I had the greatest experience with Dr. Silber and the staff ant his office. The staff were wonderful and able to answer questions and assist with anything we needed. After a seamless experience with IVF we welcome our triplets into the world! Could not express my gratitude enough.
Dr. Silber performed a vasectomy reversal on me in December 2014. My vasectomy was performed about 11 years prior so I was skeptical, he was not. We were fortunate to have a little girl in September 2016 after my wife experienced a miscarriage the summer of 2015, just a few short months after the reversal. We also had a son in July 2019. Dr. Silber and his staff was incredible to work with as well as everyone at St. Lukes Hospital. His work has enabled our family to be complete, adding our two little ones to four much older siblings that absolutely adore their young siblings.
We love Dr. Silber - the process can be so daunting, so scary, so personal - and with Dr. Silber and his team, we never lost hope. We were reassured by experts every step of the way. We had twins in December of 2023 - and it would not have been possible without Dr. Silber : )
We had a great experience working with Dr. DeRosa and Dr. Silber back in 2020 and again in 2022. We found them to both be sensitive, caring, attentive to our questions and our needs. We were grateful for a positive experience after waiting so long in hopes of having at least one child. We have been blessed with two precious girls. I would highly recommend working with this practice.
After 3 years of unexplained infertility with recurrent pregnancy loss, Dr. Silber and his office brought us our amazing twin boys! Working with Dr. Silber was a breeze, as his office staff is very organized and communicative. Lots of communication is done via email, which is very convenient for full-time working couples. From our first meeting to our last appointment, my husband and I were impressed and relieved through our IVF journey.
My husband and I were both 29 y/o when we got married in the Philippines in 2006. We were planning to go to the US and put off pregnancy. We came to the US in 2010 and got settled. We were in our mid 30s when we thought we were finally ready to get pregnant. We were not successful. At 37, we sought help from a local fertility specialist. I was told because of my age, I was not producing enough eggs and my eggs were not good to get pregnant. I was getting back-to- back IUIs. We were not getting pregnant and so we decided to take a break and tried to conceive naturally by doing all the advice one can get from the internet. We tried it all but nothing was working. We went back to my local Dr. and this time we were going to try IVF after 5 failed IUIs. They were able to retrieve 2 eggs but did not mature to become embryos. My Drs. said I can try a 2nd IVF but were strongly suggesting an egg donor since my chances of getting pregnant at 40 were very slim. I was contemplating on getting an egg donor, even thought of my sister to be the donor (my sister agreed to,by the way). I gathered myself and did my research until I found Dr. Silber. I was hesitant at first because of the distance and probable costs. I called to make an appointment at St. Louis Hospital. I met with Dr. Silber and Mindy in May 2017. I will never forget the things he discussed with us. He said that I have been through a lot. He said I was over medicated and was hurting my eggs. He did not promise anything but he said he can help with his mini IVF. Never did he say anything about getting an egg donor because of my age. My husband and I decided that day that we will instead do our 2nd IVF with Dr. Silber. Went home the following day and canceled my 2nd IVF with my local Dr.I came back to St. Louis and did my 1st egg retrieval. Dr. Silber was able to retrieve 4 eggs, 3 became embryos. On my 2nd retrieval, 4 eggs, 2 embryos. My husband and I cannot believe it. I did my transfer in December 2017 with Dr. DeRosa. Dr. DeRosa said to give ourselves a Christmas gift and do a pregnancy test on Christmas eve. My husband and I got the best gift ever. Our son was born in August 2018.I would like to thank Dr. Silber and Dr. DeRosa for their amazing care. They are both so caring. They made us feel relaxed throughout the whole process. They are both cool Drs. They are very sincere, warm and so good at what they do. Thank you Mindy. You were very patient, very organized and thorough. Thank you to ALL the staff of Dr. Silber and Dr. DeRosa. We are always praying for you and your work. Thank you St. Lukes Hospital for giving us a baby boy. We will come back in the future to give our son a sibling.Ive been recommending Dr. Silber and his team to people I know who are struggling to get pregnant. I tell them not to waste time and money on IUIs, etc. but instead make an appointment with Dr. Silber and see what he can do.To God be glory and praise!Cruz Family.
My wife and I have gone through the IVF process with Dr. Silber two times with great success! It took us two rounds the first time (which is to be expected, even with the exceptions rates that Dr.Silber achieves). The second time around we were successful on the first round. We expect our second girl this Dec!I would explain the experience this way...Dr. Silber is a pioneer in the industry (just read about him), has the best success rates (his success rates have continued to improve since since our first girl 4 years ago). You will meet with him and get your questions answered. He is down to earth, logical and objective oriented. He also tailored the approach the second time based on the data of our history with him.The team helped us along they way, and while it can be a little overwhelming at times, they knew what was needed to support us and clarify any questions and concerns.Thank you Dr.Silber and Team!
After multiple failed IUI (6) and IVF (2) attempts in our local town, we researched and found Dr. Silber. I dont know what it was, but we knew he could help us! We were so hopeful after our first meeting. His team, to include Stacie, helped explain everything throughout the process and, for us, we liked seeing other couples going through the same process we were. We gained strength through their strength. It was hard traveling back and forth, but completely worth it! I got pregnant in the first cycle with Dr. Silber and have a healthy little girl! When our little girl turned 9 months, we went back for another transfer; this time with my partner. She got pregnant on the first time as well! Unfortunately, she had a miscarriage. We are getting ready to try again and have complete confidence we are in the best care and hands with Dr. Silber and his team! To go from a point of being completely discouraged, thinking I was not going to be able to get pregnant, to delivering....I dont think I will ever be able to put into words the emotion I feel. Even thinking about it as I write this, I am getting emotional. It is so hard to describe how grateful we are. We thank Dr. Silber and his team for changing our life with this beautiful blessing!
With Dr. Silbers help, we have had three successful pregnancies and are now blessed with four beautiful children; Emmanuel (7), twins Elise & Bethany (4), and our newest daughter Gemma Ruth born May 1st. The office walked us through every step of this difficult journey of infertility. He gave us hope and helped us to manifest our dreams of a family. We will be forever grateful!
I found Dr Silber after going to an ivf doctor in Overland Park KS, where I live. I was 41 when I met Dr Silber and working with him was one of the best decisions of my life. My experience with the doctor in Overland Park was a nightmare, my transfer ended in a miscarriage. I didn’t want to deal with that clinic anymore, so a friend referred me to Dr Silber. If you are trying to decide what ivf doctor to go to, you will be very pleased with Dr Silber. I was treated so well by Dr Silber , his nurse Kelsey and Dr De Rosa. I got pregnant after my first transfer with my beautiful daughter who is now 6 weeks old.Dr Silber does a mini IVF technique which was a fraction of the cost of other clinics and I took about 1/4 of the amount of meds my first doc prescribed me.I thank God I found Dr Silber every day!
Dr Silber was a Miracle worker and a Gift from God. My husband and I have been married for almost 18 yrs and we have been trying to conceive since we got married, we try other feritility clinics in the past and it was just disappointment after disappointment. We were giving treatment that instead of helping it make it even harder. We came across Dr Silber in the internet and we were not looking for any other treatment as we had lost hope. Then we cross again with a magazine article about how miracle worker Dr Silber is and we decided to try it. Dr Silber and his staff was very upfront, honest and very communicate through the process. Today I can said, THANK YOU as we have our little miracle with us, Faith Isabel, she was born on Oct 13, 2022 and they kept in touch and follow up with me during and after my pregnancy. If you are like me, dont loose hope, just trust every word and every step Dr Silber and Dr DeRosa tell you and I am sure you will have your bundle of miracle in no time same as me.
I think Dr. Silber is great. However his nurse that was assigned to us was rude annd unprofessional. After paying several thousand dollars, my wife refused to go back after the treatment from the nurse assigned to us, D...y.She was rude and very short except when Dr. Silber was present. My wife insists on using someone else now due to this treatment, and it isn’t due to non-success, we didn’t even get to that point.
My husband and I chose Dr. Silber and his wonderful staff to assist us in getting pregnant. My husband had had a vasectomy 10+ years ago and was never interested in having children until he and I got together. Dr. Silber performed a MESA on my husband instead of doing a vasectomy reversal and I underwent an egg retrieval as he felt IVF would be the most promising method of getting pregnant. From the very first introductory meeting, we felt at home and safe with Dr. Silber and our amazing IVF coordinator, Dena. We never felt rushed, asked as many questions as possible, continued to have our questions answered via email before making a decision. We ended up going through two rounds of IVF with Dr. Silber. My first round was unfortunately not as successful in terms of results as my second, but Dr. Silber quickly changed the protocol for the second round to ensure success. Sadly, my first round we only had one viable frozen embryo, which did result in pregnancy, however, ended up being a blighted ovum. My second round was far more successful, had several eggs retrieved, and underwent a fresh 3-day transfer, and have two frozen embryos for future use. I got pregnant both transfers. I am currently six months pregnant with a baby boy and we could not be more thrilled to welcome him in June. The staff are all friendly and accommodating. While Dr. Silber is amazing and obviously very qualified, the reason we went back for a second round after our disappointing first was because of our coordinator. She was simply amazing and made every step of this process easy. From medication orders, to refills, answering silly questions via email or phone, addressing any concerns, she got a 10/10. Dr. Silber is very friendly and his assisting OBGYN, Dr. DeRosa is equally as great. I only wish we were in state so Dr. DeRosa could deliver the baby as well! The two of them made me feel calm during both retrievals and transfers. We could not recommend them enough! You will not be disappointed with their level of care and service. We look forward to bringing our baby once he arrives to meet the doctor who made this happen!Jessica
I cant say enough good things about this office and team. From Kelsey on coordinating, Dr. Silber and Dr. De Rosa to Julie on the financial and billing side. We started this journey around six years ago at 43 years old - tried naturally, prayed, tried a typical fertility group in the DC area with multiple rounds of IUI, were pushed hard for egg donor, prayed some more and with every visit and procedure was confronted with more pessimism than positivity. Then after going down the google rabbit hole late one night I came across Dr. Silbers practice who specializes in fertility for old ladies :). From the start, Dr. Silbers approach came from a positive place. Basically told us its not guaranteed but if youre committed were confident we can get this done for you and they did. We welcome a beautiful healthy baby boy in November at the youthful age of 48. We have one more embryo and are looking to try again in a few months. It took a few tries but here we are and we could not be more grateful for this incredible team.
Mom and Dad were always titles my husband and I were very passionate about having but, after 5 years of trying many other fertility salutations our doctor pointed us toward IVF. We were so lucky to be from the St. Louis area but I think we would have traveled from anywhere for the great care and expertise we got from Dr. Silber. He was so kind but also very realistic and honest about the challenges we were facing. It was clear from the beginning that he would decide on a specific treatment based on our individual challenges and not just push us through a standard one size fits all IVF program, which is the experience many of my friends that went to other doctors had described to me.During the monitoring portion of my first egg retrieval cycle Dr. Silber actually decided the medication mix I was on wasnt producing the number and size eggs he was hoping for, so he stopped the process. This meant I could save the remainder of my medication as well the funds for the procedure for a cycle that would be successful instead letting me complete this one knowing I would likely have to have a second. This, of course, was disappointing at the time but more importantly just proved to me again that the success of my treatment was Dr. Silbers number one priority. After a reset period we started again with an adjusted approach. This produced 7 beautiful eggs, two of which would become my beautiful daughters.I will be forever grateful to Dr. Silber and his whole team for giving us the chance to be parents. Their care, understanding, and great communication made the whole experience easier and so much less stressful. Anytime I encounter someone struggling with fertility I feel confident and happy to be able to suggest Dr. Silber and to tell them about my wonderful experience.
We started working with Dr Silber in 2018 and went through only 1 egg retrieval process; which resulted in 2 embryos. We were happy since my husband and I were well in our 40s at this point. However, both transfers ended in a negative pregnancy result. We took some time off of the IVF train and took Dr Silbers advice and used an egg donor for our next attempt. And we had success! At 45 years old, I was pregnant and we welcomed our little boy into the world on March 5, 2021. I developed severe preeclampsia (not due to anything related to Dr.Silber or the infertility center of St Louis) and he needed to be delivered 8 weeks early. Despite being only 3 lbs 20z when he was born, our little man is thriving. He is almost 3 months old and is doing amazingly.Dr Silber and his team are like a well oiled machine; they have their way of doing things, they are organized, always available for questions, they get back to you promptly and they understand how difficult this process can be, so they have made things very streamlined and easy to follow-which helped reduce the stress in a stressful adventure. We cannot thank Dr Silber and his team enough for helping us start a family. We recommend them and their team to any couple struggling with infertility.
After struggling with infertility for a couple years, my husband and I decided we needed to consider IVF. I was referred to Dr. Silber by a friend. After meeting with him for the first time, I could tell how knowledgeable he was about the process and that I would be in good hands. Everyone in the office was so friendly and helpful throughout the entire process. I liked that all my questions were always answered in a very timely manner. We were fortunate enough that we got pregnant our first round and welcomed twin boys in August 2019! Best decision we ever made and we are so thankful to Dr. Silber, Dr. DeRosa and everyone in the office for their help!
My wife and I had struggled with infertility for years. We persevered through three unsuccessful attempts with IVF. We thought we had exhausted all of our options; that was until we met Dr. Silber. Upon meeting Dr. Silber our hopes were restored. We greatly appreciated his honesty and professionalism during our consultation. Dr. Silber was informative, confident, and encouraging. Dr. Silber and his staff were extremely professional and easy to work with. They expressed care and concern as they walked us through the IVF journey. Moreover, they were very engaged with us throughout the entire process and were attentive to the schedule and sensitive to our needs. With the help of Dr. Silber my wife became pregnant in February of 2018. My wife had a great pregnancy and gave birth to a healthy baby boy! Words can’t describe our joy and the fulfillment this child has brought to our lives. We are ever thankful to Dr. Silber and his achievements which give hope to families struggling with infertility. We are hoping to again grow our family through the assistance of Dr. Silber and a second round of IVF. I would enthusiastically recommend Dr. Silber and his staff to anyone who has a desire to overcome infertility.
I couldnt be more grateful for Dr. Silber and his wonderful staff for blessing our family with our beautiful daughter, who is now 16 months. We were successful with our first round of IVF. Dr. Silber and his staff made sure that we were comfortable through the entire process, and answered all of our questions/concerns in a timely manner. I feel absolutely blessed to have found them, and would recommend them over and over!
After 5 years of struggling with infertility we were lucky enough to find Dr. Silber. I have PCOS and spent years with doctors who didn’t seem to understand how to help us. Within the first 5 mins of my consultation with Dr. Silber I already knew he had a much better understanding of how to help us. Our experience with the whole office & hospital was great. The IVF process is a very emotional process. I didn’t respond as planned but Dr. Silber would make changes daily if necessary to my medication protocol to give us the best chance possible. We ended up with I my 2 embryos but that’s all we needed! We now have an amazing little girl who has forever changed our lives thanks to Silber and his team.
We started seeing Dr. Silber in May 2019. We started later in life to see our dreams realized of having a child together. Dr. Silber and his staff were the only ones who agreed to see us based on our age. After a couple of unsuccessful attempts, we are now excited to say that we are 28 weeks pregnant. We have enjoyed an uncomplicated pregnancy. Our baby girl has progressed wonderfully. We are overjoyed and excited about the pending arrival of our baby girl in August. The staff was courteous and encouraging, and they to, share in our joy. We would recommend Dr. Sherman Silber and the Infertility Clinic to any one that is willing to commit to the regiment and schedule that Dr. Silber sets for you. It may become frustrating at times, and you may become impatient with the process, but we urge you to stay the course. The end result of finally holding your child that you waited so long for will be more than worth the time and effort that you will put in.
After suffering from two back to back miscarriages, we were feeling lost and defeated. We decided to meet with Dr. Silber and see what options we had. To say this was the best decision we made is an understatement! We went with doing mini-IVF and Dr. Silber, Dr. Derosa, and all of the staff were so helpful and encouraging through out the entire process. I was feeling nervous not knowing what to expect but having such great doctors and staff made everything go smoothly and lessened my nerves tremendously. My first embryo transfer resulted in a pregnancy and my sweet baby boy was born on Valentine’s Day 2020! We are forever thankful for these amazing doctors and can’t wait to use them again to transfer our frozen embryos! I highly recommend The Infertility Center of St. Louis. You will not be disappointed!
Dr. Silber and his team are our heroes and heres our story why:After over a year of trying to conceive naturally and 5 rounds of IUI, a surgery to remove endometriosis revealed that I had many other medical complications that would make getting pregnant naturally very difficult. After much research, we decided to pair up with Dr. Silber. He explained that with the complications I had, our best chances of having a baby would be through in vitro fertilization and he suggested that we do the mini- stim cycle. One thing we noticed right away was that Dr. Silber had an eye for detail, my husband and I were both tested for various conditions, as to not miss a thing and increasing our chances of conceiving. We were both excited and very nervous to start the process. In January 2016, I started the stimulation medications, which with the help of Dr. Silbers coordinator, Rachel, the process seemed smooth and organized. I loved having my own personal coordinator who I could call or email anytime and get an almost immediate response back. We ended up getting over 20 healthy eggs and 11 beautiful day 5 embryos.Skip ahead to May 2016 when we transferred one healthy embryo back to me. It worked!! We were finally pregnant! And on January 12, 2017, all our dreams came true as we welcomed a gorgeous 6 pound 6 ounce baby girl with blue eyes and lots dark brown hair!! We could not be more thankful to have Dr Silber and his team in our lives. We will hope to give our little girl a brother or sister in the near future and we will be using Dr. Silber yet again. I highly recommend to anyone I know experiencing infertility to seek out care at the Infertility Center of St. Louis.
My husband and I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience. Dr. Silber and his team were absolutely amazing from beginning to end. The nurses were so kind and helpful. Dr. Silber tells you how it is but is also caring and compassionate. There are no hidden costs. The process was outlined very clearly, and there were no surprises. The Denmark Mini IVF worked for us, and we welcomed our son into the world in October. We will be contacting Dr. Silber again when we decide to try for another. Thank you Dr. Silber and team from the bottom of our hearts. We will be forever grateful to you for giving us our son. —Krista and John Stringfield
We went to Dr. Silber and his team for our mini IVF. Dr. Silber and his staff are very welcoming and straight forward about our procedures and what the next steps were. After the first ER, I was disappointed by the results, but Dr. Silber was very encouraging and told us that he was sure we would get pregnant. We welcomed twin boys in September of 2013. We will definitely be going back to him for our future pregnancy plans. I highly recommend Dr. Silber for all of your fertility needs!
After seeing many other doctors in the area I felt like Dr. Silber took the time to figure out what was going on with us and our situation. After many failed attempts at starting a family, we are now expecting twins! He even said on the day of transfer are you sure you are okay with twins because there is a very high chance with these embryos and he was right :) I recommend him to anyone dealing with infertility. I have heard from others that it took too long to get in and then waiting in his office for an appointment took too long- to me that is because he is very good at what he does and has many people come to him for help. I didnt mind waiting, I just wanted the best and he seems to be it!! We are forever grateful to Dr Silber, my coordinator Kelsey, the whole team and Dr DeRosa.
Our family struggled for years to conceive our first child. We went to our local fertility clinic and had no success. A colleague and friend of ours recommended Dr. Silber to us and we are so grateful they did! Dr. Silber is clearly one of the greatest experts in the field of fertility. He gave us hope when we thought there was none. The level of compassion and professionalism is outstanding at the clinic. I felt so positive the whole time. We are now a happy family with two healthy IVF babies three years apart! I thank Dr. Silber’s expertise and science every day for our children. We have a few embryos left and are hopeful and excited for another transfer in our future. I highly recommend Dr. Silber to anyone looking to begin or continue fertility treatments.
We had a wonderful experience with Dr Silber and his office and staff including our coordinator Kelsey who was so great with communication. After struggling for years due to PCOS, we decided to look into fertility options. Dr. Silber explained my condition to me in a way no other Dr. had and we decided to due Mini IVF (less drugs and less money!). We had our miracle baby girl June 2021 and couldnt be happier. Would highly recommend!
Dr. Silber is the best IVF doctor! My husband and I traveled to Missouri from Michigan to go through IVF. We previously tried IVF 6 times in Michigan with 2 doctors. Once with the doctors advice, inserting 4 embryos(no success) the result from that was a ruptured ectopic. Nothing short of a horrible experience. Then my husband found Dr. Silber and said “this mans amazing and so educational let’s give him a try”. So we did we ended up with one embryo and it stuck. We now have a beautiful baby boy named Zayden. If you are contemplating going to doctor Silber, you will not be disappointed! And if you get Dena as a nurse your nerves will be calm. She is also a pro at what she does. We had a lot of questions to say the least. We will be coming back this summer to try again. We feel so confident, the medication regimen is a breeze and the doctor is the pioneer of IVF. He stays current with medicine. When I went for the transfer I was at peace with it all. Thank you Dr. Silber you have changed our life forever. Not sure how to properly thank you for such a huge blessing. This baby boy is now 6 months old and gets so much love everyday from his proud and lucky parents. Thank you again! 😇
Without Dr. Silber we wouldn’t have our beautiful, 7 month old daughter. We had success after one IVF cycle, after a heartbreaking diagnosis of diminished ovarian reserve. Dr. Silber took his time explaining everything to us and answered all questions. We didn’t feel rushed or pressured in any way when meeting with him. His nurse, Kelsey worked with me for my entire IVF process and she was fabulous. They’re very good about replying promptly to emails and phone calls. To anyone struggling with infertility, I recommend going to him first- I’m so thankful we finally did!
After being diagnosed with cancer and going through chemo my wife and I could not get pregnant despite our best efforts. Dr. Silber and his team are passionate about the care they give and walked us through the process every step of the way. Our nurse coordinator Mindy responded to each and every question that we had (which was a lot) thoroughly and immediately. We never once felt like we were navigating the many steps of IVF alone, which allowed us to relax during a stressful time. We were blessed with a beautiful baby girl after one round and cannot thank everyone enough!
I would like to thank Dr. Silber, his staff, and St Luke’s Hospital for our opportunity on our daughter. I have children of my own but my husband did not. I had my tubes tied and untied twice. But with maternal age and maybe a little on the hubby, we was unsuccessful in getting/staying pregnant. With two miscarriages and myself getting older it was time to look for help. Dr. Silber was confident in what he was doing or he would make it right (as much as he could). It took us two tries before we got our big fat positive and our baby girl is perfect!! Again Thank You and I recommend him to everyone!!
After experiencing three miscarriages (the 3rd through our first IVF experience with a different clinic), I knew I needed to see a doctor who had great knowledge and options for our situation. We did two mini IVF cycles and got pregnant on our first transfer with Dr. Silber. All areas of working with this clinic went smoothly. Dr. Silber (and Dr. DeRosa) made sure to provide us the facts but with compassion and understanding. My IVF coordinator was very helpful throughout the process. I am happy to say I am currently 35.5 weeks pregnant with a baby girl! We are always thankful everyday. Also, we have a few frozen embryos for later to possibly grow our family. :)
We cannot thank Dr. Silber, Dr. DeRosa, Dena and team enough for helping us to conceive. After 3 years of infertility, I gave birth to our son at the age of 41. Dena, my IVF coordinator, was great at communicating and answering any questions throughout the whole process. Dr. Silber was very honest with me before the embryo transfer that there was only a 30% chance of pregnancy. But it worked! Dr. DeRosa was also very compassionate when I cried my eyes out during the egg retrieval (not from pain, just overwhelming emotions!). We are so pleased that we chose this clinic and very highly recommend them!
Dr. Silber is a miracle worker. I made a bad decision in getting a vasectomy in my previous life and after meeting the woman of my dreams knew I wanted to grow my family. After reading various reviews and talking with many other doctors, I thought my odds of achieving a larger family naturally were nearly impossible. Thanks to Dr. Silber though, it wasnt! Dr. Silber was able to successfully perform the reversal, and my wife and I are now proud parents of 3 miracles that wouldnt have happened if it werent for Dr. Silber! Thanks Doc!
My husband and I struggled for 5+ years to get pregnant. We went to 3 different fertility specialists and both had several fertility tests done. The last specialist told us that we would never get pregnant. After hearing that incredibly depressing news, my husband found information about Dr. Silber online. Dr. Silbers team is excellent as is he! Everyone was so kind, caring, professional, and efficient. Needless to say, my husband and I became pregnant with Dr. Silbers help, and we had a beautiful, healthy baby boy! A year and a half later, Dr. DeRosa, who is another fertility specialist on Dr. Silbers team, helped us to conceive twins! We now have 3 perfect, healthy babies!!! I thank God for my children every day, and I am so grateful that my husband was able to find information about Dr. Silber online so that we could try again. My husband and I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Silber if you are struggling with fertility issues. He and his team are the absolute BEST at what they do!
Although it took three implants for a successful pregnancy, Dr. Silber and his staff were great!!! Dr. Silber was always kind and we never felt like we were rushed when with him. Kellie was also AMAZING. After having two miscarriages with the first two implants, Kellie was always there for phone calls and it was obvious that she truly cared for us. She made us feel more like a friend than a patient! Now we are so excited that our son will be here April 2019 and will be forever grateful to Dr. Silber, Kellie, and all the staff at St. Lukes Hospital!!!
Dr. Silber was amazing! He gave us hope when all hope was lost. Several local infertility treatment centers failed us on numerous levels. The Infertility Center was different from day one with individualized attention and a care approach that involved innovation, research and the unique needs of a patient and their family. Dr. Silber has it all....experience, expertise, knowledge and compassion. Our miracle was born on Aug. 6, 2019 and I am forever grateful to Dr. Silber and his entire team.
We decided to go see Dr. Silber for a second opinion after the first RE we went to turned out to be a nightmare, and we are glad we did. From our first meeting, Dr. Silber and his staff were so compassionate, listened to us and made us feel so at ease and gave us back the hope that we could one day become parents.Dr. Silber is very to the point, some people may be put off by this but we loved how it made things very easy to understand. In March of 2009 we were all set up to do an IVF procedure but had to cancel due to both of us losing our jobs. In August of 2012 we tried again, we were able to get to the egg retrieval stage but due to some complications had to stop again. In May of 2013 we finally were able to do the IVF procedure. Two weeks later Dina told us those wonderful words “Congratulations, you’re pregnant”. In February of 2014 our daughter was born and we were able to finally hold our dream in our hands. There will never be anything we could ever do or say that would adequately express our gratitude to them for helping us become a Mom and Dad.UPDATE 4/6/17 - We just finished a second successful IVF cycle with Dr. Silber. As usual, he was fantastic and made sure that we had the best medical care possible. We had tried to do a cycle last fall but it was cancelled due to a polyp. When this happened, they explained to me why they could not proceed and why the cycle would not have worked if we had proceeded. I was sad that it was cancelled, but felt that it was the right thing to do. This time around, a few days before our transfer, we brought our daughter (also a Silber Baby) to meet him and Dena (our coordinator). They were so fantastic with her and they were so personable and friendly. When we left, we saw Dr. Silber in the hall and even shared an elevator, he was just as nice and interacted with our daughter as well. We appreciate them for all the hard work they did to help us become a family, and now, grow our family. We highly recommend him. Even if you do not live near by, which we are in that boat, he is worth the time and travel involved!
We started our infertility journey in 2015, we had tried for 2.5 years of and nothing was happening. We went to a local clinic first who put us through a series of stressful tests, endometriosis removal surgery, and 3 rounds of Clomid with 2 failed IUIs, I was devastated. They wanted me to try one more time, but I had had enough! We spent so much money and it seemed like they treated all the patients the same and he didnt really know what he was doing. I was doing a Google search one night and I found Dr. Silber, what caught my eye was the success stories and one story in particular. There was a family from a really small town in Eastern, Iowa and my husband had actually taught in their school district for 7 years, I thought if they can have success with Dr. Silber, then so can I. We went through IVF in August of 2016, and Ill never forget the moment I received that call we have good news, your HCg was 169, congratulations, you are pregnant. I still cry about it today! Our little miracle was born a little early, but is a healthy 6 month old peanut! We are so grateful to Dr. Silber, Dr. DeRosa, and the ladies at the clinic. We wouldnt be complete without our little man.
My husband and I struggled with infertility for years. We had a very bad experience with another clinic in St. Louis two years before deciding to give it another try. I did a ton of research and we set up a consultation with Dr. Silber. Thanks to Dr. Silber and his wonderful staff we now have our miracle baby! I’m so thankful for everything he did for us.
Dr. Sherman Silber made a lasting impact in my life. My husband and I struggled with infertility for many years before meeting with Dr. Silber. I vividly remember the hope that he instilled in us that we would soon have a family. We went through one round of mini-IVF and transferred two beautiful embryos, who are now our 2 year old twin boys. Thank you, Dr. Silber for the wonderful gift of parenthood!
My husband and I struggled with male infertility for years. We were originally referred to Dr. Silber but decided to go somewhere a little closer to home. After having a horrible, cold, unfriendly experience somewhere else, we decided to see Dr. Silber. I wish we would have seen him from the beginning. After 8yrs of infertility we are now proud parents of a baby boy. Dr Silbers suggestions for treatment were a slower process than what we had hoped (because of our age now) but proved to be successful, which is the main goal. We are forever grateful to him, his nurse Dena, the assisting fertility doctor Dr. Derosa, the operating room staff, and the lab staff. Everyone was such a pleasure to work with and positively cheered us on the whole way. I would HIGHLY recommend them to everyone struggling with infertility.
Dr Silber made my dreams of becoming a mother come true. After 7 years of tests and failed procedures by other doctors and specialists, I finally found Dr. Silber. He was very dedicated to helping us start our family through IVF. I would recommend him to anyone whove had problems conceiving. Some doctors will turn away difficult cases in order to keep their stats high, but not Dr Silber. We were blessed with a beautiful daughter last year thanks to him, and are making plans for our second child with the help of the Infertility Center of St. Louis and Dr Silber.I wouldnt go anywhere else.
When we first went to Dr. Silber 8 years ago, we weren’t sure if we would ever have a baby. I remember sitting in his office and he asked us how many kids we wanted to have. My husband and I always wanted 3. The journey was not easy and there were times I thought IVF wasn’t going to work but we didn’t give up. Fast forward to now, we have 3 amazing girls, all because of Dr. Silber. We owe everything to him and his amazing staff.
My husband and I did IVF in February of 2017. This was our first time doing IVF after 4 unsuccessful attempts at doing IUI. Dr. Silber’s office was very helpful in the process and helping us understand all details as we progressed through our plan. Being that we were not local we were able to work with local labs to do some of our testing to prevent unnecessary travel. We were only able to produce two successful embryos, but it turned out that was all we needed. On October 18, 2017 we welcome two healthy baby girls Graycen Leigh and Henley Sloan. Thanks to Dr. Silber and his team our family is finally complete.
After four failed cycles at another clinic and a doctor there telling us we’d probably never have biological children, we decided to have a consult with Dr. Silber. I will never forget that day. Within minutes of meeting us he apologized for all we’d been through at our previous clinic and explained we’d both been misdiagnosed. He restored so much hope for us and was confident he could help us have a baby. We now have three beautiful daughters through IVF and the help of Dr. Silber and his amazing team. Words cannot express how thankful we are for him and his outstanding expertise!
My husband, Nathan, and I struggled for over a year to conceive. After a few tests, we discovered we would need to go through IVF for our best chances at getting pregnant. Our OB referred us to Dr. Silber as a possible Specialist in our journey. Well after meeting Dr. Silber, we never met with any other doctors. Our appointment was quick and Dr. Silber got right to the point. Some may be turned off by that, but frankly after a year of questions and what-ifs, I found the information he provided comforting. It was nice to finally have a plan and know that we could begin our journey in getting pregnant. It all went very quickly (Met with Dr. Silber in November and was pregnant by January). Our coordinator, Rachael, was wonderful and very helpful throughout the process. We were expecting to have a frozen transfer, but during our extraction, Dr. Silber let us know our numbers were good enough to do a fresh transfer. That change in plans was some of the best news we had heard! Three days later we were back for our fresh transfer and 9 months after that we welcomed our healthy, baby boy! The moral of the story is Dr. Silber is an amazing Doctor who has pioneered many of these techniques used to help couples grow their families. If youre looking for the best, Dr. Silber is who you want. We couldnt be more thankful to Dr. Silber and his team for giving us our little man and we wouldnt hesitate to use him in the future should we decide to bless Jackson with a sibling. Thank you again-Rachel and Nathan Roos
After 8 years of undiagnosed infertility, we were left hopeless. IVF was the last resort. Our first meeting with Dr. Silber, he reassured us that there was still hope to have children and whatever was wrong with the conception process could be bypassed. Our entire experience was great. Here we are 4 years later with twin 3 year old girls and a 1 year old boy. We still have 2 embryos left and look forward to working with Dr. Siblers team to get those last two kiddos!
My husband and I completed three IVF transfers with Dr. Silber; the third being our lucky number. We successfully conceived and delivered a healthy baby boy after a long emotional and physical journey. We are very thankful for Dr. Silber and his staff for their expertise, compassion, and thoroughness. There was a lot of information to process and our IVF coordinator, Kelsey, made the process as smooth as possible. My hope in writing this review is to give credit to Dr. Silber and his team, but to also encourage women and families out there who are frustrated and discouraged that there is hope. I am living proof that persistence, patience, and faith prevail. We were nearing our wits end when the third transfer yielded positive results. My husband and I are thankful to have a perfectly healthy, full term, baby boy and will try to conceive again in the near future. We will return to Dr. Silber for another IVF transfer if we are unable to conceive naturally the second go-around. I imagine that repeat business is the highest compliment I can give. You are in good hands with Dr. Silber and his team.
My husband and I struggled with infertility for years before meeting Dr. Silber and his team. I have many different infertility issues and he was able to formulate a plan, specific to my needs, in order for us to achieve a successful pregnancy. We went through a few transfers (probably due to my specific issues) and became frustrated at times but we would always follow his guidance and with time and patience we had our miracle baby who has brought us an unbelievable amount of love and joy. For those who get frustrated and feel like giving up, please keep strong and keep pushing forward. It will happen in due time!!Thank you to Dr. Silber and his team, especially Mary Kay, for always being there for us and answering all questions and giving us the hope that our dreams would finally come true . . . they definitely did!!
My husband and I had the reversal done with silver originally and after a few years he was still not fertile. So we came back and did IVF and got pregnant the first time! We have our 1 year old precious gift and couldn’t be more happy! Thank you so much Dr Silber and his team .
My husband and I had already visited three other IVF clinics on the day we met Dr. Silber. He was our last visit, and we almost canceled our appointment because we were sure we wanted to go with another doctor. Other than Gods plan, we dont know why we went that day, but so thankful we did. My husband and I had already completed multiple rounds of IUIs at a previous clinic. In order to be closer to home, we moved to another clinic where we completed two rounds of IVF. Due to complications with a pregnancy for our first son, we decided to look elsewhere. Through that process we were led to Dr. Silber. The feeling of this is the right place started in the waiting room. We talked with other couples from states away, discussing how they discovered Dr. Silber. Our confidence grew, which after 8 years of trying was starting to diminish, as we met with Dr. Silber and he reviewed our case. Dr. Silber was direct and to the point, which we appreciated. Through our IVF cycle, the dedication and precision of his staff along with their compassion made this experience with IVF exceptional. We, my husband, myself, and our new baby boy, are grateful the Lord led us to Dr. Silber, The Wizard, and his staff.
We had a wonderful experience with Dr. Silber! We are so thankful for his incredible knowledge and expertise that led to us having our first child. He was kind and thoughtful throughout the whole process. I highly recommend him to anyone who Is struggling with infertility.
Nothing short of a miracle occurred on March 16, 2018. We welcomed our beautiful baby boy, Wyatt into this world. It would’ve never been possible without Dr. Silber, Dr. DeRosa & their staffs @ The Infertility Center of St Louis. My husband had a 20 year plus vasectomy & I have a double uterus. We didn’t think it would be possible, but wanted to try at the best possible place with the most qualified Medical staff. Sperm retrieval & Mini-IVF worked on our first attempt. We couldn’t be happier.Thank you! -John, Dierdre, & Wyatt Griffith
Its taken me a little while to write a review, because after 4 and a half months of pregnancy im still pinching myself:). Dr. Silber and his counterpart Dr. DeRosa are by far some of the most amazing human beings I have ever met. After having performed 3 very expensive IVF cycles through physicians who didnt have an ounce of the compassion that either of these two physicians; possess, I was blessed enough to come across Dr. Silbers name in my final search for a good IVF clinic...this was it - my last shot. Dr. Silber is a very soft spoken man who is phenomenal at what he does. After my first interaction with him, where he essentially interviewed my husband and I, it quickly became obvious that this is not a get rich quick scheme for him, but a labour of love. The IVF Drs before Dr. Silber promised me a great shot at pregnancy within 2 months and it sure sounded a lot better than Dr. Silbers mini IVF for older woman, in which he said I had a good shot of pregnancy after about 1 year( doesnt sound quite as good, right?). Well, the other IVF clinics took about $120,000 of my money and I walked out with 0 babies. After visiting Dr. Silber for a year and a total cost of about $25000, I am 4 and a half months pregnant with 5 eggs to spare...you do the math. If you are considering IVF and fortunate enough to come across Dr. Silbers name and you are seriously dedicated to expanding your family, please do not hesitate to dial his number.
We are so happy with the amazing team that helped us create our beautiful baby girl. Dr Silber, Dr Derosa and Kelsey, were absolutely incredible in making our dreams come true. Dr Silber is a true genius in his methods with creating, freezing and transferring the embryos. Dr Derosa is very skilled in Surgury and has a great sense of humor. He helped to repair my scars, which were preventing my ability to carry a pregnancy. Kelsey is an absolute sweetheart and so helpful, going above and beyond. I’m not sure what her title is, but it should be rockstar. We will be coming back again to try for a 2nd. Thank you, Dream team!
My husband and I struggled to have a child through multiple doctors and procedures for 7 years! We had chosen a surrogate when we came to Dr. Silber figuring that was the only way we could conceive. I’ll never forget that day when Dr. Silber asked if I wanted to be pregnant because I wanted that more than anything! He said he was confident we should try!! And now today because of Dr. Silber... I have 2 sons that I carried and birthed. Our sons exist because of Dr. Silber. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are man of gold!!
Dr. Silber and his team, along with Dr. DeRosa, were tireless in helping my husband and I to have a baby. We were presented with challenges along the way, but he always provided the next step and a solution. Ultimately, he helped us to have our beautiful daughter this year and we couldnt be more appreciative! His team is very responsive when you have questions and they made the process as easy as possible. We cant wait to work with him again to give our daughter a baby sister or brother next year!
Thank you to Dr. Silber and his team for making our dream come true. The experience with the office staff was great. Stacy our coordinator was extremely helpful and patient. Dr. Silber is straight forward, he is an expert in his field. Thankfully, we were able to do one round of invitro with two embryos and we now have one beautiful baby boy. If you need invitro services/support, Infertility Center of St. Louis is definitely the place to go.
Amazing. We are so happy with our results after seeing Dr. Silber. We were very impressed after our first meeting and he was so confident in getting us pregnant. After a long struggle of 2+ years behind us at other doctors, we knew we were at the right place. I felt like i learned more from him in 15 min than I did with my other doctors in 2 years. There were a hiccup or two when it came to billing, but I value a successful pregnancy and starting a family over a few mess ups for billing, even if it ends up costing me a few thousand because they are not used to working with someone with infertility insurance. My coordinator was the BEST. Without having her email me every other day with clear and concise directions and answering any and all questions, I think IVF would have been very hard and overwhelming. We will be doing this process again, and will be staying right where we are, very satisfied with this decision and process.
Let me 1st state that right before our last transfer using our very last embryo we told Dr. Silber and his staff that even if it didnt work we knew we had gone to the right doctor and that he had given us the very best chance at having a child. Well I am happy to say it did work and we now have the most beautiful and precious daughter. Dr. Silber and his entire staff were amazing - especially Dr. DeRosa and my IVF coordinator Dusty. Dusty was especially compassionate and informative...I could not have made it through this process without her! We travelled from Texas and I tell everyone I know that is having trouble conceiving to go to Dr. Silber - totally worth it!
I began working with Dr. Silber to ensure a future family beginning with my cancer diagnosis in 2006...11 years ago. HE IS A PIONEER! He, his associates, and staff are, in a very large part, responsible for our little family. It is not uncommon to sit in a waiting room at St. Lukes Hospital in St. Louis along with other Silber patients from all over the country and world who have come to finally try Dr. Silber when other agencies have failed them tens of thousands of dollars later. These firsthand testimonies are perhaps Dr. Silbers strongest accolades. He will take the time to answer your questions and explore possibilities with you. If you are struggling with infertility, I strongly recommend you reach out and schedule an appointment with him. You will be impressed with his extensive knowledge, experience, and network. He maintains nothing but the most professional, courteous, and compassionate staff.
After trying several other fertility clinics with zero results, we were given Dr. Silbers information by our ENT. We had been trying for 6 years and were in the double digits with IUI/IVF failed procedures. We followed Dr. Silber and Dr. DeRosas recommendations and are so blessed to have healthy twins. The process can be overwhelming- we were pros by the time we found the clinic so didnt find it that challenging. If you are new to IVF, make sure you keep good records and ask a ton of questions. The hospital bills services separately which can be confusing.
Dr. Silber and his entire staff made our IVF journey an amazing experience. It is very scary when you first find out that the only way you can get pregnant is through IVF. You want the doctors and nurses to be caring and gentle, but you also want the best chances of getting pregnant possible, and we got all of that through Dr. Silber and his staff. Dr. Silber puts so much thought into each patient. He will do whatever he thinks necessary to make sure you get pregnant. Each procedure and doctor visit went as smoothly as it possibly could. From our coordinator, to the receptionist at the surgery center, to the nurse who walked us into surgery, I cannot say enough good things about each person we encountered. Every time we were told to switch medications, or try this procedure, we had full trust in them. And it worked out, because after our first frozen embryo transfer we are expecting our first baby girl!
We always knew that we wanted to be parents but we had no idea that the journey to get there would become one of our greatest challenges but ultimately our greatest blessing to date. The process was certainly not an easy one. After two doctors, two surgeries, many tests, countless meds, and two failed IUI cycles, we were still not seeing those cherished two pink lines. After almost two years, I thought there was a good chance that I might not be able to fall pregnant. There must be something wrong with me even though two other doctors had told me otherwise. I was young. I was healthy. NOTHING was wrong. I knew in my gut that I needed another opinion. After a lot of prayer and research, we found Dr. Sherman Silber. He was mentioned on one of my infertility support groups and it sounded almost too good to be true. My parents actually lived in St Louis at the time. I could stay with them during my appointments, this would be perfect. And it was nothing short of amazing, from the time we met Dr. Silber to our IVF procedure leading all the way up to finding out we were pregnant (with twins!), everyone was absolutely incredible. Dr. Silber found what my other two doctors had missed. I have severe PCOS and needed IVF from the get go, so my instincts had been spot on. Dr. Silber and his staff are extremely kind but more importantly they are empathetic and to infertility patients, this is EVERYTHING.Our beautiful baby boys arrived on December 12, 2016 and “Thank you” just doesn’t seem enough to completely convey the sentiment of what we feel. Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude for Dr. Silber, Dr. DeRosa, and the entire team and staff at Infertility Center of St. Louis. You will not just be another number or statistic to Dr. Silber and his staff; they care very much about your end goal of taking home a healthy baby. Our boys are our entire world and they wouldn’t exist without the blessing of our gracious God and the hard work of the wonderful people of Infertility Center of St. Louis. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping us complete our little family.Ashton and David Underwood
We began our journey in 2017 with Dr Silber. We flew from Florida to meet the man who could change our lives and give us the family we had dreamed of. We went in for our consultation and we were blown away. His staff was so welcoming and kind during our wait to see him. Dr. Silber took his time, he makes you feel like youre his only patient. That right there on top of his success rate was enough for us to sign that day. We couldnt see going with anyone else. We flew back and forth from Florida to St Louis and now we have soon to be 2 year old twins! Thank you Dr. Silber & staff from the bottom of our hearts.
My husband had a vasectomy in 2003, long before we met. Then I came along, and wanted a child of my own. We really didn’t think that it would be possible to have it reversed with a good outcome. My husband saw a couple different local doctors, but they were not optimistic that a vasectomy reversal would work, due to how long it had been at that point. We then began to check into IVF as we felt that was our only option., but became discourage after finding out the cost vs. the percentage rate that it would be successful, so we kind of gave up for a bit. We were then referred to Dr. Silber. He was optimistic, and we were able to schedule his surgery pretty soon after the initial phone consultation. Kenneth had his surgery on May 9, 2016….. almost exactly one year later, I was pregnant! We had a healthy baby boy born on February 9, 2018. All thanks to Dr. Silber- we wouldn’t have this wonderful, precious little boy without his expertise!!!
My husband and I started trying to conceive in November of 2011. We pursued different treatment options after over a year of not getting pregnant. After spending precious time and money for treatments/procedures that did not work at another infertility specialist, we decided it was time to research infertility specialists to find one that could help us achieve our dream of becoming parents. We had our initial meeting with Dr. Silber in October of 2014. He was honest and caring about our situation. He told us exactly what he thought would help us achieve our dream. We soon decided to pursue what he recommended (IVF). Every person that we came in contact with in the office was very helpful throughout the process. Dr. Silber was honest in his recommendations. I knew he was doing what was best for me/my husband. I knew that he, too, had the goal for us to be biological parents. Although the IVF process is not easy by any means, I am now 33 weeks pregnant with a baby girl (due March 2016). I cannot say how thankful I am that we had that meeting with him in October 2014.
From the very first consultation through the embryo transfer; my experience was so easy and mostly stress-free with Dr. Silber and his staff. Even though, I only saw Dr. Silber three times through the whole process, my IVF coordinator, Dusty was always available for questions and always gave me my test results within hours. I did mini-IVF, which was really easy on my body and hormones, even though I only ended up with one embryo, it turned into my beautiful baby girl, Emilia!I would recommend Dr. Silber and his staff at St. Lukes. Everyone was really friendly and helpful especially during my egg retrieval and embryo transfer. All of the nurses were amazing and he talked me through the whole process and made me feel extremely comfortable.
My husband and I saw Dr. Silber in November 2017 for a vasectomy reversal. Instead, he recommended Mini IVF, and we were immediately on board. The staff is very friendly, and his practice seemed extremely organized. We were paired with our coordinator, paid the deposit, and started preparing for our cycle. I was impressed by all the helpful packets I received in the mail. However, there are 2 things that discouraged me, and ultimately made us decide to pursue treatment elsewhere. The nurse we spoke to initially assured us that Mini IVF would be much less expensive than standard IVF. I asked my coordinator if we could talk about the financial side of things, but she told me that a different coordinator would be mailing me everything I needed to know. I didnt receive that paperwork until 2 weeks before my first payment. I was disappointed to see that Silbers Mini IVF was actually MORE expensive than the average cost of regular IVF, and that our assisting physician was going to be performing all of the procedures. I still dont completely understand what Dr. Silbers role was, or why I needed 2 physicians (that both charged thousands of dollars for their participation). I think this clinic is used to the mentality that no price is too great. If you schedule a consultation here, dont be afraid to ask for a number amount!! Make someone tell you how much to expect BEFORE you make a deposit. Because if you dont, they will happily delay that important bit of info.
Dr. Silber performed my vasectomy reversal surgery in 2009. He met us a day before the surgery as well. The whole process was excellent. I became fertile in 2010, and my wife was pregnant a few month later. We had our first baby in 2011 and the second one in 2014. Thank you Dr. Silber
After several wasted years of trying multiple fertility treatments and clinics, we found Dr. Silber. After three attempts with IVF, we now have our little one. Even if we hadnt, though, we would have nothing but positive things to say about Dr. Silber and his team, all of whom treated us with kindness and respect. Highly recommended!
In just a little over a month, my husband and I will be bringing our sweet little boy into the world thanks to Dr. Silber, Dr. DeRosa, and Nurse Kelsey. Without them, this literally was not possible! We cannot thank them enough! Everything went so smoothly and the communication was top-notch. I was never in the dark about anything and knew exactly what to do and when to do it. When possible, we look forward to bringing more babies into the world with the help of the Infertility Center of St. Louis!
My husband and I tried for several years to conceive with no luck. I have PCOS which made getting pregnant much harder. I was a candidate for the mini and had to give up on Round 1 when my follicles refused to grow large enough. I didnt think my husband and I would be able to come up with the money for a 2nd round, but we managed to scrape up the money and try one more time. Dr. Silber doubled my dosage and to make a long story short, were expecting a baby boy in November 2018. I couldnt be more ecstatic and I finally feel like my family is complete. Dusty was fabulous to work with and she was always there to answer my questions along the way.Id also like to add that my sister went through Dr. Silber for IVF 5 years ago and I was blessed to receive a twin niece and nephew thanks to his incredible handiwork!
Dr. Silber is one of the very few IVF experts in the US who really knows reproductive endocrinology well. Hes the pioneer of fertility preservation and still leads the trends in this area. He and his team are totally dedicated to providing holistic care to the patients, and they are always updating their treatments by the best up-to-date evidence. They are very sensitive to the feeling of the patients and their family, and they are constantly supportive while patients are enduring the stress from infertility and even cancer treatments. They are the best!
Thank you to Dr. Silber and his wonderful team for providing such passionate care and expertise with our case. We are very grateful to have found the worlds best fertility expert. After many physicians led us down a path with maybe answers, Dr. Silber thoughtfully reviewed our case and led us in the right direction keeping our thoughts and feelings about conceiving in mind. We wanted to try the most natural approach and finally went down the mini IVF pathway. We cant thank the Infertility Center of St. Louis more for treating us with respect and compassion.
My husband and I met Dr. Silber in 1987. We had tried to conceive 3 years prior with no results. At the time, there was at least a year waiting list to get an appointment. During our wait we continued to see a different doctor and continued with artificial insemination which never worked but at least we felt we were doing something. When we finally received a call that we had an appointment we were so excited. Dr Silber performed a procedure called GIFT,( which I dont think they do anymore), in July 1988. It was successful and in March 1989 we had twins! They are now 24 years old and are both college graduates and healthy.Even though the procedure seems like a long time ago, I still get emotional when I hear Dr. Silber on the radio or read about a new procedure he is now performing. I dont remember the nurses names but I do remember everyone we worked with being very compassionate. We were very fortunate we found Dr. Silber and I dont think we would have had success with any other doctor. My final message is, DONT STOP TRYING. I know sometimes its hard to keep going but there is no one better than Dr. Silber. He is the best!!
Our experience with Dr. Silber started in November of 2007 when we booked my husbands vasectomy reversal. The procedure was performed in April of 2008. The time in between our booking and the surgery was filled with uncertainty and so many questions. It was the response to all those questions that cemented our decision to work with the Infertility Center of St. Louis. I never waited more than 30 minutes for a return call, and there were many. Each question was answered with compassion and professionalism from every contact person with whom we spoke. The day of our consultation came, and we were able to watch videos, ask even more questions, and finally, meet with Dr. Silber. We appreciated his kindness, candor, and commitment to us as his patients. After the procedure we were told of all that happened, shown photos of the repairs, and given excellent insight about what was to come next. For the following months, we waited and waited for positive results. When they didnt come, we were reassured with letters and follow-ups from the staff. Finally, 16 months after the surgery, we conceived our daughter. The celebration wasnt limited to our family and friends: someone in St. Louis celebrated with us.I think the most important part of our experience with Dr. Silber, aside from the success, is that he and his staff have never made us feel like a statistic. His care and concern still ring true with us nearly 5 years later.
We are extremely grateful for Dr. Silber and his team for providing us with the opportunity to have children. It’s easy to see that Dr. Silber is passionate about infertility and giving people a chance to have children who might not be able to otherwise. While we were in St. Louis, we received the utmost care and were treated as though we were their top priority. Their kindness and care comes second to none. We were very comfortable throughout the process because we always knew what was next. We were always told in great detail of what was happening now and what will happen next. It was very reassuring to know what laid ahead of us and to know that there was always someone there to guide us and answer any questions we had.We will be forever thankful for Dr. Silber and everything he and the wonderful folks at St. Luke’s have done for us. We will continue to share our story with others and hope that we inspire those who struggle with fertility to visit Dr. Silber.
I called Dr. Silbers office back in Fall 2017 to set up a consultation. When I spoke to the receptionist, I wasnt asked any questions about what our situation was, and because I wasnt sure which infertility treatment we would need, I was told I would need to make an appointment with his assisting OB Dr. Derosa. I assumed this was just protocol, so I went ahead and did just that. When we met with Dr. Derosa, we explained our situation and were told in less than 30 seconds we would need IVF. I then called Dr. Silbers office back to again to try and set up a consultation. Our appointment was set for early December, but shortly after was cancelled by his office and pushed back a month to January.Once we got in to see him, we started our chat and he was very confused why we were sent to Dr. Derosas office because our case was pretty clear, and in the long run delayed our IVF start 2 months (with a $218 unnecessary doctor bill they refused to fix). Our meeting was short, but it went fine. We were told it would be a pretty easy case and we had great chances. From there we were managed by his office staff, who continued to make error after error since day one. We repeatedly told them we would be using our insurance. We had a meeting with our IVF coordinator who went over costs with us, including a $500 non-refundable fee to start. After going over costs, we agreed and paid the $500. Soon after that, we were informed that the fees our IVF coordinator gave us were special CASH ONLY fees and we would have to call all the specialists involved ourselves to get the actual costs. The rest of the process was bumpy, minor errors and larger ones. My husband addressed all the big concerns we had with the office manager Pam, but we were told over and over that mistakes happen. Which I completely understand, and brushed most of them off. Unfortunately, my pregnancy test resulted in a negative. We wanted to start a second round as soon as possible, so after I took some time I called Dr. Silbers office back to set up round two. I also asked if we could sit down with Dr. Silber beforehand because we wanted to just chat. They set up an appointment, again it was canceled on their end and rescheduled for 2 weeks before we were set to start round two.Within that time we were having many issues again with his staff making errors. They sent us a rate sheet with lower costs, and weeks later told us it was sent in error, they sent my medicine script over to the out of state pharmacy we were ordering our meds through with missing medicines, FMLA dates approved by one person, but then changed after I had already submitted my claim to my insurance, wrong information in my instruction emails, sending me to the wrong labs, etc. I understand mistakes are going to happen, but this was getting out of hand and it was taking time away from my job to jump on the phone to try and fix them. I called and went over my concerns with Pam and she displayed absolutely no sympathy for the situation, again stating “mistakes happen”.Then we went in for our sit down appointment with Dr. Silber. As soon as we sat down he said, “I’m sorry I only have about 5 minutes and then need to leave, so say what you came here to say.” I tried to run through the questions I had, just a basic follow up that I personally think everybody deserves after a failed IVF round. He grabbed my folder and it was like he was reviewing it for the first time. It was TWO WEEKS from when I was supposed to start my injections and he was just then seeing that from my first round results I may need a different protocol. To make a long story short I left the office in tears. What if I had not made that follow up appointment? He would have never looked at my file to see that I needed a better protocol and I most likely would have had another failed round. So we decided to cancel our second round with Dr. Silber and we parted ways. I have since been validated with my concerns about his office by other people that have went to him, so I know I made the right decision.*Edited to fit*
Dr Silber and his staff are amazing! He truly is the best in his field! We just delivered our 2nd miracle IVF baby in December and shes perfect! I seriously recommend you put your trust in Dr Silber and you will have that miracle too!
We want to thank you with all of our heart for helping us start our family . Our son was born 1-7-19 .we prayed for children and we went to get help from Dr.silber and he made our dream come true.Dr.silber is so easy going ,he explains everything to you about IVF and what needs to be done . I researched Dr.silber before we met with him. I love the fact that he is the oldest doctor that is still doing IVF.I remember back in the 1980s seeing the news about the first test tube baby. Well how know I would be needing Dr.silber help one day ,I was only 10 years old. Thank you Dr.Silber and staff. The staff is wonderful ,there always there for you. Thank you Kelsey.
Worst experience in my life. At 46 I was supressed with bc pills before every retrieval. And the 3 months wait for tranfer was not explained clearly until the day of retrieval. Being an international patient and older, I wasted 9 months for a failed transfer. Please stop advertising as specializing in older women. Older women dont do well with bc pills and waiting around for 3 months for transfer (not including Dr Silber vacation) was torturing. You cant even talk to the Doctor. Only time you see him was during egg retrieval. I could have gone to cny and do back to back retrieval with fresh transfer and have a higher chance. Now I cant get my Time back.
Sadly, I had high hopes that Dr. Silbers mini-IVF would work for me but it didnt. Even though I stimulated well (according to my IVF coordinator), there were no eggs retrieved. Dr. Silbers cold response to me was my age, even though during our initial meeting he was very encouraging and talked very highly of his successful mini-IVF protocol for women over 40. We had such high hopes and even the morning of egg retrieval, Dr. Silber and the assisting physician thought we would get something. I understand that these procedures do not work for everyone and that past a certain age, IVF just doesnt work. However, success or not, every patient should be treated with some care and respect and deserves at least some form of follow-up explanation and guidance other than being forgotten. One of the reasons we chose Dr. Silber is because we thought he catered the treatment to the individual and not the masses. However, I feel differently now. He sees A LOT of patients and the wait time for monitoring was over 2 hours at times. I really felt lost in the shuffle and nothing more than a number by the end of my treatment, especially after the egg retrieval when I was cast away as a failure. The only positive I can say is that the staff was very courteous and coordinated and quick to respond to emails.
November 9, 1993 Dr. Sherman J. Silber forever changed our lives. Grateful for our 3 all grown up sons.
Dr. Silber is the 2nd fertility specialist that we saw. The first one was very nice, but Dr. Silber is like a fertility machine. The sheer volume of patients that he juggles without confusion and with careful monitoring, is astonishing. He gets you on the schedule and started very quickly, which is amazing considering that these cycles can only be done 1-2 times in a year. For those of us fighting time, I feel like this is crucial. My coordinator was Dena and we worked with her for over 5 years in our journey. Shes caring and sweet and extremely organized as well. And Dr. DeRosa is so good at co-managing cases. Some of the procedures that I had done were historically very painful, but much less so when done by him.Dr. Silber has a great team that is methodical and caring.I will say, it took a village for us to have children and it wasnt the route I imagined when we started but 3 beautiful kids later, its hard to have regrets.
My husband and I struggled with infertility for several years and had been seen my multiple REs in an effort to conceive. Im so happy we found Dr. Silber. From consultation to egg retrieval was a matter of a couple of months. His staff is very kind and attentive. We are happily expecting our fist child after a long struggle thanks to Dr. Silber. I highly recommend him!
Thanks to Dr. Silber & his staff we have 2 beautiful babies girls!!! Had a great experience with IVF - everything was extremely organized & everyone was very kind. We have complete confidence and faith in Dr. Silber, he is the BEST!
Dr. Sherman Silber is direct and to the point and will try his hardest to help. When first meeting with him--you will wait awhile (like clear your schedule for the day just in case), but this is for good reason! He will study each case in depth to truly determine what is best for the individual. Hes an outstanding man who has a gift and his staff is the best! We were assigned Mindy to work with and communicate with throughout our process. She was there for me with any ridiculous or silly questions I may have had (which I did have frequently). We went in blind, not understanding the process or how long it would take. Going in for the first meeting we just had in our minds were going to have a baby in nine months--I dont know why that was our mind set, but it was unfortunately. We started our journey in August of 2015 and officially started shots in November of 2015. I gave birth to our precious baby boy in October of 2016! The wait and the long process was SO worth it!! I cannot thank Dr. Silber, Dr. DeRosa and their staff enough for the kindness and support they showed our family throughout our fertility process. If you are looking for a miracle and know that God has a plan, I can promise you that if He has lead you to read this post then this is your sign.
We tried to get pregnant for 5 years and were told we had little chance until we met with Dr. Silber. Now our daughter is 16 months old and my wife and I are so happy and we call her the miracle baby and Dr Silber was a big part of the miracle.
Dr. Silber is definitely on the cutting edge and involved in the progression and improvement of the IVF process. We did a lot of research before we choose him as our (final) fertility doctor. He is known worldwide for his advances in technology in regard to this treatment. He was very straight forward with us during our initial visit and was able to diagnose me after studying my chart which included visits and procedures to 5 previous doctors that never gave me a reason for my infertility. He offered us the best solution to our fertility roadblocks and we are currently halfway through our pregnancy after our second round of IVF using our frozen embryos. Although he will not handhold you through the process (that is what his nurses are for – and they are very good at being available to you for whatever you need) he showed genuine care and concern for us. I prefer to let him do the science and let the nurses take care of the other details anyway – let him do what he is good at – getting people pregnant. I have recommended him to numerous people and every time I meet someone that has also had Dr. Silber as their fertility doctor, or known someone that has seen him, were all of the same opinion. They were thrilled with the care they received. If you truly want the best doctor around, Dr. Silber is the doctor I would recommend.
We are so grateful for Dr. Silber, Kelsey Green, Dr. DeRosa and the team. I was like many women who put off pregnancy for many reasons; career, travel and relationships. I started becoming concerned at the age of 36; and once i looked into the cost of fertility treatments I became overwhelmed. I put it off for another 2 yrs.Once I started I was asked to try IUI first (also insurance wanted me to do 5 cycles of IUI before paying for IVF). I did not want to do IUI, if I was in my twenties that would be fine. At the age of 38, i didnt feel like i had the time for 5 cycles and corresponding treatments. I did one cycle of IUI. My husband and I decided we would do IVF next. The cost of the drugs and procedures was outrageous! The local doctor put me on such high doses of medications. I retrieved 4 embryos from the retrieval. I was advised to do genetic testing on our embryos (a cost of $5,000). Once I got the results of my test, I was told they would cause miscarriages. The emotions that took place when I was told that was heart breaking. We decided then we would not return to that office. My good friend told me about Dr.Silber, I was impressed and hopeful that he could help us. My husband and I drove from Nashville to St. Louis to meet with Dr. Silber. He was so kind, patient and encouraging. He was sorry for our loss of the embryos we had. He said he discourages the testing, since I had a low count of embryos and theres always the chance of false positives. The Mini-IVF was what we wanted in drugs and the cost of it all. Its about quality not quantity of the eggs. The drugs were manageable, and i was not concerned about over stimulating my ovaries. I only retrieved 2 embryos the first time and 1 the second time. Before I could transfer any embryos I had to remove a fibroid on my uterus. I decided to have Dr. DeRosa perform that procedure. I placed 2 embryos with my first transfer. I was anxious during the process, only 1 embryo took. I miscarried around 6 weeks. We now only had 1 embryo left. We were advised to do another retrieval, at that point I wanted to transfer the last one (thinking in my heart that it may not work). I think I was more relaxed with my last embryo... which is maybe why it worked. We gave birth to a precious boy, Aidan. No words can explain the joy when he was born.I am 44 yo now, I still am planning this year to do another retrieval. Would like to have one more child. Will be using Dr. Silber and his team again.
My husband and I could not be happier with the level of care and services we received from Infertility Center of St Louis and Dr Sherman Silber were truly the best you can get anywhere. Well worth traveling to see them if need be. I had to have a tubaligation reversed, very challenging procedure, but we now have a 7 year old daughter and would have more except I ran out of eggs I naturally produced after having our daughter at 38, plus she is such a handful we took it as a sign that this is all we can handle. ha ha... but if we had wanted to pursue another we could have, my tubes were still open last time they were checked a 5 yrs post op, pretty impressive and not the norm, usually your lucky to get 6 months to a year to conceive after they are repaired. We will always recommend Dr Silber and the staff at Infertility Center St Louis, they have the right attitudes and skills to bring a baby into the world! FYI- relaxing and putting it out of your mind, believing you will have a baby REALLY DOES HELP!!!!!!!
Dr Silber and his team are awesome. They helped made our dream of having a baby come true. Dr Silber is so compassionate. I felt like he was my dad/uncle. Words cant express my appreciation for how he and his team cared for me. I just want to say thank you and God bless you.
Dr. Silber and his team are amazing!I believe that Dr. Silber and his team are the best in the country, if not the world! I have received only the best care and attention in my journey with IVF, specifically mini-IVF. My story is very common--Im almost 44 years old and finally ready in my life to become a mother, and yet it would be too late for me on a biological level if it wasnt for todays Assisted Reproductive Technology. Dr. Silber has been a leader and pioneer in his field and continues to be so--he has helped thousands and thousands of women and couples achieve their dream of having a child/children. By seeking out his help, I too have a very good chance of realizing my dream! I would like to stress the importance of mini-IVF, or minimal-IVF stimulation, for my case and for other women in my age group, which is early 40s. I had heard all kinds of scary stories of women going through conventional IVF, what with the mood swings, the expensive costs of drugs and treatment, the long and drawn-out treatment itself, and the risk of hyper-stimulation syndrome. But mini-IVF is the way to go! After completing two cycles of this approach, I can say that it is more humane than the conventional approach. Minimal drugs, minimal expense, minimal duration of treatment, minimal risk (if any)--basically minimal discomfort and inconvenience! I highly recommend mini-IVF for women like me! There is excellent information about it on the Infertility Center of St. Louiss website that explains the approach and what its all about. I truly believe that Dr. Silber is a real doctor in the sense that he cares about his patients rather than viewing them as just another case, that he cares about his patients dreams and does his best to assist with them, that he is kind and generous and warm and fun! Yes, his warmth may just be the most notable quality for me--a doctor who practices compassion and a genuine desire to help is a true doctor in my book! You cant go wrong with Dr. Silber and his team! They will do everything they can to serve you in realizing one of the most powerful dreams of life!
Just wanted to thank Dr. Silber, Dr. DeRosa and staff for our new baby boy born 1 week ago. We are grateful that mini IVF worked for us!! It was a stressful process but in the end it’s all worth it!!! We have been blessed.
I would still write this positive review even if we didnt have success, which we didnt on the first try. My husband and I had been trying to conceive for 2 years with 2 ectopic pregnancies and no other choice but IVF for having our own biological children. I also found out I have PCOS and was afraid to pursue IVF but we made a consult anyway. Our first cycle of Denmark mini gave us one embryo that didnt result in a pregnancy. We were heart broken but was assured to try again with a different trigger shot. The second time gave us 5 embryos that gave us our twin girls. Dr. Silber and his staff are heavily involved in your success and are very evidence based. Hes been doing it longer than anyone else in the world and hes very no BS. Fertility issues can get very complicated very quickly and you can be told a hundred diets and supplements to go on. He sticks to the simple but tried and true methods. Dont wait and dont waste your money on IUIs, supplements, etc. Just go see them and youll be in the best of care from the start.
In 2007 I sought out the help of Dr. Silber. I had done many IUIs and 2 full IVF cycles with other doctors with no success. We had frozen embryos from our first IVF cycle that we ended up bring to Dr. Silber. At our consultation he told us after reviewing ultrasound pics of the frozen embryos that there was nothing wrong with using them. He easily could have said we needed to do a full IVF cycle. He felt I just needed to be put further under during anesthesia so that my muscles werent contracting when the embryo was placed within me. He kept my medicines to the minimum trying to save us money where he could. He totally could have taken us to the cleaners having us do another full IVF but he didnt. He was honest every step of the way. His staff was compassionate at all times. At any point if I had a question they were readily available to answer. I would have still rated Dr. Silber excellent even if we didnt have success. He was kind, compassionate, willing to do what he could to save money. He never mislead us along the way.
The doctor here seemed decent, however his staff is the most unprofessional and rude employees that we have ever encountered. Twice, they stood us up by keeping us more that an hour waiting on zoom. Why schedule an appointment when you are clearly going to waste people’s time? Anyway, after being stood up twice, we left a review. Then his staff threatened us that if we didn’t remove the review, they would stop treating us.That’s when we decided to take our business elsewhere……… and OMG the service was night and day!!! At the other clinic, we were tested professionally, both the staff and doctors were always on time (down to the minute) and after a successful treatment we are now expecting a baby girl.So glad that we took our business elsewhere ….. you are paying tens of thousands of dollars and treated by rude and unprofessional staff….. completely unacceptable to today’s standards.Beware, beware, beware!!!
I went to Dr.Silber 15 years ago and did ICSI IVF. My ex husband and I were very blessed we only had to try 1 time. We put 3 embryos in. Here we are almost 14 years later & our twins turn 14 in January 2017! They are the two sweetest TEENS I have ever met. There isnt a day that goes by that I dont look at them & realize how blessed I am to have them. Thank You doctor Silber for giving me my two very special kidos :)
Dr. Silber and his staff are phenomenal! I had the utmost confidence in Dr. Silbers abilities and was positive that he would help in making my dreams of having a family turn into a reality. Not only did I have success once, but twice! I would not have wanted to go through this experience at any other center. Everything worked seamlessly.
Dr Silber seemed like a decent guy during our zoom conference. His staff however was very difficult to deal with. We were fortunate enough to have insurance that covers 80% of an out of network doctor. We gave the office a copy of our pre authorization letter and everything was fine. 20 days before my target date they decided we owed the money up front and insurance could reimburse. Hello, if we could afford that, we wouldnt have jumped through all the hoops to make sure insurance was going to cover it. And wouldnt have gotten them the pre authorization letter. When my husband voiced his concerns on this, they emailed us to inform us we needed to go elsewhere. So if you use them, dont stand up for yourself and question anything because you will be kicked to the curb. Then they will precede to lie and say it was clearly explained to us. Uh no, if it was, we wouldnt be in this predicament. They are only worried about the money and pick their patients because they can. I highly recommend not getting caught up in their scams. They kept mentioning the 99% who dont have insurance that cover IVF but never focused on the 1% like us who are lucky enough to have insurance that covers drs out of network. They dont know how to handle the 1%.
A medical first....In 1988 our daughter Hannah was born. Dr. Silber along with a team in Orange County California performed the GIFT procedure; which enabled my husband and I to conceive. We truly felt blessed then and continue to feel blessed as Hannah and Andy have given us our first grandson, Levi; now 5 months old. Dr. Silber performed ICSI on us in 1997 .From our frozen embryos we became proud parents of our second daughter, Jesse. She was born in Nov. of 1997. Dr. Silber is a pioneer in the field of infertility and continues his work blessing families.
I cannot say thank you enough Dr. Silber, Dr. DeRosa, Kelsey and Shelly. When I started this journey April 4, 2018 I could not have imagined all that it would entail. Your professionalism, kindness, and unwavering support guided me though my journey. There have been many ups and downs , surgeries/procedures (all of which you predicted by the way), and lots of tears (both happy and sad). Yet your office never once gave up hope and continued to encourage me to think positively. There were times that I know I asked some really dumb questions and I was never made to feel stupid in my asking. In a little over 2 ½ weeks I will be welcoming my baby into this world because of you. Thank you for never giving up on me and my journey to motherhood.
Thank u very much to Dr. Silber and his staff. Very professional helpful and told us honest true always. Price it is hard to put price on a beautiful child from God. We have a beautiful girl 5 weeks old now. I am 60 year old man my wife 42 year old flipina. We were able to use Fairfax egg donor which had the donor another flipina lady as my wife wanted to keep close to her ethinicity. The process waa fast easy. Dr.Silber and his staff worked Very well with us with the financial paperwork. Told us the entire process from start to finish. God bless. Everyone that helped us complete our family.
Updated to add: Dr. Silber’s reply is correct—I wasn’t his patient, but my daughter and son-in-law were clients. We, the parents, are the ones left to deal with the heartache and the anger. We hope to share our experience in hopes of preventing another family from such a horrible, expensive experience! From missing medications to horrible communication practices, this place has been one nightmare after another for our family. The accolades all over the wall are meaningless - the proof of a good dr is good care and good results----all we have is $65,000 less in the bank and NOTHING else but heartache and frustration that comes from dealing with an incompetent staff. If you are looking for a fertility doctor, run to another option. This place cares only about money - its disgusting.
My husband and I did IVF in 2010 and 2012. Dr. Silber was very help[ful and his staff explained things very well. Anytime I had a question I called, and they were always very helpful. We had success with both IVF cycles, and now we have two wonderful little boys.
I married my high school sweetheart after dating for 11yrs. We were married at least 5yrs. We tried having a baby on our own for several yrs. I had tried herbs to help me it helped but had a miscarriage within 2-3 weeks of being pregnant. We then decided to try IVF here locally (Louisville, KY). We went thru 2 frozen egg transfers both eventually failed within a month. We then decided to take a break and tried again on our own. The next following January 2016 we found Dr. SILBER S CLINIC. We read and watched his videos and had a great feeling about this place. We immediately called and setup a consult with Dr. SILBER for January. He read thru our history and immediately stated he believed its a chromosome inversion in one of us, but wanted us both to get blood tests to be sure and which one of us it could be. He made us feel like we still had hope of having a successful pregnancy. Found out I (Jessica) had a chromosome inversion. The chromosome inversion is what was causing my miscarriages. Stated my inversion only gave about 15-20% of my eggs to be healthy. Dr. SILBER stated all we would need to do is have ALL my eggs that they retrieved to be tested. This way they know which eggs are healthy to be successfull candidates for egg transfer. That March we had our egg retrieval and 5 out 7 eggs were healthy to candidates for frozen egg transfer. That May 2016 we had our egg transfer. JANUARY 2017 our dream came true!! We had a extremely strong, active and healthy son. Dr. SILBER and his whole team made us feel like family. Each staff/ team member was very organized, extremely nice, very educated and easy to get a hold of for anything thru this entire process. We are planning on going back in near future to give Oliver a brother or sister. Reccommend Dr. SILBER and his team to everyone!
We came to the conclusion that my wife and I could not do it on our own. With Dr. Silber help even though the chance of us having a kid with Invetro was not in our favor we have been blessed with our beautiful son Colin. He is the light of our life and we are forever grateful to Dr. Silber and his staff. Thank you soooooo much!!!!
Endless thank yous to Dr. Silber & Dr. DeRosa and their amazing team! We had a difficult case and Dr. Silber gave us answers we couldnt get anywhere else once we understood our challenge with fertility it was much easier to cope with and even better our mini ivf treatment was successful and we are pregnant with a baby girl. Robin & Robin
When all others said my wife and I couldn’t have children, we came to Dr. Silber. People from all over the world come to him because he is THE best! He is a leader in his field, and it shows. My wife and I now have 3 perfect children thanks to Dr. Silber. When you are told you can’t conceive from other “experts,” do yourself a favor and go see THE EXPERT..... Dr. Silber.
I traveled from New Jersey to St. Louis back in 1982 to have a vasectomy reversal by Dr. Silber. My wife gave birth to a healthy child in May 1983. I am happy to say that we had 2 more healthy children afterwards. The doctor and his staff were very professional.
Im writing this review of Dr. Silber and his staff on my own accord. Nobody asked me to do this. I had a Vasectomy Reversal performed by Dr. Silber about 6 days ago now.Dr. Silber is The Man!!! There IS pain and discomfort involved with this surgery. The sack is a VERY tender and delicate part of the body. I was a little scared going into this surgery and I cant imagine having any other Doctor do this besides Dr. Silber. The entire time I had piece of mind knowing I was at THE BEST place in the world for this operation.Dr. Silbers bedside manor is awesome. Hes funny, caring and confident. Im still recovering but Im very grateful for having had this modern day miracle artistically performed. Thanks Dr. Silber!!!
We have had one chemical, one miscarriage, and only one embryo remaining out of five good specimens with Dr. Silber. He is incredibly inflexible, refusing to perform most common testing other clinics insist on. In fact, after going to a new clinic, he would have missed the uterine polyp that could have caused an additional miscarriage in his normal FET treatment. It was only found during a saline ultrasound, not through a typical ultrasound (what youd do at his office for initial review and monitoring) or at the HSG I had done in my regular GYN office after my loss. (Which, for reference sake on my miscarriage, was found to be normal and lost due to SCH. My answer received was: wed do the exact same procedure over again. No additional testing required.)This clinic has been an upsetting experience: from a doctor who constantly forgets what youve spoken about and will aggressively ask why youre having a procedure right before it after being forced to wait three hours in their surgery waiting rooms; to getting were sorry you miscarried, let us know when you trying again five weeks after the fact and finally only after you tell them youre going elsewhere; to being kicked out the door the second youre pregnant without any additional support from his office. I will state they do refer you to their GYN in full transparency, but after having a few visits that took an hour+ wait and then conversations that lasted maybe 5 minutes with that doctor, I chose to pick one who didnt make me feel like they were rushing me out. It didnt even feel like their office and doctor knew why I was referred to him in the first place and made the whole situation really awkward despite saying I was an IVF patient with Dr. Silber. If they couldnt even take time to examine me when I wasnt pregnant, why would they start when I was having issues? In addition, no one wants to be told when theyre anxious after one loss already to just meditate since he doesnt believe in ANY medication that might comfort you. This is a painful, stressful time in your life. Meditation is good for plenty, but when youre scared and down four embryos already and so much money, it doesnt cut it. Just a little more comfort and bedside manner would have been nice and gone a long way. Finally, Id like to mention his off-putting commentary. During our first introduction, he made a massively overweight comment after mentioning I lost weight. And unlike what the reply is below, I have copies of his dictated transcript that state she is on Metformin but thats because she was massively overweight and she has a history of diabetes in the family. Which is wrong in the first place. I told them I had insulin resistance (no diabetes, but family does have) and lost weight after the fact. It just seemed a really weird comment at the time (was it really necessary to put emphasis on massively overweight?), but this is one of many other off-putting commentary throughout the entire process. In the end, just avoid. This doctor doesnt like to be questioned, and when it comes to your health and your hopeful pregnancy, you should find someone who goes above and beyond for you. Just find someone more compassionate and who will make sure your body is as prepared as possible for a baby. And makes sure you stay pregnant to the best of their ability. And in final fairness, here is what I liked about the office. Location. Prompt answers on monitoring days. If your coordinator was out, another would answer. I liked the feeling that this doctor had a lot of experience, particularly in cystic fibrosis. Honestly, I really enjoyed the coordinators and nursing staff. They put up with my worries and anxiety and generally tried their best.It just felt as if so much more could have been done, and when we pay all this money, go through these shots and hormones, everything is wrapped into this: emotions, health, finances, your entire life. You deserve the best.
Dr. SIlber and his team are the best. If you need help with your infertility, do yourself a favor and let Dr. Silber help you. He and all of his team are courteous, caring, and knowledgeable. If anyone can help you it will be this team of people. He has changed many peoples lives including my own. You dont have to look far or research much to see the great work he has done.
Dr. Silber is an elderly and has many disabilities including hearing, sight and many more. Hes not able to perform ivf or any medical procedures. I wonder how hes able to have a medical license in this situation.
Had consultation with Dr. Silber few years ago. I wass approaching menopause. Family circumstances changed things and we were unable to continue at that time even though he said he could help us. Dr. Silber, can you do and assist with post menopause IVF?
While the consultation with the doc was fine, the staff, their respect to people’s time, and the adherence to their appointment schedule was horrible.Zero respect to people’s time and adherence to schedule and appointment time. Horrible manner from the staff.Won’t waist our time here anymore.
I gave up on the healthcare industry until we met Dr Silber. From start to finish everything happened just like he said, so just listen to him and his staff and everything will work out for you.Richard and Citalyn coggin. This is Catalina and Maximus Coggin
Met with Dr. Silber once at the beginning of our journey. I was scared and anxious. He did not help in fact he was rude, spazzy, loud and just plain odd! Definitely didnt go back.
We struggled for almost 10 years to have a baby, after many failed attempts and our current dr saying there was nothing else he could do, a co worker told us about Dr Silber, 1 year later we had our first child, some people just get it and he gets it when it comes to infertility.
Best place to go for IVF treatments. Everyone at the office was very helpful. No words can describe how happy we are that we chose to go to Dr. Silber. He and his office made our dreams of being parents come true.....
Im looking foward to doing mini ivf with Dr.Silber in a couple months, i pray we are able to bring healthy baby into this world. So far i have nothing bad to say about him or his team!! Ill update my status after the procedure is complete!
