We were recommended Dr. Kirkman for prenatal care by my fiances sister and he has been nothing short of amazing at every visit. Very personable, kind, and even funny! He adds life to what would be a normal doctor visit. When Dr. Kirkman was unavailable, Brianna was randomly chosen to be my PA. We liked her so much from the initial visit that I have since personally selected her for every appointment that Im unable to see Dr. Kirkman. Between the two of them, we have received top-notch care (worlds better than what Ive received at other hospitals and doctor offices in the past). It feels like the staff actually care about you, including nurses and receptionist staff, and everyone is always super helpful in answering the million questions I find myself asking. I would highly recommend Dr. Kirkman and Brianna and I hope were able to see them again, should we experience another pregnancy in the future.
I have not had a good experience here. Each time I have gone in for fertility appointments I have to retell my story of why Im there like its my first appointment. They did the wrong blood work to start off and then when I called in to refill my meds there were no notes explaining what the PA had told me they found previously before when she told me that they were going to increase my doses. Since the PA wasnt there that day they refused to increase the dose until I argued enough. Sometimes you are just a number in an office and I felt that way here.
This is the best practice I have ever been to! I truly felt cared about and heard. All of my questions were answered in a way that was understandable and showed they truly cared. Not just about the baby, but me personally too. They cared about even tiny things like a scraped knee (Im very clumsy and biffed it on my way to my first appointment) They made sure to explain everything they were doing and all tests that were run and why they were done. They walked me through everything they could see on the ultrasound. I think they put every last concern to rest. Dr. Blackett was amazing! I plan to stick with her for all future needs and appointments. The nurses and attendants were all also incredibly kind and thoughtful. They did have to do some bloodwork today and I am TERRIFIED of needles. Black out bad. But the nurse who stuck me was incredibly kind and patient. She got it first go and honestly least painful draw Ive ever had to do. I LOVE her. And the other nurse was so sweet and held my hand and talked to me the whole time. Then they spent a fair amount of time making sure I was steady and ready to go and not lightheaded. Best experience ever for a draw. The worst part was the amount of time just spent waiting for Dr. Brackett and then a nurse to do the draw. But when they are this good, no wonder they are slammed and a little behind. And I didnt really mind just hanging out. DEFINITELY worth the wait. And when they are with you, they dont just rush through to get you in and out. I am so so happy I got in with this practice.
My daughter just had a terrible experience here, its very personal to go into details but the staff essentially sent her home without having the procedure that she had been building up the courage to have done for weeks because the Dr had to leave early even though my daughter made arrangements to get off work early, arrived early to her appt and waited in the lobby for over 30 mins. If there wasnt a proper amount of time for this procedure, the office should have let her know ahead of time. It was handled very poorly.
After going in for multiple appointments for an ultrasound & biopsy of my cervix, I was finally able to meet with Dr. Noorda.Upon meeting Dr. Noorda for the first time. I felt as if he walked into my room with a chip on his shoulder. He was extremely judgemental towards me on my current medications and for the reason why I was on them. He tried to explain to me that I did not need one of my meds and informed me that I and my primary caregiver were wrong for giving me this medication daily. I informed Dr. Noorda that yes, I was supposed to be taking said medication on a daily basis. He scuffed and moved on to being judgmental of my weight. Any woman who is bigger in size knows the feeling of when a doctor walks into the room and you feel the instant judgement of your weight. During the vaginal exam, I felt extremely uncomfortable. I had tears in my eyes and was unable to speak. He then informed me that I was not diagnosed properly for endometriosis. Which yes, could be a possibility. But the way this doctor speaks to you. It made me feel as if I was just saying whatever I wanted. I informed him that I also have pcos. He pretty much laughed at me. With the following words of ya, ok.He wanted me to do a procedure to go in my body and check for endometriosis. At the time I agreed to do so. But after the absolute horror of an office visit. I will never in my life go back there again. Worst experience ever. I work at a primary care providers office. Im so thankful for the providers I work for!
Everyone is so kind here! Ive been going here since I was a teenager and now Im seeing Dr kirkman for my first pregnancy. I had my first appointment with him today and he is nothing short of amazing! He makes you feel so comfortable and he is very educated. I will recommend him to anyone.
Dr Kirkman is the best of the best. He has a very personable and calming presence. I had an amazing experience here through my pregnancy. The on call nurse is always friendly and helpful and the staff is amazing. Cannot recommend them enough!
Brianna was my doctor and she was great. Answered all of my questions that I had and made me feel extremely comfortable in an uncomfortable situation. The receptionist staff was also very friendly and kind. I will be coming here for all my other visits. Thank you!
I loved going here for my pregnancies/births. Dr. Fowers was very kind and helpful and comforted me through a hard pregnancy loss. He and Dr. Blackett delivered my babies and it was a great experience! I felt like they listened to me and took care of everything. Highly recommend
I have absolutely loved my experience with Cache Valley Women’s Center! Dr. Noorda was my OB during my pregnancy and delivered my daughter just a few months ago, and I always felt that he cared about me and my situation and always listened to my concerns. Waits were long occasionally, but for the care we got, I understood why. I also loved his nurses- they were so friendly and fun! So grateful to have had such a great first pregnancy and birth experience thanks to Dr. Noorda and his team!
Dr. Kirkman as well as staff is great! Unfortunately I couldnt continue treatment due to insurance issues. Only issue I had was with the phone, I could never get through to the front desk during business hours so I had to go into the office when I had time.
I would not recommend this place. First, I had hormone testing done. They did not tell me that my insurance was not going to cover something like that (I even asked). So now I have to pay it entirely out of pocket! They are only wanting your money. I went through them during my pregnancy and now they are requesting their money. I told them I can only afford to pay a small amount each month and the billing lady said I can only do large amounts in a 4 month period. Seriously?! they started and are still charging my card without my consent. I will not be going through them in the future with any of my medical needs.
After a long hiatus, I decided to take a friends advice and see Amy Billings regarding some problems I had been having for quite a number of years. I am so glad I went to see her. She listened to my needs and set me up with Anne Blackett for a hysterectomy. Anne had an amazing bedside manner! I am truly grateful to both Amy and Anne for the kindness and respect they showed to me, during a time where I felt defeated by my overall health. I just dont think I could ever thank them enough for helping me get my life back!
If I could give a negative star rating I would. My wife saw Anna Lara last week because she was nervous about a spot she found. My wife had breast cancer 15 years ago and also had cancer in her parotid gland 5 years after that. So she takes things very seriously when she feels like something is not right with her body. Anna Lara only spent maybe 3 minutes in the room with my wife and quickly dismissed what my wife came to be seen for. My wife was sitting in the hallway right outside Annas office, the nurse stepped in the door way and she heard Anna say She thinks she needs blood work done and she is asking for diagnostic imaging, but there is nothing wrong with her. I have never been so angry at anyone in my life. If you are going to be a doctor or in her case a physicians assistant, you might want to have a little more understanding and act a little more professional towards your patients. If you choose to make demeaning comments about them you might want to make sure they are not in ears distance. I hope you never have to experience getting a cancer diagnosis and then being made to feel like you are a hypochondriac. You dismissed my wife like she didnt matter and because of you she will never come back to the womens center to be seen. I will make sure that anyone I talk to will know that Anna Lara is a poor excuse of a doctor and a very rude and arrogant human being.
I love the Cache Valley Womens Lodge! The doctors and nurses are all friendly and personable. Ann Blackett is an amazing OBGYN. She was my doctor for my first pregnancy, and I had absolutely no hesitation going back to her for my second! Sometimes the wait can be a little long, but its worth it to be cared for by wonderful professionals who listen to your concerns and seek to help in any way they can.
I had seen multiple OBGYNs throughout the valley and none of them would listen. I got to see Dr. Kirkman and he was able to provide answers! He is the most caring doctor I’ve ever met. He never rushes appointments and answers all my questions and concerns. He is super knowledgeable. I recommend him to everyone. He has a long waitlist but it’s for a good reason! He is the reason I was able to get pregnant.
I absolutely love this place and I miss it. If you are looking for a great team to help you bring your baby into the world, you have found it. From the receptionists to the nurses, ultrasound tech and phlebotomist, they were all amazing and so incredibly helpful. The moment you walk into the building, you just feel a sense of calm and ease.I absolutely love Dr. Noorda, he just delivered my son 3 weeks ago. One of my favorite things about him is that he actually listens to his patients and goes into great detail explaining certain things. He is funny, fantastic bedside manor. I had a great experience bringing my son into the world because of Dr. Noorda. Thank you Cache Valley Womens Center.
I dont know where these negative reviews are coming from! I have been nothing but impressed with Cache Valley Womens Center and its staff. The building is beautiful and well maintained and doesnt have that sterile hospital feel at all. Everyone is friendly and professional. The receptionists are so friendly and kind, and Ive never had any problem scheduling an appointment. I will say the wait times in the office and to get a nurse on the phone are a little long, but its nothing unmanageable.Ive interacted with Dr. Kirkman and Dr. Blackett and both are exceptional doctors. And can I just say, the woman who draws my blood (sorry I dont know her name) is incredible! Ive never had such an efficient and proficient phlebotomist. Ive had blood work done many times here, and shes never missed a vein. Please give her a shoutout! Shes tall and has glasses and dark hair ;)
I have been going to Cache Valley Womens Center since before they built the Lodge (30 + years). I cant remember a bad experience there. I have found them to be courteous and helpful. Ken Wade is excellent! I have read some of the negative reviews and am quite surprised by them as I have never even witnessed any of the issues they have listed. I did have to wait for a long time once but I was told there was an emergency and my doctor would be with me as soon as he could or another would be able to see me. I had no problem waiting because if I was having an emergency, I would want my doctor taking the time necessary with me. I recommend this office and doctors all the time!
Go here! This place is great! I see Ken Wade and he is the definition of a GREAT DR! His bedside manner is so good & he is so kind! He talks to you about everything and is not in the least bit rushed. He asked me if I had any other questions or concerns until I said no and if I remembered one later he’d make sure all was taken care of and never made me feel bad for having lots of questions or taking up his time! He remembers who I am and takes true interest in my personal needs and concerns with health, fertility etc. We’ve suffered with infertility for 11 years and he has been so kind and gentle and helpful in referring us or just in general with pap smears etc. His Pap smears are the most ‘comfortable’ ones I’ve had as well. His assistant is amazing too and so are all the people who work at the lodge.
Anne Blackett is AMAZING. Every time she walked in the room I felt a sense of calm and peace, even when she announced I would need emergency C-Section after 25 hours of labor and no progress. I cannot speak highly enough of her! Ken Wade is also the BEST PA I could have asked for. He listens, he’s kind, he takes an interest in what’s going on in my life that could be causing my symptoms, not just on the symptoms alone. He is also so great and friendly.
Like others, seeing negative reviews has me adding my two cents, because I couldnt believe someone could leave a negative response. This is a really great facility with so many great providers! I felt that there was a Dr for everyone, so if I wasnt happy with one I was able to still find another that fit me and my own circumstances. The facilities in and of themselves are very welcoming, clean, and cozy. The nurses are great and extremely friendly and the reception and scheduling staff are very kind and accommodating. In the past Ive had Drs who, if having a bad day, made me feel belittled or upset, but I never once had that experience at CVWM. Highly, highly recommend, and if you feel the Dr youre seeing there isnt up to snuff, schedule your next visit with a different provider to find a better match!
We love Cache Valley Womens Center at the Lodge!! The nurses there are excellent, and the doctors are amazing. I have been going to them over the course of 12 years (and 4 pregnancies) and have yet to have a negative experience. They are all so positive and friendly and supportive. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a fantastic OB option! Thank you, CVWC, for being so great!
I definitely do not recommend. Without getting into too much detail, they tested me for something without my consent or obvious medical reasoning. When my insurance declined to cover the testing (because there was no clear medical reason to test me), I asked this office to justify the testing to the insurance. They refused to justify it or speak to the insurance company - even at my insurers request. They insisted that it was policy to test everyone, but their paperwork does not say so and Dr. Lara did not inform me of the test during my visit. This is a clear violation of standard medical practice. I am a student and cannot afford a large medical bill for unnecessary testing. When speaking with them about this matter over several months, they were often disorganized and lacked empathy about my situation. I do not recommend this doctors office at all, but if you choose to go here, I would keep a careful eye on all your bills and ask explicitly what procedures/testing they are doing.
I love Dr. Blackett! She has been my doctor for about 5 years and has delivered 2 of my babies. She takes the time to get to know me and my family. I’ve always felt like she listens to my concerns and desires and also does a great job at educating me when I have questions. I am moving out of the valley soon and I am actually really sad I’ll have to find a new OB! I love the Lodge!
My two oldest were delivered by Dr Blackett through here and I have nothing but great things to say! We had a medical scare during my first pregnancy and they fit me in same day and were sympathetic. They made me feel like more than just an account number: very personable and friendly. They always remembered my name when I came in and very patient and flexible. Although Dr Blackett was the one I primarily saw (I definitely recommend her!), I also saw each of the other doctors and felt comfortable with each of them.
I love love love this clinic! My doctor is Dr. Kirkman, and I can’t say enough kind words about how awesome, kind, and respectful he is! His care for me during my pregnancy was wonderful, and my delivery was perfect. We are moving away after my husband graduates in May, and I am so sad to not have Dr. Kirkman as my doctor anymore. But I’m so grateful to him for bringing my daughter safely into the world, and I will always remember him fondly! This clinic is so beautifully decorated and homey feeling, and everyone is so kind and welcoming. I will miss this place so much!
The office secretary was absolutely rude. I was trying to schedule an appointment as a new patient and the secretary kept questioning me and was extremely rude. I was absolutely unimpressed with the treatment i received from her. Personally I, As somebody who works in the medical field, believe she should absolutely not be working with patients. Her manner is absolutely HORRIFIC! I got judgement right away and told I cant make an appointment until I do certain things. As i was also told by this rude secretary when my due date would be over the phone without being seen and not by a doctor. The receptionist is not a doctor and is giving out medical advice and telling people when they can and cant schedule appointments or be seen and when their due dates are..... If the owner was smart they would hire somebody new for the front desk position. Ive never had such trouble to schedule an appointment as I did with this place.
I really dislike The Lodge! I feel like all they have going for them is the ambiance. I felt like I was treated like one of a million patients, and as soon as I left I was completely forgotten. I had to fight to get some ultrasound results read, and when I finally got someone on the phone, they didnt have any idea what the results were. Then another time I went in, I was pregnant and had a kidney infection. I was seeing an out of hospital midwife, but obviously needed a doctor to help clear the infection, and they were able to fit me in the same day. I should have waited. I felt extremely judged and criticized for my choice in care providers, and was not taken seriously at all. So out of the few visits, not one was a positive one. You can find better places to get care ( and not pay such high copays!)
I love all of the staff here! I saw Dr. Blackett for my pregnancy and delivery. She was the best! She always listened to my concerns and never brushed them aside. There were a few times when I wouldnt feel my baby move and I would freak out and the staff was always willing to get me in for a heart beat check. They were always respectful, kind, and courteous!
I went to Dr Robbison for a yearly exam and she was very nice and professional. Front desk and nursing staff was very nice and professional as well! I called to ask for a last minute favor and the nurse I spoke to was very nice and helpful as well as the on call Doctor! Highly recommend this facility.
I have always had a great experience with Dr. Noorda. Throughout my pregnancy with my second baby he took what I wanted into account. Hes good at both listening and explaining. Highly recommend!
Love the care that I received here! The front desk, medical assistant, and provider were all great. I saw Anna Lara PA-C for my annual check and she was fantastic! Bedside manner was impeccable and she took the time to answer all of my questions. Definitely will be going back to her :)
Amy Billings is wonderful to work with. She always listens to my concerns and incorporates them into her treatment plan. She is friendly, capable, and just an all around great health care provider. Her nurse, Allison, is also great to work with. Together they are an awesome team that I trust completely with my health care.
The care was great and very kind until we finished paying Dr Blackett upfront for the birth. Then is became horrible. Very short visits with the nurse not with Dr Blackett. I was in CONSTANT pain for over a month with labor symptoms and all I was told was to take some pain killers and a bath (we didn’t have a bathtub only a shower and no family nearby as well which they were told so we couldn’t do that.) No care for the amount of pain I was in at all. Because of how much pain I was having we scheduled an induction that was then canceled the day of by Dr Blackett and the hospital without telling us. We had to wait 4 more days to be induced which isn’t that long unless you already feel like you are in labor! On the day of the birth Dr Blackett came and broke my water and was there maybe 3 minutes and didn’t come back until my daughter was being born. She only had time to put on one glove before my daughter was here. She did not check on me at all during the hospital stay. For my 6 week appointment they chose to do it over the phone instead of actually checking to make sure I was healing properly and that was again just with the nurse not Dr Blackett. After talking with my insurance they also overcharged us and never sent us a receipt or confirmation for the money we paid them throughout the pregnancy to pay for Dr Blacketts “care” and the delivery. DO NOT GO HERE. They only care about your money.
What a fantastic business the Cache Valley Womens Center is! Everyone from the front office, to the back office to the billing department treated me with so much respect and gave me a lot of individual care and attention. I have recommended this office to everyone I know, and will continue to spread the word. I am blown away with how helpful and attentive each provider is. I have had the opportunity to meet and be treated by most of the M.D.s along with the mid-levels. My hat is off to the Cache Valley Womens Center, they truly care about each and everyone of their patients. Cache Valley is lucky to have this business.
I went to Cache Valley Womens Center for my first 2 pregnancies. And Im going again for my 3rd. I love this place. Amazing staff, feels so homey! The waiting room is very comfortable and relaxing. I go to Dr. Noorda. Out of all the doctors I have seen in my life, Dr. Noorda is the best.
This place is horrible and doesnt care about the patients. I have been to three doctors here (Dr. Lara, Dr. Billings, and Dr. Blackett) and none of them care about my concerns, wants, or needs. They just want to fill you up with birth control and opioid pain killers to get more money for themselves. They will brush aside everything you ask about. Plus the wait time can be hours of just sitting in the lobby with only a couple of minutes to visit with the doctor. They dont care if you suffer, just want to line their pockets. You would be better off going somewhere else if you actually want help.
Dr. Kirkman was amazing through my whole pregnancy. Anytime I had a concern or something came up he would listen and went above and beyond what I would ever expect from an OBGYN. After I delivered he still checked up on me and provided me with the best possible care. I would never go to anyone else. I highly recommend him to anyone!!
Had a wonderful experience with this office! Switched from budge clinic halfway through my high risk pregnancy and I’m so glad I did. I was seeing Blackett. Delievered over Christmas and had Fowers deliver with Anna Lara assisting. All amazing providers. Very knowledgeable and professional. I couldn’t have asked for a better care team during my preterm labor experience. They made amazing choices for me and my baby.
If I could give no stars I would. I went in today with a scheduled appointment to see my doctor and have an ultrasound at 14wks and was told I couldn’t go to this apt. because I had to have a nurses consult apt. first. They said I would have to reschedule for a nurse consult first and then could reschedule to see my doctor at a later date. Geda at the billing desk who was telling me all this was incredibly rude and condescending to say the least and refused to go ask Dr. Fowers if this is what he wanted- refusing the first doctors apt. of a 14wk pregnant patient. I have been to two of these “nurse consults” at this facility with my two earlier pregnancies and they literally hand you a paper telling you what you shouldn’t eat and tell you your due date based on the date you give them from your period (which pretty much almost every women would already know). I was told I couldn’t see a nurse at that appointment. There were nurses there but they refused to hand me the packet of info that is considered the “nurses consult” so I was told too bad since it “had” to be before I see my doctor- which is completely ridiculous from a medical standpoint. It might be their “office policy” but medically there is absolutely no reason I should have been turned away from an appointment with my doctor and to be honest also medically completely inappropriate to be refused to see a doctor you had an appointment with. I was never called before hand to be told I wouldn’t be allowed this appointment and even asked to confirm that appointment earlier in the morning. I will be finding a new doctor and highly recommend anyone who wants a good OBGYN experience to NOT go to this facility. They 100% do not care about you as a person in anyway. I’ve gone through two births through them and never loved how I was treated but this is what finally made me realize there are way better facilities out there! In response to the owners post- Yes you can contact me but I don’t believe that this facility truly cares or is apologetic. I think they just post it here to look like they care. My husband called right after this happened and talked to the office manager. In a nicer way than the horrible Geda he was still told they are refusing me medical care to let me see the doctor because I have to have a nurse consult first. I called the Budge clinic and have an appointment next week. They let you see the doctor immediately- no nurse consult needed! If you are pregnant or just want to be treated safely and respectfully by office staff go there instead!UPDATE— I’m now 36weeks pregnant and have had a WAY better experience at Budge Clinic than I ever had in my two earlier pregnancies at the Cache Valley Women’s Center Lodge! The office staff there have been way nicer and also don’t hound me every visit about making payments for things they won’t give me an actual bill for. Almost every appointment at the lodge staff would hound me to make payments but wouldn’t provide me with an actual bill which was required by my Health savings account/HSA (where we had all the money set aside to pay for the costs but couldn’t get it out until we had an actual bill of services). They would be so rude every time I explained this and I had to repeat it at almost every visit.Oh and the women’s lodge has never bothered to contact me about my experience like they said they wanted to in order to improve their service- but that doesn’t surprise me.
I originally left a pretty horrible review, but after some time I’ve decided to change and give an update. I’ve been coming here for a little over two years now. At first, I was treated horribly by Amy Billings and I would 100% recommend not seeing her if you are having gynecological issues. I gave my visit with her a 1 Star. That still stands for that entire visit, it was an awful experience. After this experience I was done and never going back, but then I did receive a call from Amy Billings that Dr. Kirkman wanted to schedule a surgery consult. I was so shocked because she told me in our original meeting that she didn’t think he would be interested in my case. And apparently he was. He scheduled a surgery without ever meeting me.I was officially diagnosed with endometriosis during this surgery and it answered so many of my questions. Dr Kirkman was amazing, so kind, so informative, and so willing to listen. He is a busy Dr. and obviously well loved so he is hard to get in to. So when I have other appointments I see Dr. Kenneth Wade, and I absolutely love him. He is so so nice and takes such a long time listening to my concerns, he is very helpful with mental health help too and helped me get on medication for my anxiety. 5 stars for both of them. Unfortunately I do have to knock one star just for how bad that first experience was but I was able to get through it thanks to Dr. Kirkman. If it wasn’t for that one call, I never would have gone back. And to answer the owners question I would be happy to discuss my experiences with you.
I have been in and out of A LOT of OB/GYN offices, and Cache Valley Women’s Center at the Lodge has been my favorite by far. Sometimes they are booked out a little bit, but it’s worth it to me. Mickensi Paget is the PA I see. She is simply amazing! She makes some of the hard parts of going to the gynecologist a lot easier. I recommend this place to all of my friends.
Anna is phenomenal!! I was really nervous about coming in and she talked me through everything and made sure all of my questions were answered. I’m thankful to have had her as a provider! The rest of the staff are super happy and helpful, it’s a really good environment there!
I genuinely have been very happy with my care here at CVWC at the lodge. My doc is Dr. Kirkman and he’s been great from the very beginning. He takes the time to listen to my concerns and chats with you like you’re just a good family friend. I’ve also loved his nurses! I consider everyone here a friend! I’m not just a number here. I was nervous also about having a c-section, and Dr. Kirkman handled it so well. I even got to listen to Pandora in the Operation room! It was pretty rad! I could totally have another c-section again! I would rather do that than go to the dentist any day! Haha. Seriously! If you’re wondering which office to choose, choose these guys!
I love the womens center! Everyone has been so kind and accommodating to my needs. Dr Kirkman always listens to my questions and concerns. He was even open to me using acupuncture which most drs criticize. I also love the other nurses and drs Ive seen there. In my 3 years of going there regularly Ive never had a bad experience
Dr.Noorda and his staff are seriously the very best! I had some complications with my pregnancy and they have been so good to work with and reassure me. I can’t imagine going to anyone else with futures pregnancies! Highly recommend.
We love Dr. Anne Blackett! She has delivered 4 of my 5 babies, 2 of them being twins! We just moved back to Idaho from New Mexico and once we found out we were expecting, we didn’t hesitate making the drive down to Utah just to see Dr. Blackett. She truly will listen to you and go to war for you. All my babies SHE has delivered were done vaginally, she also was able to help grant me a VBAC this time and they were with my twins (last baby was csection done in New Mexico) I feel like she’s family and I 100% trust her and her judgment and I felt like she trusted me too and my instincts as a Mom. She supported me 100% and I felt safe and confident in her care. I love her professionalism, respect, down to earth personality and she is always so calm even in stressful situations. She also makes me feel comfortable. I can’t say enough good things about her other than she’s helped bring my family here to earth and SAFELY! ❤️ It’s always a beautiful and pleasant experience working with her. Thank you Dr. Blackett!
I tried scheduling an appointment here to have a quick procedure done. I got a call the day before confirming my appointment and stating how much I would need to pay up front if I didnt have insurance. I didnt think much of it, since I have insurance and planned to use that. However, upon arrival the receptionist was very demanding, insisted I pay for the whole procedure up-front and treated me like I was stupid for not understanding the phone call from the previous day. She told me that my insurance would not cover the procedure even though she did not even check with my insurance!! I knew I was not supposed to pay upfront so I cancelled the appointment. Later, I called my own insurance company and they confirmed that they do cover this procedure in full! This was also listed as an in-network provider. Highly unprofessional and discriminatory behavior.**edit** thanks for the reply but did you read this? As I stated you NEVER even contacted my insurance so there was no way this was a miscommunication since there was NO communication in the first place! This is why the actions of your staff were discriminatory, the assumption that I would not have adequate insurance and the demand for upfront payment prior to treatment which is not typical when using insurance. Again, highly unprofessional.
Just making an appointment is a huge chore! what a headache! I tried multiple times to get an appointment here during my pregnancy and each time was more frustrating than the last! I couldnt believe all of the restrictions and hoops they make you jump through just for an appointment!!! the receptionist I talked to each time was incredibly rude and negative! I am so glad I found a better doctor somewhere else!!
I LOVE Cache Valley Womens Center. All of the doctors are so knowledgeable and I would trust my care to any of the providers. They always get me in quickly, even if my doctor is scheduled out they have someone that can see me usually the day I call. I highly recommend this office! Love them.
Dr. Fowers is the best! He is really good at educating me and explaining things in ways that are easy to understand. His staff is super nice and friendly. They always ask how we are doing and always remember things about our kids and ask about them - it feels very genuine. We had a somewhat complicated delivery with our first child. Dr. Fowers was there well before it was time to deliver. He was comforting and confident, and we were able to deliver a happy, healthy little girl. In fact it was only afterwards that I realized how much danger she was in because Dr. Fowers didn’t show it at all during. I trust him completely with my care.
The Good: My Dr was very knowledgeable and I appreciated that he would try to use conservative ways to solve issues I was having rather than jump to more invasive means. The Bad: The wait is insane. More often than not I would have to wait an hour to be seen for 5 min. The way they schedule appointments (last I was there was very outdated) If you have an apt you better put it in your phone because there is no text to confirm your appointment or a courtesy call. The Ugly: I hate that they dont have a patient portal. Some of my tests came back off and I had to wait for a call weeks later to notify me of that. I also had to ask for my lab numbers as well. When I asked for more info they pretty much said they could not give it to me....uhmm wait its MY labs! I also did not care for the lab they contracted out to. I have a severe phobia of needles so I like my husband to sit by me. He went to sit by me during a lab and he got yelled at because it was not compliant with their company, In short he sat by me any ways but I think the lab tech took it out on me because I was so bruised afterwards it was ridiculous. I have never bruised like that after lab work and I have had it done several times.I have had 3 babies with their clinic I wanted to be done with kids so I asked if I could have a permanent means of birth control done after the birth. I was pretty much told no and that I needed to wait 8 weeks. Well needles to say my baby is now 8 months and I still have not did anything permanent...I really wished he would have did what I wanted right after birth. I have 4 kids and if by chance I do have a 5th baby, I will not be returning there.
Dr. Ken Wade is my favorite doctor Ive ever had. He really cares and makes and unomfortable situation as comfortable as possible. He is really kind and had a good sense of humor. I hate womens check ups because I get so uncomfortable but he made me as comfortable as possible.
Insensitive with miscarriages. Years later my wife still references the emotional scars of visiting this place. Avoid.4/3/2019 Update:In reply to your response, here are some details. It was my wifes first pregnancy. The staff member who broke the news to my wife had low emotional intelligence and told us what had happened in a very matter-of-fact way with no sympathy. She just watched my wife sit there and cry. Multiple staff members had the chance to express sympathy, but no one did. It was repulsive for an organization that deals with this type of tragedy so regularly. We never went back.I only now share this because we’ve since had 2 kids and a second miscarriage. Another office in town demonstrated empathy and kindness delivering the news of our second miscarriage. It was only after this direct comparison experience that I realized just how horrible the Lodge had handled it with our first miscarriage. This is not an isolated scenario. I have another friend who experienced almost the exact same thing at the Lodge. Avoid this place.
Not only does Cache Valley women’s offer comprehensive health care, they do a fantastic job at providing holistic care for their patients - care for the woman as a whole. Dr. Fowers in gentle yet thorough, he’s sensitive to the psycho-social needs of me and my family, and offered a doula service which I have utilized for all 3 of my births. Would highly recommend this office for all women health care needs!
I love the Womens Center! Being a first time mom is scary, but anyone I ask takes the time to talk to me and help me ensure everything is alright! I never feel rushed with anything and they are all so nice and professional! I would recommend coming here to absolutely everyone!!
Highly highly recommended. I have seen doctors at the budge and here and they make you feel listened too, important and valid in all of your concerns. They are up to date on current treatments in my experience and have a sincere desire to help you. I love Anne Blackett and Ken Wade!
Love this place! The nurses are so kind. I love Dr Fowers. He helped deliver two of my babies and I can honestly say I wouldnt go anywhere else. I trust them to answer all my questions, to make sure any problem I have is addressed and delt with. Seriously amazing staff and place.
Ive been going to the Cache Valley Womens Center since before it was at The Lodge. I see a PA regularly, and she is very responsive. The staff has been extremely accomodating and helpful. The nurses are great. I dont plan on ever going anywhere else.
All the nurses and doctors that helped me with my 3 pregnancies and births were amazing! I feel like i was so well taken care of.
I am just a number and money in there eyes. They cant even pretend to remember me, my issues, nothing. Always had at least an hr wait in the waiting room. In fact Im waiting for my appointment now.. Still in the waiting room and I got here an one hr and fifteen minutes ago with no end in sight. They try to spend less than 5 min with you and billing is the worst to deal with if there is a mistake. They will not discuss what they are about to do with you which ended up with them charging me for unnecessary testing. Theyve lost records of mine and overall real poor service. Go anywhere else!
I have known all of the CVWC doctors my entire life and have never met a more caring, educated group of people. At critical times in my life they have offered wise insight on both medical and personal issues. I would recommend to anyone and everyone regardless of their situation.
Dr. Kirkman performed a hysterectomy on me almost two years ago. I had no complications and feel fantastic! He is very caring and has a great bedside manner, but the most important thing, he is knowledgeable and competent!
I have had such positive, validating experiences at this office and I will continue going here as long as I live in the valley. Each staff member is knowledgable, professional, and helpful. They always make me feel so comfortable and well taken care of.
Ken wade is fantastic!! But I had to find another doctor because of the rude, snobby, judgy young “girls” at the front desk. All that matters to them is getting your money. No matter what. After several years of going there, I was less than a month late to pay my bill even though I ALWAYS paid, and they would not let me see my doctor. People don’t matter, money does.
Worst place by far. The office is garbage. If they cancel on you they don’t call, text, email or anything. They just waste your time. If you value your time or if you are planning to see these inconsiderate people please don’t. Your hard earned cash can go to help real offices that are actually here to help or can actually call you if they are planning to reschedule your appointment. Not how a Proffesional place should be ran.
I have been going to cache valley women’s center for 4 years now. I feel that they are very kind, respectful, and accommodating to your needs. They are so cute with my daughter allowing her to weigh herself and giving her a sucker every time we go. I would definitely recommend them.
Please exercise caution when using this clinic. I was followed here for several years before having issues. This past year, I visited for a more complex issue and I had my test results misread by two providers. These misread results led to them putting me on unpleasant medication for several months. The test result was rather basic so it is unclear to me how they were misread by two separate providers. One provider also decided to do a procedure not following the medical recommendations of this procedure, which are clearly outlined on any medical website and confirmed with a simple call to a pharmacist. This provider does not collect data but stated that in his practice his procedure had optimal results. Without collecting data, this is a fraudulent and medically irresponsible way to practice medicine. This was one of the same providers that misread my results. He was also too lax about requesting blood tests to confirm whether his procedures were working. This resulted in extra procedures and unnecessary medical costs. In addition to these issues, it is not uncommon to have long waits. I have a job and I do not have 45 minutes to sit in a waiting room. The practice should have the thought to call patients to let them know of the back-up.Please exercise caution and get second opinions.
Perhaps if you are looking for OB services, this office would work for you. But for GYN, they are the worst. They use outdated technology (old, being phased out IUDs, less than comprehensive lab requests so you have to return for comprehensive ones); they scheduled me for an in office procedure and had me take 800mg motrin (I rescheduled childcare and work) only to tell me when I arrived that they needed to reschedule! They asked me to PAY for my own records to go elsewhere. They were disrespectful re: birth control (the office is FULL of OB information but not one thing on birth control). Bad experience...
Best doctors, PAs, nurses and staff in the valley!!
I can’t say enough great things about Dr. Blackett and her amazing staff. They are punctional and tentative to all of your needs. They always make you feel more then just a patient! They truly care and it shows in their care.
The care I get here is top notch!!! The wait is a little long but they are busy becuase they are the best place to get care. The doctors actually care and treat you like a person not just another patient. So glad I switched!!!
Better not have a real medical issue or good luck getting any Doctors to take you seriously. One day my wife started bleeding like crazy out of nowhere and having massive cramps (keep in mind we have several children so we know what is normal at this point). We went in to check it out only to test positive for pregnancy then to be told that Well I guess you should just wait and see what happens....Yes because I came into a medical facility to just wait and see what happens while my wife bleeds to death. Then when we were supposed to get some critical results back from a blood test today they lost them. Absolute joke do not go here if you value your life. Find a place that actually cares.
I luv my dr, dr wade, i have been seeing him for 25 years. the office staff / nurse / manager are very rude. they dismissed me as a patient more like told me i was not allowed there anymore for cancelling out my appt with the bone density dr. I didnt feel like bringing in 260 to the appt that is why i carry health insurance. I would never go to this place again. very poor customer service
I really love Dr. Kirkman He is one of the best in the valley and have really liked dr Blackett however the wait time is so long it seems it always takes over an hr from my original appt time to actually be seen
I enjoy the service in person, but I have NEVER had such a hard time with getting someone to answer a phone or email. I keep thinking its just this time the phone is bad, but Ive been a patient for over a year and I have only had a handful of calls answered. More than 20 minutes on hold is too long.
Ive received amazing care here, for both Gynocological care and Obstetrics. The entire team is caring and competent. I highly recommend Dr. Noorda, Dr. Kirkman, and Ken Wade.
Great experience for having our two kids there
Absolutely love Cache Valley Womens Center!! The staff is so friendly, the wait is never too long, and Dr.Blackett always takes the time to make you feel important and makes sure all your questions are answered!!
We were calling in just now to set up an appointment and after speaking to the very rude receptionist we absolutely will not be giving them our business. This is an exciting time in our lives and for someone to be short, disrespectful, and impatient its an absolute turn off. Terrible, simply terrible.
Very unhelpful. I paid $150 to be told I dont have UTI and the doctor legitimacy could not give me any other useful tips besides drink more water. Found better medical information on the internet. Such a joke. Would have been better off flushing my money down the toilet.
The building is adorable, the staff were prompt and kind. Dr. Amy and her nurse were amazingly kind and helpful! Highly recommend.
Dont go there, the receptionists are rude and they charge after they say that they will not. Getting an appointment also takes months. Especially avoid all of the PAs. Ther are all highly unprofessional. Run the opposite direction of Cache Valley Womens Center!
I love this place! Its so homey, and Dr Anna Lara is absolutely amazing! She listens to you and is very easy to talk to.
I have had nothing but good experiences with CVWC. Very polite and knowledgeable staff, and comfortable and beautiful setting at the lodge. I would recommend them to anyone!
They are always very kind and answer any questions I have. Scheduling can sometimes be a little hard because they are fairly busy, but overall, my experience here has been great.
I have had my babies check up here and i have family that have been checked here and i wouldnt go anywhere else besides here Dr norda is my ob and I love him and I havent experienced any rudeness or anything I will keep going there for sure .
The staff is always very friendly and helpful! Rarely have I had a long wait time and if I have, they try to check in and explain why.
Great staff! Always friendly and efficient! Clean and cozy office! I drive from far away to have my babies with them!!
They either need to hire more receptionists or fire whoever lets the phone ring for 10 minutes straight when someone is simply trying to schedule an appointment.
Each staff member was so helpful and kind. I always have a great experience here and receive the help and care that I am there for.
Cache Valley Woman’s Center has been awesome! We love Dr. Barry Noorda
The staff is well trained, and the doctors are fantastic and experienced! They will truly do all they can to help.
I went there for both my pregnancies and everyone is so nice even the doctor I had
Amazing place! Helpful and professional staff, beautiful building, easy and quick to get an appointment and/or have any questions answered.
The front desk reception was rude and unprofessional. I called for an appointment to get an infection treated and she suggested I wait a month for an appointment.
This clinic is so nice with amazing people and great providers!!!! The atmosphere is so relaxing and the service was awesome
I love Dr Kirkman and his staff. I trust him with my life and my child’s.
Very nice to have someone listen help figure out what I need. Everyone is nice and makes you feel comfortable and welcome.
Amazing staff with litle-to-no wait times!! Always feel like Im a priority when I go in to appointments!
One of the best doctors Ive ever met and his nurses are the best also.
Great Doctors and Nurses. Love the upbeat and positive attitude they have 😊
Talked over my questions, interrupted me, and was more interested in chatting with my husband than me. Looking for a new OB.
You cant find a better group of Doctors!! They all get along so well!!
I have seen multiple providers in this office and they are all fantastic!
The staff and doctors have always been extremely kind and helpful!
Wonderful service and very friendly. Always willing to help with questions and concerns
Dr. Fowers is wonderful and I recommend him to everyone!
Beautiful facility and super nice providers and staff
Worst experience with a doctor Ive ever, ever had.
I absolutely love everyone that works there!
They are so mean and only care about money
Never call you back when you leave a message
Plan to wait for approximately 2 hours. 💤
Excellent, caring doctors and staff
Rude and only care about money.
Great docs!
Great doctor
