Nice and clean . Great staff from receptionist Krissy to physician Stephanie to Dr. Cole and her assistant Jan . Very glad I came here 1st . Took care of my ear problem suggesting most cost effective way and ended up saving me a lot of money . Process was very quick and easy. Checked on me the during the whole process to make sure I was okay . Very appreciative of their service .
Friendly and clean. Easy check in process. Nice staff and waiting area. Quick and efficient. Dr.Janice Suhajda was so helpful and informative. Hopefully.i wont need to return but if I do, Ill definitely come here! Thanks for making the visit as pleasant as possible.
I googled somewhere to take my daughter for a sports physical. I seen that this place had good reviews and it was only $55. We were in and out in less than an hour. All of the staff were super sweet and very professional. I recommend this place to everyone.
I went to this immediate care facility and had an extremely disappointing experience. Despite only a couple of people in the waiting room when I arrived, it took over two hours to be seen. When I finally did get called in, I had to get my blood drawn, and the person drawing my blood was completely incompetent. She struggled to find a vein in my arm after multiple pokes, even though Ive never had issues with the veins in my arms before. She then decided to poke my hand, and although the blood started coming out initially, it quickly stopped. To try and force my blood to come out, she pushed the needle in farther and moved it around, causing me a lot of pain. She even tried pressing on my veins with her fingers while the needle was still in me, but nothing worked. After removing the needle, I had a huge lump on my hand that was super itchy and burning. She then had someone else come in to try drawing my blood. This second person also struggled and had to poke me twice. On the second attempt in my other hand, she was finally able to get it right.I left the facility feeling worse than when I arrived. I would recommend everyone to stay away from this immediate care.
Dont go here. I called to see if they can help me with a broken tooth for pain and infection I asked if I can get a prescription and they ended up given allegery medication. They completely forgot about me in the room only after 30 minute wait till I got the nurse myself and then they gave me allegery meds for infected broken tooth. Be careful of what they give you and make sure is something that matches what you came in for not some entirely unrelated. The last thing I need is to take wrong medicine Im glad I checked
This place passes certain kids and fails others. I have proof that there passing kids for sports physicals that are not passing . Do not go here if you care about your child. My attorney and team are begging our process to get these people out of the healthcare industry so our children are safe.
I spent $250 and left with nothing? Told the doctor I had an infection and she refused to treat me with antibiotics. Had to go elsewhere and guess what? I had an infection. Imagine if I actually listened to her and just let my infection go for weeks until I could see the specialist she referred me to. Such a waste of time and money and honestly dangerous. When someone is paying out of pocket, and is telling you what’s wrong with them, listen. I know doctors like to think their patients have no clue what’s going on but I promise we do. I won’t be back here.
Thank you for caring for me and understanding the pain within my injury. Staff were very friendly and made me feel comfortable. Very clean environment and the wait time wasnt very long for me to receive care. The staff were very attentive to my injury and assisted me every way possible caring for it. Thank you again! #🙏🏾
Wonderful experience. Chrissy at the front desk, Crystal in triage and Dr. Bard were top notch! Kindness, compassion and professional makes a huge dfference especially when you dont feel well
Walked in, I was asked to fill out some paperwork and waited about 10 short minutes. From the time I walked in to seeing the doctor everyone was very professional. If asked by my P.C.P. (primary care physician) I would definitely go here again, off 28th street, east of Kalamazoo Avenue, south side of the street. Very Happy with my results and everyone who was there for me.
This is the second mishap I have had with this 28th Street AFC location. The first was when I had bronchitis. After the first round of steroids didnt work, instead of prescribing an antibiotic, they prescribed even more steroids which including some powdered form I was to inhale. By the time I got to my primary doctor, I was a wreck. She pulled me off all the steroids and put me on a z-pack and the bronchitis was much better in a few days, but not after I went through 3 days of steroid withdrawal which included massive migraines. The next mishap was recently with my daughter. I brought her in because she had clear signs of the flu and had been around someone for 3 days prior who had been diagnosed with Type A flu already and really sick from it. When they did both a flu and Covid test, she was told both test were negative and could not be treated for the flu since it was negative. They refused to give her Tamiflu. Grant it she was vomiting constantly while were at AFC, but they sent her home with a prescription for nausea and pain (Motrin). Its been one week since I took her to AFC and shes has been in the ER for an infection related to the flu and again at her primary doctors for... Type A flu. All the doctors said if she had just been given Tamiflu when she first went to AFC last, she wouldnt be in such bad shape. The inflammation from the flu is so bad that she has a bad strawberry tongue and an all over body rash. She cant eat without pain. She has lost nearly 20 lbs., in one week from this. I have to take her back this afternoon for bloodwork and an infusion because she is so dehydrated. I dont know about the AFCs in the area, but avoid this one at all cost for anything other than a band aid.
Appointment 3/24/24 around 3 pm.The receptionist was very rude. Made everything complicated and confusing. Not helpful. The nurse and doctor were good. The management needs to take some action so this does not happen to another person.
I was traveling on a business trip to Grand Rapids, had unbearable sinus pain and a feeling that I will be knocked down with flu in few hours. So decided to visit this facility. No 6 page paper forms to fill out, enter basic information on phone and then wait time is less than 20 minutes. Doctor Sheuly spend good amount of time by asking questions about history relating to sinusitis. She performed Flu and Covid test, after it was negative she recommended saline nasal spray and other home remedies, and an assurance that it will cure by itself. Given the fact that I was in Vietnam 4 days ago, she prescribed antibiotics but with strict instructions that I use it only if fever shows up or symptoms don’t get better after two days.Overall:Doctor: Very thorough and gives proper attention and time to address patient concernsNurse/assistant: pleasing and comfortingFacilities: clean, ample parkingStaff: courteous
They are really slow and don’t have enough help at all been waiting for 3hours on a X-ray sad never again
The staff were very friendly and thorough. They saw my son in a timely manner. Overall our experience was great.
We try to stay within our hospital urgent care system for easy transfer of info but we had no choice everything else was closed. Im was so happy with our experience here. Professional, pleasant, patient, and understanding. I left the house without any info on accident. YOU DO HAVE TO HAVE IT but I was able to have my hubby take pics and send them to me to show them. the appt was for my 87 year old mom and they treated her like a queen. If need be we will go here again frim now on. Such a more convenient location and getting info to your doctor was SO EASY.
I made an online appointment to get a tetanus shot because I cut myself at work. When I got there, they said they wouldnt do it because I didnt need stitches and they dont just give immunizations. On their website it says they do, which is kind of the point of a walk-in clinic. I mentioned that I hadnt been boosted within the 10-year period and it didnt matter. They said I had to make an appointment with my primary care physician (which he is booked for over a week out) and sent me on my way.
I dont write reviews often, but we really had a great experience! The waiting area was nice and we felt very welcome. Kaylina, the receptionist, Kiley, Jamie, and Dr. Cole were all fantastic- very friendly and did a great job. Also, I was surprised how quickly we saw the doctor. We will definitely go back next time we need urgent care.
Prompt and friendly service. Nurse and doctor were both caring and thorough and took the time to listen well.
Horrible customer service, I went in for UTI symptoms and said they couldn’t find anything so they were going to refer me to urologist and now it’s been over a month that I’ve been waiting and I still have not had a call from AFC or the urologist they referred me too, I’ve called over 5 times now hoping I’d get an answer but the only response they have is they’ll call me back when they get a response back. It’s so frustrating because all I need is an appointment set and AFC makes it seem like it’s too much to talk to urologist office directly for me and figure this out. Very much still in discomfort from my last visit at AFC over a month ago!
Nice and clean, very nice staff. Didnot wait to long to get a xray. And the upload them within a hour so my doctor could view them today.
I have a fear of needles and went in for a shot. My caretaker was very fun to talk to and keep my mind off things
Tyra was absolutely amazing! She was very patient and took lead with not only me but the customers around me. She has great customer service and I was well impressed on how she handled different situations! 10/10
We moved from Canada last year and this is our first time to see a doctor here. The doctor and staff are fantastic, it’s really a great experience for me, considering the convenient opening hours, will definitely recommend to anyone!
Staff were friendly to me but it would have been nice to know that my insurance did not accept the service before going back into the doctors room.
I just had a wonderful experience. I had to get sutures removed from my neck so I was pretty anxious. The nurse was so kind and helpful. She got the doctor involved because there’s were a little tighter than usual. He removed them flawlessly without any pain and had a very kind bedside manner. I would recommend this location.
I came in because I was in severe chest and back pain on a Saturday morning. From the receptionist to the attending Doctor I was treated professionally and efficiently. The facility was clean and well ordered. They also accepted my insurance. I will not hesitate to go back should I need to.
Very kind staff. They got me in fast and made everything quick and easy
First time being there and I loved how fast we were in and out. Staff are very pleasant and Dr. Lisa Cole is AWESOME!!! Definitely recommend.!!
I believe I’ve already done that. But here it is again:Absolutely a 10!Everyone one was great. From the receptionist to Stefanie I believe, who took my vitals to Dr Suhajda whose patient demeanor and professionalism was extraordinary.I will definitely remember my experience and tell everyone about it. You can be very proud of these people.
This is the only place I will go to because the people there actually care about who is coming through the door. If it wasnt for Kaylina today the probability of keeping my job would have evaporated. I dont often see a business anymore where the most important thing is the people walking in their doors. It seems to be a mythological Creature rairly seen. Kaylina and Dr Scot Duemler treated me with the respect and empathy one would hope to find at an Urgent care. Especially when your not 100. Most people who come through that door are probably NOT having their best day. I know they made mine a lot better. Thank you guys!!!Mateo
Im very impressed with the quality of care your team showed. From the moment I walked in, all the way to the discharge I was treated personally and with quality care, thank you to your team
I had an excellent experience as a walk in patient for a Federallly reqired DOT annual/bi-annual Physical. The staff members I encountered were attentive & knowledgeable. The physician was extremely knowledgeable and answered all my questions clearly, concisely & with great confidence.DOT (Dept. of Transportation) physicals are usually NOT covered by insurance. Their price is very reasonable. About mid-range as compared to other facilities. Prices for a DOT physical range from $60-$150. This one was $99 & came with 1st class patient care... Well worth it.Whether youre sick, or need a physical for work or school, I highly recommend AFC Urgent Care.
The doctor was incredibly kind. I felt heard and was able to participate in creating my treatment plan. The nurse I saw was welcoming and engaging. Great experience
Stuck up snobs at the front desk trying to charge $140 to see my 2 year old daughter because my insurance was “out of state”. Can’t even vacation in peace because of greedy corporations like this, took her somewhere else where they understood the situation and had the fee waived. Thank god we still have some good Doctors and Nurses left in this world
I accompanied a friend that needed medical attention while metro cruise was going on. Did that checking in on the tablet and when called for registration was rudely greeted. She seemed upset or having a bad day but its not a patients fault for that. Had to leave and look somewhere else for attention. Its disappointing to write bad reviews for front line heroes but one person ruins the image.
Look elsewhere unless you want to waste your time. The receptionists were very nice so I have no problem there, but the nurse that screened me before seeing the doctor wrote down symptoms I told her I did not have and then ignored some of the symptoms I did have! After that, I had to sit in the exam room for, no joke, 45 minutes to see a doctor! When the doctor finally arrived, he asked me 3 questions and prescribed me two products all in the span of about a minute so lets hope he was right!
Dr Bard has treated me a number of times when I cant get into my reg doctor for weeks. He and the staff are always kind and understanding which is really nice. Kudos Doc!
I wish I can give no stars. I have been getting billed for months for a sports physical. I provided proof of payment several times but still getting billed in my old name no less for a no insurance service that I my daughter brought my son to. The staff is rude and the manager was non responsive to my inquiries. The payment was made at time of service but the staff didnt enter it so I get billed. Make that make sense. SMH
Today was my first visit at AFC urgent care….and may I say it’s not my last they had wonderful service so kind and welcoming… special shout-out to Jennifer who works at the front desk she did an excellent job with getting me check in….thanks again AFC
We waited for quite a while, but the service once we were back in the room was great. Very friendly, professional and through. I felt I received great care, thank you!
Nice friendly staff, was in and out in 25 min
What is the point of the appointment if they don’t matter? Made an appt online and when I showed up 10 minutes early there were six people in front of me. The staff told me they were quite backed up and they had to accommodate all the walk ins.The reason I chose this location was that I could make an appt for my child, but when you show up you’re behind all the walk ins?The lobby was quite worn too for such a new location.
It is the worst clinic I have in whole my life. I went three time asking about appointment for COVID19 test and they told me I do not need to do appointment. when I walk in to do the test, I waited two hours for nothing. they do not respect the time, and they do not have to open clinic in the USA because they do not know what the time means. I wished there is less than one star.12/17/2022: unfortunately, google does not allow me to do another review, because I promise myself to spend 10 minutes every day to make a negative review for this clinic. especially when I went to another one next day and I spend 30 minutes to do the test with all processing time. anyway, I still have 100 minutes from my 120 that I lost it in this un- organized clinic, and I will find another way to send my negative review, just to save the people and their time.
Receptionist does not belong in this business. People come here sick and scared and she was curt and incredibly rude. We almost just left had my daughter hadnt been so sick. Her one job is to be the first contact with the patient. The nurse and the doctor were Excellent. They were kind and professional in their care of us.I have a lot of patience and respect for the hard work of the medical profession. These doctors and nurses are going in and out of the building all day to tend to sick patients in their cars. Thank you!The receptionist is still needs another job.
Such a great experience. Very friendly staff and compassionate nurse and doctor. Took all the time to go over my questions. The doctors are not only convenient, but they are also extremely knowledgeable and kind. Super to have parking and the clinic was quiet and clean. The weekend hours are helpful. The staff are doing really good job to get the appointment very easily. We highly recommend this urgent care.
Came in for an appointment at 1045, got called back at 1125. The wait was terrible especially considering there was no one in the waiting area and no cars outside. The staff is nice but very dismissive or very absent minded. Wouldn’t recommend coming to this location in Grandville but the location in Holland is 100x better.
Kaylina and Essence were quick, very polite, and easy to understand and work with. Very happy with my visit. Thanks for helping to keep me healthy!
My appointment time was 1:27 pm. At 2:52 pm, I’m still waiting to be seen. I feel like I’m a victim of a bait and switch. If I knew I would not be seen at or near my scheduled appt time, I would have gone somewhere else. There was no communication with me at check in that they were running well behind schedule.
They are amazing and kind they absolutely love what they do and will make you feel very comfortable check in is easy not very busy
I went there on Jan 2022 for Covid test, they said I have to pay before testing so I paid in cash $350 for rapid test that was way too much for a Covid test. Now after 1 year they are sending me a bill of $360 again.I called them and told them that I paid at beginning but that aren’t trusting me and sent it to credit Bureo. I wouldn’t preferred going there again. Did the same thing with flu shot also I had insurance but they send me bill after 1 year.
Front desk staff was friendly. The doctor was kind and very throughout. I appreciate the excellent service!
Went for a broken hand. Doctor was really nice. However the m.a was rude and rough. Trying to force the fingers straight. Saying the x-ray wouldn’t take. She was extremely rough even went told she was causing additional pain.X-rays showed broken hand. They said they would contact orthopedics it’s been a week and haven’t heard a word. Went to spectrum and they were fantastic and caring. Took their time.
Everyone was friendly and helpful the lobby and back rooms were clean. I felt like the time waiting was not long at all.
Although the receptionist and my nurse were nice, ultimately the doctor should be the most important and most professional. That being said “Dr.” Jonathan Reitzenstein was not worth my $30 copay. Instead of numbing and stitching up my cut he chose to try to convince me how much better gluing it would be. He actually still used a syringe of numbing medicine but only to flush the wound because it would help stop the bleeding which was necessary to applying the glue. I would of rather had the pinch of the needle than breathing through him pushing and pinching the edges together as he glued. Imagine my surprise after seeing the edges didn’t look any closer together than the original cut! After he left I had to add more glue to the one end because it was missed. I do not see how his half measures were faster than doing the right thing but I guess the importance of not being there past closing time was more important. Now I have to live with a scar that had anyone else done the right thing would have been minimal. My suggestion, drive past this place and go to the other urgent care further down the road, which was the one I thought I was going to, I don’t see how they could be any worse.
$165 for covid test? Your boss is sick.
The manager Kaylina was very nice and she spend a lot of her time helping me and my grandma. She was very kind.
Im just not a go to the doctor type of person so when I found myself in need of one I had no clue where to start. My insurance nurse line recommended this place and I was beyond skeptical, but from the moment I walked my opinion was changed. The woman at the desk was so nice and explained what I needed to know with no judgement of my ignorance of all things medical. The wait was short and the lobby neat and clean. The doctor was personable and efficient. They were even able to change where I could pick up my prescription after I realized I had a change of plans.
The Staff I commend them for being caring and the Doctor that I see was concerned about my issues she took time and thoroughly explained everything to me I just want to say THANK YOU
We have gone to AFC a number of times for urgent care visits and COVID testing. Each time the staff has been friendly, kind and patient. My daughter was crying out of fear to get COVID tested and the nurse was so comforting to her. I’m super grateful because it was busy and I’m sure she didn’t have time for that. I also appreciate getting my results promptly so I have piece of mind right away.
Went in for an eye infection. The waiting room was very comfortable, and I loved how they had toys to keep my kids busy. Staff was very personable, courteous and polite. I didnt have to wait too long at all. And when it was my turn, the doctor and nurses were very efficient and kind! Will be back ... I think Im going to switch my primary care to this doctor at AFC too!
Our doctor and nurse were wonderful. They did a great job helping us understand what was going on and our options for treatment. The receptionist was very kind and helpful.
Doctors and staff are really great and very caring every time Ive gone here. Have gone in for check ups and COVID tests. Every experience was very professionally handled and they made me feel comfortable. Their offices are very clean and up-to-date.
Krystal and Kaylina front desk were very friendly courteous and very helpful. Near closing and they were still willing to help, show theyre kindness and give the knowledge.
Had an appt. For 🩻. Everything went smoothly. Office was clean. Staff friendly. Technician was awesome, professional and worked efficiently. This veteran was pleased.
The staff at AFC is courteous, kind and efficient. I would highly recommend this team of professionals to provide care for yourself or a loved one in need!
The staff here is very friendly .A big thanks to Dr Bard for quickly removing a foreign object from my ear and to Eryn for great service. I was out in about an hour in the late afternoon so not a long wait. Highly recommend.
Probably the best Urgent Care in the area. Great doctors and friendly, approachable staff, beautiful facility, great amenities, and Ive never waited for more than 15 minutes to be seen. Just now I received a follow-up phone call to check in on my healing progress. Highly recommended to family and friends!
Fast but customer service wasnt the best. I went in at about 6:30 for wrist and hand pain. I was called after filling out paperwork within 5 minutes. The nurse that took care of me was rough and moved my hand in all sorts of painful positions just to get blood pressure and her attitude was just one of I would rather be anywhere but here. When I saw the doctor he ordered an xray which was done quickly and was sent home with a doctors note saying I can return to work but with restrictions and to take Motrin as needed. The doctor was friendly with me when we were in. I tried to return to work the following day with the doctors note and was told to go home as it said I had restrictions for up to two weeks. My work told me to get a note saying I can return to work on Monday and I called them back and the doctor told me he couldnt do it and was unprofessional to the max. He said to give them what I have or get one dated for the present day. I told him that I needed it for Monday and he just plain out refused. However, I stopped in on Sunday to get the note and I talked with the director of the facility and she was super nice, friendly, courteous, and understanding. She wrote me a new note dated for Monday and more than made up for the negative attitude I received over the phone. They worked to make me have a positive experience which I appreciate.
Dr Sheuly is one of the best, her bedside manner was exceptional, she took care of me, the staff is professional, no long wait times. This is by far the cleanest Urgent care I have ever visited and as Safety Manager in the past I have seen a lot. If you want GREAT care you should visit AFC they really care about their patients. They also follow-up with a phone call to make sure you were taken care of, If I could give 10 stars I would.
The staff was great; kayliha at the front desk, Julie, and Dr.Bard were awesome. They explained the USCIS process really well.
We are very satisfied with the service, there was a very responsive woman at the reception, she treated my wife with great care, my wife had a delicate problem and we are very satisfied with how we were communicated with and served.
Through the years, I’ve taken my kiddos to urgent care when they had become sick over a weekend. What a difference this trip was! The staff was friendly and professional. Before I could even download a book to read to my little one, we were called back. The doctor was in to see us within minutes. She put my little one at ease and discussed the diagnosis and the medication with me and we were on our way to the pharmacy. Best urgent care experience in 24 years!
Kaylina front desk staff made me feel welcomed and very much comfortable even helped me with a charger I love her energy she’s amazing tell her to keep up the good work.
Took my daughter here for a sports physical.Hands down the best experience ever! Was so impressed with the doctor we had. He didnt just do a physical but went over concussion procedures as well as other things specifically important to her sport. The nurse was equally wonderful as well as the receptionist. They had such a clean and inviting place. Equipped with complimentary snacks, water, fresh lemonade, coffee. Flat screen TVs. They didnt miss a thing! More then quality health care at an affordable price! Such an amazing experience!
I didnt want to go to urgent care, but nobody can avoid it. Good thing I ended up to go to this facility. It was a nice experience. Every one was very friendly which gave me a better comfort against my sickness. While I was filling in my paperwork on of the office executives reached to me and offered me coffee, that was wonderful gesture. Before I got my coffee nurse called me in and doctor Byron examined and gave me necessary advice and prescriptions. More over doctor asked the nurse to check whether they have medication in house. Luckily they had those medications and I didnt have to go to other place for the same.I would recommend this facility to my family and freinds without any doubt. This facility is very clean, less waiting time and overall the service I received on that day beyond my expectations.
I was in and out. I know I needed an ear flush so I went there, was able to have my ear flushed out, was on my way within a half an hour. They are fast and great. The only downside was they made me wear a mask
A bizarre experience. The person in charge of intake first joked about a “$700 outstanding balance” after which she said, “just kidding…”The doctor gave me half of my normal prescription without discussing it with me - I only discovered it when I picked up my script. He lectured me at length about how overwhelmed they are and that I should probably find care elsewhere. If your arm is bleeding or you have an urgent condition, this is probably a decent place to go. They probably won’t hurt you.Don’t expect a lot. Accept that the staff are probably overworked and underpaid.
When I visited the Grand Rapids location it turned out to be the worst medical care I’ve ever experienced. The nurse was super kind and thoughtful but the doctor that came in was extremely disrespectful and dismissive. He said there wasn’t any way I could be having the issues I was describing. While I was still trying to explain my symptoms he walked out of the room and talked over me telling me I was set to leave.
I went in there last Wednesday feeling awful and needed to get relief in order to be able to fly my trip Sunday. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. Timothy Byon, the doctor that saw me, was great. He gave me background on himself that made me feel right at home. My husband and I just moved to the area within the last month. He was able to diagnose my symptoms quickly and prescribed antibiotics and got me some samples to help speed the recovery process. I was in and out within 30 minutes. I was feeling much better by Saturday and was able to fly Sunday. There is plenty of parking and the waiting area is very nice. They even called Monday to follow up and see how I was doing. Hopefully I wont be sick again, but if so this is where Ill head.
Great staff! In literally a few minutes I was seen and diagnosed by a physician who prescribed medications to address my coughing. I had never been to an urgent care center before, so I did not know what to expect. I was very happy with my care.
The staff at AFC Grand Rapids were fantastic - went above and beyond to expedite our PCR tests for an overseas flight. Can’t thank you enough! Smooth process from appointment scheduling through follow up results.
Really friendly and knowledgeable staff. I went for the urgent care but ended up changing my PCP to this office! Kaylina at the front desk was so helpful! Thank you to everyone there!
I’ve been coming here for a little over a year when things for myself or my toddler arise. The staff is normally really sweet! The facility is always clean, smells good and is kept stocked with water, coffee and snacks. There’s also a kids corner that’s helpful if you have to bring your littles with you. My only reasoning for giving them 4 stars is because there was a billing issue concerning a lost lab test. Other than that, they’re great!
Horrible experience and untrained staff!! I was helping a refugee get an appointment for her immigration case. I had to reschedule the appointment and they schuduled me during a time when there was not a doctor to preform the physical. We waited an hour in the exam room and then were told about the mistake. Amazingly enough no one in reception remembered talking to me on the phone. We rescheduled at the Grandville location the next day. When we arrived We were asked for immunization records and $450! I was NEVER informed of the cost or the records needed. Second trip wasted. Why wouldnt the staff tell you what you needed when you called for the appointment? Third trip!!! We were unable to be seen because we didnt have an interperter!!! AGAIN NEVER Was I told that an interpretar was needed. What a waste of time and wages lost each time we tried to have an appointment. I would not reccomend these offices for anyone!!
WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY! This place is seriously a JOKE. Weve recently moved to the area and needed to find a new family doctor. This place has really great hours so we thought wed give it a shot. I did my initial physical here, and when I came back later on due to unexplained stomach pain, I decided to never return and I wanted to share my experience so nobody makes the same mistake. The doctor told me that they could not figure out what was going on and that I could wait it out and if it doesnt get better or if it gets worse, I can go to the emergency room. When we got in the car, we read through the doctors notes and it said that the doctor recommended me to go to the emergency room IMMEDIATELY as it could be a life threatening issue. THAT WAS NEVER MENTIONED TO US, as stated before, the doctor said wait and see...which is why we were confused as to why they didnt order labs to be done the following day since they dont have equipment to do further investigation on whats going on. UNPROFESSIONAL, they just wanted to cover themselves in case something were to happen..... the doctor lied on the patient documentation. Apparently the doctor on duty was one that was only there once a month. I called the manager to tell them about my experience, and she said she needed to reach out to the doctor and see what she was thinking at the time, and I NEVER heard back.Be warned : DONT GO HERE!!!!
My partner and I have gone here multiple times over the past year , each time with incredible service. The doctors LISTEN. They sit there with you and genuinely take in what you’re saying, they don’t talk down to you, it is honestly a huge relief. This past time, my partner was extremely sick and had to be transferred to an actual ER, and they were extremely patient and kind to us. I’m sorry for the stress we caused, but transferring was the right choice and I appreciate everyone’s efforts at this clinic. It saved my partner’s life.
I sent my husband here after he’d been experiencing a cough and body aches. The doctor on staff that day was very friendly. However, the (I’m assuming) M.A. who checked him out and gave him the wrong dosage of a steroids was a terror to work with. The strength of the steroid did not match what his discharge papers said and they gave him more than what the bottle stated. A huge error and liability when it comes to powerful medications. When my husband called about this, no one gave him a straight answer on what he should be taking. Almost 2 weeks and $100 later my husband is finally starting to feel better. I personally do not recommend going to this facility.*****Updating my review 11/13/18After calling and speaking with Katie this evening, I was left feeling a little better about the entire situation. While this was still an error on the staff’s part that day, Katie was eager to help research and take action on what happened.
It is awesome to be able to get affordable care in the evenings and weekends. Most doctors offices are not available then (like I can schedule when I get sick). The staff & doctors at AFC are friendly and helpful. The facility is new and top notch. Best of all you can be seen quickly and get your prescription right there. I will be back.
If you want actual care, do NOT go to this urgent care. I gave two stars because the front staff was great - friendly, helpful and efficient. The doctor, on the other hand, clearly does not care about his job or patients. Unless they hire a doctor who actually cares, I will not be back.
I accompanied my sister to American Family Urgent Care on Christmas Eve. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left it was a positive, fast and effective experience at all times. The staff is uplifting and kind and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this urgent care and will go again when needed. Thank you so much for a positive experience. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
The office is very clean and inviting, the toy selection in the waiting room is fresh and fun (which my children enjoy, even when sick!), and the staff is attentive and informative. We always feel as though we are in good hands when we come, and we never wait for long until we are seen. We will continue frequenting this office whenever we are ill. Highly recommend!
Charged way too much money to do nothing but talk to me about 5 minutes & say its a virus theres nothing we can do. I took my temp at home and it was 101°, nurse took it and didnt even keep thermometer under my tongue more than 5-7 seconds and said I didnt have a temp. For the amount they charge for no meds & a 5 minute discussion, I would not waste my time or money going here. On the plus side - staff was very friendly.I spoke with Katie and she explained billing to me. She was very pleasant & helpful. They still seem expensive, but I now know the codes determine the charges and I was billed as a new patient since it was my first time going there.
You don’t even deserve one star!My husband took my 2 yr old because he was sick and had a fever I knew it was an ear infection he waited one hr and 30 min to be seen, Dr. Didn’t even lasted 5 min in the room said it wasn’t an ear infection and didn’t know what it was though it was rsv but said there’s no treatment or test for it prescribed some random medication.Thankfully my son had an appointment with his Dr. turns out it’s an EAR INFECTION! The medical care they provide is horrible.
Reception was professional and friendly as well as the nurses, my insurance wasnt able to cover so the copay was rather expensive for myself however I was able to show up before my scheduled appointment and got in and out before that time even came so I was grateful for the quick turnaround. The Dr. understood that I was a new patient and told me a bit about himself and that added a bit of camaraderie to the Patient/Dr. experience.
Great....very professional fast efficient clean
By far my best experience at an urgent care!! I was at AFC a week or two ago and saw Dr. Jon Reitzenstein. He was extremely helpful and informative, and all of the staff was very friendly. I also had in-house blood work (which I didn’t even know they could do!); the results only took 5 minutes and cost me less than $50 out of pocket. The facility itself was updated and very clean as well. I’ll definitely be coming back here if I have any urgent care needs!
Front office staff was friendly and efficient. Waited 25 minutes in my car to be seen even though nobody else was waiting. Never even saw a doctor, just had a MA do a swab. Doctor finally called 20 minutes later to say “well you don’t have a fever and the test was negative” and I explained Ive had a fever for 2 days and it was 101.4 earlier, to which he replied “bummer”. The MA also said (when my temp read as 97.1) that their thermometers didn’t really work well. It’s the next day and I have swollen tonsils, swollen lymph nodes, a fuzzy tongue and a fever that remains. I was advised “well if it was negative it’s negative” which anyone who has ever had strep can tell you isn’t true. Their only advice was visit the ER. $125 and an hour of my time completely wasted.
Wouldve gone with 5 had I never been there in the evening. Daytime staff are excellent, friendly cooperative and just all around a pleasure to be around. Evening staff not so much, so if you have to go do it on a day off or early. Other than that its a great place, fast efficient service and prices are competitive. Never really a long wait, and as I said before morning to early afternoon staff 👍
Friendly and professional. The facility was clean and service was fast.
Really really slow every time I come, even with an appointment. Must be only one doctor working, all I know is it’s frustrating sitting for half an hour for a scheduled appointment.Changed to 1 star bc I read the other reviews and it seems you lack proper child specialty care.
What a relief to have excellent urgent care AND PCP in the same place! The staff is customer centric and the facilities are modern and functional. The management has taken care to cater to the needs of the patients and their families by providing free water, snacks, coffee etc. Best part is they’re open all 7 days a week, which is key since illnesses don’t see days of the week.
Front desk staff was great and the lady that took care of me was also great. Im very thankful for their great and speedy customer service 😃😃 awesome experience from beginning to end!!
I scheduled an appt. online just a few hours before 8 a.m. and was able to get my son in early, just before 8:30! I was relieved to not sit in a waiting room for hours, especially on a weekend! My son was able to be seen and treated in a very quick, efficient manner which is much appreciated. The physicians were knowledgeable, friendly, and able to provide a quick diagnosis. I will not hesitate to visit this urgent care facility again if needed. I will also recommend to my friends and family! Thank you!!!!
Quick, clean, helpful, and the Doc was very personable. Was a skeptic but they where kind and the process took about 15min. Had broken tooth on the Weekend and no dentist appointment until Monday. Needed an antibiotic and advice. Relatively inexpensive in my opinion.
I came here while experiencing a lot of discomfort and my experience could not have been better. The front staff was beyond kind, the nurse was also above and beyond, and the doctor was also phenomenal. If you’re debating coming here do it, I promise you won’t regret it.
It was pretty clear that I was being rushed out of the office by the doctor, which is strange because I was the only person in the waiting room when I got there. I was supposed to be given 2 different medications, one for nausea and one for cramps but when I went to my pharmacy theyd received 2 prescriptions for the same medication. I confirmed with them and that is what they received from the doctors office. Not only that, but the work note I was given had the wrong dates. Luckily this didnt cause much of an issue with my employer but they need to slow down and pay attention to what theyre doing. I understand if the office is busy and other patients have more pressing needs but if Im literally the only patient in the office I expect better treatment.
Took my grandson to this place after he hurt his head. The wait times in this place are awful. They get you in the back quickly even when there’s not anyone there you sit in the back for at least an hour. Don’t know why it says urgent in the name of the place. They need to do a better job of accurately diagnosing people and getting people the quality of care they deserve. To be honest it just seems like some sort of racket to me .When you want quality care go somewhere else.
My experience was top notch from scheduling a place in line to meeting the staff and the doctor. I was prescribed the medicine I needed and Im already feeling better. Im so grateful.
I was seen in a reasonable amount of time and the Doctor (PA) Insaw was very knowledgeable and very kind to explain things to me in detail. Thank you again!
Don’t ever waste your time here. I went in for drug screening and the females at the counter had an attitude and tried to belittle me when all I asked for was a simple question. I walked out mid-sentence. They clearly hate their jobs and are miserable. If I could give zero stars, I would. But I’d like to warn others. Again, don’t waste your time going here.
Phenomenal experience. Very short wait times, excellent staff, and clean offices. Dr. Jobeda Sheuly is a phenomenal doctor. She was a perfect guide to figuring out what to do with my broken hand, and she was warm, friendly, and careful to find the right solution.
I’ve given this place three chances and somehow they seem to get worse each time. They have prescribed me random experimental medication. They wanted me to pay $50 for a rapid Covid test. Don’t waste your life in this lobby.
Highly highly recommend this for urgent care needs! The facility was exceptional and staff was very friendly and accommodating. Wait time was minimal and the services offered were top notch. I was able to walk in and out in 20 minutes with my prescription in hand as I left!
I recommend making an appointment online, I was even late by 10 minutes and I was immediately taken to an exam room, was diagnosed, and got prescribed antibiotics and I was on my way out! The whole process took 30 mins!Ive never recieved such fast care anywhere! Best part is they take medicaid and all the staff are very nice. This will be my new spot anytime I have a problem. You guys are awesome
When I went in for a sore throat and fever I was not given a full exam by the doctor and was told I had a viral infection; then I was rushed out of the room. Their self pay policy is very unclear and extra costs are not explained before you are expected to pay for them on your way out. I chose to go to another urgent care the next day and was given a different diagnosis with antibiotics prescribed. When I called to speak with the office manger about my disappointing experience, she turned it around on me and said I should advocate better care for myself if I feel the doctor isn’t being throughout enough. I feel if I am trusting and paying a licensed doctor to care for me, I should not have to instruct them how to do so. I will not be returning to this facility.
Went to have a camp physical form filled out for my child. Their website states they accept insurance. Upon arriving at the location on 28th St. I was told they do not bill insurance. I would have to pay out of pocket for the exam. Then proceeded to inform me that they charge $150 for an exam. Wow!! Then was lied to by the front staff when I was told Spectrum and Metro Health could bill my insurance. I contacted Spectrum after leaving the facility. Spectrum Urgent Care does not bill insurance for physicals. However, they charge $55 not $150. Seems like my next call needs to be to the Attorney Generals office to report price gouging for healthcare.
My finger was swollen and infected so I went to this med center, which was the closest one. When I went, there was only one other person who was checked in by the time we got checked in. One by one, people started to come in, no big deal right? The problems come when everyone started to go in BEFORE us when we already got checked in. Even a family of TWO that needed a physical for school sports got seen before us despite being checked in after us. Additionally, at the time of writing this, I was supposed to have my antibiotics picked up so my finger could heal. Turns out, this med center didnt even call it in despite the front desk and the doctor herself asking for our pharmacy location MULTIPLE TIMES and saying that my prescription would be filled.
Walked in with flu like symptoms (fatigue, runny nose, dehydrated, etc) and was required to answer a series of questions before sitting and waiting for 20 minutes to be called back. After explaining everything to the nurse she had me wait in a room for the doctor for another 45 minutes. The doctor then came in, told me I had flu like symptoms and to go home and rest. It took her about 5 minutes to do all of that and then left just as quick as she came. To add insult to injury, they gave me a receipt for $0 I had to wait for before I left. I would rather go downtown than go here again.
Was quickly sent home with no prescription or solution to help with my swollen, sore tonsils. The doctor came out briefly to ask me one or two questions, looked in my mouth, and determined that two days of pain and suffering wasnt long enough before I can be prescribe a steroid that will clear the inflammation. She suggested doing things that Ive already been doing e.g. salt water gargle. The doctor seems nice but I was not satisfied with the service I received today and it was no help at all. I should of just went to Metro Health Urgent Care instead. I wont be back, and I do not recommend this place.
Horrible experience. Went for a TB test and when I came back for the reading the girl was very unprofessional. She had no idea what she was doing and said she wasn’t sure what the reading was. Requested a second opinion from the male Dr that was working and he said everything was okay. The fact that she wasn’t sure what she was doing made me feel nervous as the patient. I will never go back to this place ever again and advise everyone to not go there either. Before I get the same reply from the owner as everyone else, I don’t use my first name.
I am a PCP patient here. Schuley is amazing. I love her. The only issue I’ve ever had is the front desk receptionists were messy, I would tell them I am a pcp patient for a HME and they would charge me urgent care. The hours are so well and I love my doctor but I think about changing constantly due to mismanagement with the front desk girls. I just think they’re poorly trained and lack knowledge in the position assigned.
The staff and Doctor were compassionate and caring. I was very impressed with the treatment that my granddaughter received.
Kaylina was very helpful in getting me checked in and my chart filled in completely! She was very pleasant!
I switched my primary care doctor to AFC. I love being able to see my doctor when I need to. At my previous medical facility, non urgent care took months to get seen. At a recent visit, I was seen right away and felt unhurried. Very nice place, warm and welcoming.
Super fast service, nurse was awesome and they even gave me a follow up call 3 days later. Wish they were closer to my house or this would be my regular urgent care. Big thank you for all you do!
The staff was kind and considerate, offering suggestions and showing real care. I was attended to within 5 minutes of walking in. Both the nurse and the doctor that attended to me were very professional, informative, and friendly. I highly recommend to anyone in the area.
I went to the grandville office to get a medical exam for Immigration appointment, Dr did not add date next to her signature so USCIS paused my case for incomplete medical exam. I called AFC as soon as I got the letter informing me of this early morning they said office manager would call me back by end of day and didnt so I called 8 something in the morning the next day and the lady tells me the Dr. left on vacation she just left yesterday (the day i was suppose to get a call back) and she wont be back till the 20 something so i would have to wait and pick up a new form when she is back. All i got is i apologize we are all humam we make mistakes but driving to this place 40 min away, paying over $500 to get this done as it should have and having my case delayed due to this is poor.
Amazing team! Got me in and out in less than 45 min. Helped me out greatly. Definitely recommend
I have gone here twice. The first time I didnt have insurance and it was way more affordable than I could have imagined. The second time I checked in online before going and there was no wait. Both times I was very satisfied with ammenties, service and most importantly the level of care. I wont go anywhere else when Im in need of urgent care now!
CDL physicalNo appointmentNo waitExtended hoursNo hassle examIn and out in an hourCheaper than a visit to Freightliner
I made an appointment for a rapid covid test for my 4 year old daughter. After showing up at 4:50 in back and calling only to be placed on hold for 10 minutes, 3 cars showed up after us and were given their test immediately after their arrival. Meanwhile i sat in my car with 3 little ones still not being helped. I called again and let them know, still no one showed. They even tried telling me that I wasnt waiting for as long as I said and they werent going to civd test my child qhen I specifically made the appointment for one to be done bc her school requires a negative test since she was showing symptoms. FINALLY i drove around to the front went inside and asked to be taken off their list bc no one was helping us for our SCHEDULED appointment 3P MINUTES PRIOR. Oh and there was literally NO ONE inside the business besides drs and nurses not one patient so THEM SAYING THEY WERE busy was a LIE. I am so upset bc I finally had to make the choice to leave after having my 4, 3 and 6 month old waiting for 40 minutes in a car while everyone around us was being helped and I was fed lies about them being busy. I have never been spoken to or treated so poorly by any drs office especially not for a sick child. What a complete disappointment.
Drove out of my way based on the great reviews and couldn’t be more disappointed. The two women i spoke to(assuming receptionists or schedulers) were so rude it was unbelievable. I didn’t even give this place a chance to earn my business after speaking with them. One of them was Mckaela i believe?
Ive been in your office several times, friendly Staff, clean, didnt wait very long to be seen.Reading thru the reviews, Im sort of bummed as ive never received a call back to check on how Im doing. Overall, i highly recommend you!P. S.After my last visit i had to go to Orthopedic Dr. I have a torn Meniscus in my left knee. Hence the knee pain i came in for. 😉
Appointments are pointless. Mine was at 9:01 and its 9:50 They still dont even have a clue when they can get me in. Chose this urgent care specifically because of the appointment time, when I got in it was basically like I didnt even make the appointment.
I have been here twice! Nothing but positive things to say about this facility and it’s staff. They are fairly quick, caring, and fast to help get you feeling better. Definitely would recommend this place for your urgent care needs!
Looks nice, seems like a wonderful health care facility up front. Charged more than normal copay at every other facility Ive gone to. At first, didnt think anything of it. They tried to convince me that they needed to charge up front for something that insurance 100% covers. They seem more like salesmen than actual professionals. Worse than that, openly discusses how to sell certain products to customers amongst themselves, to the point it can be overheard. Disregards customers health concerns. Disrespectful, and unhelpful. Disgrace to healthcare. Absolutely appalled.
Today I went to do a PCR test since Im traveling & went to AFC Urgent Care (Grand Rapids branch). Note I do not live in the US. My experience was excellent & professional. From the moment I walked in, I saw my name already listed on the sign in machine (I booked over the phone & filled up a link on my mobile a day before). I clicked on the button & waited. The friendly & nice receptionist lady called my name & processed my details. She took a copy of my passport then I paid & went behind the building with my sister to wait for the nurse to do the PCR test for me while in the car!A nice gentleman came out with a trolley that had all necessary equipment to do the test. First thing he did is measure my vital signs. He measured the Oxygen level in my body (should always be between 92 to 99) then my body temperature. After that, he asked me my height & weight. Everything was normal. Finally, he took a nose swab & answered my questions & left. These were the most important steps. Why? If the latter were abnormal in any way, then my swab result came positive, that means Im infected with COVID-19. For example, I did not have high fever & my oxygen levels were normal. Sometimes we could be carrying the virus without knowing & once doing the swab ONLY, the result would come out as positive & the person would think he/she are infected with the virus. This is called false positive. I took my two dose vaccines in Jan & Feb this year. After 15 minutes, I got my negative PCR test certificate signed & stamped. The lady who delivered the paper was amazingly nice & friendly.Note that I did the same test at a different Urgent Care but they were very unprofessional & gave me false results! I highly recommend AFC Urgent Care Grand Rapids for any medical needs.
Great Doctors and staff. I went in for a hurt ankle. I was given an x-ray right on site, and they discovered I had broken a bone. They wrapped it in a splint, had crutches on hand for me and referred me to the proper specialist to see if I need surgery. I was taken care of immediately and I appreciated how clean the facility was.
Just got back from a visit there. Excellent service, diagnosis and explanation of that diagnosis. By far the best Urgent care I have had to go to. Dr. Jon was very thorough and Bridget and Stephanie were great. If I need to go again sometime, this will be where I go.
Fantastic staff! Fast, friendly and efficient. Willing to work with a family member who was having a hard time with a mask. Truly went out of their way and absolutely appreciate them!
Every one was excellent! Dr. Cole was especially patient and kind. Very appreciated 😊
Just finished seeing Dr. Byon and the wonderful medical staff here for the first time. Came in with a bad migraine, was quickly seen and treated wonderfully since the second I walked in the door. They were accommodating to me and my symptoms and we were out of there in less than an hour. Will definitely come back and recommend this place to anyone. Thank you!
My daughter went in for an allergic reaction to an antibiotic and sun. She was swollen all over, had hives, bruises on her body, chest pain, dizzy, sore joints (you could barely touch her without hurting her), and she was nauseous. Im not sure why, but they tested her for pregnancy. They had ZERO reason to make her pee in a cup. They did not prescribe any steroids or anything that would have helped her. Later, we had to take her to the emergency room. Save your money and your time and do not go here.
I send many Nepali clients from my community to AFC urgent care. When they need immediate care. They told me the following things.1. Place is Clean2. Fast service3. Nice and helpful doctor4. Front desk registration were really polite and nice.
The wait was about 20 to 30 minutes but they provide snacks, drinks and a TV to watch while you wait. The doctor and staff did not rush us at all through the visit. Clean office. We called with a follow up question and they called us back to answer the same day. We were satisfied and will come back again if we need urgent care.
Staff and provider were extra kind and caring.. worrying about extra wait time...which was well under an hour on a VERY busy night! They answered all my questions and listened to all my concerns and made sure I understood what I needed to know. Thank you.
AMC Urgent Care is excellent!Their customer service was A1, and With them only closing within 15mins, they still checked my son in, and the doctor was nice, caring, and attentive. I appreciate a place that gives great Customer Service and are willing to help ( even at the last minute). THANKS😁
Scheduled an appointment for my whole family to get COVID tests due to exposure. When I scheduled the appointment, they said that someone would call back to get medical history. We never received a call. When we went for the appointment, although we arrived before others, we were taken after them. We were told 5-7 days for results. I called on the 5th day and was told that the lab is now saying 7-10 days! Friends have gone elsewhere and received results in 24 hours!! If you need COVID tests, go elsewhere!Update: Talked with the manager and was given all sorts of excuses. Finally received 1 of 5 test results 10 days after testing. It is now 12 days after testing & 17 days after exposure & we are still waiting on 4 test results.
Nice 😊 smile and was willing to listen to me!
Anyone in the health care industry needs to be friendly and welcoming to patients. This includes receptionists, which this office lacks. It seemed like nobody was in a good mood, and that patients are a burden. I would find a different urgent care!
I made an appointment for a covid test on Tuesday Nov 17th 2020 for Saturday Nov 21st 2020. After being off work all week and waiting on my appointment when i show up they tell me its $125 without insurance. Which i dont have because im a few weeks shy on my probation period at my job. So now i have to reschedule a different appointment somewhere else and take more time off work because their staff failed to mention insurance or government funded tests at all prior to my appointment. If telling me information like your insurance policy the day of my appointment is how you do business then im not impressed. One star for unprofessionalism and wasting my time.
The visit was quick and the staff was wonderful! Everyone worked hard to get me seen and fixed up. It was a great experience.
Went in for a drug test, took over 30 mins just to give me the paperwork to fill out. Another 30 mins to figure out a code was expired. Family next to me was waiting when I got there and when I left, the kid was limping so bad he could barely walk. Dont come here for urgent care
Terrible doctors on staff I went twice in the past 2 weeks for 101+ fever and other symptoms. Their only concern is covid I told them I had covid less than a month ago vist one they sent me home with nothing just telling me to take Tylenol to keep fever down. A week goes by I go back worse symptoms again they are only concerned with covid I did ask for a flu test this time which was negative again im sent home sick because they are convinced its a virus after only wanting to do the covid test. A few days later I go to a different doctor and turns out I had a double ear infection bacterial related and due to the time infected one of my ear drums had actually ruptured. Again terrible doctors here this shouldnt even be classified as anything more than a covid testing center as that is all they will want to do.
I am SO frustrated with this place. I came in with a feminine issue, and needed oral medication to get rid of my infection. Dr. Reitzenstein was rude and condescending and asked me why I didn’t get a refill. How was I supposed to know there was a refill on a one pill package dose? There usually isn’t! When I described my symptoms of my yeast infection he said it didn’t match up with what is ‘normal’ symptoms. I have had 7 yeast infections in the last 4 years due to antibiotics, I’m sorry sir, I think ‘painful’ is definitely a symptom of the itching and burning that’s been going on for WEEKS. And the only reason it’s gotten SO bad is because the staff told me to wait until I was done with the antibiotics to treat the yeast infection. AND that I needed to be seen again to get a new prescription. Why didn’t they tell me it had a refill?! I won’t be coming here again. Thanks for nothing.Just called the pharmacy to refill it and they said they usually don’t refill the medicine I needed so there’s that too.
Went in at 7:58 pm, doors closes at 8:00 pm- yet the front desk staff, MA, and the physician herself went above and beyond to attend my needs. They appeared to have an excellent team work, I was promptly ushered into a clean, tidy room, Dr. Sheuly was compassionate, knowledgeable, and reassuring. I walked out of AFC feeling calm and taken care of.
Arriana,Natalie and Katie were so helpful and attentive my visit was quick. Dr.John is very knowledgeable and made me feel like I made the best choice coming to this ready care clinic. Very pleased with my serviceUpdate 11/21/18After visiting Monday of this week for the same thing that my first visit a year ago brought me in for(as I sit here with a distended rib)Id recend my previous review of this place. Dr. Schuley barely examined me and didnt seem to understand the concept of a Drs note for an injury preventing me from doing my duties at my work. After visiting today and being seen by yet another doctor who didnt seem to fully understand or examine me I was turned away again with my L.O.A form after calling each day between appointments to see what I needed to do to have it correctly filled out by one of their doctors. Ill probably loose my job now thanks to their incompetence. Point being if your job is on the line or you wish to be actually examined this isnt the place to go.
Can check in online before arriving. Short wait time. Friendly helpful staff. Provide urgent care plus family medical services in one location. Clean offices. Convenient location. Free snacks and water or coffee. Prices were reasonable. I had a good experience.
I lacerated the heck out of my hand with a circle saw, drove in and was seen in less than 10 minutes. Every staff member in this facility was a force of calm and distraction. I was struggling to speak when I walked in and was laughing on the way out. The doc (Huizinga - edited to correct previous mistake) was cracking jokes which helped me through the (immense) pain and the woman who took my vitals was very kind to me as Id been crying and was just a wreck. We just moved to the area and Im so thankful to know that theres an urgent care so close thats so thorough and has such great care in mind.I went because it was the closest and it was an emergency, but Id absolutely recommend anyone to go here and Id return if something else came up outside of my regular primary care doctor visits.
This place is very unreliable for Covid19 testing. We had scheduled an appointment a week in advance. We called two days ahead of our appointment to confirm. They said our appointment was confirmed. When we arrived for our appointment they said they didnt have tests available. They said someone should have called us but it didnt happen. This has caused us considerable harm. We needed the tests to go to Chicago on Monday for my daughter to have medical procedures. You would think they would set aside tests for scheduled visits. Or call us so we could schedule somewhere else. They behaved completely unprofessional as far as I am concerned. Now I have to drive to Dearborn tomorrow to get a rapid test because there are none available on short notice. WHICH WE COULD HAVE AVOIDED IF THEY HAD THE COURTESY TO CALL. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE.
As a first-time patient yesterday, I received excellent and sensitive care from the time of my sign-in to a patient, respectful and thorough examination by Dr. Duemler. The clinic is clean, spacious and welcoming, and Dr. Duemler took the time needed to answer all my questions.
It was a very nice modern facility. The wait time was about 20-30 minutes to be taken back into a room. The reason for the low rating is the way Dr. Sheuly treated me. When I told her of my symptoms she asked if there was any chance I could be pregnant. I told her no. She looked at me like I must be lying because I had morning sickness. I told her I’m gay and there was no chance I was pregnant. I’ve never had an issue telling a healthcare professional this before but she made me uncomfortable and it felt like she was judging me. She told me she was going to run a pregnancy test anyways, because it sounded like pregnancy symptoms. Later on she told me I wasn’t pregnant and said I had a stomach flu. I’ve had the stomach flu before and this didn’t feel like that. She kind of brushed that off and told me she send a prescription to meijer for nausea. I show up at Meijer and I stop in to make sure they received the script. They hadn’t yet. I checked in the next day, still nothing. She never even sent the script out for me!I had a much better experience at a Metro Health Urgent Care. I went to a different doctor who diagnosed me with acid reflux and helped the issue I was having almost immediately. Had I listened to this doctor I’d still be in pain. I’ll never go here again.
Dr Byon is amazing...actually seems like he cares..and he is easy to talk to..staff is fast and friendly. Have excellent amenities such as k cups...snacks..waters and capri suns for the kids ...very clean environment, also a tv in every room!! Been here twice now, both times had excellent treatment..five stars here
I literally only waited 5 minutes before I got called in, and was out of there within 25 minutes. That was with getting a steroid shot, then waiting 10 minutes as a precaution. It was very clean, and everyone that worked there were nice. Bonus - they even gave me some free samples of the medication they wanted me to take!
Really great service and Kaylina she works at the front desk and she is literally the best, she is so nice and welcoming :))
Everyone was nice but incompetent. The front desk girl was very frazzled. The doctor was an idiot. I went in because I was positive I had gotten a double ear infection from really bad allergies. The doctor told me my tonsils didnt look swollen, I told him my tonsils were taken out in 1st grade and he didnt say anything. He looked in my ears and said that they looked fine, so I figured he was right and it wasnt an ear infection. When he sent me home with allergy meds and I wasnt getting better, I went back and thats when he told me he had originally thought the puss in my ear was scar tissue. The doctors last name was something like Vandersloot. I was very dissapointed with his knowledge, and that he didnt listen to me.
Super efficient with how quickly they process ins paperwork, barely any wait time, docs are extremely in tune with my complex situation and gave great recommendations based upon the diagnosis they gave me. Highly recommended, and this is my 3rd visit here for different diagnosis. This is my absolute go to doc spot for urgent care! 5 stars!!!!
When did they start turning people away to get seen for an injury?Kept saying it was an injury I tweaked throughout the work week, woke up in pain, called in... Im hurt, not a work place injury. Smh just wear and tear.
Yesterday my son and I were both seen by Dr.Sheuly. I was diagnosed with Strep Throat and my son was diagnosed with a simple cold. This evening my sons symptoms turned worse and I rushed him to the ER to discover he has pneumonia and strep throat as well on top of that. I put trust into this Facility because we both were very Ill with high fevers and I wanted to get it over with at once and not expose or be exposed to more medical facilities. She told me his lungs were perfectly clear. I also asked if I should still nebulizer him and she said not to. If shed taken the time to listen to his mother and read his chart she wouldve seen he is a heart patient and extremely susceptible to pneumonia. She was short but sure of herself. Stay away from this place.
Great urgent care. In and out in under 20 minutes, including filling out new patient information and seeing the doctor. Water and snacks were available, which was nice. Very clean and the staff was extremely friendly!
I had a bad experience there the other day. Reading through the reviews, I find it illuminating that they have no recollection or record of any patients who left negative reviews. Do we add sloppy record-keeping to their list of errors?
This urgent care was amazing! They were fast, kind, and caring. They filled the prescription we needed in house so that we didnt have to make another stop. I would highly recommend AFC!
The doctor I saw was amazing. He got me in and out quickly and was very kind.
Nothing like coming from out of town and being welcomed inside with a cheerful greeting. Inside for 10 mins, saw Dr Sheuly (great Doctor!), got the diagnosis and off to get the script filled 20 mins later! Caring and professional - outstanding Facility, you will be treated like the adult you are.
Amazing experience here!! I’m usually terrible with blood tests but my nurse Maddy (I hope I got that right) made it so easy for me and really helped!! Thank you so much
Anything remotely complicated is clearly beyond this groups scope. I was diagnosed with pruritus a few months back which in turn actually was folliculitis and then developed into a more life threatening staph. The Dr assured me I was fine and to continue taking my allergy medication and lower my stress after I repeatedly asked him if it were a bacterial, fungal , or viral infection cause. Today I called about a different condition In which involves stinging and tingling sensation under my rib cage because my primary care isnt open until mon and he offered me bactroban to stop recurrent staph infections lol nothing to do with this separate issue . I quote Dr Reizenstein - Im sorry theres nothing else we can do, we let you down , I have 6 patients waiting to be seen - I mean if you have anything more serious than the average layman can figure out I wouldnt go here - very nice staff though 😉Eli V.
Visited AFC today. Was able to be seen by Dr Byon who diagnosed a sinus infection and prescribed antibiotics. His assistant sent prescription to my pharmacy. I found the entire staff friendly, efficient and professional. Very happy that I could get medical attention so quickly because I am visiting from the east side of the state. Thank you AFC.
This place is very cleanly and smelled of pinesol. Everyone was friendly and I felt comfortable. I was given a prescription and they followed up with me the next day. There is a place for kids in the waiting room, and there are snacks and beverages. There was even a television in the examination room.
Just called their office to see if they accept my insurance. The lady was replying I dont believe if your insurance is accepted or not. Then I asked her to check and see if my insurance is accepted or not. She replied I cannot check. I asked can I talk to your supervisor. She replied I dont have a supervisor here. Then I asked when will the supervisor available . She replied may be tomorrow . I dont know is this the way an Urgent care should respond to people. I feel its Nasty. I called this place seeing the 4.8 stars. May be the lady who talked to me may be Nasty. But I recommend to have a control over the employees who talk to the public. If you show these types of resistance and negative mentality towards people who comes in , you will loose patients one by one and the rating will go to Zero over a short period of time. Good luck!
Receptionist who answers the phone has no social skills whatsoever. I asked politely how much an office visit would cost, and she gave me a long, drawn out pause before sighing with disgust at having toanswer my question. Then snotty abrupt answers when I asked about insurance. Um...if you hate your job that much, please go somewhere else.
0 stars should be an option. HORRIBLE place! I feel bad for anyone who comes here. Terrible communication between the medical assistants and the patients. Blonde girl KATIE administered a TB shot to my mom and said I think its good or I would re-do it while she trained new girl Arriana. What health care professional would ever even think of saying something like that? That left my mom to feel concerned and uncertain of what they just did. They stated they would call in about 30 mins to tell us of an X-ray result and never did. Do you know what that does to a patient all night worrying? The next day when we called to follow up, ARRIANA rudely stated that they were too busy to call and when my mom asked her what the results were of the X-ray she told her she couldnt tell her that over the phone. Yet, I called and spoke to KATIE and she told me the results over the phone. Inconsistent protocol! Also, great job making a patient feel unimportant! Next time we were in, I stepped out of the patient room to ask a question and KATIE was eating Doritos in one hand and had a dollar bill in the other hand right between the patient rooms and the front desk area as she was talking to the front desk girl with the dark brown/black hair. How sanitary and unprofessional! I called and left a voicemail for the clinical manager to call me back, male voicemail, never called me. Called the clinic again to speak to a clinic manager and KATIE picked up the phone. This is horrible. I will research to find someone above these medical assistants to talk to!
Stephanie and Mandy were super friendly and helpful from the moment I called to the moment I checked out. Dr. Scheuly was a dream and she made me feel comfortable when treating me. Super grateful!
Long wait while staff ate pizza. Doctor only prescribed two pills out of the six pill Zpack for a sinus and ear infection. I was charged $300, would have been better off waiting until Monday to see my normal doctor. Not impressed at all, I think they spent too much money on the building and not enough money getting the correct employees in there.
Went in after having persisting symptoms of infection. First tests came back inconclusive so I was sent home and had to wait for more results, which take a couple days anyways. My whole visit was 30 mins, sign in, waiting and walking out the door.Upon getting worse a couple days later I called (more than once), in which they treated me with respect and extreme patients. After the results came in the doctor got on the phone with me, read my results and prescribed me an atibiotic over the phone.Thank you, I am entirely tired of being sick:(Highly reccomend this facility!
Really no hope paid 120 outta pocket just to be sent back home in more pain came here for an ear infection that I know for a fact is very bad. The doctor I had said he wish he had an excuse For it also wasn’t sure which antibiotic to use so he just prescribed the first one he thought about lost my money just to have to go to the hospital tomorrow to get this corrected because the pain is just to intense.
Nice staff. However if you have no insurance be ready to pay $115.00 upfront. They require you to pay that before you see the doctor. They do not bill you. I went in because I could barely speak my tonsils were so swallon with a high fever. I paid $115.00 for 5 minutes of the doctors time basically telling there was nothing they could do and I need to ride it out. I paid cause I was despret and in a lot of pain. I had to ask for some meds if not the doctor wouldnt have prescribed me any. I felt like I waisted my time and money!
Wonderful service inside and out. From the front desk, nurses, doctor, everything was perfect! Quick too!
Went in to get my foot checked out to see if i fractured or sprained it. They did xrays and that was done quickly. Waited for an hour for the doctor to come back in and say he wasnt sure what was wrong with it but that someone else would be coming back later with a boot for me. I asked the nurse if she knew anything about the requirements for wearing it. She said she had no idea and the doctor just told her to give me the boot. Overall no one that i spoke to seemed to have any idea what they were doing.
Came to this urgent care today, was in and out in no time. Staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. They explained everything to me that I needed to know. Hands down best Urgent Care experience Ive ever had.
You should not even get a one star. I call to ask about paperwork sent over at 2pm. The lady I talked with was very rude and hung up on me when I asked for a supervisor. I do hope your calls are recorded because she does not deserve to work with the public with no Patience to help anyone
I took my yearly physical exam here. Very good service throughout the whole processes. I was out within an hour. Doctor was very cordial, taking enough time for asking question. Overall very good service and will recommend to everyone.Thank you!
I love the AFC! Ive been 3 times and they took great care of me every time. They impressed me so much Im making Dr. Sheuly my new primary doctor!
Everything was excellent from the time we arrived till the time we left 😊 wonderful staff and facility.
I want a doctor who speaks normal English, not surfer. Dude! Also, I have three children. Trust me I have seen it all. Please dont talk down to me or chastise my barely 2 year old son for not covering up what was probably his 10,000th cough of the day. He is 2 and clearly exhausted. I only went here as my pediatricians office was closed early for the holiday and had to jump through this hoop to get my son antibiotics...Last, after specifying both in writing and verbally where I wanted the antibiotics filled, the prescription went to a pharmacy in Byron Center...fortunately the pharmacy I went to was able to correct their error.
I was very impressed with how friendly and professional the staff was.The facility was clean and we were in and out in a short amount of time.
DO NOT GO HERE FOR COVID TESTING. I was told 3-4 days for results and it has now been 12 days and haven’t heard anything. It is absolutely pointless to get tested here as you won’t know your results in time to do anything about it. Other places are getting results back in 24 hours. Highly recommend other options. If I could rate 0 stars I would.
I had very good experience was so very please with the staff and the help I received I go if need thanks yall so very AFC Urgent Care may God continue to bless yall to help His people.
Awful. Nurses are rude and talk about all the patients in front of all the other patients. What happened to HIPPA privacy laws?? Two hour wait to be seen, 5 minutes with doctor and another half hour for checkout papers. I do not recommend. A complete waste of time!T hey need to be shut down!!
