Everyone was Phenomenal!! Above and beyond!!! From the onset, the front desk was kind helpful and efficient. At triage, I was in so much discomfort her level of knowledge and professionalism was really next level. Rowan was equally great! She accessed my condition and treated me swiftly and even offered a follow up!! If you have need for urgent care, this is the place to go! A million thank yous to the staff.
Dr Williams was polite and listen to me. She was empathetic and many providers lack that skill. The medical techs assisted and I am on the road to recovery. The wait was over one hour; however, the staff did not rush my treatment. AFC Otay Lakes has an amazing team.
Ive come here so many times and have honestly always had a good experience. The staff are really kind and make you feel heard. The wait usually isnt too long but Id say to expect at the very least an hour maybe. Ive gotten seen by Keeler multiple times too and shes honestly so sweet and knowledgable. Can always appreciate a really good visit here because too often Ive gone to hospitals or just places with medical providers who werent attentive or very helpful or respectful which is kind of the worst when youre feeling sick or need urgent care.Today I came in because I had a really bad tooth ache along with fatigue, nausea, and other weird symptoms. Keeler was so quick at identifying it as a tooth infection and prescribing me antibiotics.Highly recommend this place!
Excellent recommendations and suggestions for treatment until follow up appointment with my provider. Very knowledgeable and caring doctor.
Very clean, very kind, very professional, friendly non judgemental and very educated staff. Healthcare has taken a turn, most would say for thr worse and its challenging finding good service and care and compassion. This location in Bonita, was exceptional! They double checked all paperwork for accuracy, excellent communication skills, and just gave me an overall great experience. The check in process was easy and an acceptable wait time of 1.5 hours. They were busy but never made me feel too busy to answer my questions or give me exceptional care. I traveled out of my way to come here, very worth the trip I will likely always choose this location and highly recommend them. I will also add, the provider was very compassionate and caring, she gave only encouragement and passed zero judgment. All the staff were very considerate and kind.
After checking me in and having me wait they suddenly decided I should go to the Emergency instead. They never even looked at my finger which probably needs 2-3 stitches. They were telling everyone the doctor has to take a lunch and the receptionist a break which was going to make the wait time longer. I guess theres like 2 people working? So after checking me in and wasting my time I have to start all over at the hospital for their convenience.
NP Dacanay is very thorough, very nice and listens to our complaints. She is the best. The receptionist named Adrianna is amulti task employee, very helpful and always smiling. Great in customer relation.
Went in yesterday, and the clinic was clean and peaceful. The receptionist Ivanna was kind and helpful. Mackenzie Williams N.P. was fantastic and very knowledgeable. As well as the people in Triage April and Ashlye. Thank you all for a quick and easy visit.
Worst urgent care ever, came for a follow up on a work injury and had an appt at 10:30 and I got here at 10:30 and currently have been here for an hour and 30 minutes it’s 12:02 and the only thing they’ve done is my vitals. It is not even busy there was 2 people in front of me. This is ridiculous. The first time i came here it took the same amount of time without an appt you would think it would be faster with an appt but no! Don’t come here if you don’t want to waste your time
The Service I received at AFC was remarkable, from the front desk, nurse, and doctor. There was only a short wait time on a Saturday morning. Excellent ! I am 59 years old and have never had such a great timely experience.I am a native of San Diego from Bonita, Chula Vista and National CityI never expected anything but lengthy wait times when it came to urgent medical help.I lived in San Marcos and moved back home the day prior to the city after my husbands death this February. Needing a Urgent service with a severe bladder infection usually would land me in a ER with hours of wait time in bad pain. What a wonderful welcome home to this area.Again thank you all.MRs Carol Dawn Maynard
Im looking foe urgent care neary and our insurance send us info about this urgent care. Its a great clinic staff and doctor are very professional and polite. I didnt wait for long time its fast. Even lab. Results were fast. Definetly will recommend it.thanks
Staff are nice and courteous. I hit the metal box outside the door on the way out to get some air, then I notice I have blood & look I have a little cut on my lower shin. I went back inside & asked receptionist if she have some antibiotics for my cut. She went inside & get antibiotics & bandaid & gave it to me. I couldn’t open the antibiotic so, I asked her if she got scissors, but instead giving scissors she open it for me.. thanks to her I appreciated what she did … good 😊 job…
All of the staff was very nice especially Luz. She was also able to help me get my prescription quickly after my visit.
Worst urgent Care ever! You could risk your life if you have an emergency! Try to avoid it.They dont respect their opening hours, and they treat their emergency visitor very unprofessionally. Avoid it to save your life
8:55am sign in for 9:40 “time slot” (not appointment). Did all the registering online to get in and out quickly and showed up early. Was told there are 2 people ahead of me. Waited a hour and half in the parking lot because the waiting room is my worst nightmare.Got a text saying I missed my “appointment”. Went to front desk to ask about my status. “Idk why it sent you that text.” She informs me there are now 3 people ahead of me. I ask how that happened and she apologizes and says “it’s been a crazy morning”. Okay.Back to waiting in the car. Then they sent a text requesting me to fill out registration form again. 3rd times a charm I guess. They call me to explain their system deleted all my info so I need to fill that out asap. Ooookay. They call me again to ask about insurance which I don’t have as stated on the registration form. They ask me to come in and pay $149 to see the doctor. Fine. They ask to wait in the waiting room because I will be called in “soon”.10:45am I’m finally called in for all the fun questions. More waiting but at last I am in the exam room… listening thru the door to the nurses chit chatting about their issues with their previous jobs.11:15am I am seen by a physician!!! I take about 5 min of her time and my script is written and I am out the door by 11:20.Why is it always like this at urgent cares? Where is the sense of urgency???
The wait was long but the staff immediately let you know and even asked if you wanted them to call another urgent care close by if the wait was shorter I thought that was so considerate of them they are so nice there when my turn came up the doctor was very attentive to help me find what I had and how to make me better! I was at level 7-8 in pain and after I took my medication 2 hours later my pain level was 3 today this morning pain level 2 and was up early and ready for the things I was not able to do last week
WAIT IS LONG BUT THE CARE CAN BE WORTH IT ! Came here when I was having really bad random migraines . My head was hurting so badly I cried . I went to the ER twice & received no real help . At AFC the doctor immediately understood my situation, once I told her my symptoms , & she gave me a prescription to rid the infection. I was so thankful because the pain was debilitating . I wish I remembered the Drs name because I would send her some flowers . Since then I haven’t had a migraine. Thinking back , I am so glad that is behind me !
Stupid me dropped something on my left middle toe and it would not stop bleeding. The Staff at AFC Urgent Care took great care of me and my accidental injury. Thanks to all!!!!
She was not in a hurry. Took time and listens to my medical issues and suggested tests that must be done to identify other problems that might be connected to my health problems.
They claim to open at 8AM, but in reality customers may need to wait over an hour for staff to be ready to assist them. For example, when my daughter arrived at 8AM when they state they open, she did not receive service until 9:15AM. I understand needing a brief period to get organized in the morning. However, the discrepancy between the advertised opening time and when staff are actually prepared to serve customers is too large. This morning, my daughter unfortunately ended up being late for school while waiting for over an hour past the listed open time. Going forward, I would suggest either adjusting the posted opening hours to more accurately reflect when customers can realistically expect service, or ensuring staff has someone available right at 8AM who is ready to greet and help visitors.
My mom was seen mid week and a time was set up yet when she got there she was not seen for 3 hours. She was given an appointment by the doctor to be re- seen, but when we called to verify we were told there are no appointments and we could come in and wait. I asked about people that come in and are seen before people that are waiting and was told she did not know what I was referring to. I will never bring anyone there ever again. If you are reading this do not go here.
The provider and staff were great! 😊 everyone did amazing. The only thing is the wait time. Honestly though I would wait as long as needed just because the staff and provider were amazing!
All the staff, starting with the ladies who welcome every client and acknowledge them, are awesome, and the doctor who I provided me with the service was great too. She was very attentive to the symptoms I was describing and warmth. This is my first visit, and overall, it was a good experience. As a patient feeling physically bad, you just want to check in and get checked and be out back to rest or solution for pain. This was this kind of visit, I know what it comes to times, mostly depending on how much clients are at the moment, the situation, and theres no control over that. like I said, the 2 receptionists at the front were welcoming and attentive to everyone who walked in immediately to tell them how they could help. I certainly will make this my 1st choice on urgent care.
Worthless company stops seeing people as early as 7:25 even though theyre open until 8pm. Were full is not a valid excuse. Hire more doctors.**UPDATE Went back the next morning at 7:20am to be seen by a doctor when they opened at 8am. I was the second one in line to be seen. Soon after they opened their doors there was a 3 hour wait.I got 2.5 minutes with your Dr. who prescribed me steroids. Went home in excruciating 10/10 pain because I thought there was nothing else to be done. Your doctor made it sound like it wasnt serious.Had to go to the ER first thing the next morning. Guess what! A fully herniated disk out of my spine was the problem all along. Had your Dr given me the time of day or told me to go to the ER like she should have I may not have needed a trip to Coronado Hospital ER for an MRI and then an ambulance ride to Sharp Memorial. I just got out of the hospital after 5 days on opioids and a steroid epidural. Your doctor told me take some ibuprofen and Tylenol. Your facility is a joke. Shame on your attention to patient care. You failed me hard. I suffered for 48 extra hours because of you.
It was my first time there and there were alot of patients still waiting to be seen. I forgot my phone so the staff helped me with registration. Even though it was close to closing, I was still able to have been seen. The PA,Shawn was very professional and kind. I will be utilizing your services again. Thank you
If you go to this location, please make sure you are registered first. The new patient registration process is tedious and difficult. It didnt work on my phone and I was forced to use their kiosk which is about 1 foot away from the people signing in and speaking to intake. Some people were very sick with covid like symptoms and didnt have masks on, and werent asked to put a mask on. That was very concerning to me, especially as I brought my child in just for a infected toe. We ultimately didnt see the doctor so I cannot comment on that. But we spent about 20 minutes being exposed to germs we dont need and then left because it was ridiculous. We were second person there upon opening time, by the time I was halfway registered, we would have been there for hours because we were already getting pushed well behind the line of 5 ppl or more.
Great staff, no wait and very efficient! Fast prescriptions at Rite Aid next door.
Id like to thank the female member who was able to help convince my grandson to get his vitals done. He is very difficult to get any type of cooperation from and she did it effortlessly. Not to mention we were in the office really late. Thank you all for your patience.
I took my daughter months ago for a flu that wouldnt go away. Called before going if the accepted my insurance said yes and went now my oldest daughter is geting a billed for services for my youngest and she wasnt even there. Have called and sent copies of my insurance and it hasnt gotten resolved. Would not recommend anyone going here.
I typically don’t write reviews however this needs to be known. As of this week this office will be closed by 4pm. I took my son to this location today to be seen around 4:20 pm. I walked in expecting to be seen only to arrive at the desk of two very unprofessional ladies working there. I asked them if I could check in. After what seemed to be 20 seconds one lady responded without looking up that they would not be seeing any patients after 4 pm starting this week due to doctors not picking up the shifts. I understood that. What I didn’t understand is why the company hours had not been changed on the website. Also, the lack of compassion these two showed was disheartening. They are still in the medical field compassion is usually displayed at the front desk. At least that’s what I was taught in training.
From the receptionist to the doctor they were all professional kind and respectful Ty. Dr Julie is a gem!
Yes the front desk staff - was very friendly and informative with the registration process, the nurse that saw me was very patient and understanding. The Dr was informative and I appreciate the advise he gave with minimal info. His X-ray tech had left for the day. He couldnt determine what exactly happened with my ankle when I rolled it while running but have me info on how to care while waiting for X-ray
My visit at AFC was super fast, they treated me very nicely & helped me with my migraines. I would totally recommend going there. I was out from there in 40minutes.
I went in today and my vitals and labs were both done by the same nurse Christina. She was very kind and explained everything to me before she did it and while she did it. She did an excellent job. I am a retired marine and the level of care she gave me was substantially better than what I am used to. The doctor I saw was very relatable and nice to me as well. He answered my questions and seemed to really care. Will definitely come back. They made the experience worth the long wait time.
Austin was knowledgeable, thorough, listened patiently, and diagnosed my symptoms accurately.Darren was careful and gentle when he administered the flu and covid tests.Really appreciate the kindness and patience received
All i can say is that a big thank you and I really do appreciate for the help that i need on the day of my visit to the clinic. Of course the waiting time expectations is long coz there’s some patients too that need to be assisted, but thats fine with me as long as i got the purpose of my visit to the clinic. A big thank you to Dr H. Moore who assisted me all thru the end of the process. Good job and god bless to all people of AFC Urgent Care Chula Vista branch 🙏❤️💐
Staff at the front desk were extremely rude at time of visit. I received a bill a year later for services I never received and when I called to ask the girl who answered greeted me with a sigh and immediately put me on hold and didn’t answer any of my questions then told me to call my insurance. I’m not one to post negative reviews but I’ve been so incredibly frustrated with my experiences here.
We will not be attending this office again. This time, we got a male doctor, and he was extremely unprofessional and rude. He kept cutting us off when we spoke. Never provided us with any advice or tips on what we should do. Along with that, we got prescribed drugs we had no idea what they were or what they did. He never told us. We ended up at the pharmacy, and even they were dumbfounded the doctor told us absolutely nothing. His careless attitude should be reported
Great staff and overall organization. Take super care to the patients
Friendly staff , the provider was Exceptional! very knowledgeable, understanding and very sweet.
As a well traveled military fam who is always on the go, this was the best pit stop urgent care visit we’ve ever had. They are prompt, clean, professional, flexible, and accommodating.Diana or maybe her name was Adriana was boss level handling the flow of it all… seamlessly done.
Went to this urgent care didn’t had to wait long, the provider was so helpful and the staff too especially Ashlye.
The wait time was more than two hours which is strange for this location. Nearly as long as waiting in the ER at a hospital. Staff are friendly and professional.
I had a bad experience at this Urgent Care. The receptionist is very rude. I was called to take my blood report in the morning and when i arrived they mentioned that the call was by mistake and I should have called them back to confirm. I was told to come back 5 hours later. This same blood report when I saw was ready 3 days before they called me. The doctor was nice but the the lady sitting outside is not helpful and very rude to talk to .
The staff had great communication. The wait was comfortable and short. The location was easy to find. The doctor especially was so kind and informative.
Came in with cough not feeling well. Everyone here was extremely nice and compassionate. The place is clean and the doctor actually took time to listen to me. Highly recommend this place!
I waited 3 hours for the worst advice for treatment. I am in my 3rd trimester and i went in for flu like symptoms. The dr or nurse practitioner whatever she was told me to take NyQuil and gave me antibiotics for a sinus infection. They didn’t test me for the flu or anything. They didn’t check to make sure the baby was okay. After feeling like the trip was a waste of time I emailed my obgyn to get second opinion and she highly advised against taking NyQuil and was taken back at the fact the clinic recommend to take that and didn’t test me. I wouldn’t recommend coming here. Front staff was friendly only positive about the visit.
The AFC team did a great job overall. The young lady who was answering the phones on the morning of 9/12 was very pleasant and expressed concern for my issue. I went that Saturday afternoon and there appeared to be plenty of staff handling the clients. I waited maybe 20 minutes and was taken in for vitals. The nurse practitioner came in after about 5 min and got right to the problem. I was in serious pain due to a workout injury and his course of treatment was exactly what I needed. The check out process was just as quick regardless of the afternoon receptionist who seemed not as patient as the morning intake rep. But not enough for me to drop the 5 stars.
3 hour wait, terrible service. Didnt even send prescription in to pharmacy, when we called they said the “doctor” wasnt there and since she didnt see me She couldnt send any medication!Waste of time, didnt help with my cough or infection and had to run to tijuana to get amoxicillin. And still they billed my insurance $1200 dollars !! Thieves !! No wonder you take insurance ….
10 Mar 2024 Update: went there at 7:41 on Sunday--supposed to be open tll 8:00 p.m. (not). Closed tight as a tomb, lights out, cold, dark ànd quiet. Give this place a miss!- - - - - -Dont go here if you think youre sick. Wife went there for Paxlovid suspecting COVID (although three times innoculated). They threw her out (told her to wait in car) and, after an hour, said they couldnt (wouldnt?) help her. Give this place a miss!
Just a side note Ive come here in the past for rapid COVID test and both visits went fine. I was charged my copay both times before I was tested. Today, I wait patiently for 2.5 hours, get called to the back. Im following the normal process and Im told they will be performing the send out test NOT the rapid. I ask why the previous times they were rapid and was told my insurance didnt cover. I then questioned why the last 2 times I was never told this and both previous times I was just charged a copay. While I dont care about paying for the test I do care about time wasted. I asked why I was never told this while I was waiting! I sat for 2 and a half hours and could have went somewhere else. The person assisting me in the back tried reasoning with me and ended up giving me the rapid test after signing a waiver saying Im responsible for paying if my insurance rejected it. Like I said, I dont care if I have to pay for the test but you cant give me my time back. The other times Ive been here I was under the impression that my insurance covered it since I paid the copay. The assistant in the back told me the front desk doesnt look at past visits and wouldnt be able to determine if my insurance covered. ?!?! Huh Im confused why did they charge me a copay in the past and never told me it wasnt covered. So what is it?! Then the person helping me kept telling me I can talk to billing. Again, Ill pay but you couldve told me in the beginning that my insurance didnt cover so I could seek a place that did. I sat for over an hour waiting for my results. I actually had to get up and ask the receptionist if they forgot. I waited another 10 min, 7:10PM now and they handed me my results which was time stamped 5:57PM. So I waited even longer. All in all i spent about 4hrs for a not so Rapid test. results were fast, staff not really. Oh and the assistant in the back that I mentioned earlier decided it was OK to butt into the conversation I was having with the receptionist about insurance and not letting me know ahead of time. AGAIN she asked me to talk to billing!!!! Like I said again and again to her, I dont care if I had to pay out of pocket. She didnt get that Im upset about the time Ive wasted sitting here when I couldve gone somewhere else!!!!!
I arrived before 5am to secure the second spot in line. I checked in at 8, then got seen
Best care! I checked in. Did some online forms, area was clean. The front desk was very kind. The medical assistant was wonderful. And Dr. Golu was GREAT! This place really cared for me and was very personable. I will definitely go back when I’m in a pinch on the weekends. Kudos team!
I cut my chin and Dr. Christine Gao and Assistant Vivian asked me to go to ER immediately for deep level sutures and x-rays. Such A++++ PROFESSIONAL SERVICE BY THIS AMAZING TEAM OF HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS!!!THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS YOU ALL I AM SO GRATEFUL FOR!!!!
Very nice visit. Arrived to have a persistent cough looked at. Front desk staff were courteous and professional. Paperwork was handled expeditiously. Wait time was reasonable: not rushed but not too long either. Doctor was attentive, asked all the right questions and offered a diagnosis/treatment that made sense; e.g. - no knee jerk defaults to antibiotics or something to take just for the sake of taking something. A nice experience. Would recommend AFC Urgent Care.
Good place to go when they’re actually open. They’ve closed during normal hours multiple times in the last few months due to doctor shortages. No warning, nothing on their website, etc. Infuriating and troublesome when you’re hurt and need an urgent care.
I came in and really should have taken my son to the hospital for asthma. The doctor was wonderful in stabilizing my son enough to get us to ER. She educated me on the lungs, and when I should go to ER as apposed to an urgent care. The staff was very nice and handle the urgency of my situation very smoothly and patiently. The environment was clean, and nice for patients and their families. The staff made sure to give patients good information on care and on billing.
Great staff from the front desk to the doctor.Very friendly staff; after my consultation I picked up my medicine at the wrong location so I called in the AFC front desk and she forwarded my prescription to an approved location right away. Great attitude and willingness to help. The doctor is very knowledgeable about my gout problem. She is the right person for the job.Highly recommended. Good place for a veteran like myself.Keep up the great work.
I visited AFC Urgent Care Bonita because I was experiencing mild-moderate chest pain and breathing discomfort. The check-in process was very easy. The waiting area was set up following COVID-19 safety guidelines so a few patients opted to wait outside or in their cars since the seats were limited. There were probably five patients ahead of me so my total wait time after checking in was a little less than a hour, which I find reasonable for a walk-in facility. The staff are all very professional and friendly. The FNP (S******n) who examined me was extremely empathetic and showed genuine concern in my symptoms while maintaining a positive mindset which instantly gave me peace of mind. I was prescribed a new inhaler and picked it up at the Ride-Aid across the parking lot right after my appointment. Overall a great experience if you are willing to be patient before you are seen. I can tell the team work as efficiently as they can to see as many patients as possible.
The wait time on Friday was an hour, it the overall experience was great!! The Dr, was amazing, friendly and quick not rushed but got the job done.
Horrible customer service they claim that they close at 8:00 p.m., We arrived at 7:05 p.m. and my daughter whats in lots of pain due to a toothache. They said that they are no longer accepting patients. I I do not recommend this place for any of their services!
My anesthesia didn’t work and and they kept going with the procedure. It was draining of a cyst, the doctor didn’t offer more anesthesia- she only offered to stop for a moment for me to get a “breather”. I was in obvious pain, I was yelling at points and crying uncontrollably. I have about 30 tattoos, I’ve never cried for any of them, I don’t have a low pain tolerance and when the Dr was done, she’s trying to tell me what the next steps are while I’m still crying uncontrollably- obviously didn’t care about my actual state or whether or not I’d process what she’s saying, which I didn’t. My discharge papers didn’t include one of the medicines she prescribed so when I showed up to the pharmacy, I was only expecting one and there was two. The medical assistants were lovely and although the Dr at the beginning was friendly, when it came to my state of pain- they didn’t seem to care much
Yes, go! If only I could give more than 5 stars...I was seen within 10 minutes of arrival. The doc, who simply introduced himself as Austin, listened to my concerns + he was very understanding. The staff was kind & friendly. The modest waiting & exam rooms were very clean & new. I appreciated the after visit summary that included vitals, diagnosis + copy of rxs.
We moved into this area from out of state this month, pretty much new to everything. I google searched urgent care center around the town and this place had the most scores on reviews, so we chose this place. My wife had urinary traction infection and we made a visit together at 8:06 a.m. Sunday because she needed English translation. It was our first time visit, so we didnt know what to expect. The front desk receptionist (black lady) was very polite and handled professionally. Our Doctor was a woman and she explained well about womens issue and friendly, too. Our arrival time was 8:06 a.m, one patient ahead of us, took us 20 min waiting at the lobby, total arrival to departure time was less than an hour. This may vary depending on how many patients are ahead of you.Overall, this is a good place to go without an appointment.
Im sad because my husband takes my step son here and usually has a good experience. I take my boys there too and on our last visit 2/23/20, the doctor was absolutely terrible. She barely came into the room. The office tech seems more compassionate and knowledgeable than the doctor, Jennifer Doumas, DO. My son had had a fever for 10 days in a row. She said he just needed to wait it out. She hadnt even examined him! She had no clue the tech gave my son a flu test! I had to tell her. She left the room and after a few minutes I went into doorway of the doctors office and the doctor was mapping a place online! So I asked her if she could tell me the results of the flu test. She then said she would be right in. When she came back into our room, I asked her to examine my son. Then she said he had some fluid in his ear but it was not severe. Needless to say I took my son to his practitioner the next day and he has a sever ear infection and he needed antibiotics! Anyhow, the AFC bill came in and it was $280! I hope the money goes to the tech and not the poor doctor. If we need to go back to urgent care, I will certainly be calling in next time to make sure Jennifer Doumas, DO, is not working that day!
Took my son into this urgent care and the staff were all friendly, I didn’t have to wait as long as I was told. The Dr was helpful and sympathetic. Would definitely recommend this place.
Our one-year old had a fever for 4 days, and I wanted to make sure his lungs were ok because there was a lot of RSV and flu going around, plus I was worried bc his fever wasnt going away. Our pediatricians office had a waitlist of about 15 people, so they recommended I take him to urgent care. So, I took him to urgent care. There wasnt a long wait. When we got in to see the doctor, he didnt even check my baby or his lungs. He just told me in a very serious tone, you need to take him to the ER, hes dehydrated. I tried explaining to the doctor that he had been making at least 4 wet diapers a day, but he didnt listen and just said I need to take him to the ER.I ended up taking him to Radys ER, and the doctor at the ER said he definitely wasnt dehydrated. Going to this urgent care was a waste of time and caused added worry, plus we got a pretty big bill in the mail. If youre not able to get in to see your pediatrician and are really worried about your child, take them to Radys instead.
The urgent care center is located in a nice shopping center and was easy to find. The office and patient rooms were well organized and clean. The wait time was extremely short and the staff were friendly. The doctor I saw was extremely caring and helpful. Im currently without insurance coverage so I paid cash but the rate was extremely affordable and it was my first visit so it should be even cheaper next time. Not one bad thing to say about this place in my experience.
Everyone was awesome. The office staff were friendly and helpful and the doctor truly listened to me. I will always go here for urgent care from now on.
This place is not good urgent care to go to especially on a weekend. My experience today was really bad. They only have a Physician Assistant (no ID badge, no white coat) who attended to me, seems like he does not know what he’s doing (looking confused). I asked him questions but he only returns my questions back to me (he even scratched his head in front of me). I have not gotten any good answers or any diagnosis from him. By the way, I went to this urgent care because I am having low blood pressure reading and symptomatic and also it’s after clinic hours. Then he requested for blood works, nurse came in, the usual looked for my vein, start poking me and never got any blood. Tried to look at the same spot, maybe to poke me again. The nurse excuse herself to get something, then I was thinking that I should just leave this place because seems like no one knows or not sure what they’re doing. I left the room feeling so upset, saw patients waiting in the lobby. I yelled out at the lobby that that place is not a good place to go to and that NO doctors available in that clinic on a weekend. What a day, I will never go back to AFC Urgent Care in Chula Vista. I ended up going to the Emergency Room.
Front office staff, X-ray tech and doctor were all friendly and professional. Overall pleasant visit.
I was impressed with the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. The facility was very clean. The wait was relatively short. The doctor had a good bedside manner. She was very knowledgeable, professional, yet down to earth. It was definitely a Five Star experience for me.
They were willing to take me in as the last patient of the night and gave me a much needed prescription. Very thankful for their help.
After waiting for an hour and a half to be seen on a Saturday, I was falsely informed that I was ineligible. I have gone to this facility in the past & have had the same insurance for 27 years, so I was confused. I called my insurance first thing Monday and was told there was no issue, I was covered and should have been seen. The woman at the front desk that day made no move to look deeper, I was told they could have easily checked the website and gotten clarification. In the past, while the wait was long, all staff was kind & the doctors were on point. I have mixed feelings now after my last visit there, so I give 3 stars.
The best and fastest urgent care Ive ever been to. From the time i checked in until i left was a total of 36 minutes. My actual doctor isnt even that fast when i have a appointment! The receptionist, nurses and doctor were super friendly and efficient. Ive told all my friends and family that if they need urgent care to come here!!!
Best urgent care Ive ever experienced!
Took my daughter there after another Urgent Care facility in Eastlake told me I could not take her because it was too late and they closed at 8pm (it was 7pm when I called!!!). I called AFC at 7:15pm and they too closed at 8pm. I was told that I could take her not a problem but they did want to advise me of the wait time. My daughter was seen and I want to say that all the staff was great. From the receptionist to the nurse assistant to the nurse practitioner. Thank you very much for actually taking patients in until closing time....
I have been here 3 times so far and every time I get in fast and the staff are so very friendly and caring. The doctors are so amazing they actually showed concern! and listened! and go the extra mile to make sure you get the care you need, after that you get a check up call a day or 2 later. AFC is The best urgent care in my opinion, I have been to many and ignored while trying to check in then wait for hours to see the doctor for just a few minutes! and rude doctors. AFC is a place I can trust and I recommend it to anyone!
I went in to see someone regarding my neck pain and I saw Nurse Practitioner Charles and he was great. My neck pain came from sleeping wrong, improper ergonomics and basically not taking care of my body as an athlete and it was nice to have someone who is also an athlete and understands my drive to get back to being an athlete. He suggested a lot of things that I can do for treatment instead of pain killers as I am pregnant. The staff from the front desk, to the nurse were great. Facility is clean and there was no wait at all. I went in at 5:30pm on a Saturday and I was expecting it was going to be so busy but it was not.
My first time experience was a wonderful one. All the staff was polite and sympathetic. Dr. Golu was the best physician Ive seen in an urgent. She listened to all my concerns and did her best to make me feel better. I recommend this facility to anybody if you have an urgency for care.
The experience here was great! Everyone was very nice! From the time of checking in to being discharged was very timely and smooth! Made it a great experience and was effective! Good team yesterday evening!
Zero stars, honestly. I called because I may be going blind. The DR (Brown) answered and said You shouldnt be calling and you have the wrong number, this is my home number I told him I called the number from the website. He continued to want to argue! Rude person.
I came here with my son about a month ago and had a wonderful experience. The doctor was genuinely concerned and avoided the ER that day. I would give it 5 except that my husband got there 5 minutes before closing today and was not received. So if its truly an urgency, go with that in mind.
I was very ill with fever and other concerning symptoms, I was referred here by the VA Healthcare and they took care of me right away. I had to wait for a few hours but overall the service was excellent. I was tested for COVID 19 as part of the routine check up and it was negative. Received the results via email. This location is perfect for me so I didnt have to drive to the VA ER at La Jolla that day, I couldnt drive a long distance with a high fever and body aches. I felt better the next few days following the recommended treatment. However, today on 10.8.20 I went back because I was sick again and the doctor who saw me said they couldnt help me and that I had to go to the ER. I basically got kicked out by the doctor without any further explanation and had to call the VA for assistance. The way this happened was unreasonable, for this reasons I changed my review and I dont recommend this place for Veterans.
This facility was expeditious, polite, and professional. It was the cleanest hospital Ive seen since leaving Orange Hills an relocating to Chula Vista. The wait time was nothing compared to other hospitals in the county. I was very impressed with the smooth way staff handeled my situation as I had to have multiple tests in various sections of the facility. Overall I would give a battery of ten stars yet they only go to five. Nurse Brennan and Nurse Julia were spectacular as were all the Doctors and xray technicians. Kudos to San Yisidro Health Center located on Third Avenue in Chula Vista. (Not to be confused with the Otay Lakes facility.) Sincerely,Melody Moreno
They open at 8, I came in at 830 signed in and everything in about 5 mins got called in for check up at 925 and I been waiting in a room for the doctor for about 2 hours. It got to the point where the light in the room turned off. I should of gone to the ER
We were traveling from Washington to Mexico when my husband developed an ear problem that needed attention. We chose this Urgent Care clinic. Everything about it was 5 star. The staff were quick, competent and friendly. They quickly had us back on the road. Could not imagine better service.
I had an emergency, I stepped on a metal wire that went through my shoe into my foot. The receptionist (best lady EVER!) came out and brought me a wheelchair and explained the prices thoroughly. I needed to make sure I was able to afford it. Watched some Guardians of the Galaxy while I waited, maybe 10min if that. Got a tetanus shot (I have a needle phobia) the nurse was nice and gentle, it was so fast I barely felt it. I totally recommend this urgent care, I went in dreading and in pain and I left smiling and feeling at ease!
I was referred to AFC through our insurance, Tricare Prime (active duty). Such caring staff members here! I felt like I had to call back to give them updates. Thank you so much for seeing/knowing the urgency of my daughter’s illness and calling the paramedics. The incident was our first experience, and now we know what to look out for. She is so much better now. Again, thank you so much!
My dad couldn’t breathe and they didn’t take him because they were full and closing soon. Not very urgent if you ask me. Then I asked where I could go as an alternative and they took a long time to bring up any alternative options. I pulled it up on my phone in 5 seconds so I walked out. They weren’t rude, they just didnt seem to care or see any importance in the situation.
I’ve visited this facility twice in the past week. The service was very quick and honestly, the staff members were really nice. After my first visit, I loved that they gave me a follow up call to see how the medication was working. They’re totally awesome!
Staff was nice a bit overwhelmed. One of them showed up and then left and came back don’t know what for but it delayed the process of patients being seen. I waited from 750-830 to be seen and I was the first patient of the day. And I was seen for all of 10 min to take weight and blood pressure asked a few questions then on to the exam room for another 5 min to be told you have the common cold. $129 for 15 min. Absolutely ridiculous. I can’t get health insure thru work because it’s not offered. And work needed a doctor note, mexico on a Saturday would have been horrible when your sick. I feel bad for the people after me as I heard it was gunna be a 3 hr wait
Awesome place I recommend it staff and doctor are great and so nice
After a rough patch and lots of challenges getting to our destination via a state approved negative Covid test—We thought we had to give up! Nope, Jessica and the staff at this location went above and beyond to get us taken care of, they are working around the clock and yet have the greatest customer service and attention to detail. We went to two others clinics in San Diego before coming here. No comparison. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Brittany and Raymond
It was quick and easy, the doctor explained everything and asked all my questions and concerns. Very helpful and very much appreciated
I went in today seeking help for a migraine I have had for 3 days. I was told at 11:30am that they were no longer taking new patients and was turned away. I understand there is an unexpected volume of Covid testing going on but this is not just a Covid testing site, it is an urgent care and other patients should be seen as well. I am still suffering with no help, no thanks to an unhelpful and impolite staff at this location.
I was referred here by the VA Healthcare.. Waited 2 hours + Overall it felt very Rushed once I was seen, No personal touch, visit was less than 1 minute with the Doctor if he was a Doctor Im not sure he did not have an ID Badge or Name Tag with a title. He might have been a Physicians Assistant. Again I wouldnt know because he did not introduce himself. He walked in the room rushed and said whats up, whats the issue Got what I needed for my issue I think? If you can make the extra mile to go to the VA it might be worth your time. if you need something local, just be mindful that time will me a lot less that what you are use to at the VA healthcare system.
The only 2 things i liked about this urgent care is that it is open during the weekends and it wasnt busy at all. I gave it a 1 start because my husband came in for stitches on his finger. In our opinion the doctor didnt do a good job. I think it could have used a few more stitches. There are large gaps in between stitches leaving tissue exposed. There is chucks of tissue sticking out and a small portion was not stitch. They were going to begin to stitch with out numbing it first. The doctor seemed very nervous and seems to have a hard time performing. They didnt know where the supplies were located. This experience made us feel uncomfortable and uneasy. It seemed the doctor hadnt done many stitches before or any at all. We are concerned about how it will heal and its been 3 days now.Update: its been a week now and i just received a bill in the mail for $400 for what i think is a botched stitch job. Not only did they not do a good job, they also wrote an incorrect prescription. They prescribed antibiotics for 10 days, 2xs a day but only wrote down a quantity of 10 pills. It should have been written as a quantity of 20 pills. Now i have this large bill that doesnt add up to the quality of work. How do you pay someone full price when the wasnt done correctly.
This place is do bad urgente care the staff is really rude they dont have compassion if you go to a urgent care is because you dont feel good, so I was the person no. 4 in the list take me 2 hours to se the doctor, she speak with me for 1 minute she say I need a flue test and covid test after that other wait and im still waiting someone come to make make test they say after that and other wait so really disappointing
First time patient. I walked in about 10 to be seen. I was checked in and in the exam room after 15 minutes of waiting. (Filling out paperwork) Was out by 11.30am to go pick up medications after. Doctor listened to my concerns and addressed every question I had. Staff at the front were helpful and friendly. I give this place 5 stars.
Visiting from TN for several months. Got so sick with URI, sinusitis etc. needed 3 trips to urgent care. Each time I was seen quickly by professional staff who cared about proper treatment regime and willing to work with my history. Great service!
The online appointment option is great. Staff is friendly and professional.
We did not wait long at all. Once in the treatment room the process was quick. The situation was stressful, but the nurse was very sympathetic and compassionate. Thanks for your service.
Adriana at the front desk was very helpful both on the phone and in person, Entire staff works together to get you in and out of there quickly.
It was a full house during my morning of urgent care visit. Staff was professional and very nice. They even passed out water to everyone in the waiting area. Jax was very nice, since the waiting room was full- I waited outside and she was so nice to walk outside to call me when my I was next. Thanks all.
I have been twice at this urgent care office and both visits have been excellent experiences. The staff is very kind and friendly and the doctors are very professional and helpful. It is good to count on a place where I can get medical attention without previous appointment.
From check-in to check-out everyone was great. The nurse practitioner Beverly was extremely thorough and patient. Thank you.
Wonderful customer service from everyone there. All staff was very sweet and respectful! Best Urgent Care experience Ive ever had.
I Pulled a muscle on my left knee , while riding my bicycle over the Fourth of July holiday. I was directed to go to this urgent care clinic near my house. The nurse on duty coupled with the front desk / customers service personal attended to me immediately . l was extremely impressed with service rendered. I would gladly recommend this place to my friends in case of any unforeseen minor and non life threatening emergencies.
While on vacation in California our toddler developed ear drainage. We took her here for evaluation as we knew from past experience she would need drops. We waited 1 hour to be seen after checking in (3 other people in waiting room). We then spoke with with a unfriendly nurse who took vitals and history and were moved us to a an exam room. 20 minutes later a provider came in to see us. She did not introduce herself nor wear any identification. She questioned if the female toddler or infant male was here to be seen. She then examined the toddler by looking in her ears and half way examining her lungs. She then said she would provide oral antibiotics and ear drops. She did no education on the type of antibiotics or length of use. We then went back to waiting room to wait 20 more minutes for her to “finish her note” and send rx to pharmacy. After reviewing she underdosed the oral antibiotics as they are based on indication and weight.Maybe my standards are high for healthcare. However, I feel an introduction should have occurred and some education as the provider did not know what our education level. Also, she only did half of an examination based on her symptoms. I would be cautious bring children here unless you have some medical knowledge.
The waiting room was pleasant and comfortable, and the wait was not too long. The nurse practitioner I saw was knowledgeable and helpful. My primary care physician has no one in her office for immediate help, so it is very nice to know that this is available if I need it.
Waste of time. Other than clean Lobby the service sucks. Friday about 4PM, Wife checked in for check up. 2 other behind her was seen first. Asked the desk why they were seen first, the clerk said, maybe somethings wrong with her paperwork. 1 page paperwork. Maybe?? When finally seen by NP or PA, Lung sound chk in the upper and middle lobe and not the lower lobe. Lung sound result was clear.. Wifes was having prolonged coughing issue with thick phlegm. Also, wife explained that she had an episode of accidentally swallowing her own salivahat went to the wrong tube. Wife was prescribed cough medicine and to come back if not better by Monday. Disatisfied. I took my wife to another nearby Urgent Care for second opinion.Thoroughly checked. Lung sound not clear. Chest Xrayed. Was told she has aspiration pneumonia and prescribed with 2 kinds of antibiotics. My wife is Registered Nurse.
This was by far the best urgent care Ive ever been to. All the staff was friendly and professional, and they saw me quickly. The clinic is clean and new, and they even do a follow up call to make sure you are well and have no further questions. I highly recommend this for your choice of an urgent care,
Friendly and professional staff. Was there twice last month. Once for myself and once to take my mother. They took great care of both us the wait was minimal. I will continue to use anytime I need urgent medical care.
MISJUDGMENT: I went in and explained all my symptoms and was seen fairly quickly (it wasnt busy). So I was crying in pain, waiting for the doctor and she came in and didnt even assess me she just asked me to explain my symptoms once again and concluded that I was only having an anxiety attack and they cant treat me there. I left and took myself to the ER where I was admitted to the hospital and spent 5 days there. 2 surgeries later I learned I have something scary going on 😑 Despite the nice service and friendly dimeaners they were to quick to judge a book by its cover, they should have done more. I realize now I was shaking my legs and crying in the room so it probably looked like I was on drugs because they all gave me that look and looked at each other like oh shes on one but you shouldnt look at someone and say this is wrong with you I cant help without even checking properly.
Couple weeks ago my little girl got sick, called all the Urgent Cares near us. When we called Doctors Express even on the phone they were so caring and made us feel at ease. When we got there we knew we made the right choicemail. The staff was amazing and helpful! We recommend Doctors Express!!!
I had a LHI appointment on 09/23/2020 at 08:00 A.M. I check in with AFC Urgent care in OTAY Lake RD @0800. I waited 50 minutes and I went to the fornt desk representative Darlene Garcia told her, I have been waiting for 50 minutes and you have not check my vitals or nothing. She said I am next line or I can reschedule through LHI. I told her that I have already did the reschedule. I told her that I wanted to file a complaint for unethical business practices and discrimination base on my skin color and race. I was only Asian in the room and they were taking care of white and Hispanic people before me. I told her that I want to talk to the management and Practice Manager Elizabeth Justich came to the front desk. She told there is complaint form here and gave me blank paper of printer. she told me write my complaints. I told her I am service member and I had appointment at 0800 and now it is 0850. I told her that I m being treated like walk-in. I had to experience discrimination and it ruin my day.
I pre-registered online. And it said to arrive at 549PM. I call to make sure and she tells me I need to physically drive there to get in line and wait an additional 2 hours. I said I have been waiting at home for 4 hours because that’s what it said. Hot mess.
Registration staff was quick and professional with the check in process. Dr. Dabrowski is the best! No nonsense, in and out, yet thorough!
This establishment is a joke. I was seen here under the mission act for the VA. Almost 2 years later I am getting a call that I’m going into collections for an unpaid balance because the provider is worthless and didn’t call in the authorization code for the VA to make payment to them. I’ve been to so many urgent cares using the mission act thru the VA and I have never had to deal with something like this. Do yourself a favor and Steer clear of this place.
Very efficient, compassionate, and friendly staff. Hopefully I wont need to be back anytime soon, but AFC is my first choice for Urgent Care.
The worst Urgent care I have even seen. I was there for two hours with breathing problems and one woman came in with makeup, earrings, perfume on, and nicely dressed no signs of distress. Sat down for about five minutes and asked to pay for co-payment then said I am having breathing problems. I was using my ProAir the whole time ; then when I heard she was next I told the girl at the front counter that I put down I have asthma and bronchitis and could not breath and was not feeling good. She said was next and thats when I said did you read my sheet and see what it said. After two terrible hours with no services I left. I would not go there ever again. I will go to the hospital next time and save on a co-pay from now on. The most screwed up services I have ever seen at that was my first time ever going there.
Wait time was decent. Staff was polite and friendly. The doctor was GREAT. She was caring, thorough, and she actually listened to and respected us. It was a great experience.
Real friendly and pleasant. Clean and fresh environment. Visit took a half hour max (including filling out forms, waiting, triage, and the actual visit with the physicans assistant). Oh and they take Molina Healthcare, if anybody was wondering.
AFC Urgent Care Chula Vista, these people were so awesome, specially now with the crazy times we are living. Jaz*** was very helpful and very friendly, I would say all the team at AFC are just great! Thank god my COVID-19 came back negative. Lets stay healthy and lets stay safe!
I was so happy that your clinic take my health insurance. But I can’t believe it that the doctor would not give me steroid medication for my health issue. The doctor gave me an ointment prescription for me to pick up at the pharmacy but non of the pharmacy has it. I know for fact that if the doctor gave me a steroid medication, the pharmacy has it. Seeing the doctor did not do me any good. I was told that I have to see my family doctor and the dermatologist when I get back to my home state. Thank you for accepting my health insurance but I wish you had a better doctor.
Long wait with only 1 other family in the waiting room, turns out, the receptionist couldnt find my insurance info. I finally had to go ask her about the long wait...AS the other family was going to the doc before me, and she said, oh yeah, I couldnt find your information, can I see your I.D. again?Once finally inside, the nurse (not an R.N.) took vitals, no smile, no Hi, Im nurse so and so, how are you today? Felt like MEPS for those of you who know what that is. Was taken to the exam room and waited another half hour, literally, for the doctor, who was only a P.A. Looked disheveled like he just woke up. Again, no introduction, just asked what was wrong, took my temp, listen to lungs, looked in throat etc., and said they would take a throat culture and abruptly left. Another 10 minutes later that first nurse took the culture, laughed, as did I, at my gag reflex. Never had such a painful throat culture taken. I think that should have been a clue something was wrong with me that they didnt catch. About 15 minutes later, Dr. Disheveled came back and said, well its not strep. So just keep taking the Advil, anything else? I replied no, thanked him and left. Its been 5 days and Ive gotten worse, cant talk, cant swallow, painful throat. Ill see a real doctor this time.
Would give zero stars if that was an option. I and my husband are from out of town! My husband had an infected eye and thought it was pink eye. We went to this facility for some medical care! The wait was long! After finally getting in they attempted to take my husband bp and after 3 times well lets say have not seen anyone take it that way!! We saw the doctor who was very nice and checked out my husbands eye and concluded conjunctivitis and prescribed drops! At this time he also had leasons on half his face as same as affected eye! Nothing was said I was not sure what caused it after all im not the doctor!Well needless to say after going home and putting these drops in my husbands eye we saw no change in 2.days amd getting worse. We were in the ER yesterday and the doctor took one look and said classic shingles! She asked me where he was diagnosised and I told her! She couldnt believe the missed diagnosis! She said the drops they gave him were useless! Now he is on proper medication and has to see an opthomogist today hoping there will.be no permanent damage to his eye!I would caution anyone going here for a proper diagnosis!
Clean facility and great staff. Both the nurse Areli and Dr. Dabrowski were really professional and made me feel comfortable. Highly recommend
The Staff & the Provider were extremely professional & treated me good. I felt heard & they are very kind.
The staff were all friendly and they helped make my experience quick, easy, and efficient. I just want to thank them for all that they do.
Went into this urgent care for the first time about a week ago, everyone there was very friendly. It wasnt too busy at the time and I was called in fairly quickly. Overall had a great experience there.
I injured my knee snowboarding so I came to this urgent care facility, waited over 2 hours just to be prescribed ibuprofen & taken an x-ray that wasn’t reviewed by an x-ray tech until a day later. I had to be off from work for a few days. I needed the physician to fill out a medical leave form but apparently they don’t do that here since they are privately owned. I suggest you go to a real Urgent Care facility that is properly equipped & staffed.
Took my daughter Saturday morning the receptionist was very helpful and nice, their was a 2 in a half our wait but the receptionist was able to call us ahead of time for we won’t wait in the waiting room
Put in my documents at 7 AM for their 9:30 slot. Arrived early. They just called us back now 12:06.
The facility was nice, clean and bright. The staff and Doctor was friendly and professional. Great experience.
Didnt have to wait long and everyone was helpful and friendly
Great customer service!! I was alone with my three small children and I was able to get a call when they were ready to see me so that we wouldn’t have to stay in the waiting area with potentially contagious patients. I was so thankful!
Actually 0 stars if thats possible. Ill start my mentioning I have worked in the medical field as a CNA. And this has been my worst experience with the field. After over 2 hours (which with urgent care I expect the wait, no big deal, Im patient) but after this wait I was seen by the rudest, most inattentive, snarky, useless dr Ive ever dealt with (and Ive dealt with a lot of doctors). She might as well of walked in handed me a antibiotic px and left. She told me to go to a family dr and have them deal with it. When I explained I live in Iowa and am only here for a month, I have insurance and can pay the copay, urgent care is a lot simpler than trying to find another provider, she kinda just hmphed. She wasnt even going to really look at my wound until I put it up to about chest level pointed and told her to. She was in the room for less than 5 mins, basically told me it isnt her job or her problem and then gave me an antibiotic. She also mentioned that if it gets worse I should look into going to the ER. Looks like I may try to be seen by a real dr cus she couldnt be bothered to earn her medical license.
Waste of time and money, paid a copay for the doctor to tell me I couldnt be examined here due to lack of imaging services, even though its listed as a provided service, told to seek care with my primary physician or at an emergency room if symptoms worsened. They couldve atleast turned me away prior to me paying a copay, very disappointing and would not recommend this place.
Local, went in for diagnosis of Mastoiditis given its new developments (at the time non-diagnosed). Clear signs such as the famous bumb behind the ear on the skull base, cold sweats with high temps sporadically and dull pain. While I understand this is not an ENT specialist facility, something about being told what do you expect me to do? ticked me off beyond comprehension. Regardless of professionalism, failure to even recommend diagnosis or prognosis had me question not only their ethics. Thankfully I dont pay a dime due to insurance, for if I had, I might have gone irate and let the staff have it. Go at your own waste of time(4 hours).
Waited 2 hours, paid way too much money, and didnt even see a doctor, only saw a physicians assistant, who doesnt know what they are talking about. An X-ray tech is doing the nurses job. You have to wait a long time at every step. Wait to register, wait to see an x-ray tech doing a nurses job, wait to see physicians assistant, wait for lab, wait again for PA, wait even more for the privilege of paying them lots of money.
I was amazed by the front desk worker. She has glasses brown hair, didnt catch her name but she so nice in helping me save.money. only bad thing was I saw a nurse practitioner not a doctor. Other then that, Ill continue going to UFC.
I took my son in 2 days ago for blisters around his mouth. The doc came in looked at it and said it was Hands, foot and mouth disease, proscribed an ointment to put on it. Today i took him to his primary doctor and he said NO they misdiagnosed him and it was no where near being Hands foot and mouth, that it was impetigo and put him on antibiotics. His primary couldnt understand why the urgent care doctor would diagnose him with that when he had no fever, or any of the other signs of hand foot and mouth and no other sores anywhere else. I dont know if the doc was in a hurry to get us out of there or just didnt care but I WILL NOT be going to this urgent again!!!
Very good customer service and only pros
Went in there feeling sick. They took me in Right away. Very friendly..got my test and results done within two hours. Love the staff and will go back if i need to.this Is our hospital
10, you guys are great! None, but thank you for your service!
Terrible!!!!!!! Was only patient in building. After waiting over an hour with 103 fever, coughing , couldnt barely breathe, I left and got treatment in Mexico. Never saw anyone come out of back. Receptionist kept saying someone would see me shortly...they never did. Found out I had pneumonia from doctor in Mexico.
Very nice, and empathetic professional receptionist! First impression is everything. Visit was fairly quick. Would highly recommend. Plus, they take Tricare & visit copay was only $28.
Very efficient, very smart staff and provider 😊
The staff were incredibly courteous and helpful, walked in and was greeted with what I assume was a smile, couldnt really tell with the mask. Overall great experience considering the circumstances. :)
The place was great. I came in with a broken wrist and they got me in quickly, x-rayed me and wrapped it in a splint. Id go there again for sure, though I hope the need does not arise any time soon!
Long wait but the customer service from Areli and the Doctor made up for it , I would recommend coming here if you can’t get into your doctors office
I recommend this place because I had a very pleasant experience with Areli. She made me feel comfortable the entire time I was there which is important to me, not to mention the clinic was clean and quick with their services!
Went in for what I believed was a super severe case of eczema on the bottoms of my feet and on hands. The doctor comes in, gets this startled look, and loudly announced, Wow! you have scabies!. Well I work in a prison, and have had scabies, trust me, this aint it. I tried to explain that to her but no joy. Today, two days later, dermatologist takes one looked at it and says, Hand, foot, and mouth disease. Primarily seen in kids, but adults can get it. If it had been treated right starting this past Saturday it would be clearing already, but there are now new lesions in your mouth that were need to address.. So she prescribed two steroids (oral paste and ointment) and my new scabies cream went straight in the trash. What a waste of my time and money. I wouldnt trust this place with anything exotic... flu symptoms, colds, minor burns and abrasions are probably more their speed. Buyer beware.
I take my daughter here when I cant wait 2 weeks to see her primary. there is never a wait, just call ahead and ask but no appointment necessary. this is a true hidden gem (as far as urgent cares concerned)
My wife had a wonderful experience thank you Areli for making the visit easy. The doctor was a able to diagnose her right away.will come back if needed.
Not at all what I had expected. Super clean office and I waited maybe 5 minutes before being seen. The receptionist was very sweet and Dr Sandra was nice and made me feel comfortable.
I came from Arizona, having a minor health issue that makes it difficult to sleep. Told not taking patients, and to call back later. What? How lame is this? Dont waste your time.
Came in with a broken fingerWas told new patients aren’t accepted after 6pmCame the next day at 4:15 and was told the radiologist already left and doesn’t accept new patients up until 3:30 pmI asked Ashley the receptionist why she didn’t inform me of this yesterday after I had made it clear I was returningI would’ve made an appointment but she told me it was walk in onlyAnd not only that would be too I would be charged twice over if I did want to get my finger checked out todaySo day two with a swollen finger, lots of pain yet still no medical treatmentIf I had enough money I’d just go somewhere else but I don’t
Love the professionalism from Tanya.. She is awesome ,has good attitude, good medical skills. Overall place is clean organized and defenatly will recommend AFC URGENT CARE CLINIC .. to anyone who wants to get tested for covid 19
Felt like the doctor just wanted me out of there. Just a urine test and nothing for my pain just a attitude of it’s not my problem anymore, “but if it gets worse go to the er” then just sent me on my way with nothing else, a quack doctor
I was happy that Dr Tom gave me antibiotics needed and ear drops for my inner ear problem that Ive been suffering for over the past 8 days. Thank you!
Awesome service! I had to bring my son here twice in one week and both times all staff were incredibly caring and attentive.
They close at 8:00 pm and I was there at 5:30 pm. They said doctor reach to capacity. They can not except any more Patient. Even I called 4 pm to confirm until what time they are open.
Great overall existence by entire staff. Walked in at 7:30pm desperate for answered about my instantaneously lost voice. I was seen in order and without a long wait. All my questions were answered, I felt heard and not rushed, and even cared for. I would return
This has got to be the worst urgent care on earth. Doctors are worthless and the staff especially the girl at the desk Veronica is extremely careless and lied to me telling me she was the manager. She isnt the maanger shes a scum bag and doesnt know her head from her butt. I know for sure I will never use this place as long as I live. I hope they close down.
Without overstating the details, FNP Sandra Turnbull, at the Chula Vista AFC, quickly and accurately accessed my condition, directing me to immediately head to the ER. Without her care, along with that at Sharp ER, I may have succumbed to my condition. THANK YOU!!
I called this site for a COVID test, they told me to just confirm with my insurance that they paid for it and then to come right in. I showed up and they turned me away saying there were no appointments available. They did not mention that I needed an appointment.
This was our first visit. From the moment we walked in the staff was helpful. We were seen quickly and the Dr was thorough. I will definitely use AFC again.
Rated for Covid Test: took forever to get in. And takes 5+ day to hear back if you have Medi-Cal. Two stars because you can atleast walk in.
My experience here was wonderful! I was feeling horrible and thanks to the speedy service and convenient location I was able to get in and out quickly. Thanks to Bri and Gabby for the warm smiles and friendly hospitality!
Easy peazy, efficient care. Great location, professional staff for expedient solutions!
I have come here many times and the staff is always professional kind and prompt do feel comfortable here the secretary is super sweet and kind
My daughter had fever. They said they checked my daughters eligibility and said her insurance was not active. I called insurance in front of them insurance verified coverage on speaker. We left to childrens hospital.
Staffs are very kind and helpful, knowledgeable and gave me right action for my health problem. Thank you so much, I greatly appreciate it!
Exceptional service. I walked in the door and was immediately escorted to an examination room. Received medical attention and was in and out in less than two hours. Great job by everyone.
Nurse was not nice and waited forever. Doctor was great once we saw her.
Worst experience Ive ever encountered. They forgot that was even in the room and made everything worse instead of treating me. The nurse didnt even administer a shot right and now Im having to visit another doctor to correct it. Worst treatment ever.
This place is a joke... We were charge for a service we didn’t receive! Go somewhere else! Do not waste your time and money there, but more importantly do not put your health at risk by trusting these people.*Sharp urgen care will be a better option*
The wait was great, the facility was clean and the PA was awesome!
The doctor said that 2nd test on Covid is useless for 3 months after anyone got positive on Covid. Failed to get 2nd test here 2 weeks after 1st test.
The doctor I saw was so understanding and attentive and heard me out. All I ask for but its hard to come by. Would definitely recommend.
My son had a covid test Tuesday and I called Friday. The lady said its too early to check. It will not be available until the 5th business day. Dont go here if you want a rapid result.
Love this spot always have you have the best staff really love the treatment Ive received from Tanya the blue hair girl so awesome I just took my kids for covid testing and she had me in and out so comfortably and quick thank you Tanya T
Came in yesterday and the experience was great, everyone was friendly and faced paced. I loved it and I will definitely be coming back!!!
Staff was very professional and courteous and doctor that treated me was absolutely great. He listened patiently and was great at explaining everything with detail.
Staff is more concerned of leaving while still on the clock, and nurses didnt know how to send prescription which took 2 days and 2hrs just for the pharmacy to get prescription from this office.
Staff was great friendly. Loved being able to wait in my car while waiting to be seen.
Excellent care!!!I was help for the wonderful staff right on time!!!! I feel much better thanks to all of you ....!Happy holidays
Recently had a visit here, staff was super quick and efficient, Areli was very professional and helpful. Great customer service
Wonderful facility, I was seen quickly on a Friday afternoon and they were incredibly helpful, friendly, and made me feel very reassured about my concerns, will definitely come back again in the future if needed.
Fast and effective.Thank you!
They dont seem to be able to bill people correctly. Also some of the staff has quite a bit of attitude. Also the wait is very long so I dont know why they say express.
Excellent attention, people always nice and friendly, great doctors great place if you need a doctor. Access hours great. Definitely I will recommend this place.
Even though there was a 3 hour wait the staff was always polite and sympathetic. Taking phone numbers so we could wait in our car was appreciated.
Covid testing was quick, I got there a bit before 12 and had a hour and a half waiting time, but it was worth it for the 15 minute testing instead of waiting for 2 days.
The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. I recommend it very highly!
Dr.Julie Keeler was amazing ! Knowledgeable and caring. The only one thing is thy took their time to register me in their system.
