The staff was polite, efficient and caring. I was able to make my appointment online and communicate with staff through texting.Filled out my paperwork online and used electronic signature. Didnt have a long wait, personal listened to my concerns and explained everything that was happening. I used the Great Neck office for my mammogram and the Garden City office for my exam. 2 thumbs up to both offices. 👍🏻👍🏻
Whoever can sit here and give good reviews is crazy. I was at the office over a year ago. They all misdiagnosed me with what was ectopic pregnancy after many visits. On top of that I’ve been harassed by the billing department since November 2023, monthly regarding a $19 payment. My insurance told me I owe $0 as a copay for any of the 10 visits I had made in other locations as well. Tell me how that makes sense. Same procedures being done and yet this location wants to say my insurance is expecting me to pay. Something sounds off here…Not to mention, the receptionist when I was there last year barely looked up or even spoke English with the 2 second interaction I had with her. And then scheduled someone who was pregnant and there the same time as me for an appointment under my name 3 months later.Bottom line, don’t recommend.
I should have never came to this place after reading all the 1 star reviews but decided to give them a chance. I was having severe pains in my ovaries due to ovarian cysts to the point where I was hospitalized the next day, the staff at this clinic couldn’t care less about my health issues. My “doctor” who saw me was a nurse practitioner who didn’t even care about my concerns or my pain levels and brushed it off telling me to take advil (for pain that morphine at the hospital couldn’t even help with) I’ve dealt with doctors due to my PCOS my whole life and have never been treated with such lack of care before. It was shocking to me due to the pain I was in.When I arrived at the clinic my insurance was going to start two weeks after my appointment so I had told the staff I had no problem paying out of pocket, it was never about the money. I asked the front desk if anything isn’t covered if I’d be able to bill my insurance after it’s active since they accept it she told me yes. I was told the new patient visit with tests and a sonogram would cost $490 which I paid in full on my card, the next day I get emails, 20+ phone calls and texts saying I owe them $775 in medical bills/tests. When I went back into the clinic they told me I cannot bill the insurance and I have to pay the $775 out of pocket since “it wasn’t covered in my patient visit” while I was told everything was covered in the $490.I later was booked for a follow up at a different clinic (which I never booked myself) I called them and asked to cancel and book an appointment at this clinic they said yes and told me a follow up is $225, which I agreed to pay to check my results. When I arrived they told me a follow up is $500 and up which makes no sense to me how a follow up costs more than a new patient appointment. I canceled it and told them I will not be returning as I was billed incorrectly and told the wrong price for a follow up.It’s not about the money but the lack of knowledge the staff has is absurd. The carelessness for your health issues is saddening, I cannot imagine planning your care with this place.
Do not go here! They will never call you about bloodwork. It took me A MONTH to get anyone to call me about my bloodwork and I still dont have answers. I Had my bloodwork drawn about a month and a half ago. I was told that the facility would be contacting ME when the bloodwork came in to go over the results. The bloodwork has been available for THREE WEEKS. No one has called me. I was told today that thebdoctor had not even reviewed my bloodwork yet. Today I had to call them and It took 15 phone calls to try to get someone on the phone. I was then told the DOCTOR was in between patients and would give me a call at 1pm. The it went to 3pm. Then it was sometime before 7pm. FINALLY they call me at 9:30pm when im almost asleep. It was then not the doctor calling me but some nurse (I was told that the doctor was pushing back bc she was with patients so then this delay didnt even make sense if the doctor wasnt calling me). They then didnt apologize and had no reason why they hadnt called me for 3 almost 4 weeks. I then asked when the doctor would be calling me and they had no estimate. I asked if it would be sometime before next year and she said “she had no idea” very sarcastically. The nurses name was crystal and she was extremely rude and unprofessional. DO NOT come here as no one here as good bedside manners and they will just collect your money.
Do not bother with the Garden City office. I can only hope the other facilities are better ran. I can never get through via phone and the patient care center is basically useless and tells me to text the office. Then the operator over text tells me to use the patient portal it will be quicker. If you need a prescription you better begin reaching out a month in advance. It is very disheartening to say the least. When it came to my actual visit the doctor was very knowledgeable and kind. However it felt as if the staff was looking for anything possible to bill to insurance. For example, all other offices (that I know of) have always prescribed oral birth control by the year and yet this office requires you to return in 6-months for an appointment, even though you arent due for your annual check-up at that point. It just seems like an excuse to get you into the office (wait extremely long) just to meet with the doctor for 5 minutes.I like to believe I am extremely patient and it takes a lot for me to leave a negative review but if I could save someone their peace of mind please consider making an appointment at a different center - the second my insurance changes I will certainly do so.* UPDATE * I just showed up to my annual breast exam that the Garden City office manager CONFIRMED with me she will fax my prescription over for - well, I am at the appointment and they never received a single fax, therefore I can’t be seen. Again I cannot emphasize enough to not go to this office. You will continually be left frustrated.
Its incredible with this place. 2 weeks ago they did blood tests on me to see if Im pregnant and urine tests to see if I have a urinary tract infection and to this day they have not deigned to call me to give me the results and the response when I text or call them is that the results would take 7 to 14 days, that is, so long for results like that. How incompetent, please avoid this place!
Horrible experience. I’ve been coming here for over a year and the first visits were fine. But the last 2 visits have been horrible. 1st my labs result took over a month, they said it was going to be 2 weeks, I was waiting for very important lab result and can you imagine the anxiety having to wait almost 3 more weeks! When they finally got my result they told me to wait for a doctor to call me in the following 2 days, nobody called me! Then I call them and they said my dr is not longer working at this clinic!! What? And nobody contacted me! Thankfully I had my annual check coming up so I waited for them to give me the results that day. I ended up waiting almost 2 months to have my labs results. I decided to give them another opportunity and went for an ultrasound, just for an ultrasound and waited over 2 hours!! Horrible service!
Horrible experience. My doctor did not care about my issues AT ALL. I started crying because of the issues I was having and she brushed me off. She then gave me a card, mid crying, and asked me to go on google and give her a 5 star review.I would also like to note that they never called me back with my results. I called them for 2 months straight, left 100 voicemails, and I was completely ghosted.
They always cancel my appointments I have been waiting for almost 6 months and then they canceled. When I call nobody answers the phone. I would recommend not to go to this location horrible customer service. And also when I was pregnant they never sent my report to the hospital where I gave birth and my baby now hes having done 3 surgery already. Im very disappointed because that is very irresponsible .
I have been coming to this location for over a year but today I had the best experience with the PA Jeanine. She had great bedside manner and she was thorough with my examination and answering any questions I had. It was the most comfortable experience that I have had there! She is an absolute gem!
****UPdate at the bottom****I had a terrible experience at this medical facility. My appointment was at 12pm, and I was left waiting in a room for 2 hours while they continued to see other patients. This caused me to almost be late to pick up my child from school. To make matters worse, I received a bill for $400 because they used Labcorp and performed a procedure that was not approved by my insurance company. I believe they are engaging in unethical practices. I strongly advise others to be cautious when considering this facility for medical care.UPDATE:After texting Ash and being told I would receive a call from Cindy his manager, I waited three days and never received a call from her. Despite waiting another week, I took matters into my own hands and called her, leaving a voicemail, but received no response. It has been 3 weeks and I have not been contacted at all. I am utterly disappointed with the lack of follow-through after being told that they would love to speak with me and make things right.
This office is a joke. Went in for annual exam. It took 3 persons to draw my blood and 3 persons around it to watch. They still cannot finish the 6 tubes. Ended referring me to LabCorp to finish the the remaining 4 tubes. Each person poked around my arm trying to find the vain. Both arms are bruised. Staff is undertrained. When the test result is out, they ask me to call to make appointment for the result. It has been over a week I cannot reach out to them after calling 10 times. And average wait is 20 min. Not only did I call, text, and leaving message on the portal, I was told that they will call me. They never did. Why is it so difficult just to give the result or maybe write a summary in the portal or do follow-up in the phone like any other doctor office? Your time is valuable so as mine. Doctors are kind and knowledgeable. But I think its the monkeys that are running the office. No respect to patients time or money. This office should be closed or be sued for patient negligence.
I been coming here for 2 years and the doctors here are great. Unfortunately, the office staff is very lacking here. I was prescribed medication that would required preapproval. Before leaving the office, I was told that if I needed anything to please contact their office managers and office number and they can pass the information and take care of anything they need to take care of. Well, I been reaching out to them for a week and they don’t pick up, return calls, answer texts messages and etc. I finally got a response from an office manager and it was super delayed with misguided information. She sent paperwork back to my insurance and it was missing information each time which forced me to follow up again and again with repeats of getting empty dial tones and leaving voicemails with no responses. There were no acknowledgment or even apologies of missed calls or lack of response and mistakes are just sweep under the rug. It’s been the longest wait time to get paperwork done correctly…..Update: just heard back from my insurance and my prescription was denied because incorrect paperwork was sent back to them multiple times and they have records of reaching out multiple times to the office as well so now I have to start the whole entire approval process again. This has a total waste of time and energy dealing with unprofessional staff. This should not have been this stressful and it has became one of the worst doctors office I’ve visited. I will not be going back to any of the garden obgyn offices. They don’t have a sense of any urgency and will not be there if there is an emergency.
* PLEASE READ THIS IF YOU VALUE YOUR TIME AND HEALTH *If you want to go to an office run by teenagers, incompetent staff/management, long wait, and incorrect labs… THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU! I came to this office a few times and have had an issue every time. I came in for regular lab results, had to wait over a month for labs and had them send out the WRONG labs. I went back to REDO my labs and it’s April I re did them in MARCH. I have spoke to many “managers” more than 10+ times only to not receive any updates. If something so simple can’t be resolved I can’t imagine being pregnant and relying on this office/staff at all.I am more than patient, but this place will neglect you to its fullest as if it were their job. It’s almost humorous that an OBGYN office can pride themselves to care for woman, but can’t even order labs correctly. ALL the negative reviews are 110% true. I will be reporting this office to the DOH…In behalf of all the other woman who had to deal with the same issues if not worse.I also had one of the girls tell me I couldn’t speak to a manager in a room full of people just for her to say shortly after “ just kidding I was feeling silly”… I left that day thinking “What kind of immaturity and professionalism is there in this office?” I should’ve known they’d treat my health as a joke. PLEASE DO NOT waste your time here.
The Doctor and staff were amazing . They made me feel very comfortable. They are very professional and I look forward to making more visits at this location.
I have called the garden city office left numerous messages on the portal and no one got back to me. I requested medication refill still no response. This is by far the worse service I have ever encountered and I will not recommend anyone coming here. This is a delay in care and I really don’t know how you guys are still operating. You have multiple bad reviews and it gets tiring after seeing so many apologies. No get no management and new doctors that can run the place effectively.
The appointments usually go well but these people do not follow up with you as they should. When it comes to getting back bloodwork results, they stall, they want you to come in just to sit and speak with the doctor. Requesting telehealth to discuss bloodwork and then come in for whatever follow up is needed is out of the question. I will not be going back there again.
Update: I still have NOT received my results, even with phone calls and texts, no one has got back to me. My current doctor requested the results 2 weeks ago now and they have not sent them. It is illegal to withhold results from a patient or their providers for over 14 days let alone almost 9 months now. I will now be getting a lawyer involved due to their medical malpractice. This is a horrible practice. I have been a patient at this practice for about 5 years now and there is always an issue, I have gone in multiple times for pap spears because they have been done incorrectly or UTI specimens that have never been sent to the lab. My last visit I was suspected to have PCOS, and the provider I saw before even assessing me told me the only thing I had to do was lose weight... I am 50, 98 lbs, eat pretty well and work-out about 4x a week, if I lost any more weight I would be unhealthy. I am writing this review now because I had a breast biopsy done in DECEMBER, I have now left over 3 messages on an answering machine, I have spoken to staff and I have used their texting service to try to get a call from a provider to give me my results. I have not received a phone call, or any message from them, and I DO NOT have my results, I would like to assume there was nothing found because I did not hear from them but I am still entitled to my results, it is medical negligence and illegal for them to not provide me with the requested results. This was an INVASIVE procedure that I now have a scar on my breast and a titanium chip inserted, I was pushed to get this done by them because they were concerned about a lump in my breast, understandable but still now at the end of March have not received my results.
DO NOT GO HERE. Dirty, disgusting, careless. Staff is untrained and unprofessional. Nurse came in to the exam room with someone els medical records. They constantly reschedule appointments last minute, change insurance, and order unnecessary tests without getting results / prescriptions back in a timely manner. Terrible place to start off a pregnancy.
The worst experience ever with an Obgyn office. They are literally just taking people’s money with no care for the patients. They have a whole office run by staff that don’t know anything and you will never see a doctor but a bunch of recent grad PAs. They never follow up with you about test results and their phone lines to speak to someone who knows don’t help in anyway. Had to leave to a better office that did not need me to pay a bunch of copay’s like Garden Obgyn made me pay and when asked all the staff would say is “hmm they said that’s the copay”.
Very positive and supportive staff. The Doctor was able to tell me important facts that will help me fix some of my physical issues. Dr Are referred me to others for follow up.
Dr. Kaur is AMAZING! Initially I was referred to see another Doctor that cleared her schedule for the day and Garden OGYN in Garden City referred me to Dr. Kaur. No complaints! She’s patient, soft spoken, caring and efficient. When dealing with female issues you need someone who is compassionate. I can’t wait to carry on my journey with her.
They’re the worst obgyn I’ve ever been to. Don’t even waste your time. I needed a refill and was in extreme pain and they lied about sending my refill to the pharmacy which was so strange and then had a nasty attitude on the phone please don’t waste your time.
Go to literally any other obgyn in garden city, there are plenty like femmpro or womens health where the staff actually does a little bit of work. This place does not give a damn about anyones health and are maybe even purposely trying to cause harm. My girlfriend had a severe problem, but after days of calls and texts, no one could be reached to receive her lab results. Sadly she has now passed away from complications. This office finally emailed her back with the results, FOUR months later, after she passed away. Complete joke, someone with law knowledge needs to hold them accountable.
Impossible to receive my lab results for over 3 months while being pregnant. Don’t have my results until this day. No one in the office is able to help me get my results. Don’t waste you time coming to these offices.
INCOMPETENT OFFICE!! The absolute worst. I needed a simple referral from my gynecologist and I called many different numbers and was given the run around. I physically went in to the office to get the referral as it’s urgent for a follow up appt and still nothing was done! It’s unbelievable to me that a Dr’s office can be so horrible at dealing with customer care. I’ve been going here for years at other locations and I liked my Dr however I will never be returning due to this lack of professionalism!
Ive been waiting since February 21st for my lab results to be discussed. I went for my annual check up in the beginning of the year and it was recommended i get a swab done. I was not told that it wasnt included as part of my annual visit and because of that my insurance didnt cover the test. I went back in for a follow up and another swab and was sent a $700 lab bill. I immediately called and ask that the second test that was done be cancelled and a “manager” told they would not submit it to labcorp. A month later i received those results from labcorb and another $300 bill. Since then i have followed up every week to go over my results as i can see certain things came back abnormal. Every week i get a generic response that there are delays and someone will reach out to me. This has been so stressful and horrible to be able to see my results, experience my symptoms, know what medication is needed, and yet get no response from this practice. Ive been going to garden for 6 years and i refuse to ever return again. At this point ill be filing a complaint against them with the doh, labcorp, and will be bringing my lab results to a different doctor in hopes i will receive actual medical care.
The place isn’t bad with service. Overall I have a nice experience, I just wish I could see the same nurse each visit, to me it feels less personal seeing a different person each time. Also last time I went I think it was the head nurse, she spoke in a whisper, I could barely hear her, and I also felt like she was trying to put me down for certain choices that I had made and made me feel uncomfortable. That was at my last visit and I hope I don’t have another like that, a patient won’t want to get help from a provider that judges them!
Everyone was amazing what can I say. Everything was explained and no one rushed you out.
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD STOP CALLING ME. I left Garden OBGYN 2 years ago because the service was terrible and they call me every 6 months looking to schedule a visit. I have told them kindly to stop calling because I have a new and better provider and they keep calling. I have blocked their number and the next step will be reporting for harassment. I do not recommend Garden OBGYN to anyone. This place is a pill mill and they just want to make money. I had scary mood changes due to a med I was put on and the doctor couldn’t be bothered to call me back and discuss other options. For what it’s worth, their pre natal care is cheaper than others around and is decent, but for anything else I really would try to find a different provider.
The office overall was great, check in was quick, wait time was reasonable although it was crowded. I was placed in the wrong room where I waited an extra 15-20mins and then placed in the correct room. The doctor was pleasant and had great bedside manners. Check out process was longer than check in while waiting for referrals.
Great service, staff is very helpful, kind and professional. Been going here over 7 years now and have no complaints.
UPDATE: they told me they finally did run my std results weeks after all of this and after I had already gone to a different clinic to redo testing that they supposedly lost samples for. This clinic is so disorganized it’s ridiculous.I apologize in advance for the long review. I truly, truly can’t believe the carelessness of this practice. It’s dangerous. I went in on the 10th of January for a routine Pap smear. I’ve had issues ordering nexplanon with this practice in the past but that was at a different location in Manhattan so I thought I’d try the garden city location out. I loved the physician I saw. She was extremely attentive and made me feel safe. She even had a sonogram done for me same day as I’ve had some issues with painful periods in the past which ended up being much needed as a fibroid and ovarian cyst were found. She discussed it with me and I felt heard for the first time in a long time. Fast forward to the results. I logged into my patient portal about a week post my testing and found that only my bloodwork results and Pap smear results were in but no STD testing results. I called the clinic and they stated they were just waiting on one more value for the STD testing and that they’d call me when that came in which should be within the next few days. Okay. I waited, called at the end of the week since I had not received a call and was told the exact same thing. During both of these calls I also inquired about the status of my nexplanon order and was just told it takes 2 months. When I asked if they could call the special pharmacy they use and find out the status they said they would yet I’ve never received a call back. Now, today, this is 19 days post my appointment. Not only have I not received a call from a doctor/physician/etc. regarding my abnormal Pap smear results but I also still don’t have the STD testing. I called and was transferred to the lab that told me they can’t find my STD results and that they were never ordered. Additionally, I was told that there are no physician notes under my abnormal results meaning no physician has even looked at my record since I came in and has not reviewed any of the results. The lab connects me to the office manager who, while did seem apologetic, told me she’s not sure why the lab didn’t run the STD testing and that I’d have to come in for another blood draw. The amount of time and energy I’ve wasted at this clinic is so incredibly disheartening. I work full time and go to school full time and can barely fit in time to eat let alone time to come back in because of their mistake, even though I asked them multiple times what the status was over the course of these last 3 weeks. Please, for your sake and for your health, do not go here. They do not care about you or your health. Truthfully, this place should be shut down due to negligence. I’m sad and appalled by the lack of care.
All I can say is Wow! Wonderful experience from the online booking to being greeted warmly by the front desk staff to the young, sweet and professional assistant that got me settled to meeting Dr Theodora! 5 Stars!
I’ve been coming to this practice for around 3-4 years I’ve never had a problem till today. I originally had an appt on Saturday 3/2 & it was canceled on me the day of… I rescheduled for today Monday 3/4. I filled out all my information on portal. I check in & front desk lady ask for my insurance card which I did not have physically but I did have it on my insurance app and did provide the ID number on the portal & was told next time to bring it in with me. Then I waited 30+ mins mind you I had to leave work early for this appointment. All of this just to be called up and be told that I would be seen but it would be a selfpay visit of $170 because I didn’t have my insurance card on me physically. I offered to email them my insurance card & show them. I have not received my insurance card yet. they did not care to listen & just wanted to reschedule my appointment again. Absolutely ridiculous. What a total waste of time.
I have been coming here my whole pregnancy and last week they call me when i was already on my way to cancel my appointment i rescheduled and now im here 1 hr 30 minutes waiting for the doctor and them probably i will have to wait another hour for the ultrasound they never have enough staff so i don’t understand why they keep scheduling too much people for the same day is soo hot in this room im feeling so sick.
The doctor and staff members have all been very helpful and they make the experience seamless. Thank you Garden OBGYN!
Had a 9:20 am appointment for a refill. Sat in waiting room until 10 am. Sat in exam room until 10:20. Did not get blood work done so why am I leaving at 10:50 am? Refills should not be so difficult.
Switched over to this office , and I was pleased with all the information and attention I was given by Jessica ( office manager ) and Dr. Alisha. All my questions and concerns were attended to. And I didn’t feel rushed out, which now a days at other doctor offices they just want to treat you and go. I appreciated the professionalism and bedside manners. All staff was super friendly.
I’m going to give a mid review and update if needed. Long wait times. I despise this, I will Unfortunately be making my appointments as early as possible to hope to avoid being there for two hours. Loved my MA she laughed with me The PA was lackluster in personality and not very informative or reassuring. Luckily with my own background i knew enough to not have to ask a million questions but she isn’t aware of that, she should’ve given out a more detailed prognosis and possibility vs probability. Whomever is making appointments seems to get putting down the wrong type. I was there for not what they had me down as, and i noticed It happened to another patient as well. Hoping my follow up is better as it’s with a different person. I won’t continue to be a patient where I dont have a certain level of care.
The reason I rate 4 star, the issue is the toilet in the office is broken since My last visit two and a half months ago and it still broken, the second reason is that on my ultrasound there was a Trainee was shadowing but no one asked my permission if the Trainee can come into shadow, and the gel they used was so cold like it was coming out of the refridgerator, other facilities in went to use a warmer to warm the gel, you facility should consider doing the same. Otherwise my visit was not bad.
I am a new patient. Had annual gym exam more than 3 weeks ago. I still do not have test results. I have called 5 times in past week. I am put on lengthy hold, transferred to lab, no one picks up so always going into voicemail. I have now left two messages and trying to get call back. Patient portal has no test info. THREE WEEKS AND NO TEST RESULTS AND NO FOLLOW UP OR COMMUNICATION.THIS IS JUST NOT AN ACCEPTABLE WAY TO TREAT PATIENTS
My experience was wonderful because there is qualified, kind and respectful professionals. Nice and clean place. 👌 Guest what, one year after, I feel the same feeling and receive the greatest quality of service. Keep going.
Came in because a coworker of mine highly suggested to check them out.Went for a visit, nothing was explained to me. No clear communication. The doctor was constantly checking her cell phone the entire time I was in her office. I told her I was not interested in birth control, she constantly pushed it on me, I said I wasn’t interested in surgery - she gave me a surgeons number . Clearly she was not listening . I did not feel cared for or confident leaving their office. This location is chaotic and unprofessional . Also, it is impossible to get them on the phone. I would never recommend this place to anyone!
Dr.Alisha was great with my daughter she explain all her concerns thank you for letting her feel comfortable the staff was great wait time wasnt long .
DO NOT GO HERE! Prior to my arrival, I was informed that I needed to update my insurance information, which I immediately did via their portal system. Upon my arrival, the receptionist said that my insurance is invalid. The reason being is because they neglected to update it after I provided the information. We then spent another 10 minutes having to re-verify the information AGAIN. We discussed birth control and I filled out the necessary paperwork to have the prescription filled. The paperwork required that I enter my insurance information, which I did. Two days later I received a call from CVS stating that the the office put in the incorrect information, so they cannot proceed until the doctor resubmits it using the correct information. I tried contacting the office via phone, but the number provided is for the call center so I kept being redirected to the incorrect contacts. I tried contacting them via e-mail and text to raise these issues but have never heard back.Once I realized I wouldn’t hear back from anyone, I sent an e-mail letting them know that I no longer wish to proceed with them and requested that my medical records be sent to me. I have yet to receive a response to that e-mail. But I did receive a voicemail from a doctor asking me to call back. Id also like to mention that this doctor mentioned my medical information in that voicemail, which is completely inappropriate. I called them shortly after receiving that voicemail and, of course, no one answered. I left a voicemail for the nurse to call me back but I have never received a call. Weeks later I receive a bill from a lab but never received a call from a doctor to discuss any results. There is a huge lack of communication and it’s nearly impossible to get someone to call you back. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. Save your time and go elsewhere.Follow up- I contacted the care team a week ago after they replied to my google review and have never heard back. Terrible company!
Receptionist scheduled me for the wrong location for the appointment type. I showed up and was refused to see a provider. Please train your receptionists. I wasted time and money to receive no care. I rescheduled for the appropriate location but now have to wait longer due to the lack of appointment slots.
Ever since my original location closed down years ago, this company has never been the same. I’ve tried other locations like Forest Hills, New Hyde Park and this one but this practice all together just lacks communication. You never see the same NP or PA twice let alone doesn’t matter how long you’ve been a Garden patient, every provider has no idea of your history or past visits. Whether it’s a prescription or getting results they never call you. You can call or use their chat options but no one EVER gets back to you. Even when I am checking out the front desk gets so confused when scheduling me which is not their fault every different provider has no idea what appointments/necessary testing I have already done in my pregnancy. I find it aggravating having to explain everything I have already done so far over and over again which they should have access to, but for whatever reason don’t. Every visit feels like I’m a new patient starting from scratch. My last appointment was a total waste of time after they made me pay two copays when my appointment should have just been rescheduled. Saw an NP who was only for general GYN care (obviously a scheduling error) and had no idea how to discuss my NT scan concerns or prenatal questions with me. Again, don’t understand why a copay was even collected for that waste of a visit. Wish I could continue here but between the lack of care and communication, I can’t continue.
Front desk has no respect n manners, did not appreciate the way I was spoken to today. This is my second time I was unable to see my Doctor and no one has the courtesy to call, last month I went there, medication on backordered, today, Dr was not there. Unable to ever reach anyone by phone , also they just place you on hold and never return. Very upset today, wasted my time. This is crazy, and then being told they have pm appt. I took a day off twice.
They were so kind , everything was very clean . Also i didn’t wait that long , it was all good
My wife is a patient here. So far our experience has been very good, I wanted to post this review especially for Jessica the medical assistant who takes the blood. She is truly a professional, my wife get very uneasy when getting her blood taken but she made the whole process so easy for her and was extremely comforting.
Dr. Brittany was professional and friendly. She made me feel at ease. I wish i could continue to see her but, I am totally dissatisfied that this location, Garden City, will not accept my insurance anymore. I will probably be leaving Garden OB/GYN to find a Dr closer to home. Therefore, this is not a patient friendly practice.
This was my first time here and everyone treated me great. I would recommend this place.
Good experience everyone was nice appointment was on time !❤️
Josabeth (I hope I spelled that right) is simply the best. If you need a sono, try to have her. She made my wife (most importantly) and I feel so comfortable. Every time we go for a sono we NEED to see her. She really makes the whole process even more enjoyable!!!
The only reason I’m giving this place 3 stars is because the nurses were so nice. Especially one named Jessica. And I also found out I was pregnant here and the gender of my baby.Every time I came, I saw a different doctor, which I did not like. However, I did have a cyst that measured at 8 cm. And a white male doctor asked me do I really want to keep my baby if I have a cyst so big. So unprofessional. It made me cry. Instead of offering ways to possibly get rid of the cyst, he said those discouraging words. I love when doctors are optimistic about inconveniences. He was not. My cyst shrunk and disappeared by the time I was about 3 or 4 months pregnant because of prayer and castor oil.
Very nice environment everyone is professional and nice. I have a good experience and I’ll will recommend it to everyone!!
I wanted to like my experience here at Garden but the wait times were insane. There were many kind nurses and the women who work there are amazing but the overall experience was not the best. I always found that after my visits they would always make you fill out a review on a doctor I did not see! Not only that I tried contacting them so many times because I wanted to see if I had left my wallet last visit and didn’t plan on returning but my messages were completely ignored, I called but they gave me a number that didn’t answer after I called several times. It just showed me that they didn’t care and made the right choice to leave.
Took my grandma to this exact location. Never again. I had an appointment for 5:20pm and ended up leaving at 7:33pm. The wait time is NOT okay. What is the purpose of making an appointment when it’s painful to the patient in terms of waiting? The OB was in and out, which was fine. She listened to what we had to say and she did what she had to do. But I think I will take her to my OB in New Hyde Park instead, where the facilities are much cleaner and modern. And from my personal experience, don’t have to wait over two hours for a visit.
I will not be returning to that location . Asked facility to weigh my baby and was told they old weigh babies every 4 weeks. My mother has 10 kids and has never heard anything like that in her whole entire life. Yall bill people insurance we pay you guys not the other way around. Any questions or concerns that someone has about their child should be addressed. The location is filled of a bunch of young girls that do not know what they are doing . Horrible ! Very unorganized !
Clean and friendly environment. Customer service was great. We were greeted pleasantly and was assisted on time. It was our first time there but am telling you the service was super great. Am from florida and being in New york what I notice in businesses here customer service is very poor as compared to Florida, so its I pleasure to share and speak about when I see and receive it. My daughter was so delighted about her service.
My experience with this establishment has been nothing short of traumatizing. Found them via Zoc Doc after my last OB/GYN who I had been with for 17 years abruptly shutter her practice and left her patients without any notice or access to our files.Made the appointment for my annual pap. When I arrived, I was told that the interface with Zoc Doc is nuanced and so at times, Zoc Doc confirms the appointment without their knowledge. Luckily they had available slots and could still see me. I had to register in person again and wait to be seen. I saw Dr.P. She was super sweet and engaged me attentively. I was looking for a new form of birth control and we had in-depth conversation around that. She actually pulled up videos and pics to show me my options.Things took a turn once I left the office and was trying to get a hold of them. They never answered the phones and all the numbers they had given for texting to communicate with the office weren’t being responsive. For context, I had selected to use an IUD. Per the doctor and the front desk staff, a company called CVS would be contacting me to get insurance info to custom make the insert for me. Almost a month went by and I didn’t hear from them nor the doctors office. So I called and called. Eventually, the call came in from CVS but not to my phone; they called my emergency contact and left a full voicemail discussing all my business on his phone. ( major breech of privacy laws)A whole other month later, I finally get a call from Garden saying it came in. However, you must be on your cycle when it’s inserted, preferably the first day. Given that wasn’t the case for me, I had to wait another 2 weeks for my cycle. When it did start, I immediately text them to inform and made an appointment for the insertion. Again, I had major issues. One, my appointment wasn’t confirmed on their end again. So, I got there after 11 ahead of my 11:30, but as told I can’t be seen until 2. I left and went to the mall and returned. I get back and the dr I saw is not the person I’m seeing today and someone else actually has to see me to do a sonogram etc first and then another doctor does the insertion. I felt like I was at a mechanic shop. I had never had so many people in me. So much invasion and prodding and probing. The doctor finally begins the procedure and that’s when they recognized I have what is called a retroverted cervix meaning it’s flipped itself backwards making it super painful and difficult to insert. This doctor then tells me Dr.P should have seen that and share that I’m not a great candidate for the IUD. WTH!So I waited for almost 3 months just to know this at the time of insertion. According to the doctor, it was one of the longest most problematic insertions she ever had and it was one of the most painful experiences of my life.I left that day in serious pain and just tired and upset. I was returning to work from summer break and it was the most inconvenient time to not be feeling my best. For the next two weeks, I could barley walk. I called them to suggest we either take it out or get someone else to see what they could do because I was unable to function.Upon return, I’m forced to see another doctor which illuminated that the practice rotates doctors to different locations and you’ll almost never see the same person. So I went from having the same person for 17 years to now having an assembly line of doctors. I’m addition, my privacy was violated several times by front desk staff who thought it appropriate to discuss my files and test results while there were other patients in ear shot. Upon exiting I asked for a copy of my files because I would B never be returning.I ended up filing a claim with the Better Business Bureau and even they couldn’t get a hold of them after flagging the claim. Their lack of integrity is deplorable.Again, traumatizing from beginning to end.
Very kind staff. Everyone was friendly and caring. Welcoming and reassuring for new patients as well.
Great and friendly staff members. They make you feel comfortable. I recommend it
Terrible customer service - trying to get someone on the phone is to assist you is ridiculous, I have called, text, email, called and called again. You get the run around from the text service and the hub that answers all the calls. The office manager doesnt respond or pick up her phone. Just trying to get a note for my daugher for school. Will never use this place again - thank God it wasnt an emergency
I booked an appointment online. I will never do that again. They never had me down for an appointment today. Don’t book online without a follow up call to confirm your appointment. They were able to fit me in 20 minutes from the original appointment I had made online. They were very accommodating. I waited about 20 minutes before I saw the PA which was ok. I waited about 30 minutes to have an ultrasound. The PA was very good. As long as you have time to wait and are not in a rush, this office was very good.
They are so friendly and nice. Good disposition to help the people.
My time with garden OBGYN has been wonderful Im 35 weeks of gestation and Im very satisfied they always educate me on whats going to happen and we work well as a team. The staff is very understanding when people are late I do appreciate that. Wonderful staff members that also make me feel comfortable and happy.
This is the worse gynecologist experience. I made a reservation from Zodoc and came in early for my appointment. Upon arrival i signed in and had to ask if there was anything I need to feel out since it was my first time. The desk said to have a seat and they will call be back 20 mins passes and they call me back to let me know that my appointment from zodoc isn’t showing up because they have to actually be the one to place the appointment. Even with me waiting they still didn’t try to accommodate me and tell me after waiting they are booked out. Honestly this was a very annoying experience.
I have been a patient at this Center for several years but looking for another Women’s Center. The care here has depreciated so badly. From no follow-ups from blood work testings to finally receiving results to be given incorrect instructions causing nothing but confusion, time and money wasted. Miss the old staff now the staff is very unorganized and the doctors are constantly apologizing and unaware why the staff aren’t fluently helping at a quality level. I can’t keep supporting a place that I don’t feel is equipped in handling my medical information or services. I hate that I’m giving a poor review. I wish it would get better.I’m returning on this review just to say that the Dr. & her assistant went over and beyond in getting my medication to make sure that my appointment was provided and she was so sweet. This behavior counters my complaints but it shouldn’t flow like that. 😔
Dr. Arlene Cudjoe has a very pleasant bedside manner when handling her patients. She and her staff at the Garden City location always greet you with their beautiful smiles and friendly personalities. They make you feel comfortable and show they care for all their patients🙂Thank you❤❤❤
The office staff were very friendly and very nice 👍
Everytime I go, I tend to be beyond comfortable. It took me a while to find a doctor I could feel comfortable with checking me out in such a sensitive area and I am beyond grateful I found this place. Many doctors would have long wait times, and on top of it rush me out despite relying on them in terms of my health. It felt like I was just a number in a statistic to them rather than a person genuinely seeking help in terms of their health status. On top of the sweetest staff and doctors/physicians and their gentle nonjudgmental approach, the accessible parking spots outside is a cherry on top.
This is a horribly run office! You never see a doctor, you never see the same PA twice! They don’t address your problem, will tell you “go home and loose weight, if you don’t stop bleeding in 2 weeks, then call for another appointment and then we will look into medication!” When asking for medication that you know works for you, they tell you that medication doesn’t work! If they actually give you a script for medication, it will be medication that doesn’t even address your issues! Had my pharmacy advise me that I shouldn’t going to a practice that not only doesn’t listen to the patients but gives the wrong medication! The wait times are atrocious! Go somewhere else
Went in for my blood work and the Nurse, Lakymia was SUPER helpful. It’s my first time trying to conceive and I had numerous questions. She was very patient and truly cared about my journey. She listened thoroughly and answered any questions that I had!! I would definitely recommend this clinic and her!!
This is by far one of the worst clinics there is, I have been going to their clinics for about 4 years, I have been to the one in Garden City, Cedarhurst/Lawrence, and Long Beach. Every year I go here for my annual check ups and when necessary for other needs. There are always long waits to see a DR. and put it between quotation marks because you do not actually see Drs. but their nurse practitioners, who in my opinion are not experienced enough to give you correct diagnosis. One day I went here for I was having pain on my abdomen, they did ultrasounds nurse practitioner gave a scare by telling me it was my appendix and I should go the ER immediately. I did go to the ER just to be told it was not my appendix (wasted my time there, they kept me for over 15 hours. They referred me back to my GYN dr, So I did go back and got to see a new Nurse Practioner, said she did not know why the other one was able to diagnosed what it was and send me to the ER, that it was not her and she had many years of experience, this practice did not take accountability for their actions/errors. At visit this Nurse Practitioner ran other labs and she told me that she would personally call me to advised of results. It has been over a month and I am still waiting for a call from her or any other staff to advised of results. I called them and texted them a couple of times ( which by the way is not easy to get a hold of someone either by text or phone, long waits) This time when I called them they told me they could not discussed any lab results only the authorized personnel can do that, I requested calls back by text and phone and still no call back. I only got a random text saying my labs showed a UTI and medicine was sent to the pharmacy, but then I call the pharmacy and they did not send anything. I called and texted them and requested a call back and never contacted me. I also went to get my annual mammogram done and results were sent to this clinic on 8/14 for the Dr. to discussed with me and no one from Garden City has contacted me yet to discussed that either. It is unbelievable the level of unprofessionalism this clinic show to its patients. I kept sticking to this clinic for many years due to its flexibility and many offices available, but I think it is time to call it quits and seek care elsewhere. I could sit here and mention names of staff, but not all of them are bad.
The worst annual pap appt Ive experienced from sign in.. which involved me sitting in waiting room for an hr after realizing I wasnt sent a link to check in.. I give them the number that was already in the system.. as I checked in the website is moving very slowly .. its the worst system check in Ive done. Fast fwd 30mins Im still waiting to be called I go to the desk & its almost like Ive never checked in.. my appt time was now saying 7pm when Originally it was 1:10pm. 10 mins later I finally get called & give a routine urine sample in the public bathroom in the hallway of the office building... the bathrooms in the practice are not available or down. I make to the patients room garden #4. Which Im familiar with immediately I see no chair to put my belongings on.. so I put my things on top of a packaged box. The nurse comes in does the usual vitals.. the BP machine doesnt work properly. So she uses the traditional one. Fast forward the practioner/doctor walks in w/a trainee & it went downhill from there.. to be honest I couldnt tell who the trainer was.. she seemed like it was her first day.. I had to go through my whole history again which shouldve been in the system.. Ive been coming there for 9+ yrs yet I felt like a first time patient or barely recognized. Upon inserting the tool for the pap she seem very inexperienced & unprepared.. once she was done she got up & said nothing.. the trainee had to tell me she was done as I was still in position for the exam. Following that I get ultrasounds to monitor my fibroids.. a tech comes to get me once a spot is available so I stay in the robe bottomless.. I wanted once again for a tech.. 15-20 later nothing.. I put my clothes on & I left.. & I said this is my last visit.
I will never attend the 200 Garden City location again. I had an appointment with Catherine Arias on Saturday, September 9, 2023. She has yet to make a followup phone call or provide me with my test results. I have called the office multiple times. I left messages with the office manager who didnt return my call. It is September 22, 2023.
Ladies Do Not GO !! This place does not care!! When Dr Terry was there it was a great experience & she cared. Honestly since Covid hit and Dr Terry left this is absolutely the worst OBGYN! The last 3 times I’ve been there they sent samples out to the lab & still to this day I haven’t gotten any results. I call & they give me the run around & NOTHING! Cancer runs in my family I went a few weeks back for my annual and they took samples and told me 10-14 days they will contact me to let me know results (Good or bad) Nothing as yet and I’m pretty sure they will not contact me. Absolutely horrible! I will not reach out for my results. I am currently looking for a new OBGYN that cares about their patients & I will do my annual there & get some results this time.
My visit today was very fast and I like that cause who wanna be in the doctors office all day…. Brittany the PA was excellent answers all my questions and even gave me suggestion I really appreciate her and everyone else for all they do!!!!
Ive come here before with my mom. But it was the 1st time just for me. I had to wait 1 hour for them to take me in the exam room. Then almost another hour for the Dr or PA to see me. They only had 1 MA working that day, so I kind of understand why they took so long for everything. The only thing that I liked from my visit was that I was able to get a sonogram that same day, and blood work as well. I have to be back in 2 weeks. Lets see how it goes.
Went to the Garden City location a couple weeks ago to do my annual physical, the appointment went well, the Nurse Practitioner and phlebotomist were friendly and accommodating as I’m used to. Upon getting my blood test results I had a concern with one result that wasn’t completely clear to me as I’m not able to read all the medical terms. Texted back to see if I could get clarification when I was advised it’s best to come in office to go over the results. Showed up to the appointment to get clarification on my result when a very condescending, foxy looking wide eyed receptionist with long false hair proceeded to tell me I have to pay not just my regular copay but $75 to speak with a “Specialist” to answer my question. Now, this is most disappointing as firstly, I would have expected to be contacted about my results and not having to beg for information I already paid for. Very Poor service in the end. I guess I’ll have to find another doctor to answer my question since they only care about the $$$, not the patients.
Showed up early for appointment was seen on time but waited over an hour for a sonogram gave up and checked out
First time at this office (location) and it was one of the greatest experiences I’ve had at a doctors office. Efficient. Check in was the easiest thing— I didn’t even sit down when my name was already called. They were super fast, professional and answered all of my questions. Thank you Dr. Gopika. She is the best!! excellent!!!!
The Staff , P.A and Dr. ARE were professional, helpful and attentive to any questions I had. No questions I asked were too weird for them to answer. I am always treated with respect and patience. I was seen on time and didnt have to wait long for my appointment. The facility is clean and well kept. Yes, I would recommend a female friend or family to Garden OB/GYN in Garden City, Long Island.
I’ve had nothing but headaches with this OBGYN. I got a Pap smear and blood work done a month ago and I called the lab department multiple times to get my lab results and for weeks they don’t answer the phone. It goes straight to voicemail and I can’t leave a voicemail because the mailbox is full. I spoke with the receptionist multiple times and they also can’t get in contact with the lab department. They keep telling me a provider will call me if I have any abnormal results. It has been a month and my results haven’t been posted and I got a call from my pharmacy that a medication was sent to them which infuriated me since I still don’t have my results. I called and was told my results were abnormal but no one can tell me why. They keep telling me a provider will call me at the end of the day and I never get a call. Never returning to this facility super unprofessional!
I went to the Garden OBGYN office in Garden City multiple times, early on in my pregnancy. Unimpressed is not a strong enough word to describe how I felt about this location. My appointments were consistently booked incorrectly, and every time I got to the office, when I was called back, the nurses had no idea why I was there. When I mentioned this to the nurses, they all seemed irritated, and not actually concerned about what was going on with me and my pregnancy. This happened at every single appointment I went to at this location. I am not sure if the person making my appointments was just doing it wrong, or if there was a lack of communication between the doctors and nurses.I had blood drawn at every appointment, but it took an entire MONTH to get results back from one of my blood draws, and it turned out some of my hormone levels were low and they wanted to put me on a supplement. No one from this office called me, they only sent a message to the patient portal. I find this to be completely unacceptable, because at the time, my patient portal had not been set up. Not calling a pregnant woman to tell her that her hormone levels were low is appalling. When I sent a message to the office about this incident, no one has ever reached out to me with any sort of explanation or apology. After this, I switched to going to the New Hyde Park location and the difference between these two offices is NIGHT and DAY. New Hyde Park has providers and nurses that are thoughtful and caring. My appointments have never been messed up and they are always aware and up to date on anything I am dealing with. I would tell anyone to avoid the Garden City location at all costs and go to the New Hyde Park location.
I’ve had multiple experiences here. But my major issue is my test results. I’ve always had to call multiple times or text for my results. I got a biopsy done in March which I had appointment set up for the result. Day of, paid my copay and went in.. no results. You would think they would check the morning of to call & not waste my time. Then, I was told to call the office in a week to see if they were ready. It’s not my job to call for results. This was at the Garden City office. At the New Hyde Park office, long wait times & I’ve never been seen by the actual doctor I’m under. My biopsy taken in March results were discussed with me in September 6 months later at my annual visit. Been over a week & still no results. I will definitely be changing doctors after this.
They do not care about you I waited Three hours! For a procedure because they prioritize cosmetic surgeries. Just gross and the Front desk girls just seemed over work and so are so rude. Overall AVOID this chain like office. 3 hours in no works acceptable wait time for procedure which was followed by a 3 week wait just to get the appt. My guess these doctors are Milking insurance coMpanies to extremes where they’re working 2x a week and squeezing the cosmetic wave not a real gyn office. However if you want a cosmetic procedure they’ll likely give you priority. These places do not receive these rating Google is so fixed! It’s clear if you pay they will hide the real ones
Horrible experience of wait time and actually getting in contact with anyone. It’s been 3 weeks since my appointment and I have to call every single day. Some days I get an answer and they’ll say they’re leaving a message for whom ever it concerns and they’ll call me back, which they never ever do. Other days I get no answer no response nothing.I only gave them a two because the PA was actually very informative and helpful during my actual appointment. However due to this extra added stress of not actually getting my follow up appointment I would have given them a zero! This is so unprofessional and stressful for someone in so much pain.
DR. GOPIKA is amazing. She will make sure you feel comfortable and able to help in any concern you have. I never had a doctor that will hand me notes to make sure I follow and understand procedures for my next appointment. Very attentive staff. Since you walk in they make sure you feel comfortable .
Every aspect of my annual visit was great! The staff @this Garden City office was friendly and quite knowledgeable. Any questions I asked were answered thoroughly and patiently. The “spa-like” atmosphere allows patients to stay calm and feel welcomed, for example the pastel colors, staff smiles, and relaxing music—perfect! I felt like I was well taken care of during my visit due to the preventive nature of their practice. I am extremely satisfied thus far, and I look forward to more productive and professional follow-up visits—thank you Beautiful Garden Ladies!!
This office is BEYOND insufficient. The wait is always long, they have me fill out the same paperwork every time I come , when these things should be saved in the EMR system being that it is my primary OB office. They make you wait so long in the room just to see the doctor for 3 minutes. The doctors never seem to know whats going on either, it would be more sufficient if you saw the same doctor each visit so there could be a rapport built, and the visit can go much smoother and they somewhat know you, but thats not the case, its like starting from scratch every visit. As a first time mom I would not recommend this office. I am currently looking for a new OB facility because theres been a lot of confusion as well as things that should of been done and discussed with me about important appointments that were missed and that just doesnt make me feel like they care enough to be a primary OB.
I felt very disrespected with the attention provided SPECIALLY BY a nurse practitioner named Chin lui she was constantly laughing at me during our consultation and humiliated me. Never once asked me how I was feeling but she rushed to get through my chart. I asked her several questions concerning my delivery and she was not only not knowledgeable enough to answer but she judged my requests. And she had the audacity to racial profile me by telling me that I cannot afford to pay a doula for my delivery. Not knowing who I am and what I have. Just because am Spanish. I will prefer to never be seen by her ever again. And won’t recommend this office to anyone. My appointment time was 11:40am. And came out almost 3:00pm waiting period is absolutely insane for expecting mothers.
Front desk medical assistants/receptionists are rude and condescending. They were talking about patients and had medical files out for everybody to see… not practicing Hippa guidelines. I gave them my updated pharmacy info and they still sent my prescription to the wrong pharmacy.
I dont even know where to start with this place. This is not the only location (of theirs) i have been to that has disappointed me. However, when i was pregnant this place failed to diagnosed me with puppps for weeks. I told them, they kept telling me i had allergic reaction to something ( i went to three of their locations, concerned about this ). Then the medication they prescribe for me i was informed shouldnt have been given to someone who is pregnant. Then when i switch ob/gyn i found out they never conducted a test that tells me if my child has any abnormalities (thank god my baby was healthy baby).fast forward, i tried giving them a benefit of the doubt years later (hoping that things has changed), i called them to get some documentations. not once, twice, or three times. I even contacted them via chat and portal. They told me they were awaiting response from the other location, I NEVER HEARD BACK. their lack of communication and care baffles me. I am just over this place. I wouldnt recommend it. This say a lot because I NEVER WRITE/ REVIEW but I am fed up with this place and thought you should know.
My visit was great . My wait time was minimal, l was seen by very nice medical assistants then followed by Dr Alicia who was absolutely amazing from the beginning to the end. She is knowledgeable and helpful made me feel beyond comfortable.
I had to come in for an appointment so the doctor can tell me my test results were normal. I called numerous times before appointment and they refused to give me info over the phone upon my request, and the doctors never return my calls/messages either. I think it’s extremely inconvenient and unnecessary for a patient to come out of their way wasting time and money for negative test results.
If I could give Garden OBGYN 0 stars, I would. The disorganization and lack of inter-department or inter-office communication is HORRENDOUS! I have now spoken to 2 office managers and they give you contradicting information, and you can never seem to get an answer. They get so dumbfounded when you confront them about their lack of organization and misinformation that they give, it shows how unprofessional they really are. I had my OB care with them, and they were great, but that was back in 2021 so clearly they have just gone downhill since. Either that or they dont care about their GYN patients, since thats clearly not the profitable portion of their practice. They are requiring unnecessary testing to be done within 30 days, thats takes 2 weeks, yet its impossible to even schedule an appointment to said treatment. Dont waste your time or energy. They are not worth the aggravation.
The place is clean, and the ladies at the front desk are all nice and polite. But thats all thats nice that I can say about this place. I tried to get a prescription thats safe to take during pregnancy, was told that someone will get back to me that same day, and was left hanging for a week! I called multiple times but was never able to get an MD or an NP to actually speak with me and was never given a straight forward answer.
Been a patient here for a few years, Definitely finding a new place to go.. always a long wait… the front desk not so friendly they have no emotion towards you. I had an appointment earlier in the month they called a week in a half later and asked could i come back because the PA that examined me did not collect enough specimen just for me to finally come back in and have me waiting over an hour in the room & didn’t see a doctor. I left out the room & told the front desk I’m leaving and she just looked at me with no apologies or even try to see if there was anything that could be resolved.
There’s got to be a better way to accommodate or even acknowledge when patients are waiting over an hour to be seen, ESPECIALLY if they’re pregnant. I waited over an hour to be seen today and the receptionist was not pleasant to engage with. She lacked common courtesy and professionalism when I explained to her how long I was waiting. She could care less. When I asked to use the bathroom, not knowing where it was, she looked at me as if I was bothering her. Once I was finally seen, the nurse did acknowledge the long wait and explained the delay. The sono tech was nice and engaging. However, my next experience and talking to NP Jessica Mordi, wasn’t so comfortable. What professional calls the patient into their office that’s waiting in the hallway, from their desk? She hardly made eye contact and asked me to close the door behind me, after I sat down. She lacks common courtesy as well. She seemed rushed, as if she just wanted to get me out of her office. Quick and simple questions were asked of me, she couldn’t be bothered. I realize it was late in the day but come on, you’re supposed to be a professional and engage more with patients.
Dr. Alisha Sial is one of the best Doctors I have ever seen. She explained and went through my test results with me. She took time with me and answered all my concernsThe receptionist are very friendly. My best friend recommended me Dr. Alisha..I will recommend this Doctor to my friends as well
Staff is really nice and politeAnd i do like the doctor as well, she makes me feel so comfortable and welcomingI have received all the attention and services i needed..
IF I COULD GIVE 0 stars i would, extremely long wait time everytime i call its about 30 min. i was told i would speak to a manager yesterday and they would call me and recieved no call. Even after calling back after a couple hours passed and reassured they would get back to me by the end of the day which never happened.i called waited another 30 minutes today only to be transferred to someone who didnt even know who i was, not the first time. NO COMMUNICATION has led to needing to return on multiple occasions, once because i needed an annual which wasnt looked at after booking my consultation so i needed to proccess my anual first. 2 i wasnt on the schedule, another they lost my paper work and i had to come in and fill everything out a second time, another time they had to leave because they werent feeling well (which is the only resonable one). AFTER 4 MONTHS of dealing with this over and over again. Struggling to call them because they will not call you if your pharmacy doesnt go through with your insurance so you have to find that out yourself. i was just told after months that i need to pay out of pocket for my nexplanon when i called my insurance and they explained step by step how to proccess it. Which they said they simply could not do when i had no issue the first time around. which no one i spoke to knew how to even go about the process of paying out of pocket was done. I was told to go to another gynecologist to do that and i gladly will. if they cant even handle your appointment times i would not trust then with your body, your child, and especially not your time.
A lot of down time. I was there for two hours, but the staff was kind.
The clinic is very well equipped but the treatment and quality of service are very disappointing. I felt like I was an animal there and my baby wasn’t being treated as a baby.
Had the best visit today, I didn’t have to wait as last time, everything has improved from the front desk to the back!!!! My visit was very smooth and easy!! To day I had the pleasure of meeting Dr Are, she was amazing hands down👏 ,I love the way she explained everything, she listen to me, no one has ever had in the past. She was able to help me 🙏! Definitely recommend her!!!!!! Not giving her 5 stars but instead 10!!❤️
Dr. Gopika is very professional, respectful and easy to communicate with. She makes you feel comfortable when needing to address concerns. I have changed doctors many times over the years but am very happy and hopeful after my visit with her.
I was nervous after reading all the reviews but I had a great experience. I was greeted when I signed in, they took me in at my scheduled appointment time. I had an examination, sonogram and spoke with the PA with very little wait. I was there about 45 mins/1hr. The staff was great and I had no issues. I would have gave them 5 stars but I took 1 star away because I was scheduled to see the Doctor but was seen by the PA who was great but I would have preferred the Doc.
This was the best experience at an OB/GYN facility in my life I am 57 years old. The staff were a professional very kind and you were in and out. Great experience! Highly recommended!!
Made an appointment online. Was sent an email stating appointment on Thurs. Jan. 6th at 10:00 am. Arrived early and was told that the appointment I made online does not show in their computer and that i need to call to make an appointment. Mind you i have been going here for 24 years. The staff said you can see someone else around 11 am. I walked out. What a waste of time.
Dr Are is awesome! She is very caring and addresses your needs. The nurses technicians are great! My only negative is with the phones and the new Klara form of communication. I used both to give information about my condition and the response time to your concerns is non existent. I have every confidence that it will improve over time.
My wife and I have been calling since a week now. Each time we call it takes 18 mins for them to just PICK UP THE PHONE if you’re lucky. I waited 16 minutes and NO one picked up then call hung up. I used to like this place because it WAS professional. They don’t care about their patients. Truly disappointing. Going to look for a new obgyn
Very unprofessional front desk. For almost an hour she forgot my name. Me and my Waited an hour without being registered even though we wrote our name there. Very bad service.
Arlene Cudjoe was the nurse practitioner that did my annual exam and she was excellent. She was so gentle. This is the first time that I had an annual done that I was crying due to the unbearable pain. The sonographer , Kimberly, was very gentle as well.
Garden OB is the Best place for female health care .They go above and beyond for their patients.
Truly a horrible doctors office. I was seen on the 16th. Had to call MULTIPLE times to figure out why Dr. Priya didn’t reach out to me about my results especially because it required medication. Nonetheless, after calling 3 times I finally got a MESSAGE on my patient profile from god knows who. No apology. no phone call. Just telling me to take the medication. THEN, the random dr that did message me sent my prescription to a pharmacy that I’ve NEVER been to! I had to call 3 times to have them send it to my correct pharmacy. Then I had to call back the following day to remind them to send it to my correct pharmacy since they didn’t receive the script. Truly a horrible experience. I feel like my health wasn’t being taken serious.
I had a very bad experience here. I was going there since my pregnancy and a day before my due date they say my insurance doesnt cover my delivery and aftercare. I would curse them out but I want to keep this civil. I give them 0 ratings for making my last days of pregnancy a hell and looking for a new clinic.
Had a 10:30am appointment. Was there for two hours just for and ultra sound and a birth control refill. Usually I’m there not more than 45mins. Before I left I asked if my refills would be ready by the end of the day and yet I go to my pharmacy and they didn’t even send my refill 6 hours later. Very disappointing
REPLY to the reply:Thank you for your reply. When I was transferred from one department to another department and got all those job description replies, I asked whether I could talk to the supervisor, the lady said ok. Then followed up with HANG UP.----------------------------------For readers: If you are reading this review, Im assuming you are inclined to trust them with your health and your baby. Please, before you sign up, I have a few unsolicited advices for you.FIRST, please check the qualification of the doctors. How often they work each week? Even if you could not follow through with one doctor, at least most of the time you should be able to see your doctor. If things go tricky, you would not like your doctor work only one day per week, or a doctor so lacks of experience that not sure how to talk to you.SECOND, please make sure the treatments/tests etc. are what you really need. Double check.THIRD, if you are expecting, please ask whether the doctor you are seeing during the whole pregnancy will deliver your baby. Im not sure how will you feel, but I feel pretty uncomfortable with the idea that some one who only have a few pages of paper to know me to deliver my baby. Sorry, strong assembly line feeling.-----------------------------------An assembly line was introduced by Mr. Ford at his FACTORY in last century to greatly improve production efficiency and reduce cost. We appreciate the lowered price tag brought by this practice. However, one problem with an assembly line is workers at different positions might know NOTHING what others has performed at their jobs.If a medical practice/association/alliance treat medical care as an assembly line, what could we expect, as a patient? the office, nurses, doctors, the billing department, the insurance department, etc.If anything happens, thats the problem with office/ billing/ insurance... I dont know, I did not answer the phone/send the bill... I can transfer you to ... Run out of place to transfer? Its the system error. I didnt know how this happened. Naturally, some calls just never get answered/replied...No one did a bad job here. Its just we, as patients, should be smart to take care of those problems/pay the bills.Do we receive a decent assembly product with a bargain price? NOPE. Instead, we paid a price which could only be justified by a work from an artisan. And they included “ standard parts” in it without letting you, just because that’s their “standard”. If you were not aware of them and your insurance didn’t pay for it, “unfortunately, it is part of our standard.” Unfortunately, for the already stressed patient, an totally unexpected bill for a never asked treatment arrived. And we all know: ONE PERSONS OVERTREATMENT IS ANOTHER PERSONS INCOME.Whats more? The answers to problems reviewed here are so standard, so assembly line. I wonder the AI ChatGPT might do better than this.
Only giving five stars because Brittany and the ladies at the front desk are wonderful! L Jackson was fantastic a nurse I saw her today for an issue and she was quick to help me and was very good at answering questions! She was wonderful I don’t care for Dr Are as she is not too sharp but the rest of the ladies deserve more than five stars for their excellent service and manner!
I’ve only come 3 times to this location and every single time, it left me in confusion, uncertainty and disappointment. I unfortunately suffered a miscarriage and the way they handled the news was so appalling. From the tech that did my sonogram, continually mentioning how she didnt see anything and asking me to look at the screen to confirm as tears run down my face to the doctor literally rushing our talk, made the experience traumatizing. My last time coming, i met with a different doctor and she rushed me even more. After the Pap smear and sonogram, she didn’t even sit for more than 20 seconds to take her time to explain nor did she ask if i had any questions. I decided to go to the forest hills location where i did a follow up on my blood work, they didn’t even log in my annual Pap smear. The incompetence is crazy.
I don’t even know where to begin. Consistent poor service. My wife’s had a few 9:30 appointments, we usually have to budget for a full 3-4 hours every time we go. Their office staff is more or less incompetent, and less than accommodating. I’m not sure if their PA’s are actually PA’s. The whole organization is a racket. The New Hyde Park location is even worse. Avoid at all costs. Lesson learned.
Friendly staff appointments are always on time. Dr. Singhal is such an amazing and comforting doctor that he makes you feel at ease, never rushes you, and addresses all your concerns.
Doctor Are is very polite and kind. The way she spoke to us was really great and we would love to go to her going forward. Also she explained the problems properly and my wife felt really comfortable during our visit.
Great OB GYN. However, upon check in, the clerk was not paying much attention. I signed my name and sat down. I see that they started calling everyone except me. I sat down for 30 mins waiting to be called. The clerk was not marking off any of the patient names on the list, until I got up and asked why everyone who was after me, are going on and I had been sitting down for a while. The clerk doing the check ins need to be more aware of her surroundings as well as learn how to multitask while being on the phone and check in patients.
Please go somewhere else. I have an appointment for tomorrow 8/10/23 @ 10:30 then got a text changing it to 10:45 just got another text changing my appointment to 8/14 @ 2:30. Have been trying to reach the office and is almost impossible to get thru. Finally got thru and I asked what was going on with my appointment, their answer “I have no clue as to why you’re receiving time se texts”. I cancelled appointment and will be going elsewhere.
I have been seeing many doctors lately at Garden OBGYN sometimes I feel rushed out because they have such high volume of patients. My last visit with Dr. C-A Collins was my best experience yet since I saw Dr.Are. She took her time to explain the procedure, discussed different options and really made me comfortable while discussing my concerns. I left there feeling confident and hopeful.
My experience from this office is definitely the worse, no matter how many times I called for any emergency they never get back to me or care about my need!
Went on June 10th got a call on JULY 13th with results of UTI no RX till JULY 14th only because I called looking for the RX that was never sent.I’m so furious I have been in discomfort and waiting to see urologist.Unacceptable !!
I had an excellent service not only in the reception area but other area. All the nurse took care of me what I needed. The doctor explained me all details of my situation. The time waiting for each service was in the reasonable time range.
The ultrasound staff was very rude to the point that i walked out in tears i will never set foot in there again.. is a shame because i loved my doctor 💖..to bad the ultrasound lady and her helper dont know how to properly treat the patients
Front desk staff was wonderful. Front was patience and helpful in finding a lab that took my insurance. PA Pegah was so knowledgable, gentle, patient and thorough. I wanted to go with a MD at first but Pegah the PA changed my mind. She was just as good!!
Employees were great but the wait was too long. They were short staffed and overworked so I don’t blame them tho, they were still very nice, patient, and very informative specially the ultrasound techs, even though you can clearly see how tired and stretched thin they were. Only 3 stars because of the wait but 5 stars to the employees, they’re troopers!
Took me in at exactly my appointment time. The medical assistant was very attentive. I went in for an annual. Was out the quickest I’ve ever been at a doctors office. The whole staff was amazingly friendly and in a good mood. It’s a very clean and comfortable place. I’ve also used this branch of garden OBGYN for for over 5 years. They’ve always been very flexible with appointments and great phone service. I’ve been to 2 different locations and both very happy with.
Super organized and clean facility !The girls front desk were very helpful the young lady who took care of me was very polite and thorough !So glad I switched to them !
Dr. Yassa was a kind and attentive doctor in person, although difficult to schedule. The office staff and RDMS I interacted with were also very professional and considerate.Unfortunately, one of the staff assured me she would take care of returning a medication related to my visit that I had not yet received and it turns out should not have been prescribed, and that she would keep me in the loop. I never heard from her again, despite a number of calls, messages, etc over the next month [my phone number and email are correct in their records, and I checked the patient portal]. Each time I called, it was a lot of time on hold, and then starting over: no record of any prior communication. While a kind staff member at a different office eventually took over and was able to ascertain the status, the delay caused by the Garden City office put me out of the grace period on returns, and as a result I am out of $882 for a drug I have never even seen. This has been deeply frustrating, and is indicative of ongoing patient communication problems this network has always had.
This place is awful. I waited 1 hour and 20 minutes *past* my appointment time (and this didn’t include the time waiting in the exam room). Just as worse was that the office was crowded with NO social distancing at all (which was horrifying given that COVID19 is still prevalent) .They should at least have put some chairs outside for people who felt uncomfortable waiting in a packed waiting room or gave folks an alternate place to wait. They definitely overbooked and no one would give me a time estimate when I asked how long the wait would be. This isn’t only inconvenient and frustrating but it literally puts people’s health at risk. And then when It came to my actual appointment, no one asked me about the medications I’m taking or gave me any sort of health form to fill out. The person I saw wasn’t even the doctor who who I was scheduled to see. The PA who saw me was very kind and got me in and out fast, but I am never coming to this place again unless it’s absolutely necessary. Thank goodness I switched providers a few years ago - I just needed a quick appointment for the next day which is the only reason I came back to this office. And when I did have this office as my primary obgyn provider, they misdiagnosed me twice and prescribed me with medication that made me feel awful with no alternatives (thankfully my new doctor found a medication that worked). All of this just confirms that leaving here was definitely the right choice. Don’t ever come here unless you have no other options.
This place is an absolute disaster. The receptionist are calling patients with test results but they are unable to answer medical questions. I’ve also been trying to get in contact with a medical professional/ manager for the last couple of days. No one has return my call.
June I gave birth and I have recently made an appointment because I dont feel right and concerned about maybe an infection or something and the office called an hour before my appointment to cancel on me. This is not the first time they have called me the day of to cancel my appointment. The last month of my pregnancy my one week appointments were canceled every week and I would have to rearrange my schedule and go to another office at another time.... I will never go back to this practice again. They have zero concern for their patients if they can freely cancel appointment hours before you are suppose to be seen. Very unprofessional. If I could give zero stars I would
Very dissapointed! Still waiting for a script to be called in after three days ! Unacceptable! Waited one hour to be seen and office staff and doctors were very rushed and quick . This place is not for me , not what I’m looking for in an Obgyn office . Not comfortable with the level of service . First and last time going here. They need to do better.
Very friendly staff. Saw nurse practitioner, also very friendly. Very quick in and out turn wise. Not a long wait. I usually only schedule with doctors but this was a general pap. Problems, I insist on doctors. She was a very nice person.
My first visit as recommended by friends and Doctor Are was very pleasant and welcoming she made sure I felt comfortable. She answered all my questions and was insightful. I hope the service continues to be the same throughout my pregnancy. Overall everyone was pleasant.
Had a very pleasant first appointment. I was taken back for my appointment within 15 minutes of waiting (10 of it was spent filling out paperwork). The staff was extremely friendly, office was clean, and the doctor was so helpful. I am extremely impressed with this practice, and look forward to staying as a happy patient!
* Update, upon my follow up visit, the customer service & bedside manners were still great (asides from the sonographer who was curt & aloof, when speaking to her).Dr Are, is still the kindest empathetic, most attentive, & detailed GYN, Ive seen. Tonhow pleased I am, Id change my insurance & follow her to whatever office she works out of. lolThus far, I love this place! I like it so much, It kind of makes me scared to share the great reviews in fear they become too busy. lol 🤭Ronnae (She manages the front desk), was awesome in addressing my needs, and assisting me w/ my concerns upon my my arrival. The Nurse practicioner Alysha (who treated me), has excellent bedside manners, & extreme patience, as well as full knowledge of the issues I presented her with.Following up at the end of the appointment & rescheduling was a breeze, with the assistance of Jasmine.Overall, majority of the staff & medical team, had great customer service. The office itself is clean, modern, & spacious, (tho I was in out so quickly, I barely had time to view it all.My only complaint would be there phone system. They use a new interface named Klara, that to me, is annoying and inconvenient.Otherwise, Im truly pleased w/ this office.
The words are not nice so I would tell everyone this is a No Go!They book their appointments like sardines.Waiting and waiting when you actually do get an appointment.I’ve been a loyal customer for over two decades and it’s gone from 10 to a 1 from my experience. Can’t even speak to a person any longer to get an appointment !!!!This facility all they want is $$$
The staff are amazing. I have been blessed to interact with some very kind individuals who provided amazing service, allowing me to feel well-taken care of. Dr. Yassa was extremely helpful. He educated me on my situation and answered all my questions. I didn’t feel rushed. While I’m not comfortable with my circumstances, I left feeling at ease knowing he wants to address my issue while considering my family’s thoughts.
This is the absolute WORST experience with an OBGYN I have ever had. And it isn’t just an isolated incident. I first came here in 2021 to the New Hyde Park location for a BRCA gene test. First they took my blood sample, and I waited weeks for results. After calling they informed they lost my blood and need me to come in for another test. They lost my blood. And didn’t even tell me until I called to check up. Then it took over two months to get those results while I was already billed by the lab and also told by the lab that they sent the results to the office weeks ago. Skip to current day I need a hormonal blood test done. I try the Garden City location hoping their staff will be better. They say I will be called with results in 5-7 days. 3 weeks go by, and nothing. I try calling and continously get hung up on. I took this test on 10-19-22 and it is 11-14-22 and They have confirmed they have the results and still are withholding them from me. The employees don’t care about women and their health and the receptionists are clueless. This is the worst ran office I have ever witnessed and they absolutely DO NOT CARE about you. Extremely dissapointed as a young girl trying to take care of myself and stay proactive after losing my mother to cancer and they are not helpful at all. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
The nurse practioner was knowledgable and nice. The office looks very dated as well as the exam rooms. I did not feel comfortable. They told me that the sonograms are covered by me insurance, however, I received a $502 bill afterwards.I will not go back.
My experience was very good I didnt have to wait long in the waiting room the doctor herself was very nice and the young lady who checked me in she was very very nice she was very respectful and kind made me feel very comfortable
Horrific. Ive been coming here for 4 years out of sheer convenience. They are pleasant in person if you are early enough for an appointment. But they will never get back to you even if there is cause for concern. Avoid this place at all costs. The NPs are running around oberwhelmed which is reflected in their care. As soon as im able im going to get my records transferred to an ethical gyn.
I was very impressed with service that has been providing to me.All staff was very knowledgeable and taking interest in you as a patient.
My fav place. So clean fast and attentive
Overall I loved the staff. Everyone their seemed really friendly and nice. I’ve never been to a gynecologist before so for a first time visit, I was pleased with how comfortable they made me feel. I love this location it’s literally right across the street from my favorite mall so after my appointments I can just go browsing. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the wait time. I scheduled my appointment for 1:45 I arrived 30 minutes before. I signed in with only 3 people ahead of me and I didn’t see a doctor until 2:30. Good thing this wasn’t a life or death situation because I would been dead waiting on them.
My former OB/GYN Dr. retired after being my Dr. for over 30 yrs. Ive been trying to find a good Dr. and facility since then.I am happy to report that I finally found a facility.(Garden OB/GYN at Garden City)Dr. Arlene Cudjoe and the whole staff was absolutely wonderful, timely and professional.I highly recommend this OB/GYN.
Horrible wait times. Ive been here a few times for my annual pap smear and every time I go I wait over an hour in the waiting room. Received a call this morning at 8:40to come in early for my 11:20 appt and I said sure Ill be there. I arrived by 9:31 and I was there until 10:43 and left without being seen. Why ask someone to come in early and have them wait over an hour? The waiting room was crowded. We are still going through a pandemic. This is unacceptable. My advice. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!
Great Ob office. Office is nice and clean and they have water to drink lol. I am pregnant and I had an appointment at 1250 i got there a bit early 1230. The receptionist greet me and explained to me what I will be doing with the iPad and hand it to me. It took me about 5 minutes to complete and one of the nurse called me. I was surprise how fast the wait was.they really have improved. Chairs are so comfortable. Everyone in there and so friendly and professional. I had a great experienced.
Made an appoint and had to wait with my wife and daughter for an hour and a half just for the front desk recipient to say you can either leave and make another appointment meet or wait. I came here because I saw the good reviews but I feel that there isn’t much to show. Won’t be returning thank you for wasting our time.
I want to love this place, I do,but the customer service is sooo bad. The doctors, facilities and care is amazing. I had a great pregnancy and birth here and felt very comfortable and attended to every step of the way BUT try to get someone on the phone?? You will be either waiting 20++ minutes or you will just not get someone on the phone. So forget trying to schedule an appointment (or cancel) that way and DEFINITELY forget about being able to call up the patient care desk for a quick question. You need to show up in person or try to navigate the online portal. Or just wait until your next visit. Oh and let me get to the best part, please block out TWO hours for every visit or more. They tell you your appointment is at 10 and you will not be seen until 10:40. So get comfortable sis because the wait times are deplorable. And once you get in guess what? More waiting. Now I am not speaking off of a one time experience, I had my child in 2016 and was going to this office for like a few years before. It’s 2021 and they have not changed. At all. I really hate to let them go, but I have to. I personally don’t have time to be seen 40 mins after my scheduled appointment (ITS SCHEDULED FOR A REASON) and I need to know that if I have a concern during my pregnancy that I will be able to contact my doctor. I just need more peace of mind. So with that said, if you have the time and patience, go here. If not, then go somewhere else.UPDATE: After spending half my day at the clinic just to get my prescription refilled, I went to the pharmacy to find out that the prescription was never actually sent over (This was days later) . Basically, wasted my time again. Thanks Garden OB GYN. I think it’s funny that after I wrote this review the office then decided to not give me what I came there for.
1. Wait times over the phone and in person are insane.2. They are terribly careless with medical information, leaving forms with peoples names and medical info prominently displayed on the counter.3. They are so disorganized. Once, it took multiple calls to get a receipt. Another time I got a return phone call that my test results werent ready, but I never called for them. They call when my results arent ready but I hear nothing when they are.4. After performing a procedure with admittedly dull tools, I got an infection. I called and they said theyd send a prescription right over to the pharmacy. Nothing. I called back the next day, they apologized and assured me it would be taken care of. Nothing. I called back AGAIN and they said they couldnt prescribe without seeing me. Were they ever going to tell me that? Doubt it. I also had told them that Id be out of the city indefinitely. So now Im away from home, looking for medical care, with no support from the office that caused the infection. The only time Ive ever seen an actual doctor is when she hacked at the inside of my uterus with dull tools. I cant wait until they get sued and shut down for malpractice.
Had a positive experience at the Garden City location. The staff were friendly and attentive. The office looks clean and well kept. When i was in the rooms they felt private and calming. The radiologist who did the ultrasound was so nice and her room was very relaxing. The wait was a bit more then expected but overall it was a good experience.
I saw the PA yesterday. She was nice once I finally saw her, but I waited 1 hour and 30 min past my appointment to see her, including spending an hour in a gown waiting in a room. I won’t be back.
Friendly and professional doctors and staff. I’ve had bad experiences at other doctor offices but I feel very safe and taken care of at Garden OBGYN. Love that they do an ultrasound every time I go because I rather know that my baby is growing and moving along well than for something to be wrong and not have a clue. They look out for the best interest of myself and baby. My only complaint is sometimes the wait time is a bit too long but it’s worth the wait for me.
Sometimes in July I showed up for my appointment and sat there for 2 hours and when I finally ask them what is going on? They were fighting between themselves in the front because they forgot me. Today august 26th again I showed up appointment and they say again that they are backed up. Why do they make appointment like it’s flea market. I hen they finally call me to the room. The room is so dirty that I could not even seat down. They had dirty napkins all over the place. Please do not go to this place. It is so ghetto. Michelle J
Great place. Office was very clean. The wait time was a bit long but worth it. The Doctor I had explained everything to me in detail before she did anything. I would definitely recommend this office to anyone.
As today 12/10/2022 my case was resolved, my wrongful bill was canceled! I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to the complaint, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved. Thank you for the prompt correction to my invoice.
I’ve been going to this place for over ten year, I went on Monday the 24 for my annual check up as usual the staff is pleasant and knowledgeable. My waiting time, that I always had problems within the past was non existent yesterday. I was so pleasantly surprise that it was less than 10 mn. I was seen even faster. All in all it was a great experience and I hope it’s stay that way.
Went here today for the first time and would not return. I was on time, waited 2 hours to be seen. Was not seen by the doctor, when my appointment was booked I was asked if I wanted one with a PA or Dr.C, I asked for Dr. C. I saw a nurse practitioner. I didnt mind, I went along with everything. She recommended medication asked me for my pharmacy info, I gave that to her after giving it to reception upon intake. I go to my pharmacy and there is no prescription for me there. I call the clinic and they say it wasnt put through but that theyll contact the NP to put it through for me, I let them know I was there at the pharmacy waiting for it. I figured Ill come back for the medication later. Now its 3.5 hours later, I call again and she has still not put it through, they contact Dr. C and get back on the phone with me saying that the NPs notes were not clear enough for the doctor to prescribe me any medication. Are they kidding me? So I wasted 3 hours of my day so I could continue to feel uncomfortable? How is this okay? The receptionist was very nice, but basically had no solution for me saying that when the NP is in the office again (shes not sure if thats tomorrow) she will try to get it sorted out and get my script in. Additionally, the facility was not clean. Chances of me returning in two weeks for a follow-up are zero. I asked them to kindly cancel my next appointment as I would never return there, nor would I recommend it. I work in the medical field so Im aware of long wait times, but waiting for quality care...not the care I received.
The staff is amazing , but I don’t know what’s going on with the billing department what so ever. They just keep running me around in circles. I should have to worry if I’m going to be seen or not because a new charge is going to pop up or a absurd amount of money is still owed for some reason. Every visit I went to was covered by my insurance and this is still happening. I’m pregnant and all I want to know is if my baby is ok or not.
I’ve been going to this office for about a year now. Hoping each time it will get better. No matter what time your appointment is you are guaranteed to wait at least an hour. What is the point of a time slot? Dr.’s don’t necessarily make the best recommendations for you and present as cold and uninterested. PA Terry is the only reason I still come here. She is professional and takes her time to relay information to you. Additionally, the nurses who get you ready for the Dr., NP, or PA more often then not have someone training with them which isn’t a problem however professional courtesy is to introduce yourself. I needed blood work and had to be sent to a different place instead of it being completed on site. I had labs ordered and never got the results. Was never contacted by the doctor about this issue. Left several voicemails for the lab department with no response. I had to make a new appointment just to speak to someone. I would not recommend this office to anyone unless you have your whole day to waste.
The only issue is that my appointment was for 8am and the doctor didnt come in til after 8:15am and I wasnt taken to the exam room til 8:27am which if I wanted an 8:20am appointment I wouldve made my appointment for that time and then didnt get to leave til 9:23am, unfortunately this is not the first time a patients schedule isnt taken into consideration with this particular office. The appointment itself was fine
I was going to this office for a while and I do not know how I lasted that long. I really only went for one doctor there but the staff is terrible. One person tells you one thing and another person tells you something different. I had an issue with billing. The office manager told me one thing and said that I did not have to pay many months ago. Hadnt heard from them until I had a recent office visit and they brought up this charge again saying I had to pay it and it was not the office managers place to amend the charges as she did. So now I am stuck to pay a bill from a year ago that I was told that I didnt have to pay due to a misunderstanding. They also told me that as of Friday (today is Monday) that the office manager was on vacation and today she no longer works there. Every time I go I see many new staff members. Another problem I had when I went, one of the aids was repeatedly asking me the same questions (about my family history that never changes) that should be on the computer on my file. She kept asking me the same questions so I began to change my answers and she told me that my answer had changed. I requested to not have her again and sure enough I had her the next time due to many staff members changing and no follow through or professionalism.
My 1st experience with the staff and PA at this location was excellent. They are very welcoming, informative and wait time is good. Natalie, the Office Supervisor is kind and helpful. Highly recommend this location!
My doc was so caring and understandingShe knew I was having a bad day and wouldn’t let me leave until my pressure went downShe and her PA we’re so caring
First time at this location. The staff was very pleasant and humanly. Very pleasant and clean environment. Wait time was short, visit was quick, my main complaint was dealt with in a timely manner. The back staff ladies who helped me was so polite and good mannered. Very good visit.
Ive been going to them for a couple of years now, i would never recommend garden obgyn for anyone. i usually go to the garden city location. first off theyre very unprofessional, unorganized. Management is horrible-she doesnt care about her patients. A Dr. put me birth control and afterwards i kept complaining of a headache she stated thats normal than a couple of days later i called back and another dr. stated i shouldnt be on that birth control if Im having headaches. the second incident, is i had an important procedure to do because i been having severe pelvic pain and i made the appt for week ahead and a couple of hrs before my appt they sent a text stating appt has been cancelled. This place is beyond ridiculous.
Dr Mauricio was great. Very difficult to schedule appointment for procedure over the phone. Procedure scheduling line (option 5) - nobody picks up the phone, nobody returns calls. It took me 10 days, calling multiple times every single day to schedule my procedure. I was on hold up to 30 minutes at times, I spoke to a few different receptions, who did not know what they were doing. Finally receptionist Olga helped me very professional and quick.
The staff was friendly but seemed a bit disorganized. I had an appointment and when I came, they made me wait 30 minutes to tell me the proper Dr. wasnt in office and needed to be rescheduled. It was a hassle to have to come all the way to their garden city location to just have to be turned away. In my prior visit I had a few exams done and was supposed to receive a call back from a lab which never happened. I advised their team of this several times.Overall, my experience with this office has been mediocre.
Made three appointments with this group and had three appointments cancelled. Have no faith that the care offered would improve after such poor management of something as small as an appointment. Perhaps it will turn out to be a blessing that this office couldnt manage to see me, but right now it is nothing but frustrating. Save yourself time and skip this practice entirely.
Wanted to say the staff are great. I really want to say thanks to a wonderful lady by the name of Cathy. A person to talk to no matter what the situation is. I really want to thank her how she has helped me and my wonderful wife. Im really speechless of what to say about her but all positive things Its all I can say. I really want everyone to know that this lady is really doing her job and its not just her other staff as well. I also want to appreciate them as well. But speaking to her makes me feel more calm of the situation I was in. Thank you so much for everything! For the other staff I really want to say thank you guys for your help and for trying and doing your best! I really want to thank you all for the support there is nothing compare to you guys. Thank you once again! Sorry if I misspell your name 😁
Coming to this office as a new patient assuming I would be in there for hours by the ratings and peoples comments but I wasnt. Everyone there was very kind to me. I had the privilege of meeting Rosemarie Hazoglou, D.O. who explained everything to me and listened very nicely and wasnt in a rush to get me out of her office. Most doctors Ive been to did that abs is the little things that count. The wait in the room was great I went in did my sonogram, blood work all at a reasonable pace. I would recommend this office to someone else even if Ive only been there once. First impression is always important to me. The office is very comfortable not awkward at all. The front desk assistant was very friendly. I have to say I got blood work done by my doctors office and on my arm I was badly bruised. This lady name Ester did my blood work my arm today feels amazing not bruises.
I’ve been a patient here for a very long time all staff & reception is very nice and friendly. Any time I had to come in for service, I was treated with respect and kindness. They were very patient with me when I had to get my IUD inserted, which was not pleasant for me or for staff (terrible pain tolerance) & for the removal as well.Wait time getting you down? Get there earlier! This business has been getting a lot of positive attention throughout the time I’ve been seen here, that being said there’s always going to be some wait time with many patients wanting to be seen, & it’s really about the way one goes into any profession that good attitude is reciprocated. Don’t think I’m going to be switching offices any time soon.
Ive been a patient forever and will say some of the reviews may be true. I will add however that I have never left unhappy. I have experienced long wait times, the misplaced chart but the care I receive is always above average. Communication is key and if you address your concerns in a professional manner the response will be likewise. I saw Rosemarie Hazoglou today. She is outstanding. Ultrasound experience was wonderful as always. Although Ive never had any adverse test findings I always want to know my results and rather not get them over the phone so I make an appointment to get them. Everyone wants to see the Dr. when they get off work....I avoid those times whenever possible and if it cant be avoided I bring my Nook with a fully charged battery!! I will wait forever where my health is concerned.
This place is either very very disorganized, or they are just so busy that they have no time for their patients. Not only have I waited over an hour in the chair waiting for my doctor OR to get my sonogram. But it is IMPOSSIBLE to get any representative on the phone to answer any questions. I was under the impression my IUD was all set with my insurance company, and it turns out Garden OBGYN says its not covered and I did not find out until 8 weeks later. I called my insurance and they said it was covered. Getting anyone on the phone to answer any questions takes 40-50 minutes. YOU deserve better - find a doctor/office that will be there for you when you need them. This place is a JOKE.
The staff was very friendly and professional. The doctor showed concern when she was speaking to me and by doing so she made me comfortable in speaking to her. This for me was comforting. This was my second visit and the first only complement the second. I will recommend anyone looking for a GYN doctor to Garden OB/GYN.
This was my first and my last time here. I had an appointment at 10:30 am and I arrived at 10:32 am. I was sitting in my robe for almost 2 hours. I stepped out into the hallway to ask anyone if they knew when I would be seen and the tech told me “ oh you got here at 11am but they will see you shortly”..... no I got here at 10:32 maybe 2 minutes late but that doesn’t justify the reason why I was in a robe waiting patiently to be seen and no one checked up on me. I don’t mind waiting 30 mins but 2 hours!!! Don’t waste you time here!
If youre willing to wait for hours, This is the place where you have to be. It is the worst place ever. i would recommend every one to stay away from this clinic as they are not respecting the appointments and they will left you wait for hours to get even seen by their nurse practitioners. Even if you wanna do urine or blood test, They need almost 8 weeks to get the results from 3rd party lab. You gonna wait forever without even any kind of interest or appreciation. If you guys are not able to handle this kind of business, Then please shut it down and close it instead of wasting our time.
All the staff that works here does an amazing job at making sure u feel important and are well taken care of. The way the practice is decorated makes u feel good as well. Its well lit and had beautiful hand painted pictures all over the walls. The smell is also inviting too.
Love my experience there ,as soon as you come in you feel welcome ,all the stuff are very polite and attentive. I never felt so confortable in an office.
Have been to the massapequa location many times, but this was my first time visiting the garden city location. I have to say the staff and the doctor were super friendly. The doctor I saw was amazing and easy to talk too, she listened, actually listened to my concerns. Definitely will be back to this location again even though it’s further out for me, b it worth the drive! Thank you
I have been seeing them for over a year. They were great when I had my second child. Dr. ARE delivered. Wonderful experience. Every time I have an appointment the whole staff is personable and friendly. I will recommend their practice to anyone.
God forbid you have a medical emergency. The average hold time on any phone call could be forty minutes! The physician assistant was very patient and kind, but to get my test results the mailbox was full, and the phone lines are always impossible to get through. Im dealing with Cancer so speaking to someone about test results are important. I used to go here years ago, and I feel that the care, like the cleanliness, and the patient experience have declined dramatically. Very disappointed.
Waited 2 hours at the Garden City location. After arriving on time. Didnt see the actual person I had an appointment with. No explanation. Just an apology. 2 hours is excessive. I dont usually write reviews but I noticed 3-4 practioners sitting in their office at the same time. Apparently no one wanted to take care of me. Awful experience. Never again. I will go to Massapequa. Even though its farther away.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS OFFICE!!!!! These people are scam artists. You will NEVER be seen by an actual doctor. They charge your insurance bogus services. They pay outside companies to write amazing reviews for them on Google but go to Yelp and you will see reviews from their actual patients. They have a 1.5 star rating on yelp, yet they have a 4.2 star rating on google. TERRIBLE MEDICAL OFFICE.These people are trash.
Very upset that I am getting stuck with a $515 bill for sonogram after paying $50 copay. I went in for an annual exam and they recommended a sonogram, told me it’ll be $50 copay. When I asked for a referral to Main Street Radiology since they are referring me for mammogram anyways, their response was “No, since we do it here, we don’t refer out.” Now they’re saying because my insurance needs a referral for the sonogram from PCP, but since we didn’t get one, it’s not covered and I’m responsible for the entire bill. Had the PA given the referral to Main Street Radiology, it would’ve been covered like the mammogram and sonogram (for a different body) that I got on the same month. Not only will they not take responsibility and but now they’re saying they’ll send me to collections now. VERY UNETHICAL.
If I could give negative stars I would. Booked appointment to see Dr. Culotta, and after receiving several text messages confirming insurance and appointment, I show up. Only to find out after giving entire medical history and urine sample, that the doctor I booked is not there and I’m seeing a physician assistant. I purposely booked Dr. Culotta not and assistant. But they don’t tell you until after. They then proceeded to say that after seeing the pa I could make another appointment to see the doctor. Are they kidding, another bait and switch only to bill my insurance twice. Never go there if you really want a doctors care the first time.
I’ve been going to Garden OB/GYN in Garden City for a few years now and the service I receive every time is always excellent. Dr.Gopika Are and the staff were warm and welcoming. She explained everything to me in a very clear manner. She was kind, and the staff was excellent, they worked quickly and efficiently to ensure my healthcare needs were met. It’s always a great experience from start to finish. I would highly recommend the clinic to anyone.
Disappointed in this practice. They told me that a really great PA, my PA Terry S. retired and that was the only person keeping me there. She was knowledgeable, kind, and had excellent bedside manner. The wait time on the phone and in the office is ridiculous. They lost my OB blood samples and cannot explain how or why? I had an emergency and no one ever got back to me. I NEVER met an OB doc or midwife. I asked for literature and was told next time at each visit. Misdiagnosis was made that was clearly documented from a previous encounter, if the person took the time to read and catch up on the new patient they inherited. I just didn’t feel safe. So I grabbed my brassiere and ran. Some tips for the office:Since going to a new office and separate practice my new OB’s office has diagrams, books, and they provided me with a booklet without even being asked. They gave me an OB calendar detailing the OB plan, journey and schedule of important appointments that need to be made. I have been provided with a separate number to call in the event of an emergency or to call with ANY concern. I have called the main line, they take a message and the doc gets back to me that same day. This is the standard of care that needs to take place at Garden OB/Gyn.
