The right staff makes all the difference! My wife and I have come to Shady Grove for about 2 years now, working on our fertility goals, which got delayed due to a number of outside factors. Between the time we were first going in until now, their operation has gotten much more efficient and streamlined.I personally attribute much of this to Joseph at the front desk! He is seriously about the most helpful person ever, and makes these appointments much easier for everyone. It also reflects well on management that they have put the right people in place to help people move effectively through an otherwise sometimes stressful process.Their doctors are also incredibly knowledgeable, and appointments with them are illuminating into all the variables that make up fertility. All nurses are incredibly friendly and helpful too!
There were some definite pros and cons to Shady Grove. Choosing a fertility clinic is not something to be taken lightly, so here is my thoughts on my experience at sgf.A little background: we switched to SGF after deciding Conceptions was not a right fit for us. We had unexplained infertility and were ready to start treatment. We started with IUI and went through three unsuccessful rounds and then moved on to IVF. Our first transfer took and we have gratefully graduated from sgf to an OB.Pros: Great doctors, we had Dr. Roeca as our primary doctor and never had a concern or questioned her treatment plans. Dr. Polotsky make me feel comfortable and reassured during all of the procedures he performed.Amazing monitoring nurses, they are very responsive with any question and give great additional advice. I really liked using the portal for one-off questions. The nurses were even in the office after appointments for any other questions that I needed to discuss in person. They were always friendly and willing to help! They are the main reason for my higher rating. Chelsea O. and they other monitoring nurses were incredible.Great sonogram technicians, I always felt comfortable with the techs or doctors who performed the sonograms, they answered any questions I had and thoroughly explained what they were looking for and what they saw. I really enjoyed their friendly demeanor, especially Cathy!Cons: While the doctors are great, we only spoke to our designated doctor maybe twice. We were handed off to which ever doctor was on duty that day for our procedures. The nurses that assisted with the egg retrieval were not great the day we had our procedure. It was scheduled for first thing in the morning the day after the 4th of July and they came in looking a little less than. We could hear them talking about their drinking the night before and how tired they were. They had a hard time finding a vein for my iv and ended up spraying my blood from my arm all over the room. After I came out of the procedure I was in a lot of pain and they didnt do anything until the anesthesiologist came in and could tell I was hurting and asked them to administer pain relief. After that they rushed us out of the office and did not allow for a good experience. The front desk leaves a lot to be desired, they were a little standoffish and lacked the professionalism one is looking for when putting such great trust into a clinic. There was frequent eating and strong smelling foods, and gave an overall sloppy appearance. They were rude when mentioning billing or answering questions and generally did not give a great impression. I had a billing error and every time I checked in for an appointment they would try to force me to make a payment for the incorrect amount and told me if I didnt pay, that the portal would lock me out.The biggest con of SGF is definitely their billing department. Which is very disappointing because I know the billing is not just for this location. I have waited over 3 months for them to correct billing errors and am still calling trying to get the situation fixed. They claim to call you back but never do. I have been told that my case has been escalated to the highest level for over 2 months with no results or answers.Overall, we accomplished what we set out for, but not without hurdles. And while I understand that no one can expect a perfect experience, I do believe there are things they can do to be better. This is such a hard thing couples have to deal with but I do believe SGF for the most part puts in the effort to make the experience less stressful for their patients.
I have PCOS and only one fallopian tube which made it next to impossible to get pregnant on my own. After 7 years of trying with no luck, we were finally able to have our baby with the help of Dr. Polotsky at Shady Grove. The first transfer we did was unsuccessful and Dr. Polotsky was able to make some changes that helped me have a successful second transfer. We now have a healthy and happy 2 month old baby and could not be any happier.Thank you so much for helping us start our family, we are eternally grateful!
I am grateful to have had a positive outcome and worked with some kind, sensitive people throughout a really difficult process. No complaints there but I do want to share thoughts on how to navigate the process and SGF billing processes.I could list a series of frustrations with the process, but I’ve spoken with IVF patients at different clinics and found things that bothered me at SGF are bothersome things about the industry in general. It is essential to be an informed advocate for yourself. Surrendering to the expertise of providers and processes of your clinic may not get you the outcome you want. For example, the SGF franchise is known for more rigid protocols and criteria that support their success rates. Other clinics are more experimental in their approaches, so you might see lower “success rates” at other, more expensive clinics because patients fail into their clinics after starting at more cookie cutter places like SGF. So, if you’ve had several transfer fails on a more rote approach and want to try something that’s only been recently published on, you may have a harder time getting your provider on board at a place like SGF. You can either advocate for yourself at SGF (totally possible!), or you’ll see patients transfer care—which can be stressful and time consuming when you’re already facing the scary reality of a biologically ticking clock. I think there is a place in the industry for both these models but think patients should understand how their unique needs would be served by different providers.Besides the industry in general, the most egregious fault of this clinic is not with the staff or their generally competent and compassionate care—but after almost 12 months since my last appointment, I’m still fighting with their billing department over services that should have been covered. TBF I think this is a corporate issue, not a Colorado location problem. We paid for the Multi-Cycle Discount and within a month of me being able to graduate from this clinic we began receiving erroneous invoices that we owe them anywhere from $40 to >$1k here and there. Each time I receive an invoice (>10 at this point), I have to message the clinic through the portal as well as call their third-party biller. These messages are complicated itemizations of each date of service and what they think I owe versus what I actually owe. I also have to cross my fingers that they aren’t sending me to collections despite their angry, red invoice threats to, and comb through my own records to determine what actually happened on each date of service.I am lucky that I am a diligent patient who kept thorough records of each one of my cycles, so, when I’ve received nearly gibberish 12-page invoices, I’ve been able to spend hours tracking them to my notes to make sure that they should have been covered. I am also grateful that I work in health insurance and am savvier than the average person in deciphering EOBs.I am stuck in some hellish carousel of billing and feel like they’re just sending me random bills at this point in the hopes that I’ll relent and pay one here or there. I was annoyed but patient with the first few—mistakes happen, but given the duration of the problem and relentlessness of inaccurate bills, I can no longer assume this is a one off problem but a systematic failure OR strategy from corporate. My heart goes out to anyone having to read this review because I know your path to parenthood has already broken your heart in more ways than anyone deserves. I hope this info helps you find the practice that will make the next part of your journey a little less painful.
So glad to be able to return as a patient after our first successful frozen embryo transfer in 2021. We now have a healthy, happy almost 2 year old! The entire staff welcomed us and made us feel cared about at each visit. I will truly miss seeing everyone here, but we are thankful and blessed that our second transfer was also successful, and will begin care at my OB office. Thank you all so much!
We loved the staff at SGF! Everyone is so kind and friendly, which is so nice when you are in a cycle and seeing them multiple times a week! Dr. Polotsky was wonderful and the nurses were great - especially Lauren who held my hand through it all (including some tears and frustration). The office is really nice and clean, and parking is easy. Barbara and the rest of the front desk were always helpful, welcoming, and kind. As excited as we were to be pregnant I was also sad not to be seeing everyone all the time! In terms of medical care, we received great care and support in navigating decisions. I am now holding my three month old and have so much gratitude to the SGF team for all they did and for being a part of our journey!
Shady Grove in Denver, Co was an amazing experience for myself and husband. After a successful IVF treatment, we are now blessed with our 2 second healthy pregnancy. Doctor Polotsky was kind and helpful throughout our fertility journey. The nurses were so patient with me and amazing every step of the way. I appreciate all the staff members here so much. Thank you SGF!
All of the staff at SGF have been so wonderful. From Joseph and Courtney at the front desk, who were always a friendly first impression at all of our appointments, to our nurse Chelsea who communicated professionally and empathetically throughout our time with Shady Grove. And of course props to Dr. Roeca for leading us through the whole process. Her professionalism and bedside manner were second to none. Also, her skills in transfers are so appreciated by my partner and I.Thanks so much to you all!Matt
Shady Grove was very accommodating to the needs of me and my wife. We both had to manage tough traveling schedules throughout our process and they were amazing at making things flexible for us. I really enjoyed working with them. Also, the front desk attendants are super nice and helpful. Test results are communicated promptly and well. I definitely recommend them.
We cannot say enough great things about Dr. Polotsky and the entire medical team at SGF! Every single person treated us with the utmost kindness and respect throughout our treatment process. We are thankful we chose to begin our IVF journey here as we received the highest quality care from a group of very compassionate people and have had great results. Thank you for helping us to grow our family!
Weve been super impressed by the communication and efficiency of Shady Grove. The portal system works well, the care coordination has felt seamless, and the doctors have been approachable, knowledgeable, and (when needed), comforting. IVF isnt fun by any stretch of the imagination, but weve been really grateful to all of the front desk staff, phlebotomists, ultrasound techs, RNs, and physicians for making the experience better!
To date, my experience with Shady Grove Fertility in Greenwood Village has been highly disappointing. From the beginning, Ive felt more like a number than an actual patient. The level of disorganization here is surreal, and unfortunately, it comes at the patients expense repeatedly. The narrow window for certain procedures means that if you need to schedule something outside the facility, you will not be a priority. When I tried to change a procedure from HSG to the saline version to avoid dyes, my new order was deprioritized until it suited their schedule. The constant excuse of being short-staffed seems to be a daily occurrence. Communication is severely lacking, and you will not receive updates unless you proactively reach out. Even then, youre left to manage everything on your own.Having gone through a similar process at Denver Fertility a few years ago, I understand the complexity involved. However, it shouldnt feel like the burden falls entirely on the patient. The office should be more helpful and recognize the urgency involved in fertility treatments. Instead, when you raise issues, you get robotic nods and smiles with responses like, Let me get that to X and Ill get back to you, which are dismissive and ineffective. Your concerns seem to be filed away and forgotten.I havent felt like a valued patient but more like cattle throughout my time here. Despite asking three times for a party to be removed from my chart, it still hasnt been resolved. Each time I was assured it was taken care of, only to find out later it wasnt. Results that were supposed to be provided were not, and supplemental testing orders were sent with the wrong codes, causing further delays.Overall, the lack of responsiveness and organization has been incredibly frustrating and stressful. I would not recommend Shady Grove Fertility in Greenwood Village to anyone seeking fertility treatment. The stress alone has likely decreased my odds and I will be collecting my results and returning to Denver Fertility to proceed accordingly.
I love this office and the care staff within it! It is comfortable and welcome. The staff are so supportive, knowledgeable and understanding. I definitely recommend them to anyone!! I’m glad I have a team like them on my side.
Dr. Polotsky and the nurses at Shady Grove were fantastic to work with. Their clinic makes it easy to get in for appointments, I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a fertility specialist.
We had out first baby boy with Dr. Polotsky. He is very personable and a great doctor to work with. We are very happy he was our doctor. We are considering a second baby, and we would love to work with Dr. Polotsky again.
The doctors, nurses, and staff at Shady Grove are wonderful. They respond to messages quickly and effectively. They work hard to create an welcoming environment while you are going through fertility treatments. I would recommend Shady Grove for anyone looking for fertility treatments or family building options.
During the most trying time of my life, Shady Grove Fertility gave me hope and a chance to bring a baby into my husbands and my life. Thanks to Dr. Roeca and her team, we are 14 weeks pregnant for the first time after 4+ years of infertility. My nurse, Caroline was so helpful and responsive. I was able to email and she would respond in record time. Even through failed IUIs and a failed transfer, Dr Roeca helped us believe we could keep moving forward. We are forever grateful for the staff at Shady Groves in Denver for ushering into the best time of our lives....parenthood!
Many thanks to Dr. Polotsky for his professionalism and human attitude. From the very first meeting I felt that I was in good hands. I will definitely recommend him to my friends and acquaintances who have also been looking for a competent specialist for a long time.Thank you very much to you and your team!
This review is for the kindest and most thorough sonographer, Stephanie G. Going into the clinic can be grim considering the circumstances, but she always brightens my day and takes extra care to get great, clear images for my doctor. She rocks!
Today I came in to Shady Grove to get blood work ,etc done and I was a little frustrated due to continuous miscommunication I have experienced here over the last 2 years. As I was walking out, the front desk associates Barbara and Courtney check in on me to see how I was doing and if that was okay. They listen to me talk. They offered to find the information that I needed even talked with me while they had a moment. That time I spent with them really lighten my heart and made me feel a lot better about my experiences there. Wonderful ladys, truly special. Thank you both.
Barbara,Kortney and Joseph is always helpful when either calling in for an appointment or coming down for testing. Today they were able to squeeze me in for some bloodwork last minute. I appreciate the three of you answering my question and being patient with Shae and I. Going through infertility is a heartbreaking experience but your team makes it more enjoyable with support and sympathy. I’m looking forward for our next steps with this teams help.
I like how often there is no one available to talk to and how by the end of the day actuly means no one will actuly contacy you about anything ever again i realy enjoied takeing a bunch of tests for them, for them to beat arround the bush about how much the actual treatment will actuly cost or when they need said amounts of money (to be fair i got alot of could cost numbers and no payment plans) . The fact that they can not fix a system error where we can provide receipts of payments, but because their systems dont see it, is nice. the only thing that can be done about that was for us to pay it off anyway, which is totally fine! I like how paying it again and paying for the test without insurence because they dont want to talk to my insurence company has changed nothing about the level of service! its great fighting with a company for service for a years and not getting any information out of them when i decide to stop waiting and move on to another company. Oh yeah, and they couldnt even get me started for the first 6 months. I hope you do not have these experiences, but dont say i didnt warn you. These people seem to charge less than other clinics so they can steal your money and give you nothing in return.
Not LGBT friendly. Highly disorganized. If youre thinking about using them, this is your warning to run for the hills and find somewhere else! We missed out on a chance to conceive this month because my wife came in for bloodwork and they ran the wrong tests. Astoundingly, this has happened twice that my wife has come in for bloodwork and they ran the wrong tests. At one point I was told that I couldnt be involved in the process because I wasnt on any medical release or paperwork. As a transgender person, this was a punch in the face that no one thought to include me on any medical release. To be told I couldnt make appointments about my own child to be was heartbreaking. At another point in the process they completely forgot who we were as clients and almost had us redo a bunch of paperwork. There have been several nights in our house spent crying over how SGF has mishandled things in this process. Well be going elsewhere for our conception needs from now on.
The staff at Shady Grove have been nothing but excellent and professional! From phlebotomists Kristen, Jesus, and Draco that dont even bruise you for labs, Stephanie and Ellie in ultrasound are so friendly and help keep you in a positive mind set, Dr. Dana Siegle and Dr. Roeca explaining everything in detail for retrievals, Nurses Chelsea and Lauren for all their help in the portal messages and answering any questions along the way, and Dr. Polotzky for coming up with the right fertility protocol based on your own unique situation. They all do everything possible to help you achieve and make progress through your fertility journey! I would send anyone to SGF that asks for recommendations in the Denver area. Thank you staff for all that you do!
We have been through several IVF clinics and found the best patient care, tenderness, and individualize treatment with Dr. Roeca at Shady Grove Fertility Center in Denver, Colorado. We are now excited, after 3 years of several lows, to welcome a baby girl through the Guarantee program Shady Grove offers.
I love the care that I received! Jesus is very nice and personable. Barbara is always pleasant to speak with as well and remembers you. Its nice being able to go to your doctors office and have people who recognize you immediately and always greet you with a smile.
The care, the facility, the communication, the scheduling was all kind, informed, and really helpful. I really felt I could trust Dr. Polotsky and everyone one else at Shady Grove.
Shady Grove Fertility is the best place to go.They are efficient, organized, on time and staff super kind and willingly to help.Dr. Alex Polotsky is the perfect doctor and very knowledgeable. He inspires trust, he listens and learns all the your medical history.I will recommend them to all friends and family.
You can’t get anyone to pick up the phone most of the time. So far, it has been difficult to know where you stand in the process because communication is not good. We didn’t know what next steps were and had to stalk the clinic and send 5 emails before we knew what steps to take. There was no follow up after samples were taken to let us know the results. Hoping as things progress they read this and find more people to answer the phones.
With one try IUI, baby is on the way. People were kind and attentive. Dr. Polotski will keep you positive and looking forward. His office has gazillions of baby pictures.
We got to meet Dr. Elder today and there was just something about her presence and energy that made my wife and I feel incredibly comfortable and reassured this is where we should be. She was simply just kind and very sweet something worth noting for sure!
The care team and Physicians at Shady Grove were very responsive and supportive throughout my whole IVF process. The nurses are caring and thorough. Fertility treatments can be a process, but with the help of this care team, you are in good hands with a partner who wants to help bring you success in your desires. The admin side can be hard to track (financials and scheduling) but I find that to be true for most fertility clinics.
Dr. Polotsky and SGF are a fantastic practice for couples struggling with infertility. The process of IVF is hard enough, and SGF did everything they could to ease it for us. They explained all of the steps, kept billing/insurance simple, and genuinely cared for us throughout the journey. Even after my wife got pregnant, they had us in for multiple same-day emergency ultrasound appointments to give us peace of mind.I didnt know what to expect when we started the infertility journey and Im very grateful to have worked with SGF.
Love it when Steph does my wifes ultrasound. She is very informative and helps my wife feel comfortable with the process. Very grateful for her and her professionalism!
I am unsure where to begin because this journey has spanned a period of ten months. We have learned from SGF that patience is necessary for good, expected, or excellent results. Before coming to SGF, we experienced two miscarriages and consulted multiple OBs, but unfortunately, we did not receive any positive outcomes. Subsequently, we decided to explore the option of IVF/IUI based on our previous experiences and conducted research on IVF centers in Denver. After reading reviews, we ultimately chose SGF.For our initial appointment, we selected Dr. Polotsky, and we were thoroughly impressed with the way he explained everything in great detail. His experience allows him to easily comprehend the problem at hand. During the first appointment, he provided us with an accurate success rate without making any false statements. After reviewing all of our medical reports, Dr. Polotsky recommended IVF as the best option, and we readily agreed due to his high success rate.We eagerly awaited the insertion date after my surgery, and when the time finally arrived, they scheduled it for January and it is successful. There are no words to express our gratitude towards Dr. Polotsky and his team. Both my husband and I are thankful to them for the rest of our lives. Dr. Polotsky has truly transformed our lives with his expertise. In our family, he is like a godsend.Megan, the Nurse Coordinator, has been incredibly helpful and always available to assist us with any questions or concerns. We extend our thanks to Megan for her kind nature and willingness to answer our queries whenever we needed.Barbara at the Front Desk is amazing. Her warm welcome and constant smile make every visit a pleasant experience. In conclusion, I can confidently say that it is important to be patient and trust Dr. Polotsky and his team. They are highly skilled and will give their utmost effort, going above and beyond to provide the best care possible.
Dr. Polotsky and his team at Shady Grove Fertility are truly the best! From the very beginning, we knew we were in good hands when we chose Shady Grove based on the recommendation of our insurance company. We made the right decision by selecting Dr. Polotskys team for our care.Throughout our fertility journey, we have been overwhelmed by the care, compassion, and support we have received. The entire team has been by our side every step of the way, providing us with the utmost professionalism and expertise. They have made what could have been a stressful experience much more manageable. We are thrilled to announce that we are now pregnant, and even as we transition to our OB/Gyn out of state, the support from Shady Grove Fertility continues. We are forever grateful for the exceptional care we have received and will always remember this incredible journey thanks to Dr. Polotsky and his team.If youre looking for a fertility clinic that truly cares and provides top-notch care, we highly recommend Shady Grove Fertility and Dr. Polotsky. They have made our dreams come true, and we cant thank them enough!
I was an international patient at SGF Denver, travelling back & forth from Australia for the embryo donation program. The logistics of that with appointments, medication and scans required both in Aus & the USA were made easy with great communication from Jodi. I also worked with Kaylee on the finance side and had no issues. The staff in both the clinic and theatre were always welcoming & answered any questions I had.Ultimately I was unsuccessful following 3 embryo transfers with SGF, however the recommendations from Dr Polotsky were followed up in Australia and I have just given birth to my miracle baby boy. I have remained in contact with the SGF team & shared this good news.I would recommend SGF Denver and am happy to be contacted by people from outside the USA considering using this clinic.
Dr. Polotsky and his team have been amazing to me and my fiancé. they have taken care of every need possible.I transferred from another clinic where they were just awful to us and all they cared was to pocket money and not consider our feelings or needs. And so far our experience here has been amazing they get back to you super quickly with questions or concerns you have.Dr Polotsky takes the time to talk to you and explain every detail of your journey and process also he talks to you directly and checks up on you where as in other facilities you go to your initial consultation and then never see your doctor again. For the first time after seeing so many doctors I am very confident that Dr. Polotsky and his team are going to give us our little miracle baby.
Received excellent care from prep through recovery. Channing and Taylor were excellent, knowledgeable, and made me feel very comfortable! Very pleased with the overall experience.
Shady Grove was a breath of fresh air after we wasted years at another fertility center. The care from Shady Grove has been personal, caring and accomodating. I was treated like a person and not a number or dollar sign. The entire team is amazing! Highly recoomend.
I had the pleasure of being treated by Dr. Polotsky at SGF, and we were extremely satisfied with his expertise and the level of care he provided. While the process did take some time, partly due to insurance factors, it was unquestionably worth the wait. SGFs approach to the entire journey, from IVF retrieval and transfer to bloodwork and beyond, is truly remarkable. The office is exceptionally well-managed.Its worth noting that communication can sometimes be challenging, but understanding that many other couples are in the same situation can help alleviate any anxiety. Throughout our time with the staff, we found them to be genuinely kind and caring, and when our journey concluded, we felt a sense of sadness to leave their care. Almost 7 weeks pregnant with our first transfer.
I am giving them 5 stars because I had such a positive and caring experience with my egg retrieval (and the care leading up to it). They are a team of highly experienced, down-to-earth professionals and you could NOT be in better hands. I am grateful for both Dr. Roeca and Dr. Polotsky, the anesthesiologists, the nurses (shoutout to both Lauren and Erin!), the front desk staff (Barbara rocks and I think knows everything!) and everyone in between whose names I didnt catch. I have also had very good experiences with their fellows.I nearly messed up the whole egg retrieval process day-of, but the amazing surgery team shifted and made it happen. How can I thank them?!Another thing Ive been impressed with is their educational modules that have guided us through the IVF process - and all the steps - plus the videos showing us how to do our own shots. We feel informed making difficult decisions as we navigate this complicated process. With that, their online portal and updated technology make it easier to stay in touch with the care team, find your test results, etc.Ive learned that dealing with fertility/ infertility and getting through it is a blend of trusting your care team to provide details and information PLUS staying on top of your own stuff. You MUST be involved in your own care. No matter what clinic you work with, expect some OCCASIONAL delays with information as the work they do is complex and they serve a lot of people. This happens in all medical settings especially as many places are overworked and talent is hard to find. I can say with 100% certainty that Shady Grove cares about their patients and wants to see them succeed and be happy.Overall, if I could give them 10 stars, I would. Thank you for being a light during this wild, roller-coaster process.
Amazing team! Always felt super comfortable and informed about my treatment process. We’re expecting April 2025!
Zannat, lead MA and Sonographer Sydney were so kind and excellent at their jobs. They deserve some recognition a raise :-)
I wish I could give them more stars! We had an amazing experience with SGF. We started discussing IVF at another fertility clinic and had a terrible experience, so decided to have a consultation with SGF before continuing with the other clinic. Dr Roeca was amazing and answered all of our questions and concerns. We are so thankful that we switched to SGF! The entire process went smoothly and we felt like Dr Roeca and all of the nurses and techs genuinely cared about us and our future family. They were quick to respond anytime I had a question…and I had a lot of questions! That helped me stay calm and positive, which I believe is a key to success with IVF. We were successful on the first try and now have a beautiful baby girl! I will be forever grateful to Dr. Roeca and the SGF team for making my dream come true!!
Pros:Doctors are great, smart and kindClinic seems to run smoothlyBoth of the above are night and day compared to Conceptions, and not surprisingly my results have been better at Shady Grove.Cons:Appointments seem to book several months outBilling department is a national operation, totally separate from the clinic, and shamefully incompetent.
Shady Grove Fertility – Thanks again for your expertise, support, professionalism, and efforts to help us make our beautiful son! We are forever grateful!
Dr. Polotsky, Stephanie, Kyler, Genne, every single nurse, everyone that does bloodwork, they were all AMAZING! I would recommend this place 1,000%. We had a LONG journey and they took the time to get to know us and to make us feel welcomed. We were always greeted with a smile and we got all the hugs when we needed them. We loved it here and will definitely come back!
We had a shockingly terrible experience here. The front desk was incompetent, unapologetic and sometimes rude. It seemed as if they had a problem with my husband from the get go when he showed up for his blood test that they failed to actually put in the schedule. There was zero apology but plenty of attitude. That kind of set the tone from there. They were gatekeeping and wouldnt let us schedule with our doctor. After we contacted the regional office they would only answer our phone calls if we use *67. The medical team was always great. De. Roeca was nice but we dont feel like she really listened to us. Its their way or the highway.
Dr. Polotzsky and his team were amazing throughout the entire process. I’ve loved the positivity and appreciate the care in making sure we had success! Currently 7 weeks pregnant with our first embryo transfer! SOO extremely grateful!
Dr Polotsky and the entire staff at Shady Grove have been the most amazing support system for my wife and over the past four years of going fertility treatments. We felt like we were a part of the team and we were all sharing in the same common goal. We received great communication to understand every step of the process. I could not recommend a better doctor and staff to turn to for this care. We appreciate them so much for all they have done for us!
Dr Polotsky was great! He listened to all our concerns and made sure we understood the whole IVF process. The nurses and ultrasound techs were great!
Was supposed to go in for an appointment on my only day off durning the week after working 12hour shifts for 4 days in a row. Only to find out that my appointment was already cancelled because of paperwork I never even received. Nor would I have had time to do it due to my work schedule that I made sure to make them aware of when I made the appointment. Wish the communication and service was better. Let alone the fact that I had been in contact with the clinic almost everyday over the phone this week. But no one said anything about me needing to do anything before my appointment even though I had asked multiple times if there was anything to be done. This was extremely frustrating but based off the other google reviews I don’t think I would have wanted to continue my fertility care here anyways.
We are so thankful we had Dr. Roeca and her team by our side during our fertility journey. Everyone here is so loving, supportive, and sympathetic. They are exactly the team youd want by your side during this emotional journey. Thank you Shady Grove!! We are now graduated to an obstetrician ❤️
Conceiving was a challenge for my wife and I. Being new to Colorado and city life, we faced difficulties in finding a trustworthy professional. However, upon meeting the team at Dr. Polotskys clinic, we immediately felt at ease. Despite encountering setbacks along the way, Dr. Polotsky and his team successfully alleviated our anxieties. Now, we are joyfully expecting our long-awaited miracle. The staff at the clinic is exceptional, consistently showing care and support towards my wifes well-being, while the nurses demonstrate kindness and compassion. Dr. Polotsky himself is not only attentive, but also maintains a personal connection through regular follow-up calls. We wholeheartedly endorse this practice and consider Dr. Polotsky an outstanding physician.
We are so incredibly grateful to Dr Roeca, the nursing team and everyone who works at Shady Grove! The level of professionalism, compassion and support that we experienced made the painful experience of infertility manageable. It might be routine, but they even sent a doctor to attend while I was getting fibroid removal surgery through another hospital. It felt incredibly comforting to have a SGF representative there while I was at my most vulnerable. After a second egg retrieval (finally successful!) we have embryos and are thrilled to be pregnant! While, we have graduated to going on to work with my OBGYN, I sort of wish I could stay with SGF through the whole pregnancy. We will be back when we are ready for another embryo transfer!Update - We have a beautiful and healthy baby boy! He is adorable and we are so thrilled that we worked with SGF.
The office was very professional and clear with their directions. When I had an issue after transfer the on call provider was prompt to speak with me and even called later to check in and helped coordinate an appt for the next day to make sure everything was okay. I felt very grateful to of had such a straight forward process, and had such confidence in my team. Will plan to continue with SGF as we grow our family.
Shady Grove Fertility,Lauren and I would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Roeca for her outstanding support and expertise in helping us achieve the greatest joy of our lives—a beautiful and healthy baby girl named Daniella, born through the IVF process. Our journey was indeed a long and arduous one, filled with multiple attempts and emotional ups and downs, but thanks to Dr. Roeca, we are now proud parents.Dr. Roecas persistence and commitment were truly remarkable. She never gave up on us, even when we faced setbacks. Her ability to adapt our treatment plan and explore alternative approaches showed her dedication to helping us achieve our dream of parenthood.Dr. Roeca, you have made an indelible impact on our lives, and for that, we are eternally thankful. Daniella is our greatest blessing, and we will forever cherish the role you played in bringing her into our world. With heartfelt thanks,-Dan and Lauren
Dr. Polotsky and the entire Shady Grove team were absolutely incredible. We are now successfully pregnant after years of working with other providers. We are so grateful for the kindness, professionalism, and care that SGF gave us.
I would highly recommend SGF, and Dr. Polotsky, to anyone who is seeking fertility treatment! Dr. Polotsky and his team were kind, caring and competent. I trusted them throughout the entire process. I was extremely happy with the results, and I attribute my success to their dedication and guidance.
The gratitude my husband and I feel towards Dr. Polotsky and the team of nurses, fellows, and ultrasound techs at Shady Grove (previously located for the majority of our care at CU Advanced Reproductive Medicine when he was located in that clinic in Central Park) cannot be put into words. After a year and a half of IUI, IVF, and a host of studies and interventions amidst that, we had our beloved son earlier this year. Dr. Polotsky was invested not only professionally but emotionally in our success. He rooted us on —displaying genuine, compassionate disappointment through our two miscarriages, and he celebrated alongside us with shouts of joy when our third pregnancy went successfully. I will never forget the checkins he would do during the lowest lows and the highest highs. The facility itself is beautiful, and it is a soothing and encouraging ambience in which to receive care. The approach to, stepwise, figuring out the source of our infertility was also well done and explained meaningfully as well. Essentially, the care we received there was cohesive and I will forever think of Dr. Polotsky and his team as part of our family.
Everyone here is so kind and supportive! I had a wonderful (and successful! 31 weeks along now) experience. Dr. Polotsky and his team are awesome, and the phlebotomists had snacks ready to go for me whenever I came in (they did a fantastic job, but I always get fainty). The on-call doctors and nurses always got back to me quickly whenever I had an after-hours concern, and I felt supported throughout my journey.
Unprofessional & very uncourteous.Do not take your business here, I encourage you to take your fertility needs elsewhere because you are nothing but a dollar sign to this place. Can’t leave my whole review but in shortOur initial appointment was on 2-27-2023 & we came into the doctors office Dr. Santoro was on her phone answering an email, I work in the medical field so I know there are times where you have to reply right away but its a pretty bad sign when the nurse acknowledges you before the doctor does. Dr. Santoro then mentioned that she would put me on a weight loss injection and said if it did not go through my pharmacy that she could get it from Canada(?) Seemed sketchy so I told her I would rather lose the weight on my own before I even wanted to think of trying injections. I was told to do 2 separate blood draws because they needed one during a period cycle & one w/out so, I went to get it scheduled and the lady had told me “Oh, just call us when you’re on your period and we will just poke you once” I had explained that I don’t have a regular period and that the doctor has specifically said to do 2 separate blood draws but she was insistent & said it was not necessary but said she would check & get back to me. 3 or 4 weeks went by & we called to get clarification since the office failed to follow up and they told him it would have to be 2 separate blood draws. Finally got my blood drawn on April 3rd. They had called me the same day & left a voicemail saying they needed my pharmacy information. I kept calling and kept getting sent to voicemail so I caved and left a voicemail with my pharmacy info on April 4th. April 10th my pharmacy called and said I had medication ready for pick up, the injection was being processed which I didnt want but I had asked about the one I needed for my period to start and they did not see that information and said they would reach out to the doctor for me. I called a week later to SGF and left ANOTHER voicemail and got a call back the next day on April 26th saying I had to REPEAT the blood work because it had been longer than 3 weeks. I understood that but I had told them at the time that I would like to speak to someone about not being charged because I had done what I needed to do but it was a mess up on their part. The lady I spoke with said she would let a manager know and they would call me. I went in again to do the same blood work on May 2nd and was told I had a balance due from the last blood draw, which I paid but told the lady that I was supposed to speak to a manager about this 2nd blood draw and explained the situation and she said I would have to speak to the financial person and that I could do that after the blood draw. So we did and she told me the same thing that they would talk to a manager about it and the manager would get in touch with me.We went in for my next blood draw and testing on May 18th and at the check in they mentioned the balance and I told them again that they had told me a manager would be in touch and still to no avail, I hadn’t heard from her. The lady at the front desk said that she would send her another message to follow up with me.On May 24th I had another appointment, but they did not tell me about the balance due so I was thinking, well, maybe they wrote it off or something because of the error on their part. Well, of course they just want their money and I came home to a bill.On May 25th, I called the number on the statement, was on hold for 36 minutes just to be told I had to speak to the office manager. I got off the phone and went to the patient portal and saw I had a message from the office manager Claire L just saying Please find attached your itemized receipt from your visit. This is your responsibilityI replied saying I need to speak with a manager on this matter & gave them 24 hours to contact me with nothing. I am ending this, discouraged, upset and beyond frustrated. We are requesting our records so we can take them elsewhere but to even get your medical records they charge a fee.
This clinic deserves 10 out of 5 stars. Period.I could go on and on about how amazing this clinic is, but if you are one of the unlucky ones experiencing fertility issues, you probably just want to know up front how effective they are, the costs associated, and how much the clinic is willing to work with you…especially if your insurance does not cover fertility. Well, keep reading. I highly recommend this clinic! We had heard IVF horror stories from so many people that we weren’t sure if we even wanted to try. My husband and I had consultations at a few clinics that felt cold and seemed as though they were just after our money. Dr. Polotsky never ever gave us this impression. In fact, Dr. Polotsky would call us himself with test results, even on Sundays. The clinic supported Saturday and Sunday hours for certain services, too. As you may have guessed, we used this clinic TWICE. We were only able to get two viable embryos, even after all the medications. Today, we have TWO beautiful children! Both rounds were 100% successful on the very first try. Dr. Polotsky and his team really know what they’re doing. Not only did we have two 100% successful rounds, we had way better prenatal care than someone who conceived the old fashioned way. We knew the health and gender before we were even pregnant. We were prescribed medications to prevent miscarriage. I mean, every step of the way we had support.I once said to Dr. Polotsky that people kept telling me to be prepared for loss because they had failed rounds of IVF themselves. He asked me if they were also patients of his. When I said they weren’t , he replied ‘that’s the issue’ because he gets results! He is not a cocky man, just really good at what he does.A teacher at my oldest child’s school had been going to a different clinic and had no success after several rounds. I sent her to see Dr. Polotsky and his team and she had her baby less than two months after I had mine!If you’re on the fence about pursuing fertility treatment, or not sure where to go, try this clinic!! It’s local in Colorado Springs, as well as in Denver. The staff is wonderful. The nurses are amazing! The doctors seem to work miracles. I cannot say enough great things about this place…I am a lucky mom of two today because of this clinic!
Dr Roeca and the entire staff of SGF were with us every step of our fertility journey. They truly supported us through the ups and downs of this process, and will always have a special place in our hearts. The ease and flexibility of making appointments was unlike any clinic I’ve ever been to, and the new location is beautiful, easily accessible and private. But the staff members make the experience so comfortable. Everyone (reception, phlebotomy, ultrasound, nurses, docs) treats you with warmth and encouragement, so you can really feel their genuine support. If you’re looking for an amazing team for fertility, I wholeheartedly recommend Dr Roeca and SGF!
I am in the medical field and have a great deal of experience with fertility I had my daughter at age 43 own eggs successfully in CA I moved here and called this clinic I almost did not share this review because I don’t like doing this but on the other hand people, patients who fall victim to places like this also have a right so I will post it to help others. My description of this establishment it’s doctors and faculty is that it is a JOKEThey have spend so much money making it look good because they know what they’re about to do is trick people into basically giving away money for nothing.I transferred records to them, Dr Polotsky has absolutely no experience clinically zero in terms of how he practices which is like a resident. He suggested an expensive Cash study on me paid him $900 cash it’s was a horrible experience a saline uterine study which he said is normal. A bunch of people in the room because he’s scared. He never followed up with me. He suggested a mental evaluation of me because I want to have a baby without a spouse and I do have another child this way and am a medical professional. No other clinic has requested this. He never contacted me or reviewed my records said their lab takes 4 weeks to see if they are compatible for receiving an embryo. Since I’ve successfully transferred the embryo to another clinic none of these things were said or done. They never pick up the phone. Overall being that we lay so much in this field and it’s such a hard process we deserve a truly competent experienced caring individual not a self preserving, scared, inexperienced money hungry unprofessional person with a facade for a office. I absolutely do not recommend this place to you. Horrible. There are better places and we deserve better than this treatment.
We are an LGBT+ couple who are feeling so much gratitude towards the staff at Shady Grove, Denver. Our fertility journey started years ago in which I had 3 failed IUIs. We chose another path to parenthood the next several years through fostering kiddos, and only recently decided to try fertility one more time towards the goal of a sibling to our most amazing child who is adopted. Early January ‘22 we started testing with Shady Grove. Dr. Roeca’s thoroughness in ensuring I received additional testing for a heart murmur has likely saved my life, as it led to my diagnosis of a congenital heart defect that will need monitored for my life, and especially so during pregnancy. Dr. Roeca helped me navigate to preconception consults and cardiology to ensure all was well. Finally, after months of testing, in June ‘22 we got the go ahead to proceed with fertility treatments! Dr. Roeca suggested trying IUI again after some changes I had made to my health over the years and fertility related test results, and we trusted her confidence. We are glad we did! Second medicated IUI was a success! The entire team at Shady Grove have been incredible to work with. We felt genuinely cared for, and are extremely grateful for our journey with Shady Grove.
We have worked with Dr. Polotsky since 2015. We first sought infertility care due to severe male factor infertility due to cancer treatments. We started at University or Colorado, where Dr. Polotsky performed IVF to conceive our first 2 children. When Dr. Polotsky moved to SGF Colorado, we knew we had to follow. At SGF we did one last frozen embryo transfer to conceive our 3rd child. We now have 3 beautiful children, which was once unthinkable after the cancer. Dr. Polotsky and his team were outstanding every step of the way. Dr. Polotsky is empathetic, caring, and always optimistic. He called us personally with updates (both good and bad). I still remember that first call way back in 2015–it was to deliver the bad news that we weren’t pregnant from our fresh transfer. I was crying on the phone at work, and Dr. Polotsky was so reassuring and kind. We just had our final call—this time Dr. Polotsky called to congratulate us on our 3rd newborn baby. :) I cannot recommend Dr. Polotsky and SGF highly enough!
ABSOLUTELY AWFUL customer service. DO NOT GO HERE for your fertility needs. I had an ultra sound and blood drawn to test for genetic diseases back in early November, the office never called to inform me that my test results were in. When I did finally call the office over a month later(after being put on hold for 20 min) they told me they did not have any record of my blood work/genetic disease testing and that I would have to come in and get tested again. Also that was my responsibility to call back and check on the results of the ultrasound, their office would not call to tell me the test results were in. I then scheduled a Telehealth appointment to review my ultrasound results, the earliest appointment was another 1.5 months out. Now, nearly 3 months after my ultrasound, I have been sitting on the Telehealth zoom call for 30 min and the Dr is a no show. Ive been on hold trying to get through to the Shady Grove Denver office, they finally tell me that the Dr. is running behind and they may need to reschedule my appointment. The lack of communication, misplacing my bloodwork and blaming it on me, and complete disregard for my time is unacceptable for a Drs office and I will absolutely not be continuing my fertility care with Shady Grove and you shouldnt either.
I am shocked to see the two negative reviews here. My husband and I worked with Dr. Polotsky and his team for about a year until we conceived our miracle baby, and they were WONDERFUL. They were compassionate and patient throughout the IVF process. Dr. Polotsky is incredibly kind and great at what he does. Many steps of the IVF process are mentally and physically exhausting, and sometimes confusing, and he has a way of demystifying these steps and bringing light and positivity to the situation. He is very thorough in his explanations of the science behind the process and is realistic when explaining what to expect. We graduated from the IVF office when I was 6 weeks pregnant. Fast forward to my baby turning 1 month and I wrote Dr. Polotsky a thank you card, not expecting any sort of response. Roughly 45 weeks after the last time he had completed a procedure with me, and 40 weeks since I was a patient of his office at all, he called to congratulate my new family of three and ask for updates. Knowing how busy he is, it really meant a lot that he took the time to do this and truly shows how much he cares about his patients. I would recommend Dr. Polotsky and his team to anyone experiencing infertility, and will be back myself for baby #2! I cannot thank this team enough for bringing my pride and joy to fruition!!
While my experience at Shady Grove led to a successful pregnancy, there was definitely some frustration with the practice along the way. I was only ever doing Clomid + Ovidrel timed intercourse yet every time I went in they asked about my “next IUI” or “this IUI cycle” which made it feel like they didn’t see me as an individual or took the time to remember exactly where I was at in the process. Everyone was friendly, but the care never felt very personal. I also had some frustration in the time to get records sent from them elsewhere which I think just stems from being such a large, national company. Overall I am grateful for the outcome, but frustrated with the assist through the process.
Great experience here, and Dr. Roeca is wonderful. Sometimes their scheduling protocol got to be frustrating, but ultimately the front desk team worked to accommodate me (they are all lovely). Highly recommend!
Very fast check in, and amazing ultrasound tech. All very friendly and helpful. Thank you!
I can’t say enough good & amazing things about Dr.Polotsky & his team nurse Jodi & nurse Kaylee at shady grove fertility Denver. They are miracle workers & have made mine & my husband’s dreams come true we are now pregnant with our sweet little miracle expecting this summer 2022. I will deliver at 45 years old. I can’t believe it! I flew from California to Denver several times because I knew I would be in great hands with this team. Dr.Polotsky, Jodi & Kaylee truly care always calling & checking up on me with each stage of the ivf of process explaining everything I needed to do on my calendar. Going through secondary infertility was stressful enough. We invest so much time, resources & effort in this IVF process you want a team who will fight for you & that’s what they did for me every step of the way. What matters to you definitely matters to them. Just listen to everything Dr.Polotsky, Jodi & Kaylee tells you to do & follow their lead they know what they are doing it’s evident that they love what they do in how they showed me such great care & kindness. They are very prompt with their communication they answer all your questions respond to your emails immediately you never have to wonder what the next step would be they explain everything thoroughly & clearly. Dr.Polotsky even called me in the middle of the night to check on me after my transfer to remind me to take my progesterone shots every night. He called randomly to check on me even after I graduated from shady grove to my OB. What I miss the most is being able to talk to them every day they gave me hope! They went above & beyond to make our dreams a reality & here I am feeling the miracle of life grow within me at 44 years old. I’m still pinching myself! The best decision I have ever made was choosing Shady grove fertility Denver! Thank you SGF Denver for all you did to help us! If you go with them you will be thankful you did! You won’t regret it!
I am extremely thankful and blessed because of Dr. Polotsky, I haven’t met a Dr. with so much confidence, professionalism and very knowledgeable . He made my dreams come true, he is very personable, caring and overall just an awesome Dr. and a wonderful person!I wish all Drs. could be like Dr. Polotsky.Dr. Polotsky is the only reason I will return to Shady Grove, period.
I am beyond grateful for everything Dr. Roeca and her team has done for me. I appreciate how she really took the time to figure out what was going on and never brushed me off. I loved how honest she was and didnt sugar coat anything, which is appreciated when youre already having issues and dont want false hope. Thank you Dr. Roeca for everything. 😊
This clinic is very unprofessional and does not communicate well. They have left my family waiting and waiting to the point that they have to retake their blood tests. Unfortunately they have charged another fee for their mistake on not getting back with results in time. They have acknowledged their mistake but continue to charge a fee. This has not been the only occurrence. Our business is done here after paying another fee to transfer the medical records. Seems like there is a pattern here ($$$).
TERRIBLE. Lost my labs nobody could give me any answers on them, will drag things out for MONTHS to only give you no real diagnosis. Will treat you like your being breed and have no empathy when you miscarry. THEY WILL say your insurance isn’t covered and it was after I had to fight for it with multiple phone calls. Very disorganized
After seeking a fertility specialist for over a year, we finally found one who would first listen to us above all else. Don’t be fooled by the all the fancy-looking fertility clinics on the South Side of Denver with their marbled floors and expensive artwork. Those places are only interested in taking advantage of the emotionally-compromised position that you find yourself in as an aspiring parent to take as much of your money as they can by rushing you to take the most expensive fertility treatments they offer without much regard for your wishes.Unlike those other clinics, Dr. Polotsky and his team at Shady Grove Fertility operate their business from a modest office building in Greenwood Village. Dr. Polotsky listened to our needs and took incremental steps towards helping us achieve a pregnancy. We did not rush into IUI or IVF, but instead started with a focus on our own health condition to improve our chances of conceiving a baby. There was never a rush to move on to the next level of treatment so we still had opportunities to achieve a natural pregnancy. It was only after a reasonable amount of trying that we began to take further fertility treatments - first IUI and then IVF - to become pregnant. Again, all through this process the focus was on mother’s health with no rush in further treatments until we were convinced that we needed them.As long as fertility treatments remain uninsured, they will remain expensive and they will likely impact your personal finances. When going to such lengths to achieve a pregnancy, it is worth your time and money to have a clinic that truly seeks to be your ethical partner in your desire to have a baby. For this very reason, I give Dr. Polotsky and his caring team at Shady Grove my highest recommendation for fertility care and treatment.
We had a great experience with Dr. Roeca and the staff. They are still transitioning into a new system so some processes are a little difficult. Dr. Roeca is really understanding and actually listened to me and my husbands concerns. We mostly spoke with the staff down in the Springs but those with whom I did speak in the Denver office were friendly and helpful.
After disappointments in 3 fertility clinics in Denver, I can finally say SGF is the best.
Switched here from another clinic and so far SGF has been a model of what medical care should be like. An absolute pleasure. Really happy to be working with them.
The help and support I received was out of this world. I was taken care of by a wonderful team. Thanks guys.
Nurse/Patient Coordinators Teale, Jessica and Lauren are fantastic! They were very communicative and answered all my questions in a timely manner! They made a tough process much easier :)
Everyone at Shady Grove Denver has been professional, easy to reach, and left me feeling like I was in good hands. The facilities are welcoming and effective.

This place is so RUDE/SHADY. I have had to call multiple times for my medical records. They send what they want on their time. Front desk is super rude. Please save your money. They talk about other facilities not being up to par but they are the worst. WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE ITS YOUR FAULT. STAY AWAY FROM HERE .A FOLLOW UP. WENT TO CNY WHICH THEY TELL YOU NOT TO GO. PRICE IS LESS THAN HALF OF WHAT THEY CHARGE. ALSO I GAVE BIRTH TO A HEALTY BABY GIRL. SAVE YOUR MONEY GO TO CNY IN COLORADO SPRINGS.
So grateful to have found SGF. Where others have said nothing was wrong, I was met with open ears and compassion by SGF Denver and Dr Roeca.

Had a fantastic experience at SGF Denver. Highly recommend.
Staff is extremely rude and disorganized they will lose your records
This place does not care about you, just your money.
