My experience with the knowledgeable, and kind staff has led to a positive and rewarding endeavor . Although the testing is long, and invasive at times; I found the process easy and streamlined while communication with the staff was always available. Most of the reviews on here are clearly from bitter, not ideal candidates. Which yes can be disheartening, but you are potentially providing a child to a couple, the vetting process SHOULD BE exclusionary. Although only 10% of us are accepted, the vetting process is secure, informative, and very easy.It can be a kind of weird experience the first few times but the staff have always been kind, informed, and made the process very rewarding, and beneficial for all parties.

I have had a great experience so far. The money the very consistent especially when you sign up for the 3times a week donation promation. It is an additional $100 on top of the $100 that you get for the initial donation. They have really friendly staff and respond to miss calls which is very important to me. I recommend to everyone that wants to help populate the world while also making some money on the side. 😁

Awesome experience from day 1 all three way through to the end of the screening process, which can take a bit of time but it is absolutely worth it. Naturally, not everyone is a fit for this but the friendly staff makes the process go smoothly. Awesome opportunity for anyone looking to make money and support a great cause!

Excellent donation center. The staff are all very friendly and professional. Once you are qualified to donate they will pay you to do it. You can make over $800/month donating! Appointments are easy to make and they have extended and weekend hours. If youre thinking about donating sperm I highly recommend going here.

Stringed me along for ages. They made me come in for two unpaid visits. The interviewer was late to my interview. It took them two months, after having to call them several times, just to tell me in a curt email that I was being discontinued. I am very frustrated. The chair in the collection room as well was very uncomfortable.

I’ve experienced nothing but the most professional and knowledgeable treatment by the staff at SDSB for over 2 years now. Clean facilities and great communication. 5 stars doesn’t do it justice

I don’t believe I could speak more highly of this facility and its team.Sperm donation is often a topic that causes many people to feel uncomfortable or awkward, as they don’t truly understand the help & healing this service provides to families. The several years I have participated in this program, I have felt downright privileged to be a donor for the San Diego Sperm Bank (SDSB) - Privileged to play a small role in helping this team work literal miracles and provide families, struggling with medical or situational misfortune, the means to bring a child into their world.I have felt beyond comfortable and welcomed by the laboratory scientists, technicians, medical providers, phlebotomists, and intake staff. They have always been personable, accommodating, and foster such a professional and friendly environment. Their facility is clean, organized, and reflects the incredible work ethic displayed by their staff. The initial screening takes some time; personal medical history, blood tests, genealogical & hereditary medical data, and physical assessments must be completed to determine if a donor is suitable for the program. However, think of yourself in the position of a prospective parent contemplating using a donor’s DNA to help birth their child - you’d want to know every biological and medical detail, since you don’t actually know the donor personally. With this in mind, the time invested is beyond worth it. You are providing the means to life. Yes, you are paid for your donation as compensation… but in reality, what you have gifted to a family could never be given a monetary value; it is both priceless & life changing.Of note, should you wish to consider donating, realize you need to be in the program for at least a year. When it comes to providing samples, the clinics need enough to test themselves for viability, re-test for disease, and then have enough for several rounds of potential in-vitro fertilization. You must stick around to provide enough sample for a clinic to have what it needs to fulfill its promise to a prospective recipient family. This isn’t some sketchy one-and-done thing that people often misinterpret sperm donation as. This is a paid commitment to help families.SDSB team: keep up the phenomenal job. You all should be proud of your efforts and work. It’s been nothing short of a pleasure interacting with you all while in the program. Thank you!

I am a potential donor. READ COMPLETELY. Im upset with the company stringing me along for a month NEVER MENTIONING FURTHER REQUIREMENTS until after I complete the last unpaid visit. The qualification process is slow and requires 2 seperate donations (unpaid) to check for strength of sperm, only 10% of applicants are accepted. Afterwards.. youll need physical and blood sample (no cost to you). i still have yet to complete this 3rd and hopefully last step. Now im told They expect a 1 year commitment as a donor 1-3 times per week. FOR A YEAR.. I recieve $70 by direct deposit immediately and $30 after a 6 month waiting period.. not sure if the $30 is garunteed or only if the sample is used. IF YOU BREAK THE COMMITMENT TO FUTURE DONATIONS AND MANDATORY PHYSICALS- YOU. HAVE. TO. REPAY. ALL. FUNDS you EVER receieved up until then.... So ....the staff is professional and friendly. I like them all speaking in a personal regard. But In a professional regard: Why was this not disclosed in the beginning. I feel rather swindled. I live 40 miles away and im now REALLY on the fence.
