Busy. Excellent care. Friendly staff. Fluid teamwork. Already feeling better. They just happened to be slammed when I arrived in the afternoon, said they didn’t have any patients in the morning. It took a while but the nurse was very nice and understanding. The provider was friendly and down to earth. Really felt like they wanted to help each patient with quality care. After the shot in office and the meds prescribed I’m already feeling better the second day.
My experience was good overall. The wait time wasn’t terrible for an urgent care, maybe 1 hour and a half. The doctor that I saw was very nice and personable. If she was a primary care doctor, I would definitely consider becoming a patient of hers. I didn’t necessarily receive a diagnosis, but they did do quite a few tests and an X-Ray to rule out other things. I appreciate that the doctor was thorough and really tried to determine what was causing my symptoms.
I arrived at 8AM because I had not been feeling well for about a week. I was out of medications for Diabetes and Hypertension. Not only did they fill them, but they treated me like any great primary doctor would. I was very impressed with the attention to detail and for being an Urgent Care, and the staff is 10 STARS! They actually cared. Did blood work and everything! I highly recommend this place. Thank you AFC for taking such great care of me. Youre the best! God bless yall.
Worst experience doctor wise! I’m not sure what’s changed between now and around April, I went here in April for unrelated issues and had a great experience, but it’s not for the better. I unfortunately had to go here twice within the span of three days due to nothing else being open. Everyone except the registration staff and the tech that takes your vitals were extremely rude. My first visit the nurse practitioner had an attitude with me multiple times throughout my visit and when I attempted to express concern it was shot down with a “well you’ll have to go to the ER if you’d like anything further”. The second visit I had to wait 20-25 minutes thinking it was taking the testing that long, when in reality no one had begun the testing. Once the testing was finally completed the nurse practitioner once again had an attitude multiple times, especially when she made the comment “I cannot understand you if you’re going to act like that” speaking to me as if I were a child when I was crying through pain expressing what was wrong. During that time, I was sure to make my voice steady so I was able to be understood. The last time I was required to go back was to receive my test results, something I assumed I would receive over the phone because other doctors offices do it this way, and I had spoken to another member of staff days prior stating that they would inform me over the phone. When I went in to receive my test results, the tech, one of the same ones I had in my visits prior, got an extreme attitude again with me and spoke down to me as if I were less than her for asking for an explanation on the results due to there being very little information on the paper. All in all, I would never come here because the entire staff, with the exception of a few, are very dismissive and rude. They don’t take your concerns seriously and just want to make money off of you.
I did a telemedicine appointment and it was easy. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The doctor added refills to my prescription which is awesome and a nice surprise when I picked up my prescription from the pharmacy. I also like that the staff calls to check on you after your appointment.
Only one person in front of me to go back. I got back to a room quickly once they checked my vitals. The doctor/nurse practitioner came in not long after abs talked to me then sent in a nurse to do tests. In about 20 minutes she was back with a diagnoses. They were very professional and efficient.
Everyone was very nice, and the wait was not bad, given I showed up right at open, but I know that my mother in law went to a different establishment of yours, with the same illness, and she received a steroid shot. I was not offered the steroid shot. I also asked for a particular medicine to help with the symptoms of the illness I am dealing, which she told me she would do but, but she prescribed me something different that conflicts with my current prescriptions, which is why I asked for the particular medicine that I did. I know they may have people that come in trying to get particular medicines for the wrong reasons, but it should have been pretty obvious that this was not the case, especially if they had looked at my current prescriptions.
Every staff member I met was kind, quick, and compassionate in every way. I was well taken care of & had a great experience. Special shout out to Ms. Courtney Taylor for taking such good care of me from intake to testing, what a pro.
Efficient. Kind and helpful. Open till 2pm during holidays. Thankful I got my “ear infection” taken care of - my ear was clear but the fluid buildup in the Etruscan tubes is painful .
When I came in it wasn’t too busy, but the front desk people were really nice!! When I got brought back the lady that helped me was very thorough with what she was doing and everything. When she brought me back to my room i didn’t have to wait too long to see the doctor. The doctor was very nice! I really appreciated that everyone walked me through what they were gonna do especially since I have anxiety around being in medical facilities.
Very clean. Very conscientious. Personable DNP, office staff, and med tech. Usually busy, so plan on waiting a little while, especially since DNP Berry doesnt rush folks in and out the door.
Went in for a bad sinus infection. The staff was AMAZING...From the front desk staff, the PA Daniel Neikirk, and the very nice/funny NP Daphne Berry. We always have a great experience. I went there on my lunch. Not a long wait and I feel better already. I highly recommend!!
Came in for a bug bite that looked infected. Check-in was easy. Staff was pleasant and efficient. PA’s manner gave me confidence. Though this was a simple diagnosis and prescription, I am convinced this crew can handle the more complex cases, also.
Check in was easy, staff was courteous & quick to get my vitals & into a room. I did not have to wait long to be seen, diagnosed & treated (Daphne Berry was super nice!) Very grateful to find such an amazing office open on the weekend. Will definitely go back for any medical needs!
I visited half hour before closing time, yet all went smooth and very well. Staff is excellent, including receptionist, med tech, and NP. I was seen quickly, diagnosed, and had Rx medication for my condition sent immediately to my pharmacy. This was a perfect example of AFC out-performing my regular family doctor. Im glad I went.
My doctor was closed today and my sister recommended this place as she just had a great experience here. I loved being able to hold my spot and complete all my paperwork online. After checking in I was called back within minutes. Seen, and out the door fast with a positive experience! The place was clean and staff was friendly.
Not the place to be seen if in car accidents. They do no physical exam refer you to Emergency Room and still bill insurance for a physical exam that never happened. Nurse practitioner ask a few questions and stated due to her past work in E R she did not feel comfortable treating me because theycan only X ray and I would possibly need CT scan. Medical records I obtained suggest she did a physical exam but she never examined me. I sat in a chair in the corner while she leaned on the exam table. No computer pen paper to take notes. Records I obtained from there office says she did a physical exam and noted things that were normal and abnormal but that’s impossible because I was never touched. I have no problem paying for service rendered or my insurance for that matter but I do take issue with this. If you request to speak to management or leave message with a complaint don’t expect a return call or respond 11 days is still waiting . One star review because 0 is not a option
Absolutely worst “doctor” I’ve ever been to. We came in with a serious situation and the doctor barely addressed it and just wanted to throw antibiotics at the situation. She argued with me when I tried to bring up concerns that were scaring me and was completely rude and didn’t even listen. I’ve never been so mistreated by a medical professional. She didn’t even introduce herself when she came in. They were unsanitary with their cotton swabs when cleaning some blood and couldn’t even tell that the patient was in pain, just saying “oh I thought you were breathing.” These people have no business practicing medicine. These “doctors” have no bedside manner or concern for patients. Go somewhere else for your own good.
This is my 1st experience with American Family Care and I am so happy I made the choice. The nurse and doctor that helped me today were awesome! I was in extreme pain walking in and couldn’t move my neck to one side. After X-rays and thoroughly listening to me a couple injections later, I was able to walk out being able to move my neck more than I was able to going in. The pains in my head had eased up dramatically as I was walking out the door. If I could give more stars I would! So grateful for the service I received!!
The staff was friendly and through with me. The NP Amy Beck was incredible with my exam and listening to my symptoms and concerns. She tailored a plan to get me healthy again. I would see her again any time.
Loved the option of registering and checking in digitally. They still have the option to complete the registration on paper if that is preferred. The receptionist was friendly and professional.Wait time was reasonable and both the medical professional who checked my vitals and the Dr. were great. I felt the care I was given was thorough and expertly handled. I did not feel rushed, and I felt like whole team interacted with each other well, which to me is a sign of having the right people on the job.I would recommend to anyone needing medical attention quickly who may not be able to get to their Dr. The also provide primary care if you need a Dr.Thanks to the team at American Family Care in Huntsville!
When I arrived at the American Family Urgent Care on Whitesburg Drive in Huntsville, all the staff was very nice very accommodating, However, I did not have a good experience with Dr. Robertson he literally spent less than two minutes with me I was hoping he’d at least give me an x-ray of the way I was breathing. He didn’t do that. He just listened to me breathe, let the doctor be the doctor….I tired to ask questions to get to the bottom of what was going on with me and he just said I’ll put in your summary. I wanted to know what his diagnosis was hoping to discuss with him during the visit…however because the office manager Courtney was so caring and loving after she read my review she called me and asked me what I’d be willing to come back in and I said sure….. On the second visit, I was seeing by NP Daphne Berry took good care of me…….. I can say I had a better experience, NP Berry explained everything to me walk me through all that she was gonna do when I left there. I had a diagnosis so again I want to thank the staff at American Family Urgent Care for taking such good care of me for their concern for my health and well-being .I was trying to explain something to him and he was like that the doctor be the doctor. And also like to say…. doctors, NP’s, PA’s, just listen to your patient and there may lie the answers, because honestly, in this case, the office manager really helped see that I was taking care of properly ….Thank you Courtney and all the other staff at AFC for caring. Make this the best day ever!!! God bless.💞
The staff was great. Had zero issues with them. The NP was very dismissive and reminded me at least four times that, Were an urgent care. Theres not much we can do for you. Got absolutely nowhere with her other than some labs and an x-ray. So, waste of my money and my time. And clearly I was wasting her time as well with how she was acting.
I was HUSTLED and there was CONFLICT of INTEREST with Huntsville HOSPITAL. June 2024 went there for UTI urinary tract infection, Had no aches, pains, diarrhea, not nauseous, no headache, breathing was normal, drew blood but did not give me results It was late on a Sunday I guess they didnt want to finish the job because it was near closing time.Long story short they sent me to HH ER, they also drew blood everything came back negative. They put me in a wheelchair to take me for scans I had no problem breathing walking running or bending over. Still at hospital ER they wheeled through some double doors and ONE of the NURSES from AMERICAN FAMILY CARE was there BLOCKED her face with their hand Thats when I knew game was on and Id been CONNED.UTI was result of me not drinking enough water and not eating right. So immediately drank only water and ate fruit It cleared up the next morning not even 8 hours later and 6 hours before I started taking antibiotics they prescribed.
A very well organized office with friendly staff. Good explanation of procedures and quick response on tests. I don’t usually do reviews- this is an exception due to the quality of care and positive interactions,
I was the only one In there yesterday. I was in and out in less than 45 minutes. Ive been over the years and out in an hour. I appreciate what the doctors and staff have done for me over the years. I love having this place as a backup to my personal doctor.
Quick and easy health care. Very efficient. My shoulder and neck stove up tight for at least 4 days. I was in so much pain. They listened took xrays .They gave me meds and a shot and by the time I got home my shoulder was was starting to ease up. I wish I would have went in sooner. I got the very nice doctor too. 😉
I suffer from a chronic illness called Systemic Scleroderma and Rheumatoid arthritis and I had a fall when my left knee went out and I fell down stairs landing on that knee. I was in horrible pain for over 24 hours.I went to the clinic for an xray and I was seen quickly and immediately and everyone did what they could to make me comfortable as well as be very kind to me.I would recommend this clinic for being kind, clean, and very thoughtful towards me, from the front staff to everyone in the back, I was treated like family (if you like your family) and it was nice.
All staff members were excellent. The MD was a master in her craft.I received the treatment I expected to receive.
My visit was for help with a case of poison ivy. The staff was very please and professional. D. Berry was very pleasant with a very good sense of humor. I was treated and released and am praying the medications I got will solve my problem!
Came in for a simple drug test for employment. Receptionist gave me paper work for a DOT physical. She was very rude and wouldnt listen to what I was trying to tell her.
Waited 2 hours in the waiting room for a COVID test. I had to go back up to the receptionist and ask why patients that arrived 1 hour after me were being called back before me. I was then told that the nurses must have skipped my file. After i finally was put in a room, it was obviously dirty and not sanitized. The patient bed in my room had hair on it and the pillow had obviously just been used. The floor was incredibly gross for the office to have only been open for 2 hours (they obviously must not clean the floors). I was afraid to use the kleenex in the exam room because the room felt so unsanitary. As I am still waiting in the exam room ( it is 10:30AM and I arrived at 8:00 AM) I heard an employee tell another patient they could exit the building using a back door since there has been positive COVID cases in house this morning, yet I was placed in an obviously unsanitary room. This place is very unprofessional and would not recommend anyone to visit this doctor office.
The front desk young lady’s were awesome! Courteous!! The young lady I didn’t get her name because her badge was turned over that took my blood pressure weight and where I would like to pick up my prescription etc….She put my prescription in for Miami Florida CVS instead of Merdianville Alabama CVS… 😒Which had me wait an additional hour a total of 2 hours at the Pharmacist and I wasn’t feeling the greatest. Please be sure to double check what you’re putting in the system so patients don’t have to wait to pick up there prescriptions . All the staff in the back assisting me was awesome as well!! Thank you LW!☺️
While I felt as if i received the proper care I needed. I did find the $175 for the office visit steep. The dr walked in I told her what my issue was and she wrote me a script. Less than 2 minute visit should not cost $175
They are so nice in there and they really care about you. They really are thorough and I choose them number one every time. Also, they have an x-ray Machine there and you don’t have to go out somewhere else to get an x-ray.
Arrived on a Sunday with extreme tooth pain. I’ve been taking ibuprofen & Tylenol around the clock and it’s just not working. I’ve got an appointment with my endodontist this week and just wanted something to hold me over. The doctor originally prescribed a torodol shot and amoxicillin, I asked her what I was to do about the pain and she prescribed my ibuprofen 800, the very medication I told her was not working.
Automatically charged me over 600$ AFTER an appointment to a credit card with no option to bill it to me or payment plan. This is criminal.
Worst experience. Wish I could have given 0 stars. Made appointment online, filled out all paperwork, went to office & provided all documentation at check-in...40 minutes later while waiting in exam room to be seen by a doctor (went thru triage with nurse already), I was told the provider does not except my insurance. Then was told, yes they do, then told no again. Complete waste of my time over something that should have been caught at checkin. Office staff clearly has no idea what they are doing.
Awesome job from start to finish! I was impressed with the mature, friendly, welcoming, and personable staff! I wish I knew names to give kudos to these individuals- they did great! They worked together in triage to get us in and out of there . Find the lady, the guy and the nurse practitioner and give them all a raise! . The lovely Carmen, is always GREAT AND ALWAYS DOES A GREAT JOB!!! 👏🏽 The staff worked together to make this an amazing experience, despite the visit! Thank you all!! Keep up the great work!!
I was sick upper respiratory infection. In and out in an hour. Everyone was professional and courteous. Been going there for years. Always good.
I give this 3 stars only because of the nice receptionists at the front and the nurse that brought me into my room and helped me with the things I asked for. I went in there today (6/19/24) and asked for a migraine shot for a migraine that I have been having for a few days. I got back to my room got all situated and as soon as the nurse practitioner got in my room she immediately started being rude. She acted like I was wasting her time and asking me stupid questions like “have you tried taking over the counter medicines like ibuprofen to get rid of your headache”… understandable, but I’d obviously not be at the doctor if the medicine was helping. She immediately started jumping to conclusions and said that it might be a brain bleed and the medicine I was asking for (it’s a common steroid shot that I have personally gotten before for the same reason) would cause a brain bleed to be more severe. She didn’t seem concerned through any of this by the way. She ordered me an MRI for no reason (I’ve had migraines before although not medically diagnosed they can most of the time be self diagnosed) then before even getting the MRI she gave me the shot that supposedly would cause a brain bleed to be worse. So, the only logical explanation for this would be she wanted to make more money because MRIs are really expensive. I’m extremely disappointed and will not be returning because of this extremely rude nurse practitioner.
Horrible and negligent. Would give 0 stars if I could. Left my special needs son with dislocated fingers for 3 days because they were too busy to send a referral to the place they sent him! Tables didnt have paper to keep table sanitized and they were dirty.
I went for Sudden pain in my back and stomach. The nurses were very nice and the nurse who drew my blood was excellent at it. They did X rays and they drew blood for tests. The NP was very professional and friendly. The results werent back before I was discharged. So I called back 2 hours later. The front desk person was, well, I thought having just a bad day until I saw a 4 day old comment and it mentioned her. She answered the phone, I explained who I was and what I wanted. She transferred me to an extension that rang, then hung up. No voice-mail. So I called back. They must have caller ID because the front desk person didnt even answer-just put me on hold. After 5 minutes, I hung up. I called back. Right to hold. I waited 10 minutes, blocked my number and called back. The front desk person answered this time.Once again, sent to a number that hung up. I give up on this company. I cant even leave a dang message! I just want my results!
I was seen incredibly quickly by a very competent & caring provider. They made sure I was on my way towards finding an answer before I left the office. Definitely recommend!
As always it is a pleasant experience. Fast, friendly, and competent care from AFC staff. NP Berry is the best, she has always diagnosed quickly and accurately.
I went on a Wed evening after work for an angry knee. I also had a severe bruise on my shin, I wasn’t concerned but the NP wouldn’t prescribe anything for my knee (steroids & any-inflammatory meds) until she was sure the bruising hadn’t caused a blood clot. She ordered a stat ultrasound. Nothing was STAT about it. OPD center didn’t text me until mid-day the next day, too late to leave work. Went in Friday at 11am for my ultrasound, they assured me it would be to the Dr in a few hours. I called the clinic Friday evening, Saturday, & Sunday they claim it was never received. Called OPDC Monday morning, the re-faxed the report. Called the clinic, the original NP wasn’t available & I would have to wait another 24 hrs, because the on duty practitioner, didn’t exam my knee, although the chart was clearly notated. This is my second terrible experience with an AFC. It all depends on what practitioner is there! Patient beware!
Dont waste your time here. Worst service this morning I’ve ever had at an urgent care. Went in with a server cough, runny nose, headache, hot flashes, chest/head pressure and coughing up mucus. The lady held the door the whole time not sitting to ask me or go over anything with me. In a BIG rush. The assistant gave me a Covid test, flu test and chest xray. But if they would’ve asked and gave me more time, I would’ve told them that was already done three weeks ago. This is not the first time I’ve had these symptoms this month. It’s just not went away. Horrible bedside manner. She said it was a cold but she’s calling it bronchitis. I have no confidence in her Diagnosis . I had no clue if she was a np or doctor she never introduced herself. I asked for a shot for relief she said ok but upon discharge the discharge girl said no shot was listed. I left with only prescriptions but letting them know I’d never come back.
My son went in with bumps and redness in back of throat just a few days ago. He told me the nurse practitioner shined a flashlight down his throat and looked. That was the extent of what was done. He did tell her he had no pain. Maybe thats why they didnt do any more testing. He told her he has had this problem for years. Still no further testing. No antibiotics or medications given. I have pictures of the bumps from that day and the nurse practitioner is stating she saw none. They are also claiming my son told them he didnt want anything done. My son claims he never said that. Called back to see if they could call in antibiotics. No. Must spend another 175 to come in and be seen. Wont come back when they did absolutely nothing the first time.
I was taken to a room within 10 minutes of checking in. The nurses and doctors were all very nice and took the time to not only explain things clearly, they also too the time to listen to me. Great experience.
Very professional staff! Sierra was wonderful! She was patient, attentive, and took very good care of my son. Would definitely recommend!
My visit went really well! The check in process was a little rough due to timed out sessions on the iPad, but the receptionist was very patient with us and made sure we got what we needed. The wait wasn’t too long, but you really can’t expect to just get rushed back. Once we got back there, the MA’s and NP were nice, thorough, and listened to me when I had questions. Definitely recommend for a quick visit without going to the ER.
Great place to go for urgent care. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I didnt have to wait long.
The experience was great i made my appointment online the day before . Sign/ check in was fast and simple . Everyone was kind and very professional . Answered all my questions . Very comfortable experience , i loved it .
Professional, rapid, and personal care. Our nurse practitioner was kind and careful, willing to discuss treatment options and provided rapid tests to ensure an accurate diagnosis.
Waited an hour in the waiting room, an hour in the exam room before the CRNP came in, and 30 minutes more to get my prescription and paperwork. Good thing my condition wasnt actually urgent! Also, the receptionist was not very friendly, and commented that she should have brought a lunch, indicating that patients were interfering with her lunch plans. The CRNP was friendly and knowledgeable, however.UPDATE: The office manager called me promptly, after I posted my first review. She explained that they were unusually busy that day, seeing over 50 patients. She also clarified that the receptionist was not making a negative comment about her lunch being affected by patients. I appreciate the follow up and clarification.
Polite and efficient receptionist Caring and thorough nursing staff. Quick testing and diagnosis. In and out in an hour and on to pick up antibiotics.
Just returning from vacation and sick,; sinus, congestion, fever, etc. I arrived at AFC just after noon. There were two other patients waiting. I completed the paperwork and was called back to the exam room within 20 minutes. Was tested for Covid, strep and flu. All three tests came back negative within 20 minutes. The doctor examined me, asked a few more questions and prescribed a course of treatment. I was in my car leaving in just over an hour. Six hours later I am feeling better. I use this facility on a fairly regular basis. They are clean, efficient and effective; treating every patient with care and respect.
The experience was good. I didn’t have to wait long. I was in and out. The only thing is I wish they could have given me something to treat the pain immediately.
The ladies at this clinic are phenomenal , kind and very professional. I was in and out in no time. Keep up the great work ladies.
They got me in very quickly and recognized i needed to go to the ER after a brief evaluation. Turns out, i did have appendicitis as was feared. Thanks for saving my life.
I went in about 3:30 on a Momday afternoon to be seen for pink eye. The staff and nurse practitioner were super nice and efficient. I was in and out in 30 minutes!
The absolute worst Nurse Practitioner experience. Although staff were kind and efficient, the NP I saw today was horribly rude and uninformed, leaving me without treatment today. As a healthcare provider, myself, I would never treat a patient the way she treated me. I was diagnosed with a viral sinus infection and nausea, (along with possible migraine) but because I have a history of migraines, she refused to give me a corticosteroid shot for my symptoms which included a terrible headache. I know this to NOT be true, because in past Ive actually received corticosteroid shots from same urgent care for a sinus infection that included a headache and nausea. Maybe she was mad because I puked in her trashcan. But she had attitude and yelled at me when I asked about it maybe being a virus. She already said it was a virus but in my blinding head pain and confusion I forgot. Offered my nausea meds, but I already had some at home. This NP was arrogant, ill tempered and uninformed. Was sent away without treatment. Absolutely nothing offered for the blinding face and head pain.
I presented w/ low back pain. They got me back in about 15 min. I saw the CRNP, received injections and was discharged w/in about 45 min. Compare to the multiple hours any ER visit would be, it can’t be beat!
This place use to be a great place to go. However I went here to follow up on an issue that I was having that caused me to go to the ER. They didnt have anyone available at my doctors office till Monday. As soon as the doctor came in the room and I started talking she was dismissive of me and told me there was nothing she could do for me. So then why am I paying to see you. So I left the room and said I would like to leave because clearly she didnt feel the need to help. She asked if I wanted to do labs again but she wasnt sure if it would be covered because I had just had them done. I said yes but then decided that I didnt want to become she acted like its an inconvenience to do her job. The the office manager came and talked to me but didnt want to hear anything I was saying about the situation. She just kept saying we both cant talk at the same time but no one wanted to hear what I was saying about my condition. I asked about a doctors note so I could get some rest and recover because Im very light headed and dizzy all she could say was we can give you up to 3 says any longer is fmla and we dont do that. The office manager refused to give me back my copy because she put in orders that were not completed. She got smart with telling me her name is on the door. When I asked to speak with who was in charge she refused to give her superior information and just told me to call corporate. They had better not file anything on my insurance because I will report them for fraud because they didnt do anything and did not provide me with medical care.
The facility was clean, the receptionist was very soft spoken and hard to hear but polite. Tne check in nurse was very nice and easy to speak with. The nurse practitioner was swift and to the point. It does bother me there is no doctor listed. Only Nurse practitioners. It took 2 hours total from check in to check out. Hour and half in outside waiting area
Quick online appointment. Fast checkin and seen in less than 10 minutes. Friendly staff all the way around.
Service was fast and efficient. I was very pleased. They took good care of me and I will be using them again. So much faster and more efficient than going to a hospital emergency room.
I went to this Urgent Care and took a swab test. They charged me about $954 a couple of months later because they dont accept my United Health Care insurance. The reason why I rate this Urgent Care as 1 star is they didnt tell me that my Insurance wouldnt work at all before I paid my copay. In addition, when I called Urgent Care to ask about this expensive bill, they transferred me to the billing office but nobody answered me and nobody called me back even though I called them multiple times. I strongly recommend you ask them whether your Insurance will cover or not because they do not tell you the same as other Urgent care.
Great experience! Love the staff:) I am feeling much better in one day! Thank u
Very pleasant efficient front counter. Excellent friendly intake nurse staff, PA was very competent and reach a diagnosis to help me. Great experience, highly recommended.
I found that the waiting was minimal. Care given very well done In a professional manner.
Always excellent care. The staff is caring, timely, and thorough. I would definitely recommend.
I had a wonderful customer service experience while getting my DOT Physical at the Whitesburg office in Huntsville. The checkin process was convenient, timely and efficient. Crystal, the receptionist was quite pleasant, knowledgeable and courteous. Nurse Practictioner Carmen did a great job during the examination process, and processed my paper work in a timely fashion. She set proper expectations for what I needed to know regarding the date of expiration of my medical card and authorization procedures for drug testing. The establishment was very clean and orderly. I recommend this clinic to anyone looking for a good customer care experience.
Great service all the way around. They took care of my medical needs in a timely manner and were very personable.
Front desk was very friendly and polite. Nurses was friendly, knowledgeable. The Dr. I really liked. I came in for one thing, which was taken care of. She was also concerned about my pressure. I liked how she fixed me up on both. Can she be my primary Dr. since I don’t have one since moving here??! lol great experience from the whole team
Thank you so much for working me in! I love the feature that you have to show the waiting list on my mobile device once signed in. I truly appreciated that most of my wait time i got to spend at home and the remaining I got to stay in the car. The staff was wondering and caring. Surprisingly in good spirits and the end of what I can only imagine one of their busiest days of the year. 12/23/23. Thank you ❤️
Very amicable, fast and professional. Went to them because my regular urgent clinic was close on Sat…as a veteran it is important to me to be able to reach a service provider other than emergency rooms during weekends…really thinking of doing a full change to this clinic.the cover.202408: fully transferred. 2 notes1 please change your Tablet cover to one that is attached instead of the flimsy one. It fully rest after entering my info and pressed completed. Not sure if the reset icon is next to it or not but this happened twice. The front desk person entered the info for me without problems, after removing2 Please, front desk, your are the 1st face we see. A little cordiality at your station gives the new patients a sense of what to expect of the staff in the back. Don’t be dismissive and take your ear piece out…it assert your dismissiveness when we ask something and you don’t answer back.
Everyone was nice and listened. Visit was short apart from an hr wait from approximate appointment time to seeing the doc. Saw the doctor less than 10 mins but he was nice (T. Robinson) and he got me what I needed to feel better!
Using my dads phone.I had a wonderful visit today. People there were extremely helpful, and I would highly advise anyone who is looking for medical care. This is Leslie Carroll. Everyone deserves a raise!
Definitely go here again early check-in helped took us back pretty quick did the testing very thorough took about an hour or so would highly recommend them
Excellent care provided! Quick and accurate care . Wait time was excellent. Sierra was amazing! Excellent patient care!
I was so impressed with everything about this clinic. It was so easy to get signed in, quick to be seen and everyone I encountered today was super friendly and helpful.
They are always efficient and kind whenever I am having any issues. If I can’t get into my internal medicine physician, I know AFC will take care of me!
They were very nice and polite very respectable and very concerned about your health I always go back they are a good family doctor
Very clean and professional place. The nurses and nurse practitioner was concerned about my needs. Thank you and keep up the great work! 🌞🌻
DON’T GO HERE. The medical billing department is horrible and nonresponsive. They failed to code my visit correctly when submitting my insurance. I called over six times to have it resubmitted and even emailed the company vice president and no one would help or return my calls. Be prepared to pay outlandish prices for your care if you go to AFC.
I had an awesome experience being a patient at the AFC Whitesburg facility. The staff is very friendly and attentive.NP Daphne Berry was a pleasure to work with. Her patience and care was top notch and I believe she is the best Nurse Practitioner within the Huntsville/Madison County area.Highly recommended.
Nurse practitioner was nice. The wait was the worst I have had there over two and 1/2 hours. I asked why so many people were going in front of me the receptionist said they have drug screenings and stuff that go in. All I know is that it was ridiculous how long it took! I did not see people coming out quickly like a drug screen would…. Just saying! Two stars is all I could give for being nice I won’t be back!
The place was clean. All the staff (except for the first person you meet when checking in) were extremely kind and friendly. The office girl at check-in was very brash, unfriendly. I nearly left to go somewhere else just because of her. Im glad I didnt though, because all of the other staff more than made-up for her. I would like to have seen the waiting room a bit bigger and a sick side and a well side.
So grateful to have their care this morning, all staff were incredibly nice and helpful.
Staff was very friendly and courteous, quick check in and short wait to get seen, definitely recommend going here if feeling under the weather
Amazingly beautiful facility with kind staff. Very fast
I was able to get in to see the doctor immediately. The entire staff were very kind and friendly. Im so thankful they were able to help me with my situation.
Courtney was very understanding loved this office ,daniel was very gentle with blood work, loved daphne.
We always have such a positive experience at this AFC. They truly care and work so hard to help the kids feel comfortable and cared for. Thank you for all you do!------Updated 03/25/24:Everyone we met with today was wonderful, as always!
Went there on a Sunday morning at 8 am for a sinus infection and the check in went great. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful, I have to go through the VA and she called and got it authorized. Then was called back immediately and was seen promptly seen by the physician assistant, and that went smoothly. Overall the whole experience was very positive, friendly and professional. Would highly recommend American Family Care.Thank you to all of the staff there.
.excellent experience. Staff was caring. They had an enormous task getting the skin back over the wound. They accomplished it with flying colors. They did superior work and I am most grateful.
I forgot the name of the sweet lady who gave me a shot- she was really good! And Daphne was wonderful, as always. Your whole staff is considerate in every way. This is my favorite doctor’s office. They make being sick a little more bearable.
The lady who took my blood pressure & temperature was friendly & kind. The Doctor was pleasant and helpful. The front desk lady helped guide me through the checkin process.
Making an appointment was easy to do online. The staff was friendly and courteous, and prescriptions were called in prior to leaving. There was a delay in getting the x-rays read by a radiologist so I didnt get the results until much later.
A lot of paperwork but that’s everywhere you go. Service was quick, techs were super nice and the doctor treated me as if I was her relative.
I scheduled a time. They texted me when ready and I arrived and walked straight in to be worked up, put in a room, tested and then waited no longer than 10 min for the doc to learn I had the flu. This was on Sat,12/23 when they were one of the only urgent cares open and very busy. So impressed and grateful!
We had great service. We were check in. And diagnosed. And ready to go. Really great and quick service.
Very friendly staff. They had a here to help attitude! 10/10 highly recommend
They are kind and efficient especially the CRNP Daphne:)
Kind providers, clean, professional clinic, great care. The only thing I would recommend is that the providers introduce themselves and their roles. Other than that, everything exceeded my expectations.
Takes too much time to fill out registration EACH TIME. Quick and friendly staff. We were seen quickly and Dr. BERRY was very knowledgeable.
Shorter wait time than expected. Everyone was smiling and friendly which I know has to be hard to do in that line of work! In a room quick. diagnosed quick. Meds sent to pharmacy and were ready for pickup. A+ in a tough field..keep up the great work.
Walked in and seen within 20 minutes with 3 people ahead of me. Staff is extremely nice and helpful.
Our timing wasn’t great- right before closing and staff was trying to get out the door for the rest of life but nurse and Dr were unconcerned with the timing.
If I could give more than 5 stars I would. This health facility is the best I have ever been to. The staff was very friendly and kind, the nurse practitioner was very professional. I was in and out in 30 minutes. I will definitely return to this facility in the future. Shout out to Keoon (spelling) who took good care of me.
I have never been in an urgent care clinic where they get you back almost immediately and keep you informed while you wait in the room. Excellent excellent service. I was a nurse for thirty years I highly recommend these people.
Care was quick, efficient, and respectful. I was fully heard before receiving any treatment or test.
I thought that I had something else but the Doctor was right. It was pulmonary edema after the Lasix I was much better. Sorry I got upset. All were nice to me. Thanks💛
The staff seemed nice enough. Was met by a very very sweet girl for check in. Then taken back by a girl that seemed maybe a little shy possibly. She did my vitals but was not told what they were. The doctor did seem to be in a hurry to get me out of there without knowledge of what was causing the issue. They ordered x-rays (which I didnt need at all) and the girl that did those were great. The Dr came back and basically told me to give it a few more days after a shot of steroids. So I still dont know what the issue at hand is caused from or how to fix it. And it sucks.
Returned from a cruise being sick last 3 days. Got there early and diagnosed with flu and on my way within one hour. Prescriptions called in and great service as always when I go to AFC.
I have the worst experience there they dont deserve one star , they give me the wrong medication on the prescription and the nurse practitioner told I can only ask 2 questionsPlus she just guessed was wrong with my simtomsTerrible service
Very pleasant experience. I could not see primary physician so I scheduled an appointment on their website. Staff was very nice and attentive. Was out in reasonable amount of time. Thank you.
Whoever the helper was of the nurse practitioner was amazing but the nurse practitioner laughed at me when I was in pained and judged me for wanting to leave cuz the pain was so bad plz don’t make your patience feel beneath you that’s horrible and I’ll never be back there again I don’t remember her name but she works on Sundays and she’s obviously Better then everyone how she acted I waited 3 hours there and the condition only got worse and I got laughed at so better ma’am
The doctor expressed disapproval by shaking her head when I couldnt answer a question, making me feel unwelcome as a new patient. The front desk person discreetly inquired about my visit, which seemed inappropriate. On a positive note, the Phlebotomist was kind. Overall, this isnt a place Id choose to invest more money, as customer service appears lacking.
The registration process is ridiculous, I swear the doctor had no clue what he was doing, his clothes looked like he had been sleeping in them, the Mas were very nice, I wont go back
Ok, to start with my experience within the medical profession is vast lol! I have worked within it for over 30 years. So I couldn’t wait to do this review and give the utmost excellent facility and staff credit for an outstanding medical office for everything I received. I was sick sick with what appeared to be Covid. Fever 102.9 and the rest as we all know. Wow these guys had me in at 8am gave me 2 shots and 3 scripts for exactly what got me on my way to recovery. They even did a chest X-ray. Outstanding! Within 12 hours I was feeling like I would survive. Thank you the entire staff and facility for excellent survivor and treatment. I will tell everyone about y’all 🤗👍🏻😊
Facility cleanStaff very professional and attentive. DGetting better due to their care
Out of no where this morning I get a charge on my bank account for almost $70.00 and no one even told me they were going to be pulling this money out of my account or that I even owed a balance! I will never come back to American family care if they are gong to charge your card whenever they feel like it and not alert you that you have a balance. If you don’t have extra money in your bank I’d suggest going to a different urgent care that won’t just pull randomly from your bank account especially if you are on a tight budget.
The staff is excellent. Very Polite professional and sympathetic to what I was feeling.
The place seems to be well managed and the employees respected my time. They were very punctual and my appointment went flawless.
Very slow process…. Love the check in tablet…even though we waited 45 min to be brought back…the young lady that took the blood pressure, height, weight etc… very nice & efficient… sat in “ the box” of an examining room… for approximately another 30-40 min for CNP to come in to tell us they needed a culture… another 30-45 min for someone to come in to swab throat and nose, which took a few seconds to do… was told it will take another 15 minutes before results… so I went out to sit in car and left Chloe’ ( 12 yr old granddaughter), 5 min later my phone rings and the results are back, then CNP kept telling me they’ve been waiting on me…. Very patronizing… Bottom line, will think twice before going back. Not that they care, they appeared to have the business…
Were in a hurry toʻ cĺosè àn̈d did not treat me infected toe properly.
I would like to thank AFC for treating me like family. And it was good to see Dr. Berry again, she helped me with my back problem, and I appreciate that. 👍🏾
I had a great visit. Everyone was very professional and treated me great!
This is the second time my family has had an urgent need for care and we have had wonderful experiences at AFC. Kind, caring, professional, skilled and supportive from beginning to end! I cannot recommend this facility highly enough!
I was in and out within one hour! Everyone was kind, professional and attentive. The rooms, furnishing and floors could have been cleaner and in better condition ( the reason for 4 stars).
Daphne Berry took excellent care of me when I came in, not knowing I had COVID, and then again when I came in a week later still feeling under the weather. Some clinics Ive been to make you feel like just a number, and dont really care. She is wonderful, and has a great personality!! Thanks!
Nurse doesnt seem to care about us as a patient. What a waste of money. At least I know not to come back. I liked the easiness of doing everything on line so convenient and no wait time. Thats what the stars are for.
Have been very happy with my experiences here- I just go once or twice a year when I can’t get in quickly enough with my GP and it’s not a serious emergency. Wait has been minimal if I go on a weekday & try to arrive just as they open or early afternoon. (During COVID they were busy so longer wait times.) I’ve always been pleased with the staff, and the level of diagnosis, communication & treatment offered.
Terrible. Heading to my primary care Dr now. A waste of money.
On 10/07/23, went here to get tested for flu & get some relief from congestion, cough, etc... the entire staff were friendly, attentive & helpful. This was Sat at 5pm, filled out paperwork & got called back in 5 min... the NP prescribed antibiotic n cough syrup...On 10/09/23, Mon, had a reaction to antibiotic & returned here to get different prescription, saw a Dr Hur, this time, had chest x-ray & a Steroid shot prescription. Same great staff and no waiting at all...I definitely would use this AFC Urgent Care facility again if neededI thank you all, through Jesus Christ my Saviour, for your friendly, helpful service and smiles...
Staff at AFC were understanding and took my illness and concerns seriously. There was a fair bit of wait, but considering this was holiday hours I cant really complain too much at that.
Ive no complaints about AFC Whitesburg. The staff is knowledgeable, professional, and efficient.
I was very impressed. I can tell they were short staffed because the person at the front desk was clearly filling in. In spite of that, everyone was extremely friendly and professional. I received what seemed like excellent care, was given one treatment there and sent on my way with three prescriptions. I am from out of town and this was a godsend. Thank you so much.
The whole team was on top of my condition from the time I was called back. Definitely looking out for me, even bringing me juice when I felt light-headed, my only wait was for an X-ray to be read externally.Highly recommend
My experience was absolutely amazing. The staff were very friendly and attentive.
This was my first time being seen, but my second time coming up there.. Both times of coming there were really great experiences, the staff is very friendly, and they make you feel better if you come to them sick, just smiles, and the warm welcome the present. I would recommend to everyone, but I dont want to because itll be overwhelming.
I went here on a Sunday afternoon for a covid test. Check-in and paperwork was all straightforward and went quickly. But when I was taken back, the person taking my vitals made fun of my mental illness and made me feel bad for what I was wearing. Once I was in the exam room, a nurse came in pretty promptly and did my nose swab. He told me theyd be back with my results in 15-20 minutes. 50 (miserable) minutes later the NP finally comes in with my results, and Im fairly sure thats only because my husband who was waiting for me in the car came in and asked the front desk what was taking so long. I do NOT recommend this location.
My 1 year old daughter has had diarrhea for the past 24 hours and some spitting up. I called ahead to ask if they treated her age range for this symptom and they said yes. After sitting in the waiting room for an hour, we go back and they take her temp then put us in a room. 20 min later they come in and tell me there’s nothing they can do for someone her age. They didn’t even touch her, ask any further questions or give me any advice on how to know if she’s dehydrated enough for an ER visit. What a complete waste of time, one that could have been avoided had they been honest with me when I called. Ridiculous.
The wait was not long at all. all of the staff was friendly, approachable, and made me comfortable. they took the time to listen to my symptoms and quickly got to work. they made me laugh when i was nervous about the blood work. i would recommend others to visit. this is one of the best experiences at an urgent care i have ever had. thank you guys.
I visited AFC on Whitesburg Drive here in Huntsville, Al on 06/29/2023 for them to perform a TB skin test for my place of employment. All of the medical staff, including the receptionist, were friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. The facility was clean and organized and my wait time was short. I was there for about 20 minutes total. I highly recommend their services and I will definitely return if my family or I require any medical assistance and/or care in the future.
The service was great. It just took too long to get called back.
I was seen quickly and the staff members were super nice and very helpful. The doctor was thorough with her questions and explanations. She explained my issues to me in laymans terms and got me the help I needed. 10/10 will use again
Everyone was friendly and very professional! The nurse practitioner was great!
Came in close to closing and they made sure I didnt feel like a bother or an inconvenience. They helped me quickly and efficiently get what I needed for my ailment. No gaslighting, no arguing, no belittling. Just good people actually helping to get me better quickly. They were fabulous!
Wait time was great this visit! I got good efficient service. I have gone here many times over the years. Sometimes it is a long wait depending on how many people are waiting. Overall they have taken care of me well for an Urgent care facility throughout the years. I prefer this clinic over other nearby urgent care facilities. The new staff is very good!
The staff were very helpful from the receptionists at the front desk, to the medical technician who took information for the initial assessment, to the lady who took my blood, to the x-ray tech, to the doc (Amy) who diagnosed my ankle injury….I felt I received excellent treatment. The medical industry (insurance) now makes accessing medical care much more complicated than it was a few decades ago…but the ladies working at American Medical Center made my experience easy and almost fun using kind and gentle professionalism.
Tiqeshia!! It was so wonderful and nice to have you today. She treated me and my daughter with so much respect, not only that she brought my daughter some fruit to our room! So sweet of her. Thanks for all you have done for us today! Your work was amazing. ❤️
Check in staff excellentPhysician assistant need a course in bedside manners. Acted like she shouldn’t be troubled with the fact I needed to see a doctor. Acted like she was doing me a huge favor by granting me with a RX for my UTI.
I’ve been using this place regularly now for a couple of years and I’m always satisfied when I leave. Th3 staff is very friendly and I’m in and out of there in around 30 to 45 min. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking.
I will begin by saying that the staff was very helpful and friendly from beginning to end, but I had the strangest experience at this location. First of all when I came in, the place seemed literally empty. Zero patients in the waiting room (which I thought was a good thing), no one at the counter, no signs of life. I stood there several minutes, kept looking at the hours of business posted on the door, checked the website for the hours, even called the phone number to see if the location was actually closed but the door left open. No answer on the phone call but it did draw someone to the front desk. Again, super friendly but didn’t apologize for the wait or offer any explanation. Got checked in and waited a few minutes to be called back. The MA was sweet, went over my info and medical complaint, explained who would see me, the process, etc. Really liked him! So I get in the room and a few minutes later, I’m seen by the NP. Very impressed with her, professional demeanor, kind, and very knowledgeable. She gives me a diagnosis and explains that she’s going to send one prescription in but give me another one on paper to have just in case. She says they (I assume the same MA?) will be back with it. I wait in the room for 20-ish minutes (I’m honestly not sure, but I had time to knock out several emails and even returned a phone call) with no one coming in. I poke my head out the door and don’t see or hear a sound, so I decided to just leave. On my way out, I see the NP in her office on the computer, but she was eating so I decided not to disturb her. Then I passed the same MA on his computer, but this time he didn’t really say anything to me. I just kind of awkwardly walked on out with no one saying anything. It was the strangest visit, not necessarily negative, but also not pleasant. I don’t leave a lot of reviews, but I kinda thought someone would want to know about my experience.
They were quick, sufficient & after 3 different doctors appointment somewhere else & 1 hospital visit AFC found my issue & now I’m on to getting better. Thanks AFC
Went on Sunday morning with an infected cat bite. The Nurse Practitioner was great, prescribed antibiotics and had the nurse give me a tetanus shot. Everyone was great, especially the desk person in the front, who helped me getting the forms filled. In and out in an hour.
All of the drs and staff were super kind, professional, and super helpful!! They got me in and out super quick 🤧👍🏻
The front office receptionist was very professional and pleasant. I was really impressed with the treatment I got. Once inside I was happy that the doctor listen to my description of how I was feeling and appreciated that she understood that I can read my body like I do.God bless,Marilyn Alonso
I have been to AFC a couple of times now, but this is the first time for service for myself. This time after seeing my PCP just two days ago. (My Dr.s diagnosis was inaccurate) Each time has been quick, efficient and pleasant. The staff was helpful, listened and was knowledgeable about the diagnosis, and treatment. If ever I am in need of urgent care again, I will go back.
The staff and Daphne Berry, NP were great! Thank you for all you did for me today! I appreciate it!
Wonderful experience from beginning to end. Receptionist exceeded my expectations in getting me checked in. The nurse practitioner listened attentively and performed a thorough assessment. In and out and less than an hour. A+
Visiting American Family care today was so helpful and relieving. I was concerned about a recent tick bite and the after effects I had been experiencing. From walk-in to check in to diagnosis and then receiving resulting recommended prescription were each pleasant and professional encounters. Thanks Whitesburg American Family Care! And please follow-up on the technology snafu for my ultimate identity security.
Yesterday 5:18 they had this sign up. Today I went at 2:15 they still had this sign up with only 4 people sitting in the lobby Jennifer was sitting at the desk saying they are booked to capacity. Just the attitude of oh well no recommendations of another location nothing. I have never experienced this with this company before. I asked is this normal no valid reason given just we booked up
I always go to American Family Care. They are kind, efficient, and thorough. My medical needs are always met.
Check in was straight forward and quick. The wait to see the provider was only 15 minutes. The diagnosis was clear and recommendations reasonable. The prescription was ready before we got to the pharmacy. I would use this place again when my regular doctor is out of town.
Went to AFC on Sunday morning. Everyone was very nice and friendly. Very professional. Got in and out in about an hour. Good place to go when your sick your doctor nit in office. Rather go there than to the ER.
Went in for pre-employee drug screening. I informed the staff I was ready to provide the urine sample immediately on arrival and they still made me wait an hour due to the individual who arrived before me not being ready. I barely made it. Don’t understand why they didn’t change the order and I don’t care. I would not recommend this place.
I had a great experience here at AFC! The nurse practitioner Daphne was very nice and the medical assistant Daniel was also very nice and gentle. He did a great job drawing my blood. I’m usually very nervous about blood work but he eased my mind. Everyone was professional.
Very short wait time, staff was very helpful with everything while i was there the whole time
Easy in and out! Took care of me quickly and professionally!
AFC takes good care of my family when we cant make it to our family physicians. I like that they have some lab testing and X-ray there on site. Everyone is always professional and helpful and kind. Weve been going for years.
The doctor on call was very friendly and took the time to answer all of my questions. The nurses were especially nice and helped my sick 7-year-old relax. Thank you for excellent care!
Thank you to Daphne, Sierra, and Daniel for a smooth and enjoyable visit.
I love this place, they are very good and professional, some years ago i had went for chest pains, the doctor pick up on it admitted, asks whos with me i said my wife is out side the car she sent a helper to get her, told her had heart attack, take him the hospital, or i will call the ambulance. Thank God she was right i made it in time, Thank you Afc keep up the good work 👏.
The staff treated me great! I was in & out within an hour with an exam, blood drawn, 2 shots, and a chest x-ray. They are really quick. The entire staff treated me really nicely. Especially Jen, she definitely does it all there. The Nurse Practitioner was great and she answered all my questions and told me they would follow up if any new information became available to them. I will DEFINITELY be back because they are a minute down the road and my PCP is in Decatur. So anytime I need to be seen quickly I will definitely be returning to the Whiteburg location.
The staff was kind enough during my visit and the provider was very friendly. However, for the parking lot being so empty, I would have expected the wait time to be much less. There was a lot of time sitting in the exam room waiting on results or for a prescription to be returned to me. (I did use their online check-in process.)
This place makes dealing with medical stuff easy.
As always, received prompt, courteous and professional attention by knowledgeable staff. Ms. Daphne NP provided information thoroughly and patiently addressed my concerns and questions. I’m so glad to have AFC close to our home.
Facilities were very clean and the staff was excellent and professional
We have used this clinic a number of times. The medical service has been decent, but they make the sign-in and billing process quite painful.Every time you go to AFC, they will want you to put all your info into an ipad, including pictures of your diverse license and insurance, and your SSN. There is no need for them to do this for recurring patients, and it is frankly very lazy of them. For billing, they are incapable of charging the appropriate copays during visits and always end up mailing bills months later. Then there is no way to pay on the web! You have to download an app on your phone and sign up if you want to pay online. You cant even create an account on their patient portal on their website. You can call and they always have insane wait times trying to reach a billing specialist. Last time I called them, I waited about 15 minutes before the call went through, then they instantly hung up on me!We are going to start avoiding this clinic in the future.
Came here for a drug test. Had an appointment. Came 10 minutes before and 2 hours later was finally done. There was hardly anyone in the building and it still took that long. There was is no reason for it to take that long. Some staff friendly, but one actually told me well we have so many of y’all. That isn’t my fault, why let the employer set up appointments if they doesnt matter. Unless forced I’d never come back. I’m gonna make sure everyone knows to pick a different location if they need a drug test and or physical. I’ve never had a drug test and physical appointment take this much unnecessary time. Yet lucky for me the NP was so nice I forgave them… kinda. Im clean but if I fail my drug test I will always know they did it cause I complained
It was not good I needed a shot to ease the pain and use my right arm an Dr Hall did nothing at all total disappointment will recommend any one go see her ever ,Doctors should solve and waste patients time n money now still in pain after she recommended a otc cream real dumb
Amazing service! I came in with my 1 year old and everyone from the front desk to the nurse practitioner were incredibly helpful and kind and fast. Tiqeshia and Daniel had an incredible bedside manner when my one year-old needed an x-ray! I don’t know what I would have done it without Tiqeshia there to help me! She was even kind enough to bring us a snack when I ran out for the baby. Plus: Clean facilities!!
I came in because I rolled my ankle. My ankle hurt so bad I was crying when I walked. They did call me back very fast because they were not busy at all.As I am crying in the office trying to walk to the patient room then X-Ray room and back to the patient room, the nurse and provider just watched me crying and never once offered a wheelchair or crutches or any kind of assistance.I gave 2 stars because they were fast in getting me seen and out of there, but their patient care/bedside manner is 0 stars!
Pleasant staff, clean environment, not too much waiting.
I could not reach my regular doctor, so I stopped in to AFC. The entire staff was calm, kind, courteous, and professional. I witnessed a customer being rude to the person at the front desk, but the employee kept her cool, deescalated the situation and addressed his needs, and kept everyone else in queue as needed. Please, people, be kind with medical professionals who are putting themselves on the line to help us.
Visited on a Sunday afternoon. There were two people ahead of me but I was seen quickly and on my way with prescriptions sent to my pharmacy. Will visit again.
It was really helpful to be able to make an appt online the night before. I was out within 45 minutes, including the X-ray. I’ve had to wait hours there before, so this was a nice surprise.
I was feeling awful and unable to get into my dr over the weekend so went into this American Family Care late Sunday. I was in and out in under 45 minutes and felt totally taken care of the entire time. From check-in (I was feeling so bad that filling out the paperwork on my small phone was hard, so the woman at the front desk printed out the paper work for me) to being seen (NP who saw me was so kind and helpful and the nurse who gave me a shot (I hate shots) was the sweetest woman and made it so fast and painless) the whole visit was great. I would go here again in a heart beat. They know what they are doing and they do it with kindness.
I went in complaining of fever, headache, felt like goop in my chest and UTI. They took me back after 30 minutes in the lobby. They did a chest x-ray and put me in a room. The doctor/NP (SHE WAS SO RUDE)!!!!!! came in said my chest x-ray was normal, I said what about the UTI she said you didnt mention that, I said yes I told the nurse (which by the way wasnt interested in what I was telling her)! She literally walked out of the room, a few minutes later a tech came in and done a urine on me then told me to wait in the room . She (NP) came back in and said were going to give you a shot and put you on an antibiotic. At that point I just wanted to get out of there. So the tech came in gave me a shot and I left! I come home my fever got up to 104 so I called them back twice I couldnt get a nurse on the phone so I went to the ER. They admitted me to ICU I spent 2 days in ICU and 5 more days on the pulmonary floor. I had pneumonia in both lungs, the ER said if I had of waited 24 hrs I wouldnt of made it. So, I dont know how my chest x-ray was normal and 4 hrs later I had pneumonia in both lungs. Guess the Dr didnt know how to read a chest x-ray or she didnt read it at all! I will NEVER go back to AFC, the clinic next to Publix in the old Haysland Square is where I go now and they are amazing.
This location is entirely too slow. I waited nearly 1 hour in the lobby before being called back, while only having two patients in front of me. Once called back to a room, I waited an additional 1.5 hours before I was even seen. I do not recommend this location unless you plan on wasting your entire day.
The team was extremely helpful, and joyful and for me it helped tremendously with the pain i was in, laughter really is the best medicine. But i dont want to take away from the professionalism and the detail that was implemented, thank you guys(girls) so much, i feel much better
Their website is extremely miss leading about telling you what vaccinations you need to travel differ locations in the world. I was passed through 3 different people, before I decided I was wasting my time. They kept asking me what shot I needed. I told them I didn’t know but I wanted their advice on what shots I needed IAW the CDC warnings about disease prevalent ln Peru. They DO NOT PROVIDE THAT SERVICE. Their advertisements on their web sites are extremely misleading.
Staff were friendly and NP we saw was through and helpful in treating my child after hours. Several prescriptions called in after examining her. Nasal and throat swabs were done first and rapidly given results which were negative. We would go back as needed.
I so appreciate the kindness of staff. Everyone seemed to actually care and although there was a wait, the TV monitor gave an approximate wait time. I would highly recommend American Family Care on Whitesburg Dr
First time coming there today. She said she’d call in the antibiotics and pain medicine but she didn’t call in the pain medicine. I have an infection and I am in horrible pain. I saw her all of two minutes. I will never return.
