Quest was who my Dr recommended because they get the correct test done and are organized. I walked in without an appointment and the paper order in hand. You check in electronically and then they call you up. The wait time was reasonable, in fact I was hoping to wait longer since I wanted to read some articles in the magazines in the waiting room. Mary got me back quickly and was very friendly. She was timely, easy to talk to and did a great job drawing my blood. Im not sure why there are complaints. I would not hesitate to use Quest again!
Rude staff. Showed up at 4:25 with my two young children to get my sons blood drawn. Google showed them open until 5, but apparently they are only open until 4:30. Staff were beside themselves that I would show up so late. They complained loudly to each other and sighed heavily through the entire procedure. They pointed out that I should have looked at the Quest website instead of Google. We felt uncomfortable the entire time. The last thing I wanted was a rude person poking my 7 year old with a sharp object. Ill drive to another location next time and hopefully be treated like a customer/patient, not an inconvenience.
I have never been treated so rudely as the person who came out and talked to me at the front desk. She (Brianna) yelled at me because I didnt have a mask, I asked if they had one and she told me I had to leave and find one. I had made an appointment at 11:00 AM and drove 45 miles to get to this appointment. The day before I had called and after two hours, I still could not get ahold of an actual human who could verify that they had the correct kit for me to get a series of tests done. However, the woman who took my blood was very kind and understanding and she knew exactly who the rude person I was talking about. I will never come here for medical tests again.
I have to say, after reading the reviews I was very apprehensive about going. But, my company required it for health insurance and wont allow my primary doctor to do the testing. I arrived a few minutes before my appointment and was taken back promptly. The staff was friendly and helpful every step of the way. The person who managed my appointment was Mary. When it got to the blood draw (notoriously difficult for me, and something that often takes many sticks and more than one person trying) was the quickest and least painful Ive ever had done. Got me on the first stick. Mary is awesome! Would definitely plan to go here again.
If you like to be yelled at by staff, not treated like a paying customer, not respected as a human and subject to horrible attitudes from the staff, this is the perfect location to schedule your appointments. If you read other reviews, its clear many have the same, disappointing experience.I called the Quest customer service number to ask for the managers contact information and told Quest does not share that information.UPDATE: Just wanted to share that in addition to the horrible experience, the staff did NOT perform the correct process. Of course Quest Diagnostics did NOT notify us, our doctor did!We will NOT EVER return to this location. The management is poor at best and their responses to valid concerns are “canned” which indicates to me they have too much business and don’t care. Very sad.
My wife and I came in for a biometric screening for our health insurance, and we were both out before my appointment was scheduled to start! All three nurses were incredibly friendly, and drew blood with little discomfort. Not sure why all the poor reviews, I cant say a single bad thing about our experience today.
Not even 1 star worthy. I have asthma and cannot breathe well behind a mask. My minor daughter was refused service because we did not have masks. Wasnt even asked about a medical condition for not wearing a mask.We came back with masks and upon signing in they needed to scan the patients drivers license. Since my minor child does not have a license, I signed in my name with license. Thay were real snippy about that. When I snapped at the technician she changed her attitude. But after sticking my daughter and not getting blood, she swiveled the needle around tearing her vein. She says her arm is numb and heavy.I would like to address the fact that you need better quality staff that actually cares. And if discrimination is wrong then why are people who dont wear masks being discriminated against?
Now I understand why they only have 2.8 Stars. I took my daughter who has mental issues in there for blood work. Shes extremely fearful of getting her blood drawn and I even told them that it was a psych thing and that she was very afraid. the woman starting out doing the paperwork was very rude and not empathetic at all. My daughter started crying and freaking out before it was even started and the woman finally stood up and talked to her in a mean rough voice and told her she was going to make her mother, myself leave the room if she didnt settle down. Finally after about 10 minutes, she said I refuse to do this, which I was fine with but cant believe she put my daughter through that experience. As we were leaving, my daughter said the woman made it so much worse and that her anxiety level was so much higher and that she was traumatized. Even today, the next day she says that woman traumatized her and she refuses to even attempt to try to get her blood drawn somewhere else. I admit my daughter has irrational fears about this and mental issues but that woman was one of the most rude, and unempathetic people I have ever met. She kept telling her she had 31 years experience, I dont understand why they would keep somebody like that because its more than just drawing blood, its comforting the patient.
I called in to make an appointment on Monday morning. They have an automated system instead of a person which is a bit frustrating as I couldnt schedule over the phone as the program couldnt understand my first name for whatever reason.Decided to walk in around the available appointment time and things couldnt have gone quicker. I think I was in and out in 15 minutes tops. The woman who pulled my labs was quick and efficient and had me out on my way fast.I was nervous with some of the reviews I had read but my experience was quite positive.
If they had a negative number thats what I would be giving. I got there with my son to have his blood drawn and they lady was RUDE preceeded to complain about the computers being down. She has 0 people skills. In my opinion you are in the eyes of the public you need manners and I dont know maybe just maybe act like you like your job. My sons Dr. Wanted alot of different blood work done and she even told me she didnt know what viles to use. Blew my mind that people could actually get away with treating people like this
I was a bit worried about how this would go due to the reviews here, but I was blown away by how quick and pleasant this experience was! I made an appointment as recommended, got a text with a link to check in when I arrived. Once I checked in and sat down, there was a list on the screen with my approximate wait time listed. I waited maybe five minutes before being called back by a very friendly phlebotomist who got me in and out very quickly. Definitely recommend and will remember this place for any future lab work needed!
I love the staff here! My 8 yr old daughter gets weekly blood draws and they always are so kind and caring to her. Ms. Mary is the one who almost always does her draw. She makes the weekly chore so much easier. Bren is awesome too! I appreciate these ladies and so does my daughter.
Very dissatisfied with experience. Had to wait over an hour for bloodwork - but the worst part was that the two employees that were there were glaring and sighing at the patients in the waiting room non-stop. They were also loudly complaining about how busy they were.....showing no compassion for the patients. I asked them to check to see if my doctors orders had come in and they would not do it until it was my turn...too busy. The office also smelled bad. They need to get more (and different) workers and clean that place up! I will not get lab work done there again!
My son has gone there several times (and I myself a few) and everyone is very accommodating. I was not able to make an early appt. this time so decided to just walk-in and assume they leave those times blocked because of the high amount of walk-ins on some days. That said, we got in and out very quick. Thanks!
We were greeted by a very rude woman who acted like we were imposing on her to see if my 85 y.o. moms order had come in. It had not. She basically dismissed us and said come back later, even tho the recording says they will call your doctor for you if they havent received it. There is no way to reach a human at the number listed so evidently you have to keep going back and hope for the best. Not very senior friendly, thats for sure. Unfortunately thats where she is sent by her Dr.
Called and scheduled an appointment after having a referral from my doctor. Upon arrival they did not have me down for any appointment. Then they had no idea why I was there. After telling them they told me I needed to have a order from the doctor faxed. After receiving the order they told me i had to wait and that they didnt know if they could perform the test. After all confusion was over turns out I had to wait 2 weeks because I lacked receiving instructions from my doctor... ok not their fault. I scheduled another test 2 weeks out had shown up for my appointment and the same thing happens. They dont know why Im there, have no doctors orders even tho they just had it 2 weeks ago. Same thing all over again. Needless to say I left. The right hand has no idea what the left is doing and very poorly organized. Id strongly suggest getting tests done somewhere else.
Very nice person did my labs, painlessly. No appointment, just drop in. Less than 5 minute wait. I did notice for a medical office this place is dirty. It looks old and needs new carpet and painting.
I had to leave 3 messages previously before anyone would call me back to verify if they had received orders from doctor. They say they had not received the orders. Doctor says order have been sent again. I have left two messages to verify receipt, with no return call. I now try to call and cant even leave a message. There are similar reviews with this same issue. Customer service is poor.
Ive never had a bad experience as described by so many others. They have always been polite, professional and kind. I didnt smell any bad odors that others are describing either. So sorry for those that had such an awful experience. Ive gone there for years and its been fine.
I was told by my doctors office to call to make sure they received my orders. I called them and left a message they said if I call before 3:30 my call would be returned the next day; if it was after 3:30 the would call the next day. Its now day 3 and no returned call. Poor customer service.
Getting my blood drawn is one of those things I absolutely hate and avoid. The staff at this location are so great. They get me on first stick. They are hilarious and make an unpleasant thing great.
The staff was awesome. Great chair side manner. Nurse that too my blood was very good at finding a vein. Cracked a few jokes. Was over before I knew it.
Its no wonder why they have such horrible reviews. When the phleb is there to provide a service you are paying for and she is rude as hell it makes you want to take it elsewhere. And of course she says she doesnt have a supervisor which is bs. Maybe they need to retrain her on how to be more polite and professional instead sounding like shes ignorant
Love calling your location and having to listen to a 6 minute rambling message and then being told to press 3 to schedule and it goes to to a black hole. Called back 3 times only to find that all of the extensions listed on your message go to black holes which then lead to more rambling messages. No more Quest for me.
I find the people very nice. Especially Jan. I would have given 5 stars but the waiting room was in bad shape. They have been working on clean and updating that area.
Yelled at because I did what I was told to by our doctor. Continued to belittle me and my child because we were unaware of any payments needed to drop off a lab. Implied that I was a bad person and lazy because of the insurance I carry on my daughter.
This site says Walk-ins welcome, but they are not. Contacting by phone is useless because a Robot voice is all you get. I waited there for nearly two hours and no attempt was made to work me in. Finally I left.
I always have had a great experience at the Lees Summit Location. Everyone on staff has been so nice and professional, and good at drawing blood.
Very understaffed! Definitely don’t go on a Saturday, waited for an hour and they do not call people back quickly. No receptionist which would likely speed up the process in the back. Will not be back.
Terrible customer service! I dont have time to wait an hour for my turn to confirm they have the drs orders. Tell me when I get there! Im not going to wait - then be told the drs orders cant be found!! Very loud, unprofessional office! Never returning!!
I’ve tried to use the automated service to change an appointment time about 6 times and keep getting hung up on. I called the actual office and got to speak to a woman who could not help me at all and was rude and sounded completely annoyed that I even called to ask a question.
I will never return to this location. Rude, hateful, loud sighing as he was entering my lab orders, acting like I was inconveniencing him. I have never seen such an unprofessional display.
Robert Corwin - I had my blood drawn on Saturday they were so quick and professional. I would go there anytime. Thank you
Rude staff. Honestly I am not sure they knew what they were doing when it came to my 14 mo old. They stuck him in 2 complete different spots no where close to each other. They were too rough. I will never go back there for blood work!
Very prompt.Group was great to work withI was done in just over 5 minutes, perfect!
Been waiting on the results of a Covid test for 15 days. What’s the point in getting tested? Go elsewhere. Not worth the time or money.
Jan was great. Friendly, whole process was easy. In and out.
Why cant I talk to someone?!?!? Theres no operator option when trying to call, very frustrating!
