My husband and I had our first appointment this past Friday and I can say, we absolutely loved our NP, Holly. She matches my personality so well. She is very thorough, caring, and wanting what’s best. She gave us options and let us go with what’s comfortable for us. We agreed to everything she recommended. I was so scared before our appointment I was shaking. By the end, I felt so relieved. She calmed my nerves and made me feel like an actual person, and not just a number. I highly recommend them already!!

I dont quite understand why there are so many bad reviews against Dr. Meter. My wife and I have 3 daughters thanks to him and his treatments. He was a bit different but he would sit with us for 30 minutes if necessary and discuss options etc. I really dont care what he acted like, so long as he didnt disrespect my wife, as long as he helped us have children. Lets just say that the supposed best doctor for infertility in the Pittsburgh region couldnt help my wife, neither could two others. Dr Meter brought us success in having children and for that I will be forever grateful.I believe where most of the bad reviews come from is that many people dont like to hear the truth today and are way too sensitive and take things personally. Dr Meter often cut right to the chase when he spoke. He got right to the point. I remember when he had to run a test on my wife in a hospital environment that often makes a woman feel very uncomfortable and sometimes faint. The entire time his biggest concern was how she was doing and if she felt discomfort his instructions were to let him know immediately. There was a nurse or two who didnt seem to care for men too much but Ive found that when dealing with reproductive medicine and maternity in general that is often what youll find among the nurses so it was not a surprise. Overall I think Dr Meter was fantastic. He helped us have children when nobody else could help my wife.

0/5 stars. My wife and I were so excited to start our journey to become parents and I overlooked red flags but as time went on I couldn’t believe how awful things became. On our first visit the consultant spoke with us telling us about options and a general guideline of the process. When Dr. Meter entered the room (both my wife and I in masks) his first words were “haven’t I gotten you pregnant before.” This behavior continued as he never seemed to know what was going on with scheduled visits or our case. I’d come in for vaginal ultrasounds and he would ask me why I was there. He’d enter the room and point to me (while my wife was present) and say “we’re doing scheduled intercourse right?” After my HSG test he said he “thinks” I may have a cyst or “it’s probably nothing, it could be something, or likely just a bubble” never clarified what he saw or what it meant, then became very aggressive with some kind of exploratory surgery. Without knowing or being given an explanation why I was very uncomfortable about having surgery and asked if we could do another round or IUI before considering surgery. He said yes but if 2 more IUI attempts fail we should seriously consider surgery. When I came in for an ultrasound (which they do prior to IUI rounds) he asked why I was there and why I hadn’t scheduled my surgery. He then for 3 days in a row said we couldn’t do an IUI attempt bc he didn’t see any follicles. At this point I stopped going and found a new Dr. My new specialist repeated my HSG and clarified that I had a fibroid outside of my uterus and it definitely didn’t require surgery AND surgery could have been more damaging causing uterine growth issues when I became pregnant. I spoke with the clinic to arrange having my sperm sent to my new clinic and what was required, the day before my sperm was to be picked up they called me for fees that had never been mentioned to me prior.I do not trust this clinic and although Dr. Meter has retired (not soon enough) I did not have a good experience with the staff. The nurses are indifferent and appear uncomfortable during appointments, I feel like costs should be disclosed up front and not last minute. All in all, horrible experience. I understand there are not many options in the area but I would definitely try to look elsewhere. I felt very uncomfortable as a lesbian trying to get pregnant and as a woman in general.

I had a wonderful experience with this clinic. Dr. Heitmann was by far my favorite. Dr. Meter and Rowan werent bad, but their appointments just felt rushed and it was obvious they didnt read my chart before appointments. Dr. Heitmann had such a good bedside manner, always explained everything thoroughly and clearly, and was also always positive and saying good luck and fingers crossed after each IUI that he did for me. The nurses at this clinic also always go above and beyond and are so good at remembering your face and asking about life events. Even the schedulers were very pleasant and always made room for your busy schedule without making it seeming like an inconvenience. Couldnt recommend this clinic enough!!

My partner and I are absolutely thrilled to be working with Dr. Heitmann as we are trying to conceive our first baby. He is very professional, friendly, and makes us both feel comfortable. We leave the appointments with all of the information we need which is wonderful. Weve also had a great experience with the other staff - Vickie, Misty, and Holly thank you for your kindness, and showing that you truly care.

Dr. Heitman was so amazing. We had been trying to conceive for almost 6 years. We had an iui done one time and we conceived our beautiful baby girl. :) I cannot recommend them enough.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience with the clinic. The staff always helped to lighten the mood. Dr. Heitmann was also amazing. He was very informative, honest, and always willing to answer questions and explain things in detail. I really enjoyed working with him and the staff and would recommend to anyone!

Everyone in this office is so lovely. Brittany is the provider we see and have been so happy and comfortable in her care! We drove quite a distance and it is so worth it because itq of the care we receive.

Dr. Meter and the entire staff, including other fertility doctors we had the privilege of working with, were the some of the greatest, most professional doctors and medical staff we have dealt with. Not only were they professional, courteous, knowledgeable, but they truly cared and felt more like family at the end of this portion of our journey with them. We will miss working with them and seeing them on a regular basis but they got us where we needed to be in order to help us begin our family. We owe everything to them and couldn’t be more thankful for everything they’ve done for us. Highly recommend the fertility center at WVU and we look forward for our next adventure with them in the future when we decide to expand on our family even more.

I’ve had nothing but a great experience dealing with Dr Heitmann. He helped us conceive our rainbow baby and has been nothing but helpful and so kind through it all. I was treated so well and not just as someone else who was there to give him my money.

I would have gave this a 5 when Dr. Horowitz and Dr. Toffle, were in the office! However, since they have been missing, I now give the clinic a 0 if possible!!! I have been attending this clinic for several years only to all of a sudden, not be treated by the new doctor who has taken over Dr. Rowan. I have done everything in my power to be patient with Dr. Rowan. I do not suggest this clinic at all anymore! If you can avoid it, I would at all costs! They are not concerned for the greater good of the patients there any longer!!! My story is entitled too long to type, or I would gladly expose the way I have been treated past and present at this clinic! This review is not based on being angry, it is based on pure disappointment and dissatisfaction!!

We had an amazing journey with Dr. Heitmann! He was able to open up one of my tubes which caused us to fall pregnant with medication. We are so thankful 💗 We graduated 😍

All 3 of my daughters have severe endometriosis & have been treated here for several yrs under the care of dr gary horowitz. My oldest daughter is a stage 4. I cant say enough of dr horowitz credentials, bedside manner, & general knowledge of endometriosis. He truly is a phenomenal physician and human being. However in his absence the only dr in the clinic that is available is dr shon rowan, who is immature, unprofessional, and has little or no experience with endometriosis. Paired with his side kick karen merryman, whos title should be damage control rather than nurse administrator, the 2 of them are bullyish, rude, and condescending. They are in no hurry to treat anyones pain or suffering, and will refer you to several other clinics in hopes that other doctors will relieve them of their obligation of actually treating endo patients. The only doctor ive ever heard of who will see you and then claim he cant treat you cause he hasnt looked at your chart. But will go ahead with an exam despite the fact he knows nothing of you or your case. And then whine about you being angry with him and not allow you to speak and explain that your frustration is more with the entire situation than him directly. Unless dr horowitz or dr toffle return to this clinic i do not recommend it for anyone. They will collect their fees and give you nothing in return but suffering and frustration.

Ive been a patient here for a few years. Things were great while dr Horowitz was here but Ive experienced nothing but the run around with the new staff. They were exceptionally rude and insensitive to patients. An overall terrible experience.

Awful experience with Dr.Meter. I definitely do not recommend. Our appointment was rushed and we were given as much information as we would have liked. I was told that I am young and still have plenty of time to figure it out and keep trying and to come back in 5 months.

Dr. Rowan, Vickie, Karen and crew are absolutely great! I would recommend them to anyone. They were very patient and understanding of our situation Above all I appreciate their honesty and attention to detail.

Great experience here. Gave me honest advice and didn’t try to lie to me. Everyone in office is super nice.
