After countless unsuccessful treatments with another doctor, I was very nervous about potentially going to see another fertility specialist. However, my husband and I had heard great things about Dr. Check and his practice so we finally decided to give it a shot. Every single person we have interacted with has been so friendly, amazing, and welcoming so it was clearly very worth it. We can’t thank everyone at Cooper enough for how they have treated us especially during the crazy times we’re living in right now. We highly recommend them for anyone who may be having fertility issues!!!
I cannot say how grateful I am to Dr Check and the whole team at Cooper institute. I was diagnosed with POI and when other clinics turned me down and gave me a 1% chance, they did not. It wasn’t an easy journey and a lot of times I had doubts, but the nurses and Dr. Check kept me going. They really care about their patients and want to see you succeed. Every treatment is unique and individualized. I’m so happy to say that after 9 months in their care, I’m now 23 weeks pregnant from an IUI cycle. I will always be grateful to the whole staff.
Dr Check and his staff were so amazing. I can’t thank them enough. He is the best! The nurses were amazing and always encouraging. He really takes time out with his patients and tests for things other clinics do not. I read all his studies on the plane to go see him. After two IVFs with Cooper (2 failed at a previous clinic) I delivered a healthy baby boy and we are so grateful.
I had great experiences with this clinic. Dr. Check is highly knowledgeable, thorough, and has a wonderful bedside manner. I appreciate that he provides research articles to patients for further reading about their treatment. I feel like I am in good hands here.Everyone—from the front desk, billing, phlebotomists, embryologists, doctors to nurses—were professional and empathetic as I went through my first IVF cycle. They really helped minimize the stress out of what is typically a stressful situation. Andi, the anesthesiologist, was wonderful, too. Dr. Sobel did my retrieval and transfer and he was great. Compassionate doctor who truly cares about his patients. My only complaint is it’s hard to get in touch with billing. Once I was able to speak with them, they were prompt and took care of things quickly, but it was a bit stressful trying to get with billing in time to start a cycle.
I had a great experience with Dr Check & the entire staff. I have 2 children via IVF because of Dr Check & all the staff. It is very overwhelming & emotional experience & the staff was great at explaining everything.I recommended good friend & she had a great experience as well! Twins boy & girl. Would highly recommend!
I feel very lucky that Cooper was recommended to me when I found out I needed a specialist. The biggest attraction for me was the ability to monitor remotely. After meeting with Dr. Check and his staff, it was obvious that they truly care about their patients. Each patient’s protocol & treatment are customized specifically to them - you will not get a “cookie cutter” or “one size fits all” approach here. They do their best to keep things affordable for their patients while providing quality care to their patients. They are your biggest cheerleaders and are there to support you in any way they can. I am truly grateful for the staff at Cooper for making my dreams of motherhood come true!
I thank gd every day for Dr Check and his incredibly devoted hardworking team. They are the only reason I have THREE children. I found Dr. Check after years of trying at another office who just treated me as a number, who just prescribed things for no rhyme or reason and not as an individual patient. Once I got to Dr Checks office, they worked tirelessly to get to the bottom of why I wasn’t able to get pregnant and made a treatment plan that was meant for me. They work literally around the clock - I have never seen such a hard working team and never met anyone as brilliant as Dr Check. This is the ONLY place I would recommend to anyone going through infertility - Dr Check and his team are the reason I have children and they supported me through the entire difficult process. It is a no frill place that is there to help families have children and i wouldn’t recommend anyone else. Thank you to Dr Check and your team for the endless hard work - I wouldn’t have my family without you.
My little princess would not be here today if it wasn’t for Dr. Check & his staff. After RMA told me I was in menopause & I had a 1% chance of conceiving, I found Dr. Check and saw him for a 2nd opinion. After meeting with him and having a really in depth workup, he told me he was confident he could help me get pregnant. He asked me to be patient while we got my body back on track since I had not had a period in months & my hormone levels were not good. I was 40 when I saw him. His protocol worked and 8 months later I was pregnant.
Im beyond grateful for the opportunity to work with Dr. Jerome Check, and his compassionate, dedicated team. I am a new patient ~ traveling from California to continue my IVF journey, after 3 years, 20+ egg retrieval attempts, and 2 failed transfers at another clinic. I have interviewed at least 10 of the top doctors around the country ~ and Dr. Checks reputation is unparalleled for difficult cases. The waitlist for an appointment was well worth it... I finally consulted with Dr. Check just before Thanksgiving, and was so grateful for a glimmer of hope, based on science and his experience. He patiently answered all of my questions, and followed up our call with enough research papers to fill a book, about other women in their 40s he was able to help become pregnant with their own eggs... even DOR cases. While I am just getting started with Cooper Institute, I feel I am in the best hands. His nurses, billing, andrology department... EVERY single member of his team has been kind, helpful and competent, as I begin moving all of my medical records to their office. Its not easy to coordinate logistics as a travel patient, but Cooper Institute has been wonderful every step of the way. I hope to update this review as another *miracle* patient success story... for now, I feel confident that Dr. Check & Co are my best and final chance for getting pregnant with my own eggs. Best of luck to every other woman on this difficult journey...
Dr. Check gave me the miracle baby I was about to give up on. After countless timed cycles and IUIs, and 7 failed rounds of IVF with 3 fancy NYC doctors/clinics, I took the leap and became an out of town patient at Cooper. Check listened to every part of my journey, and provided next steps with research to back it up. It was an adjustment to transition to being an out of town patient at an old school clinic after experiencing “boutique style” clinics in the city, but in the end none of those bells and whistles were what was ultimately needed to get to my take home baby. My only regret is that I didn’t get on the waitlist sooner!
I cannot say enough amazing things about this place!! We switched to them from Penn at the last minute because we weren’t happy that they wanted to alter my cycle to work around their schedule since it was the holidays. Apparently that’s referred to as “batching patients”. I was very hesitant about going here because their success rates weren’t as high. At my consult it was explained to me that they take on the impossible cases that other fertility clinics won’t touch because they didn’t want it to impact their own success rates. Cooper did everything around my natural cycle. They monitored me so closely to make sure my egg retrieval was successful(The day before trigger I went for blood work in the morning and afternoon to be sure) and did my transfer on a Sunday when it was snowing outside. We were successful on the first transfer. We implanted 2 embryos and now have our 2 amazing 2 month old twin boys! I cannot say enough positive things about this place. It was also significantly cheaper than Penn which was an added bonus! Highly recommend going here.
I will be forever grateful I made the decision to switch to Dr. Check and his team. After many years of ttc I am happy to say I am 24 weeks pregnant with our long awaited baby girl. Dr. Checks approach is outside of the box and he is willing to try many different options before jumping into IVF. Its been a long road and we can not wait to meet our check baby in March!!
Having experienced the level of extremely antiquated instruction for IVF and the arrogant attitude by the office manager, I would highly recommend not even a consultation with this practice. The office manager is trashy and rude. Blames the patient for misinformation from her staff and poor communication as well as judgemental. All files are handled with outdated practices using paper receipts, forms etc. Instructions are given verbally with the assumption patients know about IVF drugs and administration and the nurses/ staff are too impatient to answer questions. The entire office is dirty and the rooms are cramped. The message totes compassionate care, but the staff is anything but compassionate. Experienced very uncomfortable situations with Dr. Check that left my husband and I feeling violated. In addition, Dr. Check is not involved in the IVF process after consultation.Cost is the same, if not more, than standard IVF procedures.I dont have any faith in the nurses administering proper medication dosage for a successful IVF cycle as the disorganization of this practice is truly unprecedented so much so that the proper amount of medication was not ordered for my cycle and had to reorder medication from the pharmacy numerous times that were time sensitive therefore, resulting in trips to a pharmacy not anywhere near my home or office taking time away from work and family. General lack of competency and compassion made an already stressful situation much worse. Go literally anywhere else.
When my husband and I started trying to get pregnant, we never understood why we were having no success. After going through our first fertility clinic and becoming pregnant, I had a horrific miscarriage and was treated like I was just a number. Then, I was referred by a friend to Dr. Check and at our very first consultation, Dr. Check was able to tell my husband and I why we werent having success. Dr. Check and his staff came up with a game plan that was tailored to our specific needs. I had two unsuccessful IUIS and finally went through the IVF process which was emotionally tough on me. I did become pregnant but I sadly lost the pregnancy. The doctors and nurses at this fertility clinic care very deeply about the women going through IVF and other procedures and want to make sure we all are taking care of ourselves mentally and emotionally because dealing with fertility issues is very difficult and they understand that. I have faith that Dr. Check, the doctors, nurses and their entire staff will help me and my husband conceive our miracle baby! I wouldnt go anywhere else. If you need assistance, you are in great hands here!
I am currently in treatment for IVF with Cooper Institute. I have very mixed feeling about this facility because one day it can be a good day and other days it can be not so good. Ive been in treatment since October and I have only sat and spoken with Dr. Check twice, 99% of the time you deal with just the nurses which they are all wonderful. My issues mostly come from the front desk and sometimes the women that take your blood arent very nice either. The office opens at 8 AM and you can never get anyone on the phone until 8:30 or later because there isnt a receptionist or they pick up the phone to put you on hold so they can continue their story with another co worker (Ive seen this while waiting in the waiting room) and when there is a receptionist, they arent always in the most pleasant mood. Sometimes I feel as if I am being left in the dark and treated like I have done this treatment before. This is my first experience with IVF and I have no idea what all the technical terms mean. I think the only reason I continue to go is really because the nurses are very sweet and have no problem answering any of my question and make me feel at ease. As far as the rest of the staff they need to work on their customer service and learn to be a little more compassionate. After all this is a very emotional and physically and mentally a draining experience that all their clients are going through.
I have been with Dr. Check since October 2021 and they have been exceptional! My first RE made me feel like a number and made me feel infertile pushing donor eggs. When I mentioned my low AMH and high FSH the nurse was not even phased. Dr. Check is the first doctor to say “Let’s see what your body does naturally.” As a nurse practitioner I could tell you that the care and compassion that Dr. Check and the nurses exhibit are beyond exceptional! I would highly recommend Dr. Check and staff.
I don’t even know where to begin.. I’ve been with Dr.Check since 2019. You will NEVER ever find a doctor like him. He is very unique , so brilliant! He’s just the best!!! Dr.Check is my hero!! Something i will forever keep with me there was something in my labs that had concerned me and i was so worried during my pregnancy that DrCheck called me the day before 4th of July and reassured me that everything was going to be ok and we talked for at least an hour!! Now no doctor does that!! There’s only ONE Dr.Check in this world!! I will forever be grateful for everything he’s done for me and his whole amazing staff!!!
If there was an option of 0 stars I would give it to them. We’ve seen doctor once, most rude nurses in the world. No instructions at all, nobody answers the phone. All they do is call you to go in to do tests, but you will get 10 different answers from 10 nurses. We ended up doing the wrong thing because we were told like that by nurse, but when we saw doctor he told us that we were doing it wrong. Doctor is professional and highly experienced, but his staff is 0/10!!! Every time we walked in there we felt like we were on needles and they made us feel so uncomfortable like we were getting that for free!!!
As I’m reading the reviews of this practice I can’t help but wonder why the administration of Cooper would not have made drastic changes for improvementThe reoccurring theme is the rudeness of the office staffI have a niece going for treatment and first hand experienced the brutal rudeness and nastiness of the office staffMy GodWhen you think of the purpose of this practice how could this be acceptableI will make a bold statement about Cooper and I can substantiate every single experienceThe doctors are all wonderful but it seems from my experience that Cooper pays a sign on bonus for hiring nasty rude and unprofessional office staffNo it’s not an isolated incident it’s across the boardWhat a shame for doctors who see patients and are excellent at what they do and have to put up with the worst possible staffIt has to be the administration that is responsible for staffingIt cannot be a coincidence that every single office has some of the worstAnother bold statement. If Cooper got rid of the outright incompetent, grossly nonfunctional PATENT RELATIONS STAFF I can guarantee there will be drastic improvementMost calls to that useless group has to do with staff issues and they WILL NOT EVER RETURN CALLS. They are the epitome of rudeAfter years of this nonsense anyone would have to conclude that if office staff knew that the people entrusted with overseeing their behavior were responsive they would never behave the way they doI’m almost tempted to call them all out but it won’t be fair to the wonderful doctorsGo ahead Cooper and write the patronizing comments that you’re glad this was brought to your attentionWe all know that’s as much effort you will give
After years of unsuccessful treatment and the unwillingness of several drs. to let me try ivf at 46, Dr.Check and his staff provided incredible care and I delivered a healthy baby girl 2 months shy of my 47 birthday! My daughter is now 11yrs old and the greatest gift to our family. Dr. Check understood how important this pregnancy was and we will always remember him with deep gratitude.
Going to this office starting great until I conceived. The lack of support, conflicting information, and non caring was unreal. Working in the medical field, including several major hospitals, this office was a disgrace to the medical community. The equipment and filing system is extremely outdated. They still utilize a paper filing system. Ultimately this office told me in my 6th week that since they did not see a fetal pole to go home and wait to miscarry. I began to experience extreme pain and they were no help. There only advise was to go to the ER. Left with no alternative I went to the ER and was told I had a healthy pregnancy with a fetal pole and my embryo had a normal heart rate. I’m currently 19 weeks. Please safe yourself the heart ache and go elsewhere. Dr. Check was great, unfortunately I was no able to speak with him during my complicated period which is not helpful.
After multiple cycles at several other clinics, Carrie Wilson (3rd party), Dr Check, Dr Sobel and Dr Choe got me pregnant!! The first cycle at Cooper too! I am forever thankful for Cooper for making my dreams come true. My advice to others is trust them staff because they know what they are doing.
Dr. Check has dedicated decades to his work, and he is renown for it. He has published hundreds of research articles on fertility issues. He views you as an individual, and diligently creates a plan to evaluate and treat to resolve your fertility/hormonal problems. He truly is a gift to the profession. I was treated by a very intelligent, very reputable doctor prior at a top clinic prior to seeing Dr C. His approach was very specific and research-oriented; I was not a statistic with him. At my other clinic, I was prescribed a cookie-cutter plan that quickly pushed me towards expensive treatments offering less than optimal expected outcomes. Not with Cooper/ Dr. C. Please dont be swayed by someone commenting on personality differences; hes a kind, knowledgeable professional as are his staff. Many of them have worked alongside him and the other doctors for decades, and clock late hours (sometimes after 8, 10pm!) all because they love what they do.
I found Dr. Check and Cooper Institute after 2 failed frozen transfers at a different popular clinic who didnt really have any other answers for me...after 2 months at Cooper and 1 fresh transfer I was pregnant with my now 4 month old baby girl! I 100% recommend Cooper Institute, Dr. Check and Dr. Sobel!
Loved the scientific expertise that Dr. check is blessed with. Who cares about his staff. Top manhattan clinic gave us 5% chance of having a healthy child. Thank G-d for Dr. Check. We have the most adorable wonderful precocious daughter. I look at her and i thank G-d for leading me to the BEST!!!!!! Dr. Check may G-d grant you many healthy years to continue your outstanding work.
I havent been to this facility yet but the way the receptionist are, lets me know that I may not want to. I am interested but its very hard to get ahold of someone to get information about the embryo transfer. It is 2:00 p.m. I have been trying to get them since 11 a.m. The didnt even bother to reach out to me. Im sitting here ready financially and everything and now this. Heartbreaking. This set a precedent with me on how the facility itself is probably run.
Absolutely amazing. I was told by many other clinics that my only hope for a baby was through donor eggs. When I went here, there was no question that my eggs could be used. I became pregnant at age 43 and delivered at age 44 a healthy baby boy.
They helped me not miscarry my son! They were so encouraging and helpful throughout my pregnancy. Marie is the best phlebotomist around! I love her and Im very grateful for this place.
Very nice peopleMost people are helpful the best way they canMost employees actually were patients here and understand how it is when trying to get pregnant so they are very understanding and sensitive to the matter. They work sometimes 7 days to make sure people are on time with everything.
While Dr. Check is a kind, caring and skilled doctor. Another physician Dr. Cho, is probably the most unprofessional closed minded individual I have met. There are plenty of other skilled and successful practices, dont waste your time here.
Very disappointed with how we (my wife and I) were treated. Staff was rude and would not give us answers on honest questions. My wife was already very emotional and the employees here only made it much worse!
Jerome check is horrible!!! His front desk ladies are also horrible!!! They cant even call me back and let me know what my blood levels are... they said to call the nj office and they tell me to call PA office. I will be switching.. Jerome called me and I told him about his staff and he gave me attitude! DO NOT GO HERE!!!!
The Dr Check is a nice person and the other dr, BUTthe girls by the desk and more from the stuff. Can you be more welcoming please, it is not cost you money,
I’m sorry the clinic is closed. Today I celebrate the 12th birthday of my little girl that every other clinic told me I would never have. Thanks to Cooper IVF for giving me this little girl.
Several times less expensive than its competitors, with better results. I am so glad I came here for a second opinion.
Such a wonderful experience! Forever grateful.
Very disrespectful people even on the phone!! So nasty and desagreable!!!
Dont go here is terrible
Wonderful staff...
