Wait times here at this P.P. C.W. location are unreasonable and I spent an hour here just waiting. Not only that but they didn’t bother to check-in and let me know how much of a wait to expect for what otherwise should’ve been a very straightforward appointment. Poor customer service- Poor patient care level. Complete lack of consideration for other’s time.Only thing they did during that time I was there? —just reconfirming things that were already answered with my *E-check In* I completed day before my appointment and taking my Bp and temperature. Come on you guys. You can do better than this.
Both staff members I saw today were very helpful the male nurse who checked me in(can’t remember his name) and then the female doctor were both and compassionate and efficient . Best experience I’ve had at a planned parenthood, would recommend going here over other locations.
I’ve been trying to get a vasectomy for a year now, each time I make an appointment something goes wrong. The first time they straight up told me no cause they felt I should wait. Second time they said my BRAND NEW insurance expired and later found out it was never fully active, even though a month before they said it was, they told me it wasn’t active an hour before my surgery and then cancelled. Then I had another appointment tomorrow and they said my consent form has expired, I asked if I could just sign a new one and get my surgery, they said it didn’t matter because they were no doctors available anyway. Now I also have to redo the entire process. They DO NOT care about your reproductive health here, go to a different location. This is not the one.
To start off, I was so nervous for my appointment yesterday. I even had to take an anxiety pill prior.. I have never had a papsmear before, due to many previous traumas, so I put it off for many years. But I knew I had to get it done at some point. My doctor was Dr. Lena and she was INCREDIBLE. In all honesty, she is the best doctor I’ve ever had in general and I’ve had many doctors in my life. I wish she could be my PCP! My nurse was also so sweet, but I unfortunately can’t remember her name, but she was so kind and once again, she was the best nurse I’ve ever had in general too. Both were so empathetic, compassionate, and very reassuring.Dr. Lena was very understanding of my situation and why I was so nervous. She guided me through the entire thing and made sure I was okay and comfortable. She was extremely gentle and accommodating and to be honest, I did not feel any pain. It was so quick. I didn’t feel traumatized after my visit at all. It took a lot of courage for me to do this and the nurse even told me she was proud of me. I could not have asked for a better doctor and nurse. I am so glad I was scheduled with these two amazing women. And to add - Dr. Lena is also the ONLY doctor (out of countless doctors over the years) who has told me I should be on POP’s due to my migraines with auras, because the stroke risk is higher. No other doctor, including my neurologist, has told me this and I have been on a combo BC for 9 years. The reviews made me nervous, but my experience was incredible. Highly recommend Dr. Lena and my nurse!! If anyone could remind me of the nurses name, that would be great! As I plan to see them both again in the future. Thank you so much for being such amazing people. ♥️
I had a telehealth visit on the morning of 2/1 to get guidance on how I should proceed based on my symptoms. The provider recommended I schedule an in-person appointment to be certain. She transferred me to a receptionist who proceeded to schedule me for an in-person appointment later that same day.I arrived at my appointment at East Portland Health Center and was checked in with no problems. I paid the copay prior. I waited about 35 minutes before being walked into the exam room. The nurse asked me about why I was visiting and asked if I wanted a screening or if I wanted testing. I explained that I was not sure and explained that the provider I had seen that morning had suggested testing. She proceeded to take notes and recommended a screening instead. She then left and told me that the doctor would be in soon.I waited another 1.5 HOURS before the manager came in to tell me that they could not see me because Planned Parenthood does not allow multiple visits in one day. She continued to ask me if I had told the receptionist or the nurse that I had a telehealth appointment prior. I had done so both times and Im frustrated that it was even possible to schedule this appointment if that rule exists. And even if I had not, how is it my responsibility to ensure they are doing their due diligence to check my visit history? I had to take time off of work for this appointment and was not refunded for my copay. It was also frustrating that the manager was not apologetic and was insinuating it was my fault during our conversation.Such a huge waste of my time and money when the staff had multiple opportunities to address this with me within the 2 hours I was waiting to be seen. Really frustrating as well considering I have to go to another appointment and sit through this whole process again.
Had a truly terrible experience at this clinic. The bottom line is that they don’t care about your time or your well-being. If you find a lump on your breast as I did, and you’re financially strapped—please do me a favor and lie to them. Tell them you want an annual and just let them address it in the breast check. If you schedule an annual (because you need one!!!) but tell them you found a lump you’d like to be checked (AKA being honest), they will turn you away or charge you a ridiculous amount that doesn’t work with the health access plan they offer. To make it all worse, not a single employee was compassionate. Not one person said “I’m sorry you’re experiencing this” or anything to that affect. It was “pay full price or get no services”. So I got no services and now can’t have a lump checked out. I used to really care about PP—because I thought they helped so many people, especially those experiencing severe difficulties—and my votes reflected that…they won’t any longer.
I cannot recommend this location, enough. From the intake professionals, to the wonderful doctor/ medical staff and even checking out, the experience was seamless. The facility was secure and spotless. The care I received was thoughtful, thorough, personal and respectful.Good job to everyone at this PP! You all put my mind at ease, and I very much appreciate all your help.
I had a very stressful and somewhat unique problem and every single provider, assistant, and receptionist was helpful and friendly. The providers followed up with me, were informational, and even went so far as to satisfy my random curiosities about the processes I was undergoing. There were great about keeping me informed with my follow-up calls. As for the clinic and environment itself, it was clean and tidy and had beautiful, well kept and healthy plants in the waiting room and in exam rooms. While a small detail, its one I appreciate, as plants bring a calmness to many people, especially when its a place you may not always be visiting under the best of circumstances!
My appointment was in a different day. They still let me get checked. The receptionist was very professional and nice , medical assistant was also very nice and helpful. But what I love the most was the doctor Caitlin. She was so amazing very friendly and answered all my questions. This is the best planned parenthood I ever been to.
I was told by staff here that they couldnt get my birth control, pregnancy test, and std testing done all in one appointment due to my health insurance. I remain to be on the same insurance, went to a different location and they did all of it in one appointment. Dont go here, go to the other planned parenthoods.
They were very dismissive of my concerns and did not make me feel comfortable at all. The doctor also gave me attitude when I wasnt satisfied with her telling me she didnt know what was wrong but it didnt seem like something to worry about.
Love the providers and the work they do but, they reallyyyy gotta work on time management. I’ve been twice now to this clinic and the wait times are insaneee! 3 hours for a birth control appointment that’s way to long. Maybe book like half the appointments and then you guys would be solid and on time.
I had a very pleasant experience here. Dr. Benitez is fantastic and all the staff as well. Thank you and definitely recommend!
Had a great visit for my IUD removal. Staff was kind, considerate, and informative. Always appreciate Planned Parenthood and their services.
I had an extremely cold experience speaking with a women in their office this morning. My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant and I believe I may have been having a miscarriage. I have never had one and was under a ton of stress and needed guidance on what to do or where I needed to go. I called as soon as they opened. The woman on the phone seemed like she didnt care and told me they were booked a couple weeks out. She offered me zero guidance and this experience honestly caused me to lose faith in PPH. I have always had good experiences with them but the last few years I have had experiences like this. I dont believe I will be going to any PPH anymore. Sad
I really appreciate the care and treatment that I received here. Very quick and on time. I 100% recommend this Planned Parenthood location to anyone getting Birth Control Procedures or STI Testing.
I was told I needed to pay $1200 to renew my birth control because they dont accept my secondary insurance. I make $700 a month and drove 3 hours to get here. The woman who informed me was cold. It was clear she wanted the conversation to be over and couldnt give me any details about it when I asked why.
My wife needed to get a few things checked. They were all very professional and communicate well. The nurse was awesome and very friendly.
Great clean facility. Covid intake screen was fast and easily done from your car. Lupita was most gentle with the blood finger pick.
This Planned Parenthood location has a great staff and a very clean facility. For my services they made sure I wanted to get them done and made sure I was taking care of it.
I had a really great experience here. Staff were all very nice and explained things to me very clearly. I felt cared for and respected. Definitely recommend this location!
Ive driven from Gresham to the PPH Vancouver, been seen, and back into Gresham quicker than Ive ever been seen here, I always end up sitting in a back room for an hour or more for no real reason.
Ive been waiting an entire week in pain for Dr. Christina Steurer send my meds to my pharmacy. Even my pharmacy has been faxing and calling them. Im totally beside myself.
Great resources. I get violently sick from most birth control and am pretty sure Im infertile, and PP is helping me navigate this difficult time.
They did very well, made me feel safe and happy.
Wait times here are ridiculous. The staff is dismissive and unwelcoming. Do yourself a favor and don’t go.
Planned parenthood does not give mammograms.
I love this location!!!! The staff is amazing, patient and super helpful.
I was spoken to condescendingly and given conflicting information by staff.
Very professional.
Very friendly
