I am grateful for the excellent service I received when I walked in the door. My appointment was at 9:00 am on a Friday. I arrived at 8:07 am. I was greeted by Ms. Keisha, who was very pleasant, helpful, and kind enough to allow me to be seen early. She made the check-in process, and my triage went smoothly. Ms. Keisha was hands-on during my entire visit. My doctor, Alex, was terrific and very detailed. I was nervous to have a female doctor, but she was great. She was able to address all of my concerns. She helped me understand the importance of my health and the urgency of the changes I need to make. She was able to help in areas where I wasn’t able to get help from other doctors. I was sent over to the lab, and there go my nerves, lol. I don’t like needles at all, however, Ms. Que handled me with care and was awesome. I normally am a hard patient in that area, but I am happy to say that I didn’t even flinch. I must ensure she is everywhere I go to get my lab work done. I also thank Nurse Lillian for stressing the importance of having a better nutritional plan. I wasn’t expecting to see a nutritionist, but she provided me with the facts. They showed me that the organization is true to its name. Thank you all so much for changing how I view going to the doctor. I never thought that I would be looking forward to my next visit. Thank you so much, Ms. Keisha, Dr. Alex, Ms. Que, and Nurse Lillian! You all were amazing.
I have always had a exceptional service at Someone Cares Atlanta. I absolutely refuse to have any other primary care physician other than Dr. Alexandria Arzenshek because she has went above and beyond for me even before I physically step into her office. The support staff are the best at all that they do and they all genuinely care about me in all aspects other than just medically. They are simply the best. Thank you all for being the best in this field.
My experience at Someone Cares: The staff is courteous, professional, Im always greeted with a smile, and my appointments are in and out, no waiting. Im happy to have found a new PCP here. Thanks to Dr. Jacobs, Keshia, Q, Lily, and Alma. Going to the doctor can be nerve wrecking, but going to Someone Cares feels as if Im visiting friends.
I transferred my Primary Care to Someone Cares in March with Alex and have been very satisfied with my care. She is extremely caring, attentive and responsive. From the very beginning the clinic staff was super helpful. Alma, Laquanda and Keshia and Lily are awesome. I also want to thank Dr. Jacob’s who I saw at my last visit! I will recommend this location to my friends and family.
I recently visited Someone Cares to start my journey with PrEP, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. The entire process, from initial consultation to lab work and blood tests, was handled in-house, which made everything incredibly convenient.I want to give special thanks to Alex, Q, and Russell for making my visit exceptionally pleasant. They were attentive, knowledgeable, and truly made me feel cared for throughout the entire process. I was especially impressed that I was able to leave with a two-week supply of PrEP while my official order is being processed and delivered. The team at Someone Cares clearly goes above and beyond as advocates for the community. They provide outstanding service, ensuring that every patient feels valued and supported. You can really sense that “someone cares” when you’re working with this dedicated team. I highly recommend this organization to anyone seeking PrEP, STI, or HIV testing and treatment services.Thank you, Someone Cares, for making this a seamless and positive experience!
I have been coming to this office for years, but it seems my specific insurance is no longer accepted, which I completely understand. However, I do have a balance, and I don’t think that should prevent me from receiving an HIV test, especially when it’s free at many other places. Nurse Nakisha Person has denied me care on several occasions and has been very rude in doing so. It’s disheartening that as gay individuals, we come here to escape real-world problems only to be treated poorly by providers. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The staff is unprofessional, rude, and inconsistent. I will be following up with the local Department of Health with my complaints at hand.
Great customer service!! They informed me about all services such us PrEP, Karo, Lauren, and Victoria were amazing at Community Health night at the YMCA. Definitely recommend!
I happened to get tested, and then followed up with Karo. S1C was there for me during a dark time. They provided the support I needed to take control of my health and realize that I didnt have to face it alone. Often overlooked, S1C offers vital resources and a safe space for our community. Real T empowers young TGNC individuals to learn from peers and older generations, equipping them to thrive and succeed. Im grateful for their services. The doctor is exceptional, showing genuine care for both me and the broader community.btw Dr.Jacob’s is amazing !!!! he cares and amazing .🫶🏽
Decided to get blood work done. Called the office to verify price and testing. Paid outta pocket and was awaiting all the test results that I thought was gonna be tested for since I was told it was offered in the panel. At the office I was also told all the test were covered just as listed on the website. However this was NOT so. Now I have to go to another lab, pay outta pocket again to recieve testing I was told was covered in the panel.Other than that the staff was very welcoming and professional on the day I visited. They just need to update their website since the price is way more than advertised and the staff, whoever answers the phone is very incompetent and clearly goes off what is on the website.
I started coming to this center last year for REAL-T which is a program which seeks to empower the trans community led by a lady named Karo. Someone Cares also offers a wide variety of educational, health and wellness programs with some really amazing staff. I admire the fact that they also do outreach events in various underserved communities. I am very thankful for all they do.
The whole clinic staff here is very professional and they will provide you with education and support system succeed Dr. Jacobs is down to earth and knowledgable Russell is very attentive and very much a team player they make recovery worth it I feel like they are my family !!!
The staff and Dr. Jacobs, therepists, nursing staff, all are super kind and thoughtful people. You are treated with respect from the minute you enter their doors.
Im very satisfied with the services it has helped and brought me thru some things Im glad to be apart of your services still. I have hung in there now I no for a good two years. I havent really never had any problems. I just feel that they need to help the women more. They always have help for the men. But I thank GOD that I myself did get in I have a lot of support.Natilya Terrell
It started off great when I first came in for an appointment and exam. The staff was all very friendly and helpful. We developed a care plan for me that was supposed to last several months, they even set me up for automatic refills. However, when I got a new job I switched my health insurance, they did not process it. They also stopped the regular check up calls to me, and when I would call directly they avoided my calls and would not help me get the care I need. Mind you this is the Care that was a part of the care plan we developed together when I first came in. Lastly, my ex worked here as well, I’m not sure if that truly had anything to do with it, but the moment we broke up, the office started acting different. I have life threatening conditions that I was depending on this office to help me control, I was assured that I would be taken care of. It’s taken till December (from Summer of 2023) to find another specialist and have my health issues addressed. Disappointed in this office and in the American healthcare system.
I’ve been going to someone cares for about two years now, and I can say they have fantastic service. They have a kind, friendly, and supportive staff. They have provided me with education to make safe decisions about my health. I would recommend them for primary care and sexual health.
Kind and amazing staff , I would recommend this place to anyone ! It’s welcoming and comfortable . Karo is a perfect organizer and leader, she leads my trans group .
I have been with someone care since 2019 they have helped me get through and achieve my problems I have had physical therapy mentally and emotionally I really appreciate my mentor Kyro she talk to us as a big sister and Counselor she is very sweet and supportive I really appreciate and grateful for you being with us support the staff means a lot From yours Truly Nyia Jones
It was smooth kinda weird how they were pressuring me to take medicine I needed but besides that decent
This place definitely deserves 5 stars. This is my third appointment today and I’m always seen promptly. The staff is amazing as well. If you need any service they offer give them a chance. They really care.
Victoria H. and Karo were awesome! They were so helpful and informative.
I will like to say thank you to all the people that help and assist with me today. Especially the lady that help me in the back and recommend Alex. She made sure I was well taken care of. If you looking for people that care and willing to help is much as they can come here
Very nice first visit. Very informative. Dr.Jacobs and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Extremely disappointed in the lack of support I’ve received from front desk and their response rates regarding my prescription and scheduling. No one Evers answer the phone. There are so amazing people in staff such as Ms. Keisha and Dr. Jacobs who answer my personal calls, but they shouldn’t have to do that. I still have no received my meds and it’s been about 2+ weeks now. Used to love my check ins but my experience has been declining with each visit and unfortunately it’s time to possibly transition out.
The only person I like at this place is Doctor Jacobs: I think my new insurance is out of network and he STILL IS WORTH IT… he leave I go…Straight island guy but cares about black men health regardless of orientation…there is no one I met at this place that really cares or comes off authentic especially for the name of this business… HIV and Sti testing are nerve wrecking and scary but maybe because it’s full of health professionals that can’t really relate and need to be trained to do so…I’m friendly and approachable but I still feel like a number… and the person they got at the front desk at the second door needs serious phone etiquette big time…
I will like to thank all of the kind, kindred spirits from this office, on making me feel secure throughout my first visit. I have to say for the 1st time getting my STD test, Someone Cares really made me feel like a family was there to assist me. Nelma was really nice and comforting during my test. Doc was really honest, attentive to my concerns and really there to point me in the right direction. The other staff were really professional, non-judging and understanding. I give this place an A+++, the office was clean and has a nice ambience. Please, If you are in distress and dont know where to go, Someone Cares ATL is your refuge.
I absolutely love what this place has done for me but for one they rarely answer the phone and two dont you dare run out of any meds because you will catch all kinds of HELL trying to get someone to call you back or refill your meds. For the last 2 months i BEGGED them for a refill because my doctor was out of town and i was without for 2 weeks and this month im begging and ive been out for 5 days. I was told to go to the E.R! Dont get me wrong i appreciate this place but come on....
Went on the website to make an appointment.. but they said I have to call ... i called over 20 times like 3 days in a row..and nobody picked up... they should change the name to Nobody Cares .. and fire whoever job it is to pick the phone up..
Absolutely lovely experience. Went for a full STD panel and they squeezed me in as a walk in right as they were opening. Front desk person was lovely, the lab tech was fantastic. In and out in like half an hour. 6/5 stars.
Caro Vanessa Community Night Was Amazing With These Two!!!!
I made an appointment to see my primary care physician Dr Joyner. My doctor recently started seeing patients at this location and been that it is closer to me, I scheduled to see him at this clinic. I got to the location at the scheduled time and was signed in by a staff member named Eddie. After waiting over an hour, I went up to the counter to ask why I hadnt been seen. Eddie said the Doctor was not available. He was so cavalier about it, no apologies for scheduling me and making me wait at the clinic without having the professionalism and decency to let me know the doctor was not available. Please keep away from this place, they are very unprofessional. I have seen the reviews and actual clients have experienced similar behavior. Please stop responding back to the reviews asking people to call you back. Please deal with the issues that the actual clients have mentioned rather than just responding to the reviews on this public forum
I had a pleasant experience as a walk in at Someone Cares. The front desk was fast and efficient and I was called into the back for an HIV test within minutes. Mark tested both my bf and I & was very personable. They even provided us with free condoms after our free testing. Highly recommend coming here if you want to know your status.
They were very quick & they were extremely friendly. I had my daughter with me & she was literally getting into everything & Roe from the front & Keisha were literally watching her as i was getting my blood drawn. I just thank them for being so professional & nice to me & my daughter.
I had a pleasant experience with the staff on my 10/23/19 visit. However when I asked to speak to a nurse and I was transferred to Keisha. She was very unprofessional and rude. I asked her what my providers name was, and instead of her answering the question she decided to hang up in my face. She is a disservice to a company with the name Someone Cares. Her attitude does not align with the mission statement for this company.
Someone Cares extended hours offered me the flexibility to leave work and take care of health needs. The staff is fast-paced and does everything with a smile. I got my HIV test and labs done within 15 mins and I received my HIV test results the same day! Thank you, Someone Cares.
Their mission is wonderful and the service they offer is great. However, no one picks up the phone and no one responds to messages in their patient portal. RESPOND to people!!!
They steal money. I asked them for a specific test and reiterated numerous times. They never sent the results. I called, and they said they have no record of me requesting the said test. Then they told me to pay for another test! Then proceeded to call me a liar because they failed to properly document. Ill never suggest them to anyone, especially with them charging $100 smh.
Alma, Keisha & Dr Jacob’s are the best!!!
Someone Cares really need to evaluate the staff they have answering the phone ! Eddie is a terrible receptionist and needs to find a new profession its bad enough trying to work up the courage and go to the facility cause you scared of the outcome but to deal with that type customer service at a clinic is highly unacceptable. But thankfully someone called and took care of my needs
Okay so this is how this place works. It is not true that people here will refuse you an HIV test if you are not LGBT especially if you have insurance but you may have to pay for it. It is free for LGBT people because the Center for Disease Control not Mr. Bass are the people who discriminate because they offer grants specifically to test gay men and transgendered people for HIV. They have another program called Sister Love in Atlanta that will only test women as well. I personally agree that everyone should be tested if they want but again these are policies set at the federal level not by the staff at Someone Cares. I dont work here nor have I ever but I have worked in the field and wanted to explain why this program operates as it does its certainly not the only program of its kind.
They show that one location is still open when its not, so i went to the other one which is open but they dont have a doctor on site so couldnt get me prescription that was needed. They told me to come back the next day so i cancelled plans to leave town to go in the following day just to get there and no one to even be there. Dont waste your time
I’ve been to the Marietta location a few times for testing and it’s always been a good experience. Both Danisha Stewart and Mark have been knowledgeable with any questions I’ve had. And I feel they do care about your overall health.
Staff is great i think people dont understand that they are under staffed and this being a free clinic things are not going to run smoothly with the walk-ins and people thats already scheduled you jus have to be patient. the service is great!
This business does not respect appointment time. I arrived early and sat for almost an hour after my appointment time before I decided to walk out. Yall need to do better. At least come out and apologize for the inconvenience.
Great place there employees are more then understanding and kind mark and one other female employee where out standing. Have a bit of short term memory. None the less someone cares lives up to there title. Clean, friendly and kind.
The staff never calls back, the so called nurse Kesha is ignorant and has a major attitude problem. The so called owner isnt any better. It didnt even hear my concerns and was an idiot himself.Go to Aid Atlanta, Mister, or anyone where else. This place sucks!
My visits are always pleasant
Horrible service, that false advertising. Website says it’s open on Saturday. I went during the times the hours were posted on social media. It took 10-15 mins for someone to answer door. The person answering the door was rude. No one was there for testing. Website says it’s open on Saturday starting at 8 a.m. and no one was there. Highly disappointed.
Someone Cares, Inc. is a WONDERFUL place for FREE HIV/HEP C Testing, STI Testing, PrEP, Hormone Therapy, and the Outstanding Opioid Program provides free Suboxone! The marvelous Mental Health Counselors provide substance abuse, mental health, anger management, and parenting groups FOR FREE!!!!! Come on by and see whats available for you from someone who cares!
Nelma has very light hands and a light heart as well. Very sweet woman. Front desk was also very helpful. This will be my new testing site!! Thank you guys!!
Always professional and kind!! Very nice updated office and you get results right there on the spot! 10/10
Love everything and everybody here. They are very understanding and compassionate ppl here. I have nothing but positive things to say about this place. Always treated with respect and courtesy.
I took my STI test weeks ago and they refuse to give me my test results. Also the lady that answers the phone is incompetent. Thanks for wasting my time.
Dont waste your time on this place. The office hours after 5pm for the clinic are misleading, and you cant get anyone live on the phone during the day to communicate. Very unprofessional.
They never answer the phone & when you finally get a chance to get them on the line the nurses rush you off the phone
Didn’t even get to find out anything about this place because they allowed me to schedule something for 10:00 AM and I arrive on time and nobody has been here for over 45 minutes. There was no communication or anything. Probably won’t be back.
When Someone Cares helps you out , its like youre in really good hands! Come as you are and they can help like no other .
Staff works with you to find the resources that specific to your needs. Walk-ins are welcome an the staff is always ready to help.
You all take a big weight off my shoulders every time! Very friendly and quick staff.
Nice, welcoming, and fast..this is a place that caters to the LGBT so you can’t get upset if you don’t qualify!
Briana is great. She is always willing to help you with whatever your problem is. If she doesnt have the answer, she will try to find it for you.
Super friendly, great staff, and very welcoming! Great for individual or couples testing :)
Fabulous staff, wonderfully supportive in spite of a few hiccups here and there.
Thank you to Someone Cares! They are a caring staff, I was treated well by the staff, and was checked out thoroughly.
They never answer the phone and the mailbox is always full. This is extremely annoying!!!
Horrible company that treats employees horribly.
It’s been 2 weeks still haven’t gotten my test results back and no one answers the phone
Very warm and welcoming staff, clean facility, decor is amazing!
FYI STD testing is not free here.
Place opens at 9am. Not 8am.

A very good experience, great attention from the doctor and the person who translated for us, the lady at the reception very friendly, very excellent attention
Excellent service, kindness, everything was very good
One more afternoon of learning and nourishing myself from different points of view super
