Scheduling with the app was a piece of cake and I loved it! The app is very very easy to use and I hardly had any wait time considering I was a smidge late for my appointment. Staff was very friendly and was very considerate of my child that was with me. The office was extremely clean and very professional. I have been to this location prior to my appointment today and I 100% plan to return. 10/10 recommend this location
The woman at the check in was incredibly helpful! She was friendly and informative! The wait wasn’t bad.The guy that did my initial check in was great. The person that did my actual check came in the room, I assumed he was a student intern. He had no visible name tag. Didn’t introduce himself. Didn’t have “Dr. clothing” just a plain tee shirt. He put gloves on without me even knowing he was the Dr? He didn’t seem to ask many questions. He didn’t seem to hear the things I was asking because his responses weren’t detailed, and were dismissive. I left without any paperwork/ discharge instructions. No record of my appointment or anything! I was less than impressed.Again, the lady at the front desk was great!
Fantastic service everytime I have ever come here. Yesterday I came in for some stitches and Tom the provider was amazing, and professional. It was under an hour from the time I showed up till I was out the door, and I was just a walk in appointment, no prior appointment. Highly recommended!
Irene gave me the comic relief that I needed! I was in very low spirits after being shooed away at the hospital, but Irene picked me up, dusted me off, and did some x-rays for me too. She is the best and the world needs more of her.
Our visit was for my son. His brother was just getting over bacterial pneumonia. We told the doctor this and that our local pediatrician said that bacterial pneumonia was going around in our area. He had the same symptoms as his brother. She tried to pass it off as allergies or asthma. She misdiagnosed him and gave him medicine that did no good and did not help him. He could have got very sick. Luckily we got home to Texas to our normal pediatrician and she diagnosed it as pneumonia got him the right medicine and got him healthy. I gave it two stars for them being friendly and clean.
Horrible place to go if you’re in pain. Basically looked at a trash can and put $50 in it. Was there for an hour and got no questions about what I was being seen for. One nurse to talk to that just is in the back chatting away rather than see patients who have to get back to their full time job. I was “seen” so co pay could not be refunded. Seen aka gave me a business card that I waited an hour for basically.
Woke up this morning with back pain and cramping, I was able to book an appointment online for today with no trouble. Plenty of appointment times available to choose from, and even able to reschedule for later in the day to accommodate me. Waiting time was minimal, less than 10 mins. I was in and out of there 30 minutes tops. Dr was thorough, asked questions, remembered me from last time I was there, cared, and had great bedside manner. My go to place when I can’t see my PCP.
Called and made an appointment for a DOT Physical and they got me in fast.Staff was very nice and Dr got me and out in no time.I will come back next year. Thanks again.
I had a horrible experience at this place last time I came in. But unfortunately its one of the only Urgent Cares that accept Tri-Care so I had to come back. This visit was a complete 360 from the last. Renee was extremely cool she got me in to see someone even though they were understaffed she made it work on top of a friendly conversation while I waited. Irene was very personable as if it was no different then being at home seeking care. Dr. Kimball was extremely knowledgeable and walked me through steps that could help with my stress besides just getting a medication. Great place to come to.
You can make a reservation online. For an urgent care, the wait wasnt bad. Medical assistant Irene and FNP Melanie Laughlin Waller were thorough, kind, and calming.
This was the worst urgent care experience Ive ever had. I was there for a suspected foot fracture, and had only chosen to come to this location because of the X-ray service offered on-site. They were having technical troubles with their charting system, and their X-ray machine, but no one mentioned that when I arrived/checked in. Had I been informed that the X-ray machine wasnt working, I wouldve left and gone elsewhere. I had a scheduled appointment, but it would not allow me to check in when I arrived. I fought with that in my car for over 10 minutes, before finally being able to successfully check in late. No one mentioned anything about it. I sat in the waiting room for over an hour before even being called back. After being triaged, I was taken to an exam room, where I proceeded to sit for an additional 25 min. When the doctor finally came in, she did not introduce herself or even ask about my foot, she started off immediately with complaining about how frustrating her day was, due to the technical troubles they were experiencing. It was only then when I learned their X-ray machine was down. After taking approx. 10 seconds to look at my foot, only asking me what I did to cause the pain, then cursing twice as she proceeded to complain again about the technical issues, she stood and said: Ill go check on the X-ray machine, but if its still not working, Ill have to send you down the street. I was left again in the exam room, stunned by how little care I was actually receiving in any of this experience. After another 15 min passed, the doctor returned with 2 cards, 1 for an imagine place, and 1 for an orthopedic surgeon, to which she said you will likely need to see someone like that. She also told me her printer was also not working, and Id have to pick up my referrals from reception, before walking away and fiddling with her printer. I stood there awkwardly momentarily before realizing our exchange was indeed over, and my insurance was going to be billed for a complete waste of time and grotesque lack of care. I ended up going to a 2nd urgent care where I received proper care, even though that meant paying my copay and billing my insurance for a second time. I will never go back to this urgent care and I will be sure everyone I know knows not to as well. The fact that the word care is in their name is false advertising, because the transactional, halfhearted exchange I experienced was far from any sort of care.
Despite doing all of the paperwork on line before my appointment, waited in the lobby for 30 minutes. Saw the nurse who did the preliminary work. Saw the doctor for 30 seconds - said i tested positive for covid and to go home and rest. I asked about some of the new pharmaceuticals and said no - just go home, take a multi vitamin and rest.Waist of time and money.
Got into a car accident Monday afternoon. I just needed a checkup, make sure things are okay. The whole visit was fantastic. Kenzie at the front desk was very sweet and made the checkin process so easy. The MA was short and to the point with getting my history. The provider was quick and I was able to get an order for an xray if needed, although he didnt feel it was necessary. All in all, it was a great visit.
Im just going to be straight up and honest and tell everyone exactly what was said to me and said about another patient. a woman with a limp was walking out of the office and before she even reached the second set of doors the male triage nurse comes out and starts telling the front desk lady how she was being over dramatic and that there was nothing wrong with her and the front desk lady also joined in on talking crap about her. already making for an uncomfortable vibe overall for me since I am literally sitting right there listening to them talk about her when she was in obvious pain. then it’s my turn to go back and the male triage nurse starts to ask me questions so i’ll start with this one.. he says “when was the last time you’ve been to the obgyn?” I responded “never since i’m only 18” which he responds with and I quote “ma’am you’re 18 and you’ve never been to an obgyn? i’m going to act like i didn’t just hear that” while making a rude disgusted type of face at me. then he goes on to ask if im on any medication (says nothing about birth control) so i say no cause to me birth control isn’t a medication. (and usually doctors just ask you if you are on it) then later on we’re talking and I mention how i’m on birth control and he says “remember when I asked about you being on medication?” then looks at me like i’m an idiot. it doesn’t end there. finally he’s taking me back to the room where the doctor will see me and he tells me to strip yes he used the word strip and once the doctor comes in she says “oh you didn’t need to get full undressed you could’ve kept your hoodie on.” so yeah this enter experience was awful and he was obviously out to embarrass me and clearly is out to embarrass other people. I will not ever be returning here and I really hope this guy gets talked to about this or maybe more so it doesn’t happen to any other young girls who are doing things on their own for the first time as well. And this goes for the front desk lady too.
Made an appointment on-line, walked right in and was seen. The physician and or/NP were efficient, especially working with a pediatric patient. No waiting line. Waiting room was empty. Total time waiting and to be seen around 30 min.
The receptionist is rude. She did not greet us just slid a box of mask towards us and said you need to put on a mask, then went straight into ask if we had an appointment and to have a seat. No hi, how can i help you. Nothing. After waiting 20 mins she called out my name and yelled out that i had a deductible of $120 to pay…. Which is fine but typically mos staff are to wait until you make it to the desk to disclose payment i formation vs shouting it out through the waiting room? If not you guys she probably implement that into your companies standards, along with being a FRIENDLY and welcoming.
Thank you Kendall for your help tonight! Kendall was helping me up front and got us in quickly and was just SO kind!! The Medical Assistant, doctor and student on the clock were all so kind and did not feel rushed for my daughter being seen! Will definitely be back if we need an urgent care again!
Made an appointment for 11:40 am online. Did not see a provider until after 1pm. Clinic rooms not in great condition. Clearly water damage and evidence of it running down the walls. Provider and staff were nice though. Just feels pointless to make an appointment and be seen almost an hour and a half after it.
We arrived at a good time and got in right away! The nurse was awesome and very compassionate and we were treated with great care!!!
I was handled with great professionalism , knowledge and kindness. My care was excellent . I will definitely go back . Thomas and Irene were nothing short of amazing ! The lady at the front desk was very helpful as well!
Had an appointment at 2:40, only two people ahead of me, and didn’t get in til 3. Doctor spent less than 10 minutes, which was adequate. Staff was friendly.
Quick and efficient. When other Urgent cares directed me to the ER over the phone they were confident theyd be able to help me and they were 100% right. They had all the right resources. Thank you
Cordial, clean and professional. Needed a sports physical for my daughter. We forgot the physical forms and they provided forms for us. We were in and out in less that 30 minutes with a scheduled appointment.
It was a long wait but not due to any fault of the staff. Everyone was very kind and pleasant and apologetic for the wait. Again, not anyone’s fault there was a large influx of individuals needing care.
Mikey and Tommy were amazing! They were very personable and made the experience easy and stress-free. They were both funny, and kind. Definitely recommend!
The receptionist/ medical assistant Renee made remarks about the scars on my skin and that I had major tweeker vibes. I could hear what she was saying through a closed door immediately after I went into the in-take room she placed me in for my visit due to bronchitis. What she said was rude, untrue, and extremely unprofessional. The nurse who came in the room to do my intake sat down. I broke down in tears telling her.I could hear every word that woman said and that I was not a tweaker that I have really bad allergies and have had poison ivy several times. The nurse gave me a hug and said that Renee was in the wrong and that she would handle it. Renee then decided to try to come to my exam room to apologize. When she tried to enter the room, I immediately told her I did not want to speak to her, which then she decided to me and continued to try to speak to me and force me to hear an apology. I told her a second time. I did not want to speak to her. And she continued to come into the room and shut the door I told her twice after that I wanted her to leave. She decided after the second time that she would finallyego I did not look her in the eyes. I did not want her in my room. I sat there shaking after she left because I was so upset. This woman crossed the line and she should be reprimanded. Renee is a nonethical aHealthcare worker.
Everyone was very helpful and attentive. They met all of my expectations, and did a really good job of explaining each step. I have no complaints
Tiffany did a fantastic job taking care of my 10 year old when we thought he had a broken foot. Lisa is not your typical provider either, great bedside manners. I remember NextCare taking good care of me when I had covid a couple of years ago also. I would highly recommend NextCare Urgent Care in Lees Summit (on McBaine Drive).
Front desk personnel very friendly and helpful! Nice waiting room. Easy check in process.
Call before you go to make sure they can do xrays or other needed care to make sure they have someone on staff trained to provide the care you need. Disappointed I couldnt get xray, however the Dr or NP that day was wonderful.
Had to use my camera to take a photo of QR code to fill out paperwork. Received three texts with other codes throughout process. Then the information doesn’t transfer over to system nurse uses in back. Oey Vey!
Good customer service. Very little wait time. The check in process on the phone needs some work so its more user friendly. Definitely recommend their services.
All the staff that I saw were very helpful. Jennifer was especially professional in explaining my situation and medication. A delightful lady.
Much better experience than last time when I didn’t know I wouldn’t be seeing a provider in person ahead of time. I was in and out quickly, providers and staff were knowledgeable and compassionate.
Waste of time for them to tell me things that could literally be read on the internet while also being rude and short. The front desk worker was the only person who was nice and welcoming.
I had an accident at home and wanted to rule out if my foot was broken. We went to another urgent care and essentially turned away due to a 3 hour wait. NextCare was next on the list. I did make a reservation incase there were a lot of patients waiting to be seen. We were immediately checked in and seen. Xray was taken and thankfully nothing was broken! Staff were pleasant. Fast service. I will definitely be a returning patient when I need them!
Amazing employees! I was in alot of pain and they were all so kind an friendly. Would recommend to anyone.
Made an appointment for 5:30 PM. Filled out all the paperwork online, got a confirmation text, then drove all the way across town to find a sign “Sorry closed at 4 due to lack of staffing”. I’m not mad they are short staffed, I am mad they still allow booking of appointments. Will never return and will tell everyone I know to avoid.
The reception was very friendly as soon as I walked in the door. Unfortunately Their fax machine was down at that time . Regardless she walked me through explaining to the person I was talking to on the phone exactly how to send my info to her. Very cheerful young woman and didn’t mind the confusion between my work comp rep and the urgent care unit. My physician came out just as happy and helpful. Had me diagnosed and out the door with my prescriptions in a very timely and professional manner. Great people and a great place.
There was no wait. I got in quickly and tests results were fast. Prescription was sent to the CVS immediately.
Back to visit again for an issue I needed to check out. And staff was even more awesome this time around Thomas Dude was supercalifragilistic as always. Michael was also great and amazing both of them most definitely have a great and positive vibe that Is hard to come by at hospitals!!! Love those guys. 💯🤩😍
Attentive and professional. Much better than last time I had an appt as when I checked in for an appt, I was told no provider available.
Staff is very nice, and the business is at an easy to find location, but NextCare needs a new computer system or something. The check in process was rough for several patients and the computer issues on the staff side likely contributed to me waiting an hour for my scheduled appointment. I used a different nextcare location a while back for covid testing and they had similar issues with their online scheduling.
The staff was friendly and efficient! My wait wasnt long, and I got seen and helped without any issues!
The staff was extremely kind and did what they could to help me. They were attentive and made sure I understood the information.
Charged me 300 and didn’t say anything but I have to go to the er worse urgent care ever
It was getting to be early evening. Told receptionist I could not see to drive after dark (I’m 86 yrs old and on walker). She made it possible for me to see a doctor shortly after that and I was home before dark. Doctor was very congenial also. Nice place to go. I’m sure I would use them again when I can’t see my doctor.
Great service. Was in an out quickly. Very attentive. Would highly recommend.
STAY AWAY! Made an online appointment for 9:30 but said walk ins available at Arrived at 8am when they were suppose to be open. Door locked. Called customer service they said someone would arrive by 9am. 9am came and went. Called again now it’s 9:30am that they’ll be there. 10:10 finally the doors open. NOT A SORRY FOR THE DELAY OR EXPLANATION JUST SIT DOWN AND WAIT TIL 10:20.Waited AGAIN. I literally sat and cried in a chair and when it seemed I might be left to wait for another 2 hours I gave up.Have some common decency for people and their time.
Arrived and was told to check QR code to check in. Signal is bad, so after 15 minutes of trying and walking around waiting room looking for signal I said something. Receptionist said, are you on our wifi... how would I have know that? She admitted bad signals and stated the password. This should have clear signage. The app wasnt working right to upload picture of insurance. After failing 3 times, I asked, and she said, yeah it didnt work right. If you know these things up front, tell the customer rather than the customer having a bad experience. Maybe a sheet of paper with instructions? The app check in process is painful. The receptionist was very nice, and this is no reflection on her. Im sure these things frustrate her too.
Great tech and great provider! Scripts were promptly sent to the pharmacy which was wonderful. They were closing in 20 minutes! My hubs picked them up and Im on my way to getting well! Thank you!
This visit was very good. There was only one other patient when I went in, so service was very fast and the provider was helpful, quick and pleasant. I’ve had longer waits in the past, but always had a mostly good experience.
Facility is clean, staff is polite. A bit slow though I booked an appointment. I arrived 20min early and I was invited in 20min past my appointment time. I needed an x-ray and 1.5h past clinic open time, the x-ray machine was not ready to go. I had to wait another 25min for it to warm up. I got out 1h15min after my appointment time. An ok experience, but not one to make me prefer this clinic over others. May choose to try somewhere else if I need an urgent care clinic again.I cant evaluate quality of care yet as Ill have to see what outcome will be.
I made an appointment for 10:40 A.M. on Saturday, October 28, 2023, using their website. I arrived at the allotted time and was told: 1) there was nobody at the facility, and that I would be seen virtually; and 2) I wouldnt be seen until at least noon. Whats the point of making an appointment at an urgent care facility if youre just going to be seen virtually; and why bother making an appointment if youre going to wait over an hour?!?The lady at the front desk was very nice and apologetic, which is why I give this place one start instead of zero starts.(I wound up going to another urgent care clinic, CareNow, off 3rd St. in Lees Summit, and was diagnosed with an ear infection. This is NOT something that could have been diagnosed virtually).
Good experience. I was a walk-in and there was a 2 hour wait. But over all the Dr was responsive and helpful
Two of the last three times my family has used this location we’ve booked an appointment online for an in-person appointment, only to be told after we got there that we would be having a telehealth appointment with the doctor. We could have had a virtual appointment from our house, we expected to be seen by a doctor. If there is not a doctor on the premises, they should be distinguishing the difference and notifying patients when they book. The staff was friendly and the facility is clean but we will not be returning.
Receptionist seemed extremely skatter-brained the entire time I was at the front desk. She was not sitting there when I arrived, then eventually came in with two bags of chips and a coke. Explained to me how she had been to the bathroom. Asked questions to ME about my co-pay. I showed her my card and she explained that she had checked several other places but didn’t look there. She was bad-mouthing another employee to the manager while I sat there as well- VERY unprofessional.Medical assistant was excellent, I didn’t get his name(had some cool dunks on though!) . Took all info down quickly and effectively. NP was great- he seemed genuinely interested in my condition and wanted to be as helpful as possible!! I very much appreciate both of these men today for their confident and compassionate care!!!
This was a great place! My son needed a last minute sports physical they got me right in with no appointment. Everyone was friendly and I didn’t have long wait. They were not as expensive as some other places. This was a good experience.
I feel like I payed for them to tell me that they couldn’t help me with my issue. I explained to them what I was experiencing for them to tell me I needed to see my Primary Care Physician.
The place was easy to get there, fast service!! And the doctor and nurse were amazing!!! Would highly recommended this place!!
The staff at NextCare were wonderful! We were in Kansas City from Minneapolis and my daughter had some ear pain. The staff was so friendly and went out of their way to make sure that we were able to get the medication needed even after there was a mess up with the pharmacy.
You check in using the app or online, it’s simple and efficient. I was seen quickly. Everyone was kind and respectful. I received 12 stitches; she did a great job suturing and made sure the area was numb so I was as comfortable as possible. This will be my urgent care go to. Best urgent care I’ve been to.
Very prompt. Clean facilities and NP Tyeesha Dent was very friendly and professional. Will use this facility again if needed.
My first trip here all they really cared about was my drug test. The doctor dug her fingers in my elbow to see if i tore muscles. The nurse asked me which wrap i thought would be better around my arm. Now im hear for a second time for a checkup and im in pain waiting for the doctor to come in. Its been an hour in a half.
I had initially gone to CareNow, after sonogram & x-ray was told I had pneumonia. That was over 6 weeks ago, I went back, as I was still experiencing difficulty & was told to basically deal with it. I went to primary who scheduled blood work, etc for next month. I went to NextCare & was seen by FNP Jennifer V. She saw my swollen left ankle, my extremely elevated BP & referred me to a cardiologist. This was today, appt with cardiologist next week. Im not excited about my first visit with a cardiologist, but, am extremely grateful for NP Jennifer V. I wasnt shopping for care based on what i wanted to hear, nor to be dismissed. Very much appreciated, thank you FNP Jennifer!
Have tried on multiple occasions. Years ago was great. However be aware now as some of my more recent experiences:1) One time, no doctors, no nurses available said all taking vacation at same time. Sent me elsewhere.2) Oct 2022 - had deep finger cut. I asked for real stitches cuz glue never works on hands. They gave me 5 min glue job (guess what fell out day latert). Then they filed 3 charges as if it was surgery (Code S61.215A CPT4:99213, A4550, S9088) for $277.3) Another time they required upfront payment for CoPay which I said my insurance doesnt have. THey ended up overcharging by $75. Took me about a year of off/on tons calls etc to finally get a refund check.
From the moment I entered, I was greeted and received care. The receptionist was very welcoming and polite. The nurse who took my vitals was very friendly and nice. The DR took time and listened to my symptoms and details. He made recommendations. It was the most positive experience I have ever had at an urgent care.
The staff were easy to talk to and quickly got me in and out. Jennifer was very down to earth when talking about the results of my test, I understood fully the next steps for my care and had no questions afterwards. I forgot the name of the PA that first assisted me but he was kind and efficient but also understanding of what I needed as well.
Sunday 1130am. Went super fast and the entire team was very friendly.
I scheduled an appointment for myself for 740pm there last appointment of the day. But my son was not feeling well either so I asked if he could be seen also when we got there and we had arrived 10 minutes late. They saw both of us quickly and.were pleasant bout it. I enjoy going here when we are not able to get into my regular doctor at the last minute.
Everyone was very nice and helpful. It was a fairly quick process. The facility was very nice as well. We were here on vacation and didnt expect to be visiting an urgent care but I will definitely recommend to our family who live here.
If I could leave zero stars I would! Made an appointment for last night at 5:40. Text to confirm. They called I answered. Get there and they have a sign that says sorry closed open at 8 am tomorrow. No call or text drive even tho I drove 25 minutes! So I reschedule for next morning. Drive another 25 minutes and get there and no physician on hand today! No call or text letting us know don’t bother coming again today! Worst place ever! I get stuff comes up but let your patients know!!!!
Went in for upper shoulder/back pain from a car accident, they took their $135 dollars from me as a copay to tell me they don’t do that here and they’ll send a muscle relaxer to my pharmacy. Very disappointing.
Made an appointment, did my paperwork before arriving. Arrived 5 minutes early as recommended. Even though I was in and out quickly, all the staff were attentive and thorough as well as friendly. I’m not a fan of going to the doctor but the entire crew here made me leave with a smile and hopeful that I’m going to live!
The gentleman that provided wound care for my 94 year-old father yesterday was so very kind and attentive to my 89-year-old mother and 94-year-old father. He took excellent care of them and took the time to talk to them. He also advise them that my father would need to go to advanced wound care, and so we have followed up with that appointment. His caretaking kindness was extremely appreciated by both of my parents! Also, the front desk personnel took extra care to make sure my parents found the location and was welcomed when they arrived.
Irene’s bedside manner is appalling. I will never be back simply because of her.
Dr. Gorham was fantastic!! Very helpful and took the time to fully discuss a treatment plan with my teenage daughter.
Everyone was very professional knew what to do and it wasn’t a long wait. I was and still sick so who wants to hang around ? Thanks everyone!
This marks my second visit here, and their inefficiency is remarkable. Despite their app indicating no queue ahead of me, Ive been waiting for an hour. During the first visit, I had the same experience.
Every time I am seen at this urgent care location, Thomas and the surrounding staff ensures I receive the highest quality of care. Thank you Thomas and the team at Nextcare Lees Summit.
I came in today (1-2-23) for some issues with coughing fits and breathing.,They were honestly quicker than I expected for a walk in. I waited for about an hour, maybe an hour and a half as there were 5-6 people in front of me including a couple appointments. The staff I talked to were nice, knowledgeable, and they joked with me a bunch as I was joking with them. It was a pretty good experience and Im definitely open to coming back.
They were very fast, no paperwork because everything was done online and nice staff.
The NP Jenni is fantastic. Shes professional, thoughtful, thorough, and kind.I was dreading an urgent care visit, but because of her Id recommend this location to anyone!
Its a bit nerve wracking to have to visit an Urgent Care while out of town. I didnt know what urgent cares were good in the area, but I feel extremely lucky that I ended up at this one.In all honesty, 99% of this rating is due to the absolutely incredible Danielle Reese who, for the first time in my life made me feel truly seen and heard and actually listened to when visiting an urgent care (or any medical fascility really.) She was able to work efficiently on conducting my intake, vitals, medical history, etc., while also talking conversationally helping put me at ease.Danielle is also hands down the most empathetic and compassionate person I have ever encountered in 35 years of medical care. I was overwhelmed and in a lot of pain, and I admit I broke down in tears at one point. Danielle was right there for me. She didnt judge, she didnt make it awkward or coldly just point me to the tissues. She spoke to me, reassured me, and after checking if it was okay, she gave me a hug. A desperately needed hug in that moment.I cannot describe how much this visit and my luck of encountering Danielle has helped to heal some of the judgement and hurt I have experienced in my home states urgent cares. The other part that made this visit so positive was the provider I saw. He also listened and heard me, and took the time to actually explain things to me, and when I had a question about an X-Ray process, he actually called Danielle back in to hear my question and we all three discussed solutions to my physical limitation.Danielles skill at conducting the x-rays was nothing short of magic. My situation was rather unique and required a modified process that she was able to plan on the spot with precise calculations, and carry out flawlessly to get the images the provider needed to ensure nothing had been broken as a result of my bad fall.NextCare is lucky to have Danielle on their team.
If I could give a zero, I absolutely would!! Its been frustrating in the past when weve walked in to these alleged walk in clinics just to be told they were full with appointments so we probably couldnt get seen. Its been a few years since weve even tried this place again. This time though, I thought I was ahead of the game and booked my appointment in the morning. The next appointment slot they had available wasnt until 2:20pm so thats the one I booked and then simply waited at home for my appointment time. Checked in 5 minutes before my appointment time, then waited. Front desk took my payment, and then I waited some more. Looked online to see how many were still in front of me, and realized that the walk-ins were getting called back before the people who had made appointments. One lady whose appointment was at 1:40, was still waiting at 3pm. If you walk in, you wait, if you make an appointment, you still wait. I asked why the walk-ins were getting called back first and was told that they had already been waiting for 2 hours. No one could explain to me why they allowed people to make appointments but then still have to wait well past any appointment time. Or why if I walked in, as I have previous times, Ive then had to wait on people who had appointments. I seriously dont see how this place stays in business. They clearly dont care about the wellbeing of the community and the people who choose to go here. I got a refund of the money they were fairly quick to collect and left almost an hour after my scheduled appointment. Lady who had an appointment at 1:40, was still waiting when we left. We will never again try this place as its simply a joke. If you dont mind sitting in a waiting room when youre ill enough to seek out a Dr, this is your place to sit and wait while you feel miserable. Whoever reads these and responds about how sorry they are for my negative experience and how they are working to make it better, dont bother. Ive heard it before. Pick another upset customer/patient to try to feed your garbage to!!
Staff was very friendly. Will definitely be going back when needed
Brought husband in with an injured finger on a Friday night. Check-in process was easy (scan and fill out paperwork on your phone) and all staff were friendly and efficient. We saw Linda on the front desk, Irene took vitals, and Thomas was the provider. X-Rays and treatment were $135 after insurance (beginning of the year, so deductible not met yet).We were impressed in general. Would go back if needed.
I booked an appointment online because I thought that would guarantee my spot but walk in patients were treated before me so I don’t understand why anyone would bother setting an appointment because it means nothing to the scheduling priority. And I don’t think the doctor was with me but maybe two minutes. Not overly pleased with my experience today sorry.
First time here on 6/30/22 around 6-8 pm. Had a bit of a wait with enrolling but thats ok. The receptionist had alot of patients and was helpful and nice. Once I was called to the back the nurse was very nice and understanding to my personal issues. The Nurse Practitioner was also understanding and made me feel very comfortable. I was in and out in about 20 minutes of seeing him. Very good experience and I definitely will be going back if need be. 10 stars if I could rate this place. Must have insurance and/or co-pay.
The staff is always amazing ! From the front desk, to the intake ( Michael ) to the provider , Thomas. My 16 month old has a start of an ear infection and other urgent cares won’t see her bc she’s so young . In and out in an hour ! Thank you guys so much !Took my oldest in and once again we saw Michael and then our provider was Thomas. They are both great ! I didn’t catch the front desks name but he was awesome as well. I love that they hardly ever have a wait and are always so good with my kids! My oldest had her throat checked and my youngest wanted hers done as well so Thomas made sure not to leave her out ! They were awesome and I will continue to see them when my primary office is closed !
Staff very friendly and professional. Had appointment, waited 30 min after appointment before nurse came. Nurse took at least 20 min to enter my info into laptop. Almost a full hour past my appointment, I finally saw the Nurse Practitioner. Very few other patients were there. Like many other places these days, I suspect that the NP was the only prescriber seeing patients.
Wait time was a little long, even with an appointment, but staff and doctors were wonderful! I didnt feel rushed during my time with the doctor and he carefully listened to all my complaints. Even took the time to go over the notes I brought in concerning previous doctor visits with same symptoms. Anytime I need urgent care, this is the place I go
I have had to visit this office more times than I care to admit. I am always seen and treated quickly here. A staff member named Dani particularly came through for me during this last visit and went above and beyond - even working hard to help me get a resolution from a mistake someone else made - despite it being almost closing hours.
Though you might have to wait even beyond your appointment time, the staff is professional and friendly which makes waiting and understanding the need for the wait understandable. Being as timely as they can be while having a huge caseload and still being as upbeat as they can during these pandemic times keeps me coming back when I’m sick. They really listen to you and your concerns and try to get you in and out as quickly as possible with a treatment plan that works! Remember health care workers are people too which is why I try to be polite in all my interactions with them as they are with me!
Very easy to set up an appointment online! This facility had the nicest people and I had a very short wait time past my appointment but I expected that, no doctors office ever runs on time. Thankful that they called in my script so I didn’t have to go to the pharmacy twice. I will definitely continue to go here.
I usually have had decent experiences at NextCare however, when I went here for a foreign body stuck in the bottom of my right foot I was extremely disappointed in the level of care I recieved. It hurts every time I walk on it. When I showed the doctor she looked at it for maybe 2 minutes and said it looked like a vein, told me I needed a tetanus shot, and put me on a week of antibiotics. I refused the shot and meds because I wanted this foreign body out so I could walk without pain in my right foot. She told me Id need a podiatrist to run a dye-guided surgery to get it out! So she referred me to a podiatrist and left. I almost felt like it was the end of day and she was rushing to get me finished so she could go home early. I ended up calling every podiatrist in Lees Summit to which they were all booked till the end of June. I ended up by chance getting an appointment with my primary who after 15 minutes removed a HAIR SPLINTER from my foot. Said I didnt need any tetanus shot or antibiotics and sent me on my way... I cant even believe the level of incompetence that nextcare has... Im thoroughly disappointed that they couldnt perform a simple extraction so I could move on with my day.
Horrible customer service. Like several other reviews, we had an appointment at 12:30 today and by 2:30 pm, still waiting to see a doctor. The front desk staff was lacking in any customer service skills and very flippant when I expressed my concern. They told me they were busy and only had 1 provider. If there is only 1 provider, they should limit their appointments or walk-ins. When I mentioned that to the front desk person, they said he has no control over that and I should contact their corporate office. I understand the front desk person doesnt control that, but the business should! I also tried to call the phone number and nobody was answering for 15 minutes. When I mentioned this to the front desk staff, they said they dont take phone calls and everyone goes through the call center. Wow! Really? What kind of joke of a place is this? Truly lacking in any customer service.
This will definitely be the urgent care my family will go to from now on. Everyone was kind, compassionate, professional, and knowledgeable. My wait time was only a few minutes, and the NP who treated me was just fantastic. Instead of just treating my symptoms like the last urgent care I went to, she listened, treated me, sent my tests off to be evaluated further, and gave me next steps if I don’t improve. Their facilities are also very nice, clean; and welcoming. It looks more like an ER than a clinic once you get back to your room (but way cheaper than the ER!).
Friendly and caring staff. I felt like they listened to my needs and did their best to address the issue.
The front receptionist was rude to my husband. She also said she would text the number provided when our turn was coming up but we never received a text or call. We had got a rapid covid test so we didnt want to wait in the packed waiting room.Other than that the nurse and staff were excellent! They were quite busy but were respectful of how long we had to wait, they were just short staffed.
I was very disappointed in how long it took to be seen with an appointment. BUT….the level of care & compassion I received made it worth the very long wait. Tabitha was great while taking vitals & getting me prepped to see the Nurse Practitioner. Angela was amazing! Kind, caring, forthcoming with info, told me what she’d be doing before doing it, and apologized for hurting me! Medical staff in the back get a 10/10 from me!
I still can’t believe how professional they are here! I barely had to wait to be seen, the nursing staff was very helpful and showed concern for my well-being. They actually care! The front desk associate Chris was very positive, the Medical Assistant Irene helped me feel at ease, and the NP Thomas was very informative and easy going. All in all, I’ve had a great experience here! Thank you for all of your help!
Went to get my daughter COVID tested. Did not make an appointment and used the walk in process. The clinic was very busy, but the staff was pleasant. Due to the triage plan and working around appointments it took the better part of 4-4.5 hours. The app that tracked your place in line was nice to use. When seen the nurse and NP were quick and efficient and concerned with how long it took to be seen. All said and done, a good clinic. 😊
I sliced my finger on a Sunday evening. The only place open was this NextCare Urgent Care in Lees Summitt, MO. I was able to get in snd out in under an hour. Everyone was very pleasant. First time I have ever had to get urgent treatment and stitches. Highly recommend this place! Thank you so much!
I have been to multiple different urgent cares, but this one was like none other I have been too. We made an appointment at 9:30 am today, but decided we couldn’t wait any longer because my husband was in too much pain.We went in at 8:15 and they got us right in. once we got the worker’s comp insurance all sorted, we were in and out super quick. All staff was super friendly, especially the receptionist— she was amazing! Wish I had caught her name :(This was honestly the best urgent care experience either of us had ever had!!
Self Check in was easy And other than they expected wait - excellent experience. The nurse who checked me in once admitted was friendly and helpful. Thomas Sims, FNP was awesome. Great Bedside manners! (And a Chiefs Fan)
The only reason Im giving this a 2 instead of a 1 is the nurse that I saw. She was very nice and helpful. The rest of my experience was awful. I had an appointment, so I arrived 5 minutes early and checked in. An hour later I was still waiting. There was one person in front of me who had an appointment but 3 people who were walk-ins. The website said appointment needed. What is the point of appointments if you allow walk-ins? I ended up being there for 2 hours and never saw an actual doctor. I left after finally going back out of the exam room and asking to simply get my results. I would only recommend this place if you need a same day covid test and everywhere else is booked up.
This was the kindest office I have been to in a long time. Maybe ever. They were quick efficient and reasonably priced. They saw me even though I showed up right at closing time and were caring and good. The reception lady was funny and nice, the nurse was efficient and kind and the doctor was amazing. Thank you!
Made an 8am appointment and filled all paperwork out online. No one was there when I arrived. I waited until 8:30am and the place was still dark. The national NextCare line couldn’t reach anyone either and apologized for the inconvenience. I had to find childcare in order to come to this appointment and now I cannot get in anywhere else for hours. Very very frustrating.
This office has helped me in more ways than I can explain. Everyone is genuinely invested in your getting better, feeling better, and doing better. I appreciate everyone at this office. The social worker here was proactive in finding help for my leaking roof, which lead me to the habitat program who not only fixed my roof, but completely replaced it with a custom 30 yr shingle combined with steel in the front. They also gave me a high efficiency furnace, hot water heater, and central air system. Then replaced my front room picture window and perpaired the other 21 windows and rewrapped them with aluminum as well as major water damage repaires inside my home. The social worker here and the Independence Habitat turned my house into a home where I can take pride in my home, live and work comfortably. Unfortunately, as greatful as I am now the city if Independence city hall, in their incompetence, racist, bullying and threatening ways are trying to remove me out of my beautiful home. Ive lived here for 4 years and it took over 2 years. Unfortunately, The City of Independence (city hall) are refusing to allow a custom 6ft fence to use for protection to help keep me and my pets safe. Even though Caliber Collison has a 10ft 7voltage electric fence right across the street. But as for me, being African American Im not allowed to protect myself per Joshua Garrett and the Superintendent at Independence City Hall. However, if I were Caucasian I can have the fence for protection but since Im black I guess Ill need to purchase a fire arm to help combat the rising crime in Independence Mo. to protect myself, my pets and my property and my house is not for sale and I will NOT be moving anytime soon. This is my home and I have a right to feel safe in my beautiful home. The Independence City hall has decided to do whatever they can to discredit me, and remove me from my home while denying me permission to protect myself. I will not tolerate this behavior and I will proceed with protecting myself, my pets and my assets.Carolyn Richardson
I have taken my elderly mom to this Urgent Care for a number of years. I have been very pleased from the front desk person, to the care givers who take her vitals and the provider who examines her. Ive never once left without them correctly assessing what her needs were. I would recommend this facility.
Made an appt online for a Saturday, and they saw me promptly, was in and out in about an hour….staff was all friendly, office was clean and well maintained. Would definitely go in again for any/all urgent care needs! Being able to schedule online, same-day appt, was a great option, didn’t have to wait like typical urgent cares.
This is a great place and very efficient! The team is very professional and quick! We have been several times and have always gotten the best care. Thank you!
I showed up earlier and was assisted within 10 minutes! Amazing customer service, I was just scanned for COVID (negative) and was just recommended to take over the counter prescriptions. Very clean and established atmosphere. I most definitely will go here again for my medical needs.
Had a great visit. Everyone was very polite and made me feel comfortable. Thank you Linda, Irene and Summer. No one ever actually wants to go to urgent care but I will recommend here if they have to go.
I will never go back to this place ever again. I’ve taken my wife and son there on two separate occasions. Both times the provider said they didn’t know what was going on and to just follow up with primary care later. This last time is what did it for me. The provide palpated my sons neck (because of a knot on it) for 10seconds. He followed it up with I have no idea what’s wrong his neck its swollen. Oh but here is a prescription to go get an ultrasound at another facility. Oh by the way, you will have to wait till Monday when they open. When we left. I had to pay a $150 co-pay. Just looked at my insurance EOB. And they charged an additional $200 for the visit just to tell me his neck is swollen when anyone could have given me that diagnosis. Also the lady at the front desk was slightly rude and trying to do the job of 3 different people. While talking to me, she would stop to engage someone else all while trying to deal with me. I asked a question at one point to which she completely ignored the question and never provided and answer. The online reservation portal was not working and she acting as though it was the biggest inconvenience for her to have me fill out the paper work for the check-in and questionnaire.
Had a great experience from the front desk to my nurse and the provider. Wait wasn’t too long and received amazing care. They were very thorough and listened to my concerns. Would definitely recommend!
The staff was amazing! Thomas the nurse practitioner was very friendly and had a great bedside manner, so did Ronelle. The only thing I didnt like was the check in process. Although I think electronic methods can save us time, it actually took longer. There are a couple of glitches that need to be fixed otherwise everything else was excellent!
Everyone was extremely friendly and professional. There were several people ahead of me in line. I was feeling very sick so a long wait sounded less than ideal. However, they got me in surprisingly fast and made the whole ordeal including testing quite rapid. I would definitely recommend this little clinic to anyone needing to be seen quickly.
A great place, friendly helpful staff. Highly recommend. Easy to get in and out
I went into this facility on Thursday March 9th around 5:45 pm. I first checked online for a wait time. Web said zero patients waiting, I was only 3 minutes away. I get there, fill out the paper, gave it to the guy at the desk. He then proceeds to tell me “we have no doctor in tonight”. Are you kidding me? I said to him why didn’t you tell me this before I filled out the paperwork? Totally ridiculous and a waste of my time. Then, 2 girls come up from just giggling and laughing, being loud, guy at the desk joined in. Totally unprofessional!! I told them I would go elsewhere. So, I was scrambling trying to find somewhere else to go. These employees working that night need a talking too. And don’t bother responding with a pre written apology script that everyone seems to get when they have a bad experience here.
Honestly, I would rate of it 5 star off of previous services provided but I am super sick today and drove myself into the facility because all appointments were booked online and the site said walk-ins were accepted only to be turned around. When I mentioned the website, the receptionist said We are supposed to change that. Supposed to! Im sorry, sick people dont know supposed to. Especially when no one answers the phone. I did my due diligence before going in. Can you all do your and change your website. This is super frustrating to a sick person. Thanks. Photo provided proving walk-ins were supposed to be accepted.
Katie was so informative, helpful and show compassion. And the Front Desk/Radiologist that wears many hats was so helpful! This was a follow up appointment and it was like a different place from the moment in entered. The environment was so pleasant! Although I was in a lot of pain they all made me feel better. Thank you !
Primary care couldn’t get me in for weeks, so I came to Urgent Care. They got me in quickly and were able to helpMe with my pain the same day.
NextCare Urgent Care in Lee’s Summit was great!! The front desk was friendly & the ease of having all my paperwork filled out from the app was very convenient. The Nurse, X-Ray Tech & Physician’s Assistant were great & very helpful. Very well ran facility!
NextCare is best urgent care facility in our area. The providers and staff are always pleasant and the wait is reasonable with walk-ins and appointments.
They were great from start to finish! Never thought i would say I enjoyed going to urgent care, but everyone was so nice and personable! The Dr. Went above and beyond to spend a little extra time with me in making a recommendation, too!
Ive always had a pleasant time with my visits here! Lisa in the front office was super polite, as well as Irene and Tiffany. Urgent care is always my place to go for anything medical related!
Absolutely the best experience Ive ever had at an urgent care facility. Staff were super friendly and very knowledgeable. Wait time was unbelievably short also. Have already recommended to a few people. Ill definitely be coming here, if needed, from now on!
I am still waiting for a call back to let me know if my ankle is sprained or broken.
Check in was great, the cleanliness of the facility was great. Medical assistant was great, the nurse practitioner was awful. I came in for a sinus infection. So they Covid test me and it comes back negative. I mentioned that I had Covid twice and was pretty confident I didn’t have it to begin with. That set her off, she then proceeded to tell me “you look like you have Covid to me” She escalated the conversation into an argument and would not take anything I said at that point seriously. She stepped out and was going to write me a prescription I could fill three days later if the pain persisted. She never conducted an exam on me, never looked up my nose, never examined my right eye that had been weeping for two days, never looked in my ears, she never left the counter across the room the computer sat on. At that point I got up and walked out. Guess what, the next place did actually examine me and I got the treatment I needed. I served 13 years as an amphibious reconnaissance corpsman with the Marine corps, including three tours in Afghanistan. I treated my insurgent patients better than she treated me, such a disappointment to say the least.
The staff is fantastic. They make you feel cared for and really took the time to explain things and be sure they addressed all my concerns and then some. They were effective, efficient and on time as well. Highly recommend. I Made an appointment online and it’s hands-free check-in. Super simple.
They are amazing especially the lady at the front desk!!!!
My daughter was seen and sent for an X-ray. We have waited 3 days and have called at least 6 times to get the X-ray results. We keep getting told someone will call us back and yet we still haven’t heard. We are now going to have to take her somewhere else to get another X-ray done because these doctors could care less about calling us with results.
I used the app and made an appointment before hand! Unfortunately I had some insurance problems but luckily I had other options available. The staff was very friendly!
This place is unique with attention, and how they treat the customers. I will come back here and make it the place to go when I can’t have a doctor appointment. The customer service is extraordinary!Front desk lady is very nice and make feel welcomed!Maria has great hands examining or administering a test, especially swapping your nose. I highly recommend it! 🙌🏻👏🏽❤️🏆👌🏽
Not sure why they take appointments. We booked for 6pm. Showed up with my family and we’re told they didn’t have enough providers working and that we’d have to wait an hour and a half.Everyone was very polite and the facility itself is fine. I’d just prefer they not take appointments that they can’t honor. I’d have gone somewhere else yesterday and waited in line, if I had known. Instead I decided to postpone a day for an appointment time. What a frustrating waste. Also, the “skip the line and make an appointment” marketing all over the Solv mobile app they make you use is extra obnoxious under these circumstances. I can’t figure out how to actually view my place in the line while using it… and I design software for a living. It’s not that hard.Update: I am upgrading this review from 1 to 3 stars as the care and service we received was excellent and accommodating. As stated above the appointment process still needs a lot of work.
Calling customer service had a bit of a hold time before reaching an agent but she was pleasant and helpful. Check in was quick and easy. I was told I would check in at a certain time but didnt get in until about 15 minutes later. Compared to other area walk-in clinics this is still impressive. The med tech and doctor were quick but attentive. I got exactly what I needed. Feedback regarding billing to come.
I was able to get an appointment on my first visit. Recepionist, nurses and the Dr wereall professional and answered all my questions. They calmed my nerves too. I was in and out in about 45 minutes. My last visit to an ER took well over 6 hours and then they did not really do anything. I was out $2000 last ER visit. I do my best to avoid them. Thank God for NextCare urgent care.
Upon walking in I was very impressed. This building is super clean, newly built/remodeled and had super friendly and helpful front desk staff. Not to mention the nurse and provider on staff (Jenny Irwin) were are incredibly helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. Had a terrible cold and ear infection. Set an appt but still had a long wait time. This is to be expected and Im not going to give such an incredible clinic bad reviews for a slightly longer wait time than desired since I was able to get in the first half of the day I decided to go! Highly recommend :)
I thought they were very professional and polite. It was super fast once I got into the doctor’s office but I waited an hour and a half in the waiting room! I even made an appointment online and it still didn’t make a difference. They were still taking walk ins before me.The only other nice thing is that they had sanitized masks you could wear in the waiting room. Highly recommended especially if you have a weakened immune system due to pregnancy or other reasons.
Nurse Practitioner not medically knowledgeable. I explained my blood sugars were nearly 300. She remarked, That is OK. That is what blood sugar her dad consistently had. She is incorrect. Normally an ideal blood sugar should not be over 120-130. ignorance.Felt She rushed me through my visit and I felt uncomfortable.
If you are expecting Urgent Care, dont come here. After scheduling me at 11am I waited 1.5 hours to be seen for a COVID test. Spoke to the front desk lady and she told me 6 people were in front of me, which means at least 7 people that day were waiting at least 1.5 hours. I asked if I could come back and what time I should come back, and we determined based on my schedule and such that I could come back around 4, so I did. The front desk staff is awesome and she got me bumped up but there were several others there who had been waiting 3+ hours. I couldnt take listening to everyone elses sob story and everyone being upset, especially since it wasnt staffs fault. I had them cancel my appointment so others could go instead.Just to be clear - staff is fine, but clearly this practice is poorly managed. I dont know if its a standard process all of NextCare facilities follow, but the fact that staff stated its been like this since COVID started means they have a process in place and arent adapting. It is not just disrespectful to waste at least 8 hours of peoples time in a given day, it is criminally inefficient to waste that much time daily for a year.Just because insurance might be paying the bills I urge you to never forget that as a patient, you are the customer and you have a choice in where you/your insurance company spends money.Dont waste your time here.
I was greeted by all staff, very friendly. The app was easy to use and the waiting list worked very well for walk in appointments. The staff was very professional and took time to answer all my questions even when they were very overrun with many appointments. I would definitely go there again when needed!
I would not recommend this clinic. Poor customer service and healthcare provided. Not the best experience, we will not be returning to the this clinic, if needed. Its been 3 weeks and I am still trying to figure where the script they called in is.
Always super quick and everyone is very friendly
Tabitha and Katie are amazing!!! I came in feeling awful and they were both very kind, informative and overall a joy to be around. It is so hard to find decent customer service right now, and they knocked it out of the park!!!! Thank you so much for taking care of me. You guys truly show you care about your patients and look at them more than just a paycheck.
Lynn the receptionist was very helpful in walking me through the online questionnaire as well as answering any questions I asked. Very welcoming atmosphere and clean facility. The NP knew what was going on with me when I showed her what was wrong. I recommend this Lee Summit NextCare Urgent Care as a go to place to visit if you have something going with you. Great staff and knowledgeable in their field.
Nice online check in and quick appointment options but I didn’t even get checked out for what I was there for. I paid my copay for them to check my blood pressure and they sent me to the hospital to be seen.
A couple of days ago (Dec 29) I came here for a sudden and abnormal high blood pressure (no prior history). After waiting for 2 & ½ hours I was finally checked by a back staff lady who confirmed what my monitor in my home was reading. I was taken to a room to wait for a passionate doctor (or maybe not) to see me in hopes that they can provide some relief. A lady (Summer M. according to the feedback card I was given) walked into the room and as she stood by the door quickly said “So you have high BP what can I do for you?”. I was really shocked as I was not expecting that from a professional person. She insisted that there was absolutely nothing that she could do and offered little explanation why urgent care is not equipped to treat my case. It was evident from the very brief conversation we had that the lady is a little insensitive and not too keen to help me or to take some time and educate me on anything related to my case (again I have never been diagnosed previously with high blood pressure). During our conversation (a few minutes at best) she never fully entered the room and was standing by the door and as I was leaving she says “you need to be monitored as needed and that’s why we were taught not to attend these cases so when you die in three days your wife does not come after me”. She was rude, not very careful with her choice of words, and not tactful. I was completely disappointed that I had to spend all that time waiting to be seen only to be sent home without any treatment and on top of that as I was leaving she kept repeating “plz take care of yourself” but in my mind I was thinking “is she being sarcastic, isn’t that why I’m here at an urgent care facility in the first place?”. That person was not friendly or very helpful and she should be avoided if possible because she seemed to have an attitude.
Excellent service and care! Friendly staff and take time to listen.
Staff was really friendly and I got in and out quickly!
The Urgency Room was a pleasant and quick experience. The reception staff was extremely knowledgeable and explained all billing items in short detail. The medical assistant was courteous and patient with me. The Doctor took care of my issues without hesitation. I was in and out in no time at all. The facility was very clean, well maintained and the staff went above and beyond.
Really like this urgent care. Thanks!10/3/2022. Was in and out in 30 minutes. I booked my appointment online. Front staff Linda checked me right in. Nurse Irene took my vitals. Dr. Thomas Sims gave me Mt diagnosis and Rx and I was on my way to pick up my Rx. Always go here because they care and are thorough. Last year Dr. Sims helped get my husband who had covid. Thanks NextCare Urgent Care! Linda
I made an appointment for my wife to get a covid rapid test. Their website says to register online to speed the process when you arrive. After arriving for her appointment, she checked in for her test. She also tried to call to let them know she was waiting in the lot as instructed on their website. After 45 minutes of waiting, she goes inside and the lady at the front desk says she isn’t using their online system to check people in, since she doesn’t know how to use it. Don’t bother with the online system, just walk in and talk to somebody, because they don’t use the registration system or their phones.
Once seen, I have no complaints. The appointment process leaves a lot to be desired. I echo several other reviews here about setting an appointment for seemingly no reason. I checked in online from my car at 11:46am for my 12:00pm appointment. The app directed me to a waitlist, which was handy. At about 12:10pm the app showed I was next. By 12:15pm, I was not on the list. Around 12:30pm I received a text that I was #4. Fearing that I was being overlooked, I went to wait in the waiting room. I’m glad I did, I never received any notification that I was up next. I’m not sure what would have happened if I wasn’t inside to hear my name called - an hour and 15 minutes after I checked in.
I have been here a few times and had good experiences. However when I went for a recheck with a scheduled appointment, I sat for an hour and a half before brought to the back and sat anther 45 min for a brief less than 20 minutes with Dr and then waited again for discharge papers. Only 2 other patients were in there at my appointment time. Not happy w the wait
Showed up unaware I needed an appointment and was welcomed by Shelly saying not to worry that they will see me. She was very kind and helpful. Ronelle and Thomas were also very kind and professional. I didnt have to wait long to be seen either. Definitely recommend! Thank you all!
Checked in online was taken back very quickly. Everyone was very professional and friendly. From Lynn at the front desk to Ronnell and Maria in the back and the the Provider Katie it was great. They were very compassionate and cared about my Daughter and how she felt
Had to come in for sudden back pain that wouldnt let me sleep! Everyone was super nice and compassionate, and the little app that tells you how many patients youre behind in line is extremely helpful for braving said pain in the waiting room. Very thorough, knowledgeable, and clean! After a few bad experiences with carenow in the past (not the fault of carenows staff and probably more the fault of the corporation stretching them so thin) this was very refreshing. Will absolutely use nextcare again if I get another injury. :)
We chose to come here as we were able to make an appointment ahead of time. The wait was over an hour. If we had known that we would have gone to a clinic closer by and joined their wait list instead.
Highly recommend the Urgency Room! Good experience, & great medical attention. Everyone nice, professional, and caring! You can get in & out fairly quick - u can call 30 min ahead of time to put your name on the wait list. The nurses and Dr Richard was so nice and professional. I will go back again and again!
Thomas is the best. He has gone above and beyond every time.
When I went in yesterday the lady at the front was rude. I made an appointment for today and the app wasn’t working to check-in so I went in to make sure I was good to go and on the list. She told me, yes and to wait in my car. Super professional and kind. After waiting in my car for over an hour I went in again to see what was goi g on. They told me to have a seat and that I was up next. I sat in the waiting room (with Covid) for over 5 mins before I was taken back. When I went back the nurse was professional and efficient. I was told to wait in a room for 20 minutes while my test proceeded. The sweet nurse came in about 30 minutes later to tell me they were going to be done soon. I was in there at least 20 more minutes and for a total of 2 hours. I love our health care workers and I know we are busy but we’ve got to do better. I would go back in hopes that I maybe just fell through the cracks.
Very quick and friendly staff! Went to CareNow even checked in prior to arrival and waited for message to come in that I never received for them to tell me they dont take my sons insurance. Definitely recommend NextCare!
I came in about an hour before they closed, to get a covid test. The employees were polite and professional! The facility was clean and offered ample room for social distancing! When I checked in there were 5 people ahead of me!! It only took 1.5 hrs for my entire visit, including paperwork, wait time, physician visit, and testing. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the temperature was hot and the lighting in the waiting room seemed very dull/dim.
The process was very speedy and efficient. In and out quickly.
Excellent speed and service! And you can reserve/check in ahead of time and then they send you a text when its 30 mins to your appointment - super simple and convenient. The doctor there was able to treat my urgent need (poison ivy outbreak) with a shot, and a prescription for topical cream, and i was on my way. I was 100% satisfied with the entire process and the facility and staff.
Super friendly, informative, professionally qualified staff & medical team. I am a retired firefighter & felt the advice & care provided was excellent. These are dedicated and overwhelmed people who are assisting us when we are in need. They deserve our thanks and gratitude for a job well done! Thanks😇❗️
Went to NextCare yesterday with my son, was unable to walk or put any weight on his foot. The Dr ask for a x ray came back in and told us it was not broken I dont know whats wrong with it , ice and elevate go see a specialist. They gave us his X-rays to take with us this morning he is seeing the specialist and the disc that was given to us is some ones hand. Unbelievable !!!!!
I was treated today for an allergic reaction to a hornet sting. All of the staff were fantastic. They treated my issue with the urgency it required, the RT who gave me the injection was super skilled, and the doc really took the time to talk to me and make sure I understood the necessary follow up care.Fantastic experience.
Well, first thing is I made an appointment for 3:30, got there 15 minutes early and didnt get seen until 4:15. The waiting room was not busy, only a few people. Of those people, 2 were in there for possible covid exposure. Having people getting tested for possible covid exposure in the same waiting room as other patients is incompetent and reckless. Once we were finally seen 45 minutes after our scheduled appointment, the nurse had no idea what my son was there to be seen for though I had filled out the description when I made the appointment and then again on their paperwork prior to the appointment. When we talked with the nurse she said that what I brought my son in for they did not have the right medical equipment for the examination. I understand that but this information could have been given to me prior to me wasting an hour and a half there , with an hour of that spent in a waiting room with patients possibly exposed to covid, had they read the description i gave on my sons condition. Positive note, the staff was friendly and I was not charged for the appointment.
Danielle R and Kendall changed this review from 1 star for Thomas to 5 stars for Danielle fixing the issue. Was in Tuesday night the 28th with 2 smashed fingers, back Wednesday morning the 29th for actual medical care.Xrays were taken and was told neither were broken and to keep doing what Im doing. Even when Thomas was questioned further, he was unable to provide specific care recommendations. The only thing Thomas did correctly was to call me later that evening to admit he made a mistake and both fingers were broken.Fast forward to my second visit the next morning. Explained the situation to Kendall and immediately with much empathy, she took me back to see Danielle.Danielle took the time to explain the findings, splint and wrap both fingers, and provide specific care instructions. Thank you, Danielle, for going above and beyond under your care!
I had a great experience at NextCare Urgent Care. I was not feeling well and the got me in and out quickly. Everyone there treated me with kindness and I would definitely go back.
Great experience. Staff was kind. On time with appointment. Doc was fantastic, with good bedside manner!
I felt the urgent care was responsible when l went in for a severe insect or spider bite on my hand. To be fair l was seen at the last minute. When l saw the physician assistant she did an excellent job of assessing my situation and gave good advice however l had come in rather late in the evening to avoid an emergency room visit if possible. She asked me where l wanted the script sent and l told her the name of the pharmacy that suited me the best. I never thought about the fact that it was not a 24 hr pharmacy and so unfortunately l got good advice but no medication. The sad part of the situation was that l drove back to the clinic a second time to get the script redirected to a 24 hour pharmacy and avoid the ER. I was told by the receptionist at the front desk that she would be glad to take care of the matter however when l went to pick up my prescription it was unavailable and l had to tough the night out without medication.
Very long wait time with no explanation or check in with patients. Front desk person took a personal phone call while working the front desk and was very curt with everyone. She kept coughing but didnt wear a mask at all.
If I could give zero stars, I would! Don’t waste your time. I called a day ahead to schedule an appointment for my 5 year old son to get a rapid covid test. I was assured that this clinic does rapid tests and that as long as the physician felt it necessary, they would provide one. I arrived to our scheduled appointment early (because I knew walk-ins were also welcome and there’s a chance someone else might squeeze in at my appt time). Once I checked in online from my car, I waited 30 mins AFTER the appt time should’ve started before I decided to go inside and see what was going on. I had my 5 year old twins in the car with me. I was advised that I’d get a text message when it was time to come inside which delighted me to be able to avoid having to wait in a room with others who were potentially sick. Fast forward another 30 mins, (so at this point I’ve been waiting for an hour past appt time to be seen) I get a text that my son can come in and is ready to be seen. I already pre-uploaded all of our insurance information, so I was under the impression that it was literally time to go back into a room. WRONG! Me (33 weeks pregnant), and my two 5 year olds were forced to sit in the full waiting room for 30 mins before I overheard the person at the front desk telling another patient that they don’t have rapid covid tests. The WHOLE reason I booked an appointment at a risky urgent care was for the rapid test because no pharmacies had any available for days. No one told me that although my appointment request was marked as “seeking rapid covid test,” that they only offered the molecular one (this is after I checked on the phone twice and also online). I am extremely upset to have arrived to my appointment early, waited over 1.5 hours past the appointment time, and still not be able to conduct the business we came there to conduct. We left without being seen. At the same time, 2 other separate patients left for the same reason because they were under the impression that they’d be able to get a rapid test. Communication goes a long way, and if someone had said that from the very beginning, I could’ve made a different decision for the care of my children (risking further exposure to others and my pregnant self assuming that my son’s test would come back negative). I would not recommend anyone in a compromising and troubling position to go here if this is the kind of thing that they do. No one even apologized for my struggles or acted like they cared. I am not one to act out in public regardless of how furious I am, so the lack of compassion given my behavior about the situation has really left it’s mark on me.
The lady at the desk was very nice and smiley, but I had to wait at least 45 minutes while I was already in the treatment room. I had a UTI which at any time could spread to my kidneys, and there were 5 doctors out in front of my treatment room that could have helped me for those 45 minutes...but all I heard was talking and chit chatting. For an Urgency Room, it wasnt urgent at all. The man who came to treat me after 45 minutes was super nice though. I was the only one in the emergency room at the time. Everyone else had gotten through theirs and were gone.
I came to this location in the evening seeking immediate treatment for an horrid allergic skin reaction, and it was after-hours for my primary doctor. The staff were friendly and quick, and the practitioner who saw me (first name Catie) was respectful and shared her knowledge with me. Gave me treatment and recommended over the counter items to supplement what I received today. I will never go to another clinic again if Im in need of immediate attention.
Most fun I’ve had in a hospital setting. The front desk administrative assistant (Lindsey?) was funny while keeping her professionalism. The process was timely and streamlined. I have an intense fear of needles (Blood Injection Injury Phobia) and the nurses (Irene and Shatara) were so understanding, kind, and respectful. Both of them were personable and kept the conversation lighthearted (per my request to use distraction techniques). Shatara’s care was quick and painless. When I felt dizzy, Irene had a take charge attitude and knew exactly what to do. I felt like I was in excellent care. Strongly recommend. 10 stars if I could rate that high.
Thomas, the physician, is perhaps the most down-to-earth doctor I’ve worked with. He was knowledgeable and helpful, simplifying a complicated prescription refill. I’m grateful.
Dr.Summers is by far the best Doctor I have seen in a while. She was compassionate and informative. You could definitely tell she cares about her patient’s.
The poor receptionist / check in person was swamped. They need better signs at the front explaining the check in process. It’s very disorganized only because the receptionist didn’t let people with appointments know they could come right in. She said they told her she couldn’t put a sign up. That’s just crazy ridiculous. It creates confusion and chaos at the door. That being said I want to mention a couple of things. They do Covid testing here and they do not keep Covid patients separate from other patients so be aware if that’s a concern for you. Once I got back to the patient rooms I was not impressed by the fact they have curtains between patient rooms so honestly you could hear between the curtains if other patients were next to you. Other places have rooms with glass or normal rooms separating patients. The people who treated me were not doctors but they did a good job.I was satisfied with the place overall.
Great experience! Called 5 days later to make necessary adjustments to medical tx in addition to prescription I received upon visit. Had to wait- but that’s expected at an urgent care.
I have been here previously and liked the service. But this last time I made an appointment online for a covid test. I get there and check in online, the lady behind the counter asks why I need the test, I let her know it is for my employer and she says my insurance isn’t going to pay for it and it will be over $100 out of pocket. I leave and contact my insurance provider and I am told they do cover covid testing. Ended up using the CVS covid testing instead. This place was a waste of time. Will not go back.
The only complaint is the front desk lady was not friendly at all. I understand she was busy but still its a customer service role. She could use more help as there were a lot of check ins. No one explained the delay until we had been called back. 3hr wait for COVID test.
We were having a horrible time finding anywhere that could do a PCR covid test for us to fly out in 4 days. Nextcare had walk ins available and we were in and out in 20 mins. The staff was so friendly and helpful and even took us back together. Best experience after a horrible issue with Walgreens. We can’t wait for our vacation and they made it so much better.
Excellent care! Super kind staff! Everyone was so nice.
I took my 6 year old in with a high fever. Every person who talked to us was awesome with him. I didnt expect that given its not a facility specializing in children. They made it a stress free visit for my little guy and Im very thankful!
Very friendly staff. The doctor took his time and explained my situation well. Highly recommend when you cant wait 2 weeks to see your PCP.
Scheduled appointment online, completed all paperwork online and when I got there for my appointment I only waited 5-10 min. Nurse and Doctor were friendly and explained everything very well. I have went to this urgent care facility many times and I am always happy with experience.
My 19 year old daughter had a horrible rash. Took her to our family doctor on a Friday. It was worse on Monday so I took her to The Urgency Room In Lees Summit. I figured wed have a long wait, it was 5:30 pm, but they called us back shortly after we finished paper work. We took in all 3 meds family doctor prescribed. Found out the cream they gave her was making it worse. Nurse and nurse practitioner we saw were both amazing! Didnt make us wait. Both saw us in less than 10 minutes. Made my daughter feel comfortable. Even with getting two shots. With our insurance the visit was only $15 more than our doctor. Totally recommend them to anyone!
Very modern, but that doesnt impress me as much as the nursing and support staff. The people are really nice. I was so thankful they were open during this holiday. The whole staff cared about my health. The nurse treated my 2 year old son well. I didnt have a sitter to leave him with. The nurse took time to make him comfortable with a drink and snack, and she played with him a moment. The nurse and the doctor smiled. Im afraid of the doctor normally. Their friendliness made me feel at ease.As a mom, Im thankful I have a place to go with good people, who understand family needs. I arrived tearful and feeling ill. I left with a smile and hope.
I had excellent customer service. Medical staff were professional plus personal; they had good bedside manners. It was a blessed experience. Thank you. God’s continued blessings to all who work there.
I stopped by this afternoon to check on a severe sore throat with swelling. There was only one patient waiting before me and after only about 10 minutes I was called back to an examination room. I was seen quickly, swabbed for strep, and received very good care. I have recommended this facility to family and friends and will continue to do so.
I have used this facility several times and would definitely recommend it over many of the other urgent care facilities in the area. The staff have always been polite to me and I have never found the wait time onerous. It does take a little bit to be seen, but no worse and in many cases better than if I go to another walk-in clinic. The only reason Im not giving the facility a 5-star is because at times the doctors can seem rushed when they visit with you. The nursing staff are great, really take the time to listen and I do feel like the doctors care but are forced to be rushed because of the high volume of work they do. I dont blame them for that, but might encourage them to hire more FNPs perhaps or something to help decrease the rushed feeling? All -in-all I have always appreciated their information, help and attention to care. I feel like they do a great job in a place and field where all too often you find sub-par care. Keep up the good work guys. Ill be back again when I need it.
Very nice employees. Helped with everything that was needed. Hard for me to hear properly. Dr was very helpful with my visit.
First and last time I go to this place I do not recommend it to anyone, I went because I had a traffic accident and I was a little hurt.Too bad you have to put a star, they charged me a $190 fee to be served, now they tell me that I owe $15, they sent me a payment request to my home but they dont explain why?The worst of all is that they did not attend me, when I entered the office the doctor said that the best thing was for me to go to a hospital. And they werent going to charge me.Until now they do not return the money and now they want more money.
