I was quite nervous, praying the COVID test would come back Negative this time, but while I waited with anticipation, I have to say that the staff was friendly and accommodating during my time there. Of course, I came back as Negative after dealing with COVID for a few weeks so I was elated going to the car to show my sister I was Now Negative. I couldve gone elsewhere but like I told my family, I remember the professional and courteous treatment in the past when I visited your facility. Thank you all for making my visit more tolerable from the day I was diagnosed with COVID until Tuesday when I got my Negative test back. I would recommend you all to anyone bcuz I never had to wait for a long period of time whenever I visited.
All the people there were very considerate of my needs from checking in until I checked out. I had a good experience. I would gladly use this facility again in case I cant get to my Primary physician.
I am a healthcare provider in a hospital. Several things you guys need to be concerned about.1. Everyone uses the iPad to sign in, it is never wiped after use. I couldn’t wait to use hand sanitizer after signing in.2. I waited 2 hours for a new employment drug screen in a waiting room with people who were there obviously being checked for flu or Covid or both. After an hour and a half of waiting, I checked on my wait-time status, and the desk person said there were 5 there getting drug screens while I was there, that there was still one ahead of me. Fine. Why does it take 2 hours to do 5 drug screens? The girl who did the drug screen was very pleasant.
I arrived and signed in at 4:25. I was the last patient to leave at 8:24 pm. I noticed 4 people signed in after me. I was called and placed in a room at 5:15. Afterwards, I sat & waited & waited & waited!!! Finally, the doctor came in and I was sent to be x-rayed. Well, the main part of my body that was aching was not x-rayed. I tried to tell the ladies what part should be x-rayed. Their response was, “We’ll he got the left knee down here”. So, when the doctor reviewed the x-rays, he said, “Your right knee …”, and I informed him my right knee was NOT x-rayed. At this point, it’s 8:17, they have turned most of the lights off and the employees were waiting with their purses on their shoulders. They did not offer to x-ray my sore right knee. The doctor prescribed medication that I could not get ASAP because my pharmacy closed at 7:00 pm. I left PriMed very sore & aggravated. This level of unprofessionalism in the medical field is 100% unacceptable and should not be tolerated!! PriMed received my co pay and my insurance will definitely cover the remaining fees for this unprofessional, uncomfortable, incompetent “cringe” service I received!!!
The staff were polite, efficient, very caring. I never felt like I was just a number to be run thru the typical medical mill. Everyone made me feel like they really cared that I was ill and genuinely wanted to help me feel better. And the doctor was amazing! She wasnt only about prescribing meds, she also suggested alternatives to assist with medications to help me feel better. She actually cared about my well-being! Very nice change! Thank you to everyone there!
I had a blast during my last visit. I was able to meet new friends and make others who were waiting, laugh. The staff was ultra patient with my frustration with the multiple sign in process..heck I thought I was having a pap smear, I got so excited.. great way to spend a Friday afternoon, at Pri-Med, getting a quasi physical, but no pap smear.
I was diagnosed having Covid 19 & The attending physcian Dr.Hale who examined me was wonderful along with the rest of the staff at American Family Care in Montgomery AL. Thank You all for helping diagnosing me with Covid 19 & havingDr.Hale explain more to me of All the symptoms having Covid 19 & prescribing me the medication needed to begin feeling better & getting rid of having Covid 19.Thank You AllRicardo M.
My Triage nurse, Chantana was really good with my blood draw. My veins are super small and she got it done painlessly. Also, I really appreciated the time the PA Maria took to LISTEN to me and to explain what was going on as well as how she would proceed in addressing my issue. The Registration person was great too…very efficient.
Everyone was so so nice and professional. Thats what makes the patients relax. Knowing that you are in the care of such an awesome staff. They treat you like you matter to them and not just some random person. Thank you for taking such good care of me.
I took my husband for the first time today. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The doctor listened and took time to make sure he treated my husband correctly with all his medications and issues. It was so nice not to have to wait a long to be seen, we were in and out within an hour.
Everyone was nice, friendly, and professional never had a bad experience since I started coming to this location. As a walk in always got in quickly never sat over 45 mins
I did the save a spot at 10:53. Arrived 3 minutes early than the time listed on my expected arrival time at 12. It is now 1:31 and I have yet to see a doctor. I am a breast feeding mother and tried to time this between feeds and get a baby sitter, now it is time for a feeding and I am not even close to being able to leave. No test have been ordered, I have been sitting in the corner room at the end of the hall. Update: left at 2:08 because I received no service. This place lacks empathy and refuses to communicate.
I obviously chose a day to come here when it was extremely busy. I got here at approximately 9:45 am and I am leaving at 2:00 pm. I would not have waited but I was feeling terrible and really didnt feel like finding somewhere else to go. After finally getting into a room, they were quick and thorough. I cant give 5 stars because of the extremely long wait time. 4 stars for the service. 0 stars for the wait.
They were very crowded on a Saturday morning but I was surprised how swiftly they moved us into rooms. It wasn’t so quick that they didn’t take their time with each patient but it definitely wasn’t a 4-5 hour ER wait time. The staff was also very friendly.
I havent been to this location in several years. Last time, I was very sick and they did blood work with results in minutes. Apparently, not anymore. I was also told that there are many meds that are not permitted at this location. How do supervisors over this clinic think these wonderful people working here are supposed to do their work and help people? Everyone here was great. Will definitely tell everyone how I was treated here. Great people.
The facility and staff were both very good. My registration process went well. The nursing staff was top notch. Dr. Hale was caring, helpful, and informative. Im glad I chose this facility to take care of my emergent health needs.
The Medical Assistant was VERY RUDE!!! I will not recommend NOONE to go the AFC on Vaugh Rd! She slammed our exam room door an was talking about us loudly to her co workers! Til I had to take up for myself! If she don’t like her job than why work there it’s sample! An I see other ppl had a problem with her before as well! 9/14/24 5:30 we was there! I give them Zero stars
I made an appt for 1:17pm - was seen over 1 hour later ( I provided all of my info beforehand). The Dr was ‘nice’ but rather brusque and LOUD - pretty sure everyone in the lobby overheard most of his post-exam info about me.Don’t visit this clinic if your privacy and time are valuable to you .
I made an appointment the day before to fit my schedule. Arrived early finished check-in. Was assisted and felt heard. Will continue use as needed.
Ive never had an issue with the staff. And, definitely know that Ill be back for many reasons. Mainly because this is the only location that I deal with for any emergency health issues and rapid drug testing!!! Thank you all.
I observed admissions taking the time to help a potential patient that wasn’t IPad knowledgeable, my experience was phenomenal throughout from the tech taking my vitals that made me feel comfortable during my time of illness and outstanding knowledge of the white male CRNP. He had a very good bedside manner. Hats off to that entire time that I was blessed to come across!!
I have been in this room for 2.5 hours and the only thing they have done is give me a covid test. I have not gotten any results and I have not seen a doctor. I even asked if I had been forgotten as and still I sit. This is crazy to have to sit through this and listen to the nurses laugh and talk while I sit here not feeling well.
My visit was GREAT best service I have had ever experienced. My nurse practiced was very knowledgeable and practically read my mind for all my concerns. The service was fast and I would recommend to any needing medical help. If I could give the place 10 stars I would. Thanks for everything
Staff were excellant. Debra was very helpful to a tech illiterate. Found everyone there to be excellant.
I went to Primed Vaughn Rd today having real bad knee pain & The Nurse Otreshia was absolutely amazing. She were patient with me from the time she called my name to go to the back, doing my vitals, to doing my X-rays, and assisting the doctor with me till it was time for me to leave and go home. She made sure I was okay. She’s very professional and very friendly. Thanks AFC for having such a wonderful nurse like her.
Did not have a good experience here and was also treated rudely by a staff member when I called the day after my visit. The doctor gave me a medication that is not even supposed to be used to treat my diagnosis. I had to wait several days (in the midst of suffering) to go to another doctor located a few minutes away to get adequate treatment. This doctor was completely shocked that I was prescribed this inadequate treatment by the AFC PriMed doctor. To top it off, there was a literal hole in the wall in my room (see photo). Would not recommend this place AT ALL. I came here has a last resort, but I would have been better off seeking a tele-health service from literally any other provider.
Front desk.. awful .. There was no one there & I literally stayed in the lobby for about 30 mins before even being acknowledged and asked for my co payment. When my name was called, she then proceeds to tell me that their system doesn’t recognize BCBS & some other insurance and she needed a card on file. I informed her that I was paying with my HSA card & I wasn’t putting a card on file. If I wasn’t in so much pain, I would have left! But no issues with customer service, they are just superrrr slow!!
I had a very pleasant experience at this location and the Nurse Practitioner was very helpful and informative. Whenever I have a problem I always visit this location.
Walked in with a massive Headache. I did the paperwork and I have insurance but it starts in October. Front lady calls me up says we cant take that and I would have to pay. I asked if you can bill me and no they cant. Been in Alabama for a few months now and its been a horrible experience so far.
This facility was fast & efficient. They tested me sent my meds to the pharmacy and I was on my way out. I really appreciated the staff & doctor they was nice & friendly.
RYAN NP WAS THE BEST ..HE TOOK CARE OF ME AS IF HE NEW ME ALL MY LIFE ...NO QUESTION ABOUT HIS PROFESIONAL..HE WAS GREAT. 5 STARS ACROSS THE BOARD...
Our experience was amazing. The staff had excellent customer service and bedside manner. The NP was detailed in her examination and explained the diagnosis and treatment plan. This is the best urgent care in town.
All the staff were very friendly. The reserving your appointment time was nice but the check in information was not. Next time I would just hand them my cards and not try to take pictures and send them. It didn’t work. The nurses were very nice and the nurse practitioner was great.👍
I had trouble with my insurance but the lady at the front desk, Kimberly, was so helpful and patient with me. It took a while but she made me feel like I was the only there.
They was very nice and very helpful & professional.. if the hospital is full I recommend urgent care for fast and friendly service ..
Dr Hale and the staff were so attentive and kind. Listened patiently and got right to the issue. Would definitely recommend!!
I appreciatethe professional staff. I was seen and taken care of in a very timely manner. Excellent Service!
They did a thorough and great job diagnosing. A little slower than usual since they only had one CNP working.
On my visit to AFC on Vaughn Rd. the staff was courteous, knowledgeable and very organized. Dr. for today was proficient and quite personable. Thank you AFC on Vaughn Rd.
Thanks so much urgent care, your kind considerate staff made my visit more than you will ever know! When having obstacles, one to another needs a helping hand !!!
Everyone in the facility was really kind I just feel they couldve done a more thorough examination of my issue.
The front Desk nurse was great 😊 I do feel rushed and didn’t get a chance to discuss everything…
The best urgent care I had been to. Doctor and every single staff from reception to the nursing care, I felt so comforted. Everyone was professional but compassionate
X-ray printer not working so I dont know what my problem is. Now going to another doctor and pay for more X-rays. Not happy cost me $100 for nothing
Wasnt able to be seen by a doctor because I didnt have 175 dollars to pay them first which is really sad because people dont always have money to pay right then and there and should at least have the option to be billed or something but yall just want the money thats all the doctors want is money you dont have money they dont wanna see you
Very friendly customer service, less then 30 min to be seen while this holiday is going on 4th of July, Nurses were very helpful,Dr. Marie help a lot
At ABC Primed registration takes too long. Using their tablet then your cell phone and then filling out paperwork that ask for the same information Ijust provided electronically. The staff seems friendly but this was within the first hour of business.
My visit was good. The wait wasn’t long due to very less people. It’s better to go when you know they’re not packed.
I completed all of the forms online and uploaded copies of my drivers license and health insurance cards. Securing my appointment time was very easy online. I received texts to inform me to arrive 10 minutes early. Upon arrival, I checked in and was directed to have a seat. Unfortunately, an hour passed before I was asked to complete the appointment forms online, despite having already done so. When I mentioned this to the receptionist and showed her the note indicating completion, she explained that there seemed to be a confusion with my applications and reassured me to wait. After waiting for another thirty minutes, she requested my copay. However, it wasnt until 30 more minutes had passed that a woman who came much later than I was seen! Frustrated, and already 2 hrs in, I approached the desk to inquire when I would be seen. I was told they were preparing a room for me and that I would be called back shortly. Finally after a ten-minute wait, the nurse called me back for vitals. Fast forward, 20 minutes until the doctor comes in, 20 minutes before I was tested for COVID, another 30 minutes before the doctor returns with results, apologizing for the slow staff response time. If youre looking for quick and efficient service, unfortunately, this clinic falls short of expectations.
Debra is a welcoming professional and the other staff I associated with were efficient employees. Thank you
My nurse was freaking fantastic and made me laugh the whole time. The doctor was efficient. Thank you!!!
Dr. Hale took great care of me and averted a health crisis. This location is highly recommended and they helped me on my health path. I am thankful and appreciative of all the care that I received. The check in process was efficient and I saw a healthcare practitioner immediately.
They wasted 3plus hours of my time.I told them I had workers I had to be there . I sat there and dealt with a hurting, broke hand no doubt. I didn’t need them to tell me it’s broke just to say after they more less scammed me out of money. oh yeah you need to go over to urgent ortho they did X-rays and don’t even send anything over to the ortho. so why waste a person’s time really worse place I’ve ever been in my life. I never make reviews but this place will screw you over point blank period. Nothing they did was of help not one thing .
The staff was very helpful , and I didnt have to wait as long as I wouldve at a hospital ER .Thank you for taking care of me .
I had a great experience today Artrena was amazing she was very nice and pleasant she took good care of me
I waited over an hour and half to be seen. I had a co pay which u lost my money. They are very slow. You come here to avoid the emergency room but you might as well go someone else. Do not waste your time coming here
As ill.as we were the experience was delightful. Polite, efficient, very professional 👌 EXCELLENT!
Ms Shipman, her nurse, front desk and x-ray tech was very professional and courteous. Everything was done in a timely manner. Thanks for taking care of me and I am very grateful.
The service was A1 I didnt have a long wait time and the nurse was extremely nice. The Dr. was very thorough and nice my experience was great!!!!!
Compassionate care by Chantana. Also Shirley in x-ray. NP Maria Silva, very knowledgeable, patient & friendly. Explained & answered all questions.
The light skin lady at the front with the curly hair was truly AMAZING! She helped out alot on yesterday and each time i come in her service was amazing. I would definitely recommend everyone to ask her questions if needed. It was also another nurse in the back that was extra nice. I’m sorry i don’t know any names, but she’s Chinese or Asian. Very good nurse. The rest of the nurses weren’t professional enough. I asked one of the nurses a question and she wasn’t no help at all. They were kind of rushing me out of there.
Wait time was a little over the given time which was expected and understandable. The bathroom in the lobby didn’t have any soap and the toilet seemed to be clogged but there was hand sanitizer right outside the bathroom at the front counter. I waited at the front counter to notify someone but they were speaking with someone and considering the fact that I wasn’t feeling well, I decided to just go ahead and sit down and rest. My overall treatment and service was great. Everyone was friendly. Dr. Wood was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions with no problem.
Great service quick service, clean facility and knowlegable staff. I was able to In and out With results.
I am a healthcare worker. I wanted to be checked to make sure I was not contagious as well as be treated. Dr Mendez was very thorough and explains everything. I was well cared for from the front desk , to the lab, to my walk out the door. I also like the ability to make an appointment online.
Dr.Shannon was great! I would recommend her to anyone. She listened and gave great advice. Thanks Dr.Shannon!!!
Nice, helpful staff. Understaffed so long wait times, but otherwise I recommend.
I like the way the Doctor took a concern about my issues. I liked it.
The receptionists at the front desk werePolite and helpful. Not just with me but all the patients. Had to wait awhile to see the doctor, but its cold and flu season. My overall visit was a pleasant one.
The front desk staff were AMAZING. Very helpful and kind. Dr. Mendez seemed polite enough. But the wait time was ridiculous. I waited 30 min before my name was called to the back, just to be waiting an ADDITIONAL 1hr and 40 min before I was ever seen again. Just to be given a basic diagnosis and 2 shots. I give the overall friendliness of the staff a 9/10 but because of the extreme wait and actual service/medication received, a 5/10.
Didn’t help at all. Went in for nausea and bad stomach pain and only thing they did was a urinalysis. Now I’m at the er. Very disappointed
Dr. Mendez was awesome. He was on point with bed side manner and attentive. The nurse was really good as well. She had good patient care and the two shots she gave me, I didnt feel a thing.
To begin, I am a medical professional in management and understand the unique challenges faced from the busy sick season and staffing. With that said, my experience was entirely unacceptable. I booked an appointment through the online portal at 12:15 and arrived on time and checked in with the front desk. I was NEVER told that they were short staffed, would be gone to lunch for the next hour etc. NO ONE was called back until after 1:15 so why make appointment slots available if staff is on lunch during that time and you don’t have rotating staff?? Once I got back to the exam room nearly 2 hours later, it was a quick 2 min visit from the tech and NP and swabs were done. Then another 2 hours of waiting while I watched staff casually standing around the desk areas snacking, eating Chick-fil-A, in no hurry whatsoever and not communicating with patients. Again, if something were communicated up front or an apology or anything, I could understand but this was completely unacceptable.
I greatly appreciate the staff today. I had some issues going on and the staff jumped into my crisis to keep me safe and calm. To Ms Latashia Jones, Thank you. First time I have felt like they cared about patients. To the staff that cared for me thank you also
My husband and I were very impressed with Dr. Hale. My husband presented with a respiratory ailment including a persistent cough. Dr Hale gave my husband a thorough examination and ordered a chest X-ray and treatment which covered his lung congestion, nasal congestion and addressed possible infection. He was so professional and really gave us confidence that my husband was receiving the appropriate medical care. Dr Hale’s staff was polite, courteous and efficient and I highly recommend Dr Hale.
Very professional got me in and out, great service.
I was there for 4 hours. 2 hours 45 minutes waiting in lobby. Nurse called me to back For 2 minutes nurse took pressure and temperature. Waited 45 minutes doctor came and had me take some deep breaths listened to heartbeat and felt my throat. He was gone in 5 minutes. Waited 40 minutes nurse came in for one minute swiped nostrils twice for COVID tests and twice for flu test. I reported to front desk told them I had to leave and have doctor phone in test results and or prescriptions. She asked me to wait. I waited 5 minutes Dr came in and told me tests were negative and he was having prescriptions called in to my pharmacy.
The entire staff was great from registration, nurse, and Provider.
The waiting room was almost filled to capacity but with 1 Dr and a couple of NPs, they managed to service all with great professionalism... especially on New Years Eve. The receptionist had a calm and pleasant tone which helps when people are ill and looking for some a solution to their pain or discomfort.
My health provider came in and was so sweet and so kind and took her time and answered all my questions. I really appreciate them from the front desk up. Very patient and very kind, will always use them.
This place was amazing I came in with three of my kids the staff was amazing. the provider was very nice. and made sure my kids was okay and also made sure I was okay even those I wasn’t a patient. keep being amazing and the ladies at the front desk was very professional and helpful.
I had a great experience at this office. And I will surely come back again. But you have to remember that your attitude has a lot to do with their attitude. So at least have a smile on your face and ask them how their day is going.
To summarize this location they are quick, professional, clean, and empathetic.
Very poor service was there for almost 3hours for really nothing gave me sum over the counter cold meds
I am the mother of Roman. I give AFC 4 out of 5 stars because they are professional and prompt. The only thing I dont care for is how long registration takes. Other than that I would and have highly recommended them. They get you in, checked out, and diagnosed quickly.
Hey theyre very professional Thank you all for Great service today Thank you
From front office staff to nurse and PA, everyone was professional and kind. The kindness goes a long way with me.
Was treated so nice here! I saw Dr. Marcial J. Mendez, MD. He was very prompt, friendly, and treated me well. I was also seen very fast. I will be coming back to this AFC again when needed.
I went inwith back problems. I aways go to AFC for years when have problems. I am always pleased when I leave because they are a caring group who cares about there patients that comes they do a follow up and that is. great, I I have confidence in what ever I love Dr.Hale,Shirley, Stephanie, and the other staff cant remember exactly every one name but they sweet and kind I recommend that any goes YOU have to have some patience because some times you have to stay longer and the sign in process is different. But Overall it is great,And I w continue to keep going. Because love is felt there.
This us the worst place by far. I went in with one thing and wasmisdiagnosed. I do not recommend anyone visiting here if they want to live
I was provided excellent service and care! Thank you to all the team members.
It was a nice a great experience, like any other Drs office you will have to wait. It turned out beautiful, the x-ray were taken then and shared with me.I didnt have to run off to another off and have them taken and come back for a follow up. It seemed to be a nice and friendly place the way everyone was working with one another and the patients.
Great doctors office. The whole experience was easy going and not stressful at all. All the nurses and doctors are super friendly and genuine. You don’t have to worry about a bad attitude from anyone at this doctor’s office. The nurses helped me out a ton by giving me advice on my situation and even telling me what I should do if my needs couldn’t be met at this location. And even made sure that my problem could be solved before I paid any co pays or fees, gotta respect that. Dr. Mendez is a excellent doctor, we had a very good talk and he not only fixed my issues but was patient and answered all my questions and concerns, he even gave me some good life advice that I’ll probably remember forever. I’m a young college aged male, with no insurance, and I don’t really know how going to the doctor works once you’re an adult.but they made the process haggle free and answered everything I asked with a smile on. Thank you guys for being just all around cool and keeping a positive attitude. 😎
Its in and out fast. Very courtesy and professional help.Thank you so much.
I went to primed on Vaughn Road today. It was not my first time going there but today was very pleasing to me. Ms. Jackie Dixon showed a lot of concern about how high my pressure was and shared how important it is for me to take my blood pressure pills. I was also very pleased with the promptness of Ms. Shawnee Simon. And I also would like to say thanks to the intake person for helping me complete my check in. You all was awesome. Keep up the good work. And God Bless!
The check in office was not very informative. We waited &waited & then asked when we would need to fill out something, they said a phone message was sent with check in info. I never thought to check my phone. They need to let you know that when you sign in. The front office/ waiting room was very nasty, i felt sicker just sitting there. There was no hand sanitizer in any of the containers. Nurse Assistant was great & very friendly. The Dr was friendly but had very few words.
The experience from check in to check out was great. The nurses and doctor were knowledgeable, professional, and kind.
It was a waste of my time! The so called “doctor” on duty was more interested in why I had three phones than the medical issue I came in for
This was the first time I had a bad experience in the years I have been coming to the office. Wait time in lobby was a little over my projected time. That was fine no problem. It was the time I spent in the waiting room that is my complaint. I was weigh in and blood pressure taken and asked the typical questions. I was there only to have my blood pressure medication refilled. After waiting for 30 minutes a nurse practitioner did come to the room and asked me why was I there and if I have had my medications refilled there. Yes I have. She said give me a few minutes and that was the last I heard from anyone until I open my door and she and Dr Hale (whom is my regular physician) was sitting at computers. I asked if she had forgotten about me and she responded no she did not forget about me but she had discharged me. Well she never told me that she had discharged me and I sat in the room for over an hour. I ask since I was discharged could I leave and she did say she sent my refill to the pharmacy and if I wants to stay for my print out. I said no because at that point I was quite upset with the nonchalant way she spoke to me and I do believe she forgot about me.
Very nice people they get right on top of the problem. I just wish my drug store realized people get sick on Saturday afternoons and Sundays. It’s bad to be sick and have to wait for your medicine Adam’s drugs step up and take care of your customers.
Ms. Shipman is an absolute jewel!! They were closed by the time that I was brought to the back. Despite being closed, she patiently addressed my concerns and all with a smile on her face. Its not often that you come across a provider who still shows compassion for their patients. Her assistant (Im not sure of her name) but she was great as well...excellent bedside manner.
Im not really satisfied with my experience here. I arrived at 10:30a.m. and left at 2:30p.m. I was taken to the back at 12:50p.m after sitting in the extremely hot lobby for over 2 hours, and was asked twice which pharmacy I use, only to be given hand printed prescriptions that I had to physically drop off. The doctor didnt wash his hands when he entered the room and grabbed a tongue compressor and another disposable tool to use to examine me. I could not understand most of what he said and I sat for another hour after he left, waiting to be diagnosed with the sinus issues I told them I had and that were the reason for my visit. I waited all that time to see the doctor for less than 5 mins, smh. Thankful for the intake nurse who noticed I was still there after so long a time but hadnt yet been discharged. She sped up the process and although everyone was pleasant, I wont be returning to this location if I can help it. Its just too much to go through when youre already not feeling well.
The wait was extremely to long we arrived at 12:30 was Called to the back around 1:50 wasn’t seen until 4:00
The customer service was so polite and everyone was very nice
The staff was nice and the services was good. I was highly disappointed with the price why is there a co-pay and additional pay just to tested for whatever you need to be tested for. Even with insurance how are you out of the test the insurance pays but not out of the out of pocket pay test whats the difference the results will be the same, Im just putting this how it was told to me. Please explain how that works.
Long wait, but I guess that’s expected with urgent care. The entire staff that I encounter was very nice and they seemed to tend to patience in a timely manner. No one appeared to be idle and that was good to witness-everyone working diligently. I haven’t nothing bad to say I appreciate this AFC and the staff.👍🏾
I went in because I had a sore throat but more importantly was coughing and throwing up often enough that I threw up twice just waiting in their lobby. The sickness made me miss work for a week, and the doctors/nurses refused to fill out my work’s required paperwork for no apparent reason, putting me and my family’s livelihood on the line.Do not go here if you value your job. The staff does not care about you.
Shannon Shipman the NP was amazing so were the ladies in the back especially the xray tech/trainer she was very concernedThe front desk staff could smile more they seemed aggravated n unhappy but I’m glad that they didn’t set the tone for the whole clinic
My pain is better. I was goven a injection and two prescriptions. The staff was very kind. To the staff know that you are much appreciated by all and a community helper. Thank you!
Dr. Hale is always awesome...I always receive great service. The staff...Ms. Shirley and Kimberly...always super nice....I love the environment.
Staff was very rude and impatient with me. Nurse prationer never actually talk with me. Instead she openly talked about my case I. The hall with the medical assistant were other patient could clearly hear them talking. The staff never went into to details as to my condition or tried to explain any other options or treatments to me. The staff was very curt to the point of being respectful and weirdly enough the medical assistant that I did interact with never made eye contact with me. I think the behavior I encounter was based on my demographic. The staff seemed as if they did not care and that I was an inconvenience to their talents and that they were clearly misandrous.I will not me returning. AFC please hire staff that actually want to service everyone and not just who they identify with.
Other than long wait (> 3hrs) In small crowded waiting area (mask optional) & rearrangement of seating area R/T scheduled maintenance (changing out light bulbs on stated busiest day, time of visits) the medical care was excellent. The medical & administrative staff were proficient, n services, treatments provided. Especially impressed w clarity and patience of staff with instructions .
Great visit. Meds were given, Sister was taken care of and feeling much better. Paperwork is harendous, need to hire someone to d this job. If u are sick you won’t feel like filling out all of this paperwork and scanning your cards and all of this etc etc!!
The wait is horrible. It was only 3 people in the waiting room when I walked in at 9am. After checking in, the system told me I was number 4 and should be seen by 930. 😑 That time came and went. I didnt get called back until 11:15. They took my temp and the provider told me all she could do was give me a steroid and antibiotic shot. 😩 I came in for chest pain and sore throat. Ok so I got my shot. They told me they would be back to bring me my discharge paperwork. I sat there for 30 min and finally left. It should not take 30 min to bring discharge paperwork when there were NO test ran or blood drawn. This has definitely motivated me to find my own primary care physician. I gave 3 stars because the actual doctor was nice and professional.
My experience overall started great as I was greeted for vitals by Kalyn Blackman. She was very well concerned and professional. On the other hand, towards the end of my visit I was treated less than professionally by the Terrika Anderson Cook, NP. She was very dismissive as I was expressing my health concerns and when I attempted to have a conversation with her about our interaction she was incorrigible.
The wait was a little long but it’s cold and flu season so I understand being a registered nurse myself. Loved the NP here very sweet and knowledgeable as well as the rest of the staff awesome customer service!
I want to thank Jackie Dixon crnp, trena grant, kalyn Blackman,Latoya king, chantana cheng for outstanding customer care because I came in with a fever of 102.9 and could barely stand but these wonder people I thank God for because I was going to go to the ER and God said go there and I did and nurse practitioner Jackie OMG YOU was really determined to find out what was it going to take to make me feel better before I left and the ladies deserve a very big recommendation for having great attitudes, great care and just making sure I was ok. Every task was completed with care and I would recommend you all to everyone. I know the job is not easy because I do the same work so I definitely recognize compassion when I see it and receive it. THANK YOU ALL FOR EVERYTHING 🫶🫶🆑
The staff were fantastic! Great service, very thoughtful and friendly.
In and out in under an hour.very nice, clean and knowledgeable staff
Great doctors and staff. I prefer to go here than any hospital in Montgomery.
I visited AFC PriMed Vaughn Road two times in the past three months. At my visit in Nov. 2023, I saw the doctor, he called in meds; all was well. I had a reaction to one of the meds. The doctor told me that I could possibly have a reaction to this med, and call them back if I did, and he would call in another med. I did exactly that, but the person who answered decided to play doctor and she told me to just stop taking it then. I quoted her and she said it again. I said ok and I hung up. I called back about two minutes later; got the same person. I asked her if she had gotten her info (stop taking it), from the doctor; her answer was thats what they are going to tell you (see above for what the doctor had already told me to do. I explained to her that Im not a doctor but I have taken a few ANTIBIOTICS in my life and you dont just stop taking it (see above for what the doctor said).I went to the same PriMed today with the same upper respiratory symptoms. As I was checking in, I explained to the same person referenced to above, that I didnt have my drivers license on hand, but I had the number, AND I had my military ID. She said, you cant check in. I paused, and repeated what she said, I cant check in and she said no, you cant check in.I left there and went to another local PriMed and was signed in without problems. Their staff was knowledgeable about their system.Prior to these two experiences, I had good service at this PriMed, from the in-take staff, to the nurses, to the nurse practitioners; doctors. Unfortunately, one person can and has tarnished this office good reputation. I will be calling corporate in the morning...
AFC fixed me right up, Im feeling better already, thank you AFC.
The staff was very nice and friendly. The doctor was even cordial. The receptionist needs to be friendlier and she needs to tell the patients to make sure our info goes through on the tablet when we press “checkin”. I waited and waited until I went to ask if my info went through, then she said she had no record of me registering. I had to start all over.Thank you for the help and I think I’m almost well.
The staff and doctor friendly and professional. I will be seeing them again when I cant get to my primary doctor.
I went there for a sprained ankle, when they called me back after waiting about 2 hours ,they took my blood pressure and said it was high. The nurse left out and said the doctor will be right in, well after about 40 minutes another nurse came in and took my blood pressure again and said it was still high. I reminded her that when I am in pain my pressure goes up ,even the first nurse that took my blood pressure said the same thing. Well this nurse told me I needed to go to the emergency room, we all know about the emergency rooms in Montgomery, ALI said I need you to take care of my ankle cause I was in severe pain. She had the nerve to tell me they cant treat my ankle because my blood pressure takes priority over everything else. I was appalled. Suppose if I had broken a leg, a arm or had a life threatening condition would my blood pressure take priority over any of those situations??. They kept pressuring me to go to the emergency room, of course I declined. I put no faith in no facility that tells me if I am hurt and extreme pain that my blood pressure takes priority over my pain!!! SHAME ON YOU. I EANT MY CO PAY BACK, CAUSE YOU DONT DESERVE FREE MONEY...YOU DIDNT DO NOTHING BUT WASTE MY TIME!!!
All of the great people working at this Urgent care facility were warm, welcoming, kind and considerate!!! I really enjoyed Dr. Mendez such a wonderful experience and kinda wish he still had a private practice!!! This WILL be my go to anytime I have an emergency! Thank you to the entire staff❤️
Expedient and very courteous service. The staff listened to health concerns and gave satisfactory treatment.
I visited the AFC-PRIMED on Eastern Blvd and Vaughn Road twice and each time I was handle with great care. The great customer Service at check-in, help and care from the Nurses, X-Ray and I cant forget the two Nurse Practitioners. Im getting better each day with God on my side and the Awesome Staff at this facility. Thank you all and keep taking great care of yourself and all of us.
Great service!! Pleased with my visit today.
If it were possible, I’d give 0 stars. I sat in the waiting room for 2 1/2hrs. Finally got to a room and sat there for 45mins with out ever getting vitals, seeing a Dr….NOTHING.Waited outside MY waiting room and told them I’m a Daycare Director and I’ve been here for over 3 hrs and all I needed was a steroid to get rid of this sinus stuff and make sure I don’t pass anything to the infants. There was child with disabilities and they were behind me and bless his heart, he was getting agitated for having to wait. I stood outside my waiting room door until I FINALLY someone who LOOKED to be “working” there. I asked what was going on bc I had been here for hours and I have to get back to lockup my daycare. The response “we busy” yeah, I get that. But keeping your patients informed is not asking too much! Anyway, she said let me swab this person and I’ll come back to you, I didn’t argue and let her go. Then she proceeded to get the swab and walked out of the patients room, looked at me and walked RIGHT past me. I let them know what a WONDERFUL 🙄 job they were doing and I walked out. I WILL NEVER STEP GOOT BACK IN THAT PLACE AGAIN!!!!
I arrived at the office, I was seen by staff, very nice. Medication was called in but the main medication I needed the pharmacy didnt have. So I called back worker by the name of Jazz, put me on hold for over 20 minutes now NO ONE will answer.🤔🤔🤔 WOW!!!!!!
Great experience! The staff was very friendly during the whole process. Mrs. Jackie went above and beyond to assist me! I waited for about a hour to be seen but it was 5 people in front of me . I had a finger laceration and they took care of it and gave me a shot. She was very knowledgeable and nice. Highly recommend this location.
The past few visits have been hectic due to massive load of patients. I come to AFC because Dr. Hale accepts Medicaid and is a great Doctor. Ive been a patient since Marty Lane, if you know you know. However, I moved back to my hometown a few years ago & now I am back and of course a patient again. You have to give this clinic its Flowers because they have a great staff. I came in on Friday and waited approximately 25 minutes before going to the back, my entire visit may have taken 2 hrs I was too happy. Plus I came early and was 1step from the emergency room but Nurse Practitioner Edwards got me taken care of right away and now Im taken my treatments...Thanks AFC Team
Very Courteous Staff. Knowledgeable Doctor who I would Love to have as my Primary Physician. Overall great Environment . Definitely will return for my Follow up!
I waited three and a half hours to be called back. They were busy, but they started calling people back that got there way after me. They said the system chooses who they call next. Seems flawed to me. I waited another two hours once back in the room. The staff was friendly though
The facility opened on time and the staff was very accommodating. The doctor and nurse were super informative. My needs were met in a timely matter. I will recommendAFC to others.Thank you AFC, Vaughn Rd., Eastern Blvd, Montgomery,AL
Very compassionate working and the wait time was fast
I’m very happy with the level of professionalism and care I received at this location. Although, I was not feeling well I was very grateful for the staff and the service they provided me. They were very helpful and accommodating to me. They were very knowledgeable and gave me some very helpful information on my illness. Great job keep up the good work!
The staff was wonderful the receptionist really set the tone with there loveable personality. The wonderful nurses there are amazing they did not dismiss my concerns or the way I was feeling and they are very diligent. Doctor Hale omg he is astonishing he listened to everything I was saying before he spoke came up with a plan of care and when I say in 24 hours I felt so much better I would definitely recommend this doctor office to anyone
All the staff members are very courteous, profession and polite.I did not have to wait a long time after the check-in. Social distancing and masks was very well carried out. No long wait after getting g into a rm. Very good explanations before tests was done. I love the atmosphere. Very clean building.
A very terrible experience will not be visiting this location again staff are liars and very unprofessional
It was a wonderful experience! After attempting unsuccessfully for months to receive a referral, this facility went above and beyond to help me obtain a referral. Shawnnae was incredibly educated and made sure I knew every step by outlining it. Their concern for their patients is genuine. In additionthe manners of Dr. Hale were also exceptional!Great AFC facility!
Very good doctors they took good care of me🙏🏿
Everyone was so kind and courteous! I would recommend this place to family and friends.
My experience here was HORRIBLE !!! i got here at 11 and although they were somewhat busy, they were clearing out rather quickly from the back yet the 4 people waiting (including myself) had been waiting for almost 2 hours and some longer than that . After finally getting called to the back , the doctor basically tried to guess what was wrong with me when i pretty much told him i was having stomach issues and instead he tried to test me for Covid . Finally decided to do my blood work after waiting an additional 50 minutes just for them to draw my blood . Afterwards, the nurse said it would only take 15 mins for the specific test to come , yet i waited 45 mins instead. The wait time is awful here !!!!!
The doctor comes in ask you the same follow up question about how much pain you’re in each visit. Doesn’t stay in the room any more than 2 mins before they’re ready to either throw a prescription at you, and or pointless follow up paperwork as if they’ll actually help resolve any issues that you have. They do not care! Go anywhere but here!
Staff was efficient and super helpful! Keep up the great work
Waiting period was too long, otherwise, the service was great.
Nurses was nice and lady at front desk was very help
The staff and nurses were so kind and attentive.
The service was great. It was a very pleasant experience from the front desk to seeing the doctor. She was very thorough and made me feel very comfortable.
After waiting for 2.5 hours, I was told that I couldn’t get assistance with high blood pressure because they didn’t have an EKG machine. The doctor didn’t even know what my blood pressure was and after going and finding out that it was 146/05, still stated that he couldn’t help. I guarantee you that I’ll still be billed for this appointment but after wasting my time and my money, the suggestion was that I go to the ER. I suppose someone being close to a heart attack is less important than leaving the office considering I got called to the back about 20 minutes before they closed. Next time, I’ll drive a bit further and find someone who cares about someone’s health. These people are only here to get a paycheck from your insurance company and truly couldn’t care less about you. Go elsewhere for decent treatment. This wasn’t my first experience where I felt invalidated there but it will certainly be my last.Edit: After being billed for this visit, I reached out to the email address provided and they adjusted things to match the treatment I received. While I wasnt a fan of this visit, Ive adjusted my review to reflect the prompt customer service regarding this. Thank you again for fixing things!
I will say my last visit has shown a lot of concern and sincere support from this winning team. And the wait time wasn’t long. The team get right to the point and will do everything to help as they can.
Everyone had a beautiful attitude and smiling all the times I was being waited on. I also witnessed they had that beautiful customer service attitude with Everyone I saw. The doctor Taylor was great as well as the one done my noses. Keep up the beautiful work. 😍
Very busy and, therefore, pretty slow. I was there for about 2.5 hours and saw a nurse or doctor for about 5 minutes. The quality of care was good and I was referred to a specialist.
The worse experience I’ve had with this AFC. Waited almost 2 hours and still wasn’t seen by physician.
They were very nice, polite, and professional
I had time wait because I was a walk-in but after completing paperwork on my own device. Which was easy and convenient. It gave me an approximate time of when I would be called to the back. Which decrease my anticipation of when I would be seen. Staff was friendly and efficient as well as the provider I saw in the clinic.
Dr. Shannon Shipman was very kind and thorough. She is an empathetic care provider who pays great attention to detail. Im very pleased with my experience.
The wait time is EXTREME, even if you check in online. You wait 3 hours to get to the back, then you wait again all while clearly hearing the staff have personal conversations in the hallway. They really need to learn to value others time. I am very disappointed.
AFC was awesome! I didnt think it was going to go as well as it did, bc there was a AA person at the front desk by herself, she was not friendly. (being honest) you fill out your info on their tablet (I think) and they respond by text mess, which is ok. The tech was nice and the NP was awesome! She showed me the XRay for my moms hand and explained to me that it was definitely arthritis. So, the outcome was Great!! If I could change anything, it would be the receptionist part, maybe shes doing a lot by herself and need more help bc I really wanted to walk away, she wasnt inviting, but I didnt, it was my mom that needed some assistance. Outcome was GREAT. It was CLEAN TOO..
Nurse Shipman was incredible. My wife and I both saw her, we were in Montgomery for work (from NYC).My wife turned to me and said,This is the first time Ive felt so supported and listened to by any medical professional Ive ever seen. Anywhere. The best bedside manner Ive ever experienced. Patient. Understanding. Kind. Listened with respect and care. And yes, gave us the treatment we needed to make us feel better.
I love the Doctors/Nurse Practitioner at AFC . The only complaint this visit was the time frame. I was clocked in w/a complete admissions at 12pm. Didnt get called back till 3
I had an awesome experience. Ms. Chantana Cheng was so helpful and accommodating as I am handicapped. The lady that escorted me to the exam room and took my vitals was super friendly and assisted me with my rollator as well as opening the doors for me to exit the facility. I hate that I didn’t get her name. God knows I appreciated her efforts. Lastly, Ms. Shipman, examined my eyes and she was awesome. She listened and answered my questions. I have no complaints with this staff - from the front to the back THESE STAFFERS ROCK!! I am so THANKFUL for my positive experience at AFC VAUGHN ROAD!!
I was treated with so much respect and support to sign in for my support for my visit. Thank you staff for your kindness and support and service.
Went in today! No front staff to help but doors open. Called and just keep ringing until they hung up the phone keeping in mind I am standing in there lobby. Eventually about about 10 minutes of me saying hello is anyone here a rude lady comes to the front and said not seeing patients today internet down no sign on the door so how was I to know. Just rude and unprofessional
First of all I was only there to take an X-ray of my thumb. The staff was not friendly. They took other patients back ahead of me! After sitting for over an hour and a half, they called me back to take X-ray. They didn’t have a split for my finger and it was no one there to to read it! I will never go back to Vaughn Road AFC again!
Excellent medical attention, understand why staff is fast with you so your wait is not long.
Very nice staff and the Dr was excellent. I felt like they cared about me.I definitely would recommend this place. Everyone had a good attitude.
We waited quite a while & the Doctor & Nurse finally came & diagnosed one of the issues. They couldn’t do X-rays there so they asked us to go to the ER since she was a Heart Patient. The prescription was sent to the wrong pharmacy, I called to let them know & it wasn’t corrected. Overall it was a good visit.
My visit was wonderful. The staff was great to me. I went in feeling my worst for a week and a half. When leving I immediately started feeling better. Wonderful!!!!
I love them! their always polite, very helpful and the Doctor is amazing and he shows compassion for his patients
Everyone in the office was great! The NP I saw was great and made everything simple. I would visit there again if I need care. The wait time was a little longer than I hoped, but it can be like that sometimes so I understand.
This place is awesome, one of the top Urgent Care facilities here in Montgomery AL. I went in this morning and was so surprised by the cleanliness, timing and service I received. Now, I’m on my way to feeling better.
I dont know about yall but Mrs. Shannon Shipman was EVERYTHING!!!! She got me in and out and OMG.....her customer service was unmatched. She listened to what I had to say about my symptoms and she doubled checked my lab results!! She was amazing!!! Some people are just born to do this type of work!!! When you go in. Ask for Shannon the Nurse Practicioner!!! You wont regret it!!!!!!
The wait was horrible .. We checked in by 130 and didn’t leave until 5. The wait was crazy.. I was better off going to a hospital with warm blankets and an TV for the wait. They need a better way for intake .
PA was very thorough! Administrative and nursing staff very polite!
Very pool service1. I hear chating and laugh while I waiting more than 20min.2. The doctor was very not nice. I was asking What might cause infection? And she was replying with annoied voice How do I know? Maybe you was with other people. If I were you I would never visit here again.
The Nurse Practitioner was compassionate and very caring. She explained and answered every question of concern and went the extra mile.
Artrena was very pleasant and she had a smile
Came got a check I’m mad as hell I’m a nice person why me some work there went in my bag I left it in the back they call me to come back to pick it up and I know how much was I had went to Walgreens to pay for my pill look in my bag no money but that’s what it get for not checking my bag b4 I left Plz don’t truth no one
No complaints everyone was just amazing from start to finish so helpful at the front desk and the doctor, nurses and everyone in the back area was very nice and knowledgeable..
This was my first time at this location. The nurses were phenomenal. I wish I could’ve gotten everyone’s name. I went in for a covid test, and my results took a little longer than usual, but they were also under construction so I wasn’t tripping. Dr. Shipman was so ethical and professional. I wish she could be my PCP. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. This is my second review lol. i just left from this location because i thought i broke my arm. Dr Mendoza was fantastic and his MA was really sweet. I didn’t catch her name but thank y’all for taking care of me.
Staff was very professional and nice!
I came in for back/shoulder/ and chest pain. I don’t feel like I got any real help and my symptoms were not relieved. The nurse who took my initial assessment was too busy to trying to correct me on where my pain is —(she wanted to make it a point that I was having pain under my breast not chest pain, my breast are a part of my chest so I didn’t get the point of trying to argue about it)— to ask any medical history or ask if there was something I could’ve done to cause the pain which are basic patient history questions. The doctor was basically whispering and didn’t help at all. I told him I had breast reduction in December because I thought maybe I pulled one of the muscles that was manipulated during surgery, he processed to ask unnecessary questions such as, are my scars big, did I pay for it myself, and how much was it. I was there for 2 hours just for an X-ray and for him to tell me I had musculoskeletal pain. Which solved nothing because that’s what I came in about. I wanted to know why I had this pain, smh. He prescribed me ibuprofen and a muscle relaxer both of which aren’t relieving me of my pain. Major waste of money and time coming here.
Wonderful staff and great experience. Other than the wait time (wasnt their fault) everything was great. Thank you so much
Do Not go there. I went in needing help with anxiety and depression, and I had a list of medication I was taking and two of them needed to be refilled. I understood they could not refill two of them but instead of someone talking to me, and helping me find something that they could help me with so that I didn’t go off somewhere in commit suicide. They dismissed me and escorted me out of the building like I was an addict. How rude can you be someone needs help you’re supposed to help them not just assume.
Shannon is absolutely amazing, knowledgeable, and has a great bedside manner!
The staff were very attentive and addressed all issues with importance.
I wish I could give a negative star. I was in the office for a TB skin test. After waiting over an hour I requested a refund and left. The receptionist was nice.
(10) Most likely Yes, they were kind and very genuine toward me. I did not have to wait. They worked with me in a quickly and a timely manner. I was surprised! The pharmacy had the prescription ready in a very short time. Yes, the staff just absolutely did a magnificent job. Most of all, they made me happy 😃.Yes, the Provider and Staff did a great job with me. I am satisfied!March 8, 2020 - The did a great job. I rated them on the scale of 10. I had a wonderful experience. 🙏
The visit and experience was and is always good. Services met and always meets my expectations. The wait time was extremely long but overall it was good. Four stars was given because of the long wait time.
Man this place is an absolute joke! What is the point of us even going online to make an appointment just to have to sit in the back for over 1 1 1/2 hours? Stop overbooking and care more about peoples health! I’ll never come back. If you’re sick or in pain go somewhere else.
The staff were very professional and they had great attitude with great smilesI appreciate how quickly I was seenThe doctor was thorough and very professional. I really appreciate his honesty in sending me to the emergency room for further treatment, rather than him wanting to protect his pride and guess at what was going in and treating itThe cause for my discomfort turned out to be completely something different than both the doctor and I thought the cause wasI would have continued to get worse had the doctor treated for what we thought was the cause of my discomfort
Dr.Mendez has a great bedside manner , and was very thorough . Wait time wasn’t too long considering this is peak sick season.
The receptionist is very friendly got the care I needed from the doctor was a little crowded but everything went smoothly
This was a terrible experience. The chairs in the lobby needs to be replace. Once I got to the back the footstool was fifilty. The bottom of the examining table was fifilty. The footholders for feminine examinations were fifilty. I know that the location has a high volume of African American patients and it showed how they view us. If this location had the same volume of Causian patients different review. The nurses were friendly but this should not be tolerated. I terminated my visit and asked for my copayment to be refunded. This location is a health and humanitarian violation!
I went to AFC because my grandson was sick and I knew he would get seen quickly the check in staff was very courteous and professional they were very patient with us when we were called to the back the nurse was very polite and patient as she waited for me to go to the car to get my grandson we was greeted with a warm smile and big hello she even took the time to make my grandson smile even when he didnt want too I was so glad she was our nurse and the dictor was very professional she came in with concerns about him and explaining really well about his care she explained the medications he was receiving and asked what drug store di we want them to be sent even though I changed my mind it wasnt a bother to her we left happy and my worries was put to rest if you are ever feeling bad and need to see a doctor right away please visit the AFC on East Blvd across from Popeyes on Vaughn believe me you wont regret it
I was treated very well at AFC PRiMed Clinic ,Vaughn Road. Maria M Braxton , NP was great! She knew what she was doing. She was very concern about me. Her bedside manners were great. She cares about her patients. I was referred to Baptist Ortho and I didnt know they existed. Im glad she did, Dr. Curtis and staff were great also.
My check-in experience was not friendly as I did not realize it was two-fold and it set me back behind everyone in the waiting room and queue vs #3 in line when they opened! Very upsetting. The Dr I saw was wonderful though. I left feeling cared for. Thanks. 🙏🏻
