I like Doctor Hill, she’s always comforting, but now she’s retired. Wish her have a happy life. She’s the best Doctor I’ve ever met in LA.
I would not recommend Dr. Hill to anyone. I saw her twice before realizing she’s not as invested in patient care as she seems. She presents as very friendly, but when I brought up some serious concerns, she undermined me and wrote them off as being symptoms of my birth control and “totally normal for 50% of women, so no need to worry.”Thankfully I decided to get a second opinion because I quickly learned all my symptoms were definitely NOT normal and were actually due to a pituitary tumor. My new doctor was shocked when I told him what Dr. Hill said. Her office staff is also rude and unhelpful. I’ve heard them talking poorly about patients both times I was in the waiting room. I was willing to overlook that, but I’m very glad I don’t have to deal with them any more. Dr. Hill also doesn’t deliver any of the test results or follow up calls herself - she leaves that to her unknowledgeable office staff who can’t answer any clarifying questions. Please do yourself a favor and find another doctor who is as invested in your healthcare as you are. I’m very grateful I did.
Loved Dr. Hill! First time in a long time where I felt heard and genuinely cared for by a doctor. I had lots of questions on my fertility and feminine health and Dr. Hill answered every question thoroughly. She also asked me personal questions to get to know me better. It helped distract me during the pap.The hospital/office was very clean. You can tell they run a tight ship because everything had a process during check-in. The only thing I think they could do better is to digitize the check-in/patient profile. They had me fill out a bunch of forms and it seemed pretty archaic.Parking in the garage is $3 every 30 minutes and they have EV chargers. $15 daily max. I paid $6 and took maybe 45 mins during the appointment.
Lady over the phone said the cash price for an ultrasound for patients of my age with a discount is 126 dollars. Booked an appointment. Came to the office to know the actual price is 490! Moreover when I asked about lab tests to be taken during the exam I was told they don’t know the prices and the bill will come in mail in a couple of weeks. I asked if they provide at least the info about the tests taken on the day of the appointment. Nope. Left without any exam or consultation. Ridiculous! Be careful!
Dr. Hill is great but not the PIH staffs. I called the billing office and I asked the representative to confirm if my insurance was in network. She put me on hold that made my call go back to the initial place on the line and it said the wait was 36 mins. Also I had called the office to make an appointment and they never picked up the call for over 40mins. And when I got to the office because I couldn’t get a hold of them, none of the staffs at the front were on the phone. They must have just cut the phone lines.
Dr. Allison Hill is the best! This is the first doctor in my life whose office I’m leaving smiling and happy. She’s really caring and professional. She helped me to resolve my issue easily and quickly. Also I have to tell how satisfied I am with the office’s work, they always send reminders and keep in touch with you with all the lab results and further appointments. Highly recommend!
Dr. Allison Hill is everything you would hope for in a OB/GYN--compassionate, empathetic, and I have never had any issues with scheduling appointments or in understanding my results. Her staff are friendly and I would definitely recommend!
Dr. Allison is wonderful! I am new to LA. So thankful to have found someone I feel comfortable going to for annual check ups now. I always get nervous before going to any doctor. I was so relieved she immediately made me feel relaxed, comfortable & informed. I truly appreciate doctors like Allison that genuinely care about you.The girls at the desk were also very nice and helpful. Thanks for the positive experience ladies!!
She misdiagnosed me, completely ignored my concerns, prescribed the wrong medication and won’t provide me with a telehealth appointment
Worst staff in the world. Totally mocking in attitude when I called them today. My daughter went for an office visit during which they took blood and had lab work completed. Even though Dr. Hill was in her network, which was the reason Alex went to her in the first place, she received a bill for the lab work. They used a lab that was out of her network and never told her. They said that was her responsibility not theirs to let them know who to use. Really? They had her insurance information but were too lazy to call and confirm which lab they should have used. I talked to the insurance provider and they said that it is definitely common practice for a doctors office staff to call and confirm who is in or out of a patients network. Again, Dr. Hills staff said that was not their problem that it was Alexs problem to resolve. Do not use Dr. Hill unless you have no problem receiving a $200.00 + out of the blue bill for lab work she recommends, but takes no responsibility for selecting the patients proper in-network lab, 5 months after you see her. I made an appointment with her office last week online and received a text confirmation. I went in for my appointment today and everything was great, the staff was friendly and professional and I was done in under an hour. Dr. Hill was very nice and easy to talk to and I would highly recommend her.
Dr. Allison is great - shes approachable and wholistic and makes the whole experience the best it can be! I had an IUD put in with her and it was such a great experience that I recommended for my friend to see Dr. Hill after her IUD experience elsewhere was miserable.
This review is about the women answering the phones at this office not about Dr. Allison or OBGYN as a company.Just set up an appointment at this location with Dr. Allison. When I called her office the first time a young woman answered laughing from just finishing a conversation and continued to laugh...I actually had to ask if I called the correct place and that I needed to set up an appointment. She quickly put me on hold when I didnt respond fast enough when she asked me a question about my insurance, mind you we were only on the phone for 2 minutes at most! I hung up and decided to call back hoping a different secretary would answer, someone professional. To my luck a different lady did answer but put me on hold before I could even speak. Almost 10mins later a young lady answered. When asked what type of insurance I had I answered OAP (open access plus) she snickered and replied Uhh what type of plan is that? I dont know what that is? As a secretary that works in the medical field you should know these things, right? Im pretty sure I am not the only one in the United States/Los Angeles area that has OAP insurance. I had to explain to her what it was! I couldnt lie about this if I wanted too! Believe me!After setting up my appointment (date and time) I asked if she could make a note about something I was concerned about. She said she would and ended our conversation like this okay your appointment is for ....... at .......pm, okay? Bye! and hung up!!! She didnt ask me if I had any questions, what I needed to bring to the appointment as a new patient, nothing. She just rushed me off the phone in the rudest way possible! I couldnt believe it!I quickly called back. A different woman answered after about 5 minutes. I told her about the issue and she told me what I would need to bring and reassured me my appointment was indeed scheduled. She apologized and quickly said she works for Dr. Bohn and that Dr. Allison has different girls that answer her phones. Since I couldnt give her a name of both unprofessional, disrespectful, foolish girls that answered the phones their wasnt much she said she could do.I am tempted to cancel my appointment and find a different doctor. They left such a bad taste in my mouth that Im worried about my first visit. This was my very first impression as a brand new patent and it was only over the phone! I dont want to show up for my exam and have to deal with a bunch of mean women with attitude problems. This makes me question the Doctor. If she has these type of women representing her. Then what type of Doctor is she? But Ill try to keep faith and hope she is a great at her job. Its wrong to judge someone based on someone elses actions.Word of advise for anyone working in the medical field: BE PROFESSIONAL! And note to self and anyone that took the time to read this long review: Always, always, ALWAYS write down the name of anyone helping you over the phone or in person because unfortunately they got away with pure disrespect and didnt think nothing of it. The only thing that will catch them is karma when they least expect it.
Dr. Hill is the most thorough and attentive doctor Ive ever had. She talked me through painful procedures and explains everything. She knows her stuff. Ive asked about so many things and she just knows.
Absolutely incredible. Clean and cute office, VERY fast service and everyone was so kind. I have already recommended to all my girlfriends :)
I have never been as comfortable in my life. Great Dr and person!
I LOVE DR. HILL!! One of the best doctors I’ve ever had ❤️
