Dr. Lucero is wonderful. Ive always felt heard by both her and her very patient staff. She is gentle and takes whatever time is needed. The new front desk staff have also always been very friendly and welcoming in my experience. It was nice to always see them whenever I came for my appointments while pregnant.
Dr. Mark Maunder was my OBGYN for almost a decade before he decided to retire. Now that he is no longer there, I decided to change to one of his recommendations who was Dr. Lucero. Went into for a nexplanon replacement, took longer than expected. In the middle of removal, she was called to the hospital to deliver a baby… no problem, I’ve worked in specialty so I understand the whole on call thing. She returns to the office about 45 min later to finish my procedure… used the same supplies that was there.. didn’t think much of it.. it was my stuff even though it sat there for awhile… a couple months later, during my annual exam I informed her about the implant is causing a lot of arm pain that radiates into my elbow and hand… her response was “well you don’t have any meat on your bones, it’s probably touching a nerve. You’re so skinny.” I tried my very best to keep my thoughts together, but I was very uncomfortable with her comment, especially since she is petite as well. I did respond to her about why I lost so much weight, and it got a little awkward afterwards, tried to reel back in with “oh well, I can remove it if it causing you that much trouble”… I declined and said I’ll get a second opinion. Second opinion said the implant was placed in the wrong part of the arm and that is why my symptoms were so common. Whether I received a second opinion or not, a physician or anybody really, should not make comments about someone’s image.. there are other ways to express your “concerns” in a professional manner.
Im a long long time patient of Dr Fitzpatrick who retired. I LOVED him and his staff and will miss him. I saw a different provider last year (one reccomended to me by thier office) & she too rough with my breast exam & did not take the time to listen me me. I even told her she was hurting me & I hurt a couple weeks after my appt. My breast surgeon (due to cancer DX) who also checks my breast never hurts me like that ever even right after my breast surgery. So the following year I let the office know reason why & that I wanted to see another physician in thier office. Was told they need to get permission from the office manager 1st to switch. Was TOLD also I would only be ALLOWED to do this ONCE in my LIFETIME Reason given it is thier OFFICE POLICY & that the providers in thier office do not SHARE patients. I made sure to ask others for recommendations first then called them back to choose Dr Harrison. Was told AGAIN by office manager about thier facility policy, like I was a CHILD (Im 59 years old) Im not a difficult patient (Was an RN till health issues made me unable to work many years ago) & never made any complaints about this facility or other medical facilities till now. When is that sort of treatment of patients (customers) better yet loyal long term patients EVER okay? Sounds like they may need to look at THEMSELVES & why they need such a POLICY instead of UPSETTING & Disrespecting their LONG TIME LOYAL patients. Never once was I told I APOLOGIZE that happened to you!! I will certainly discuss this with provider (Who others reccomended to me and has good reviews unlike the provider I saw last year) at my next appt and ask for a copy of that POLICY
I do not recommend this place . The staff is so unsympathetic & rude . I was 15 mins early instead of 30 due to complications that I’m having during my pregnancy . Instead of them taking me they then told me I’d have to wait another week after I waited 2 weeks for the appointment I had . 2 weeks of being sick . Pregnancy is already hard enough and for them to turn me around not knowing if I’m ok or what the situation was. I wish I could 0 star them . I drove 1 hour just to be told I can’t be seen . Still in the same time frame of my appointment. They obviously don’t want to work and have no care for the people who need there help . Then scheduled two appointments one at 7:00 & the next at 11:30…It doesn’t really seem like they care about the comfort nor happiness of there patients at all . That is horrible when you’re dealing with pregnant woman who may be going through so much already . DO NOT RECOMMEND
Terrible staff. The girl at the front desk was kind, but the nurse told her to turn me away for a scheduled mammogram for a questionable lump. After waiting 10 weeks for an appointment, I arrived 8 minutes late for the “30 minute new patient check in” that I had already completed online prior to my appointment. It would be one thing if the paperwork wasn’t filled out ahead of time, but it was already completed. Absolutely ridiculous.
Would not recommend at all.. have had a horrible experience there and luckily I advocate for myself. They were fine taking my money but then refusing to provide the service I paid for ahead of time. Knew in advance they wouldnt provide the service and still had me waste my time/money coming in. These DRs do not care about you- always remember ladies ITS YOUR BODY YOUR CHOICE- do your research and know the laws. They will try to talk you out of stuff or not be honest with you.Im having to demand a refund and make sure at the end of the day IM taken care of.I would never recommend them to anyone and hopefully can find a DR who actually cares about their patient and listens.
Dr. Harrison is fantastic. She addresses your questions and concerns, never making you feel rushed or like you are wasting her time.
I saw Dr. Lucero to replace my nexplanon implant. The old implant had migrated a little, and she had some trouble getting at it because of this, but she stayed so calm and consistently reassured me that it was okay and things were going well. She and her assistant were both professional but still very personable and friendly.
I like the my doctor she has always been very nice and explains things well. The nurses are wonderful and kind too. What has happened however is the front office has the worst customer service in setting appointments and answering questions. I was told I couldnt schedule my appointment because my Dr. was booked 6 months out and they were not taking appointments for that month until the end of Dec. Im sorry, but I find this unacceptable. The only reason I havent seen anyone else, I feel comfortable with the doctor Ive been seeing for many years now. I hate Im going to have to start finding another one if this doesnt change soon.
The staff is very rude. I didn’t even want make the appointment because how rudely she spoke. I called multiple times and it was always going on voicemail and the one time I connected she was rude and just hung up before I can speak. I guess they have enough patients to not care for more, but being in the medical industry first thing you should be is compassionate. I am sure the doctors are great but this location needs better receptionist!
Good luck getting a human to answer the phone. Website says open until 5pm but call after 4 and they are closed. My last three appointments were canceled by their office. They didn’t even bother notifying me until I was at my appointment for the most recent one!
Overall my experience was great here up until the birth of my first baby in November 2023. The bedside manner is fantastic here with everyone I spoke to and they were extremely efficient to respond and assist throughout my visits. However, to summarize, if you have anything unique about your pregnancy like I did, I’d recommend going elsewhere. I was told when I showed up to deliver that a last minute change they made to my birth plan would not allow me to have an epidural. The details- at the recommendation of my obgyn here I started seeing the hematologist that she referred me to due to low platelet count. After months of seeing the hematologist, taking time off of work, taking prescribed medication, dollars spent, etc. ultimately my hematologist and obgyn developed a birth plan for me which included a platelet transfusion so that I could get an epidural. When it came time to deliver at St David’s round rock medical center (in the same center) the anesthesiologist would not do the platelet transfusion due to the riskiness and therefore an epidural as well. It wasn’t just one anesthesiologist, but multiple that said the same thing over the course of my time at the hospital. Why was an anesthesiologist not included in my birth plan if they were going to be the ones administering the epidural? The last minute change of not being able to receive an epidural left me in a panic, stressed, and with the immense pain of an induced birth without pain medication. I originally wanted multiple children, but now I question that due to my birth experience.I gave this feedback to my obgyn and she agreed that the mark was missed with my birth, but wasn’t sure what could have been done better besides maybe in the future giving her phone number for after hours care. She said unfortunately sometimes this is experience you get with “the weekend crew”
I had previously given a 3 star review but I deleted it to provide this 5 star review.I unfortunately suffered a miscarriage this week and Dr. Harrison couldnt have taken care of me any better! Her clinical staff, Emily, returned my call within a couple of hours and got me on the schedule asap. When I went in to confirm the hospitals findings, Jane, the US tech was very caring about me being visibly upset. She was quick and efficient as well which I appreciated. Dr. Harrison was apologetic about the wait and her bedside manner was caring, warm, and felt sincere. I really appreciated these things during a dark time.
Do not go here! They will mislead you into extensive testing, not tell you that your insurance is out of network and months later you’re slapped with an +$800 bill. Then they will tell you that they can no longer help you, and it’s now in between you and the vendor who also cannot help you.I am so upset with this office - who I saw for over 13 years. I loved Dr Murphree, and ever since I needed OB care when I had my first daughter, and since he retired, I have had a horrible experience. I was fear-mongered and treated like I was incompetent when I declined the Covid vaccine, when I was just 8weeks pregnant back in 2021. Then all of a sudden, women started miscarrying and the CDC told Dr’s to stop giving the shot to pregnant women, only then did the office take down the covid vaccine signs and stop pushing women to get it. What would they have done if I lost my daughter bc they tried to push me into getting this vaccine that was not studied on pregnant women??? Absolutely nothing. I am disgusted with this establishment and I urge you to look elsewhere for your OBGYN care.
The people of Ascension Seton Womens Health RR are fantastic!I didn’t expect to be wowed. I felt like I was starting over, given the change from Oakwood to Ascension, and my long-time Dr. there having recently retired as well. However, all my experiences have been awesome! I recently called with an urgent problem, hoping to be seen the same day. The scheduler was sympathetic to my need and worked diligently to get me in with a new doctor that day.Another time, I was at the office when the power went out. It reset all the computers and equipment, bringing the entire place to a halt. I witnessed professionalism, courtesy, patience and a calm and friendly demeanor from every one of the front desk staff, some of which who were trainees. I was also very impressed with their supervisor, who exhibited great leadership, guidance and care towards her team, and concern for patients.I am surprised by the low-rated reviews. This team gets a well-deserved 5 stars from me!!(Side note - when the power goes out in that space, there are lots of windows letting light in! I did not encounter an area that was actually dark.)
I am so appreciative for Dr. Harrison and her entire staff for the treatment I received. I had a lot of health anxiety and I was shown compassion and understanding. Tests were done and results were quick and understandable.Dr. Harrison is professional and personable. It was an overall wonderful experience of which I am truly grateful.
Extremely Disappointing Service and Unprofessional Behavior!I am compelled to share our disheartening experience atAscension Medical Group Seton Womens Health Round Rock. We had an appointment scheduled for my daughter at 9 AM, which was booked four months in advance. Despite following every instruction provided by the clinic, our experience was marred by unprofessionalism and disrespect.Conflicting Instructions: We received a call to arrive 15 minutes early to fill out forms. An hour before the appointment, a text instructed us to complete the forms online to save waiting time before appointment, which we did promptly, including online check-in and payment!Arrival and Dismissal: We arrived exactly at 9 AM, only to be met with an unreasonable and rude response from the front office. The representative accused us of being late, citing a need to complete forms that we had already filled out online.Inappropriate Behavior: Our attempt to explain that all forms were completed online was met with laughter, eye-rolling, and outright dismissal. The representative disregarded the clinic’s responsible for messaging system and insisted that the doctor would not see us.Lack of Empathy and Professionalism: There was no attempt to understand our situation or acknowledge the efforts we made to comply with their procedures. Instead, we were told our appointment must be rescheduled. This level of customer service is unacceptable, especially in a medical setting where empathy and understanding are paramount. The contradiction in instructions and the subsequent rude treatment we received reflect poorly on Ascension Medical Group Seton Womens Health Round Rock office. It’s disheartening to see such disregard for patients time and effort, particularly when dealing with healthcare matters.I hope this review serves as a call for improvement in customer service and professionalism at Ascension Medical Group Seton Womens Health Round Rock, but this is just hope... Just reviewed bunch of other reviews - and looks like they even stopped responding to reviews. So looks like they just truly do not care.
I have been an established patient with this office for about 16 years. Dr. Maunder retired, so I started seeing Dr. Murphree. He retired last year. I called to schedule an appointment and the first available was four months out, for a well established patient. I do like that they conduct a mammogram, labs & annual well womans exam in office on the same day but this time they scheduled my appointments an hour and 45 apart. I already drive 1.5 hours just to go to this office but i am sure there are other closer offices with equally good physicians that I can see , and not have to wait 4 months.
Nurses are great. Front desk is nice. Doctors don’t care. They act like you are bothering them by being there. Very dismissive. Will not be back.
Fantastic experience! I was treated kindly form the front person, to the tech for my mammo and Dr. Lucero is amazing! I just moved to Texas so I am so happy I found a GYN that I like.
Don’t go here if you’re in perimenopause or menopause. They will never educate or inform you about hormone health. Not a single brochure or mention of hormones. No questions or recommendations on lifestyle or HRT. They won’t even suggest you come back at a later time for an appt just to focus on that. You will get a PAP and if you go over your 15mins they will charge you extra. You even have to fill out a waiver agreeing to the overage fees if your appointment goes longer than 15mins! I was offered prayers for my hormone health.
I called to make an appointment and the call-taker Taylor was hard to hear over the phone. Her tone of voice sounded like she hates her job and patients are an inconvenience to her. She got an attitude when I asked her to repeat what she said, which was more than once. She also spoke to other people while she was on the phone with me, so I had to repeat myself. After booking a date, I asked to be on the cancellation list. She claimed they dont have one, and I should just check back. This makes no sense. Does she expect people to call every day? She looked me up by my date of birth, but I was a new patient to that office. However, she said she pulled up some information from another doctor I had seen so I was in the system. She asked if the email was the same and I told her it was not and to leave that field blank. After I hung up with her, an email was sent just the same so I called her back to let her know that she sent my appt. info to someone elses email. I reiterated to LEAVE THAT FIELD BLANK! Another email was sent after that showing that my patient portal account has been DELETED! Clearly there are problems with some of the folks at the front end of the office which continue to be ignored. I dont care if there was a buyout by another company and there was a changeover with the computer system. Shes certainly old enough to be nice to people, show some manners and a better level of professionalism. Grow up or move on! If you do decide to visit this office, make sure you record every phone call.
Generally have had a great experience with this clinic since I have been a patient for prob close to 10 years. My experience was improved once Dr. Melia Lucero joined and became my Dr after my former retired. She has delivered both of my babies and I cant say enough good things about her and her nurses, they have really taken care of me!
Dr. Hernández was so knowledgeable and honest. She shared some maybe not so good news with my husband and I and did so in a way that was clear but compassionate. She answered all our questions, did not make us feel rushed whatsoever, and when I had to get blood drawn she offered to have the nurse draw it in her office so I wouldn’t have to cry in front of the other moms. 10/10 no matter this outcome we will see her for our future pregnancy needs.
I wouldnt recommend this office to anyone. The lack of professionalism from this place is ridiculous. The front desk staff is incredibly rude and non professional. They lose paperwork and dont ever pick up the phone nor call back when I left voicemails. It is very hard to get anything scheduled correctly. The doctors can be forgetful and very short during visits. I never felt like I was being listened to or given great knowledge during my prenatal visits. I did not feel comfortable going through with delivering at that hospital with that team. The only positive experience I had was the two nurses I was given. They were kind and able to give great answers to any questions I had. It was difficult to get switched over to a new OBGYN but was very relieved once they finally sent over my medical records. Again, I wouldnt recommend this office to anyone.
I delivered my second born with Dr. Anger. She was fine but she never acknowledged my husband ever. The real problem was the way she handled my miscarriage. I feel like people need to be warned. She was very cold and the day it was confirmed she was telling me I should go see a fertility specialist since I had a chemical pregnancy 6 months before. She never tried anything to help me conceive even though I had fertility issues I was aware of in the past (PCOS). Her timing was terrible and really didnt offer any time of comfort or concern. She also orders unnecessary tests that charge all these hidden fees. If you want to talk to the billing department it takes about 3 weeks of them not returning my calls and messages. She ordered about 4 ultrasounds but never once explained them or what could have caused the miscarriage or any other helpful or comforting information. She also never remembered me at all and seemed to forget all about my past medical history even though I had to come in every other week.I have since changed to a new OBGYN called Austin Area OBGYN at St. Davids North Austin. It is so much better and you are treated like a human not a paycheck. Also I would like to mention that I am a Postpartum Registered Nurse so I have more than the average knowledge of obstetrics.
Dr. Michel is absolutely amazing. I just had my first baby a week ago and felt very cared for throughout this whole pregnancy and delivery. I always had so many questions due to me being young and this being my first baby. She never made me feel like I was asking too much. She is very thorough and personal- She doesn’t make you feel like you’re just a patient. After delivering she told me how great of a job I did and how proud she was of me. Her nurses are also the sweetest people, they really make you feel welcome. Thank you Dr. Michel for an amazing experience!💙
I wouldnt recommend this office. The staff consistently displays unprofessional and unhelpful behavior. It seems they dislike their job. While Dr. Michel is kind and attentive, both she and the nurses on her team lack tolerance for your preferences and choices. I chose to stop going to this place due to the unprofessionalism of the staff and nurses.
Updated review:I finally made it in for an appointment and overall had a nice experience. So Im updating my review from 1 star to 3 stars. Staff was very friendly, Dr. Hernandez was nice to talk to and she was attentive and swift with her care. I went for a routine annual check-up and was in and out within 30min. Just a shame that booking an appointment was such an unpleasant ordeal.Previous review:I have had my appointment in the books for MONTHS. And already had it canceled once before and had to reschedule. Then the morning of my 8:30am appointment I get an automated text message at 7:40am that it has been canceled. Unbelievable. It’s EXTREMELY inconsiderate of people’s lives and their schedules. If you want reliable scheduling, then GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.
Absolutely LOVE my Doctor there (Hernandez) But the front desk staff is terrible. They are rude, unhelpful and NEVER answer the phones. Appointments are nearly impossible to schedule. Everything went downhill when taken over by Seton.
I am a new patient, I have moved from another state. I had problems with pain and needed an exam. Ok, I know new patients are always long stories.I waited for my appointment for a month and a half, in order to come and fill in the necessary data on my phone in their office. I was told that I had to pay $116 for the visit and was sent to make a new appointment for an ultrasound and a checkup. The doctor spent 15 minutes with me at most, this visit could also be done by phone or telemedicine tbh if they were not planning to do any examination. I took time off from work and wasted my time and payed 116... Well, usually, in other offices, after the doctor says that another visit or ultrasound is needed, the nurse immediately takes the necessary information and makes the necessary appointments. However, they sent me to the reception. There was a line at the reception and I was asked to stand in line!!! To finish my visit? Really? In the office of my former gynecologist, his assistant always always completed communication with the patient and his new appointments, and did not throw her into the general queue of waiting patients. So that later I find out that they can schedule my checkup for mid-February. To be honest, I didnt understand well what I paid money for today, It sounds strange because I have good insurance.Maybe there are good doctors, but I dont have the patience or time to wait for the next visit in February and Im not sure that on this visit they will give me a checkup and pap. Will look for another office for sure, one visit was enough for me to get distrust and a feeling of unprofessionalism in this place.
Terrible place. We came in the office in time but there was a line. While we got to the check in it was 8 min after appointment time and we were rudely told to reschedule because we are late. It was my daughters first appointment and I took her from school and I took time off from work.It wouldn’t be the biggest problem if the person at the front desk wasn’t terribly rude and talked with attitude
I called to schedule a new patient appointment gave my insurance information and was told someone would call me back to schedule my appointment the next day. Why? Of course I was at work and could not answer the phone when they called the next day. I called back and was on hold for 10 min when I finally got to speak with someone I was put on hold again and waited until I finally hung up and then called again. I finally spoke to someone and was put on hold again. Finally I was told they did not have appointments until atleast the end of the year. At that point I said I would go elsewhere. I wasted all that time when they could have told me upfront. If I could give zero stars I would
Ive been a patient of this group for over 20 years. Ive seen two of the the original physicians, Murphree/Fitzpatrick. Since they retired the practice has been assumed by Seton, which is the problem. I tried to schedule an appt, they do not take any patients of previous Docs and Medicare. Gee sorry I retired. Healthcare today is all about $$$$$$.Dont ever use a seton facility
Dr. Alicia Hernandez and her staff were kind and reassuring when I had to unexpectedly pop in due to my babys movement decreasing. They were so easy and comfortable to talk to, I felt at ease very shortly, despite having a high stressful situation.
I wouldnt recommend this to anyone. The front desk staff lacks professionalism. Their behavior is incredibly rude all the time. Though my doctor and her nursing staff was really good but mainly its the front desk that deals at the first place for appointment scheduling and checking you in etc and they are simply ridiculous.
This is my first time leaving a review for anyone, but I feel compelled. Front desk staff is so incredibly rude and the doctor was not any better. The way they treated me (at 12 weeks pregnant after transferring from a fertility clinic) made me spiral into a panic attack during my appointment. I was told by the doctor that the way I was acting was not normal and that I should be medicated. It is notated in my file that I have an anxiety disorder, and as a doctor, she should have known how to speak to a patient with respect. I also waited over an hour for my ultrasound (that they tried to reschedule for no reason). I immediately transferred doctors. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone.
I didn’t have a good experience here. Staff has been unprofessional and inconsiderate of my time. I scheduled my appointment in Dec, came on time and waited to be seen for my yearly check up. After the nurse takes me to the room and has me fill out paperwork, I wait another 20 minutes only for Dr. Michel to decide to cancel all appointments that morning. I had taken off work to come to this appointment and wasn’t given the courtesy to be notified in advance. I had to reschedule for March and have now been notified that my appointment is cancelled once again via text. I try to call to reschedule, but no response…
Dr. Melia Lucero is awesome 5 starts hands down. Too bad the front desk ladies have no clue. Left my paperwork in the cabinet a whole week after I requested to send to my previous provider for record transfer when I was 4 weeks away from labor. You have 1 job. Never pick up the phone no matter how many times you call if its not the 15th time. And dont bother replying that you are gonna do something about it. You wont. Been a year and nothing changed. Good luck with your low rating.
So far so good, I decided to come here because the Renaissance location was a big disappointment. The front staff was not rude at all the time I came. Hopefully it stays that way. Wait time after check in was not too bad....about 20-30 minutes. Just dont show up late or youll end up waiting for everyone who came on time to be seen. Getting an appointment was a breeze. I was seen within a week after I called.
If you decide to go to this place do not choose Dr. Michel. I have been twice and refuse to ever go back to her. You wait around forever and when you are finally seen Dr. Stephanie Michel treats you like a heard of cattle. On my first visit I specifically told the receptionist that I needed my IUD replaced. The lady who scheduled my appointment also was told that I am specifically booking the appointment to get my IUD replaced. After booking the appointment and coming in I was told by Dr. Michel that there were no IUDs left and I needed to book another appointment and come back to get my old IUD removed and the new replacement. I was furious. After having an anxiety attack and on the verge of a meltdown the IUD fairy magically dropped off an IUD five minutes later. Now I see Dr. Michel was just trying to waste my time and money. I couldn’t believe they would lie to their patient. No IUDs in the entire office? Seriously? If I wasn’t eligible to get an IUD on my first visit then the receptionist who scheduled me as well as the receptionist that took my intake forms that clearly said, “Reason for visit: IUD replacement” should have let me know. There was no excuse to LIE to me by telling me they were out of IUDs. Absolutely uncalled for.I always give people another chance so the following year I come back for my annual and felt rushed just like the first time. I am paying for a service and you are here to provide that service. Dr. Michel had zero patience and horrible bedside manner. She looked stressed out and hungover. I literally felt like I was a number to her. She had me in and out in ten minutes and didn’t bother going through even the basics with me. You could not pay me to go back to her. Good riddance!
I’ve been going here since I was 15 years old. When I got pregnant they stuck me with Dr. Lucero, did not give me another choice. She was late with calling me back multiple times, then just made me feel like I wasn’t a priority. After having my baby (whom she didn’t even deliver) they tell me I cannot switch my OB unless SHE says it’s okay for me to return to the office & not see her. Ridiculous, didn’t know she ran the office since she’s not been there for too long. She constantly made me feel as though me & my pregnancy was not important & she had other things to do. Definitely would not recommend. During my stay at the hospital, multiple nurses recommended me to Dr. Michelle & Dr. Duncan.
When I first came to this doctor I saw Dr. Maunder and he was amazing and helped me every time. When Dr. Maunder retired I was out with another doctor who was going to try and help me and was going on maternity leave. I was excited to have someone who would care about my situation and help me. The next time I need to come in she’s on Maternity leave and I need to see another doctor so I do. I have been flipped though so many doctors at this point And my doctor is on Maternity leave so I can’t call and ask for a medication that I’m not allergic to with a bit of a challenge but the doctor sees my chart and knows and sees it’s called in before and calls it in for me and I always go the next day the office is open. I called today knowing my doctor is on Maternity leave but that the doctors can read my chart. I called today to get a prescription I have been called in 100 times and it has to be that certain one and when I call to get it and say I’ll come in tomorrow I just need relief after 4 days due to it being a holiday I was told that Dr. Stephanie Michel would not prescribe me something every other doctor and would and told her I just want the name brand of the prescription that my doctor on maternity leave just prescribed me. That she didn’t think it was the right call and I need to come in and see her. I told her I couldn’t wait that long and I could come tomorrow when they are open but need something right now. I was bluntly told then go to urgent care. When I mentioned it’s on my profile she said yes I can see it but I’m not prescribing it. You can wait to be seen tomorrow or go to urgent care. I would not recommend this practice to anyone and if you do have to go do not see Dr. Stephanie Michel. She is rude and has no decency for anyone in need and seems to only care about herself. I will be finding a new obgyn after 5 years of going to this OBGYN.
Dr. Duncan was my OB for my pregnancy, no complaints with her. The office staff though...- They LOST MY BLOOD SAMPLES. I did a 3 hour glucose test in which they took 4 blood samples. Only 1 sample was tested because they misplaced the others, I had to redo the horrible test.- Receptionist “forgot” to check me in so I had to wait an additional 40 minutes to begin my 3 hour test. She shrugged her shoulders and rolled her eyes.- IMPOSSIBLE to get anyone on the phone to make an appointment.- I leave multiple messages, no returned call.If anyone of authority reads these reviews, you have got to fix the staff incompetence. The doctors are great, but I would never recommend any of them based on the office staff. Will be finding a new OB going forward.
I dont understand why all the negative reviews. I have yet to have a bad experience. I saw Dr. Fitzpatrick for my annual and he had a great bedside manner. I was a little sad when I found out he doesnt do delivery and prenatal. I now see Dr. Hernandez for prenatal care. She and her nurse are great! I see most people complaining about scheduling or phone issues. I do know they are in the process of training several people in the front desk which may explain some of the experiences people have posted about. However, when I have called, if no one answers immediately, they have always called me back when I leave a message.
I haven been coming to this practice for almost 7 years. And each time a different doctor. Dr Murphy delivered my first child and I am currently pregnant with my second and have Dr Hernandez. Before deciding to com back to this practice I did look into other places and let me tell you no one called back or even had the time of day for me. I call oakwood and they scheduled me right then. I have had 2 appointments with Dr Hernandez so far and both times she has made me feel heard out in this pregnancy. I had a scare and she said we can run tests, and made sure she made me feel I was going to be taken care of. It is 2022 and all I have been seeing is rude reviews about this office and Drs news falsh people they have had to jump through hoops for us who keep having kids or us who need annuals. Yes it is their job but they are still people like us. Difference is they been put through heck and now have to deal with us. Thank you oak wood women center
Dr Lucero and the team at OakWood Women’s Center are the best! They treat me with kindness and respect and have never once made me feel bad about being overweight.
I’ve been coming to this office since I was 18 and I have noticed the decline in customer service, especially in the past year. I called a couple months ago regarding an emergency issue and asked to see my OB, Dr. Lucero. Her nurse was beyond rude and unprofessional over the phone, and spoke in a condescending manner. I got scheduled with a different doctor since I couldn’t get seen by mine and the front office staff was just short mannered. Then when I got into the room to be seen, the M.A., had a mask on and I explained I needed her to move her mask down so I could read her lips as I’m deaf/hard of hearing. She refused. And was very rude about it and gave attitude. Needless to say, I’m in the process of looking for a different doctor and will only be retuning to get copies of my records to switch elsewhere. It stinks because I love Dr. Lucero, but the fact I was treated the way I was and then a medical professional didn’t want to accommodate my hearing impairment and was rude about it, is unacceptable.
I don’t even know where to begin explaining how phenomenal Dr Harrison and her team are. From start to finish they were accommodating, kind, and informative. Being pregnant with underlying health condition (ehlers danlos and asthma) she went above and beyond to make sure I received the best care for my higher risk complications. During labor and delivery, she communicated with me and did not rush me at all, allowing me to continue laboring until my baby was ready - long past when most doctors would probably force a cesarean. She was there checking in the whole time. She is calm and kind, and a mother herself so she just gets it. Her staff are awesome and responsive, and delivering at St David’s Round Rock was a wonderful experience as well. Big fan all around highly recommend this practice.
I loved Dr. Lucero but I left this doctors office strictly because the staff was so rude. I dreaded calling them because I knew how they would speak to me every time. They were not flexible or willing to help and they would often cut me off when speaking. When I called to ask them to transfer my files to a new doctor, the girl at the front desk asked where to send them and when I told her the name of the new doctor (also in Round Rock) she laughed at me. I would not recommend going here.
Avoid Oakwood at all costs if you want personalized care that is truly patient focused. I should have known my experience this go around would go downhill when Dr Anger and Dr Duncan discussed how over booked and frustrated they were while in the elevator with patients present. Doesn’t that bode confidence? They hate that they’re double/triple booked seeing upwards of 28 patients? Oh and you happen to be one of them?Next would be finding out that my pregnancy likely wasn’t viable via a nurse through the patient portal! Yes you read that right, my doctor didn’t call to deliver that news, it wasn’t worth a phone call. Just a message from the nurse via the portal. When I inquired about next steps, and moving forward, I was given the response that it would be determined at my next appointment 13 days later. I had HCG levels that fell significantly and no heartbeat seen on ultrasound, this was not just a suspicion it may not be viable, everything pointed towards this, but let’s wait 13 days to decide what to do with zero guidance as to what may happen in these next 13 days.As my luck would have it, on day 11 I miscarried naturally at home with zero guidance or idea of what to expect thanks to the lack of care. I messaged via the portal to let them know in case there is anything I need to be aware of (I haven’t had this occur before) and had an appointment coming up. Yet again this is answered by a nurse, and this is the first time I get an “I’m sorry”/any empathy. The only concern is if I’m nauseous, not in pain, not if I’m okay, but “do you need something for your nausea”. When I reply that I’m not nauseous but is there anything I need to look out for, crickets, nothing. Zero response, zero patient education, zero follow up. The only reason I was called the next day was because they had to cancel my follow up due to weather… but again NEVER CALLED BY MY DOCTOR!! They also never updated the ultrasonographer, so I came in for my confirmation ultrasound to make sure I passed everything and poor woman thought I was still pregnant because they didn’t update her!So please avoid this antiquated, overbooked practice. I thought I was being picky when I had my second child with them in 2020 but this completely solidified the lack of patient care and very real risks they put patients at by continuing to practice they way they do. I have filed a complaint with the medical board as well, as there is a very clear lack of patient safety and concern that occurred throughout this situation and I know I cannot be the only patient that has experienced this.
Horrible experience! I had to wait 1 hour and 20 minutes to be seen by the physician. I was there a total of 2 hours! I came for a routine PAP! The explanation from staff was sometimes the system doesn’t show you as waiting and puts you as a no show. I asked the front desk 30 minutes into waiting if there was a delay of some sort. They said the doctor was behind. It wasn’t till an hour into waiting that they checked on why I hadn’t been called. When I spoke with the front desk at the end she said I didn’t fill out a paper sent to me via text (I didn’t receive one nor was a told I was lacking paperwork). How is this an answer!?! I felt put off and dismissed. Dr Hernandez was great but everything else was awful!PLEASE DONT WRITE ME THE GENERIC COMMENT YOU WRITE ON EVERY GOOGLE REVIEW. It’s super insincere and no one feels heard when your response is the same to every unhappy person.
Front desk staff is very unprofessional and rude . Around 15 days ago I had to cancel my ultrasound and appointment, I requested them to reschedule as they did. And They called me yesterday and left the message to call them back, never mentioned they need to reschedule. I called them and no one answered the phone. Today when I was on my way to appointment, they called me and told that they need to reschedule. It looks they are not really happy working with patients. If you are not happy with your job, please don’t work at that position, just don’t make people’s life worse from whom you are getting paid.
I would leave zero stars if I could. Zero professionalism from the front staff, the wait time is absolutely horrible. They decide to call me at 6 months pregnant that they haven’t taken my insurance since I’ve been seeing them and I have to find a new doctor or pay out of pocket.
After Dr. choudry closed her practice and the other doctors went over to Oakwood. I naturally went there to make the switch easier. It has been anything but easy. I was due for my yearly check up. I went today to check in and was refused service b/c I had my daughter who was over the age 12 months with me. Despite the online pre check in process - where there is NO mention of not being able to bring a child. All I really need was a renewed prescription for birth control and they looked at me like I was asking for some sort of controlled substance and told me that there next appt would be in mid May. Not happy that I took time to fill out paper work and be on time to be turned away
Dr Duncan is great, makes me feel comfortable and answers all my one million questions. Front desk staff is friendly and Tiffany the nurse is the best nurse, she is so welcoming and friendly and is such a big help when needed without any complaints and a smile on her face.- Alexis Ayub
I have had horrifying experiences with/at this clinic. The physician assistant had no sympathy or sense of urgency, which caused a lot of physical and emotional pain for me. The doctor did not follow through and provided an incorrect diagnosis without evidence.I dont want to go into my medical details, but all the physical pain and emotional stress could have been avoided if the physician’s assistant would have shown a little bit of sympathy or sense of urgency by giving me an appointment. My prolong bleeding could have been stopped much earlier if the doctor had followed up with a weekly ultrasound or blood test. Unfortunately none of this happened, it was one mistake after another that led to 2 awful months with this clinic. I am glad I switched, otherwise I would have had a surgery for no reason.
I made an appointment a whole month in advance (because that’s how far out they were booked) and it wasn’t until I showed up the day of my appointment that I was told, the form of insurance I had was invalid and I was going to have to pay out of pocket. I will say they had tried to call me a couple of times prior to the appointment but I was working so I missed them and they never once left a voicemail. Also, every time I tried calling back they didn’t answer! On top of all this, the lady at the front desk didn’t try to help me whatsoever. It was completely evident that she absolutely didn’t care about my situation at all. I asked her to give me a moment to figure things out and her response was “well your appointment is supposed to start in 2 minutes”. She made me feel horrible and didn’t apologize once.I ended up having to cancel my appointment and I didn’t bother to reschedule because I was treated so horribly. Plus I can’t afford to take another day off of work.I understand that insurance is tricky but they could have at least left me a message explaining the situation instead of just letting me show up and be completely caught off guard that I was going to have to pay out of pocket.
The doctors aren’t terrible but the front desk women ALWAYS have the worst attitude, never ever friendly. Once my pregnancy is completed I will never come here again!***update***I love Dr.Michel and have continued to use her throughout my second pregnancy. However front desk is still quite rude.
The staff was so incompetent and did not let me know ahead of time I needed a full bladder to get the ultra sound, so the technician had me drink water and said she would come get me in 30 minutes but did not and had me wait on my day off for over an hour. When I went to talk to the front desk lady who checked me out, she was so rude and basically told me all I can do is wait. The doctor was very Un interested and did not seem knowledgeable at all. They had a line going out the door and clearly schedule way more patients than they can handle. Save your money and your time.
Dr. Harrison is a wonderful Dr. She is intelligent, caring, and great at her profession. If you want a Dr. that is modern and well versed choose her. The nurse who drew my blood was great as well, could not even feel the procedure. The front desk and facility itself is always fantastic as well.
I went thru this office with Dr. Michel with my first child, who is now almost one. It seemed ok at the beginning.. they got me in same day when I found out I was pregnant. Dr. Michel and her nurse were really nice.. except all of my concerns seemed to be met with well you are pregnant so I pretty much stopped asking questions. As a patient having my first baby.. not a good feeling. My husband would come to all of my appointments and sometimes we waited 5 minutes.. Other times it would be 2+ hours. A lot of times we would see other patients give up in the waiting room and reschedule. Its frustrating when they dont respect your time as a patient. Closer to the end of my pregnancy Dr. Michel was checking how many centimeters dilated I was and said she tried to stretch it to 2cm (I was 1cm for a long time and frustrated) and I bled all over the place. I stayed and was monitored to make sure everything was ok.. and it was.. but that was my biggest red flag. At my 6 week check up postpartum I brought up concerns about depression.. again told well you did just have a baby and I just dealt with this solo for months after. After over 6 months I saw another doctor who was shocked and put me on medication that has helped me tremendously. I was also double billed for my delivery for whatever reason and the insurance company realized it 6 months later and I had to pay some money back that they had given me for going over my deductible. Fast forward to today.. Im just trying to get some assistance with a simple birth control prescription and no one seems to work there or be able to call back. Last straw.. find literally any other OB/GYN office to go to!
Horrible experience and staff. I want to clarify that the doctor herself (Doctor Harrison) is very kind but my goodness the rest of the staff was so rude. If I could give no stars I honestly would. Dont come here, save your time and money. Due to my reason for being there I was at the office almost everyday and the staff at the front desk was rude the entire time. They give nasty looks, ignore you, or just sit and gossip while youre waiting right in front of them. I asked them for a cup of water and the lady said there wasnt any but the nurse from before had given me some. After I told her about that it seemed like she remembered there in fact was water?????? Not only that, one of the girls from the front desk seemed to have an attitude toward me from the first day. I went in the next day to get labs and come to find out she never wrote my name down and made the appointment and flat out said, Yeah, I didnt send the email. Not only that but when I asked for a copy of my labs they charged me $6. The price is not the issue but the fact that I have to pay to obtain my own records is completely absurd.
I see Dr. Hernandez and have this far had a wonderful experience with her. We trust her judgement, feel she answers our questions clearly and also supports our health decisions related to upcoming our upcoming labor. I am relieved to have found her as an OBGYN.
Dr. Anger is the best! She always makes me feel so comfortable. She is a great listener and very friendly.
This is my first visit. When I walked into the front desk no one looked up or greeted me. I waited for a minute before my husband asked if we were in the right place. I was told I would be getting an ultra sound for my pregnancy but I was not informed on what else would be taking place. After the ultra sound I was told to wait for the doctor. I waited 40 minutes. Finally was taken back and then waited another 30 minutes to be seen. Dr. Michelle was nice and apologized for the wait. I am currently sitting here waiting for blood work to be done. So far we have been here 2 hours and 30 mins. Thats a long time for the first appointment of the day (7:30). It would not have been a big problem had I been informed and able to schedule for work. Oakwood gets an F for communication and efficiency.
I’ve been going to Oakwood for 5 yrs now and have always had a great experience. The ob that delivered my daughter moved away and I then started seeing Dr Harrison. Love her! She is attentive and relatable which makes communicating with her so much easier. Highly recommend her.
I have been a patient there since 2009. It went down hill quickly after Dr. Maunder, Dr Orth and Dr. Murphree have retired. The front desk staff is ridiculously unfriendly and always act like they don’t care. Time to find a new OBGyn.
Just called to set up an appointment. It has taken them a while to return my call. Now, new patients will require over 3 months to be seen…please do better as an organization! The receptionist was extremely rude and dismissive.
I was very excited to find out my partner and I were expecting our newest addition to the family. After much research, I decided on Dr. Lucero as she is an alumni of UNM, the same college which I attended. First, I called and left a voicemail, hoping to receive a return call to schedule an appointment. I waited a week with no response. Today, I called and was greeted by a rude, abrupt and cold receptionist. Somehow, calling to schedule an appointment was an inconvenience to her. Based on her demeanor alone, I have zero desire to seek care at this center. I have scheduled an appointment, but plan to cancel immediately as soon as I find alternative care. Way to ruin a happy time in a family’s life with such a sour attitude.
Deff plan to not see the dr until 40 minutes unto your appontment. Check in process is always long .This place is okay to get annual check up or any gyno concerns . Im 25 Ive been seeing Dr Michelle for a few years and Shes great and also gives me samples of things to try if im curious like sensitive lube ect.Idk about coming here for pregnancy but everything else is great. Check in takes a while so plan to be here 1hr 1/2 or 2 hrs to give urself enough time and not rush around .
Edit: They have failed to contact me about my test results, failed to send my prescription to the pharmacy, and failed to correct a billing error until two months later (they would have sent it to collections after a third month, for THEIR MISTAKE which I pointed out THREE TIMES). I am now 20 weeks pregnant and changing OBGYN; I wish I left earlier, dont go here.I have called at 4 to a closed phone line that repeatedly stated they are open until 5. I tried to schedule cell-free DNA testing and the receptionist had no idea what I was talking about. After she “talked to a nurse” she scheduled an ultrasound/blood work screening, which is a very different test. At my first appointment, the receptionist forgot to tell me that I needed to give a urine sample so I had to have the internal ultrasound inserted twice. At my second appointment she asked ME if I needed to give a urine sample (how am I supposed to know?). The actual Healthcare providers are fine, but their support staff is a mess and need to be trained better.
Do NOT see Dr. Stephanie Michell. She does not care about the outcome of your child. She was my dr 9 years ago. I had high blood pressure and instead of giving me meds to control it she choose to delivery my son at 37 weeks. She never informed us of any risks at this age. She also was going on vacation right after my son was delivered. I didnt even see her after he was born. It was a different dr. My sons lungs were not developed and he spend 10 days in the nicu very sick. He now has sever autism and will need care for the rest of his life. I truly believe the beginning of his life played a role in this. Even if it didnt. She never cared about me or the well being of my son. I would not recommend her to anyone.
Went there on Jan 11th for my first prenatal visit before moving to Dallas. Because of a mistake from Texas benefits people, I didnt result on their insurance database. Luckily, after explaining to multiple people over at the insurance what happened, they sent a check to Oakwood womens center to refund me $500 and stop sending me bills.I just received a new bill, dated 4/11/2022, for over $400, for stuff Im pretty sure I wasnt even tested for (varicella wasnt in the first tests they gave me) and from a lab here in Dallas. Like, what are you trying to do? You sent my blood to a new lab in Dallas asking for new tests and trying to charge me? So at 6 months pregnant Im gonna have to deal with more calls...and of course I havent seen my $500 back yet. This is not how you treat pregnant women - or anybody seeking care tbh.Dr Hernandez was amazing, but the centre is pretty awful.
Utter incompetence at this place. Do not go here. Wife was supposed to have surgery and the day before we found out the scheduler didnt put her on the schedule! No one will be held accountable and this place doesnt care because they only want one thing and that is money. Their goal is just to have as many people come through their doors as possible. There is no communication within the staff. It is so bad that is boarders on the line of malpractice. Their scheduler is making medical decisions without consulting the Dr. Their response will be to comment on here like they are doing something but in the end it is the same old BS.
The doctors at this health center were fine, but the scheduling staff on the other hand, are another story.I had multiple scheduling issues with them - it seems the staff do not communicate with each other, or the doctor - leading to wasted time on the patients schedule. The last straw was when they cancelled my appointment without alerting me. They said they called me to let me know they had to cancel - in which they did call and left a message for me to call back (no mention of cancelling - just that they need to speak to me). I called back - got their voicemail , surprise surprise - and nothing. I figured it was no big deal since Ive gotten calls from them before confirming my appt, so when they didnt call me back I didnt think much of it.I take off work to head to my appt and arrive and they say Im not on calendar. They say they tried calling me - I say ok, yes I tried calling back but I didnt receive a call back from clinic when I left a message. I asked why they didnt send any notice? She says they cant leave a voicemail to discuss any personal matters - ok well why didnt you leave a message in the patient portal???? OR try calling me back?? (mind you my appt was 2 weeks out when I received the first call so plenty of time to follow up with me)It was already stressful enough with everything going on - not worth wasting my time.
I absolutely LOVE Dr. Fitzpatrick and his nurse Melissa! I have been going here for a few years. Dr. Fitzpatrick and Melissa always make me feel like a friend or family member, even in a personal appointment! I highly recommend. I normally wait for a bit during my appointments but do not mind because Dr’s chairside etiquette makes up for it!
After reading the reviews about the office staff I was prepared to be dismayed. I was surprised at how quickly I was greeted. I was waiting my turn while the people in front of me were being given instructions (very detailed to make sure they understood where to go and how to get there) on where they were supposed to go to get some tests that were needed. Another lady looked up from her computer immediately when she saw me and checked me in. I waited no less than 5 minutes to see the Dr. and less than 2 minutes to get blood drawn. I was in and out in less than an hour.....
If I could leave 0 stars I would. This place is terrible. My daughter went here. They charged her $200.00. They did not check up. Gave her a prescription. when she went to fill it the pharmacist told her it was not longer made. she has called 3 times and no call back after leaving messages. These type of places suck and give a bad name to other doctors. Now she is going to try to go there in person. Do not go here. There are so many bad reviews. Horrible, they should be shut down. All the good reviews must be paid off by the office. Horrible place. You really should just close down.
PA Brittany Key was very personable and kind. Provided answers to my questions!
While I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Paul Murphree, this review is for the overall difficulty in communication that Ive experienced in the past several weeks. The phone tree has a loooong list of options (none of which say if youre calling for any other reason, press...) so I had to guess at which option might get me a human being first. I was passed off to the voice mail for the doctors nurse, which I think may not even be working correctly since Ive left messages on two separate occasions but have not recd a call back either time. When a patient cant even communicate with her doctor or the doctors nurse, its very frustrating. So I will be driving over to the offices just to ask for my lab results from 2 weeks ago. Ugh. Also the Facebook link on their website doesnt work and there is no way to just email my doctor, at least not one thats readily apparent on the website.
Dr. Mary Harrison is absolutely the best doctor experience I have had. I have PCOS and have seen many OBGYNs and this is the first doctor I feel like truly cares about my experience my health. Anytime I message her with questions on the portal she replies with extremely thorough responses and makes me feel completely heard. If you’ve had bad experiences with OBGYNs please try Dr. Harrison.
EDIT 6/19/2018:Showed up for my appointment and was promptly greeted. The woman at the front desk was friendly and professional. I waited less than 5 minutes in the waiting room to be called back. Keisha, one of the nurses, assisted me and she was very pleasant and sweet! Dr. Michel was INCREDIBLE. She really took her time with me and was VERY patient!! I get a little scatter brained at doctors visits because I dont know what to focus on first and just want to blurt it all out at once (haha Im the worst!). She helped understand my concerns and reassured me that they will help me. We both came to an agreed upon course of action and I left feeling very reassured and heard. She was a million times better than the other ob/gyn I saw in Round Rock (Ingrid Brown-see my review for her). Upon leaving the room, I was greeted by the other nurses again. I then checked out with Phelicia (I think thats how she spells it) and she was a blast to chat with. Super funny and sweet. I got blood-work done the same day and only had to wait 5 minutes or so. The phlebotomist was a nice young girl (wish I understood her name but I doubt I could pronounce or spell it anyway!). She wiggled the needle around a bit in my arm, which Im not sure if it was necessary or if it was accidental but when I said it hurt, she apologized sincerely. My experience was nothing like what I expected at this office and Im so glad I didnt cancel my appointment. I go back in a few weeks and Im actually not dreading it! Well see how billing goes. I have a PPO insurance and called to verify coverage details and what not so there shouldnt be any surprises.6/5/2018:I think the word apathetic fits the description of the front desk at this office perfectly. I should have known when I read the reviews about them. I was wise enough to call before my appointment time to confirm they even had my appointment reserved so I didnt waste my time driving over there. I had an appointment with Dr. Michel, not Dr. Lucero, not Dr. so and so, Dr. Michel, yet the receptionist who scheduled me put me with Dr. Lucero when I SPECIFICALLY asked for Dr. Michel. How do I know I did that? Well for 1. I spent over three hours researching different gynecology offices to make sure the new one I transferred to was worth my time and would be better than the previous disaster I experienced. 2. I found her name on my insurance website. 3. I read about her on their website and even watched her Youtube introduction video. 4. Her nurse and I even spoke. I hate going to the doctors, it gives me anxiety and makes me emotional. I was prepared for this visit today but instead when I called to confirm it (again, thats the doctors office JOB, NOT mine) she said Yes its at 1 with Dr. Lucero. I was livid and crushed. I obviously said that wouldnt work and had her schedule me with Dr. Michel but now I have to wait two weeks. She was not apologetic at all and she tried to say thats who I chose. I think her name was Courtney. I work in dentistry (the administrative side) and we would NEVER behave that way and if we did, it would not be tolerated. Clearly their front desk lacks professionalism and training. I will update my review after my visit with the doctor but for now, this 1 star rating stays.
It’s been 2 years now with Dr. Mary Harrison. She’s extremely friendly and sweet. She patiently answers to questions. The staff there are very helpful and attentive.
I have always had a GREAT experience at Oakwood Womens Center. I have been a patient for over 10 yrs. The staff has always been polite. The facility seems to be clean & comfortable. I am now seeing Dr. Orth & she was a delight. Her staff was efficient & very nice. Our daughter also goes there & sees another doctor that she loves.
Love Dr. Harrison!!! Due in August. Only suggestion I would make to this practice is the check in/out process should be better streamlined so pregnant women are not standing on their tired feet for longer than needed. Also, I find it inappropriate to inquire about an owed balance when calling in regarding labor pains. I understand money is owed - however it would be more appropriate to have a conversation in person.
Love Dr.Murphy! He is a great doctor and really cares about his patients and what they need. I never have to sit and wait long to see him and Im usually in and out with all my questions answered and my problems solved. My ONLY issue is his assistant Melissa doesnt like to answer calls or messages for DAYS. I have literally had to call the front desk receptionist to go bacn and get ahold of her for me. Its very frustrating having to sit on hold and leave voicemails and having to wait days for a reply.. But the doctor and his nurse are amazing!
Dr. Murphree delivered my last daughter a couple years ago. He was super amazing, very nice and gentle. I still see him as my OBGYN. I even recommended a couple of my co-workers to him for their pregnancies. His nurse is super friendly and gets back to you quickly. I will keep recommending him to anyone I know.
I would give 0 stars if I could. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been leaving them messages all week about an urgent matter and I never received a call back, though they state you will be called the next business day. When I finally got a hold of someone they immediately transferred me and I had to leave another message. My pharmacy also faxed them a week ago and STILL they have no responded. Trust me, choose another provider.
For a long while I wasnt able to see my usual MD, Fitzpatrick, due to my insurance. I delayed my second pregnancy specifically until I was able to have him as my OB/GYN. I trust no one else. Sometimes the staff is a little short, but no more than any other doctors office. The receptionist is attentive, and my nurse ALWAYS returns my frequent phone calls within the time promised- usually within about two hours. I cannot speak for the other doctors in the practice, but Dr. Fitzpatrick has a way of making even the most uncomfortable of questions and circumstances seem less awkward. His overall bedside manner is great, and he shares the same college football loyalties as we do- apparently securing my husbands approval. I have NEVER waited past my appointment time to be let into an exam room, and he usually apprears within 5 to 10 minutes.
Staff seemed to be inconvenienced by the patients. I was rudely shuffled through, as quickly as possible. I wont be going back, but Im certain no one will care. Theyll likely be relieved to have one less patient!
Dr.Anger is patient, attentive, and thorough. I trust her and recommend her to people looking for an OBGYN.
I stood in line for 2 minutes (making me then 10 min late for my appt) and when someone finally came to the front desk another patient came up behind me and the receptionist then helped her instead of checking me in. Then she walked away with a post it note after asking my name...came back and said I needed to reschedule....in MAY! I have concerns and pain and they DO NOT CARE! I’m having to find another doctor to see me sooner. The doctor I found is in their “network” or whatever they call it and I still have to fill out a form to transfer records Bc they don’t even have my records filed correctly even though I was going to see a doctor there today!
I really love Dr. Lucero. Shes personable and makes you feel at ease. Got in and out in 30, was an hour early for my mamo but the awesome chick got me in there in no time and I was done w it all inside an hour!I think you have some really good docs who just arent trained in management and have ended up w some staff that might need some additional training. 😉
I wish I had pleasant things to say, if no stars was an option I’d opt for that! It has been over a week trying to get an appointment! I’ve left several messages and voicemails. When they finally gave me a call back yesterday they transferred me to a Dr but really all I got was ANOTHER VOICEMAIL! When they called back I had gotten busy at the moment and before I could ask if they could hold for just a moment they said “okay bye” and hung up. I called back in 2minutes and got a voicemail(huge surprise). Today I got fed up and left a voicemail stating if they were a busy clinic to let me know so we could stop this ridiculous phone tag game of theirs and I could get the help I am in need of...hour later they call me back transfer me a couple times to tell me I’m not welcome as a patient to their facility....WOW.... funny how they were quick to get in touch with me about that but not an appointment. I found a better place to go to so guess I win in the end. The experience was such a joke though, very unprofessional
I personally loved my doctor Melia Lucero she was great through out my pregnancy however I was not happy at all with the way business was conducted at this facility. I had an insurance switch in my second trimester I gave them a copy of my paper card bc thats what I had at the time while I waiting for the actual card to come in the mail. Made my payments for the doctor to deliver my baby, and continued to be seen by Dr Lucero. Fast forward to my third trimester I pre-registered for the hospital, I stayed on top of calling the hospital because I wanted to know what my out of pocket cost would be and was told my insurance was out of network! I was shocked Oakwoods never caught this until I called them to inform them of what Id been told. Im utterly shocked that the doctor took my insurance and happily took all my continuious payments but St Davids Round Rock Medical Center didnt take my insurance! Im 37 weeks pregnant and now am being told I will need to see a NEW doctor and plan to have my child delivered at a new hospital!! Ive already gone over my birth plan with my doctor and am so close to giving birth! This is beyond absurd that I am having to deal with this! I am more than frustrated that I am going through this literally the last couple of weeks of my pregnancy. I would not recommend this place at all! This is so unprofessional and really shows how unorganized Oakwoods women center is.
I’m rating at three star so far. I think I was so spoiled with Cornerstone OB/GYN. Then they closed and I was referred here. My first visit was my annual and they had none of my records claiming that they use different software then Cornerstone. Kind of felt like I was starting over from scratch. Due to irregular Pap smear I had to go in for a procedure today. They failed to let me know that it was going to be a little shy of $200. I was not prepared for that this morning. However, this is a very wonderful thing, they were willing to work with me and split it into two payments. I do give them credit for this. However the procedure room today felt like I was in the janitors closet. No pictures on the wall and felt more industrial like a garage. I too have called prior to 5 o’clock only to get the message that they are closed when in reality their message is stating that they should be open. I’m more of a three strikes then your out type of gal. I will wait and see what my test results are and see how that’s handled. But boy, I miss Cornerstone OBGYN.
Dr. Murphree is a amazing doctor he delivered my first daughter and will be delivering my second in April. I am very pleased with my experience at this office the lady that does the vitals is amazing and very sweet and Cori (Dr.Murphrees nurse) is so sweet and very caring. I am so blessed to of found this office! I highly recommend him. As for his front check out lady I could do without her. Other than her the office is 100%.
I recently moved to Round Rock and have had the same gyno in CA for over 20 years. I was concerned about whether I would find someone awesome enough to replace her. Dr. Harrison made me feel 100% comfortable the minute she introduced herself. A lot of energy and positive suggestions. Please look her up if you are in need of a gyno.
Good luck trying to get an appointment. I have been a patient for FIVE YEARS. You have to literally call a year in advance to schedule any type of appointment. When you do finally get an appointment, you have to wait 45+ minutes after your appointment time just to be seen. The administration staff is also unhelpful and extremely rude. 10/10 do not recommend this facility.
I have been rescheduled by their office 3 times and every time, they schedule me like I’m calling for the first time. It should not take a 1/2 yr to get a Pap smear. The front desk also likes calling before 8 am and when I try calling back, the call goes to an answering service. Just awful.
Can never get ahold of anybody ever. dr anger... thinks the pregnancies are hers and doesnt really care how her patients feels and how they would like to go about their birth. if you disagree with her she will cancel your relationship without any regard for the health of you or your baby. worst des office I have ever dealt with and if I could give 0 stars i would
After multiple attempts from my wife PCM sending our Tricare new patient referral, Tricare faxing it, my wife personally hand carried to office, I have personally faxed and emailed the referral and speaking with multiple receptionists over the phone. Not one doctor can give us a call and state they have recieved it or that they are not accepting patients. This process to get an appointment has been going on since August of 2018. If its this hard to get an initial appointment, I fear what existing patients have to go through and not sure how this business still has patients.
From check in to check out was a smooth seamless transition. Dr. Anger and staff are always professional and courteous. Please keep up the good work yall😊
Dropped me as a patient completely when my doctor retired. Left me in the lurch with no doctor and no prescription management.Front desk people are extremely rude.
The caring attitude combined with the professional way that Dr. Harrison approaches the concerns a seventy- two year old faces is amazing. We are very thankful for all that she has done and continues to do to make her patients lives more meaningful.Thank you, Margaret Nall
In this past week I’ve been to the ER twice for chronic pelvic pain, I have a history of Endometriosis. This pain is close to unbearable, missed work days, hours spent on my couch, burns from heating pad etc etc.today I FINALLY got into an OB appointment with a new, terribly foul, unprofessional doctor, Dr. Michael Fitzpatrick MD at Oakwood Womens Centre. Dr. Fitzpatrick not only made me feel like I was a complete idiot but also man-splaned my entire appointment to me.I prefer eastern medicine because I’ve been shooed by so many western medicine, “doctors”. (Literally shooed by this terrible doctor today)Dr. Fitzpatrick not only laughed at the fact that I prefer eastern med and drink herbs as pain remedies but also laughed at the fact that I go to my sisters boyfriend for pain management/ pelvic floor therapy and stated that, “he’s no good or qualified”. He’s a licensed psychical therapist and works in sports medicine. Also, there are, “no records” of me having Endometriosis or surgery. It’s all in my head. While dismissing me he was picking at his calluses, looking at his nurse and, “mhmmm”’ing every single one of my comments. And.. laughing with his nurse. From Dr. Michael Fitzpatricks perspective: I don’t have endometriosis, never did, none of my symptoms are endo, I have GI problems, he’s not my doctor so I never should’ve came to him, the CT I got in the ER would’ve shown endometriosis, and I just need to keep using my heating pad. I left with no answers, a doctor laughing at me, no exam AT ALL and no peace of mind.Mind you, this man works at a WOMENS CENTER. He is an OB doctor. Four doctors later and still, I have zero answers, zero help. He’s not only an insensitive doctor he’s an insensitive human and should not work at a women’s clinic.
First, I love Dr. Michel! Apparently after that aweful phone experience, I wont be seeing her any more. I had Dr. Michel take out my first IUD and put in the 2nd which now desperately needs to be removed and am seriously worried. I had such a horrific experience with another Dr and my first IUD that I am scared to see anyone else. As soon as I mentioned I have Bluecross Blueshield MEDICAID her whole tone changed and treated me like scum of the earth. Wow. Im a divorced mother(woman, meaning I make less than a man) of 3 teenagers living in one of the most expensive cities. One should think of someone elses circumstances before jumping to judgement. I wonder if her receptionist job if she has to pay for a 3 to 4 bedroom house and all the bills for 4 people? I told her my IUD is overdue and Im very worried about it, well youre going to have to pay out-of-pocket for that, are you going to want to pay out of pocket for that? Needless to say I hung up the phone. And Im baffled by this whole experience since the website clearly states they take all types of Medicaid. Now I have to wait and get into a new doctor while I continue to have this health risk inside me. Im not worried about myself Im worried about my kids if something happens to me and whos going to take care of them the reason why I havent been able to have it removed its because I didnt have insurance and I couldnt afford it.
I love my doctor. The staff is also great. I just wished that they had exam tables that meet my physical body needs.
It was my first visit with Dr. HERNANDEZ. I was very pleased with her thoroughness, as well as, pleasant demeanor.
Always have great experience with Dr Michel she is great and always there to listen and help with whatever you have going on. The staff is always helpful and polite. Great all the time.
Dr. Orth has been my OBGYN for many years and I absolutely love her as my doctor! Her nurses are always so nice and caring. I can say that I completely trust Dr. Orth with my health as a women. Shes highly intelligent and makes her patients feel comfortable, valued, and assured. I will recommend her to any women who is looking for a fantastic doctor!
Just scheduled an appointment and talked to one of the front desk girls, (wont say her name), but she was extremely rude right off the bat like I was the one causing her to have a bad day. Almost made me want to cancel the appointment in general but they have the best available appointment for me so I just gotta stick with it. But very rude.
I called to schedule an appointment for a possible UTI (possible literally anything else GYNO related) after trying to schedule on their online portal. I was told, with great attidue, that they wouldnt schedule me an appointment unless I knew what for. ... If I knew what for, would I need a doctor to diagnose me? So I said fine, give me my yearly checkup. At this point, the pettiness level must have maxed, as I was told she would not schedule me until after 2 weeks, because I was still 15 days away from it being a full year. I always go in early for my PAPs, with no problems. So now I am left with a possible infection with no doctor. Im absolutely dumbfounded. I have no words. I will be finding a new doctor.
The doctors and sonogram people have done ok but can be a little short. The scheduling staff is just rude and a pain to deal with. Seems like they are all angry all the time. dealing with them is exhausting and frustrating. maybe they are treated poorly or maybe they just hate working here.
I’ve been seeing Dr. Orth for 12 years and recently Dr. Maunders for a surgery. Both of these doctors and their staff have been amazing! I feel throughly cared for each time I visit! Not only are the great doctors, but they are very personable and really take time to visit me each time I see them.
If I could give it a 0 star I would. Very unprofessional I called to make appointment made it super hard girl has no manners and she ended up hanging up on me.
After 20 years as a patient, my doctor retired. I was told when I called to schedule an appointment that I could not be seen by anyone in the practice.
I love the staff! I have been going to this office for years and I always feel comfortable, respected and welcome.
I get a little nervous in Drs offices, but Keisha, Melissa, and Dr. Michel always go above and beyond to make me comfortable. I’m very grateful to have such amazing providers!
Dr. Mark Maunder is great. The staff is rude and negative from the moment they greet you. So many people looking for work, and these ones can’t even be thankful for the one they have. If you’re going to work with people, you need to be polite at the very minimum.
Wife went there seeking medical help. Doctor was flippant to her claims and what she believed was affecting her body. Diagnosed her with something that has nothing to do with her actual problem, and then recommend her to someone else. Out of all the doctors we have gone to this was probably the most frustrating. Patients may not know how to diagnose things exactly, but they know there body more than you do. Please listen and do more to help solve the issue rather than assume you know whats best.
Dr. Harrison is wonderful. She is on time, fast (she knows these exams are not fun) and asks questions about my health and well-being. I would recommend her to anyone
Dr. Murphree and his nurses are the perfect combination of professional and caring. I am never left waiting or rushed once I get in to see him. Ive seen several OBs and its safe to say Ive found my favorite :)
Dr Michele is excellent! She listens and spends time discussing your concerns. I would highly recommend!
IF I COULD GIVE THEM A ZERO I WOULD. THEY ARE RUDE IN THE OFFICE. I CAN NEVER GET IN TOUCH WITH ANYONE. YOU CAN WAIT DAYS UPON WEEKS TO GET A CALLBACK FROM VOICEMAILS THAT THEY MAKE YOU LEAVE CONSTANTLY. I ALMOST DROVE UP THERE JUST TO TALK TO THEM, THAT IS HOW HARD THEY MAKE IT TO GET IN TOUCH WITH ANYONE, YOU LITERALLY HAVE TO GO THERE OR YOU WILL GET NOWHERE. NO MAS, I WILL NOW HAVE TO CHOOSE A NEW DOC.
We were told via the email portal that I could come in when there was an ultrasound, and that there would be one for our appointment today. When we arrived, they said no visitors and it would only be for the 20 weeks ultrasound.I took off work a few hours at work for this, and now Im just driving back home.If I could give 0 stars I would but unfortunately 1 is the minimum.
Shes a doctor that listen to her patients to plan the best of care. Shes respectful professional well educated. I love her staff her MA. The whole staff goes above and beyond
I waited nearly an hour in a gown sitting on an exam table for a five-minute exam. My time is valuable too.
It’s so difficult to make an appointment here. They don’t call back and the waits are ridiculous I waited two mad a half hours to do blood work and the doctors dismiss what you’re telling them. The nurses are nice but that’s about it.
Mary Harrison was not helpful. Made me feel like she didn’t want to help me. Just wanted me to get out as soon as possible. Talked to me for 5 minutes, handed me a pamphlet, and then charge me $120. Don’t recommend her
Dr. Stephanie Michell was very insensitive to my young daughters anxiousness about being at the gynecologist. I do not recommend her.
The absolute worst reception, worst experience with all office personnel of all time. They make everything about your visit miserable because they are miserable people who clearly don’t like their job. The only positive thing about this place is Dr. Harrison and Dr. Lucero.
Dr. Harrison treated me well with respect and she is very experienced in this. She helped me a lot and shes very kind with patients. 5/5 stars
Kind, extremely knowledgeable, personable, and took time take to answer all of my questions. Appointment was was on time- huge plus.
Dr.Harrison takes care of her patients and she genuinely cares. I was nervous my first visit but I think I’ve finally found my doctor.
Oh my gosh this place is just terrible. I have been trying to get an appointment for over two weeks and no one ever answers the phone. I only had someone call me once as I tried to make an appointment, but no one has called me back as of then. No wonder this place truly has very low/few stars. Dont recommend at all to anyone. I guess Ill look elsewhere.
Dr. Harrison is kind, candid, and efficient. She’s knowledgeable and helpful and engages during my appointments. I appreciate her service.
I tried making an appoint as a new patient and Valerie the receptionist who answered was rude and very unhelpful. She answered the phone with an attitude and had no motivation to help me. I will NOT be going here or recommending this Centre.
Hardly any wait time for my appointment. Quick and easy to get in and out. Wonderful bedside manner from Dr Harrison.
Love Dr. Anger. Her staff also helped care for me during my complications.
Worst experience ever. The doctors arnt personable what so ever and are very condescending. The reception desk dont know what to do half the time and they are not organized. They lose paperwork and do not take their patients seriously what so ever
I was trying to make a new patient appointment and the lady was EXTREMELY rude and with such an attitude… smh
I think Mary Beth Harrison took time to answer questions. She took an interest in my health. I was very satisfied with the visit.
Dr. Harrison is very cordial and and meets my gynecological needs. I’ve gone to her for years and highly recommend!
Amazing staff. Amazing doctors. Highly recommend. They truly care
Very organized and efficient. My wait time was less than 30 minutes.
I’ve been coming to Dr. Harrison for 4 years now. She’s great, thorough, kind and caring and so is her staff!
Front desk really lacks professionalism. I ended the call mid way through because who I spoke to sounded like I was a bother to her. Newly pregnant and will be looking else where.
Very unorganized staff. Still waiting on a phonecall from the surgery organizer. Shes never in her office. I know its the holidays, but people still get sick.
Everyone in this office was nice and moved at a timely manner. I have no complaints. I dont know why it got so many negative reviews.
Love Dr Michele. She is always very helpful and caring.
Front desk staff are ad disrespectiful as they can be(there are 2 good ones but the rest are just bad).doctors and nurses just have to.work harder and be nicer so people can overlook the bad front desk attitude.
I had a great experience with dr. Harrison. She is kind. I am glad i chose her.
Extremely rude receptionist! I feel unwelcome each time I’m here.
Probably the most unprofessional and most rude staff ever. My wife and i are going to another obgyn. Do not reccomand to anyone!
I have been trying to get an appointment for several days with no one answering phones. I will definitely be going somewhere else.
I like the doctors/nurses but the front desk people could be a bit less cold.
Awesome. Warmth and caring staff. Would highly recommend.
New to me doctor, worth the over one hour drive to get there.
Its always easy to share and confide with Dr. Harrison and her team.
Impressed with knowledge of doctor and friendliness of nurses and staff.
Love my doctor and nurses! So helpful and comforting
Everyone was just great very sweet & professional
I was truly skeptical of all the negative reviews on here but they are all correct. The staff is extremely incompetent.
Some improvements have been made you’ll just need to go to see what kind of experience you have for yourself
Always attentive. Answes any question. Personal and professional.
Great staff and Dr. Harrison is great. Highly recommend
Do not go here. This was one of the worst experiences. The staff is insensitive and unprofessional.
Horrible experience. Very unprofessional staff. Im going to find another doctor.
Despicable.Horrible staff rude negative office environment incompetent creepy doctor
Dr Harrison is personable, informative, and efficient!
Love Dr. Hernandez!
Everyone was very friendly and professional.
Fast and friendly service.
Very attentive physician.
Responsive, efficient and professional.
I miss Susan Orth.
Warm and professional care
Very positive experience!
Save your sanity, go ANYWHERE else.
