Triage nurse Tina was sooo amazing. She was very patient and nice with my baby and helped put me at ease. Shes very personalable and if I ever need urgent care again, Id be coming to see Tina. The rest of the staff was a great help as well. The receptionist asked for my sons insurance even though it was out of state to check eligibility and is visit was covered. That was a great relief because I literally only had $125 to spare. The NP was very nice and helpful and help eased my worries

Nice staff, but this is the third time my family has been overbilled after paying the copay at the time of the visit. Were done with Mercy Urgent Care. Their billing operators are also rude.... (Update, Down a Star) I already contacted your horrible billing customer service which only kept me on hold for 25 minutes this (almost an hour last time). My insurance company eventually was able to handle the overbilling situation BUT that didnt stop Mercy from charging my credit card on file an extra $215 A MONTH LATER.

When I pulled into the parking lot I was pleased that there was ample parking ,and easy to find. I walked in and they took me right away. The technician didn’t mind I was a little hard of hearing and she only had to stop and explain a couple of things. I’ll definitely go back here. The people there were first class!Second visit there, the staff is just so good at what they do there. Helping people get back on their feet, and not feeling any pain .Although I didn’t have an appointment. I got in and out in a reasonable amount of time. The 5 stars still stands by me:

I’ve been suffering with sinus infections on and off and felt like I could never get to the bottom of the problem but of course it has been mostly going away, so I also stupidly never remember to get into my primary care physician. Anyways, I made an appointment at this facility and was able to get in same day. The staff that greeted me was warm, kind, and quick. The facility is beautiful and clean. I I saw a PA named Troy who was absolutely incredible. He knew all the right questions to ask to get to the bottom of what was going on and I feel like I am finally headed into a season of relief. I cannot say enough good things about the entire team! I’ll never go anywhere else.

I went to this Urgent Care today for an acute medical concern. Ive never been do an Urgent Care before and wasnt sure what to expect. What I found was a very clean and orderly environment with helpful staff and a minimum wait time. Im sure there are times when theres a significant wait but there wasnt for me today. When I entered they had me register and they took me from the registration straight to a room. I probably waited in the room less than 10 minutes before a physicians assistant came in to see me. She was very engaging, asked relevant questions, and recommended a treatment that made sense to me. She asked my preferred pharmacy and sent the prescription electronically and then I was on my way. According to my travel record in Google Maps, I was in there just shy of 30 minutes start to finish. I would not hesitate to return to this location if I had an acute need in the future that could not be taken care of by my primary care physician.

Two stars for the wonderful person who stitched me up. No stars for those who told me I didnt need an appointment to get them out--just come in and well take them out, they said. I called and tried to make an appointment anyway, but they refused to make me one saying it was unnecessary. So I took off work, arrived at 2:30p on a Wednesday, they did not look busy, and when I said what I had arrived for, they said I need an appointment. Wait, what? Had to wait 4 hours and 15 minutes. Those who took my stitches out were kind and explained I should not have to have waited or been forced to make an appointment. So two more stars for them. My advice is dont let the front check in person tell you what to do. Ask for someone above them if they do not provide what is needed.

My husband visited this location on a Monday and was sent home with meds for tonsillitis. That Thursday, he was diagnosed with lymphoma.Moral of the story: don’t waste your time. They don’t have any imaging equipment and don’t run blood work, but have no issue billing you as an ER would.Other, less serious comments: My family has visited here probably a dozen times and has never had a pleasant interaction with the receptionists. My card has also been charged 1-2 weeks after visits for additional copays, and when I’ve asked at the desk to please be removed from this option, they can’t/won’t. The medical assistants have consistently been pleasant- basically the only bright spot in this facility. It doesn’t feel like it’s affiliated with Mercy at all.

PLEASE READ: I came into urgent care because of a lump on my chest. The entire appointment was a waste of time and basically throwing money away because they are not able to do any X-rays, scans, or tests to determine what the lump is. If you know youre not able to do any of these things, why would you take my money knowing you cannot help? Why would a doctors office not have that information posted so people know to find somewhere else to go. The doctor then focused on my other symptoms and tried testing me for strep and mano, which I clearly do not have and did not come in for. I am not sick, I have a lump that could be very serious! Even the nurse who came in after the doctor to do the tests on me was very confused as to why I would need these tests done and I told her I dont know. The doctor only wanted to do them because she realized it would look terrible to take my money then tell me there is nothing they can do for me because they cant even perform any tests!!! I told the doctor I do not have a primary care doctor since I recently moved here. Her final advice was go see a primary care doctor after I declined her random tests for things I know I do not have. Did not offer any referral or information on who I could go see, even though she said she was communicating with a doctor she works with at a different facility to see what he recommended. Did not bother to provide his information so I could schedule an appointment with him. After walking out and realizing this does not make any sense to begin with (because why do you need another doctors recommendation when you yourself are a doctor) I came back in. I asked the doctor for referral information where she seemed very inconvienced as she ate her food behind the desk which seems to be another common theme in the reviews. She then simply handed me the business card for the doctor next door, which she couldve just said walk next door because we wont be able to help you here. I am sorry but it is so terribly wrong to screw people like this who could be facing serious illness. You have no idea what I have going on and $75 is a lot of money to throw away, especially in todays economy. All health care workers care about anymore is money, not the well being of people. Please do not even bother commenting with your copy and paste message on how I should reach out to the manager with my concerns. I know damn well that wont do anything because you guys screw people all the time and get away with it.**for privacy purposes, I used my moms email in order to protect my identity as I do not normally post reviews on Google. This needed to be shared. If the name does not match any records, that is why but I was a patient seen today on 11/17/2022.**

May Day update:Unconfident that any GoHealth claims of escalation would produce anything different from what I had already heard such as on 2/20/23 I totally understand your concern, however, I can see that your visit was coded correctly based on the services provided, . . ., on 3/27/23 I escalated it myself by emailing a Compliance and Ethics email address that I found on the GoHealth website. On 3/29/23 I started seeing activity on MyMercy -- GoHealth was rebuilding my bill with a status of In Progress and they had corrected all three of the coding mistakes that I had pointed out to them. Alas, the next day the bill had its status changed to Paid Off and they still wanted my copay. The following day, Miscellaneous Charges were added and it appeared that they wanted my extra $40 payment also (exactly what is PB Specialized Patient Debit Adj?). No email or phone contact from Compliance and Ethics at GoHealth, just a revised bill on MyMercy that is still wrong. GoHealth has provided me with no documentation that supports their billing position, and thus far, they seem unwilling to refund the $90 that they owe me. Earlier today, in case they lost it, I sent GoHealth images of their portion of the insurance EOB. Since GoHealth generated the diagnostic and procedure codes used in the insurance claim and they received the results of the insurance determination, none of the data in the EOB should be new to them. This unbelievable billing SNAFU should NEVER happen to a patient. This is a black eye for GoHealth and sullies the reputation of Mercy Hospital, since the Mercy name is associated with this facility. I have no idea how long this dispute is going to last, but the documentation supports my position that GoHealth owes me $90 and I owe them NOTHING, so I hope to prevail in my David vs. Goliath story. My new rating is ZERO STARS, so boycott this business or use at your own peril.Original review:I went to the Mercy GoHealth Urgent Care in Kirkwood during September of 2019 to get my left hand and wrist examined the day after I had a bicycle accident. The staff treated me well and after the examination and x-rays, they gave me a referral to Orthopedics. About one year later, I return to the same facility to get some swelling and redness from blistering mosquito bites looked at. Once again the medical staff treated me well; however, the insurance claim for the 2020 visit was sent to my 2019 insurance provider instead of my 2020. I told them of their error and they submitted it to the proper insurance company. When I get the bill for my portion of the 2020 visit, it includes a new bill for my 2019 visit, which now lists the 2019 visit as uninsured and of course it shows market rates for the visit instead of the much less in-network negotiated rates. I call the billing department to point out the error. Theyll look into it. The next month, I get another bill which still has the wrong information for my 2019 visit which the insurance EOB shows was fully covered by my 2019 insurance. On the phone again with billing, and the agent states that they will freeze my account while they figure out what happened. I received a third bill, but since I thought that my account was frozen, I did nothing and received no further bills -- I thought that the problem was solved. To my great surprise, I get a letter from a collection agency at the end of 2022 -- the billing SNAFU continues. Many phone calls to all parties and collection of documentation, with no resolution as of today. I pray that if you receive treatment at this facility, that your billing goes through correctly and you dont get to experience the heck of a mess that I am dealing with. Two stars only because the medical staff was good. All of the rest are eternally lost due to unbelievably slow resolution of billing issues. What happened to prompt and thorough reviews of billing issues?

(I just expect to wait at urgent care, especially if it is truly an urgent walk-in situation so Im not taking stars off for having to wait.)My son landed wrong on his foot and ankle jumping into the pool yesterday. We decided to go straight to urgent care instead of watching it for a day and then calling the pediatrician b/c we have a trip coming up and only a couple business days to get everything in order before leaving.Anyway! We walked in and Tina, who is an x-ray tech and was working intake, welcomed us and took all our info. She sets a professional and warm tone for the center. She immediately and effortlessly developed a rapport with my son and me, as well as with the other two patients who were there at the same time as we were. The wait time when we checked in was 1 hour and 18-37 mins roughly. There were 4 online check-in patients before us, but they didnt show up, so we were shown to a room sooner than the estimate. A nurse came in to do vitals and get the story of what happened. Soon after that, the PA, Samantha, came in to examine my sons ankle. Samantha was professional and very caring, too. After that, Tina came back in to get x-rays. Once again, she was friendly and engaging with my son and me. About 15 mins after the x-rays, PA Samantha came back in to let us know the good news that it was just an ankle sprain rather than a break. She gave us her instructions and we were free to go.After we left, my son kept saying how nice and funny Tina was.Tl;dr-- Overall, an extremely positive and convenient experience. We were out in under two hours, which was faster than I expected. I also appreciated the later hours, since many of the other urgent cares close to us were already closed by 6:15 pm when we were arriving.Thank you for taking great care of us! I hope we wont back, but if we have to be, this Mercy location will be our first choice.

Fast forward less than 6 hours, I had to call an ambulance for my daughter because she spiked a fever and couldnt stop shaking, was puking every 30 seconds and falling down from dizziness.Er Dr said she had a horrible double ear infection that almost ruptured her ear drums. Walked in was told 1.5 hour wait. Which is fine. Was told by Tina in a rude fashion if I wanted to stay on “HER” list I needed to wait in the car and not leave. She made the same statement to several other people and they just left. When I was called to come back inside for treatment, Tina proclaimed, “oh you stayed, I was hoping you would’ve left” this is highly unprofessional and I would expect much more from a greeter at a medical facility. She also spoke of not adding more people to the list at 11am. They could’ve been legitimately booked but I got the impression she just didn’t want any more patients to be seen. Edit: I actually lowered my rating today despite a positive experience today because Ive had such awful care there in the past. All in all, theyre a 2/5 for me. The x-ray tech in particular is pretty awful to people, and made me sit and wait for two hours in the past after an x-ray was ordered from Maplewood Urgent Care (which should really get its own x-ray machine). Today I was seen by Troy and was quite happy with my care.Accidentally went here instead of the one where my doctor had sent my orders for COVID, strep, and flu testing. Which was good in a way, because the other location is COVID testing only now and is a drive-up or something. There was some confusion with the front desk receptionist because I asked if they did labs (by which I meant the tests above) and was told no. So I almost left, but we figured it out together and the receptionist was all in all very helpful. My one suggestion would be to avoid gendered language (like calling people girl) in this time of more complex gender identities. So I decided to be seen by one of their physicians. Their room setup is basic but kind of nice. The nurse was very patient with my hoarse voice while I explained my symptoms and the tests I needed to have done. But they did not want to do the flu test (not flu season--fair enough, but my doctor had ordered one), a strep test (if the antibiotics didnt help, its not strep), and I wasnt offered an RSV test. I could have been COVID tested five minutes from my home without $50 in Uber fares, but thats neither here nor there. I felt some answers from the doctor who saw me were a little harsh--I asked about my SpO2 because it had been low earlier in the week and was basically told its fine now as though I were being dishonest, for example. The doctor also didnt offer any sort of conclusion other than, You can go now. I had to ask if theyd seen strep in my throat and what I should be doing about not feeling well enough to be around people after 13 days in isolation. All in all, not a great medical experience. (You can see below that Mercy replied with a form letter to thank me for my positive review. Guess this is what that looks like to them.) Im sure these folks are overworked and getting the same questions a lot--but Id also just lived through two weeks of fevers and lethargy and dragging myself through work (from home) shifts. A little reassurance, even just that I was doing the right thing or would be okay, would have been wonderful. The front desk receptionist did say something along the lines of, Were going to get it figured out, and that bit of kindness meant the world.

The staff here are rude and unfriendly!! My mom went because she hurt her toe which so happened to be broke once they finally decided to see her and get X-rays. The first time we went they said it would be over a 2 hour wait. Ok whatever. She added her name to the list with confirmation of a 1:45 pm appointment. That’s a long time to just sit and wait, so we went up the street to get something to eat. No one had eaten at this time and medicine had to be taken. Well I guess somehow that 2 hour wait turned into a 30 minute wait and they called and said they could see her now. Well we were just 5 minutes away and said we could be there. The lady told my mom “no, we are too busy for that; we will have to skip you” I said well will the 1:45 appointment still be, she said no! Ok that’s interesting. Well we took my mom back anyway and they said they will get her registered dry rudely. I waited out in the car. My mom called to tell me that they just left out taking X-rays and it will be a 35-40 minute wait. I told her we will wait. Not even 5 minutes passed she called me right back to let me know she in fact broke her toe. In the process the rude so called NP Jen rudely said “you call whoever you want after, but I need to get this done”!! Wait are you serious. My mom had me on speaker phone and I let Jen know that was rude and she could have said that differently. She said to me well, I’m trying to get this taken care of, no apology or anything. My mom said well this is my daughter and I’m trying to inform her of what’s going on and she works for Mercy too. The lady Jen said oh ok that’s good. So at that point I decided to go in to address the matter. Which I will be following up with higher ups in Mercy because I know this is not the type of behavior Mercy mission statement stands for. This is the type of behavior that happens to elderly when people don’t think they have loved ones. I will not stand for it. This is very unacceptable!

I had a virtual visit at 7pm, the doc set up an appointment at an urgent care for me to have a chest xray. I showed up for the appointment the next day at 10am and was told there were no rad techs available until after 2pm. She rescheduled me for 3pm. I came back at 3pm and encountered Amy. Amy refused to treat me until I had passed a COVID test, which would take 3-5 days. I told her I had a chronic issue with walking pneumonia and was fully vaccinated. She still refused. I called my doctor’s office and they called the clinic and put in orders for today for a COVID test and a chest xray, then instructed me to return to the clinic. When I arrived, Amy informed me haughtily that I had missed my appointment and “chosen to leave.” I explained to her that my doctor had called, put in orders, and told me to return. Another woman then stepped in to tell me to go to yet another clinic down the road, which by this point, was closed. I came back to Amy who then gave me the silent treatment for about ten minutes before disappearing. I tried to talk to someone else in the front and he said he couldn’t help me. I then read in my patient notes on the portal that someone named Janice at the Urgent care, who cannot spell the word “physician”, actually wrote that I never showed up in the morning, essentially, that I’m a liar trying to pull some scam. I’m now at St. Luke’s. Just had my xray. Was quick, easy, and friendly. While waiting to speak to Amy, I learned her name because she was also picking a fight with the woman in front of me. Amy needs a new job. Been a Mercy patient for a couple of decades. The St. Luke’s staff were incredulous. I did have a lung issue, atelectasis, and I needed a breathing treatment and some medication, not COVID. It’s a good thing I didn’t rely on this Mercy location for care.

After I left I noticed on my paperwork my blood pressure was through the roof. Not one mention of this during my visit. I called the billing department, waiting on hold for 43 minutes. When someone finally picked up they hung up immediately. Youre better off going to the hospital.

I went to the Kirkwood urgent care recently for a COVID test. I am a medical provider myself (PA) but I didnt disclose that because I dont want to be treated differently than any other patient. The front desk and the MA/nurse were great! However, when S Benko, the NP, finally visited me (even though there was no one else there) she only walked in, awkwardly stood there for 15-20 seconds, asked my symptoms and then walked out. She left the door open so I could see her standing chatting with the nurses for roughly 10 minutes while I just waited for her to return. When she returned, she was silent for another awkward 30 seconds before starting her physical exam. She didnt feel for lymph node swelling or gland in my throat, even though I had a sore throat. She didnt listen to my lungs, even though I had a cough and was there for COVID testing. Lastly, she didnt offer advice for congestion treatment or education on the possibility of it being a sinus infection or even the common cold. She documented normal findings in my mouth and lungs, even though she didnt examine them. I only went there for the COVID test, so I was not needing medical education or a physical exam. However, I think the general public should receive better treatment than what I was provided.

This Urgent Care bills you as an ER visit even though there is nothing about it that is like an ER. I saw a nurse practitioner for 3 minutes, they did absolutely nothing for me and billed me for an expensive ER visit. Cannot get anyone from mercy to call me back or help with any of my concerns. Go to total access urgent care not affiliated with a hospital. They do not bill as an ER visit.

Terrible - misleading price! $317 for a 5 minute visit regarding a rash where I was told to take Benadryl. Originally billed to insurance as Emergency Room Visit to justify the high charge; later changed to Outpatient Visit but no change to charge. Ive been told many times by the clinic and billing that is the normal charge for a visit to this walk-in clinic. AVOID this clinic, unless $317 is what you expect to pay. After following up with clinic as requested below, they confirmed the $317 charge for a 5 minute doctor visit was appropriate and standard charge for BCBS covered patients, and the emergency room visit was not an error! AVOID!!

My husband just tried to get a flu shot at the new Kirkwood location and was told it would be $35 cash only. The website says they take his insurance and flu shots are covered at 100% as preventative. He was told they aren’t running insurance for flu shots. Hard pass!!! Good thing Total Access Urgent Care is just up the road! I have historically been so pleased with the Mercy system and it has been my system of choice. How disappointing they are providing such a different experience.

I made an appointment for 10:22 am. It says they do xrays and I stated on checkin I needed an X-ray. Got there and waited 20 minutes to see the receptionist that was too busy socializing with the lady she was checking in to deal with anyone else. I know all about her kids now. When she finally got to me and I gave her the referral she said,” oh we don’t do xrays here.” Didn’t bother to tell me where they do xrays . By this time I was the only patient there. Bottom line - making an appointment is pointless 2) they have no idea what they do or don’t do at their own facilities. 3) the nurse, receptionist , who knows what else her duties entail could care less about her job 4) as usual Mercy doesn’t deliver. Went around the corner to St Luke’s Urgent Care. Got right in and the staff -they have a full staff , care about the patient and like. Their jobs!

First I went to one of those other Urgent Care places and they were extremely rude and cold because I have Medicaid. They wanted to take my money and offer me a discount instead. Seriously?? Then they told me that they heard MercyGo Urgent Care accepts Medicaid. Then they asked me if I could step aside now so that they can help their customers. Needless to say MercyGo Urgent Care was 100% better than those money hungry competitors. I would definitely recommend MercyGo Urgent Care to everyone who wants to be treated like a decent human being.🙏👍👍🥰Saint Louis, MO

Ive been here 3 times and each time I walk in Im treated unkindly and like Im a burden on the staff for me to be there. The actual words out of the ladys mouth as I walked in were, Weve got 6 people already in front of you so I dont know if you want to wait or not. Its very unprofessional and thats why I ended up taking my business to Total Access.

I’ve had fevers for the past three days. Covid test was negative. Decided to come here today to see what was wrong since I spiked 103.2. I walk in and I’m told there’s an hour and a half wait. Then I overhear two people in there talking about how they are there to get covid tested to go to a music festival… see your SICK patients first. Absolutely ridiculous.Update: I had bacterial pneumonia and had to be hospitalized for a week!
