The Life Center is an amazing resource for the community. I learned about it from my wife who volunteers there and raves about all the work they do. Their food pantry is always well stocked and I never feel judged when I go in there or take a friend there for the first time. I see them out in the community with their mobile clinic, set up to do STI testing and offer other valuable health resources to the community. I have also heard that they have great support groups for people who are in the LGBTQIA+ community.
I went to the RISE retreat and it was very informative and fun. I met a-lot of very cool and supportive people. I’d love to get more involved in my community. 💕
The good people at the LGBT Life Center helped me end my stint of homelessness by finding me a room to rent back in 2020. Since then they have not been responsive to any calls, voicemails or emails that I have sent in regards to finding more permanent housing. Now that Ive had a perfect rental history for the past 3 years and have a firm grasp on my mental health its kinda disappointing that they arent available to assist me in progressing into a better housing situation.
People are really there to help. Very caring and understanding
I set an appointment My insurance was used in reference to services they satiated I can receive… had testing done 2 weeks later I’ve contacted them a total of six times still cannot get my results back. I’ve also left several messages. I was told that they were very short staffed or they were in training. It is nothing nobody can do …check LabCorp like they stated also and they do not have the information they stated they would. It’s been weeks and now it’s to the point they don’t even answer my calls and have yet to return and voice message left to the many for results and information…so will be calling my insurance to make sure nothing was billed. Beware.
Ive called this place a few times they dont return calls and never can help. Im very disappointed. My opinion is if your not going to return calls or try to help people then close it
