I worked with Dr. Kalan to freeze my eggs. He was an excellent doctor who I felt was knowledgable, patient, and attentive to my concerns. I felt comfortable and respected by him. His office staff was also responsive. I trust him very much and have full confidence in him. Additionally, he had a nice clean office. Highly recommend him.
Our experience with Dr. Kalan was nothing short of incredible. From our first meeting, there was something special about him that put us at ease. Pursuing IVF can be such a difficult journey, physically, emotionally, and financially, but Dr. Kalan’s confidence in his expertise and his emotional intelligence became two unwavering pillars that kept us afloat in obtaining pregnancy success with our third transfer.Every step of the way, Dr Kalan brought an unprecedented level of warmth and attentiveness to his approach. We never felt rushed at our appointments as he always took the extra time to answer our questions and made himself available after office hours. He also brought a sense of humor that put us at ease and made us feel at home with him and his team.On the subject of his team, they matched the bar Dr. Kalan set and were always on top of our needs throughout the journey. We specifically worked closely with Maggie who is amazing and detail-oriented, ensuring a smooth process. With Dr. Kalan and his team, it never felt like an appointment, it felt like we had a family of people who were right there by our side on the journey. We were sad to say goodbye on our “graduation” day, but will forever be thankful that Dr. Kalan helped our dream of becoming parents come true.
Dr Kalan is the most amazing doctor I have ever had! He truly cares about his patients and I cannot say enough good things about him. I wish I could see him throughout my whole pregnancy! But he is so amazing and he is always there for any questions or concerns I have. Thank you Dr Kalan for being an exceptional, caring doctor!
Dr. Kalan is a fertility Superhero! He is kind, extremely knowledgeable, patient (this is rare in fertility docs) and treated us like he truly cared about our success. He got to the bottom of our fertility issues and created a customized plan for us that ended in success. We are forever grateful to him and his team. I couldnt recommend him more.

Please, whatever you do, find a different practice — your fertility and ability to build a family is far too important. I’ve been to a lot of different fertility clinics (we’ve moved a lot, and dealt with years of fertility struggles) and have never seen a practice that’s so disorganized, chaotic, and uncaring — working with Dr. Marc Kalan was frustrating but more than that, heartbreaking. We only got one embryo and the donor never donated again, she had such a bad experience. Trying to stay positive, I chalked that up to bad luck and circumstance. The pandemic hit and so we had to leave LA to go east, but Marc insisted he do the transfer back in LA. While we were gone we interfaced with his staff, who never seemed to know where we where or *who* we were — after paying them upwards of $30k, they’d call me by the wrong name, and instruct me to come into the office when we’d literally spoken the day before about me being on the other coast. It felt like I was interfacing with an Arby’s where they couldn’t get my order right — only this ain’t sandwiches, it’s my fertility. I should have stopped it there but I was trying to remain positive and trust Dr. Kalan. Finally, after months of shots, acupuncture, prayer and preparation we flew to LA during the pandemic for the transfer, where I asked him why he hadn’t performed the saline test he’d mentioned previously. “Whoops!” He said. Whoops? He’d forgotten. Thousands of dollars, travel, injections and stress and he’d forgotten a very basic part of this job. In doing the test that day he learned there was an obstruction in my uterus, so instead of doing the transfer, he said I now needed surgery. Terrified and sad, the next day we came in for a blood draw to prepare for the surgery and, upon arriving at hour hotel, got a call from his staff — they forgot to draw the right amount of blood. And that’s when I was done. Nothing — and I mean nothing — was done correctly at LARC. If they can’t do a basic blood draw, how can I let them put me under anesthesia? I flew home immediately and went to an OBGYN in my hometown… who told me there was no obstruction. So even that was incorrect. I had the embryo sent east and had a lovely experience at a different clinic. Dr. Kalan’s office refused to pay for travel, apologize, or take responsibility for any of their mistakes. Please, go elsewhere. I wish I had. I’ve had a miscarriage before — working with Dr. Marc Kalan was worse.
Dr Kalan was amazing! He took the time to listen and to understand my issues. I would recommend him to anyone.
This doctor is amazing! He’s a good listener, caring and funny. He has this good vibe energy. I was very comfortable during my first visit..
