Such a disappointing experience. We went through Denver Fertility for IVF and they are storing our embryos. We paid April 1st for the next 12 months. We received a portal message September 16th that they doubled the cost of billing and would now owe that same amount again in TWO WEEKS (October 1st). First, we paid for a year up front. Asking someone to now pay double the amount is insane. Second, when I voiced my concerns I was assured someone would get back to me. Ive called several times and have not been able to speak with anyone. Asking someone in two weeks to make a decision about what to do with their embryos as well as expecting anyone to get the necessary paperwork in order in that time (everything must be notarized) is unacceptable and in my opinion unethical. Please do not set yourself up for the stress of working with people who treat their clients this way.
THIS IS THE HORRIBLE PLACE TO GO. I have spent 1 year for nothing. We was a self pay and we paid $ 70,000. I had 2 egg retrievals and got only 1 healthy embryo which ended up of failed transfer. They encouraged me to do a mock cycle which didn’t make any sense. My ERA came back normal. They put me on 3 months of Lupron. Once I completed all steps that they have told me I did a Transfer and it failed. My HCG was 5. It didn’t implant at all. Dr. Ambler does not care about the patients! All she cares is about money. It doesn’t matter for her if your transfer failed or not. Also, it’s really hard to reach to the front desk. They never pick up the phones. They seem busy but when you walk in to clinics just 1-2 people is there. When I asked them to send me my medical records to my email they want to me pay for it! UNBELIEVABLE. I have paid for all those testing and at the end I have to pay again to get my results? Excuse me??? Also, at the beginning when we started our journey they charged us double of amount. It took us a months to take care of it.The only positive thing is the nurses are kind and they care about the patient!WE ARE CHANGING THE CLINIC!
Wouldn’t recommend anyone else but Dr. Ambler and her team! I’ve done IVF 4 times and now freezing my eggs for the second time. I’ve seen every reproductive endocrinologist in this state and her and her team have by far the best bedside manner and compassion. Dr. Ambler has excellent results and cares about her patients. The nurses are actually kind and considerate. This is the only place I’d recommend if wanting to grow your family.
Like many, my husband and I have embarked on a journey to parenthood filled with uncertainty and challenges, however, we could have not done this without the support of Dr. Ambler, our coordination nurse Kristin Hesse, and the extended team at Denver Fertility Care. If you are reading this, I hope our review our experience, provides clarity to choose Denver Fertility Care.1. Expertise of Medical Staff:Throughout this process, I have learned so much from Dr. Ambler and have valued her point of view as we weighed our decisions through the entire process. She is personable, direct, and data oriented.Additionally, the medical staff was available to answer all and any questions. I never felt that my questions were dumb, or that I was given a condescending response.2. Patient Experience:I felt very supported and organized through the entire process. You are assigned a coordination nurse, that will help you coordinate appointments, medications, and answer questions along the way. Our main nurse Kristin was fantastic and so were the other nurses we interacted with throughout our time there. The patient portal was very easy to use to schedule appointments and communicate with the nurses.3. Cost and Affordability:The team is very transparent in pricing for consultations and procedures. What I found extremely helpful was, they provided a questionaire template that you can use when you take to your insurance company. There were questions on there I wouldnt even know to ask.4. Post-Treatment Care:The nurses were top notch with follow-ups and monitoring after procedures. There are plenty of resources available including an in-person medication training and referred acupuncturists, nutritionists, andWe look forward to continuing our journey with Dr. Ambler and her team. While our journey may look different from others, I am would recommend Dr. Ambler over and over again for anyone in Colorado.
Highly recommend! After doing my research i went with DFC and couldn’t be happier. I had friends leave one of the other national “best in the country” options and am so glad i chose DFC. We got pregnant on our third IUI and the staff was incredibly supportive and informative throughout. They answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns. They listened to my plan and ideal timing/approach and never pushed me one way or the other throughout, but rather listened and informed me of my best options. So grateful I found them and excited to welcome our little one this coming March!
I want to give Denver Fertility Care better review because the nursing team was great. Unfortunately, their billing department is so poor it makes it impossible for me to recommend the team to anyone. I was diagnosis with breast cancer and prior to receiving treatment froze my eggs. I am not likely a typical patient and can appreciate that challenge. Regardless of the situation, it seems appropriate to be able to get in touch with the billing department. It has taken over a month and multiple outreach attempts by different people in my care team still we have been unable to get a call back. This is not the only issue with had will billing.
Terrible experience. The coordination of care fee is is joke. First, they sent all of my prescriptions for the IVF medications to an Out-of-Network pharmacy. Right before I was about to pay, I asked the pharmacy why the medications were so expensive and they informed me it was because they were out-of-network with my insurance. What is the point in paying the expensive coordination of care fee if they are just going to send the prescriptions to whomever they pick!? I wonder if they get kickbacks from this pharmacy. When my husband had to come in and leave his sperm, theThe day of my surgery, after I went under and came to in the patient room, the nurse started shooing me out immediately. I sent a message to my husband right as I came to and before she came in, and within 10 minutes I was out of there! The person I talked to the day before to set expectations for the surgery said they would give me ample time, 40 minutes, to gather myself and fully wake up. Not the case at all! The nurse immediately asked how I was and if I was ready to get up and get dressed. I said I needed a moment. She got me some water and while I was taking my second sip, not even two minutes later, she asked if I was ready to start getting dressed. After pushing myself to get dressed, she walked with me down the hall and out the door. The whole time I was loopy and literally swaying and stumbling as I walked! It was like they had to get me out quickly so they could get the next patient in. Set aside more rooms instead of rushing your patients out the door who are just regaining consciousness! Our fertilized eggs did not make it. Dr. Albretch said they should have let my eggs develop for a few more days before extracting them so they would have been better quality and had a better chance. And in the next breath said basically no refunds, no do-overs Whos fault is that, that they should have let my eggs develop a bit longer? Not ours! What was the point of getting poked and probed and putting my hands in professionals just to hear them say Our mistake, we should have waited to have given you a better chance. Oh, and before you ask, no do-overs!This whole process felt like a money grab while I felt like just another patient on a conveyor belt. Get in, get our money, get out, and no baby. This is the second fertility place weve been to and they all seem to have this underlying gross energy of one-size-fits-all care and a money grab. I hope this helps someone else. Its nasty out there. Good luck to anyone trying to get pregnant.
THEY DELETED OUR REVIEW. They delete bad reviews. Very bad experience. DR.DANA robbed us. Very unprofessional. Spent 1 year and $60,000 and no results. At the end she said oh we can’t do anything. Was very very rude.
I started my journey of becoming a mother 5 years ago. After 2 lost pregnancies I was giving up hope. Dr. Albrecht and his team of nurses not only gave my husband and I hope but I can say I am currently 3 months pregnant! Dr. Albrecht’s kindness helped me more than I can ever put into words. I HIGHLY recommend working with these wonderful, wonderful people. 💜
Dr. Ambler and her team are caring, empathetic, extremely knowledgeable, and professional. My husband and I just conceived our first child with them doing IVF. The process can be overwhelming but because their team is so good, I had every question answered and felt totally supported. I honestly can say that working with them was a lovely experience. I’m so thankful for them and their help through our fertility journey. We can’t recommend Dr. Ambler and her team enough! We look forward to working with them again when we are ready to have our second child.
Dr Albrecht is the most caring doctor I’ve ever had. He is so knowledgeable and always goes above and beyond to make sure we understand every step of the process. We were with the clinic for over a year, from IUIs to IVF, and we finally have our baby on the way. Some of the process can be a little frustrating but overall we had a wonderful experience and loved everyone at the clinic. I would never choose another clonic. We will be back for our next baby!
I have been to two other fertility clinics, and I have never felt more supported or encouraged as I have here. Dr. Albrecht is so kind, warm, and intelligent. He very clearly knows what he’s doing. He listened to me and my concerns and he met me where I was at. The nurses are so sweet and their communication is efficient. I love this place and recommend it to anyone who needs these services.
Dr. Ambler and team have been so wonderful during our IVF journey. I’ve seen a lot of RE physicians over the years and she strikes a great balance between professionalism and compassion. I also love how easy the communication with the nurses is through the patient portal. They are so quick to respond! We are happy to be moving on to the next chapter and are grateful for their skill and expertise.
Im currently 20 weeks with our IVF baby after working with Dr. Ambler. The doctors and nursing staff are wonderful, and communication through the portal was super responsive when I had questions. Scheduling and billing staff can be more frustrating as there is more disorganization on this side. Overall, were happy we worked with this clinic!
Had a very pleasant visit with this clinic (rose location) for fertility testing and the staff was lovely and helpful. They made me feel comfortable instantly, were very professional and knowledgeable. I had zero wait time - in fact - they worked me in early bc I happened to be there early and the appointment was super quick and efficient. I would definitely recommend!
My husband and I had an amazing experience here at Denver Fertility Care. Dr. Ambler went above and beyond to make us feel like we were in the best hands. She and her team of nurses (Ally & Monica) were so thorough, responsive and showed kindness and patience throughout our experience and with all my questions. We went through two cycles of IUI and we are successfully 14 weeks pregnant. We couldn’t thank Dr Ambler and her team enough for this gift!
Dr. Dana pushes you towards natural way of trying to conceive. So if you are seeking for ivf, she may not be your best option. She is passionate in finding and diagnosing your case, I do give benefit of the doubt on that. Her nurses both the monitoring nurses and IVF nurses are great. However her remaining admin team , specially the billing team is very weak. If you have a good fertility insurance, Denver Fertility Care is not the place to go. It seems like they have never dealt with a good fertility insurance. It was very difficult to deal with them when identifying what the estimate of costs would be with insurance coverage, they kept pushing us showing their self pay cost sheet, and didnt cooperate with our insurance in trying to understand whats covered under the insurance and whats not. I tried to get in touch with the billing team (they only have 2 people in their billing/finance team, and very hard to get in touch with), but I couldnt get any response, so the doctor directly started responding to my billing queries (and was completely wrong about my coverage as I was cross verifying my coverage with my insurance). She is the most cold hearted and uncooperative doctor, she doesnt value the patients that come to her clinic and gets irritated very easily. She needs to know how to deal with her patients respectfully if she wants her facility to do well in the long run. Denver Fertility Care clinic has no culture and no value to the patients and its very disappointing.
Denver Fertility made my dreams of becoming a mother come true. We have a 2 year old daughter and we are trying again for our second. We cant say enough good things about them!
Our experience with this fertility clinic has been nothing short of a nightmare. Not only did they fail to meet basic standards of competence, but they also managed to mess up our treatment cycle not once, but twice. The sheer incompetence, poor communication and apparent lack of empathy displayed by the staff has left us frustrated and emotionally drained. A review of my chart did not happen until the day of the regroup appointment, which revealed missing blood draw tests that were not communicated to us beforehand. This caused the appointment to be rescheduled and the start of our treatment to be prolonged for several weeks. The first mistake was bad enough, but the fact that they repeated another error in failure to review our chart in the leadup to a scheduled surgery (causing the surgery to be cancelled) demonstrates a shocking lack of attention to detail and a disregard for the time sensitive nature of fertility treatments. I cannot in good conscience recommend this clinic to anyone seeking reliable and compassionate reproductive care and highly recommend going elsewhere.
UPDATE: I was contacted by a representative in the Marketing department due to my negative review. Renee listened to me and the frustrations I have been dealing with and took it upon herself to resolve the issue. It is clear to me that she cares about this business and wants to help build their online reputation back up from all of the negative reviews. I rely heavily on reviews myself, and we all know how frustrating it is when you can’t trust whether reviews are real or not. I’m choosing to change my initial rating of 1 star to 4 stars because insurance is a nightmare, afterall, and every business has issues at some point, but if they’re willing to take extra steps to ensure a satisfied customer, that says a lot. Regarding my secondary complaint of not being told about an extremely painful procedure in advance, it sounds like that doctor is no longer there, so perhaps that is for a reason, I’m not really sure. Renee expressed many times that she hopes that I will give them another chance, they would love to earn back my trust and business. I am choosing to not give 5 stars because I have spent so SO many hours fighting the billing issue for the last year and a half, and I can’t get that time back, nor can I get back emotionally what the painful procedure did to me. Not to mention, I am confident that I did not owe what they are billing me for anyway, so what am I really getting out of this other than a “we’re sorry” and a promise that if I ever come back, things will be better? If I go back and have a wonderful experience, I will delete my initial negative review and give 5 stars.ORIGINAL REVIEW: Billing NIGHTMARE. The communication with this place has been the worst I have ever encountered with a medical office. I went around and around between them and my insurance, and the issue stems from procedures not being billed with the correct codes and/or wording. I was extremely clear about this when booking the appointment, when I checked in for the appointment, AND during and after the appointment, however, a year and half later I am still being sent bills because they are not coding procedures correctly. Believe all of the reviews that mention billing issues. When you are dealing with an already stressful medical situation, the last thing you want to do is get mis-billed for years. There are plenty of other providers out there who offers the same services as this place.Outside of billing, my other issue was that I had a procedure done with them that I was told wouldn’t be painful and wasn’t even told to take any OTC pain relievers and it turned out to be an excruciatingly painful procedure. I looked it up online after and spoke to other people and providers, and all recommend taking something for the pain in advance because it is known to be painful. What absolutely horrible patient care and communication.
My experience with Denver Fertility was absolutely incredible. The nurse team is incredibly kind, thoughtful, and has an immaculate attention to detail. Id recommend to anyone looking to freeze their eggs to come here. It felt like the most seamless experience from start to finish.
Dr. Albrecht and his nurse Britteny, always go above and beyond for their patients. They take their time to listen and provide the best care possible. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. I know that Im in good hands whenever I step into this office. Thank you for all you do Dr. Albrecht, Britteny, and Staff!!!
I had an amazing experience here at this clinic with Dr. Ambler. I had one egg retrieval in November 2022 and one frozen embryo transfer in Feb 2023. I just graduated and completed my shots/meds at 11.5 weeks pregnant and am sad to leave Dr. Amblers care. She and her nursing staff have been so supportive and helpful in this process. Everything at this clinic is very organized and you know exactly what you are getting into and what to expect. I am grateful for the opportunity to have worked with them and to have had such a seamless experience.
Truly awful experience attempting to have a consult here. We are current patients of another clinic locally. I was seeking a second opinion and review of our situation. I called early the day of my consult and explained that I would be arriving 5 minutes before the scheduled time due to our childcare provider having Covid, as I would need to pick my daughter up before I drove down. The purpose was to notify the staff I would be only 5 minutes early to my appointment as opposed to the requested 15. I confirmed that all my paperwork and history had been uploaded and verified in their portal, so there was nothing to complete at the office. When I arrived, 5 minutes prior to my scheduled appointment, I was told I owed the full amount for the consult as I dont have insurance benefits, which is incorrect. I have exhaustively reviewed insurance benefits with my insurance carrier and do have coverage which I verified prior to considering this clinic, and has been utilized with our current clinic. Furthermore, Ive since contacted my insurance and they show no record of this clinic performing any benefits verification. I have spent several months dealing with insurance for infertility care so I paid the consult fee, planning to submit for insurance reimbursement myself. I was prepared for a mediocre experience with the billing department here by prior reviews, so this was unwelcome but not a huge surprise. What I was unprepared for was for the receptionist to take payment while my child stood next to me, direct me to the restroom, then inform me when I exited that this is a completely child free practice. Do you have someone who can come...take her? I said that, no, I didnt, as I explained when I called earlier--our chlidcare provider had Covid. I also explained it was never disclosed to me that it was a child-free practice, and that I had an hour long commute to arrive, and thus do not have childcare in the area. Through this (now 20 min) discourse, my child sat quietly with a movie and headphones, which I had brought to keep her occupied for the visit. The receptionist said she would see if the provider might consider still seeing me with the child and stepped away. I waited 10 minutes before it was offered that I could do a telephone appointment from my car with the child. I asked for the fee to be refunded so I could leave, which took a further 10 minutes while the receptionist rolled her eyes and sighed in exasperation repeatedly. Fertility treatments are difficult and emotional enough without being treated like an unwelcome stray animal in the waiting room. This was such a dehumanizing experience. Its a fertility clinic, the entire purpose of which is to help people have children. I spoke to them on the phone hours before my consult and indicated I had to pick up my daughter. My child stood next to me while they charged me a fee that would have been covered by insurance had they bothered to verify it. They did not indicate at either of these opportunities that my daughter was not welcome alongside me, not until after I had driven an hour and paid a significant fee. They spoke about my daughter as if she were an unwelcome insect that had followed me into the office. Their solution to her apparently abhorrent presence was to sit in my car and discuss highly emotional information on a phone from the parking lot. I recognize that the presence of children for many medical appointments is inappropriate. This was not a procedural appointment of any kind, only a discussion of potential treatment. I brought appropriate activities (including headphones), and I disclosed in advance that due to a childcare emergency that she was coming with me. My child is old enough to understand and observe appropriate behavioral expectations in an office and for the duration of the proposed appointment, which was 1 hour. The clinic had ample opportunity to communicate their policy or attempt to reschedule. Instead they treated us as less than human, not deserving of care or even basic compassion.
This clinic is poorly managed and operated. I would strongly encourage you to look at a different clinic. For example, one day they told us that we had to pay over $7,000 that same day, or the IVF cycle would be canceled. This was our first and only notice that the bill was due that day. We had to stop work, rush there (20 minutes each way) and give them a check so that the cycle was not wasted.Later, during egg retrieval, Dr Albrecht found that my wife ovulated prematurely so he could not proceed with egg retrieval. Dr Albrecht did not consider that we could switch to IUI, and therefore we lost the chance for pregnancy that cycle. We later asked him and he confirmed that IUI would have been a good idea, but he did not think of it. IVF is expensive and stressful to go through, so we were disappointed that this was not considered and we missed having a chance on that cycle. Finally, after all of this and more, we decided to stop going there. However, we had prepaid for an IVF treatment. They confirmed they would refund us. The balance owed was well over $5,000. Despite in the past, Denver Fertility demanding payment the same day, it has now been a month and a half that they have not refunded us. I have sent several messages in their patient portal, and called several times, speaking with their billing department and office manager to request for them to send this refund payment. They claim that they will pay by a certain date, and then that date comes and goes. This was the final straw that encouraged me to post this review.
WARNING!!!! Do NOT go here for IVF. We started the process here and it was a miserable experience. They told me it was imperative for me to start birth control as soon as I got my period but then wouldn’t return my calls or messages for multiple days. Then they changed the story and said it was fine to wait 5 days. When I said it had been 6 and they hadn’t responded, they changed the number to 7 days. They make you pay over $10k before they will even answer questions. Seriously! They have Q&A sessions that you can attend only AFTER you have paid half of the first round costs. They are unresponsive and try to force your body into their schedules by having certain “retrieval weeks” for egg retrieval rather than basing it on your body. It’s like they don’t even care whether it will work. IVF is stressful enough without an uncaring and unresponsive provider. I could go on and on about how completely TERRIBLE the whole experience was with Denver Fertility Care. We switched to Shady Grove Fertility and it was like night and day! Such an amazing experience, and we got pregnant on the first round! We now have an adorable baby girl. Save yourself the stress and heartache and seek treatment elsewhere!
We began working with Dr. Albrecht after suffering two miscarriages. Initially, we went to one of their “Fertility Seminars” and got a lot of great info. We met with Dr. Albrecht after the seminar and discussed our personal situation and he agreed that we could benefit from working with him.Dr. Albrecht takes the time to explain all the different options, tests necessary, medications, etc. We never felt pressured to do one treatment, but instead supported in our decisions. The whole office was very accommodating and happy to answer any questions or concerns that arose.Because of this office and the IVF treatment we received, we have an amazing little boy. We will definitely be returning when it’s time for baby #2.
If you have the option to work with another clinic, I would take it. While the doctor’s themselves are knowledgeable and straightforward, the rest of the staff is unprofessional and disorganized. You will go through testing and the doctor will tell you in person that everything looks fine, only to receive a message via their portal saying the exact opposite. You’ll be told you’re up to date with payments, only to find out the day of the appointment that you owe more. You’ll set up a virtual appointment and the staff will call you 5 minutes before the appointment asking where you and why you aren’t at the office. While in the waiting room, you’ll overhear the staff discussing things they shouldn’t be. Navigating IUI and IVF is complicated enough, make it a little easier for yourself and go to another clinic.
I have had nothing but a great experience with Albrecht Women’s Care. After multiple miscarriages they answered many questions for my husband and I. They made everything so easy and understandable. Because of amazing Dr. Albrecht and his friendly and helpful staff we were blessed with our first daughter 2 years ago. Our second transfer sadly didn’t go as well, but even through that difficult trial they were very sympathetic and caring. I am so grateful to say that after a third transfer we are now pregnant with our 2nd child, again because of this team. They had more solutions to try and get another successful pregnancy. Because of them I am living my dream of becoming a mother. I call or email them at least once a week and they are always quick to respond. I always feel like the only patient at their office. I would recommend anyone and everyone to go to this team. They start off with a consultation to answer all questions and to see what is the right course for each person. I’m so glad I was recommended to them 3 years ago. My life will forever be changed because of Dr Albrecht.
They are amazing. We have done IVF with them and have a healthy baby boy over a year old. Now we are doing it again for baby #2. They are friendly and great people. Baby #2 due is Aug 2024. Without them my husband and I would not have are family.
My wife and I started the process of reciprocal IVF with Dr. Ambler and team in 2020, fresh in the cusp of COVID madness and we had numerous hurdles to walk through learning how our insurance coverage for reciprocal IVF worked and what we needed, but this team was with us 100% of the time! Even in the midst of world chaos, they provided the 1 true safe haven we could count on. When we called about questions, our primary nursing assistant, Brittany contacted us regularly to let us know what was going on, things we could do to move the process along and made sure to provide understanding and empathy to anything that we needed. Our first cycle was not successful, but as soon as we were ready this team jumped right in and was cheering us on, they were earnest in making sure that the second time was a success. Dr. Ambler made sure to contact my wife and I to discuss what options we had, what she saw analysis wise, and factors that may have associated with the failed cycle. We followed her lead, we listened to her guidance, we did literally everything she or Brittany told us to do and the second time we were successful! My wife is currently 31 weeks pregnant and its all because of the warmth that the team provided us at every single visit, the time that this team took to walk us through whatever we had questions about or if we just sent a bunch of emails in the portal, they ALWAYS responded. This team deserves just as much patience as we request, and we ensured to give them the same energy that they gave us. We adore this team and are proud to have had the opportunity to work with them not only in the successes but the failures as well. I cannot continue to say how much I appreciate & adore Dr. Ambler and her team of experts for being with us in this journey and getting us through this journey!!!
As I sit here nursing my baby, my heart is filled with gratitude to Dr Albrecht and his staff for making this dream come true. After several unexplained losses, I met with Dr Albrecht and he helped us learn about our options and the things we could do for the greatest chance of success. The staff was great, very caring and supportive. They always responded quickly. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 just because there were a few times that mistakes were made on my protocol when standard items on the form weren’t changed. Everyone should always be responsible for their own care. Double check things and don’t be afraid to ask questions. My concerns were always addressed quickly. So grateful for my miracle.
My husband and I began our journey in 2018 with Dr. Albrecht who is amazing!! The nurses & care team are also amazing. Unfortunately their great service is overshadowed by immense billing issues - inaccurate billing; hidden costs; sending us to collection notices; invoices showing up a year later. And to top it off, they dont address fairly or in a timely manner. They blame it on prior staff but take no ownership. This journey is a difficult and sensitive one and to deal with unexplained invoices/billing issues in the thousands is reason enough to go elsewhere. Maybe after posting this review my issues will be addressed - Im going on week 3 of waiting for a reply while meanwhile receiving collections notices.
Cant recommend Dr Albrecht enough. He actually took the time to work with us and understand our issues instead of just pushing IVF.CCRM gave us 3 minutes with the DR and then pushed us to sign up financing for IVF. Dr Albrecht explained that we are not canidates for IVF and actually took the time to diagnose the issue instead of just pushing IVF like CCRM does. We now have a wonderful little boy and another on the way without thousands in IVF expenses and not to mention the agony of the process.
I had a very positive experience with Denver Fertility Care under the care of Dr. Ambler and her fantastic team. I was single during the time I was trying to get pregnant, which added another layer of intensity to the process, but their team (including NPs, ultrasound techs, office staff, phlebotomists) made me feel welcome and didn’t judge me at all for my desire to become a single mom by choice. I was so appreciative of the responsivenesses of the team and office staff and their ability to handle any questions I had, some of which were pretty time sensitive.I went through 3 cycles of IUI and was successful on the 3rd try. I have a beautiful kiddo now and I am so grateful. I will be returning to Denver Fertility Care should I decide I want to become pregnant again in the future.Thank you so much to Dr. Ambler and her team. With your help, my life has changed in the absolute best way.
While the practice did feel kind and welcoming, weve had many issues on follow up and billing. I had a procedure done in the hospital and never received a follow up from the practice about my results, no one called or explained anything. We also just received a bill over 1 year later for services that were performed last October, 2021. It is now November, 2022. If any other business were to operate in this fashion, they would go under. Im not sure how a person is supposed to budget for high medical bills when they are charged a year later.
Had a great experience with Denver Fertility Care. Dr. Albrecht and the nurses were amazing and made us feel so comfortable. The billing is a little slow but that had nothing to do with the doctors and what they did for us.
We had a great experience with Dr. Ambler. After trying for a year, going on medication and doing preliminary tests with my OBGYN, we switched to Denver Fertility Care. Dr. Ambler did further testing and identified the underlying physical issue within the first couple of months. She performed surgery a month or two later and it was successful — we were lucky to naturally conceive right away and are now 28 weeks with our baby girl. For anyone going through fertility struggles, you know how important prompt diagnosis is for your mental health and the ticking clock. We found Dr. Ambler and all of the staff to be straightforward, kind and very professional. I really appreciated Dr. Ambler’s frankness about our chances. My only caution is that because she’s basically a one-woman practice we had a couple appointments delayed a month because she was sick etc. It worked out for us anyway, but if you’re under a more severe time crunch you might consider a larger practice. I can’t thank Dr. Ambler and the staff enough for helping us become parents!
If I could I would do 10 stars out of 5! They are so amazing!!! Because of Dr.Albrecht and his wonderful team I have a beautiful 16 month daughter and now I am pregnant again with a wonderful boy!!! They take such good care of you and try to accommodate everyone and do a fabulous job! I also want to give a shout-out to the embryologists there. They personally talked to me about my results and helped me though a big decision! They are wonderful and a vital part of the journey!! I love everyone at this clinic and recommend it to anyone who is needing advise or help in starting a family.
I am so happy that I switched my care from Conceptions to Denver Fertility Care. From the minute I called I felt like I was in the right place. From the receptionists, to the doctors, phlebotomist, and nurses everyone is AMAZING. I have always felt comfortable here which I believe is so important with such an intimate process of conceiving a child. My wife and I were shocked at how quick they were. We had been at conceptions for months and nothing happened but the second we moved over to Denver Fertility they prepared us completely for my first round of IUI. Within a month I am now pregnant with my first baby. Thank you staff of Denver Fertility Care!
I can’t say enough good things about Denver Fertility Care. This was the third fertility clinic we went to and I’m so glad we found them. For anyone just starting this process, I would say, don’t settle on the first clinic you go to if something doesn’t feel right. At the first two clinics I went to, I felt like they didn’t care about us at all and just wanted money. I was rushed in and out and left feeling so uneasy with no questions answered at all. When I finally had our appointment with Dr. Ambler, I left knowing we were right where we were supposed to be. I actually felt like she cared about us and wanted us to succeed! After struggling with secondary infertility for several years, multiple failed rounds of IUI’s and Clomid cycles at other clinics, Dr. Ambler helped us get pregnant on our first round of IVF! She was our biggest supporter through the whole process and really helped me stay positive. We had our healthy baby girl in May 2022 and couldn’t have done it without Denver Fertility Care.
Update: I am continually impressed with my experience at this clinic. Every single person I have interacted with has been above and beyond helpful. This includes nurses, front desk, billing, doctors, lab technicians. They answer questions very quickly in the patient portal, even calling to follow-up to answer more detailed questions over the phone. They are extremely knowledgeable and professional and it has been a seamless experience so far. It is rare that you come across a clinic or business like this so I want to give them the props they deserve.I am a new patient and so far my experience has been wonderful. Dr. Ambler is very thorough, kind, and got me scheduled and started on the right path very quickly. The front desk is great and very responsive and friendly. The ultrasound tech and blood work person were both great as well. I look forward to continuing down the path with this team!
I cant say enough positive things about my overall experience with Dr. Albrecht and his team. After coming from another globally known fertility center, I was so happy with the approach, consideration, tenderness and care that I received from Dr. Albrecht, his nurses and the staff. I am happy to announce that we are expecting our first after years of trying and unfortunate events at the other clinic.
Dr. Ambler and the entire staff at Denver Fertility are amazing. They were so patient with me and helped us figure out the right treatment plan to conceive. Although the process wasnt easy, knowing I had the support of this clinic was very reassuring. I would recommend them to anyone!
We loved Dr. Albrecht and his kind staff. He is wise and a good teacher. He performed tests and eventually a surgery to correct some issues Id had with a previous miscarriage. He also helped us get on some supplements and timed things perfectly for us to be able to conceive a healthy baby boy.IVF and IUI was not necessary.I like how warm and caring this doctor is compared to other doctors in the same profession.Thank you for helping us, Dr. Albrecht!
We came to this clinic in July of 2021 and had our first IUI in September (it would of been sooner but my follicles had a slow start!). Before our IUI I had very good instructions of how to prepare for it and I mean if I had a million questions the nurses would be so nice and quick to respond! After our IUI I knew it took a few of these for it to work, everyone is different! I asked for Progesterone for after my IUI and they did not hesitate to get me what I needed after doctors approval! During my two week wait I felt it had failed. I went in for a ultrasound to see what was going on, and had blood work done. A nurse called me the next day to tell me my BETA was POSITIVE!! I was shocked I even asked if she was sure! Haha we did one more and sure enough things were progressing like they should! I was in complete shock!!! I went in for an ultrasound at 7w3d and everything was perfect! Dr. Albrecht was just giving all his knowledge the whole ultrasound it was like music to my ears! We heard our little ones heart beat! They also have us a really cute envelope “Babys first photos” and I cried! I can’t thank Dr. Albrecht enough! All the nurses, Ultrasound ladies, and front desk staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect! Not to mention the online portal is a dream! You are able to communicate and see any results pretty quickly! If I could give this place 100000000 stars I truly would! Not everyone knows the journey of infertility and how hard it can be, they made it 1000 times easier! I cry writing this message because we graduate from the clinic in a few days! I might be back here one day, and I might not be but either way it’s good with us! I love every single one of you! Thank you to the moon and back! ♥️Keith & Allie Ortega
This facility is sub-par at best. Their communication among staff seems to be non-existant. The ONLY reason we are still with this clinic is because it takes months for embryos to be transfered to another clinic. Our surrogate has made appointments and the online staff DID NOT schedule her blood work and ultrasound. IF you choose this clinic, be prepared to do half their work for them. CALL them for eveything. I am having to call to confirm every appointment our surrogate has to ensure she does not was an hours drive to them dropping the ball. The desk staff have no idea what is going on and they clearly do not communicate with any other staff members. I highly suggesst this place hire new people who know what the hell they are doing. I am beyond frusttated with how they handle everything. GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER!!! We are doing our part do yours! Or get a job you actually care about.
Dr. Albrecht is amazing! I thank God for his abilities and knowledge that saved me from having a hysterectomy and allowed me to have more children.....twins to be exact. Thank you Dr. Albrecht and staff. You guys are life changers. Ann at the front desk was always so polite and friendly. This was a great experience.
One of the worst experiences Ive had regarding office staff and billing issues! We had ONE office visit with Dr. Albrecht in December 2019 and some subsequent labs done at this clinic, and that was it. Yet, were still having billing issues. We decided years ago to pursue international IVF treatment because IVF costs in the US are criminally expensive. But our clinic in Spain needed us to do some preliminary testing here in the States to prepare for the transfer. The office visit with Dr. Albrecht was fine. He gave us some good information. But, again, we only wanted the consultation and some labs. I am an Air Force veteran and this was one of the few clinics that took the VAs third-party insurance - TriWest. The office staff assured me they take TriWest and the visit and labs were covered. Yet, we kept receiving bills. Come to find out, the clinic billed Tricare, not TriWest. In March 2020, I was again assured by the billing department that this was taken care of and to disregard any future bills. That they knew the difference between TriWest and Tricare and had resolved the issue. Apparently not. Its now October 2020 and we just got another bill from this clinic, stating the charge has gone to collections. And, in the fine print, it stated claim filed to Tricare. How difficult is it to get this right? Now, their mistake could be affecting my credit! I just called to resolve the issue AGAIN and, of course, got voicemail. Avoid this clinic if you are what they call a monitoring patient (not one of their patients) or you are a veteran attempting to use TriWest. It is a nightmare! Also, look into international IVF. We were able to travel to Spain in September (after jumping through a few governmental hoops) and just learned last week that were pregnant! Its about a third of the cost - donor eggs included - of US clinics and just as effective. Plus, you get a vacation out of the deal!
Dr. Ambler and all of the office staff are incredible. I was feeling hopeless and was in a very bad place before transferring care here. I now feel like I’ve been heard and have a highly knowledgeable team fighting with me to see results. I can not thank Dr. Ambler and the team at Albrecht Women’s Care enough for everything.
Its taken some time for me to write this without blasting them with the anger I initially felt after leaving their clinic. I found Kathy and Dr. Albrecht to be warm and personable, but I found Stacie to be uncaring and dismissive. During one visit, Stacie and I had a long conversation about my IVF progress while another patient was sitting in the exam room next door within earshot. Had I known another patient was listening, I never would have been discussing such personal topics with the door open.We met Dr. Albrecht to discuss our IVF progress and he did not give us any space to talk or ask questions. When we first sat down in his office, he started explaining the IVF process like he had (presumably) hundreds of other times and then he ended the meeting without asking for any input from us. He seemed in a rush and the costs were explained in detail, but the success rates and treatment details were not. When I called the IVF coordinator to ask about using donor eggs, she seemed perplexed and said, Um... I think Dr. Albrecht has experience with donor eggs, but Im not sure.I had someone elses lab orders emailed to me by mistake on two separate occasions, once by Ellen H. and another by someone else in the clinic. The lab orders had the other patients name, date of birth, age, etc. on them and I can only assume the other patients received my lab orders by mistake. I found Katie G. in billing to be incredibly insensitive, especially when communicating via email.I felt that Anne C. joked excessively each time I met her. On one occasion, I entered a full waiting room and Ann announced loudly: Are we thawing your sperm today?! when my husband and I were closer to the entrance than we were to her desk. That felt like a serious breach of privacy and I went home and cried with frustration that night. All in all, Albrecht Womens Care is a decent fertility clinic if youre looking for entry-level fertility assistance. They are highly disorganized and too casual during most conversations, bordering on unprofessional. I wouldnt describe them as the most knowledgeable or skilled, their staff is not the most caring, but their prices are fair and they accept insurance.
The lady at the front desk was incredibly rude, unprofessional, and lacked any compassion. There were and still are HUGE communication problems between Albrecht and my OBGYN. I wasnt told that there was a mandatory urine test for almost any service. When I arrived with an empty bladder the front desk lady told me to start drinking water and I had 30 minutes before my appointment; I needed to use the facilities before that appointment or they wouldnt see me. Mind you this is AFTER my 45 minute drive. I was quoted one price then charged another, when I protested this at the front desk I was shown a price list that Id never seen before and snottily told to have a great day after I paid the higher price. I did call and complain about the pricing and the attitude I received, they did lower my price to the one I was quoted on the phone and apologized for the behavior of their staff. I do want to say that the medical personnel, nurses, doctors, and the woman on the phone who called to field my complaint were very professional and compassionate. This is the only reason for the second star.
I have been struggling with pain for 7+ years now. Every doctor has ignored it, except Dr. albrecht. He goes out of his way to help people and create a welcoming environment. Everybody there was extremely nice and had a heart of gold. I was so lucky to find him and owe him so much for the happiness he gave me. He is a great surgeon and is completely trustworthy. I HIGHLY recommend going to this clinic!!!
Dr. Ambler seems nice…however I only briefly met her virtually.I went in for my first appointment which for was blood work. I have had this blood work done before elsewhere which cost me about $300. Here, it would be $1600. The front desk girl was very pushy rude, she didn’t understand simple insurance terms like when I asked about an “insurance adjustment.”Initially when I made the appointment they said they accept my insurance, but they don’t.Very pushy for money while over priced at an already stressful and vulnerable time in a fertility journey. I’ll go somewhere else.
We had been trying to conceive on our own for a couple of years without success and were then referred to Dr Albrecht. We had some unexpected complications with endometriosis which required laparoscopic surgery (which Dr Albrecht performed). I had a lot of things going on in there and he was able to get my tubes cleared and remove scar tissue and get my ovaries back in place with that one surgery. We then did three rounds of Clomid and got pregnant on that last round! The process was handled with care and kindness from all of the staff. Infertility is a tough emotional journey and everyone at his office was always kind and took their time to answer questions for me and explain what all the steps and processes would be. Im currently 21 weeks pregnant and still in disbelief but very happy and have a healthy pregnancy.
I absolutely do NOT recommend Albrecht Womens Care. My wife and I started our pregnancy journey here, and we were not met with a helpful staff. I felt as though I had to hold their hands through the process which was unfair and unbelievable considering the thousands of dollars were were spending. I had to call my insurance company with the individual codes and request preauthorizations for services...this is not the patients job! Sure, we should be informed and make sure we are covered, but individual codes for services is the responsibility of the clinic! We were also given incorrect information numerous times. The straw that broke the camels back was when they messed up our genetic testing results. We paid to have a large panel of tests performed because we needed to choose a sperm donor that didnt have similar recessive genes that could cause life threatening genetic disorders for our baby. After the test I asked how many disorders they tested for and they said, A comprehensive Universal Panel was done through NxGen. This tests hundreds of genetic diseases and you were negative as a carrier for all. It doesn’t list out all the tests that were negative, just the most common. If anything had tested positive, it would be listed. I have attached the report from NxGen. This felt bizarre to me so I called NxGen directly to speak with the lab. They said the nurse was incorrect and the test they performed only looked at 26 diseases, NOT hundreds. This flaw could have caused us to have a child with a disease/disorder they would have caused a miscarriage or SEVERE life threatening side effects. We switched to Conceptions Reproductive Associates of Colorado and highly recommend them. They will take care of all the insurance coverage questions, walk you through EVERY step of the way, AND we got pregnant on our first round of IVF. We are so very glad and lucky that we left Albrecht Womens Care.
After several tries via IUI at other places, my wife and I wanted a place that welcomes us and treat us as humans not patients. We were recommended this fertility center so we gave it a try. We thought they would pressure us into trying IVF but turns out they were so understanding, they answered all of our questions. They took time in getting know us personally and we felt respected by their staff. After the first try via IUI, we got pregnant! We are due in September 2018. We would recommend this center to anyone. Their hospitality, professionalism, and communication are top-notch! Thank you Denver Fertility Albrecht Womens Care for giving us a family we have always dreamed of! We will visit when our little bean is born and we will come back when we plan on having a second child!
Tina did my ultrasound. She was very kind and personable. She asked a lot of questions and did a thorough exam.
First and foremost. We were patients at CCRM first and left because we wanted to save money. What we saved in money cost us in time, stress, and frustration. All things that are awful for infertility. So if you are looking to save money, please consider my post. Im writing this to help other people avoid the same mistake we did.Im writing this as a current patient that just made the decision to go back to CCRM. I was a patient for one month and am appalled by the lack of urgency they have for such a time-sensitive process. Maybe its because I had CCRM to compare them to, so I have an expected level of care based on my experience with CCRM. Dr. Albrecht is great but anything related to the office management/nurse line is awful. Every time I have had to contact them for an appointment, bloodwork, etc I have had to call multiple times which is insane given everything that I had to do was time sensitive and needed to be done on particular days. If you struggle with infertility, you know how bad stress is and the whole process of having to constantly call them was creating so much unnecessary stress. The bottom line is if youre looking for a supportive, responsive, accountable place this may not be a great fit for you. If you have extremely time-sensitive infertility needs, I would consider another provider as time is of the essence and the need to constantly call them gets stressful as you freak out about not being able to get in on the particular day of your cycle. We recently had to cancel an IUI because they did not respond. I also had a friend who is a current patient miss her medicated cycle month because they didnt call in her prescription. They responded by telling her she can just try next month, which anyone struggling with infertility knows that time is of the essence. We chose them because of the perceived affordability, but now we are seeing the cost of not paying as much. I should have seen the signs when I had to call multiple times to schedule an initial appointment. There is only one time that they have answered on the first try, whereas I called CCRM today to switch and they answered on the first try.Im so disheartened as I was excited to work with them and get going to start our family. I had no idea what an awful experience it would be in the first month. We felt that based on how they conduct business, theres no way we could trust them with IVF.So if youre considering working with them, I wouldnt recommend it if youre over 35 or have extreme infertility needs. There is no sense of urgency and they do not regard the time factor. This is the longest yelp review I have ever written. I know some of you may be reading this and disregarding me as just an angry customer but I too disregarded earlier reviews that referenced the lack of responsiveness and assumed it was just a random angry customer, but no they were entirely accurate.I hope that I have helped make the decision easier for those trying to determine whether to spend more money or go the cheaper route at Albrecht. I dont want someone to waste time and money as we did.
Personally I have not been here, But I have been trying to get an appt since 2022-fall/winter, and have yet to receive a call back. I have inquired on their website about wanting an appt, and I have left several voicemails, but I have never gotten a reply back from anyone. Was going through reviews and seems, that they do not really call back on existing patients, so I guess it is the same for new patients wanting to come here.
We discovered Dr. Albrecht after leaving another clinic which pushed IVF only, Dr. Albrecht was kind and very patient with us. Staff was just as warm and kind, experienced many rounds/cycles and they were always responsive, clear and knowledgeable.
This was a COLD and PAINFUL experience.I did 2 IUIs here and it was painful and cold. There was no communication. The staff is rude and not helpful. All they care about is getting paid. Albrecht told me one thing and wrote something different in my chart for my plan. I had severe anxiety and they did nothing but add to the stress by the refusal of talking to me about anything. These are horrible, horrible people. Beware!!
After many cycles of trying the exact same approach we moved clinic to Rocky Mountain. This staff was super nice, but not willing to try anything but the traditional approach. I have no doubt we would never have had our little guy, Simon, if we would have stayed with albrecht. He wasn’t the right partner for us. Not willing to be creative or curious.
Id be happy to refer this office to folks looking for answers to fertility challenges. They throughly test and seek answers. Dr. Ambler has great bedside manner, is direct and comforting. All of the nurses and staff were respectful and professional. I hated conceptions and loved this office.
We met with Dr Ambler at a time we had been struggling to get pregnant for almost 3 years. While other doctors were brash and pessimistic, she was kind and gave us hope. Before long we were pregnant. We now have a beautiful 2wk old. We couldnt have been happier with Dr Ambler and are very excited for her at Denver Fertility.
I would leave I stars but that’s not an option. They missed my ovation because they schedule my retrieval during a holiday break and no one was in the office the day I should have had my retrieval. Their bedside was TERRIBLE!!!!! And you can never get ahold of your nurse once they have your money.
Probably one of the worst experiences of my life going to this clinic for our procedure. I had a successful round of ivf and fet at another clinic then transfered here for my 2nd. It was the worst experience ever. I high suggest looking elsewhere.
We went in for fertility treatment and ended up getting pregnant...yay! That is the only good thing coming from this center. We have not seen them since the end of June and we had an email confirmation from their billing department that we had a zero balance in October. We then got a letter in the mail today that we were sent TO COLLECTIONS for a bill that was already paid. Their billing representative, Ruby, is impossible to get ahold of and I question if she knows how to correctly bill or not. Go here to get pregnant but be forever in their debt. Never going back and NEVER recommending them.
The medical portion of this office is solid, and if fertility treatments and IVF were solely medical, Id recommend this office. However, the communication is severely lacking. Too many times we were wondering what was going on, clearing up communication mistakes, waiting for replies and forms they are suppose to send, etc. I cant provide any names, because I dont know them--rarely was introduced to anyone.I hate writing bad reviews, and if this were a mechanic or retail store, Id skip. But this is extremely personal and not a cheap enterprise. I hope they amend their operations to reflect this.
Love this place! They are so very caring, and they can always get you in for an appt. I am still going through my journey but they are very kind, supportive and helpful throughout this entire process!
They has made this process less more easy, stressful that my experience in the pass.
Doctor Albrecht is very humble and polite. Although We have not got success getting pregnant but I am sure one day with his true care definetly we will become parents.
Have gone to Dr. Albrecht and his team twice for both of my children. Great people, very friendly, will explain everything to you as you go through the process. Would recommend to everyone.
Dr. Albrecht is amazing! He is knowledgeable and highly educated in what he does. Highly recommended!
Dr. Albrecht and his staff have treated my husband and I with compassion, flexibility, availability, and used their medical expertise to help us on our journey. I highly recommend.
Cant speak highly enough for the quality of care here. Ive been a patient for different things over the years and have received nothing but the best, most attentive, on-time, and very personable care. Very far from my work but have always been willing to make the drive to work with this group.
I’ve been loving working with Albrecht Women’s Care. Der. Ambler and the monitoring nurses have been extremely helpful and supportive.
Good service. BUT ive been calling them at least once a week for three weeks (three times one week and once every following week) trying to pay my bill balance and they arent returning my call. I can always send a check but for a place that cant even return my phone calls, Id rather not.
From day one we were treated with the upmost respect and care. My family loves everything about this place. They helped our dream come true of having a baby! Thank you for all you do.
Very kind and responsive. They are very understanding and comforting throughout the process.
The wife and I are working with Dr. Ambler, she has been wonderful in every encounter weve had with her and her staff.
Worst experience of my life. Dont bother. Lots of hidden fees and condescending staff who wont help or listen to you. Save your money and go elsewhere.
Dr. Albrecht is amazing - wise, gentle, kind. I wish medicine was so advanced we could clone this one.
Such informative and kind care!
Truly amazing! We have 14 month old twins because of this office! Highly recommend!
Disorganized and unprofessional. We lost the chance to have a biological child because of the huge mistake which they apologized and refunded us for but you can never get that back.
I dont think they even deserve one star! awful experience & I hope no one has to go through what I did!
Warm Friendly Staff would highly recommend!
Dr Ablrecht and staff are great. He supported and sustained my rainbow baby.
People here are not very bright.. They do not know what procedures they offer and can not talk about it either.
RUNNNNNNN AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. They will take your money and years of fertility.
If youre looking for an office with staff who truly care, this is the place for you.
