Dr Zyczynski is a wonderful surgeon. She is intelligent, beyond compassionate & a highly skilled professional. My surgery was very successful & gave my life back to me .
This MD is one of the worst physicians around. WARNING: Please read my experience with this MD, & heed my warning to NOT VISIT THIS MD!!! 1st & foremost, I work in the medical industry & hold many physicians in high regard, but this is a first for me that the office is only offering one solution & being unresponsive with our requests for medical records & clinical notes.Halina M. Zyczynski, MD, operated on my mother over 20 years regarding bladder surgery to assist my mother regarding her bladder & hysterctomy, at the same time. My mother nearly died after the surgery in the hospital, and was in excruciating pain, & currently is in excruciating pain still from time to time. Now, this MD has stated that the only thing she can do is offer botox, JUST an FYI: Botox is a drug made from a toxin produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. Its the same toxin that causes a life-threatening type of food poisoning called botulism.- reference WebMDSo appears this MD is only resorting to botox injections, and no other options were ever presented to my mother. Now she lives in pain, and shame of leaving the house due to her overactive bladder and incontinence. I would highly recommend seeking out any other physician regarding anything related to womens urology. Lastly, when seeking to obtain my mothers patient chart and clinical notes, this office has been nothing but unresponsive to our requests, both the hospital & physicians office. So there is my WARNING regarding this office. Make your own decision, but when anyone suggests injecting a toxin into a loved-one, where there are severe side effects of the following, then I would run the other way:Problems swallowing, speaking, or breathing, due to weakening of associated muscles, can be severe and result in loss of life. You are at the highest risk if these problems are pre-existing before injection. Swallowing problems may last for several monthsSpread of toxin effects. The effect of botulinum toxin may affect areas away from the injection site and cause serious symptoms including: loss of strength and all-over muscle weakness, double vision, blurred vision and drooping eyelids, hoarseness or change or loss of voice (dysphonia), trouble saying words clearly (dysarthria), loss of bladder control, trouble breathing, trouble swallowing.
