Just wanted to take a moment to say that the Hoffman Estates location staff is always so positive and uplifting. This is not the closest office to my home, but the Ultrasound Tech Vita is fabulous, which is why I choose to come here. She takes her time, remembers me from visit to visit, and truly cares about what she does. It’s worth the extra time in the car for the positive monitoring experience at this location.
I had to get multiple labs every couple of days and appointments near my home were not available. I drove all the way to downers Grove, i was stressed and pressed for time.& The ultrasound tech named Vita was a breath of fresh air! She moved quickly, allowed me to change in the room instead of the bathroom & was very pleasant! She made a bad day turn into a good one!
My husband and I had our first daughter through IUI with the help of FCI, so we have been to many FCI locations. Hoffman Estates is my favorite location. We are on our journey to have a second and it’s been very long (over a year now doing fertility treatments) and tiring but the wonderful people at FCI Hoffman Estates make it so much more bearable. Everyone at the front desk is so kind and welcoming. I have called multiple times freaking out to see if I could get a same day appointment and they always try to squeeze me in or find an appointment at another location. They remember you and even your voice on the phone. It might not seem like a big deal but it means a lot especially because TTC can be a very lonely time. Vita is amazing - I always hope that I have Vita as my ultrasound tech. She’s so knowledgeable and always knows how to make you feel comfortable and welcome. Riddhi is the best phlebotomist - she is very good at what she does. I never feel pain and she gets the vein every time. I am so thankful for everyone at this office. They are an amazing bunch.
Shout out to Vita with Hoffman estates FCI. I worked with her from my first appointment to today’s 8 week ultrasound. Shes been so kind and genuinely caring every time I see her.She and the rest of the staff are also VERY queer and LGBTQ informed and friendly. My wife and I never felt othered by at staff but celebrated like any couple.
Everyone is so nice at FCI in Hoffman Estates. Receptionists make you feel welcome. Phlebotomist draws blood that doesn’t hurt. Ultrasounds tech Vita is so sweet. She lets you know what she is doing and definitely lets you know updates. Nurse Mikayla is so sweet. Any questions you have she gets back to you in a timely manner. Overall, I highly recommend FCI in Hoffman Estates.
So happy with FCI in Hoffman Estates! The front desk is always so friendly & helpful. Also, the best ultrasound tech I’ve ever had through my fertility journey is Vita! I can’t say enough positive things about her. She is so knowledgeable in what she does & has the best bedside manner - she’s simply the best!
My wife and I have been trying to conceive for nearly seven years, and have unfortunately had to change fertility doctors and clinics several times. From the day we set foot in our Hoffman Estates office at Fertility Centers of Illinois (FCI), we met a team of caring, kind and empathetic individuals who took the time to learn who we are and what we’ve been through. Today, we received some very promising news for the first time, and the team at FCI was so happy to share in our achievements. We are grateful for the care we’ve received, and what the team at FCI was able to help us achieve through planning, procedures and patience in a few short months.A special thank you to Vita from the ultrasound team who was incredibly kind, supportive and caring. To Mikayla, our nurse who has been our personal cheerleader and overall phenomenal source of support, and Riddhi who was always kind, comforting and accommodating through several tests/bloodwork.Nora and the front desk staff who were and continue to be extremely patient with our many, many, many questions and very accommodating with scheduling where possible.Last but not least, Dr. Nani has been extremely professional, clear and kind through this entire process.Nobody wishes to have to go through fertility treatments, but when you do find that you need to, this is the team you want by your side every step of the way.
Vita did my ultrasound and she did such a great job! Her technique is amazing because it is usually really uncomfortable but today I barely felt anything. She was very nice and reassuring! I hope to see her again!
The fertility journey is hard enough, but nurse Kellie has been with us each step of the way. She makes it easy to get questions answered, explains everything thoroughly, and truly cares about us as humans (not just patients). Highly recommend working with Kellie at FCI for your fertility journey!
Going through infertility challenges is one of the hardest things a person can go through but I’m so grateful for the team at Fertility Centers of IL. Especially, my ultrasound lady, Vita! She has truly been my lucky charm through this process. She always has a smile on her face and is the kindest and most thoughtful person ever!
I’m so happy that Vita was my ultrasound tech for almost every appointment except for one! It made the experience more personal and comfortable! She’s so sweet and kind! I generally felt her excitement for me with every appointment!
I will forever be grateful to the team at FCI for guiding my husband and I through our journey with infertility. This was the second practice I received treatment from and felt that they really listened to my situation and explored every avenue to improve our chances at getting pregnant. We’re now a happy family of four thanks to FCI helping us conceive our two daughters (one is now 2 years and the other 6 months). I felt so cared for by my doctors, nurses, technicians, and receptionists. Everyone was kind and supportive.
Everyone at this facility is very polite and friendly from the front office to the rest of the staff in the back. Violet my ultrasound tech was very thorough in her explanation of what to expect with my first ultrasound. The phlebotomist who drew my blood was also wonderful, they are very good at what they do!
Vita has been amazing during my ultrasound appointments and has been very helpful explaining the process along the way. I’ve become a frequent flyer and even though the process is daunting, I’ve always been welcomed with a smile and kindness.
After years of struggling, praying and hoping for a special blessing I found FCI. From my first appointment till my last I felt welcomed and more importantly SEEN. I have PCOS and I was diagnosed when I was 16 so I knew I would have a life long battle ahead of me. When I found the love of my life I dreamed of having a part of him and myself in this life together but that life long battle stood in our way. After years of disappointment and Drs who dismissed me I found FCI and Dr Burks who quickly helped us find a plan and on our first IUI became pregnant!! I now sit here looking at my almost 3 month old wondering how we got so lucky!! Im so thankful for Dr Burks and All of the staff at FCI for the support, guidance and success in fulfilling our dreams ❤️ When time comes for number 2 we will absolutely be coming back to FCI and I will continue to recommend them to anyone I know who has to walk the difficult path of infertility.
This facility is the best! Starting off by friendly greeting with the receptionists and theyre professional answering phone calls to make appointments. They got me in right away when there was a cancellation and when they were fully booked that day. The nurse Kristen is the best shes on top of it all the time with phone calls and the portal messages. The phlebotomist shes amazing at what she does. Very gentle and always tells you what shes about to do before she is drawing the blood. The Ultrasound ladies do such great work to make me feel comfortable in the room. And last Dr. Nani shes so kind and professional and cares a lot for her patients.
Vita treats me like family everytime I get my baseline done. It’s a nerve racking journey and having the comfort of someone with her experience is very reassuring. She makes sure to give me the breakdown of what is happening today and going forward. Her approach and demeanor put me at ease through this uncertainty. Thanks for being great!
I’ve had a great experience at FC Hoffman. Everyone is very nice, understanding, and professional. I’ve never been a fan of giving blood (who is right!?!), however, Riddni is great. She makes you feel comfortable and it’s practically painless and I never have any bruising.Overall, a great facility.
FCI Hoffman Estates is the most wonderful, caring place. This is such a stressful, scary experience and coming in here every other day / daily became somewhat of a comfort, seeing familiar, kind, CARING faces. It is very low stress and everyone is excellent at their job. While our doctor is in the Vernon Hills location, we did all of our other bloodwork / ultrasound and testing here. A special shout out to Riddhi; I couldn’t have done this process without you. I came in my first day extremely scared of needles and a fainter. I left my last day being calm and so unafraid of bloodwork. In my 32 years of life that has never happened. She goes above and beyond to make sure her patients are calm and feel safe. She treats people with so much kindness and care. Plus she’s so good at her job you don’t hardly feel a thing. I can’t say enough about the staff here from the front desk to ultrasound techs, everyone is incredible. Thank you for making this extremely difficult process as painless as it could possibly be. We are so grateful.
Every time I visit, everyone is so friendly and personable. Vita is a wonderful ultrasound tech and always answers any questions I have. I really enjoy going here and the staff only make my visits better.
The staff at Hoffman Estates are extremely kind, prompt and efficient. They know me by name and I’ve never had to wait more than a few minutes. The location is easy access from the Rockford area too.
Dr. Rodgers and her team had me the whole way just like she said! She told me she would help me get my baby and thanks to her I’m holding him in my arms while he sleeps! They are truly the best and I’m eternally grateful. We love our FCI family and sing your praises to all. IVF proud
Vita was so kinda and happy at my early morning ultrasound. She is so smiley and sweet. She makes a hard situation a little easier!
Just because they are the biggest doesn’t mean they are the best. I had a virtual consultation with Dr Nani after 3 medicated cycles with my OBGYN. Dr Nani said I was good to start the cycles and we would “just pick up where my obgyn left off” I called on day 1 of my next period as directed, had my ultrasound and blood work (which I wasn’t told I would need) then didn’t meet with a doctor or a nurse I was told someone would call me. They didn’t call.I had previously uploaded all of my documents then they sent aggressive messages saying if I didn’t have a recent Pap smear I wouldn’t be able to continue with medicated cycles, I had uploaded it and sent it to them 3 times. The nurse told me I wouldn’t be able to do medicated cycles that month as there was too much that needed to be done first when I told her what Dr Nani had said she told me the doctor doesn’t know what needs to be done! Unbelievable.I am now with a different fertility agency and am treated so much better. My advice is go somewhere else.
I see Dr. Hobeika, but have come to hoffman states facility for blood work & ultrasounds. Everyone at FCI has been extremely nice and supportive throughout this process Dr. H is very knowledgeable and created a plan for my husband & I. He always answered the many questions for us. Also wanted to recognize Riddhi; who is the Phlebotomist at hoffman location. As someone who was terrified of needles and blood work. Seeing her every other day made my day. I never felt anything. She was truly the best.
This office is great. While this isnt always a fun process, seeing the ladies here makes it so much better. Especially nurse caitlin, Riddhi in bloodwork, nora at the front desk & V in ultrasound. Thank you ladies so much for everything that you do!
Thank you so much to everyone at FCI hoffmann estates location! Thank you to Vita, Nora, and alyssa for always showing me kindness! Im graduating the clinic today and its bittersweet because ill miss you all 🩷 thank you again!!!!
First time here and although it was a drive, everyone in the office was super nice. Vita my ultrasound tech was so kind, friendly, and even updated me exactly on my numbers.
Update from my prior review:So I previously wrote a negative review here and was informed recently that my doctor refuses to treat me anymore because in that review I said I had 0 trust in her due to the lack of communication from her nurse and financial person. That is the only thing I said about her and the rest of my review was regarding my communication issues with the nurse and the financial team. So that is what happens here if you publicly express your concerns after directing them to the clinic to no avail.A nurse supervisor finally called me on 12/13/23, 3 weeks after my review (which I wrote several weeks after I started expressing continued frustrations.) I thought our conversation was going well. We figured out I never received the document new patients are supposed to get regarding how to get in touch with staff, which would have been super helpful (and probably would have avoided this entire situation). She said she would send it to me. Great. I deleted that review before the call even ended. I was super appreciative and felt like it was a step in the right direction. She didn’t know I already deleted my review and then started saying that if I want to repair the relationship and continue my care here the first step would be to delete that Google review. That immediately put a pit in my stomach and almost sounded threatening. She also said things like “when you write those bad reviews on social media really makes us look bad.” EXCUSE ME? NO. Your bad patient care is what makes you look bad. So unprofessional and honestly just disgusting to blame me for the frustrations they caused that led to my review in the first place. She also waited until the end of the call to drop the bomb that my doctor would no longer treat me due to my negative review. (So I’m expected to repair the relationship by removing my review while the doctor refuses to treat me? That’s totally one-sided, so my review is back. And frankly I’m just realizing them putting the onus on me, their patient, to repair the negative relationship they ultimately caused is completely ridiculous).I had already told them I was scheduled with a new doctor. They were well aware. So I’m not sure why she intentionally made me uncomfortable by telling me that doctor would no longer treat me. It’s like you’re trying to quit when I already fired you…Obviously, I don’t care if she won’t see me. I wasn’t going to see her anymore anyway, and it originally had nothing to do with the actual doctor. I only saw her twice. She was fine, lovely to talk to even. I didn’t have much to judge her on besides the communication I had with her staff, which was poor and that is what I expressed, and why I was moving to a new doctor to begin with. But now I will say that the doctor is extremely unprofessional and I would never recommend anyone see her. Instead of contacting me regarding my review right away to actually try to salvage the relationship they waited weeks and retaliated against me (before trying to have any conversation with me) for leaving a negative review after I was already moving onto another doctor. What’s ironic is, had the second part of the conversation not happened, I would have left my review deleted or put an update with a positive spin on it and happily moved on to let bygones be bygones with a lot less negative things to say.I am moving clinics because apparently even though this doctor refuses to treat me now, she may still have to do my retrieval or transfer and I don’t think I have the option to refuse that unless I want to cancel my cycles, which obviously isn’t an option.I’m not using names in this review, nor did I in my initial review. This is because I am not and was never out for blood. I wanted someone to take my concerns seriously and when I finally got a call and was excited that we were on the right track they ended it by retaliating against me for my review. That is not okay. I did nothing wrong, and I think people have the right to know what is going on here so they can make an informed decision on their care.
I appreciate how responsive and kind the Hoffman receptionists are. My doctor is not out of this location but this location is the closest to my house so I do all of my lab work/ultrasounds here and the team here is on-time and efficient and it has been much appreciated since no one really wants to be at a fertility clinic so it makes it the best experience it can possibly be!
Do not waste your time or money with FCI!!! They do not care about you and you’re treated like just another number. My initial consult with the doctor (virtual) wasn’t even 10 minutes and she rushed me off the call - I then received a $200 plus bill for the consult. They had me come in for a bunch of unnecessary labs - I had just transferred from a different fertility location and had all of the same testing done previously. I have no doubt this was done so they could rack up my bill. The communication between the doctor, nurses and front desk reception is non-existent. I was apparently supposed to start an IVF cycle and order the medication (which no one ever informed me of). I called with a billing question and spoke with someone in accounting who was the first to tell me that, based on my chart I should’ve already ordered the medicine to start a cycle the following week. Understandably so, I was upset because that meant I had to wait another month to start the process because the medication wouldn’t come in time. After my conversation with the accounting rep, I found a new fertility location. As someone who struggled with infertility for 2+ years, please do not waste your time, energy and emotional well-being on this joke of a clinic.
I have a very busy life and the staff here are empathetic and care. I genuinely feel like they are trying to help me, from the front desk, to ultrasound, to blood draws. My doctor and nurse aren’t based here but it’s my closest location for checkups so I have interacted with them often. I am thankful for their empathy.
Dr Nani is very knowledgeable and direct. She is passionate about her job and wants to hear your needs. Dr Nani’s nurse, Jen also stands out. Her care and concern for the patients is unmatched. It took me a while (about a year) and many procedures to finally have a healthy pregnancy. Hoffman office was there with me the entire time.
Pros: Office/lab/US staff very professional and polite. We had a live birth in the endCons: Communication with nursing was poor. Too many patients being seen for the number of appointments available. I overheard the receptionist calling people at 6:30 am and telling them their appointment for that morning could not be honored because they were too busy and to call an office hours away instead. Good luck getting into your own office for monitoring let alone getting to pick a time. The doctor referred me to another doctor for a procedure and then refused to speak to him directly and instead I had to try to be a go between and convey the necessary information despite the fact I’m not a fertility specialist and couldn’t answer all of his questions about my case. Good success rates but be prepared to advocate for yourself
Nora has been a joy to me. She has been a bright smile in much darkness for meShe makes coming here worth it.
We loved Dr. Nani and everyone on staff here! I wont lie, shes very to the point and not real chit-chatty, and some people may think that doesnt feel warm & caring. Personally, I love that about her. She doesnt coddle you or talk down to you - she hears your concern and then gets to the point and tells you exactly what she recommends and what to expect. We were there to get a problem solved, and Dr. Nani is a problem solver. And when you need to chit-chat, the nurses & techs & office staff are all happy to spend that time with you. Cant recommend Dr. Nani and the others enough. Thank you all for successful treatment!! 21 weeks with my twins, still going strong!
Let me start by saying I am writing this being 12 weeks pregnant so I am very pleased with our results at FCI.Pros: Dr. Nani was excellent. She was so positive during the process and continued to be encouraging that we would have a successful pregnancy. She continues to encourage us that we may get pregnant on our own since we have unexplained infertility. I cant honestly not say enough about Kristin our nurse. She was awesome and so encouraging!! She is the reason we stayed with this clinic when we ran into some billing issues. She understood my need to know exactly what the process would entail before we started our first cycle. She called back quickly when I left messages and was great about calling quickly with blood test results and encouraging me with the results. The receptionist in the office were great and always so kind when we were there or on the phone. They were so great in scheduling appointments that accommodated our schedule. Now the cons: The billing is beyond awful. Words can barely describe how awful it truly was especially on top of the tremendous amount of stress that a couple is under struggling with infertility. I cant tell you how many tears were shed over the billing process. It was so bad we considered leaving the clinic prior to starting our first cycle there after our diagnostic testing was done. We only have diagnostic coverage which meant very little was covered (which I now know after going through the process). I feel we were misled by the office that certain things would be covered when they were not and the billing department is horrible. My husband and I spoke with Kim and Yolanda in billing more than once with no help from either of them. It got so bad I had to speak with the director of billing Sue, who initially seemed like she would be helpful but in the end was not. The office manager at Hoffman-Colleen was a complete nightmare to deal with and was so rude and condescending on the phone when I spoke with her about a self pay discount on the office visits/items that werent covered by insurance or were denied. She spoke to me like i was a child which really bothered me given I work in healthcare as a nurse practitioner and am VERY familiar with the billing process and how it works.FYI: There policy is you only get a self pay discount on the items that they know your insurance will not cover and its only 5% if you pay the same day of service. if an insurance claim is denied, they will offer you no discount at all and will not help you dispute it with your insurance company. We didnt even know we had denied claims until I called the billing department to ask about our first bill and then she told me our claims were denied. Otherwise we would have had no idea.Given all of that, I would recommend the clinic based on the front line staff but know that you will have issues with billing and will receive no help from the billing department or the clinic manager. Be prepared to speak with your insurance company frequently and understand your coverage prior to even getting started down the fertility path.
Dr. Jacobs and Nurse Mary have been absolutely exceptional! To us, they are like guardian angels, even though we havent seen God. Dr. Jacobss explanations, plans, and ideas are truly excellent. We are at a loss for words on how to express our gratitude towards them. If anyone is in search of the best fertility doctor and nurse in Illinois, we wholeheartedly recommend FCI and Dr. Jacobs. Mary consistently provided prompt and knowledgeable responses to all of our questions, even going above and beyond to answer them outside of business hours. Thank you so much, Mary! The remarkable thing about Dr. Jacobs is his honesty and gentle approach with patients. Despite being just 26 years old and having experienced two miscarriages, we sought out his expertise to understand any underlying issues with both our bodies. After conducting various necessary tests, they informed us that there were no issues and that we were both healthy. So why the miscarriages, we wondered? Dr. Jacobs explained that sometimes there are no clear reasons to explain such occurrences. However, he assured us that everything would be fine, urging us to maintain hope and follow his plan. When we asked about the possibility of needing to undergo IVF, Dr. Jacobs responded with a resounding No, not now. He wanted to try alternative methods first since we were both healthy and no issues were detected. So we faithfully followed his guidance, including taking Follistims and Ovidrel at the appropriate times during our cycles. It took a couple of months, but guess what? I am now 9 weeks pregnant! FCI has been nothing short of a miracle for us.To all the ladies and gentlemen out there seeking fertility solutions, please visit Dr. Jacobs and diligently follow his instructions. Your dreams may one day come true. I wish each and every one of you the best of luck in your future endeavors to overcome fertility challenges. Trust me, it works!
The Good:Why we chose this location and Dr. Nani? We recently moved and a few friends recommended this location as it helped them when they were having problems with conceiving. This is not the only fertility center that we have visited so we had a better understanding of what we like. The staff within this office is great in my opinion. The nurse for Dr. Nani is awesome and so down to earth. Always trying to help in any way possible. Dr Nani is compassionate and great to talk to however typically short conversations unlike with the nurses. This is pretty standard with the other facilities as I personally think Nurses don’t get enough credit. The receptionist is great as well as she is always trying to help us out and bringing up concerns whether it be financial or settings up appointments. The Great:Dr Nani and the Nurse really work hard to help out of pocket patients. I won’t go into details but I am extremely grateful for the help and support that was provided to us.The Bad:Scheduling appointments is a cluster in my opinion. Its 2019 and there is no automated system or online system to setup appointments. You cannot schedule appointments from your home FCI office to another FCI office without calling them. Why is this important? When you are going through the process its time sensitive. A nurse can tell you today at 6pm on a Friday that you need to go into the Chicago office because we are closed on Saturday and also Monday you need to schedule an appointment for your home office. You think ok cool no biggie, you call the number to Chicago and guess what they are closed already. How are you supposed to schedule this? But wait, how are you supposed to schedule the Monday appointment as well. You have spent hundreds if not thousands of dollars already. You are not going to miss your chance because the system is broken for scheduling. Somehow the nurse checked her email and tells you to just schedule the appointment online and leave voicemails because the offices do check often. When you schedule online it’s not what you would think, you have to put in notes and there is not active time slot system for appointments. Voicemail is literally an answering service which is completely worthless as they don’t have access to scheduling anything. Freaked out yet? Money down the toilet in your mind as the minutes go by…..PANIC kicks in.The outcome was us driving to the location at 6am with the plan to tell the Chicago location that we need this done because well its time sensitive and to take us on the spot. This is a fertility business and should be the most common sense concept. While driving we received a call that we can show up at 9am which we were already on our way so we lucked out. Monday the other office called while I was at work stating that I can come in within the hour. Not the most convenient process but work is ok with me leaving for a random appointment. Not everyone has that ability unfortunately. For the guys visiting the chicago location: internet service does not work in the fun room but there is material both digital and physical to view. The Ugly:Paying out of pocket aka as the office calls it diagnostic is the biggest “CLUSTER” I have ever gone through. There are no upfront bills at the time of the visit for diagnostic patients. The bills are really estimates.Honestly I still don’t understand it. Honestly my wife has gone through more stress with trying to understand the bills. The front desk when you pay is completely detached from the actual billing department. Another system that is broken at FCI where I call it Hidden Fees. Perfect example: you visit a mechanic $60 which you pay for an oil change. Next visit you have an outstanding bill. MIND BOGGLING! I will say that the billing department was not helpful at all until management was requested. If you pay every single visit you should not expect a $1000 bill weeks later. Mind blown! Conclusion: Wont go for our 4th procedure due to stress/billing. So mad because staff is great.
The worst office ever. Not worth even one star. Patient communication is horrible. They will schedule a procedure and will not tell you that it wont be performed by your doctor. They will not ask you if you are comfortable seeing male doctor (that youve never seen before) for an invasive procedure. Hoffman estates office doesnt offer certain services and will send you to their Glenview location. They will not tell you that comprehensive genetic blood test actually costs over $2600 and you will need to spend time making phone calls to the lab to find out if your insurance covers it (most insurances dont) and participate in 100 question survey to get a discount. Nobody seems to know what they are doing. They answer your questions as if they know what they are talking about, but in the end it winds up being lies.Try to get your medical records! Its a complete joke! They will not respond to your messages or inquiries.I have never been more disappointed.
I would give them 0 stars if I could, Dr. Nani is nothing but a thief. She charged me an insane amount of money for a procedure that didnt work. We went through an IUI through her and in the office received zero support or instruction. We went down the street to another infertility doctor and they were so thorough and walked us step by step and have more medicine that you need to do with the IUI that Nani mentioned nothing about and which is why the IUI with her was unsuccessful. Be careful and make sure to do your research!
It felt like we were just a number at this place, receptionists were great at this location, however we had no success with 3 different doctors whom we worked with at FCI, none of them ever really took the time to understand our case and follow up on everything.
We tried for almost one year there. You have hope and everyone encourages your hope but in reality we felt like it is just a way to make money off people who are trying to have a baby.
Dr Nani and her staff are simply the best!!!
