The staff, while some were inattentive, truly cared. that much, I could tell. especially the doctor that took care of my brother. we really appreciated her help, but the system as a whole here is not ideal at all.it didn’t feel like we were in safe hands—not because of the staff—but because everything was disorganized and there was a lack of communication both between the staff and with us. we were there on a saturday night around 9pm, so maybe that could be it? either way, please seek medical care elsewhere.that said, my brother’s reason for visit is a facial cut so I’m more critical because of that. I’m sure if we came in for a fever or a cold, it would be fine. so keep that in mind as well.
Went to the emergency with abdominal pain. The service was great.Later they transferred to the Queens woman’s center. So far my experience is great. It’s true that it take forever to get service in emergency just like any other hospital.Update: Had my 1st baby at Queens Hospital .The Doctors and Nurses were super supportive and helpful.Although I had healthy pregnancy which end up with EC-section that was quite traumatic experience.
I went in through an ambulance during the midweek, I had thrown my back out picking up my child and physically could not move, the pain was a 15 out of 10, I was quickly seen and thought theyd take care of me. They did a cat scan and verified a disc herniation and had me sit in a chair which made things worse, I had to ask them to use a bed instead so I can bear the pain. Eventually they came and told me I was being discharged. I was only given Tylenol and muscle relaxers which were doing absolutely nothing. After some tears and begging, they gave me a Toradol shot, which also did nothing at the present moment. I was begging them to please do something, I COULD NOT WALK, and they expected me to leave on my own. After begging them again for at least a cane, and begging for help to get to the lobby, which was met with confused blank looks, I managed to slowly make it to the hallway, where I was crying from the pain and another woman saw me struggling. She fetched a wheelchair for me and left me in the hallway while she talked to the ER PA Ingrid and the nurses. She came back to tell me the same story they gave me, that Ill be fine and I need to take Tylenol and the relaxants. I was so frustrated, angry and scared to leave on my own, I eventually made it outside leaving in PURE agony as people watched. I want to emphasize that I physically could not walk and had to use every bit of strength I had to leave that horrible place. It took me a good 30 minutes to crawl my way from the ER lobby to a bench outside where I was able to call a cab.Since last weeks visit, Im still in agonizing pain and have seen a different doctor who told me the treatment I recieved at this hospital was completely unethical. Im still considering my options on what to do next.
I had a very positive experience with the hospital police center. Chief Acevedo should be recognized as he was very helpful, professional, and personable. He went above and beyond to resolve an issue. The treatment I received was top notch, and the staff was very efficient. Thank you!
“AWFUL” is an understatement for the Pharmacy department at Queens General, these people play too much with Out time and patience, first you gotta make a line sometimes it takes you hours to drop off your prescription order in window #5-#4 only #5 is open, then make another line to pick up your meds #1-#2 the other windows are just for decor, God forbid your insurance hasn’t expired or that you don’t have any otherwise you are going to wait for Hours for the finance department to have you join a whole new waiting line to go back to window#1, the frustration is real! If you have insurance get your meds anywhere else but here! If you don’t please share your opinion your experience, is not fair to waste a whole day just because a team lacks of communication professionalism and organization. PEOPLE IS TIRED OF THE WAY BEING TREATED AT THE PHARMACY!
Arrived at 9:30pm and sat in the waiting room. About an hour later was sent to fast track so it would be “quicker”. Maybe an hour after that they gave me Tylenol. At 2:30 I asked the nurse “I’m sorry but if I’ve been here five hours, if I’m not seeing anyone can I just go home?” She looked confused and asked if I had gotten x rays. I told her no, only the Tylenol. She said the PA was with the doctor and would speak with me soon. An hour later they hand me discharge papers. I said so I’m not seeing anyone? The PA said since Tylenol helped and I had no other symptoms aside from what I came in with, to follow up with my primary doc.So I sat in that hospital for 6 hours just for Tylenol which I got on hour 2. So I sat for 4 extra hours for no reason! The PA kept telling people she was the only provider and I feel for her I really do, but then the hospital needs to adequately staff their ED. Six hours just to get discharged after not even speaking to someone is WILD.
I am asthmatic. Came inside due to an asthma attack. Did not get seen by the doctor and it was going on two hours since I arrived with EMS. Nurses are unprofessional and rude. One nurse took very long to do my ekg and kept talking about hair to another worker, ignoring I was there. Very unprofessional. I asked another nurse for water because my throat was dry due to medication already administered to me. Nurse just pointed to a machine, no cups around for me to get water. I ended up not getting water. Patients with mental disabilities were also being mistreated I witnessed first hand. I signed an AMA to leave because the place is truly dystopian and horrible. Go elsewhere if you have a choice.
I came to the hospital with a fever and a swollen stomach, with terrible pain, I couldn’t walk on my own. My husband pushed me in a wheelchair... I waited for help for about 10 hours without moving... They wrote on the sheet with my biography that help in the form of paracetamol was provided, but they didn’t give me anything. People who came with a bruised leg and could walk on their own passed faster than me with cutting pains in the stomach. In the end, the doctor never looked at me, I left because I couldn’t sit anymore, my whole body ached because I couldn’t move. It was impossible to go there at night to buy food or water, if the doctor had called me, I would have lost my place in the queue if I hadn’t been there. All the nurses threw up their hands and couldn’t do anything, even give paracetamol without a doctor’s prescription. How can this point be called an emergency room if no one could help...
I was rushed to the ER for abdominal pain. Queens hospital is clean, great helpful people, awesome nurses. This hospital is a lot better than Northwell to be honest. The ER is organized. The only thing I noticed is the loooong wait at the CAT Scan. Ive waited for 2 hours to get it done. But overall this hospital is superb 👌🏻👌🏻
My mother had to have colon surgery. These doctors did a excellent job taking of my mom! They were accurate in their analysis and they treated her well to her recovery. My mom is a firecracker she was walking after a day and a half. Thanks doctors at Queens Hospital you Rock! Did I mention I was born there!
This place is disgusting its stinks horribly & the wait time is outrageous. Parents letting kids run around, stepping on chairs, ppl walking around bare footed. From the time i walked in about 8:45pm until i left 1am i stood up holding a 2 yr old with a heavy diaper bag plus Doctors taking their sweet time. Waited 2 1/2 hrs some results just for them to step what i already knew. I will stick to queens presbyterian hospital. DONT GO HERE
Possibly one of the worst hospitals to go to. Thought they were nice ppl at first, a second & third visit really shows you how rude their staff is. You can be dying & have to wait months for an appointment before seeing anyone here as well as getting the wrong prescriptions for whatever you go in for. They should just close down the hospital tbh since most of the doctors won’t even see you if they are short staffed.
This hospital is the absolute WORST !!! they are filthy , disgusting and corrupt. they allowed the IV to fall out my hand in a waiting room full of people while blood literally spilled out of my hand like water .. they have no social distance what so ever , they were taking peoples blood in an open area of about 25 people, a naked guy was running around pissing everywhere with his gown open in the back. i do NOT recommend going here .. they do not care about your well being what so ever.(the picture is my blood from my hand AFTER the IV fell out my hand)
Went in an emergency with my daughter from food poisoning on July 2019.We were in JFK and 911 brought us to the QCG Hospital.Nice staff (5 stars) -just the front door police very bad trained- I stayed 8 hours in the attendance room waiting for my daughter and always he is coming to me to ask to go way...(could not recognized me ? What a kind of police officer...😅)Inside some facilities with ongoing work. Some places outdated with a bad appearance for who is sickOf course there is a myriad of people coming back and forth but in any moment we experienced a threat or bad situation. As a tourist and non American all fees were dropped by the hospital. The account guy (in the photo) was really very polite and helpful , the same for the attendants
I wish I could put 0 star, to, all the NURSES, and CNA’S at this Facility who have vulnerable patients LAYING IN PEE and POO all day, REMEMBER, KARMA GONNA GET YOU, SHAME ON YOU, even though NOT all of you are heartless it looks terrible on all so do the rite thing and make sure you enlighten your coworkers about KARMA, you or your Families could be the next patient in those beds and would you like to be treated in such manner? Why does SOME of your CNAs and Nurses have bad attitude?? and to all you SOCIAL WORKERS who don’t ever visit nonverbal patients that you are supposed to advocate for, yes, my Family never got a visit in 4 weeks, shame on y’all as well, you said you never get the time to do so, may God have mercy on y’all Families because they deserved better than y’all.Don’t just dress up in those uniforms for Money, please have some empathy, and why do you always claim to be SHORT STAFF? it’s NOT the Patients faults, so therefore they deserve to be treated with dignity, New York is a very populated State so I am asking Mr/ Mrs. CEO, Administration, Human Resource, and all Management team, to please hire People to work.God bless the GOOD Nurse Managers and Charge Nurses, but you have to stop cover for the Nurse’s and PCAs who are heartless, your job is NOT a “Friends thing” when you do that you discredit your own selves. PUT ALL PATIENTS FIRST or seek other jobs, Nursing jobs are for people who really care. and to the Public, please watch over your loved ones who are NOT able to speak in this or any other Hospitals.
The financial department and pharmacy are a joke. Minimum wait time is 2 hours. The system in this hospital and departments need to change. The financial department doesn’t matter if you grabbed a number and wait for your turn. People who doesn’t have a number they just knocked on their door and they answered their questions. what’s the point of following the system???? Need to do better.
Isa is a regular patient at Queens General. Presently Dr. Gray Ballinger is my Primary care physician she is so sweet, caring, invest in her patient, devoted and go into details what is best for your situation. Her personality is outstanding, easy going, pleasant , amazing , polite I can go on and on.The best I ever!!
Why are all the hospitals in NYC so terrible?? Came here at 9 pm left at 3:30Am had to wait 6 hours for an X-ray and just to get some pills. We get charged for 5 star services in American hospitals and get third world level treatment. This has been my experience at every hospital I have been to. I’m not sure which crackhead argues that we have expensive healthcare but better quality.
I made an appointment for the booster shot today at 10am. Got here around 9:20am by the atrium, and the security guard told me I have to wait on a super long line even with an appointment. So you gotta stand there with people who are doing walk-ins and wait. From time to time you’ll see a man with a grey suit pulling people inside the building. Make sure when you get closer to the building on the line to talk to him, he brings those with appointments into the building to speed up the process if you have the appointment. (If not you’re gonna wait a really long time). After you get inside, you have to wait on another line to register. You’re gonna give the lady your covid card and id and show your appointment time. From there she’s gonna ask you some questions like address, email, etc and tell you to sign to get the $100 booster (will be sent to your home via postal mail)Afterwards, she’s gonna give you a paper that you need to fill out. (Make sure to bring a pen) and while you fill out the paper, you gotta wait on another line to get into the vaccine booth.Once you get inside, you’ll see chairs and they tell you to continue moving along the seats as patients are called into the booth to get the shots.Getting the shot is really fast and the nurse is super nice.Afterwards you go towards the Christmas tree and give the lady your form and wait. She gives water and a bag (with hand sanitizer inside)I waited over 2 hours with an appointment. And I’m sure those who did walk in had to wait even longer. When I left I saw a guy who was standing in front of me doing a walk in still waiting on the first line. I would recommend doing appointments.
The staff is very rude and aggressive. I asked for a pen and was laughed at by two women bullies that worked there. And a big aggressive jerk , raised his voice at me because he thought I brought food for the patient, buy it was just a bag of paper towels. And the hospital looks dirty, especially in the ER. They made the patient sit there for 7 hours with out drink or bathroom. When he was brought up to room, the nurses assistant said he smelled.
After walking into this place I was abused by a nurse and sat there for 8 hrs. I had a broken wrist and needed stitches on my face. So they decided to transport me to Elmhurst because they have a trauma center. QHC cant fix broken bones or do stitches? Now I am stuck with an $1900.00 ambulance bill after the insurance paid for the ride to Elmhurst. A real nightmare.
I had my first baby in this hospital, all the nurses and doctors were very good people and kind to me. When I gave birth, the nurses treated me with so much love that I didnt want to leave the hospital. My son was born premature and had to spend 4 weeks in the NICU, all the nurses were very nice to us. If I still lived in NY, I would still go to this hospital without hesitation.
I took my son with severe pains. And as soon as I put and sat him down he didnt wait. Not more than 15 minutes to go in to be checked they were great. They took care of him right there in the floor they gave him his medication. The only thing that took a little long was getting him to a room besides that. We had a good experience with the hospital.
Awful... smh why all the hospitals in Queens Suck!!! I been in the ER for 5 hrs for kidney stones. The wait sucked, and then they had me in a chair the whole time... in the back... no bed... gave me IV for fluids... still sitting in the back of ER... they gave me pain meds... no one ran test and left me in corner all night. Then I couldnt leave until they register me in the system which I thought they did when I first got there.... i didnt goto to Jamaica hospital because of the bad rep... so I came here..: this place sucks too
No matter what happened. Don’t come here. You will prolly die by the time someone will come and check you. I had to wait 4 hours just to get my staple out. Please go to your personal doc or city MD or somewhere where they really care about you. In queens hospital they just don’t give a F.
THE MOST HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER LIVED AS A HUMAN BEING. THEY HAVE NO EMPATHY TOWARDS THE PATIENT AND MUCH LESS TOWARDS THE PATIENTS COMPANION. JUST FOR MAKING A COMPLAINT THAT THEIR NURSE LEFT THE BATHROOM DIRTY AND DID NOT WANT TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY, THEY TOOK US OUT AFTER 16 DAYS WITH LIES THAT THEY HAD NEVER SEEN ME STAY AND THAT I COULD NOT STAY, THAT I HAD TO LEAVE THE HOSPITAL AND THAT THEY DIDNT CARE ABOUT ANYTHING. ALL THE STAFF ON THE 4TH FLOOR ARE RACIST PEOPLE WITHOUT TACT. THEY ONLY WORK TO EARN A PAYMENT, THEY DO NOT WORK WITH RESPECT FOR THE PATIENT. REMOVING THE PATIENTS FAMILY MEMBER BECAUSE THE FAMILY MEMBER USED THE BATHROOM IN THE ROOM WHEN THE CLEANING IS TERRIBLE. WE HAD TO CLEAN THE TOILET TO BE ABLE TO USE IT, AS WELL AS SEVERAL OF THE BATHROOMS LIKE THOSE IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM AND DIFFERENT AREAS OF THE HOSPITAL.
Dr. Shazna and Dr. Aurangzeb were amazing! They paid close attention to me and treated me with utmost care. Highly recommend Queens Hospital!
I wish I could of not given a star but it’s the only way to post how horrible and disgusting these staff are, especially the The ones form Trinidad and Tobago , they are Lilke pigs in there , a little position they have and they feel like they working in-the White House …these ppl have NO compassion, they are in the wrong field of work , they don’t know how to politely speak to patients with kindness and compassion……anywhere in-the world Trinidadians are they have the same Nasty attitude!!! It’s a Hospital for God sake , sick people go there it’s not like we going to a club or something ….
The must horrible hospital with a pharmacy. No system what so ever. People wait for hours. People make their own line, cut the line. People whove been waiting and sitting for their name to be called, arent getting called. Their being cut be people pushing their wait to the window. You ask the Asian lady in the back, she said she cant do nothing or create a system. You guys have to do better. Everyone is frustrated who sits
I been so many time here with my wife. OB DEPARTMENT was very good all nurses are awesome and very helpful but (pavilion dependent )for new born ….stuffs are no good check in counter rude. Not helpful. Their answer is I don’t know. There is a financial constraint room that guy very very rude. And for another help I spoke with person name berbarah she was shouting why you call meeeee. So rude
The nurses make this hospital. The doctors are absent and unreachable on the 5th floor where Mom was admitted. Family members must advocate for their family members care. But, once again, the nurses are kind, compassionate, professional, and experienced. Namely nurse Mason, Ingrid, Basy, and Ramnauth. Thank you for advocating and caring for my Mom post stroke.
This hospital is outright corrupt and terrible. My grandfather who has kidney disease and diabetes was here due to an infection in his blood via the fistula on his arm. He was here for one week (April 10th-April 17th) and each and every time you asked questions, you were met with confusing statements. They did not have a vascular doctor here for A WEEK. They claimed the doctor would be here on Tuesday, April 16th and it was now Wednesday, April 17th. They didn’t even willingly take him to do dialysis until we started to repeatedly ask them. Multiple doctors claimed they would transfer him to Bellevue Hospital but this never happened. Finally, seeing as though there were no steady improvements, we decided to discharge him ourselves and take him to another hospital. The doctors claimed that he should not leave due to the fact that he could pass away on his way to another hospital and they only started making up excuses as they noticed we were upset. The fistula was bleeding black blood that morning, and they never mentioned that he could possibly be developing sepsis. At this point, he was screaming with pain and the bump on the fistula was protruding. When we took him to North Shore University Hospital, they informed us that my grandfather could have passed away in two days if we hadn’t brought him in…in fact, the infection was so bad that he could have had multiple organ failures. He was already showing some symptoms of this. He was supposed to have a higher dosage of antibiotics as well. The doctor said that he has to be on antibiotics for SIX WEEKS because of the medical maltreatment of Queens Hospital Center. Also, this same fistula that was done on his arm at Queens Hospital Center in the Spring of 2023, ruined his arm to the point that he’s not able to use that arm, as it is numb a lot of the time. The doctors and nurses at this hospital are not transparent whatsoever and do not care about the patients or their needs. Essentially, the doctors and staff at Queens Hospital Center just wanted to leave him here to suffer and eventually die.
First time came to queens hospital center medical clinic it was very good experience with the Clark mis persaud dhanwanti and also the Dr I saw today thank you
They dont deserve any star,my son was there, and was discharge a day after he was worse than before had to take him to Jamaica hospital ,and had to be incubated, despite all of this bad reviews, the hospital is not going to do anything to improve, or answer this horrible reviews.
I would give 0 stars if I could. The radiologist in the women’s clinic was very unpleasant, rude and unprofessional. She should not be doing her job if she doesn’t like it. That’s not the way to talk to patients.
Worst hospital ever. The floor is incredibly dirty. The janitor must have died. The dentist is a noob and messed up when cleaning my teeth. They take forever to take care of customers. And they imprison you in a small room until they are ready to take care of you.
I’d give 0 stars if i could. one of them grown nurses needs to get her act together and stop having attitude with patients.
It is a great experience, my family got a vaccine here including boost shot. They are all kind and perfectly directed us.So I will recommend this hospital.
COVID booster was fast, efficient and friendly. Injection nurse answered my questions; directions and wait afterwards were a great job by Wahida Mahnan!
I can confidently say this is my first and last time ever going to this Emergency Room. I am still shocked that I waited OVER 7 hours just to be seen by a doctor in the ER. It is completely unacceptable and if I hadn’t started complaining during hour 6… they would’ve been glad to continue wasting my time. I had severe chest pain and have been congested along with other symptoms. The nurses ran some tests and that part went smoothly. People who came into the ER 4-5 hours after me were being seen by doctors and given a bed while I sat there in a chair just waiting. The staff has no sense of urgency. In retrospect I should’ve just laid on the floor and rolled around to get their attention. It was such a heartbreaking experience and they literally do not care. I regret going there but lesson learned. I picked that hospital because I saw there was a 4 star rating on Google but I promise you, it’s not accurate. The ER deserves less than a star.
They charge almost $900 for an ER fee, and you still have to wait five to six hours. Imagine someone bleeding who has to wait like that for six hours? Please do not come to this ER.
I would like to take this time to let the supervisor from queens hospital know that Iwas very thankful that they have people like Ms Persaud ,Dhanwanti that is very helpful. thank you so much .
Ok, My Auntie Kim have go to ER. I try Calling the ER. Someone pick up the Phone and Hang up. Like 5 times. Queens General Hospital, I PRAY AND HOPE MOUNT SINAI HOSPITAL, TAKE OVER UR HOSPITAL!
Worst experience ever. Staff need to be trained on how to speak and behave with patients. Work ethics are very low. I suggest the hospital invests in good employees or a good training facility where they teach their employees how to behave at their work place. I would NEVER recommend anyone to come to this hospital. They DO NOT care about patients they’re more invested in playing around with each other. Also, when my father was vomiting all the nurse walked away instead of providing him with a bucket. Oh and don’t forget the stained sheets there too. Apparently they are “washed”.
Horrible hospital man my dad went here on September 11th and he had kidney failure and stayed here into September 27 I believe? I dunno but man wth? He literally left the hospital the cops went after him but didnt catch him but the fact they didnt even bother to call my mom and say something let it known at night my mom found out and since we were in CT with her family we didnt know if he home or not so my mom call the cops and looked for him but fun fact he was infort of the hospital and didnt let him in he had to himself in and dont get started on how he has high blood pressure, btw I said he had kidney failure right? Well guess what they let him eat anything he wanted he went o another hospital and give him an list of food he shouldnt eat.. Horrible hospital
Absolutely the worst hospital in Queens. If you ever have an emergency do not come here. Waited extremely long time, the front desk is extremely unprofessional, they have zero manners. Came here with an urgent emergency and the two men on the desk said to take a number. They have no regards of anyone’s situation. If I could give no stars I would. DO NOTCOME HERE!
I have been experiencing back pain for 4 years now, health team refuses to listen to my complaints. I have been asking for an MRI as they insist that my X-rays are “normal” I will continue to advocate for my own health as they continue to refuse services, they are not there to help anyone, they make patients wait for months before giving referrals. People will die before they actually help anyone.
One of the worst hospital in NYC. Nurses don’t care about patients & let’s not forget, how slow they are. Podiatry clinic are very shady & is all about juicy the insurance. Those podiatrist doesn’t not care about patient & would do anything to make it lead to amputation because that is their goals.More money for them. DO NOT GO TO THE PODIATRIST CLINIC HERE.
Let’s start off by me saying I never write reviews but I feel this one was much needed. I go in to the ER because I had shortness out of breath, pain in my ribs and middle back. I wait for over 6 hours, without painkillers. I was patient due to nurses being busy but I couldn’t with my pain. To make my story short I went through 3 nurses, all three ignore me after being polite and asked them for a follow up and medication. It took 3 people to acknowledge how bad my pain was, I demand to be discharged because according to the nurse (who was sarcastically nice) the doctor was on a phone call. Doctor never came to speak to me regarding my ct scans. Horrible! Please don’t come here for ER it takes for you to be lucky to get a “nice nurse” or “doctor”. Idk how this hospital has 4 stars. I’m always told “emergency room is if you are dying” mind you I’ve been in so much pain and based on the CT reports I have a nodule on my lung. That’s how much they don’t care! I rather die in my bed than coming to this hospital ever again.
My last experience being a Queens Hospital wasnt that good but this time I must say they could 10 Stars especially the staff nurses and doctors onB-4 West theSurgery floor they were so loving and kind and made me feel unafraid the doctors figured out what was wrong right away it made me feel better even the people that took me to x-ray was so loving and attentive even the people that did the X-ray Im not going to lie to you Queens Hospital has made a 100% turn around as far as staff and the quality of care. The only thing that I can say that could eat you some help is the emergency room and let them learning how to put in an IV on get blood other than that my stay was perfect thank you Queens Hospital.. Mrs King
This hospital is pathetic they dont do the jobs the pharmacy workers should be fired expect 4 hr wait for your medication, but the bill comes before the service. No hospitality or skilled doctors.
I was there for 8 hours, no treatment, very poor treatment, in my whole stay I didn’t even meet the doctor, please avoid this place and scam
Worst hospital ever , long waiting’s in all department - staff are very rude …..very disorganized…. This hospital definitely needs a change in leadership. My cousin just gave birth - the nurses are rude in the labor and delivery and not to mention the postpartum appointments is a huge waiting…..would not recommend this to anyone……
Not sure if leaving a review will change anything about the way these people treat patients here. This hospital needs a more thorough system to get their patients taken care of in a more decent time. It took 3 hours for them to take my temperature and urine. Once the nurse in the pink shoes did, she left my urine on the floor and proceeded to leave the room. After 1 hour another nurse approached me saying I have to pee again because my urine was nowhere to be found. What a way to waste people’s time. This hospital used to be one of the good ones, now it’s just like Elmhurst hospital, the worst.
UPDATE(7/10/23) (I followed up with my doctor today and she was equally as LIVID as I was that the hospital disregarded my needs. I was still infected, they only prescribed me half one medication that I actually needed. Which means that from the moment I walked in to the hospital and very explicitly told them the problem they did not diagnose me correctly and wasted my time immensely. She took one look at me during my exam and easily diagnosed my infection and empathized with the fact that I was in immense pain because of this hospitals incompetence. )I am a pregnant patient who walked in, in intense pain, barely able to walk from an infection. I waited from 5:47am -2:52pm for results. I was not seen or evaluated by a doctor until my third hour there. I was also not given pain medicine until my fourth hour there, even though I asked for pain meds as soon as I walked through the door. They allegedly put me in the Acute Fast Track and I still had to wait. No one communicated to me when there was a shift change and no nurses introduced themselves to me or checked in with me until I got up and asked about the shift changes. They kept switching my hospital bed number, and failed to communicate with me that the ultra sound people didnt arrive/open shop until 9am. When I asked for help, there was a nurse who was was rude to me at the nurses station when I simply asked is there anyone else who could help me with discharge paperwork and in the middle of the conversation she says i dont know and walked away from me, then started talking about me to another nurse in a different language while staring me down. The lack of communication really was ridiculous. Their system of clearing out patients was also ineffective. There were no boards or signs that explained or communicated the wait times for example X- Rays, CAT Scans, UltraSounds, etc, and I was only told the answers to theses questions when I asked EXPLICITLY. Im a sickly individual and have been so most of my life. this was by far my worse ever experience at a hospital ever. They truly need to evaluate better systems, invest in better communication technology such as tools used at Upstate Hospital, and retrain staff to not only communicate better but to also train people to have human decency.
Dedicated, compassionate, caring, professional right across the board. Its clean and no hospital smell
I must be in a different ER from all those 1 star reviews people are posting. EMS took my mother here after she passed out at home on a Saturday night. She was triaged and went thru a battery of tests (CAT, X-ray, blood, urine, etc) within the first two hours that found an urgent medical condition we weren’t even aware of. She was shuttled to an ICU bed less than two hours later.Everyone on the staff here from the first triage nurse we saw to the ER nurse/doctors and ICUnurses and specialist doctors were super friendly and patient in answering our questions, a much better experience than what I had at NY Presbyterian
Im general the care is great. However, even though my surgeon, the pain management team, my anesthesiologist, and my PC doctor all discussed and agreed on a safe effective post surgery pain control plan, as soon as they leave the inexperienced, moronic, night docs take over.Every morning for 17 days, while in agony, I fought to get proper meds restored, every evening the sadistic night docs would cut me off again. They even stopped meds I had been taking for stress for years b4 I came to hospital.Just say no means just say yes to near unbearable pain. So 5 stars for actually pre care and surgery, 1 star for recovery. If I could have got up and left I would have. Even after a phone conservations between my real doctors and the night staff, where I heard night doc agree to restore my meds, the lying sadist took me off again. When I was released, they gave me my last dose of greatly reduced pain meds B4 midnight, so when I started a 3 months inpatient rehab, I got no meds at first, because the policy is to continue with meds you received that day - not b4 midnight the day before.Cant be happier with procedure and staff but when sun goes down the monsters really do come out.
This hospital has gone to the dogs, they do not care for there patients doctors take one look at you and assume they know why your there. The Neurologist team really need to be reviewed again Dr. S Naqvi, is rude arrogant and one of the worst doctors I have ever met. He does not even examine you he looks at you as if you are a joke. Disgusting
Made a beautiful healthy little girl, the hospital on a whole deserves a 10 they always kept my room clean, they check on u every 5 minutes. The nurses are friendly and helpful the doctors are very patient and they answers all your questions on the spot. Over all I would recommend this place anytime or any day. And yes I’m still does my regular check ups here. Only thing is that it’s full of people everyday.
I had very bad experience with the nurse services. My daughter got food poisoning she vomited so much that we have to took her to the hospital 05/20/23 around 3:45 a.m to 4:00 a.m doctor was ok but on duty nurse was very disrespectful , very rude and unprofessional. My daughter had her eyes closed and her mouth half open and the nurse told my daughter “why you look like a dead person” I can’t believe she would say this to a 11 year old weak child who’s unable to move. My poor girl was telling her I was vomiting 11 times since 10 pm to 3am not feeling good Hospital management needs to give staff more training .
It take 12 hours for my kids get discharge not only that never any doctor or nurs come to us I have to go to them find all update ,doctor not polide.
One time I was in the emergency room and one of the workers rang up my debit card to $900 and they also stoled my smartwatch. In the psychiatric emergency room the lady Indian Dr overdosed me with 2mg of Ativan knowing that I only weigh 87lbs. They had a medical emergency on the psychiatric unit when I was brought upstairs because I wasnt waking up and the nurse took my blood pressure and it was 50/30 which is very low. One time I was on the psychiatric emergency room and I was sleeping and they carried me to another room because I was on one to one because I was a fall risk and the staff had to take me to the bathroom. The staff should be fired the Bhas and the Haitian male black nurse that ordered the move and he was part of picking me up. Im disgusted that they kept me in the psychiatric emergency room for four days. The staff shouldnt do that.
Very easy to navigate where I needed to go. Came in for my vaccine & staff were super nice with the exception of registration. The woman who asked for my ID & proof of insurance was not helpful, she ignored me and wouldn’t even lean over to collect my documents. The nurse, support staff and even security guards were all super nice. They pointed me in the correct direction and we’re all calm and professional. I felt like I was in caring hands which is supper important to me whenever my health is concerned.
Terrible hospital! I was in the ER then transferred. They missed my spinal tap( so painful). The Neurologist forgot to put the order in for my very first MS transfusion( I had to take the day off with no pay) and I had an appointment made by the doctor. Then once I reschedule for another appointment once they have the medication they call me the day before to say they never took my blood and it’s required. After weeks of me waiting nobody decided to check to see if anything was missing. So unorganized, and unprofessional!! They have no consideration!
Worst hospital experience ever. My mother went in with pain and swelling, we waited hours just to be given Tylenol. Finally she was put into a “room” they stuck her in a corner with all the drunk people of the day which might explain the lack of care. Anyways she had blood drawn and ct scan done just to wait 3 more hours (when I finally asked for an update) for them to tell us tests came back fine but doctor needed a specialist to look into it. Her blood was drawn 3 times and every time it took 3 hours or me to have to ask for an update. Nurses were never present due to “huddles” 90% of the staff partook in for over an hour. And if nurses were on the floor they were socializing or talking really loud and joking around right outside our “door”. I also had to go around asking for food and water for my mother because no one ever offered or checked in on her. Horrible experience never going back again.
Came here with my dad to the ER. IMO the RNs and other medical staff move quick. The only thing I see is they are kind of roudy, they are kind of sloppy, and the one thing that made me the most uncomfortable is watching this one RN that was the most active. She looked to me like she has tremendous experience except, she doesnt wear the rubber gloves and lays medicine and needles on any surface. This is not ok with me.
Went here for my COVID vaccination -- I didnt know what to expect -- it was an excellent experience! Every staff member I interacted with was efficient, friendly, caring and helpful. The whole process was seamless -- everything was well set up, and there were always staff members on hand to answer questions, put you at ease, and point you in the right direction. Everything was spotless. I cant say enough about how friends and helpful everyone was -- from the greeter to the person who checked me in. to the nurse who gave me my shot -- THE BEST. My sincere thanks to everyone who works there and provides us with this important service.
If youre reading this and thinking of using Queens ER , dont come !!!Your health and well-being are of no concern to these hospital staff. I have been here for the past 1 hour and 45 minutes, and I see the staff inside chit chatting and calling people here and there while we have barely 9 people in the room in pain waiting to be seen.I had come because of severe pain in the left shoulder and chest, but to see this lack of care, its just mind-boggling.I am told by one of the people waiting that this is a city hospital and its very normal because they love to do less here. They said if it wasnt an emergency, they would have gone to Jamaica Hospital or LIJ hospital.I am so disappointed 😞 seeing how these staff operate, and unfortunately no upper management to ensure these staff dont just sit in the seat and scroll through their cell phone for 15min after seeing each patient.
I loved the care I got during my maternity stay. I had emergency C section and how they treated me for those 3/4 days during pandamic, I wouldnt forgot the rest of my life. Each and every nurse was very caring. Also the nurses from NICU were very professional and caring.
Queens Hospital Center was such a disrespectful, ignorant & careless experience. RN Anthony King disregarded my girlfriends information about not injecting her arm, but her hand because it was easier due to her chemo. He tried her arm anyway twice, failed AND left her in the sheets with her blood stains for over 4 hours and never gave us new ones. He never even cleaned her blood off of her arm, I DID because nobody would help when we asked. It wasnt until I STARTED CLEANING HER ARM that they sent a Resident. I was also laughed at by a nurse after I asked her how to get to the bathroom. When I walked away, she said to another nurse See him? He cant even find the bathroom walking around like a chicken with his head cut off then they laughed. Then when I bought all these things to the attention of the front desk of the ED, they sent a cop over quietly to remove me by lying and saying visiting hours were over, when it was only 6:40pm on a Thursday. At the end of the 12 HOURS WE SPENT THERE, instead of giving us the discharge papers, they came with a urine sample cup for her and never even fed her. Queens Center Hospital genuinely didnt care about us enough for simple mutual respect. Well never go there again because we cant even trust them.
Wait times in this ER are atrocious. Last year my husband had a severe panic attack. NINE HOURS we were there. This year was worse. And they constant want to do scans, even if they have been done before a day earlier.
On Saturday, February 6, 2021, I went to the Queens Hospital Center to receive my first shot of the vaccine. I was directed to the main part of the hospital and met with courteous guards who took my temperature and told me where to go. I had never been in this building before and thought it was spacious and airy and beautiful. There was a lot of activity but everything was well organized. I waited on line to check on my registration and the lady behind the desk was very considerate and patient with my questions and answered all of them. I was given a card by her indicating that my second vaccine shot would be on February 27. She even gave me a complimentary bottle of hand sanitizer! I went on the next line for the shot and chatted with Mohammed, a hospital employee who was monitoring the line. I marveled at how kind and pleasant he was with everyone who came up to him. He was such a gentleman! Extremely professional and it was pleasure to talk to him and certainly made me feel welcome. I also was greeted by hospital employee Karen who was also very gracious! It was not too long before I was seated in the area waiting to be called in and we rotated chairs as we waited and I noted how they cleaned and wiped down the clip boards, pens, desks etc. I got called in and received my injection and it was painless. I was sent to an observation area for 15 minutes and was checked on often for any side effects and then told to go home. I had a wonderful experience and told many friends that the only place to go for their vaccine was Queens Hospital Center! They were wonderful!
I had probably the best vaccination experience I’ll ever have at this hospital. The staff was so friendly and everything was well organized. The nurse who gave me my injection was great and really made me feel at ease. They even gave us little handwritten notes to say thanks for getting vaccinated!! If you haven’t gotten your COVID vaccine yet I definitely suggest doing it here.
Gross!!¡!!! I would give five + stars to the caring, Dr and wonderful nurse Nicole. I guess thats what counts the most in the ER. ... but the hospital itself is awful. If youre looking for a clean, sanitary, somewhat peaceful Emergency Room. This is DEFINITELY NOT it!!!!! When you walk in the door Im willing to bet every single person at one time or another debates whether to stay or run the f away. Its thats bad. You take a number like the deli counter and hope and pray they call you soon. Which for me was about 45 minutes. I was in excruciating pain so that 45 minutes seemed like 3 hours. The front desk intake staff are certainly not in a good mood, yet they get all the screaming and yelling patients so i cant fault them too much. From what I gather this is the go-to hospital for inmates, local precincts and correction facilities. A lot of patients are handcuffed to their beds, while a bunch others are being brought in by uniformed officers. In that regard i felt safe ,-) . Its just insanely busy. Non stop. All the beds are packed and turned over fast fast. The bathrooms are beyond gross. I tried 3 and all 3 had pee on the floor, stunk so bad and seemed grimy all around. They seem understaffed and way over crowded. I honestly thought there were bodies laying in the back, wrapped in sheets, but they explained to me that people with mental health issues wrap themselves and stay like that. I am still verrrryyyy unsure of that. I saw no movement and they were wrapped relatively well. Id like to forget about that part since the reality might trigger nightmares. The staff really were nice. They did their very best under the circumstances. I absolutely appreciate the care. Its just run very poorly. The staff were exhausted running from bed to bed with no reprieve. As much as i loved them, i wouldnt go back to this ER again. Good luck with anyone reading this that is in need of a good Emergency Room. ❤️🙏🤗❤️🙏❤️🤗❤️🙏
Amazing experience! I received all three of my shots (Pfizer 1&2, along with the Pfizer booster) here, and I was not let down. The wait time was short, staff were friendly, and everything was seamless. Specifically, the RN Wahida Mahnan was extremely helpful, professional, and had amazing bedside manner. I am so thankful for her!
It’s the worst ER. Please avoid it if you can. My wife was pregnant and we waited 2 hours to get registered and front staffs are rude; waited another 2 hours inside, nobody came to see. We left the ER after that. Absolutely terrible place…
Went to the emergency room. My fiancé had an allergic reaction to seafood. We didn’t know what to expect from this allergy. His whole body was red, he was hot and had body aches. The waiting time was long, the staff in the waiting room had a nasty attitude, didn’t care about the patients and the security was the worst. The security requested that only patients stayed in the room, however he allowed some to stay and some not to. The rule should be the same for everyone not for some. Also, how is a patients whole body red and they just make him wait ?! Careless… no sense of urgency
Just got my first dose of the vaccine. It was a easy and quick experience. All the nurses and staff were friendly and very detailed when not only explaining the dose but also how to get to the vaccination site. Everything was smooth and very friendly. I would definitely recommend this hospital. Very professional.
This hospital is very slow, way to much staff just walking around for patients not to be seen. I arrived at the hospital at 11:30 and didn’t get seen for a CT scan until 4 o clock. I would never go here again or recommend anybody to go here even on their death bed
A warning for everyone, think twice before going to this hospital. I went to ER and had the worst ever experience. First of all they took my bag saying that patients aren’t allowed to have their bags and belongings with them and those should be in a locker. They opened my bad and checked out everything without my permission. I had my personal money they touched that too. Another thing, when I asked for water they didn’t give me, instead they kept passing orders one to another. After an hour when I complained they behaved poorly. Such a horrible place.
Thank you to Karin Czavar for your kindness and professionalism. Thanks to Karin my husband and I received our vaccines without a hitch. We were very impressed with the hospital and staff. Everyone was so helpful and made us feel relaxed. The line moved pretty quick and the second dose was even faster. Thank you Karin.
I received my booster shot a few days ago from this location. The process went smoothly and every employee was very helpful in guiding me through the steps. I did have an appointment, but it took me about 40 minutes for everything. I would come here again to get another vaccine if needed.
Great doctors horrible receptionists. Emergency care experience was fantastic all around. Going to the clinic post surgery, everyone who is at the receptionist desk always has an attitude and is very nasty. I don’t understand how you speak to patients in this manner. The doctors/ residents are great. It just makes the experience even worse than it already is when there’s such negativity. I came late to an appointment that I had to leave work early for, take a bus, 2 trains and an Uber just to try to make it to my appointment. The receptionist says I’m late and tries to lecture me on it. Is me being late mean that I cannot be seen or will I be seen what it comes down to because sitting there and lecturing me on it does nothing I know I’m late, it was raining and lots of traffic I don’t need to be lectured on it. On a previous visit the receptionist blatantly yelled at me for asking for my appointment papers with a huge attitude. I just don’t understand how you can treat patients like this. It’s absolutely unprofessional.
Got the COVID vaccine today in this hospital and everything went very very smoothly. Everyone in the staff was proactively approaching patients to ensure everyone is adequately and promptly guided. Instructions were very clear and services were very fast. It only took 15min. from the time I arrived until the vaccine was administered to me. Total time was only 30min. including the waiting time for any adverse side effects after the vaccine administration, and I had none 😁. Thank you Queens Hospital Center NYC!!!
I went to call to make an appointment and find out if they accept LA care or medical. The lady that answered the phone didnt even wait for me to be ready for the number, she told me then she hung up on me before i can reply. I called back and they do not answer anymore. Whoever the lady was, I hope you have a better day. Cause thats no way to get treated.
My grandfather was discharged a few days. I spoke to a few nurses before I left the hospital confirming his medications and his pharmacy. I was the told by the pharmacist yesterday nothing was sent in, call the hospital. Ive been on the phone all day yesterday and today with no help. I keep getting put on hold, hanged up on, and disconnected with no call back. Horrible services while he was admitted and even after being discharged. Finally got through with a nurse and was given attitude, not given a chance to explain myself, transferred again, eventually hung up on. Mind you my grandfather is a stroke patient who is no longer able to walk. They do not deserve even half a star in my opinion.
I booked my appointment through MyChart application. Was able to find multiple time slots for the same day. Registration was quick and flawless. No lines. The nurse was very kind and professional. I had good fast experience which rear for NYC hospital trip
Worst HOSPITAL I EVER BEEN TOOO NEVER AGAIN THESE PEOPLE LOOK LIKE THEY HATE THEY JOBS AND JUST WALK AROUND LOOKING OUT OF IT NEVER AGAIN !!!!
Came here for my booster shot everyone were kind and very helpful however one front desk agent who asked for my insurance card, ID card was very rude giving me an unpleasant look she was very kind of rude to me for no apparent reason other than that my experience was very great everything went very well and smoothly, the nurse who gave me the vaccine was very kind I was very nervous/anxious about getting vaccinated however she ensured me that everything will be okay. I highly recommend getting vaccinated.
This was one of the worst experiences I’ve EVER had in my LIFE I can’t believe the negligence that took place in a facility that’s supposed to care for your medical needs I was treated so badly by one of the nurses that works the night shift. She mistreated me both nights her name is Margaret I was ringing the bell for assistance repeatedly because they wouldn’t assist me. I waited over 30 mins each time I pressed the bell for assistance then when she finally came to my room she said to me that She has other patients who are in more critical condition then I am and that I was stable enough to wait I couldn’t believe what I was hearing!!! She then never plugged my ekg nor the blood pressure cuff back on and told me I can do it myself. I will NEVER EVER recommend this hospital to anyone unless you want to get treated like garbage
The only real 5 star rating is on parking and even thats a BIG lie. Started my prenatal care and youre treated more like a number than anything else. Constantly waiting extended amounts of time for a scheduled appointment. Had my gestational test which ended up taking more like 6 hours scheduled for 10 didnt leave until after 3, was starving that whole day. No one holds anyone accountable in the maternity side. Run arounds. And to simply get my records was like pulling teeth for the next two months, you wouldve thought I was begging them for money and not my OWN records.
Everyone is so kind, helpful, and professional! I was nervous at first to get my first dose of the covid vaccine but I got the help I needed effectively and efficiently. Thank you so much to all the essential workers working in this hospital. Your hard work does not go unnoticed!! 😁
Didn’t know what to expect coming here but ever single person we interacted with from the staff was pleasant, patient, helpful and professional. This was first thing on a Monday morning too, to put things into perspectiveOur Dr. Jean was very informative and did not seem rushed whatsoever.
I received my second dose of the vaccine last week through the vaccine clinic at Queens hospital. All the staff were very nice, friendly and helpful. Being in a wheelchair, I was nervous about entering and exiting among a large crowd of people, but the staff guided me promptly and efficiently. Will recommend everyone to get their vaccine at this clinic!
From the moment I walked in, the security guard was friendly, the registration was easy, the nurses and Kaitlyn who put my shot! So organized and clean!! I feel good and grateful getting my shot at this place. Thank you to the vaccine team! Appreciate you and what you all do.
Ive to give it up to the little Asian nurse that works the night shift at the emergency front desk aka check in desk. I didnt get a chance to look at her name tag but if she ever sees this (she took the soup for my mom) YOURE ARE AMAZING. She does a wonderful job. She treats everyone with respect, care, kindness and warmth etc. Always willing to help. Due to covid I could go inside to see my mom but every time I went there to drop food or something she was always so willing to help every step of the way and I cant thank her enough. She clearly loves her job and it shows. If you guys ever meet her, youll feel the love and warmth. An abundance of sweet kindness. Just the warmth and comfort that people need. Thank you so much little miss lady for all that you did for us. We appreciate the love and kindness most importantly. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤May God bless you .🤗🤗🤗
Got the vaccine here and the staff worked quickly, was in and out and everyone took care of me in a very professional manner. Loved the nurse that gave me the vaccine she was so funny and sweet. Also, I was born here so 10/10 would recommend!
The PA was very dismissive. My pain was 8/10 exhaling and 9/10 inhaling. I told her I felt liquid in my chest, and I was having difficulty breathing. Once I told her the pain started when a doctor injected me in my back for pain management. She dismissed my concerns and just told me to check that up with my primary doctor. They cleared me for “life-threatening” diagnoses, but I’m here because I’m in pain. Now I have to wait 3 weeks until I get seen by a PCP.Additionally, during my wait a pregnant lady comes in eventually she wanted someone to refill her IV fluids and the nurse said that the pregnant lady can get up and do it herself. The pregnant lady, start yelling saying she want to change her nurse and the nurse just told her to shut up. I was in disbelief how a lot of these doctors and nurse don’t care.
When I received my first vaccine, I felt blessed with how wonderful everyone I came into contact with was. Literally, EVERYONE. Thought that I was just having a lucky day. Once I came in for the second dose and experienced the same wonderful treatment from everyone again. Thank you Michelle Mcdonald, Lisa Hall and everyone else for making this experience effortless. Much love!!!!
This is one of the best hospitals in New York City. The staff is wonderful and the process was expedited and very organized. The first dose I had to wait hours to get only because there were so many people scheduled for the vaccine. The second dose process was very quick, I was out in 30 minutes. Thank you!
I had an excellent experience getting my booster COVID shot. The wait time was very short, staff were extremely friendly, and everyone made sure everything was done very quickly. A huge shout out to Wahida Mahnan, who was incredibly helpful in guiding me and my mom to get our shots!!!! Her kindness is what made everything better.
It was an efficient and simple procedure. ALL hospital staff were kind to guide people getting their first dose of the vaccine clear directions where to go and the process. The nurse was clear, considerate of patients, and administeted the vaccine in a professional level, giving reminders and precautions clearly before administration. The whole process took all of less than 30 minutes (including the observation period). Please get the vaccine and believe in the science.
This place is completely disgusting. The bathrooms, the walkways, the patient rooms, they are all filthy and nasty. The nurses have really long plastic nails on their fingers, that dig into your skin and cut you, when they try to do bloodwork. If you tell them about it, the insult you back, and tell you how you are uneducated. The same nurse pushed my mother down accidentally wjen my mother was walking to the bathroom. The doctor initially refused to take a report on the nurses. I had to beg him to call the charhe nurse l, so she can take a report.
A bit confusing, was misdirected 5 times regarding the vaccination area. The registration lady just stared at me for 5 mins before another patient walked up to the window. She couldve told me to walk up but of course didnt because why would she want to do her job right? Anyway other than that a fairly quick and painless procedure.Dont be discouraged by the confusing way to get to the vaccination area or the registration ladies lack of enthusiasm to help. Also dont believe the pseudoscience regarding vaccines theyre perfectly safe and its pretty painless, the staff on the other hand not so much, especially that registration lady.
I scheduled my first dose of the vaccine with Zenaida Banzon and Erin Watkins who both assisted me with booking an appointment very fast and easy! All the staff along with the nurse who administered the vaccine were extremely professional and kind! Overall a great experience!!
I don’t really write reviews on Google but I had to! I went to the emergency room because of a allergic reaction and my airways were compromised. I hate going to hospitals but I must say The nurses that took care of me were awesome! They were so reassuring and they made me feel very comfortable.
Good afternoon I want to say thanks to the nurse and doctor at Queens hospital especially Ms persaud,d and Dr Kumar ,s I had an appointment today and wasnt sure what time my appointment was came earlier while waiting for the Dr ms I was hungry Ms persaud give me something to drink and eat im so thankful also the Dr saw me he is very nice I appreciate you guys thanks.i would like to see Dr Kumar again
I had an amazing experience today at the hospital. The COVID vaccine center was amazing. Very organized and efficient. Everyone is kind and helpful. I loved seeing the preferential treatment they gave to seniors. I’ve been waiting since March 2020 for this vaccine. Thank you Karin Czavar for your help and kindness.
My husband received CoVid vaccine on March 7. The process was very organized and quick. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable regarding concerns related to vaccine. The building was clean and provided safe distancing. Amazing patient and family experience.
First visit was not welcoming as I had hoped. Some nurses were great. Others just liked to insinuate and pass judgement whilst trying to hold decorum. I say learn to deal with all people respectfully and with grace not forced cordial engagement.04/03/21Fully vaxxed. Now fingers crossed I dont get sick.04/24/21Seasonal rhinitis and influenza have stroketh again.11/07/21Once I get this congestion over with my booster is on the way👍🏾🤸🏾
6:30am,I’m talking to a pharmacist whose gonna be drawing up the vaccine. It’s nice to meet one of the guys that is making sure our doses are proportioned right. I appreciate you Finny Samuel. Thanks. We were all strangers standing in a line early in the morning. It was nice to see you and Dean talking and explaining things. 5 stars. Nurses were awesome, ready to rock and roll exactly on time. Thank you for making a ridiculously early morning not so horrendous. Lol.
I had a wonderful experience. I came here to get the vaccine shot. I was anxious and a little scared. My fears were calmed as soon as I walked through the hospital doors. The entire process from start to finish was phenomenal. Everything was organized and well executed. All staff that I interacted with was professional, friendly, helpful and kind. Security personnel pointed me in the right direction, which was the line. It moved quickly. There were hospital staff everywhere. Greeting you with a smile, ensuring that we maintained social distancing and answering any questions. The registration process was a breeze. The woman who took care of me at this window was awesome. Her name is Eena. She checked me in and gave me my card with a second appointment date and told me where to go to get the shot. Two more women who were assisting people and mult-tasking in the busy corridor helped me find the door to the area for the vaccine. I was welcomed by Flow Manager, Tara Strother. She was exceptional. Her bubbly personality, aid and charm gave me more courage. I was impressed with the way the staff always verified my information for accuracy. The Nurse that administered the shot was great. I’m sorry I don’t remember her name. I like to express my gratitude when members of a team deserve recognition. The Nurse gave me instructions, I took a seat in the waiting area (the staff there were friendly too) to make sure I didn’t have any reactions and when I was ready I left.
My mom was very sick and we came by car to this hospital, the staff wasgreat and she was taken care of right away with no issues. She was admitted to the hospital and she says the staff was very attentive. overall she was pleased with the service. they did all sorts of tests and she is doing fine. she even had a nurse come to her house once a week.
I don’t Know which E/R A LOT OF FOLKS Talking HERE and with all RESPECT Honestly This Past 2 Weeks I was there on E/R all Staff Members were super attentive and Poor Doctors Running like Crazy to Save and Help patients ❤️🙏🏽 to be honest I was Helped Right away my Life were on the Line and my Life were Saved At Queens General Hospital all Staffs Members from the Ambulance staff Nice & everyone a soon as I got there to E/R as well, Queens General Hospital is a Great place in my Sperience❤️ Thank you Jesús for everyone at Queens General Hospital ❤️🙏🏽
My husband and I got our COVID-19 vaccines at Queens Hospital Center. The process went much smoother than we’d thought. The hospital staff answered all of our questions and alleviated our concerns over the vaccine. The nurses who administered the vaccine were professional and kind. I’m glad we were able to get the vaccine here.
I was so nervous to get my first covid-19 dose but the staff from registration to the post-vaccine observation nurse were all so warm and friendly! The vaccine itself didn’t hurt at all. The hospital was clean and they gave out hand sanitizer and water bottles. I highly recommend!
I will never go here again. It’s too unprofessional and there is no urgency for the patients I rather take a trip to another hospital and pay the Uber fare than to subject myself to the stress you get from being at this hospital.
Queens hospital staff were excellent. I came here to get vaccinated and the process was very efficient and painless. The clerks, nurses, pharmacists were wonderful and made it a pleasant experience. Thank you Gigi, Finny, and all!
Trust me when I tell you, the good reviews are fake. This is the most unorganized hospital I ever been to. Not only are they unorganized they are also careless. They never offered me water or juice when they saw I was dehydrated. I asked for a snack and a drink and they said they didnt have anything. Never again will I step foot in this place. Ill stick to New York prespertaerian
I returned to Queens Hospital Center today, April 1, 2021 to receive my 2nd COVID-19 vaccine shot. I was anticipating a pleasant experience since my first experience was so positive. Needless to say, I was not disappointed. I arrived a little early (8:15 am) and was directed by staff to a designated person for registration. Registration took only 2-3 minutes. I was immediately directed to a nurses station and received my 2nd shot. I am pleased to report the entire process took less than 10 minutes. I want to extend my sincerest thanks to all of the health care professionals who assisted me: from the officer who greeted me at the door, to the gentleman who directed me to the reservation desk and of course, all of the nurses and administrators who are responsible for coordinating this monumental undertaking. Many thanks to: Dr Poulard, Clean Edwards, Neil J Moore, Tricia Roberts and very special thanks to Dr. Carolyn Harvey, Gigi (my vaccination nurse), and her co-worker Chris. I am so grateful to all of you for the personal assistance that I received but also for your service to the community. Your professionalism and health care expertise is a true value to the community. Thank you and congratulations for your success.I received my first vaccine shot yesterday at Queens Hospital Center. Upon entering the building I was concerned with the long line of people waiting to register. I have heard nightmare stories of folks waiting 3-4 hours to receive a shot. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly the line moved. Hospital staff actively ensured social distancing and other protocols. The process was efficient and the staff was professional, responsive and friendly. I will try to get employee names on my follow up visit so that I may thank them publicly. I anticipate a positive experience when I return on April 1st. Will keep you posted.
Horrible hospital , You walk in they don’t even let you explain what’s wrong they just want your id and insurance card , the nurse took me to get a X-ray and left me there. The X-ray tech told me to go back to the waiting room and I didn’t know where to go. People are everywhere on top of you and the bathrooms are unsanitary. They took 1.5 hours to take my vitals and I was waiting there for 5 hours in the waiting room they didn’t even give me a room. Never coming back again !!!
Had my first dose of the covid vaccine here and it was a very smooth and easy process. Everyone was nice and very helpful. Made getting the vaccine easier, especially if you were feeling uneasy about it before.
I had a great experience at this hospital getting my covid vaccine first, second, and booster shots. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially nurse Waheeda Rahman. She was great when I came here for my booster shot!
The receptionist Jenny at Endoscopy was a very polite person. Jenny helped me with any questions I had and made me feel very comfortable before my procedure. A great experience at Queens Hospital.
I received the first dose of my Covid Vaccine here today. The experience was amazing. The nurses a s staff are so nice and walk your through every step. Highly recommend!
When I arrived at QHS for my Covid vaccine I was unsure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised, they were so well organized - no waiting in long lines, super efficient and kind. The waiting area before vaccine was immaculate. Someone was wiping down chairs as soon as someone got up. The nurses who gave the shot made sure it was painless. I’ve now had not my shots and want to give a big SHOUT OUT to QHS. Thank you
I will never take my kids to this emergency again. I took my 2 year old and the doctors and nurses dramatized my child . I was told 2 parents cannot enter because of Covid so why other races were able to take their kids in with both parents and auntie and uncles they give privileges to the ones they feel they can give I am born Guyanese with Indian background why do I get the push around because of my skin color. They had 3 nurses holding down my child twisting his arms and squeezing his mouth to do rectal temperature and give medication. My son was bruised on his arms and mouth and I didn’t wait for another to do so I refuse their treatment then going forward. They are animal in there
In my life I had never seen an emergency room with such poor attention, only a few work and are forced, but the rest are animals, lazy, inhuman. Seriously, they should study car mechanics or blacksmithing and not nursing. Most of them sit at a computer and the patients are left to their own devices, but they also dont let a family member come in to help you. I went with pain in a recent surgery, it was very difficult for me to walk or move because of the pain and I asked 5 nurses for help to go to the bathroom and they ignored me, in the end the doctor helped me 😒 my serum filled with blood, it was filling the container with my blood, I showed it to a lady, who was sitting chatting, her shift had started about 20 minutes ago, she simply told me to hook it myself, IN PAIN, and she did not move a body cell to help me or clean the blood, much less called someone else to do it. That stay was traumatic, painful and torture.
Take forever to help a patient in serve pain ! Always talking to each other instead of doing their job . It’s ridiculous! Every time you ask to see someone it’s you need to wait ! Bad attitude ! Again ridiculous!
Getting the vaccine was a quick and easy task. I didnt complete the form apparently. the staff helped me very quick n easily. the doc was very friendly. the staff n experience was overall very pleasant. I honestly have no complaints.#teamvax
Imagine what you expect in a typical ER, and toss that in the trash when you come here. The staff are extremely disrespectful save for like one or two people. I had a friend who was admitted here after he attempted suicide. After 6 hours in the ER, they admitted him into a Psych Ward with staff that threatened to medicate patients if they didnt comply. I dont know whos bright idea was it to put the suicidal person in the same room as patients with violent tendencies and that scream. The doctor reviewing his case was rude and yelled at him, calling him a liar when he was asking when he was going home. He was more interested in what he took rather than why. He even tried to convince me and his parents that the reason was he was playing too many video games. I couldnt even speak to him since they only allowed like 3 minute phone calls every two hours.Dont come here unless you want to be treated horribly, threatened with drugs, and practically misdiagnosed. This hospital should be shut down immediately.
Had my covid booster shot and the nurse who had administered it was really lovely and pleasant. The shot itself didn’t even take a second. Registration takes a bit time so arrive earlier than scheduled appointment.
I began coming to this hospital when I found out I was pregnant for my checkups. If I could’ve changed it earlier I would have but I tried to give staff and the women’s center the benefit of the doubt. The truth is its a very unprofessional department. During the pandemic, it was not recommended to visit the hospital so calling to speak to a nurse or emailing your physician’s assistant seemed ideal Webber you had a question or concern. However, whenever you called no one ever answered the phone and emails were responded days later. I was placed in the position to travel constantly to hospital to do simple things like reschedule or cancel appointments. During my visits, whenever I needed more than just a checkup I tried to schedule everything for the same day (bloodwork, checkup, sonogram, etc). Whatever appointment time they gave me never went accordingly. I saw myself arriving for an 8am appointment and leaving at 2/3pm, in addition to being told I couldn’t eat for that period of time. Being a center that caters to pregnant women the staff should really be considerate of their patients and try to generate a system that it effective for everyone. I will definitely not be seen here again for a future pregnancy and I’m highly doubting giving birth here.
I received all of my Covid vaccine doses as well as the booster dose here. The whole process went so smoothly. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I had a great experience!
My dad have been coming to this hospital for over a year and everyone is amazing... I also remembered Ive got admitted there for a night and the nurse that was there she reassured me that I will get discharged and not to worry about my dad because he was waiting for me... they took really great care of your loved ones
If i could give this place 0 stars, i would. a few years ago, my father was admitted here. they barely ever updated us on how he was, if they did it was vague. and when he passed away, instead of informing me and my mother- his wife and daughter, they informed my uncle. theres no issue in informing him, but when we called them to confirm they told us he was alive and stable. that night i felt hope i would get to see my father return. the next day my mother called them again, the woman on the phone told her we already told you he died, stop wasting our time. i was only 12 years old at the time. getting told your father was dead, alive and then dead again was extremely traumatizing. f this hospital and its staff.
My experience at this medical center was amazing. I went here to receive a COVID vaccination. The process was smooth and simple. The vaccination staff was very caring and helpful and were willing to answer any questions that I asked. I would like to thank Zenaida Banzon and Erin Watkins for their assistance in helping me get vaccinated at this facility.
My visit at the medical clinic was excellent! From the front desk to my primary Dr Osei and the primary care lab attendant Ms Prasaud was good at giving me painless blood draw that I never seen here. Am always scared of blood draw because of the way some nurse puts the needle on you but Ms Prasaud was perfect no pain that I don’t even know when she put the needle on me. Thanks for the team on duty on this day. I will like to meet them again!
Went 3 times for Covid vaccinations. Staff was super friendly, efficient, quick. Each person we encountered communicated the process and our needs. Thank you! Go find Wahida….she’s funny and kind.
My mother was here Sunday night 🌙 she had the best 👌 5 star service. Very professional. Respect for nurses and doctors and police 🚔 keep safe place 🙏Thanks all staff God bless you 🙏
My Experience i have good serviceDhanwanti P was so kind she help me with my MyChart and she take good care of her patient
At the medical clinic on Saturday July 1st. A little waiting, but the receptionist D.Persaud had me seen by an exceptional wonderful Dr. 👌 . The staff there are all wonderful.
I came here for the first time for my third booster shot and was given an extremely warm welcome by Wahida Mahnan. She made my visit very comfortable. My check in was easy, quick, and fast. I would definitely come again and the visit was even nicer, leaving with a goody bag of hand sanitizer and masks.
I was admitted in the ER two days ago due to high blood pressure. Let me tell you the wait is excruciatingly long but it is nothing compared to what the Nurses and Doctors goes through. Firstly i was treated with kindness by every single worker that i came in contact with. I wish i could remember every one’s name but due to the nature of my problems I wasn’t focused on the names but they were all nice to me and i just want to say thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. I remember Keyonisha’s name (hope i spelt it correctly) just like her they were all wonderful.Secondly All the staff has their work cut out for them let me tell you being in the ER made me not want to go back there for no reason at all. You can tell they are over worked but nonetheless still put in the effort to make sure that they deliver. Some of the patients are a mess and hard to deal with, i was only there for a few hours and i was fed up with their actions to people that are providing care to them. It takes alot to still keep a smile and go through with care and i am grateful to them for helping me and making sure that all was well. Thank you so much i am grateful and appreciative of all the hard work that is put into delivering quality care. God bless you all!
Was in the emergency. It was a mess. Asked for a plastic cup for water, and the RN Barbara told me she couldnt help me. The next day, I went to their pharmacy, and the lady Karagounis Katina, who works at the drop-off window, was very rude. It felt like she was upset for something at home and taking revenge on the patients.
I was taken to the ER on Monday and this Hospital was not my first choice but the Doctors and Nurses at Queens General are among the very Best! Just wanted to say thank you with all my heart for saving my life. I am so very grateful for the your care, kindness and professionalism. Special thanks to Nurse Kumari in the Observation Ward. You guys are my Heros
Nurse Wahida Mahnam was spectacular. Very friendly and a sweet lady. She took care of my first dose for the Vaccine shot. Practically didn’t feel nothing that’s how gentle she was. Thanks!!
I was trying to change my appointment, they ask for a number that if they should get disconnected they could call me, it happens that the phone got cut off two times and no one call me back until now I have not have the opportunity to reschedule my appointment. Overall it’s a very good hospital, they are upgrading the system so I don’t know if that is why it gotten disconnected
We went for our covid vaccine and we were amazed with the quality of service they have done. We were greeted from the entrance with friendlystaffand guided with care from start to finish. It was like attending a friendly tourists tour . So grateful to the staff for the service they have extended to us.
I recently went there to get my vaccine shots and I am so pleasantly surprised to see the cleanliness and helpful and courteous staff. Everyone was so friendly and attentive. I would specially like to mention one of the staff member Ena Kataria who went above and beyond to help me and my friend. We were kind of lost and my friend was little scared to get the shot but Ena did a perfect job to calm her down and register us quickly and courteously. Good job Ena. God bless!!
They treated my newborn baby well and myself but I did not like one of the staff she said why didnt you tell me the baby was going to poop when they put her skin to skin after she born. Also I wasnt getting enough milk and she kept on crying all night and one of the nurses said make her calm down or do something about it they refused to give me bottles to feed her.
My husband and I both went in for our covid vaccinations. From beginning to end, everything was organized and efficient. A special thank you to Karin Czavar for all her help and kindness. She was amazing! Thank you Queens Hospital Center!
I received my first Pfizer vaccine last February 25 andI am very amazed on how organized and efficient the system was done. All the employees were helpful and professional. The seniors were notably given extra attention. The place is clean and welcoming. Thank you to Karin C. also to Ryan T. and Zenaida Banzon.
I have been to this hospital ER a few times and my experience was always good as far as treatment, The Doctors actually asking me whats wrong and allowing me to say, being involved in the treatment plan knowing what theyre doing or about to. My recent visit was due to a sinus infection along with a upper respiratory infection and fever. I have seen some very compassionate and caring Nurses dealing with other patients besides myself. Its a good hospital in my opinion ER wise being i have never been in any other part of the hospital.
The whole hospital experience was not bad, but one doctor in particular was despicable. Doctor Helen Ma, a gynecologist as far as I know. My mom was admitted in the hospital because of excessive bleeding from her uterus. Dr. Ma was ridiculously emotionally detached, which I find unacceptable in a doctor. She showed no care in the world that my mom was literally screaming, very loud, in pain. Dr. Ma stood at the bedside staring at my mom and asked us (my dad and I) when she ate, when she took her last painkiller, did she throw up before or after. Obviously, with all the screaming, yelling, and craziness we couldnt answer them accurately, and its not like we kept record of when she ate and threw up. I expected her to be caring and assure my mom that everything will be fine and the painkillers will be arriving shortly, but no. Doctor Helen Ma with her attitude does not seem suitable as a doctor. Does not seem like a people person. Just because you went to medical school and had the brain power to do well, does not mean you know how to work well with people. Two years prior, 2014, my mom was admitted at the same hospital for the same reason and and it was a MUCH better experience with better doctors and service.
This is the worse hospital i have ever been. No one wants to do their jobs. Without doing their jobs, the nurses will yell at you. If have an appointment, expect to wait at least 4-5 hours! Terrible service. Bedside manner is close to zero. Nurses and other staffs are rude. Emergency room waiting time is about 4 hours ever for pediatric. The staffs probably do not know what is professionalism. I am surprised this hospital still exists. It should be changed or shut down. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL!!!
We got vaccinated at Queens Hospital Center on March 27. Erin Watkins, PCA was very instrumental in assisting us with our appointment. She called me on Wednesday and got scheduled for Saturday. In fact, she has given us options re: the date and time whatever is convenient for us. It was a dear friend of ours, Zeny Banzon who encouraged us to get the vaccine. Our appointment was at 10:00 am. Upon entering the Main Building of the hospital, clear signs were posted. You will be greeted by an associate and they will ask you if it’s your 1st or 2nd dose, then they will instruct you where to proceed. As this was our 1st dose, we were told to go to Area 1. We proceeded to the line where another associate will instruct you to bring out your forms, insurance card and ID. Then we proceeded to the intake/registration window where all your information will be verified. It took us less than 10 minutes to finish that process. After we finished registration, we proceeded to the vaccination area where you will fill out a form with medical questions. Seats were properly marked to ensure physical distancing is observed. Luckily there weren’t a lot of people. After a few minutes, it was our turn get our vaccine. You will be constantly asked if you’re feeling okay. After we have received our vaccine, we proceeded to the Observation area where you will be asked to sit and wait for 15-20 mins to ensure that there are no adverse reactions to the vaccine. We were out the door by 10:45 am.The hospital’s system was very organized. Everything is well coordinated from the receiving area to the observation area. I highly recommend Queens Hospital Center. Thank you.
Thank you for the great care and very smooth process getting a vaccine shot. Appreciate all your very helpful, caring and informative process from my apt with Michelle Watkins to Nurse Gigi and to all the wonderful staff at Queens Hospital. Thank you for all you do for NYC! 💙
Very bad aweful hospital kept me hostage and against my will treated my family and myself like garbage never fallow through with whats promised I had my c section there I was told by another doctor that my cut was done incorrectly and my staples and stitches were done wrong. The hospital held me hostage against my will when my family asked and called the hospital refused to help them they kept me away from my 3 week old baby stay away from there its the worse possible hospital ever.
I was treated very nice while getting my vaccine here at queens hospital center. I was excited and treated with pleasure and kindness throughout. I can’t wait to get my next dose!
Awesome experience. Was in and out in under an hour (amazing during this holiday surge of boosters) and Wahida Mahnan eased my anxiety with a painless booster shot. She was very gentle and patient as I was visibly nervous. Thanks for helping me be part of the solution!
I can’t believe the level of care they provide here. We got here at 10:30pm and from the start you could tell the staff are overworked or just don’t care. A lady fell on the floor in the waiting room and the registration lady said, “she probably threw herself on the floor.” Who says that out load and to the patient?!?! We sat in the urgent care for almost 3 hours. There was one nurse who treated, diagnosed, and worked you up. Where the heck is the doctor? She didn’t even come in the room!! Then to make matters worst the registration man came in and wanted insurance information as soon as we walked into the urgent care. So unprofessional! Thankfully, the one nurse on duty was polite and tried to do her best, I mean she is the nurse, doctor, and everything in between. ***If you plan on coming here don’t, try ANY other hospital!!!!***
COVID-19 nurses are the best and knowledgeable. Security stuff s are great. But management has no idea about controlling and providing service for the patients and Guests, taking violent efforts to get things done, guessing without knowledge providing wrong information.Hospital management on the week side, need much improvement, hopefully get better in future.
Everyone working at the covid shot center were amazing!! I recommend going early (7-10) for the shot and everyone was very organized, kind, I filled out paperwork and got the shot within 30 mins!! For anyone scared to get the shot, i didn’t even feel it OR THE BANDAID GOING ON. My arm is a little sore but as long as you drink a lot of water you’ll feel fine!
I have been very skeptical about getting the COVID vaccine heard numerous rumors about it both good and bad after a lengthy decision I finally decided to get it . Upon my arrival to Queens General Hospital I was greeted by the most professional well trained and most importantly kind hearted understanding nurse Wahida Mahnan I had so much doubts I was so scared after talking to her an she explaining to me in details I was amazed that there is still such amazing very professional people that works for us the public people like Ms Wahida is what the world needs more of .I was so satisfied with her service I would recommend her to anyone and this facility my experience was one of the best keep ur the great work guys
I went to this facility to get my COVID vaccination. My parents and I had an amazing experience. We were amazed with ALL the care and attention the staff had given us. The experience was orderly and organized. My special shout out and thanks to Zenaida Banzon, Karin Czavar, Valero Matthias and Michelle Watkins! You are all wonderful! You are our COVID angels. You helped a lot of eligible people get registered for the COVID vaccines. Thank you ALL very much!
My wife had our baby here, she is very happy with the attention and kindness of everyone baby friendly hospital 10 out of 10
Good day! I got my first dose of vaccine today and I am extremely grateful to everyone at the Queens Hospital Center for the swift, calm, and so well-organized administration of their vaccination program. All the staff treated everyone with respect and compassion, hence the good vibes in the building.Heartfelt thanks to Zenaida Banzon, Karin Czavar, Tara, Laura and Melba. Thank you and bless you all!
Went here multiple times. One time I came here with a broken ankle, my doctor wrapped it up, gave me a really lightweight brace and treated me very cordially. Today I went in just to do a physical check up. My appointment was at 2, and I waited for only 10 minutes before being seen. Staff here is very professional. They provide you with all the information that you need, in the hospital and outside through MyChart. Its a great hospital.
Worse place to ever go!! The keep you for hours whiles holding your results to bill your insurnace- some of the nurses in the ER needs to be fired that’s how rude and unprofessional they are!!Never again!!! One star is too good for this place!!
I cannot say enough for all the help we receive as a community from this hospital, some times we take everything for granted, thanks to the front line personnel that are taking a great risk so we can be better and healthier, thank you for everything you guys do! Specially Wahida Mahnan, this morning I came to get my COVID-19 booster shot and she was the nurse that help me to get it done, kind, professional and overall Angel’s hands. From the bottom of my heart, God bless you all!
Ms Jennifer, in the endoscopy department is the Best. She is so good at her job. Very helpful and makes her the patient feels comfortable.Keep up the good job.
I came here to get vaccinated for COVID-19 and they are very organized. Didn’t make me wait and everyone was super nice. From the security guard in front to the nurse that gave me the vaccine. Very pleasant experience!
This is the worst hospital. DO NOT GO HERE! Went to the Emergency woom 3am Wed needed a test to make sure I didnt have blood clots. I was in the emergency room until 1pm Wednesday, I laid in BED for hours WHILE THE NURSES TALKED WITH EACH OTHER. The first hospital gown they gave me HAD BLOOD ON IT!.disgusting! The floor has needle bottles, dirty NASTY NASTY, bathroom nasty. Nurses and doctors Rude no compassion! IT NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN!This hospital is not fit for animals. I didnt get the test until 10am. No privacy, patients laying around who
Came here for COVID vaccine and got it done in 10 minutes. There was no long-line waits and the staffs were too helpful to guide me where to go next and what to do. Thank you everyone for doing such a great job in saving lives of people.
Horrible customer service. They dont even deserve 1 star. Rude nurse lazy reception. Once you book an appointment your whole day is gone. no one can tell when the doctor will see u. Nobody cares about customer service but you will get a survey letter which nobody cares what u answer. Every time I come think to switch but cant do as the doctor is very Good.
For a city funded hospital, to have a psych ward with 20+ staff, who aren’t working with empathy and true care for the mentally distressed. Whether not providing Hygiene products, or changing the room temperature, to listening to the needs of the patients who need socialized support, what good is the facility besides enacting harm?
Queens hospital center made getting my first covid vaccine SO easy. I was nervous but the staff was professional, knowledgable, friendly and efficient. Parking was a breeze, lines moved quickly; it felt safe and calm. Highly recommend Queens Hospital Center if you need a vaccine!
Wahida Mahnan is the registered nurse at the post vaccine table. I brought my wife in for her second shot. As an observer only Wahida was friendly, patient, genuinely caring to all. Tremendous employee that truly embraces healthcare service. You are beyond lucky to have her on your staff. Kudos to her and please recognize her impeccable service. Well done young lady!
I want to commend this hospital and its crew. I received my COVID vaccine here and the staff was well organized and orderly. My experience was amazing. Special thank you to Zenaida Magnaye Banzon, Karin Czavar, Valerie Matthias and Michelle Watkins. They are the COVID-19 Vaccine Angels.
I had a great experience when I had my COVID vaccine at Queens General Hospital-on 1-30-21From the security guard at the front door showing which way to go to get the shot. Next I was met by a Ms Karin Czavar who met me and escorted me to the sign in process and then escorted me to the area where the shots given. All the people were very friendly and helpful. On my 2nd trip there for the second vaccine. Ms Czavar greeted me again and was very helpful and friendly during the whole process. I give all the workers at Queens General a big thumbs up for their efforts and especially to Ms Czavar for being so helpful and friendly.
Dr. Balaoura is the best pediatrician and nurse Clark rocks! My daughter was born at this hospital and Dr B has been her pediatrician and Ms. Clarke have been her nurse since birth! My daughter adores them both. They are always there when I need them to answer questions or concerns I may have. They take their time with you and although it’s in a clinic, and I have the option to choose a private pediatrician, I wouldn’t go anywhere else. The service, care and compassion they offer is superb! These ladies are truly gem and the meaning of what health care providers should be! ❤️
I had a wonderful experience with the very kind staff at the hospital. My family and I were so pleased with the hospitality and service while getting vaccinated — Wahida Mahnan was exceptionally kind and our Zena Tuna at intake was wonderful. Thank you!!
My first time for me and my husband, who had the flu for 2 days and we were told by the medics that queens general was better to go to than Jamaica hospital being that we live in south ozone. So we took that chance in going to queens general. When we got there that place was like a freaking zoo. Homeless people mixed with the mental ones and had like most of the mental patient in handcuffs. The worst of all the nurses were rude and talking bad back to the patients. So you see my husband is a Veteran and after he showed his ass, they picked up paced to get us outta there even though we were there since 8pm and didnt get home till 5am like working a freaking grave yard shift. Still the worst hospital ever so for now on we will be going to flushing hospital.
The staff are very helpful, caring and knowledgeable most especially Ms Zenaida Magnaye -Banzon and with the kind assistance of Ms Erin Watkins. They helped us get an appointments which were very difficult to do. They made it possible for us with severe undeylying conditions to get an appointments. The fair ,more humane, caring principles permeates in QHC administration and staff. They assisted us patiently from registration until after we were vaccinated for covid. We are truly grateful to the true heroes in real time. . Thank you ❤
The vax clinics and team and phenomenal. They are patient, thorough in their explanations and take the time to make sure every patient feels comfortable with their experience, from covering concerns and questions to working around patients’ individual comfort needs. Great team approach.
Service is very unacceptable here, my girlfriend had to threaten to go to another hospital in order to be seen and whats worse is the fact that she works for the New York City Police Department and theyre treating her like her injuries arent serious, weve been here for 3 hours now, she still hasnt been taken to the X-ray Dept, it doesnt make any sense, why is thus hospital even operational if theyre not going to be attentive to the patients like they should but, theyre quick to come scan your wristband and charge you for it .
I had to accompany my friend to the ER and what would usually be a nightmare turned out to be not that bad actually. The staff here is great especially Angelica! She was so reassuring and down to Earth. She made the experience easier and a lot quicker. Angelica was really positive which helped ease my friends mind. I would 100% recommend this hospital. Also The Pavillion is nice, peaceful and very clean.
The hospital is clean and floor shiny. Took my family for Covid 19 vaccination and took us less than an hour and we’re done👍.Staff were courteous and they even give us hand sanitizers.
I came to QHC for both of my vaccine shots and everyone treated me with respect and courtesy. I barely felt anything both times the vaccine was administered. I would recommend anyone that wants to get vaccinated to visit this hospital.
Had a Covid vaccine appointment today. Waited 2.5 hours in line to get up to the girl at window 4 who told me she didn’t want to take the letter from my employer digitally and it had to be printed out so she can scan it into the hospitals system. I tried to explain the multiple ny state Covid websites that show you can present it digitally but she told me no. What a waste of a day off from work. No wonder we’re in a public health crisis when those that qualify can’t even get their vaccine .Steering all private ambulances we direct away from this hospital in the future.
Zenaida Banzon and Erin Watkins were amazing! One of the most wonderful nurses who took good care of my husband and I during our visit. We had a very good experience. I want to thank them for being in the front lines during this Pandemic.
I was super anxious getting vax. The staff at QHC were wonderful. Made it a quick, safe, and easy experience. Beautiful too that Im in walking distance to home. Great its set up here in our community.
Words cannot not describe my disgust and anger for the treatment my grandmother received back in early May of this year at this hospital. my grandmother was sent here because Elmhurst was out of beds. Moreover, when she entered this hospital she was having trouble with rambling and semi manic states. However, over the two weeks she was at this hospital her state declined so bad that it ultimately lead to her passing at a rehab center. My Grandmother was able to talk politics and culture of the like of Shakespeare and Mozart. Thus, by the time the hospital shipped her to the rehab center she was a rambling mess, talking nonsense and trying to speak in codes as this place left her in a extreme paranoid state. Also, while she stayed there two things were stolen from her room as the thief knew she wasnt going to notice it missing, though me and my family knew. the hospital told us she shouldnt have had these possessions such as a watch or a bottle of perfume given to her on mothers day. Nevertheless, such simple things to keep ones well being in check like a watch and a gift are to hard to keep track and is easy picking for the staff when they know the patient is going senile. additionally the doctors would changed like one would change a diaper. everyday it was something new and the doctors knew no way to help my grandmother. moreover, these doctors all went home at 5 pm., thus when my grandmothers sun-downing would act up and her confusion and paranoia would spike there was no doctor there to help ease her pain or to calm her down. Never send any loved one to this place as they will leave worse than when they entered. I can attest to this as i called the patient advocate and when i said that if more things were stolen from my grandmothers room or if there werent any signs of improvement, my family was going to take the matter to litigation, the man pretended he could not hear me and then hung up on me. thus, if you want to know what their patients mean to them you have you proof. their patients are nothing more than mere dollar signs and occupied beds. This all I have to say as my family is still grieving the loss and magical amazing person that was left to rot in this hospital. May god have mercy on the souls who put who through this. I forgive them, but I will never forget what they did.
Worst hospital ever. Dont ever come if u need to go the ER slow and dont care about you. The would look at you and turn away. Im on bed asking for a cup of water The told me go finish my cat scan first like seriously
ED Left a pregnant woman (me) laying in the hall for several hours on a stretcher without food while I had placenta previa and needed medical intervention. They basically forgot about me....Once shift changed the new doctor came and apologize and there was no more food left and being that I was forgotten about for several hours and I was pregnant he offered me his own lunch!!!!!! For over 7 hours I did not see my doctor or my nurse until shift change and a new doctor and nurse came on board. By that time I felt worse than when I came in.
ER management needs to check there doctor and nurse how they treat there patients. Me and my wife speak English perfectly but they want a translator to translate. The attitude from the doctor and nurse is very unprofessional of them.
Sept.16th 2020Back on the hospital for RS second surgery.Very good experience, a complete turnaroundFrom my previous experience. No waiting and no issues. It is only 7am and everything is going very smoothly. The 2 staff members (male) have been very nice.Thank you.
