crohns symptoms. I knew that Crohns was very unlikely so I dropped Thrive and went to a endo specialist who listened to my symptoms for about 20 mins and knew I had endo. This diagnoses was confirmed through surgery. My specialist also let me know that the CA125 test should not be used to rule out endo. Its very frustrating that many obgyn practices (like Thrive) arent up to date on treatment for endo. I suspect Thrive is great for other issues but for me it was a waste of time and money as I was trying to fight through debilitating symptoms.

Dr. Palermo has been my physician for almost 13 years. She delivered 3 of my 4 girls. I was incredibly happy when I found out that she joined Thrive Carolinas. She is and has always been very attentive, really cares about your health and is extremely knowledgeable. She sincerely cares about her patients and their well-being. I have already referred some people to her and will continue to do so. I highly recommend Dr. Palermo and Thrive Carolinas.

I had a fantastic massage with their massage therapist, Catherine. I had spoken to her several weeks ago about my knee pain, and she remembered everything I told her and circled back to ask very pertinent questions. She is always very personable and professional. I highly recommend Thrive and all their services!

Not a member of Thrive but I have see Val for facial. She is exceptional- a true gift for her craft. Cares deeply about her patient and the treatment of you as a customer.

Thrive is a wonderful model for womens health care from the moment you contact the office through the checkout process. My visit with Dr. Fletcher was thorough and efficient. I felt she truly listened and understood my concerns. I would highly recommend this practice to women of all ages.

My initial visit was this morning and the entire experience from walking in the door to walking out was a five star experience. The staff was friendly and thorough. Dr. Palermo took her time and was extremely thorough going over my medical record and discussing options. She recommended testing that isn’t available in a traditional doctor’s office. I am very pleased and excited to work with Dr. Palermo.

I can not say enough great things about Thrive and the staff there and my lovely Dr P.Dr Palermo is like no other physician I have ever worked with or seen for my own personal medical care. Her compassion and desire to help her patients is unmatched. She thinks outside of the box and seems to always stay current on her knowledge about various treatments, even if it means looking to the Cleveland Clinic or other entities for various protocols. She also researches a ton on her own and that was evident when corona virus hit. I love that Dr P always tries to treat with medical grade supplements when possible. I trust her with mine and my families medical care 3000%Thrive as a unit is just fantastic as they are not just a resource for medical care but also offer yoga classes, cooking classes, meditation, accupuncture, and spa treatments and have one of the best therapist I have ever met... Thrive Carolinas is an exceptional medical facility that provides top-notch care to their patients. Ive been looking for a womens care provider for a couple years, and so pleased to have found this office. Dr. Palermo was patient, thorough, and excellent in her care and follow up. My first impression with my first two visits, left me with confidence and peace of mind that I am in great hands for medical care at this facility. I highly recommend this clinic to women in the Charlotte region!

I had amazing experience at Thrive! I saw Dr. Fletcher and she was so understanding, straightforward and kind. After seeing several doctors who told me I just have to manage my symptoms, it was great to hear that there are steps I can take to actually get to the bottom of my health issues. Definitely would recommend to anyone who feels discouraged.

I have been a Thrive patient for nearly 3 years and continue to sing its praises everywhere I go. Ive done the workout classes, aesthetician services, cooking classes, bought retail products/supplements, and most importantly - used it as my Primary Care Provider. I loved the experience so much that my husband also switched to Thrive for his PCP. It is the most comprehensive care I have ever received & I have seen a lot of doctors. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

Dr. Palermo at Thrive Carolinas is the first doctor I have seen in my 25 years that actually makes an effort to connect with you personally and understand your needs/issues. Going to Thrive is always a treat, rather than a dreadful doctors appointment.

I love Thrive. Its sad that the concept of treating symptoms in lieu of treating/discovering the CAUSE of symptoms has become the norm in todays traditional medical world. And then I discovered that my former ob/gyn was giving me the cookie cutter bio-identical hormone recipe - the same one he gave every other patient. So happy to be with Dr. Palermo. Double board certified. Shes wonderful!

I went for an appointment and was charged for an extended appointment when it wasn’t necessary. Not only was it a waste of my time I had to pay and extra $350 unnecessary. Then I went to their Labcorp facility. The women who is in charge of the blood work takes over you and is rude. Anytime I asked a question she wouldn’t answer if and would go off on a long winded topic unrelated to my question. Anytime I tried to interject because she was clearly not understanding… she would talk over me. It is a waste of money and I don’t feel any better

I came into Thrive with a mix of very strange symptoms that doctors had not been able to figure out. Dr. Fletcher helped by running a variety of different tests and took a very comprehensive approach to figuring out what might be off. Without going into too much detail, we found some unusual results that other doctors had not noticed, Dr. Fletcher made some recommendations to follow, and over time I have felt much better. I definitely recommend this office, thanks for the help!

I absolutely love Thrive! Dr. Larson is so detail oriented and cares about my well-being from head to toe. I love how I can email her through the Thrive website With any concerns or questions I have and she gets right back to me within the day. With the regular medical system, you get lost in the crowd and you feel like you’re just a number. At Thrive, they are caring and thorough. I also love how they look at your body as a whole and consider more than just giving you a pill to cover up your symptoms. Thank you Dr. Larson and Thrive for being so amazing!

I was referred to Dr. Fletcher by several douka clients who had sought holistic and western med fertility support balance and had become pregnant. The rule of 3s applied. After the third referral I made an appointment. She gathered blood work my PCP of 20 years never thought to order. She asked “why is xyz low?” Instead of just treating low xyz. She spent hours with me listening and I felt heard. I felt seen. I felt for the first time like there is hope for healing my gut and improving my life and health.

I have only had my second appointment, technically just a follow-up to review bloodwork from my first visit with Dr. Palermo for a functional medicine consult. This woman spent an hour and a half (at the FOLLOW-UP) _thoroughly_ dissecting additional details about me that could contribute to my symptoms and thoroughly explaining, and ensuring that I understood, my bloodwork and the plan she is developing for me. I am so incredibly pleased with the high level of empathy, consideration and dogged intelligence that this doctor possesses. I, for the first time in almost two decades, feel a great deal of hope for the improvement of my physical, as well as my mental health. Thank you so much!

The Thrive team are professional, friendly and take the time to get to know you. They know that medicine is not a one size fits all prescription and listen to your concerns and respond with guidance that is unique to the individual client.

Very disappointed with Thrive. I went as a new patient and was comfortable paying the out of pocket expenses. I brought my labs from 3 months prior and they acknowledged no need to rerun the labs. I was told a fixed amount for the IGG test and gladly paid right there for the authorized test. I then a few weeks later get another bill from labcorp where Thrive authorized additional lab tests to be run that I had already provided and was not not necessary. This resulted in an additional labcorp fee that was not told to me up front. If you are going to run a practice where everything is out of pocket, then all fees should be up front and no additional fees should be sent in the mail, especially ones unauthorized. What is worse I contacted them and for three weeks they said they were getting in touch with Labcorp. I called Labcorp directly today afraid of delinquency in billing and they advised they had never been contacted. If you have unlimited resources, this is the practice for you, if not patient be warned.11/21/18Update: There is still no resolution, sadly not expecting one. They called after I posted this review and promised it would be taken care. Very nice follow through I suppose due to the negative review that I hated to post. After the quick follow through call there has been zero communication and zero resolution.
