I have been going to NY Medical for a long time. Their doctors are professionals, without any doubt. They are always attentive and responsible and take good care of their patients. I like the Union Square location for its convenience. I dont see any reason to change the clinic and my PCP.
Dr. Javadi is an excellent doctor. She listens to all my concerns and works towards finding solutions to keep me healthy with different approaches. Not just medications or prescriptions but other options like trying supplements and lifestyle changes. The person who took my vitals before seeing the doctor was very friendly too.The staff at the union square office location is very nice. There was no wait for my appointment and was seen immediately.I was also told my copay prior to the appointment so no surprise costs.I also love how easy it is to book an appointment with my doctor (I booked the appointment the day before).
My visit was outstanding. The doctor was incredibly helpful and exhibited a wonderful personality that made me feel comfortable throughout the appointment. Their professionalism was evident in every aspect of the care they provided. I was particularly impressed by their knowledge of progressive, cutting-edge treatments and their commitment to staying current with the latest medical advancements. I felt well cared for and confident in their expertise.
The office is beautiful and clean. The staff are friendly and professional and there was no wait time for both of my appointments. The medical assistant was an expert in drawing my blood, which is a relief! I love my new doctor, Noosheen Javadi! She is knowledgeable and caring. I like how professiaonl and thorough she was in my annual visit. I usually feel uncomfortable in doctor offices because of my weight, but I don’t feel judged by Dr. Javadi. I look forward to future visits there.
Worst doctor’s office I have ever been to. Hands down. They were clearly way overcharging for visits (I overheard everybody I was with in the waiting room had the same independent complaints all 3x I visited), running unnecessary tests that cost me MUCH more out of pocket, and if you speak to the front office staff over the phone you will realize they are incompetent. They clearly don’t have genuine care for their clients and have no interest in trying to reduce cost of care. They also always see me ~15-45 min later than my appointment time. Worth noting this is the first negative review I have ever left for any business.
Go find a different doctor. I got a referral to see a dermatologist. The referral form didn’t have an authorization number on it. So when it came time to see the dermatologist, I waited forty minutes, JUST to get in contact with someone from this office to “find out more information with the doctor.” My appointment was for 11 am, arrived at 10:50, waited until 11:50 and decided to leave because I never got a call back for this authorization number that should have been included in the first place! Any time I need to contact the office, it feels like I’m on a wild goose chase. If they had just included the authorization number in the first place, this wouldn’t have happened.
Very nice clean office, I think Dr. Goel is very professional and responsive. However, the office itself is extremely greedy. They don’t code annual visits accordingly, and there are hidden charges for virtual visits that they don’t tell you about when the doctor calls you (even just to give you lab results!). I’ve also had an extremely negative experience trying to get prescriptions refilled. Dr. Goel was very explicit when she told me to message her on the portal for refills, but the office keeps trying to get me to pay for additional visits. Extremely negative experience with the office as a whole, and won’t be returning.
This was hands down the worst experience I’ve ever had with a doctors office. After traveling over an hour to get here, we were left waiting downstairs for more than 20 minutes, buzzing repeatedly with no response. When we finally got someone on the phone, they were incredibly rude and wouldn’t let us upstairs. Instead of opening the door and sending down the elevator, they told us to take the stairs 7 flights up to the office. Save yourself the frustration—go somewhere else. I’ll never set foot in this place again. If only 0 stars were possible, that’s what I’d give.
Ive waited nearly 2 weeks for my results and then I was told I would be receiving a call and never did. I followed up to get the results and was told I would be receiving a televisit at 4PM.I followed up a little after 4PM as I did not receive any telelink and they told me that the doctor was no longer available. It was only then do they claim that the doctor will call you when they are available. Its like waiting for the internet cable guy to randomly show up at your house but you dont know when, so you have to free up your whole day and if you miss the call youre SOL.I think it is incredibly deceiving and insensitive for a patient to be told they would receive a call at 4PM to then be told they are not available. They called me 30 minutes earlier and because I missed that call, I lost my chance and the doctor left for the day. I really needed those results that have already been incredibly delayed due to their lack of communication.I still havent gotten my results. I do not recommend this place and wont come here again
PA Liz Lora is amazing. She took her time with me and explained everything in detail. Very professional and compassionate. I was very frustrated and losing hope to get the proper treatment after my PE but after just one visit with her I know I will finally get the correct care that I need and deserve. I highly recommend her and the team at NY Medical.
Clean, professional and on time! There’s nothing more I can ask for from a medical office. Everyone who worked there was so kind and helpful. Best blood test experience I’ve ever had. Thanking the universe I found this office.
Dr David Halio MD Is the absolute best . I have been going to OBGYN all my life and it has always been a painful experience until I meet Dr.David. He is so kind and patient. I have not seen him in almost a year and he remembers our conversation. Amazing man . I call him my miracle worker . The entire family loves him . He is the best .
The worst experience on the phone with Andrea today, she was setting up my appointment for more than 15 min, I didn’t understand her speech, after we finally set up the appointment, she called me while I was on my way to the Dr about my copay.Sorry, I was on the phone with her for 15 min and you can’t check in immediately! What’s ridiculous!
I had a wonderful experience with Liz Lora , PA .Ive commein twice for appointments.with her. She was pleasant, knowledgeable, and went a above and beyond. I appreciate the time she spent , didnt feel rushed. The front desk and medical assistants were all great. Office is clean and no wait time. Would highly recommend.
Dr. Jennifer Soung made my visit to NY Medical a positive experience. When I wasnt feeling well, she conducted the necessary tests and reviewed my previous reports. She also recommended additional tests to get a complete picture of my health. Dr. Soung is patient and listens attentively to all concerns, ensuring each one is addressed thoroughly. Her professional approach and dedication to patient care are commendable. I felt well taken care of and confident in her expertise.
To give this place a 1/5 would be a disservice to the lovely medical student who came and took my vitals (and was concerned about my situation), and to the front desk lady who was more helpful than the actual assistance I got during my appointment.I booked Dr. Priya Goel but was seen by her PA - which I was informed prior and was ok with - who was entirely dismissive and lacked concern.During the appointment, she took one look at my condition and said she couldn’t tell what the cause was (that’s fine) but proceeded to prescribe me steroid creams (which I specifically stated I did not want and was looking for alternatives). I’m a first-time patient and do not have any US medical records, but not once did she ask me about my medical history. I offered that information to her. When voicing my concerns about certain allergies and things I was worried it could be, she was very nonchalant and responded, “well if you want a blood test, you can order one” - which is irrelevant because I came to a doctor for a professional opinion, and not for me to give myself a WebMD diagnosis?Above all, she spent the entire time talking to me while looking down and picking at her fingernails. Upon completion of the appointment, she continued to sit down at the table as I let myself out.Paying $200 for a completely subpar service feels ridiculous and I feel bad for the people within the clinic that actually care about providing empathetic service to others.
Genuinely one of the worst medical experiences I’ve ever had. Went in for pre-op clearances for a minor surgery and was told I had an abnormal EKG and sent me a referral to a cardiologist as well as a follow up for an echo. I’m in my 30s and in great health, and I knew this was a suspicious reading, especially since they couldn’t tell me exactly what was abnormal about the reading. But. Fine. Surgery is scary enough that I followed up with cardiologist. I took the referral with me and realized when I got there, they hadn’t included the abnormal EKG, nor was it uploaded anywhere. The cardiologist was confused and did his own EKG, which read completely normal. So, he called the office to fax my abnormal EKG so he could see it with his own eyes. After it was finally faxed over, he told me it was an abnormality that usually happens when the sensors aren’t placed right and the doctor should have known that. He left me by saying, you are young and healthy and absolutely don’t need to follow up with me. So, I called the office to ask if I needed the echo, since the cardiologist had signed off on me. It took three calls but finally someone was able to confirm with the doctor that the echo follow up was unnecessary and they would cancel my appointment. I asked if they would sign off on the preop papers to send to my surgeon, and I confirmed with my surgeon that they received it. I’m honestly only writing this review because I just received a call from this medical office asking if I’d like to reschedule my echo since I missed my appointment yesterday, and have I followed up with a cardiologist to sign off on my paperwork yet. I cannot understand how a doctor’s office could be so mismanaged and have absolutely zero organization. Plus they caused me an unnecessary trip to the cardiologist that could have easily been avoided if they knew what they were doing. Truly wild from start to finish.
Let me just say Dr Jennifer Soung is AWESOME. I came into the NY Medical (USq) location a month or so ago with some scary/embarrassing/hard-to-explain symptoms. I’ve never been a big fan of hospitals and blood and medicines and all that to begin with - so undoubtedly I was a bit terrified to make the journey. But from the moment I stepped into their office, I forgot about all that. I was greeted by 2 very friendly staff who processed me seamlessly into the system (2 mins tops to check in). Then a PA (I think) took me into a room to take my height/weight/etc. (5 mins tops to do all that). Then I saw the doctor almost immediately. One of my biggest pet peeves at the doctor’s office is this feeling that I’m being rushed out (I get it - you’re busy). But not here. Dr. Soung patiently listened to my full story, briefly interjecting here and there with some important yet respectful questions to better understand all the facts (which made me feel like she’s actually listening to what I’m saying and not just doodling in her notebook). She challenged some of my fears with comforting facts. Her tone was kind and empathetic, and TOTALLY put me in a state of ease. It didn’t feel stuffy - I could share the gruesome details with her in my own words without feeling judged. She conducted herself in the utmost professional manner while still making me feel cared for - which I think is the most important quality one should look for in a physician. After all the tests and whatnots were done, I visited her again at the office for a follow-up where she explained everything to me - she didn’t make me feel small and unsophisticated for not understanding all the scientific jargon - instead she spoke to me like a human being with compassion.I’ve since seen her a few more times since then, and I just love how personalized the experience feels - she remembers everything I told her the last time - even things I forgot I mentioned. All in all - this has been a very warm experience given how scary doctors visits can be - and I would highly recommend this clinic and especially Dr. Soung to anyone looking for a great new GP…
I chose this place because it had good reviews and because it is close to my workplace. My visit was on Tuesday, May 14th. Doctor performed and ordered some tests and told me I would get the results the day after. They also told me that I would hear back from them one way or the other, the following day. I never got their phone call, and the results did not came till following week (May 22). At that point, somebody (not the doctor) called me to let me know that I have been prescribed antibiotics. I picked them up at the pharmacy: they are 2 different types of antibiotics and the label say take one / take one , so I assumed I had to take them together. After ONE WEEK, and once my antibiotic cycle is at the end, I receive another phone call that tells me I got my results back (again??) and should start taking my antibiotics, one at a time. At this point I called them to let them know that I got different instruction a week prior, that my antibiotic cycle is at the end, and that the doctor was supposed to call me but never did (note that one of the test results still has not been posted on the portal as of today). During this phone call, I asked for a call from the doctor but they never called me back. I find these delays and utter lack of communication ridiculous and also dangerous for the health of the patient; the fact that the doctor has not called me to give me explanations or clear the air is also annoying. I will never use this clinic again.[they replied that they did call me multiple times--see below--but this is a blatant lie, as I told the manager.]
Amazing doctor and very clean clinic. My appointment was exactly the time I scheduled for and everyone was welcoming and helpful. Felt very comfortable and taken care of. Will be back!
I saw Dr. Jennifer Soung, who was extremely rude. I arrived for my appointment 10 minutes early. I sat in the waiting room for a couple minutes and then the nurse took my vitals. When Dr. Soung came in she wanted to know why I arrived early. It was 10:26. My appointment was at 10:30. She was clearly annoyed. I didn’t expect to be seen early nor did I ask to be. Her comment was unnecessary. I should’ve walked out at this point. She seemed very rushed. She told me I was overweight based on the BMI chart. It’s my understanding that this is an outdated way to determine someone’s health. It is based on a white man’s body (I’m a woman), does not take into consideration that muscle weighs more than fat and does not take into consideration how your weight is distributed. I work out almost everyday and have an hour glass shape. I have more muscle than fat. Also, I was weighed with my shoes on and no weight was deducted for this. At a doctor’s appointment the week before, I was 4 pounds lighter which would put me into the acceptable weight range, according to the archaic chart. Her comment could be harmful for someone who suffers from an eating disorder or has body image issues. She needs to work on her bedside manner. I never write reviews but I hope to spare people from dealing with this doctor. Also, when I had the follow up appointment over the phone to go over my blood work results (with a different doctor), they didnt have results for my vitamin D or vitamin B level. This was something that was always included when I had blood work done for my annual physical, at other doctors offices, in the past. Not sure why it wasnt done this time.
I really don’t leave negative reviews but I had truly such an uncomfortable experience with the male nurse here. He made me feel so insecure and scared, that I considered running out without being seen. His bedside manner was inappropriate and downright disrespectful. I’ve never had such a bad experience with a medical professional. The rest of the group was totally fine, minus the fact I wasn’t seen by the provider I was supposed to see with no prior notice. I’ve been to this office before and had great experiences, but after this last time I will not be returning.
I saw Dr Kletsman today for an annual physical after avoiding doctors for 2 yrs bc I had bad experiences in the past, and this experience changed my perspective on annual check ups. I had other health complaints as well and they were addressed. thank you. Office staff were phenomenal.
Everyone in the office was very professional and attentive. There were no lines, nor did I have to wait. Dr. Kletsman is very through in his examination, and distills information in easy to understand, and actionable way. Will definitely be coming back here!
Dr Noosheen is very friendly. It was my first visit with her and I went there for annual check up. I will follow up with her once my results are back from the lab. I was the first patient and everything was per original appointment.
I’ve been here twice and had a bad experience each time. The office looks like one of those backdoor rooms - just a floor with a bunch of walls, no warmth… One of the concierge ladies is not very friendly. When I rang the doorbell and pulled the door it was still locked so I tried again. One of the concierge women said in a frustrated tone, “open!” not understanding that I wouldn’t have tried a second ring if the door was open. The other concierge lady was very kind.During my first visit, all the encounters I had were super dry, making me feel like just a number. There was no bedside manner and they left the patient room door wide open while waiting to be tended to. This feels a bit uncomfortable as doctors and patients are walking by and looking in constantly. When I went in today the doctor assisting me has a very cold tone as well. She didn’t seem to want to get to know me, blaming a lot of things on the general American diet and lifestyle, which to be fair I agree is not very healthy, but she didn’t once as me about my personal health and lifestyle habits as I am very active and nutrition focused with a background in fitness. Everything was cut and dry and dismissive.Overall I left with a bad feeling and after giving this place a second try today, thinking it might just be the specific doctors I saw, I have concluded that this place lacks empathy and passion. If you’re looking to just get a prescription, this place is fine but if you wanna be treated more like a human, maybe look for a different doctor’s office.
I was pleasantly surprised with my visit. I dont know what I expected but the Doctor was very thorough and asked many questions, which I loved. He did seem concerned and wanted to cover all my concerns. The front desk staff was ok. The gentleman at the front desk was very polite but the 2 ladies were not. Overall I had a great experience.
This review is only about the person I was with on the phone when I called the office. He fully ignored all I asked, didnt help me, and didnt want to transfer me to someone else when I asked.
Very short wait time, efficient front desk, attentive personnel, very knowledgeable and compassionate doctor Kletsman, PAs, same-day or next-day appointments. This has been my go-to medical practice for few years.
The best most caring doctor. Very smart and knows what he is talking about and most of all - two visits - a few scans and tests and a good plan of action and 4 weeks later - I am enjoying life like I did 10 years ago. Thank you and god bless
What a great medical facility! The staff was attentive, friendly and professional from the front desk, the medical technicians, and Dr. Goel herself. The wait time with very slim. Dr. Goel was very efficient, personable, and kind. She also had a pleasant bedside manner. I highly recommend!
Dr Goel is the best! Listens and is very informative, kind and has solutions. The entire front desk and nurse staff are all incredibly friendly and patient as well! Definitely a rare find of a beautiful trifecta of a team 🙏🏼
Great from start to finish! I saw Dr. Goel for an annual checkup. Every aspect of my visit was great. Dr. Goel was very kind and attentive. The check-in process was quick and smooth. The nurses and the front desk staff were extremely nice. The waiting area was filled with sunshine. Thank You Dr. Goel!
I’m normally not one for writing negative reviews but I have been truly frustrated by this experience. I specifically called to have an appointment with the neurologist. The appointment was confirmed for the midtown office, and I came from my house 1.5hrs from NYC. When I arrived, I met with the nurse practitioner, who was lovely. I told her I was here to see the neurologist, to then be informed that the neurologist doesn’t work Fridays I. That office. This was disappointing after I specifically requested this specialist. this was not only disappointing to me, but to the nurse practitioner I met with. The nurse practitioner then ordered standard tests for me to obtain for a follow up visit more to my local area. I called to schedule a local appointment by my house, but it required an authorization number from my insurance company. I called this office and was told I needed to speak with the manager, Anastasia. I asked to be transferred (after I had to call 5 times for someone to generally pick up). I received a generic voicemail box. I left a voicemail and eventually received a call back from someone named Christina. I explained the situation to her, to which she told me, I had to have the tests done at Lennox Hill. I told her this was false as I already contacted my insurance company, and instead of transferring me Anastasia as requested, her attitude became more of a confrontational nature and turned to more of a “whatever” type tone of voice. I called the office later on in the day and spoke with someone who stated that Anastasia’s line was busy and that I would receive a call back. This never happened. I’ve now been forced to go to another Neurologist and have them actually request the proper tests. Long, long story, but in the end if you’re looking for prompt or knowledgeable support staff. I recommend looking elsewhere if you’re not in a rush, the nurse practitioner was great.
So far it’s my favourite place to go for a check up or to do some routine blood tests. Staff is helpful and professional. Doctors are always able to answer any of my questions and I never wait to be seeing longer than 10 min
Very clean and efficient office. All the staff I encountered or interacted with was very respectful, kind, and professional. The wait time is very reasonable, very easy to check-in and Dr. Priya Goel was very attentive and helpful. 10/10 absolutely recommend!
Dr. Arina Zudenko is the best! She is so knowledgeable, compassionate and always takes great care of her patients.
Super efficient and thoughtful practice. I arrived early and they were able to take me in earlier than my appointment. Doctor and nurses made sure to explain everything to me and made sure I didn’t leave with any questions.
I am very frustrated with this experience. The white woman at the front desk is ill-prepared to deal with people, let alone people looking for solutions to their health issues. The office confused the reason for my appointment, they have a policy of not prescribing medications you might need, and the referrals they give you are not even specialists in the area you need.I am currently pregnant and I was looking for a consultation. Instead, all I got was a corporate attitude of your problem is not ours. DO NOT visit this place, especially if you are in a vulnerable stage of your life and need assistance with that.
Dr. Goel is very kind and knows what she is talking about. However, the way the office is set up is more concierge style and they will charge you to prescribe certain medications or for specific lab tests. Overall though nice office and kind workers.UPDATE TO RESPONSE FROM OWNER:They state that they do not have additional charges but I was told that any labs in addition to regular blood work such as vitamin levels would not be covered under insurance and would have additional charges, even if you are having complaints of symptoms of a vitamin deficiency. In addition, they charge 475$ if you are on ozempic or mounjaro for any prescription, even if you have been on this medication for almost a year by a previous physician for a medical condition and it is covered by your insurance, they will not prescribe it to you and will make you pay an obscene amount of money out of pocket to get a prescription that should be available by a primary care physician.
I will never go back here. I had had a positive experience with Arina the PA in the past but booked a telehealth appointment on Saturday because that’s all they had. I was told I’d get a text with a link a few minutes before my appointment. As of 2:15, I’d still heard nothing. I called twice in the meantime and paid my copay. When I voiced my frustrations in being at work and busy and having to sit and wait, they said that’s normal. I then described my symptoms and was prescribed a medicine that made me sicker. Upon telling them this, she said she would send me the medicine (the one I had requested at the time of our appointment). I gave them a pharmacy and they called it into the ring pharmacy and wouldn’t answer their phones.
Booked with one medical professional but was seen by another (believe this was through zocdoc, which I think Ny Medical is no longer on, or plans to leave?), which was a little disorienting, was recommended specialists that didnt seem necessary and were in fact deemed unnecessary when I got a second opinion, got a pretty large, surprise bill months later for bloodwork that was not covered-- I thought it was a routine draw as part of a physical but it was apparently labeled as diagnostic and not preventative and so wasnt covered by insurance. For these reasons I have to give NY Medical a low rating and a cautionary review. I appreciate that the part about the bill sits at the intersection of the provider, the lab, and my insurance. I appreciate this might not be NY Medicals fault, but I asked if the blood work would cost anything was told it should not, except maybe for a vitamin b12 level test which may not be covered. Anyway, this system has got to change; until then its just not worth the financial risk to try to take care of your health to end up with a huge bill and your doctor, insurance, and lab all saying not it, not me, thats a you problem
Very fast & efficient, but very good listeners.
Staff was welcoming and thorough. Anastasia and Lora ensured I received the screenings I needed and, importantly, which were not / potentially costly (i.e., expensive and not covered by insurance). Will revisit for primary care in the future.
Dr Kletsman is very thorough and personable with his patients. The staff is efficient and caring too. I am so relieved to finally have a good primary care.
Went there a couple of times for a check-up. Since then I get mass text messages from them advertising prescription weight loss drugs to all of their patients, like some sort of street drug dealers. I dont know what kind of compensation that get for pumping these drugs, but surely this isnt what a medical clinic should be doing with their license. Greed & malpractice.
We went there to test for Covid, and the next thing we know they “ordered” 7 lab tests for “upper respiratory” and charged us more than $1k after insurance. We still don’t know what labs they performed without our acknowledgment, since they didn’t notify us about any results besides the Covid test.Plus, there is a $200 upfront charge for each office visit and they will claim it again through insurance.
They dont care like at all. But they do their job.
It’s always a wonderful experience visiting Dr. David and his staff. I am always greeted immediately and the place is nice clean.
Am very happy with NY Medical and care Dr Kletsman shows for his patients and hes very knowledgeable
The staff was friendly and the visit was very efficient!
Nice and friendly staff. Very clean rooms. Dr Lora is very nice and caring.
