I normally don’t leave reviews, but I felt this was necessary because I’m very thankful for my wonderful care! I was originally going to Dr. Veloudis for fertility, but got pregnant naturally one week before my appointment. I had a difficult pregnancy and multiple complications, but always felt confident that Amy and Dr. Veloudis were watching everything carefully. I am so thankful I have a healthy baby boy now because of them and also that I’m healthy. Amy is so kind and really takes her time to make sure all your concerns are always addressed. Dr. Veloudis is a bit more straight to the point, but I like that about him. I still always felt like I was always listened to and my health and my baby’s health were always priority. I had a rough pregnancy, but wonderful delivery with Dr. Veloudis and knew I was in wonderful hands.

I have been a patient with dr veloudis and Amy for about 13-14 years now . He delivered both of my babies . Amy is always so kind and caring . I feel like she’s non judgemental and always so kind . Dr V is straight to business … which I like. I have always appreciated how he’s straight to the point and don’t sugar coat things . He’s also delivered for other members in my family as well. I truly feel like this place is family . Thanks for caring for myself and my kiddos

I suppose Dr. Veloudis is a good doctor, if you happen to not use Medicaid for insurance. I was a patient of his 14 years ago, I still remember the experience with distaste. One the first visit to the last I was treated rather coldly. As though I did not belong in his office. My questions and concerns were placated or dismissed. Upon becoming ill early in pregnancy I was offered referrals to abortion facilities multiple times in a very uncaring fashion. Thankfully , I am a Catholic and dismissed this advice. Any other advice had to be dug out of him by my family members or myself . I tried to change facilities multiple times. However, at that time Medicaid OBGYNs were not plentiful in Lexington,at least ones excepting new patients. I had to accept that he was better than nothing , but just barely. Like I said if you have private insurance, or live on that side of town maybe he is better at providing care. For myself and several friends I can say either Medicaid or our address made him treat us crappy. Just a warning dont fall on hard times , or God forbid live on the wrong side of the tracks and expect great care here, you will not receive it.

14 1/2 years ago my last name was not Keller! My last name changed, the fact he is by far the worst doctor I have EVER met is still a fact… and his staff wasn’t much better! I watched a girl in labor begging for help, the nurses said she was faking I ask that she take my appointment I could reschedule… instead they checked her… she was in fact in labor and then I was able to go in for my check up, all the while the nurses talked about how the girl was in labor but no one believes her because she was always overly dramatic…. Very unprofessional.Save yourself grief, pain and ptsd! If you want a good birthing experience keep scrolling… check any where but with George Veloudis JR

Dr Veloudis has delivered both of my babies. He was fantastic both times. I was a big baby throughout both pregnancies and he catered to every need and worry I had. His PA Amy is the most kind hearted woman. She always puts you first. His staff is the most friendly people of any doctors office Ive went to. I would highly suggest him to anyone that is currently pregnant, planning to become pregnant or needs assistance getting pregnant. I promise you wont regret going to him.

Dr Veloudis and PA Amy Claxon are both great and knowledgeable. Caring and kind, HOWEVER his office staff are TERRIBLE! I had been seeing him for four years, he performed two DNC and was directing me into pregnancy. As I am 34 years old and have never been pregnant and don’t have any children. We already tried a couple infertility methods and was getting ready to try a new one, until I accumulated a bill due to my insurance not covering a necessary procedure that left me to owe less than $1000 that I made payments on every month. I was sent to a collection agency and was talked to very rudely and inconsiderately by his office staff. Now, I am forced to find another doctor and start over, and pay for a bill I had already planned on paying and not even see him... and to top it off, I had to quit my monthly medications cold turkey because of the bill I was paying on, the doctor refused to give me refills (water pill, diabetic med, potassium, thyroid medication, and anti anxiety medication) Dr Veloudis may or may not know about this, but patient care is clearly not the priority anymore...

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Veloudis & staff! Super friendly & personable. Highly recommend this office to anyone struggling with infertility. After 3 years & 2 different doctors we decided to try one more office, & I am so thankful we did! We got answers, & better than that we are now the proud parents to a beautiful healthy baby!

This was the worst experience Ive ever had in a doctors office. The PA, Amy was actually wonderful during my first visit (routine pap smear and exam,) but upon finding out that I was pregnant, I was scheduled for a 8 week ultrasound. Dr. Veloudis did not acknowledge me or my husband when he came to the room, he didnt say our names or introduce himself. I was confused as to why I had to undress from the waist down since Id only known about ultrasounds on top of your belly. The doctor shoved a wand into my vagina without warning or explaining ANYTHING to me. Only after I asked -- Is it just one baby? He answered (the first thing he said) Yes. One pregnancy. It was our first time hearing our babys heartbeat and it was not magical or exciting because of this awful man. I dont know if he was having a terrible day or he treated me this way because I am a woman of color and he assumed I didnt speak English or didnt deserve to be treated like a human. As a matter of fact, my English is exemplary and I think all pregnant women and women of color should AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS.It took me nearly two years to write this review, but I feel it is my responsibility to warn others to not go here.

First delivery with this practice was amazing! Especially with the P.A. Amy. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the second pregnancy. Office visits took 2-3 hours each time, limited information was given during the visits and bedside manner had declined greatly. The staff had a complete turnover and the new staff was unprofessional and even spoke badly about the doctor to the patients. Luckily, I switched doctors before delivery and have had a wonderful experience with the new practice! Hope this is helpful to future moms looking for a pre and postnatal care.

I absolutely love Dr.Veloudis and truly believe my daughter would not be here if it werent for him. She is now 8 years old so I havent been there in years.I just found out Im pregnant and of course Im very high risk. I was very disappointed when I called to make an appointment and after being on hold and having to explain my situation again each time someone new picked up the phone (as I was leaving the ER) - they told me I owe a bill from 8 years ago. I had insurance so Im not sure how thats even possible but I didnt even ask questions and told them thats fine Ill pay then $200 a week (the bill is only $600!) the office staff was so rude to me talking to me like I was trash over $600!! They refused to see me until it was paid.I understand I owe a bill and $200 a week would only take 3 weeks to pay off. $600 is not worth my childs life and Im disgusting they would refuse to see someone over a such a small balance - especially since I agreed to pay and a childs life is in danger!!! It a miracle I was even able to pregnant and if I lose this child it would be the most devastating thing that could possibly happen.Im not sure whats happened there over the past 8 years but Ive never in my life seen office staff with such an attitude, especially with a woman in such a vulnerable situation. Dr.Veloudis and Amy are way to amazing to have office staff like that.

Dr. Veloudis may be fine for a normal pregnancy, but if you are high-risk (or even on the cusp of being considered high risk) find someone else. He scheduled me with another doctor outside of his office and that doctor was MUCH more knowledgeable about my condition. When I came back to see him, he couldnt answer my questions or offer any with your condition, its best to.... type information. He seemed distant and aloof and didnt really make it his business to remember who I was or my medical situation. I had to keep reminding him each time! When I tried to switch to a new doctor, it took over a month to get my files transferred. They claimed for weeks that the files were ready and all he needed to do was sign them. It felt like they were holding the files hostage so that I wouldnt leave. I also received a few emails saying the card I had on file would be billed according to a contract I signed....which is weird because I never signed a contract nor did I put a card on file....

I’ve been a patient of his for 10 years! Doctor Veloudis is wonderful! He’s delivered all of my children. My last pregnancy was very scary and I was very high risk but he made sure he did everything in his power to make sure my son got here safe and sound and on time! My family and I owe everything to him! If it wasn’t for him, my son wouldn’t be here today! He’s now one years old and it’s all because of Doctor Veloudis!

I really love seeing doctor veloudis as a fertility doctor. (I havent seen him for anything other than fertility). The county i live in does not offer any type of fertility treatment, however he was fabulous and helped my husband and I concieve our daughter and son. Ive never had any issues with him other than long wait times once we get called back into the room. Which can be expected since he is the OBGYN doctor as well.

He is not sensitive and gentle the way an OB/GYN should be. He is rough with procedures and not very personable in general. Hes knowledgeable and the staff is very nice, however. As my spouse saw him as a patient, and had an HSG test (NOT STD testing as rudely assumed in the owners response below), our experience was less than par. As a medical professional myself, my own assessment was that it couldve been a better encounter with the physician. An acceptable answer is not one that rebuttals ignorantly, but one that acknowledges and apologizes for the experience, whatever that may have been. The owners answer is clear validity and confirmation to my original statement.**Edit**They cant read, apparently. I said my SPOUSE saw him, so no need to look for my name as a patient. Goodness.

My wife bragged about this docotr was a patient for 5 years. He gave her 3 surgeries for her endometriosis . she came in to talk about us trying to get pregnant he said she would need to have fertility medicine in order to concieve. He wrote her a script that day unfortunetly it did not work. When she called to reschedule to see him they waited until the day before her appointment to inform her that they wouldnt bill her insurance for fertilty appointments due to office policy it would be $200+ for the appointment then another $200+ for an ultrasound. She explained she had already seen the docotor for this and it didnt cost that the last time. They said they didnt know how or why but thats just what it would be for her appointment the next day! Needless to say her and I were very upset and over whlemed seeings how we have been fighting to concieve and the doctor who knows and diagnosed her refuses to help without $500+ over night. Its a shame she called another doctor who didnt understand the office policy but are more than happy to help us on this journey and bill our insurance. Its a shame we thought he was a docotor who cared and helped everyone especially his patients he has seen for so long and treated but the whole office is completly different. I feel as if it is a scam my self. Maybe if they cant get enough money from the insurance they refuse to bill so they can get more money for the same services they can bill insurance for. Its hard enough to work and pay for insurance let alone go to a doctor who picks and choses what services they will bill YOU for and what they think insurance pays enough for. Smh.. Its a shame and really gives docotors a bad name.

Had all my kids there and was great… ended up having some issues 2 years after my last child and he decided to do a partial hysterectomy.. got a date and was supposed to call me back to give a time.. never heard anything.. called repeatedly and got I’ll call you back with no call back. Went up there one of his nurses was VERY rude saying they will call you back.. Let’s just say it’s been almost a month that I went and I STILL AM IN ALOT OF PAIN WITH NO SURGERY DATE! I got tired of waiting so I switched to a whole different DR. Kind of sad because I praised him for years but sounds like he has some ppl in his office that don’t care about his reputation because for a patient of his to get treated like this I never thought I’d see… smh

I love Dr.V, but his clerks are very rude on the phone. Also, be advised that while they ask you to fill out paperwork ... they DONT tell you that they are going to bill your insurance for each form you complete! I found out when I got a bill from them for $75 because BCBS didnt cover. That was the charge for only one form! I called to ask them about it and they hung up on me! So I called BCBS and they said it was coded as a pre employment screening. My visit was an annual check up. Not a pre employment screening! Something isnt right with this!
