The best choice I ever made was to make an appointment with Dr. Patton. Dr. Patton was the first Dr. to finally tell me what was really going on with my pelvic floor. I had been to several gynecologist and colon specialist and everyone told me that what I was experiencing was normal. This went on for years, until I met Dr. Patton. Not only was Dr. Patton funny and easy to talk to, within seconds he described exactly what I had been experiencing and he assured me that he can solve my issues. I am forever thankful for meeting him and having him take care of my issues. He is an amazing surgeon and made the most uncomfortable and embarrassing situation into something normal. I have already recommended him to my friends and family because I am confident that he is the one person who will not only be straightforward and honest, but will have solutions. He is the best!
If I could I would give no starsUnfortunately, my experience with Dr. Patton was disappointing. I visited him recently for severe perimenopausal abnormal bleeding and intense pain. From the beginning, Dr. Patton’s bedside manner was lacking. He barely made eye contact and seemed more focused on his computer than addressing my concerns. His approach was dismissive, and his comments were both unprofessional and troubling. Instead of offering a compassionate explanation or exploring my symptoms in detail, he suggested drastic measures like “burn your insides” uterine ablation or starting a new pill without adequately explaining their implications. Dr. Patton’s lack of communication and disregard for my concerns left me feeling invalidated and ignored. Unlike Dr. Goldberg, who was always attentive and thorough, Dr. Patton’s manner was unprofessional and disappointing. If you value clear communication and empathetic care, I advise seeking a different provider.
Dr. Patton should not be practicing women’s medicine. His views are antiquated, his approach is horrific, and he deliberately caused me physical pain as well as emotional discomfort. He dismissed my concerns about night sweats as a 39-year-old woman as merely the “bitchiness” (his words) that comes with PMS. After I shared my experience on Facebook, multiple other women told me about their own horrific experiences with him. I will never go back there and I would not recommend him to anyone.
Dr. Patton is more than just a gynecologist; He is a beacon of compassion, understanding, and expertise in his field. As a lesbian woman, finding a healthcare provider who made me feel comfortable was a daunting task. From the moment I stepped into his office, I was greeted with warmth and acceptance. Dr. Patton took the time to listen to my concerns. His genuine interest in my well-being instantly put me at ease, allowing me to discuss intimate topics with confidence and comfort. What truly setsDr. Patton apart is his unwavering commitment to providing inclusive and comprehensive care. Dr. Patton goes above and beyond to ensure his patients feel heard, respected, and empowered to make informed decisions about their health. His genuine concern for his patients well-being extends far beyond the exam room, creating a sense of trust and security that is truly unparalleled. Thanks to Dr. Patton, I no longer dread visits to the gynecologist. Instead, I feel grateful to have found a healthcare provider who understands my needs. Dr. Patton has not only changed my life but has also set a standard of excellence that all healthcare providers should strive to emulate. I cannot recommend him highly enough to anyone seeking compassionate, inclusive, and life-changing gynecological care. Not to mention he has fantastic taste in music.
I have been seeing Dr. Patton for over 10 years. He has been prescribing my bio, identical, hormones for the entire time I have been seeing him. Dr. Patton always has listened to my concerns, makes decisions based on evidence based practice, and I have always felt confident with decisions he makes while I’m under his care. Additionally, we usually have enjoyable conversations during my appointment time with him. I highly recommend Dr. Patton, he’s smart, progressive, and cares about his patients.
Great Dr..Surgeon For Me! And very great staff! Helped me through a lot thru the yrs..thank you
Great staff, very kind, respectful and wonderful.Dr. Patton is a great professional, very knowledgeable and has been taking care of me and my health. Always straight to the point.I really appreciate his professionalism and his staff.
I cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Patton. The world needs more doctors like him. He’s patient, kind, straight to the point, no nonsense. I have never felt rushed or uncomfortable with him and I never leave with any unanswered questions. We went to establish care in December and ended up on a completely different road. He’s damn good at his job and truly, truly knows and cares about his patients. He’s smart, honest, straight forward and doesn’t sugar coat anything, which I love and appreciate.I could not recommend him more.(sidenote all of his office staff is also amazing)
I’ve been a patient of Dr. Patton for 20 years. I recommend him to my friends, family and colleagues. He is thorough in his approach, and communicates honestly and direct. He will never sugar coat anything or tell you something just to make you feel better. He will hold you accountable and be supportive. I have been 100% satisfied with all of my interactions with him over the years and I have been through a lot.
Dr. Patton has incredible bed side manner and clearly loves what he does. I was under his care for my entire pregnancy and he eased my anxieties, giving me straight forward reliable information that I could trust. He took quick action during my labor to ensure my babys safe delivery. I cannot recommend this doctor enough.
This doctor is amazing, very thorough. He always takes the time with his patients and explains things and answers any and all questions. He delivered my children and provided care for me through 3 pregnancies and postpartum and performed another ovarian surgery as well. He cares deeply about his patients and provides the very best care possible. I have recommend him to many friends and family all of which who have received the very best care as well. Thanks doctor Patton for always taking the time with your patients and caring about us so deeply and providing above and beyond care.
This doctor is unique and very special. I havent seen him since menopause (due ONLY to insurance issues) but he had been my OBGYN for years prior. Im post menopausal now, with different issues and I have an apt with him later this month. I cannot wait! This man knows what we women experience as we get in on in years. He obviously cares greatly and simply put, wants to improve the lives of women. And that, he does! HRT is detailed and specialized. Dr. Patton is slammin smart, and is leagues more knowledgeable than any other doctor in this field. Im 63 years old, and this is my experience. In fact, my best friend drives to Port Jefferson from Westchester to see him. Dr. Patton is THAT extroadinary. I could use so many more accolades to describe my wellness when in his care, but I think you get the point! (And, Joan and staff are incredible ladies too. Youll hang up the phone with a smile on your face. Promise!) If you wanna feel great and look great, the buck stops here.
Dr. Patton took great care of me. He even performed my surgery which went great. I feel so much better now. I definitely recommend him. As someone who has suffered with chronic pain most of my life he definitely took a look at my symptoms and helped me. His staff recently has been nothing but helpful. If you are looking for a DR. who really cares about his work see him. If you are looking to chit chat and shoot the breeze he isnt that type of Dr.
Dr Patton is a great Obgyn dr. Prior to having Dr. Patton i had a full hysterectomy at age 26 for years i never felt myself Then i had a appointment with jDr Patton pescribed me Bio indentical hormone replacement and i feel great again Dr Patton also did my bladder lift and he also operated on my 20 year old daughter to help control her PCOS symptoms because my daughter has a medical condition im which she cant take birth control. He is a great doctor and surgeon.
Dr. Patton is a Doctor who listens. My mother is a patient, she needs a lot of help, and Dr. Patton provides that help. Our experience with Dr. Patton has been excellent for years. I heard about the high level of care he provides from someone else, which is why I took my mother to see him. I honestly dont know of another Dr. in his field who provides better all encompassing care for women anywhere.
Excellent doctor, very knowledgeable, personable, great practice. My wife always feels at-ease walking in. Very clean office. They helped us fight the insurance companies to cover our procedures and appointments.
The entire experience was very pleasant and helpful from the receptionists, doctors assistant, and Dr Paton. Dr Paton is an excellent doctor!! Always on schedule, gives you plenty of time to speak and listen to you. Has a positive attitude, professionally experienced, and knowledgeable. Keeps you updated with lab, test results, and appointments. He explained and went over everything with his use of technology, to facilitate my procedure. I didnt have a great experience else where, I feel blessed to have him as my doctor, and would highly recommend him with no reservation.
I love Dr.Patton and everyone in his Port Jefferson office. He is the best OBGYN and has a really pleasant, courteous, and helpful office staff. My 2 children were both delivered by Dr. Patton. I’ve been a patient of Dr. Patton since 2006. His nurse practitioners, sonogram technician, and office staff are wonderful.
I love Dr Patton. I find him to be really caring and straightforward. I went to him when I aas pregnant with my second child as a second opinion because stonybrook obgyn was giving me off vibes about what was going on with my second child. Dr.Patton than looked at my sonos thoroughly and it he found that my son jad Down syndrome. He made sure I was ok with that and knew all the challenges etc. he was great with my delivery and he still is he is such a great surgeon and dr. He still cares for my kids. I have such a great experience every time i go into his office his staff are so friendly and amazing. I wont ever change my drs. No need to. At every appointment he askes about all 3 of my kids. And how they are doing. I give Dr Patton 5 stars. He is not for everyone. If your looking for. Dr to sugar coat things hes not the dr for you. But while I was getting my epidural for my csection I had a severe asthma and panic attack and he took very good care of me I even say he went into “dad” mode And was very concerned for my health. And he still follows up with me. Great guy.
Terrible experience. He spent the first 40min of my appt trying to get me to agree to having surgery to pop the cysts on my ovaries. After I refused multiple times he said “Do you want to get even fatter?” “You can eat carbs without gaining more weight” implying I already fat (I am not. I workout daily and weigh 130 pounds). I told him I have normal periods after having my 2 girls and that my hormones were just checked and all are normal. But he kept pushing surgery. I’m 39 years old. It was unnecessary. It was a money grab and he insulted me in the process. Also, he did the exam with no one else in the room. It was my understanding a female has to be present when it’s a male Dr. Will never go back and will be warning others of this place.PS I have no idea why my husband name is under this review but it’s obviously his wife
Dr. Patton has a wonderful personal yet professional approach to his work with me. I feel that I have not met another doctor who has as much knowledge and experience with HRT. I am a new woman under his care,
Dr Patton is excellent MD, all I can say that he is a great doctor, i am bless to have him as my doctor. he did a great job on me.
Dr. Patton preformed at labiaplasty on me back in February of 2021. He made sure that everything leading up to the surgery went as planned. After i woke up, i had little to no pain. I was able to go skiing 3 weeks post op. He has changed my quality of life for the better and there is no other doctor i would recommend but him.
Dr. Dreux Patton is a monster. The way this man insists on surgeries and medications is giving major kickback vibes but thats my opinion. If you’re looking for an OB/GYN to be kind and gentle then look elsewhere. One visit with him and I felt like I was annoying him...bothering him...interrupting his golf time. I was in the midst of miscarrying and she said its not a big deal, my wife has had 6 miscarriages. At the time I was in my early 30s and he was treating and speaking to me as if I was a pregnant teen. He then said to me lets schedule a D&C bc I dont want to get a call at 3am that youre bleeding. This man is joke! I have 0 faith and trust in his ethics, morals or character.
Very good doctor!! He listens and works with you to meet your needs !! He offers the best hormone replacement for menopause ! No more hot flashes ladies!! So when your looking for a doctor to keep your hormones in balance keep Dr.Patton in mind he can help you feel your best!
Such a great practice. Dr. Patton and his entire team are very knowledgeable, kind and accomodating. So glad I switched from a larger practice. You can tell everyone here really cares about what they do.
25 years I see Dr. Patton. We have been thru multiple situations and I would not want to be in anyone elses hands. Please never retire...🥰
I absolutely love Dr Patton he delivered my first baby 10 years ago and my current baby this year in 2023 I couldnt imagine going to anyone else he gave me comfort and reassurance that I needed which really helps with my anxiety I want all my babies to be delivered by Dr Patton and will recommend him to anyone I hope to be going back to him in the near future for my last baby
I am so glad that I went to this doctor because he was very thorough listening to me and updating incorrect information in my file.
Dr. Patton is pompous and arrogant. He has no sympathy for women and has no right being a women’s dr. Left in tears.
Dr. Patton is a wonderful DOCTOR. He is straight forward and does the best surgery if needed. Highly recommended.
No bedside manner whatsoever. Extremely condescending. Didn’t help me with the issue I came in for. Required a sonogram before my first appointment and then didn’t even look at the report. I spent over an hour waiting to be treated this poorly.Office staff was lovely, though.
Was very informative loved that he talked to me once a month on my hormone cream treatment. Office very pleasant as well I found Dr Patton pleasant as well recommended family members to him as well.
Used to go to Dr.Goldberg in the same office and once he retired I was meeting with Dreux Patton.. First encounter was horrible and that was the last time I stepped a foot in the office. If you are looking for a doctor that actually wants to treat you and give you advice, HE IS NOT THE ONE. ID GIVE HIM ZERO STARS!
These people violated my HIPPA rights, I’m going to report them. No privacy when disgusting medical or financial information. The office manager is loud and obnoxious. No follow up care, thank God for my Endocrinologist, if it was up to these animals, my diagnosis would never have come to light and I may have died. What a waste of time money effort.
Worst doctor ever, the N.P are amazing but the provide has no care for his patients and I am now experiencing a nightmare with my babies diagnoses but am very greatful that I choose to leave when I did because we in time to get my babies the surgent it needs since no on e in suffolk does the procedure I am traveling to Manhatten thanks to dr.hunt at stonybrook obgyn and dr.demishev who truly cared about me and my baby, remember to always trust your gut, you as a parent know was best for your children.
Short wait time, great attention
So surprised by the negative reviews, I think he is a good Doctor, doesnt waste time and gets to the point. The office staff are very professional and polite
Does not know how to speak to patients. Very condescending, which is upsetting and disappointing considering the profession he is in.
Eh. I think I will be looking for a new obgyn. I thought I would get at least one follow up phone call within a year after being diagnosed with breast cancer, double mastectomy, chemo and radiation. Not sure if I was expecting too much.
My experience was great, and I felt comfortable, excellent service was provided.
If you are looking for a rude, condescending doctor who will call you once a month in the guise of monitoring your hormones and then keep charging you a fortune - Dreux is your man!
Dr. Patton and staff are always polite, professional, and caring.
The staff were all fantastic. Highly recommended!
Very detail with everything i was going through. Even gave me an appointment on his non office day.
No follow up, no care for people. Scary these people are allowed to practice.
Love Dr. Patton!
Always a good experience
He is so caring.
Awesome surgeon.
Best OB you can get. He was the only person I trusted with not only my life, my two unborn childrens lives.
