We have been with Oakleaf for 6 years and through two children now. Im honestly surprised to see their star rating isn’t higher. In that six years, we have had dozens of appointments, multiple referrals and way too many late night panicky calls with sick kids. They have always been patient, informative and compassionate. Appointments are typically brief and to the point, but Ive never left feeling like my concerns weren’t addressed and taken seriously. When we have more immediate need for an appointment, they have always been able to get us in same day. I have dealt with a lot of terrible health care over the years but Dr. Jensen and everyone at Oakleaf have been a bright spot.
Under the care of Dr. Jensen, my daughter was instructed to get a flu vaccine fall of 2023. In the spring of 2024, due to mismanaged records by Oakleaf, we were told she hadn’t received a flu vaccine and was instructed to get another one. It was later discovered, and Oakleaf admitted to the mistake.Medically, I have been told this is no issue. However. Oakleaf and Dr Jensen get 1 star as they billed on the inappropriately applied flu vaccine.
Very mixed experience here. First visit was quite good - I appreciated that it’s more of a common sense and personalized experience than at some of the other larger clinics in the area. However, they do ask very personal questions such as if there is a “father figure” in the home - I can’t help but wonder if the fact that I am a young single mom (never mind that I am a registered nurse working 40+ hours a week and not on Medicaid) is the reason that Dr. Schlimgen entered the room without washing her hands and then proceeded to touch the inside of my son’s mouth without gloves on, in addition to interrupting me twice despite my trying to be friendly and helpful and the fact that my son was well behaved during the visit. Not saying it was 100% intentional, but I agree with one of the other reviewers here that if you are not more upper class, then you will not be looked at or treated quite the same. And hey, I get that I am a young single mom, but this is about my son - he deserves a better experience than that.
I’ve experienced great care but nosy where it’s not needed for a doctor.
By far, it is the best clinic I have been to. Absolutely wonderful docs and nurses ( especially Megan and Erica ). Listen to and take into consideration any concerns a patient has. Wont quit until they get to the root of the problem.
We love Oakleaf! Lindsay Wayne is the best! We moved from a large city and we loved our pediatrician there.... we are grateful we found Oakleaf and Lindsay. She listens to our concerns, takes her time, and answers all of our questions no matter how trivial. The facility is new and most importantly clean! Go see the folks at OakLeaf, you wont be disappointed.
Dr Jensen and Lindsay Wayne are two of our favorites! We have went to other Clinics and Oak Leaf is second to none! Nice to be able to call and get an appt when you need it the most! The facility is clean and the staff are all very nice!
The doctors here are great with kids. The nurses are nice and when you call they are quick to get back to you about any questions or concerns. Its easy to make a appointment that isnt gonna be a month away.
Dr. Jensen and everyone we have encountered at Oakleaf Pediatrics is professional, warm and demonstrates a genuine care for our sons health and development. I feel secure knowing that our son will have excellent healthcare through any and all challenges he may have as he grows up.
THE best clinic hands down!! I refuse to take my kiddos anywhere else. Nichole Marty and Lindsey Wayne are amazing at what they do!! The office staff and nurses are awesome as well.
Oak leaf peds is fantastic! One of the most beautiful and kid friendly waiting rooms and they are SO quick at getting you seen on time. Dr Jensen is great!
Has anti vaccination employees. When confronted about it, refused to communicate further. Despicable to call yourself a place of medicine.
They listen to me about my problems. And referred me to some of their specialess.
They only accept a few Badger Care patients per year- pretty bourgeoise and classist. But if you’re into that, go ahead and make an appointment.
Kid friendly environment, very open and entertaining waiting room, great doctors with great care received.
