My friend and I had a fun outing at this thrift store! We left with bags full of books and a few clothing items that caught our eye. While the home selection didnt quite meet our expectations, its still a great spot to pop into for some unique finds.
At 7:08pm today, the manager was bullying the cashier who was working at the register and who was very kind. The manager yelled at him to hurry up and that he shouldn’t serve customers after 7. When in fact, there was a bric-a-brac sale and he should’ve been happy that the store was swarming with customers! Absolutely atrocious behaviour. If it were me managing the store, I wouldn’t have kicked customers out who were already planning to buy items.
We paid for parking for 30 minutes, and it was 20 minutes past opening with doors locked while the workers were shopping inside or talking while people were waiting outside.
No dressing rooms, no mirrors except for a small one that is often crowded around since no other mirrors are there. And no refunds… most stores that don’t have dressing rooms will allow refunds. Prices are high for items.Usually a fan of Out of the closet but wouldn’t suggest this one until they consider people need to try used clothes before they buy them.
I expected this Out of the Closet to be similar to the others, but its more like a Goodwill. The clothes are more tattered. The store layout is less organized too. Many of the pieces I picked up had holes or rips, and the shoes all looked like a dog had played with them. I appreciated the household wares, and the prices were great, but I was disappointed with the experience overall.
Ive visited this store a few times and found items to decorate my home each time. I found a faux leather armchair for $50 that was in mint condition, a storage trunk for $35 which could have cost $85, and my recent acquisition was a vintage lamp for $15 which easily could have cost me $75 in a department store. For all those reasons Out of the Closet has become my first stop for decorating on a budget.
This store has the most maddening rules. You cannot try on clothes. Both fitting rooms are locked and the only single mirror is covered with what appears to be used wrapping paper.I was intending to spend some money as I am furnishing a rental and gathered up lots of housewares and bits and pieces which I stored near the register. Decided to try on some clothes and this is when the mad cashier chased me screaming : “ you did this “ pointing to the half covered mirror .I asked him why can’t I try the clothes and all he said is this is the rule. Then added that he won’t sell me anything and kicked me out of the store,Now here I was preparing to spend $500 and being disgraced in front of the rest of the customers and told never to come there again. What a shame!
This was always a good place to go get some good deals now i find out they good stuff they keep in the back and dont bring it to the front like they used to they do that at all the stores. other than that a great store to go get nice clothes vintage stuff and much more.
Awesome second hand treasures from housewares to clothing. Many designer and high end items at great prices and excellent customer service. The store is always clean and organized.
I love out of the closet! One of my favorite thrift store chains, this one is just sad though. Very small a bit over priced. Lots of hipsters, so not many good finds left. There is an out of the closet nearby that’s much better!
The staff is always friendly and the store is clean and well-organized. I usually only shop for clothes here and almost always find something that I like. Prices are good.
I showed up several times to drop off stuff, and they had locked up the back. I’m here at 6:25, and the back is locked, even though they are open until 7, with no donation hours posted. In addition, the hours are incorrect on this site. The sign on the door says it closes at 6. What an epic waste of my time. I would have gone somewhere else.
The best thrift store in California out of the closet thrift store allways support this store very clean nice people great prices and a fun atmosphere
Great thrift store, we got lucky our first time here and bought a gorgeous coffee table. This location seemed to be the biggest location with the most options. Definitely go to this location of youre on the hunt for furniture.
I called this store and spoke to Mellissa. What a sweetheart. Not only was she incredibly sweet she was absolutely knowledgeable about the store. Excellent customer service. She went above and beyond. Thank you so much Mellissa!
This place is awesome place to come grab some shirts pants some boots i love coming here every other week to see what hidden surprises lie here. i love their special sale prices as well.
Always looking for a good bargain so Ive been a patron of this thrift store since the 90s, so far so good. Highly recommended. Parking in the area usually sucks though.
This is my favorite Out of the Closet store. A true gem. A lot of the merchandise is reflective of the vibe of the location. It’s my taste, so I love it.
Great music. I didnt wanna leave listening to it. Prices are better than other thrift stores. People are very chill and helpful.
Mostly polyester - great for Halloween. Terrible employees but you might find a GEM if you look hard enough
Ive found some amazing things in this shop. Ive been to Hollywood, WeHo, Fairfax and Venice but this one in particular always seems to have the funky finds. I love it.
Fun, funky and affordable thrift store with clothing for anyones budget or fashion! Friendly, helpful staff, and for you people-watchers, some characters for patrons every now and then:)
The store seemed really messy with no organization, and all items seemed filthy. Definitely need to wash your hands after being in here.
Staff is aggressive and ungrateful for donations. I donated a bag of clothes and one of the guys in the back was cursing at me for it. Corporate did nothing about this and neither did management. Take your donations and business elsewhere!
Great staff. Super friendly and helpful. Ive donated items and purchased some gems. Good cause too. Its a win win.
This one its so good, but price are high $$$$Like I saw something from the 99cent store for $3.00 HA! 😏
Great little thrift store, very clean and well organized. I always find something I like. Cashiers are always very courteous.
