I came in just before closing and got very attentive service… on a Saturday. Well located on a shopping strip close by. Affiliated with our hospital system. All good. Policy of taking credit card as back up is a new trend which I’m not so keen about. Blessed to have good coverage.
Yesterday I took my daughter to this urgent care facility and my child had her tonsils removed and I wanted a refill for her to be able to breath because of her asma. She didnt prescribe her a refill and she committed on my daughters weight saying she was overweight ,how rude I was just telling her about the soft foods that I was giving my daughter and had mentioned I give her pancakes and she said she doesnt need to eat that because of her weight, this is the first and last time I go there. Im going back to the urgent care in Springfield there are more respectful and friendly to the patients.
I have been to this urgent care a number of times for my kids and myself have always had a good, smooth experience. But this morning was different. I want to start off by saying that the nurse assistant who worked with us for most of the visit was wonderful. She was kind, funny, and extremely patient and compassionate towards my 8 year old, who has anxiety over medical visits. It was our interaction with the physician assistant that was upsetting. It seemed as though she does not work with kids much. Or she simply lacks appropriate bedside manner, particularly with children. She mentioned a very scary condition, which my daughter had a small chance of having based on a one-point-in-time lab result, in front of my child, without providing me with sufficient context or explanation. She also said we must immediately follow-up with our pediatrician and rush to the emergency room if things dont improve. Now, Im totally fine with being told these things, but not with my daughter within earshot -- let alone with her right there next to me. When the PA left the room, my child was in tears, scared she had a debilitating disease and needed to go to the ER. I comforted her and explained that the PA was going through the laundry list of possibilities to tell us, but even my child said, why did she have to say it if she isnt sure? Ive never had a provider do this, and I have medically fragile twins who spent a lot of time at Childrens Hospital. In the future, I will not bring my youngest here if I know this PA is on duty. My daughter left this visit very anxious about her health even though the final diagnosis was a common infection easily treated with antibiotics.
I love Inova GoHealth. With three little ones, we are there almost every month for an ear infection or strep throat. We are usually in and out in less than an hour. I have waited over three hours to be seen at other Urgent Care facilities nearby. I highly recommend this practice and will continue to use them for non-emergency care.
I was visiting from out of town and needed someone to look at a a wound from an earlier accident. I was concerned about possible infection.I arrived about 8:30 AM and had a short wait of about 25 minutes. The staff were all amazing. They were positive, genuinely concerned and efficient. There were signs of infection so they treated me with antibiotics, provided prescriptions and had me return the following day for a follow-up because they knew I would be traveling back home and wanted to make certain I was improving.Great organization with great staff.
Great tech and nursing staff, especially Eunice who helped me (69 yo) and my father (101 yo) get checked in quickly and oversaw every aspect of our care. We both came in with illness (me) and injury (Dad). She helped us throughout our visit. Then Dr. Brian Ewing called me after culture showed specific bacteria that required a different antibiotic, and gave me clear directions to resolve my issue. This place takes care of you from the moment you enter the door to phone follow-up as needed. FIVE STARS!!
I very much appreciated the care provided by Nurse Practitioner Patricia Carnes. She spent ample time diagnosing the issue and providing advice for recuperation. You are fortunate to have Ms. Carnes on your team.I realize there are space limitations in the waiting room but in this era of Covid and other contagious conditions, it would be helpful and healthy to have an area where patients are separated more than they are on the bench in the waiting area. People seated near me had very pronounced coughs.
Infuriating experience with Inova Urgent Care, as always. Specifically needed an urgent care with an xray after my wife had a accident at home. No way to check on the website whether the site has an xray machine. Most of our locations do, per website. Lies. Either they have no machine or no tech. Phone tree only regurgitated info on the website with no option to talk to a person. Registration was infuriating and pulled up the wrong medical records. PLEASE, just tell which services are available at which locations. It would save all of us so much wasted time and stress.
My experience was great! Not a long wait and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. They weren’t able to diagnose my issue but referred me to a local ER that could help.
Quick, delightful staff, and amazingly competent! They took Quick and careful care of my wound, ensured that I had no pain, and then recommended a tetanus shot as a precaution because they saw it had been more than 5 years since my last shot. How? Well, they are connected to INOVA and can see my shot history! They cant do everything an ER can do, but they are perfect for urgent care for many health needs.
Very impressed with the care I received at this facility. The doctor and the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and caring. Will return here if the need arises again.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting InovaUrgent Care and was fortunate enough to be seen by NP Mancoske.NP Mancoske exemplifies what it means to be an outstanding healthcare professional. She was incredibly patient, taking the time to listen to all my concerns without ever making me feel rushed. Her attentiveness and genuine care were evident in every interaction. What impressed me most was NP Mancoskes depth of knowledge about my specific issues. She explained my condition and treatment options in a way that was both thorough and easy to understand, ensuring I felt informed and confident about the next steps. Her ability to break down complex medical information into clear, manageable pieces was truly remarkable.Additionally, NP Mancoske demonstrated a keen attention to detail and a commitment to finding the best solution for my health concerns. She asked insightful questions and provided thoughtful, personalized recommendations. It was clear that she is not only highly skilled but also deeply dedicated to her patients well-being.In summary, my experience with NP Mancoske was exceptional. Her patience, knowledge, and compassionate approach set her apart as a top-notch doctor. I am incredibly grateful for the care she provided and would highly recommend her to anyone seeking a knowledgeable and empathetic healthcare professional.
7/13/24This visit is a Deja vu from 2016..also from Inova…went to the doctors, feeling really bad,The doctor said viral infection…nope, did not give me any thing…that bad ? #$&@% went forA month..till I got over. Unfortunately my doctor, Doctor Matthews is off that day.Today, the doctor said, hummmm viral not bacterial…wait at least 5/7 days, no RX prescribed,if condition persist..worsen ☹️☹️☹️, go back for another check up…I mentioned to the doctor I’ve been sick twice this year…this time I can’t prolong anything..Me…no young spring chicken…Staff Nurse Eunice…caring , courteousThank you.
Nurse Mamta was like an angel. She is so dedicated and informative. Its hard to find good, patient, and mentally sharp providers who take the time to answer all your questions and go over your care plan in detail afterwards. I was really impressed and grateful for her thorough service. Great bedside manner too. She really cares.
I have now been to this clinic twice. It is beautiful, clean, the staff are wonderful, professional and kind. I am so happy to have discovered it!
The entire experience was excellent: online appointment, reception and medical care. I will use this Urgent Care office again for me and my family.
Both the doctor and technician who treated me were competent, professional, and caring. The wait time to be seen was short and very reasonable. I will return if needed in the future, and will highly recommend this facility to others.
The doctor was obviously very knowledgable and gave me good medical advice. She was kind and courteous and I felt very taken care of.
They refused seeing me just cause i do not have insurance and they could not make monthly payments as well. So either pay 200$ upfront or they refuse providing care to you. Lady was nice about explaining it . This is ridiculous inova or gohealth you can do better. I ended up going to patient first.
The front desk and medical staff are excellent. The clinic is organized, clean and well maintained. Also, I love the proximity of the clinic to where I live.
Total waste of time. I even called ahead. Lady at the front desk was asking question, but had no intentions of hearing any of the answer. It like she was just reading her script, but didnt want to actually do any work. Total attitude problem. Now I have to find somewhere to take my eight year old with a severe swollen eye. Urgent care, not very urgent. I would advise you to find a place where people care about their patients.
I had an amazing experience going to the one on Pickett Rd. NP Joel and MA Meredith (I’m not sure her name) were both nice and kind and very professional:)
Would highly recommend!Office: very modern & cool.Bedside manner: doc had a great one!Check-in process was a little rocky: kiosk gave an option to complete by cell phone, which I did not choose (thinking there was another option), but apparently, it just dropped me & didnt add me to the queue!! Luckily, it wasnt too busy.It was Saturday of the holiday weekend, and the only place we could get urgent lab work done--and we got the results quickly! --otherwise, we would have to wait until Tues. morning, results not til Thurs.
The people are great but I wouldn’t go here again, at least not with my current insurance deductible. It’s one of the most expensive urgent cares, a visit cost is $300 before any tests and insurance coverage, $20 preg test. I thought urgent cares were around $175. They also automatically billed my credit card, a week before the paper bill even came in the mail, without my authorization about 3 weeks after my visit. I called to ask about that and they said I signed an agreement, and that I was supposed to get an email around 72 hours prior. This was never pointed out to me during visit, and I never got an email and I confirmed they had the right one. Was not in spam. So I owed $188 for a quick visit here for a common ailment, after insurance. The exam rooms also have all glass doors that look aesthetic, but don’t go all the way to the ground so you can hear what others are saying on both sides. Try to use your insurance’s virtual visit option instead.
Securing an appointment online was easy. The copay was low ($15). The wait was short. Staff were very attentive and answered all of my questions. The prescriptions were sent directly to my pharmacy and were waiting for me when I arrived 30 min later. Best of all, I am feeling much better after a couple of days.
The staff are genuinely kind, compassionate, caring, and true professionals! Dr. Javier is one in a million professionals!
Wonderful, friendly and professional care can be found here. The facility is new and very clean. They do thorough examinations and actually send labs out for more rigorous testing, if required. They do not just rely on rapid testing to guide treatment. I found my go-to urgent care! Whew :)
The Nurse practitioner and staff were kind, efficient and easy to work with. I would highly recommend everyone to go there.
I wouldn’t recommend this location due to inaccurate diagnosis and lack of next steps.I went to this location for high fever a couple days ago. They did flu Covid strep rapid tests on me, 10 minutes later the provider walked in and told me they messed up something and they were re-developing the results so it’s gonna be another 10 minutes waiting. Eventually they told me all rapid tests were negative, then the provider was very confident it must be Covid: they added a PCR test, and started talking about they could prescribe me Covid medicine when it came back positive. So I had to ask, what if it came back negative, they said it was a good question it might be some bacterial infection but they didn’t mention any clear next steps in that case. At the end of that day they just prescribed some antibiotics and discharged me. Next day the PCR came back negative, and I called back there is still no clear next step, so I had to follow the instruction of taking the antibiotics but my fever has been lasting for four days and still counting.Since my fever lasts for too long, today I went to another urgent care to see what’s going on. Guess what, the other urgent care quickly confirmed I’m flu A positive, and told me I should stop taking the antibiotics I got from this INOVA place because antibiotics don’t work for flu virus and caused diarrhea. Sadly because this INOVA place’s inaccurate diagnosis I missed the window of using Tamiflu, I have tough out the rest of the high fever by myself.I will never go back to this location and suggest y’all go to other urgent cares who have been in business for much longer time with relatively reasonable reputation. This location won’t help you find out what’s really causing your sickness and may jeopardize your recovery.
This is a new clinic in the Pickett shopping center! Its efficiently run with a kind and very professional staff.
Never again— provided 0 advice on follow up care. You would think 3 years into the pandemic they would give you better care advice. Had no clue on treatment!
Never visit them. Their mistake caused me $200 additional out of pocket expense and they have not reverted me on my billing concerns even after several follow-ups.
Great place to go and get help on the weekend. The nurses and techs were great and the NP was very professional and caring.
Fast, friendly, and efficient. Best urgent care experience yet. From reception, to MA to PA. A+!
Very responsive physician - listened well.
I appreciated the short wait and the helpfulness of the staff and doctor.
Everyone was very nice. It was an easy and quick trip. Thank you everyone for your help and treatment.
Clean facility, but their systems and record keeping technology is terrible.
Very little wait time. Friendly customer service.
Waited 2 hours today evening to be seen by an incompetent nurse !Dont waste your time
The staff was wonderful. Very kind and caring.
You are great 👍
Very professional, very efficient, very clean!
Efficient and professional!
Excellent experience all around.
Professional, knowledgeable, and caring team
The staff member at the front desk was incredibly rude and resistant to answering any questions about cost of services or items provided. I asked for an idea of the out of pocket cost for a boot, and also asked for information on how specialized a boot fitting is, and she walked out of the room rather than answer. At every interaction, she obviously did not want to be there or have any interest in patient well-being.I was billed for self-pay despite having submitted insurance information. The doctor herself was very nice, but this facility should be a last resort for truly urgent matters.
