After extensive research for a fertility doctor, I am so happy I chose Dr. Wilcox. After two successful egg retrievals with Dr. Wilcox, I have 25 eggs now. Dr. Wilcox is up front and honest. He makes you feel comfortable and has good bedside manner too. Dr. Wilcox is THE best at what he does. I wouldnt trust anyone else more!
From our very first interaction to the completion of the procedure, our experience with HRC Fertility-Dr. Wilcox and his team was absolutely top notch. Dr. Wilcox is simply the best fertility doctor in Los Angeles and we couldnt have been more pleased with the services provided. Dr. Wilcox and his team are very compassionate and skilled. The entire team is knowledgeable and they were always available to assist us (after hours, nights, weekends) when we needed help. Rachel, Nanette and Cynthia are wonderful and we couldnt be happier with the level of care, concern, compassion, attention that they gave us during this wonderful journey.
Every day I look at my active, joyful and curious toddler in awe of the simple fact that the only reason she exists is because of Dr. Wilcox. Two and a half years ago, my husband and I entered Dr. Wilcoxs office seeking guidance for infertility. Our friends had recommended him, having successfully conceived through IVF with his help. We hoped to avoid this route, but it soon became clear it was our best chance to have a child.Six months later, after the ups and downs inherent in the IVF process, I was pregnant with my daughter. The transition from IVF to a regular OBGYN at 10 weeks was bittersweet. My husband and I had formed a deep connection with Dr. Wilcox and his warm, caring, and responsive staff, including Nanette, Cynthia, Rachel, Tiffany, and others.Dr. Wilcox is honest, supportive, and realistic. Hes rooted in statistics, not empty promises, and measures his success by the number of babies born, not his financial gain. I believe this 100% because there was a point where his advice, although against his financial interest, was the best choice for me as a patient. I appreciate his straightforward, scientifically-based approach, along with his willingness to support and celebrate your pregnancy and becoming a parent.Even when my family moved over an hour away from Dr. Wilcox before my second embryo transfer (which resulted in my current, near-graduation pregnancy), I couldnt imagine going anywhere else. Dr. Wilcox is the primary reason, and lets not forget his wonderful coordinator, Nanette. Shes, without exaggeration, the kindest, most supportive, and incredibly patient person Ive ever met. Many times, I sent her panicked, random questions, and she responded calmly and promptly with reassurance or medical advice. I feel like I won a lottery with her and every single person on Dr. Wilcoxs staff.Look, IVF is challenging and infertility is an exhausting ordeal. But once you make it to the other side, you cant imagine being a parent to any child but the one you have. Its impossible not to feel gratitude for science and the scientist who brought your true miracle to life.Dr. Wilcox, we are eternally grateful to you. Thank you for making our dreams come true.
You will simply not find a more thorough, knowledgeable, and professional fertility doctor than John Wilcox. After interviewing many (many) Los Angeles fertility doctors before making our choice, it became clear that there was simply no comparison between Dr. Wilcox and the others. He knows (and loves) his work like no one else we met. There was no study I could cite (no matter how obscure), no question I could ask that he did not know and understand beyond the scope of all the other doctors I interviewed. His patience (especially with a person who would cite studies and interview many doctors) was endless. He is downright exceptional.
It’s unfortunate and emotionally draining that women have to experience the plaque of infertility and when your OBGYN Lisa William.. recommends a decent doctor you rush to it. This Dr. Wilcox’ office called me back to schedule an appointment because the previous Dr POTTER in his SAME MEDICAL HRC group has no bedside manner and forgets your name after completing IVF, it’s disheartening that his fellow Colleague Wilcox won’t accept your appointment but will refer you to someone else in the same medical group. If Wilcox wasn’t referred to me I would have never called another male doctor to look into these issues. His scheduler Sandra created my appointment, bless her heart she was trying to fit me in and when she got me an appointment we both were happy. She calls me back about 3 minutes later and states I can’t see Wilcox because I was seen by his horrible colleague Potter, but I can be referred to another colleague to have a visit. WHO DOES THAT!! Oh you don’t want to fix your colleagues mistakes , I get it!I share this to inform the women that experience fertility issues to do your research with these male doctors that have no clue on the emotional stress and pain we encounter. Just breaks my heart!!
To Whom ever is looking for a fertility Doctor,I am referring the most special person Dr. John Wilcox!!! He is so compassionate, warm, understanding and caring doctor I have ever met!!! He is not in a rush, he takes time with you in all visits, he answers all your questions with compassion and care. He genuinely wants to help you have a baby and will take you step by step into a very complex time of your life. Dr. Wilcox explains each step of the way, so you are never left in the dark and you know you are held and taken care of emotionally and with respect. His whole staff is caring and guides you also through the process... What I love about Dr. Wilcox is that he is there in every visit I had and did all the ultra sounds and every proceeder needed. Being a single professional woman my mother helping me asked me too look around first and what I found was horrifying and cold. I went to Beverly Hills to a predominate doctor there and was so unpleased it felt like a meat market! This doctor didnt visit me, didnt hear me or let me ask of my questions... pretty much he said it was a hard case and he was off to another patient. The nurses there did all the proceeders and I was more than disappointed.Gladly I was refereed by a friend of a friend to Dr. Wilcox which was financially less expensive and has a 93.7% pregnancy rate. I am so pleased with the whole process... having hormones up to my eyeballs with medications to having him on the phone with me when things didnt feel right or I didnt feel well... (yes Dr. Wilcox gave me his personal cell phone number), which at times I need to use and he was polite, concerned and helped through it all.I am now blessed to be 3 months pregnant with twins. I was treated so nicely that when I went to my first OBGYN at Kaiser it was a shock how differently I was treated... If I had to do it all over again and have more children (down the road) the faith, trustworthiness and honesty I was given by Dr. Wilcox there will be ONLY him I would intrust my body and soul to.Thank you Doc, you are the best and I hope I relayed this message well. I was a hard patient with my own complications and with your help I know have twins on the way making me to be a Mommy of amazing souls in the world!ALL BECAUSE OF YOU Thanks Doc
What can I tell you other than this man is a miracle worker!!!My husband and I took almost 2 years visiting invetro clinics and different doctors but we KNEW Dr. Wilcox was our man upon meeting him at HRC. Hes a straight shooter, doesnt fluff things and tells you exactly how it is. Being in production, my husband and I truly appreciated the directness and honesty. His staff was fantastic, with meticulous attention to detail. We are now pregnant with twins : )For anyone either looking to begin this process or coming from another clinic feeling disenchanted by their outcome...I highly recommend Dr Wilcox! Hes your guy. Period.
Good doctor but speaks so low that I could hardly hear him.I took off one star for the incomplete information they provided on the no. of embryos they recommend to transfer depending on whether we opt for pre-genetic screening. We thought the doctor would recommend transferring one embryo irrespective of whether we do pre-genetic screening or not but that was not the case. We didnt do the screening and then the doctor said he recommends transferring two embryos because we didnt do the screening. Had we known this before, we would have done the screening and selected a boy and a girl embryo. But it was too late then and now I am carrying two boys. For the amount of money we spent for IVF, we expect this and all other information to be shared clearly.
Dr Wilcox is hands down one of the best doctors out there. I did my research and I found him I ask around to other doctors and they all said go with Wilcox. Im am greatful and very thankful I went with Dr Wilcox.
