So fyi this location doesn’t do free testing. Got to this place early as soon as they opened, just for them to say they don’t do testing and “you have to go the Ft. Lauderdale downtown location” and given this card in the photo this place should not be advertised on the AHF website as a free testing location and there’s a previous question that answered stating they do which is false!

If you can on the very rare chance that you actually speak to the doctor she is very nice but the team she has is absolute garbage, you will never get through to anyone there, ever. They are less that worthless! UPDATE My doctor apparently retired 3 weeks ago with no notice even though they said they mailed one out I never got one and I had a telehealth visit today with her that they just decided to let pass without letting me know or giving me an alternate or anything I sat and waited for 2 hours to be called absolutely unacceptable there is no reason to stay at this doctor now that she has retired I will definitely be going elsewhere

Not sure where I would be without the help of AHF and particularly the Oakland Park team. Dr Merritt has looked after me for many years. Professional and knowledgeable and something lost in healthcare today. She is kind. Alberto and the front office are always so kind and welcoming and make you feel like family. Phlebotomists are awesome and I am a difficult person to draw from but they are the best. Cassandra is always amazing helping me in so many ways. And Allie who works the insurance is really on top of things. All over AHF thanks for providing something that changes lives all over the world and for me personally.

Ive gone to AHF since they opened here. always been happy with the services & staff as well as PHP . Also the authorization division is very helpful as is Cassandra the coordinator . Dr Holding i really like her she is on top of all my issues and caring. sofie who does the blood work is a doll never an issue always pleasant. i have lots of health issues w my heart & diabetic they have never denied me any care for several surgeries mrds specialists etc . yes the patient has to be on top of things but thats everywhere you go . Pete the case manager who helped me get set up was great i know he is at the imperial point location now. in addition the new Lyft car service to & from doctors & hospitals is a blessing. satisfied customer over 10 years .

AHF Oakland Park is a great service provider for those who are in need of their services. The fact that the AHF Pharmacy is in the same area is even better and quite helpful and convenient. The entire staff of the pharmacy and the doctors office are beyond supportive, helpful, and remarkably nice. And the location is impeccable. I recently moved just outside of the downtown Fort Lauderdale Area, basically next door to the AHF Location on Andrews, but because of the help and fantastic services I receive at the Oakland Park location, I still go the extra distance to keep my same doctor and go to this specific location.

Although Doctor G is great and Cassandra the best, support staff is a Dumpster fire. I have been a client since 2001. After years of enduring staff rude, careless attitude, failure to answer phones.... Ever, failure to secure refills timely, failure to return calls timely, these are the staws that broke the camels back. I am out of here. Worst of all of the staff is the office manager, Gavin. Do your self a favor and find another place to seek your services, you will regret coming here. As point of reference this is the first online review I have ever wrtitten for any organizationion. That is how bad this place has declined over the recent years, that it drove me to warn others.

Terrible top to bottom. No eye contact from staff, just avoidance at all costs. Unprofessional. 4 doctors in 4 months after Cuenca left. One I never actually met, yet she is still listed as my doctor at the pharmacy. My doctor just cuts off medications with no notice to me. I go to the pharmacy, and complain, they say theyll send a request , I go to the clinic, and I cant talk to anyone, they tell me to call. I call. Theres dozens of options on the phone menu--none of them are a live person. Back to the pharmacy. ...Its endless.I do more work than my clinic staff and pharmacy. combined. They should pay me. What a horrible way to spend my days as a long term survivor.

Dr. Michael M Bergman, Cassandra, Pete Povelli, The Colonel, Barbara, and many other staff members I’m forgetting to mention are always so very kind, professional, and accommodating to me.Dr. Bergman is quickly filling the void that my favorite physician, (Dr. Michael Cuenca), left behind upon his absence.Thank you AHF for finally finding another great primary doctor!

I think its time to switch! I have been to three doctors in three months, I called 32 times and couldnt even get a mailbox that worked. Im at my wits end with the staff. Finally got a staff member by dialing a random number. If my prescriptions arent refilled by the end of the day its back to Care Resources I go . . .

This front office staff is awful, had to call medicare.gov on them this am. My partner of 20 years who suffers from Dementia, and parkinsons , was refused blood work this am. When virus hit this past year staff did not even have ppe, Had to go out and buy them some. The way they treat patients up front, is undignified, and unacceptal. The ladies Sofi, and Cassandra are great. But, had to leave this am. On phone with medicare to file complaint

I was happy with my first doctor (Dr. Cuenca) and the 2nd one. The 3rd one was a temp and I wasnt even told I was seeing a new doctor. I dont think he had read any of my history and wanted to send me to a specialist and really wasnt listening to anything I was telling him. About to have my 4th Doctor in 12 months in September. I Was told today that because it s a new doctor I cant get a refill I need today unless I make an appointment to come in first. Some of the staff there are great (thats why I gave them 2 stars) but, overall I dont feel like the organization as a whole cares about my health at all

Their AHF designation is meaningless. Save your health and go to another site because, at this location, youre just a piece of meat. But raise hell about it at AHF county level when you leave.Office and clinic staff are robots who typically refuse to even look you in the eye, let alone take any serious concern about how youre feeling. If youre sick, youre treated as toxic. Med techs are incompetent (three tries/fails for a BP? Really?) If you ask for help, youll be ignored (i.e., not my job).Staff clearly has no training in this specialty...and doesnt care any more than someone at the BK drive up window.

Having an appointment and waiting over 30 minutes to be seen. Placed in a room, vitals taken and waiting another 20 minutes to see Dr. Hegler, all during my one hour lunch break. Was scheduled for an elective surgery two months ago and to be seen by 2 other doctors and 2 different lab draws, to be told 4 days before scheduled surgery that my potassium level was too high and that I was not medically cleared for surgery. Looking at previous labs, Dr Hegler failed to address my potassium levels in the past.Time to charge PCP and maybe insurance plans

Let’s be clear. NURSE Practitioner Maureen Greenwood is NOT a medical Dr. NOT A PHYSICIANShe feels because she has a doctorate she should be called Dr.SHE is the one telling staff AND patients to call her Dr.She is incompetent dismissive and poorly trainedWhat she is doing is dangerous on so many levelsOk she has a doctorate in NURSINGOutside a medical clinic dealing with life threatening illnesses it is ok to call her DrBut she is misleading patientsPotentially 3 yrs in prison and 5 yr loss of license plus finesAHF knows this and allows it to continueVERY DANGEROUS
