Inaccurately charged for an appointment with services I did not have done. Spoke with numerous people in billing and the department about the incorrect balance and was updated 1 time in the past month that it is still being addressed. As this was my first time at this location, I am hesitant to ever go back.
Midwife refused to do any testing that I requested. The testing she agreed to do took 10 weeks to come back with abnormal results. I’ve sent messages on MyChart and called in TRYING to discuss these results. They said someone will return my call “at the end of the day today.” That was 3 days ago….just sent another message on MyChart since the one I sent on 9/27 was read but ignored. Go elsewhere.
The doctors are great, which is the only reason they get 3 starts, but I have had nothing but issues with administrative side of this practice. This is an impersonal operation as the administrative side manages multiple groups and the lack of cross-function communication is evident. Ive had repeat issues scheduling an appointment (pre-COVID and during), been inconvenienced by the actions of staff who process samples and the lack of communication between the individual group and billing department. For urgent matter appointments, the availability to be seen has so far been anywhere from one week to four weeks out and one of these times the scheduling group suggested I instead go to an urgent care (for a V.infection, when I have a gynecologist?) They have always been nice people, but this is not acceptable. Ive been able to be seen within a few days, once Im able to get a nurse on the phone.I had an issue with my samples not being processed correctly (system was down, but the process should be seamless considering this is OSU) and had to return to the office for a repeat test. I was told I would NOT be charged for the second office visit as it was their mistake, however, my insurance was billed for both appointments and Im being charged for the remaining balance of both appointments. Ive now had to message the billing group to explain why the second appointment must be removed. It should have be set up or communicated internally not to bill me for the second visit.
I have been going to the Center for Women’s Health for 8 years and have never been so unsatisfied as I have this past week. I switched pharmacies and needed an authorization from the Dr. office to switch to express scripts. I have called 5 times and my medication is still on hold. I made them aware everytime that I was out of my diabetes medication and It was urgent that the pharmacy transfer was approved. I asked to speak to a manager, I was told they were busy but a nurse would look at the authorization at their earliest convience. I still have not gotten a call back or authorization. I am extremely dissatisfied with their lack of patient care.
Id like to start off by saying that Jennifer Dush is amazing. Shes knowledgeable and is a great nurse practitioner. However, if you need anything from anyone in the office and you dont have an appointment, it is impossible to reach anyone. The only option to speak with someone is to leave a message on the nurses line. If they call back at all, it is at least 3 days later. I have called with questions concerning prescriptions a handful of times with the same results each time. I work in the medical field and understand the process and know that this is completely unacceptable. For this reason, I will be finding a new practitioner.
My wife had lingering covid symptoms of a tight chest after 2.5 weeks, so no longer contagious, and they recommend she come in to get checked. Then the doctor said they could not see her TO LISTEN TO HER CHEST because it was potentially covid related. Because these doctors refused to do their job, my wife had to go to the emergency room for a non-emergency and instead of us being covered for a doctors visit we are now stuck with a $1200 bill for a non-emergency visit that we HAD to go to because the doctors would not do their jobs. Doctors not willing to help anymore and a medical community that now wont see someone due to a cough. Thanks for helping my family now financially strain to pay for a check up that is classified as an emergency.
I was literally told by the doctor that she didnt know why I was having the problems I have, that I have too many co-morbidities (common ones), and take too many pills (Rxs I need) for her to know what to do.I went there because I have hashimotos and have had some bizarre panel results. She said she completely didnt know why, and proceeded to order the bare minimum, bog standard insufficient thyroid tests with some basic canned advice. Im a scientific researcher by trade and learned more in a half hour search through peer-reviewed journal publications than the young doctor seemed to know. Also my numerous and not uncommon comorbidities, along with their associated medications, made it too complicated for her? Seriously? My PCP and obgyn are more helpful than the endocrinologist was. And yet they refered me because they felt it was necessary to get specialist expertise -- not a doctor who couldnt remember a thing about the nervous and endocrine systems. Oh, and I waited 10 months to get in for this. They werent even supposed to fit me in, but my PCP managed to pressure them into giving me an appt.... after I had already waited 4 months and hadnt been contacted to schedule. Such a waste of time.Update, its been over a month and the endocrinologist still hasnt gotten back to me regarding my test results. They were posted to OSU my chart weeks ago, but she said she would message me with what to do next when she got them. Disappointing.
Amazing experience with the staff. I was seen almost right away once I was checked in. Everyone is friendly. I like the location lots of free parking. It is lot parking. Check in on the first floor then go to the fourth for your appointment.I had my prenatal visits with the Midwives of OSU. You can choose to just see one throughout your pregnancy. All of them are great. Though you do not get a choice of which midwife delivers your baby as they are on On Call shifts. No big deal for me.
As a patient of OSU James Cancer Center, I also wanted to establish with the Women’s Center for care. Upon calling I was told that they couldn’t see me until July (5 months from now) unless I had a referral...... referral from where? My family doctor...... spend more money for my doctor to send over a referral to them for routine gynecological care smh 🤦♀️. And why should that make a difference in getting me in sooner..... can’t wrap my head around this. I have been sooooo very please with OSU up until this point.
I have always received great customer service and good care. The facility is super clean, and appointments seem spaced out as it is never crowded and this was particularly good in covid times. I get follow up calls and good support from docs and nurses.
Really disappointed in calling today to see if any of the PCPs where accepting new patients & was asked if I take more than 3 medications. I do because I have a heart condition but the PCP would never have to treat me for that, I have a specialist. But apparently that doesnt matter because when I answered yes I was told no one would see me. So if I take more than 3 medications Im too much of a hassle to be a patient? Not sure that was in the Hippocratic Oath.
The care I’ve received from the team at the Center for Women’s Health has been consistently outstanding. It’s wonderful when medical professionals are incredibly smart and amazing at what they do, but are also compassionate and truly listen. Thank you!
I would highly suggest finding somewhere else. They just want insurance money and don’t actually care about the patients.
Nasty office staff. Im not surprised by the negative reviews. That kind of nasty is from the top down.
Doctors and very slow to respond to you and even at that dont seem like they know what they are talking about half the time
