Extremely long wait times. Every single time, Ive had to wait a minimum of 30-45 minutes past my scheduled appointment time despite arriving early. There are signs asking patients not to bring children, and there is a patient with her baby, but they refused to let my partner come in the clinic with me (same time). The receptionist told me that due to the new law patients cant have someone with them. There IS no law about people coming with patients, and there are NO signs about policies concerning patients bringing a support person with them. I have been here several times now and not once has it been mentioned in reminder emails, texts, or on the website where I scheduled that we could not have a support person with us. Im only here because I have no alternative but I definitely wont be back and wont recommend this location.
The staff was nice but the pricing is ridiculous they charge so much and they don’t work with you if your low income
Gave my boyfriend the plan B with no problems!! All the staff were very nice.
I called to reschedule last minute. They had no issue doing so. very helpful. I’m so grateful for Planned Parenthood. I have been going to them since I was a teenager. I’m now 36.
Since I recently moved from Houston I had a hard time finding a place to get my Pap smear done! Staff was super friendly and the rooms super clean! Dr was fast and answer all my questions!! For sure coming back here! I’d recommend this place 100%!!!
I cannot speak highly enough of this facility and its staff. When I was having a serious health concern that started back in November 2022 and continued till February 2023, this was the only facility that was able to rush me in and get me the care and treatment I needed to start feeling better. The office itself is new and clean; the staff is very welcoming and friendly. They really go out of their way to make you feel comfortable when youre there. I am so glad I chose to come to this location to receive my care, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone else who is having difficulty getting the healthcare they need because of either their insurance (all the fees Ive been charged for my care were reasonable) and/or access to appointments (the hours operations and ease of scheduling are great versus struggling for months to see a doctor elsewhere).I would also like to add that there are often protesters who sit out in front of the clinic to either mislead, misguide, or shame individuals seeking NORMAL, EVERY DAY healthcare at this facility, be STD testing, mammograms, contraception, general health services, etc. Planned Parenthood offers so much more in terms of total healthcare beyond what is often villainized by the media. Dont be fooled by them or anyone else telling you different and dont be ashamed to come to this location just because some stranger is out in front pushing their own agenda. Get the care you need from well-trained and knowledgeable professionals.
First time ever at a Planned Parenthood. Was extremely nervous but the staff was very kind and helpful. I do advise to try and go a little earlier than your appt. It got pretty busy and I didn’t get seen until an hr after my appointment. That’s also including me filling in all my info online before hand. But I didn’t mind waiting anyway. Very clean offices and rooms. Everyone there even the lady at the front desk were very sweet and respectful. Would definitely recommend.
Got my implant removed here and was very nervous but the intake nurse and the doctor was so very kind to me everyone was very kind, I have a fear of elevators and the only way to get up to the clinic is by elevator and they let me go with someone on the elevator cause I was very nervous. Was also very nervous about my implant removal but the nurse and doctor were very kind and sympathetic to me and did everything to ease my anxiety. Highly recommend this clinic and their team.
Everyone I met was professional and kind. I feel for anyone working here because in Texas it’s a rough place to be. They do great work and hope they continue to keep making strides to provide affordable care. Which they do. It’s annoying that they have to deal with bible thumpers all day every day they are open when they are doing all they can to promote healthy living. My appointment went well. No complaints, and super grateful I can acquire the same services I had with my PcP at a PP. My PCP retired and caused me to search for other outlets. I am grateful to everyone at this office, and thank you for your hard work and dedication to the community. ❤️👍
The nurses know me every time I come in to pick up meds, theyre always really nice. The woman performing my exam was very gentle, friendly and professional- nobody likes getting that exam, but she made it as pleasant as possible! She was a cancer survivor with a great attitude, really inspiring. I only wish the hours went a little longer later in the week or had occasional Saturdays, but they do have some longer hours early in the week.
1) PP automated call system is a looping catastrophe.... if you get halfway through the ridiculously long message again, don’t bother staying on the line. Your call is not actually “extremely important to them” as It hangs up automatically at the end of the second rant.2) My first experience there, the woman at the desk upstairs was incredibly rude and abrasive. Not someone you want handling physically or emotionally delicate situations.3) Just under 2 months later, I’m still experiencing physical complications (I’ll spare you the details...), just know it definitely warrants an exam. I tried calling , was hung up on, and decided to make the 30 min drive during walk ins. Low and behold, they have NO PROVIDER DURING THEIR WALK IN HOURS.A different woman at the desk proceeds to say I can make an appointment, but none are available until over a week later (dismissing my complications altogether).Seeing my annoyance, she asks if I’d like her to call other locations to see if they currently have a provider (YES!). Instead, she hands me a card with numbers/locations, once again, leaving me to the loops. If you have any other option, DO NOT USE THIS LOCATIONRecap: phones you can’t reach people on/will hang up on you, rude/abrasive women at the desk, no providers during walk ins, disregard situations that warrant help.....
I had a nexplanon done here and let me tell you, first the nurse who inserted it for me put the nexplanon on the wrong part of my arm! (She put it in the back of my arm rather than the side where its suppose to go) It wasnt until 3 months into having it that I couldnt lift my arm and I was under so much pain that I finally decided to get it removed, well day of the appointment arrived and it was the same nurse, she began looking for it and notice where it was that she commented wow this is not suppose to be back here, no wonder youre in pain did I mention to her that she was the one who put it back there!! Anyways long story short I still to this day have pain in my arm from her making a mistake and then trying to convince me it had moved.... like no lady YOU put it there. I definitely would recommend you ask a doctor to do it for you or a nurse who has more experience at the planned parenthood office. I wish I could remember her name so yall know to stay away from her specifically.
Very professional clean place! Went in for birth control & help with irregular periods & got tested for diabetes & thyroid problems since one or both of these could be one of the underlying causes for my issues. Also got a suggestion on what I can do to help with weight loss & was told what the proper steps are to get me on a birth control soon that will work for me. I finally feel well taken care of & like they genuinely want to help me live a better life. Was told about payment plans for treatments once my lab results are in. Would definitely recommend this clinic!
Everyone coming in and checking in.. even the MA who took me in the room was amazing. But when I got the nurse who preformed my PAP … lord have mercy she was so rude and TERRIBLE. Made me feel so uncomfortable by just how negative she was and how dumb she would make me feel by talking. It was my first time and thought wow the people here are actually really nice like I’ve heard before from others but that nurse just ruined it all for me.
The lady working the appointment line for starters is not friendly and quite rude.Went to the appointment anyway and arrived 15 minutes early like directed. An hour and 20 minutes later I asked when I was going to be called seeing as it was way past my appointment time and she called everyone else already. She reassured me she wasnt taking the walk-ins before me and that I would be next. Well another 2 people were called so I asked to pull my paperwork and that I was leaving. She again told me I was going to be next, but I made sure to reiterate the fact that it was almost an hour and a half past my appointment time and clearly appointment times mean nothing seeing as everyone was taken before me anyway. Will no longer be donating to this organization, nor supporting anything they do. Worst one Ive ever been to.
I always love going to this Planned Parenthood because it’s close and the nurses and doctors are always helpful and informative. I was experiencing some light headedness on 9/27 and they were able to see me same day. The wait is long depending if you’re coming during lunch time since they are understaffed and there are protesting someone times on the sidewalk but non aggressive. People need to know Planned Parenthood is for women’s health! There are not many places a woman can go to feel safe and secure and Planned Parenthood is one of those places. Please support #womenmatter #womenshealth
I came here expecting to have to wait at least for a while. I brought my school work with me and it was completely fine. I was there for about 3 hours--I had an appointment-- but I came expecting to wait. NP, even the people at the front desk and nurses were really nice and helpful. They have a really small office with a limited staff of PAs, NPs, or doctors able to oversee more complicated procedures, and for that circumstance they are doing an amazing job.
I just got my Nexplanon removed here. My appointment was at 10:30, and I was out before noon, so that wasnt too bad.I had made my appointment request online last week and it took a couple days for them to get back to me, and then I just had to click on an email confirmation. No phone call (other than voicemail confirmation). Yay for online appointments! No protestors out front. Not sure if too cold or what. The staff was very nice. Reception, medical assistant, Dr, everyone I spoke to was super nice. I have to wonder if some of these reviews are fake reviews from pro lifers.Procedure itself was very easy. Numbed the area, pulled it right out, barely felt it. And Im a baby about pain. Dr was great!I only wish they offered Essure at this location. Other than that, great experience!
I would give 0 stars if I could. I am a new patient, I have called 7 times within 30 minutes. It will ring and put me through the recording and then ends by hanging up on me saying to call back in a few minutes. Out of the 7 calls, one person answered by the Nikki, asking me to hold. She put me back in the queue and hung up on me again. I have heard the recording many times and it refers patients to go online. I went online and I can not message or schedule through the patient portal. Horrible service.
Wouldn’t go back here I usually don’t leave bad reviews, but they didn’t seem to care I was getting right prescription, just wanted to get me out of there, super unfriendly and any question I had they just said book another appointment instead of answering a simple question. Super unfriendly and waste of time and money.
Small clinic with limited funding and protestors outside everyday. The longest Ive had to wait was for the appointment to initially start on a busy day, which, I understand. Ive come to this clinic tons of times over the past 3 years because the people working here are utterly friendly and accommodating.Id question reviews complaining about rude service, the people that I expirienced at this clinic were above and beyond nice.
Unprofessional, doctor walked in on me, had me confused with another patient, left, then had me wait for 40 minutes naked on a table (usually its like 15) came in asked how long i was waiting, came back and knew nothing of why I was there, didnt shake hands, seemed bothered when I asked questions about my health and prescriptions, used the excuse that she was new so she didnt know things about my questions or offer suggestions besides staying with what I have. Dr. Was named Ola. Front desk was nice. I wont be back to this location. It was my first visit as its closer to my work then my previous location on San Pedro, which now, I wont mind the drive. I feel like I didnt get the help, respect or attention I needed.
Very helpful! The volunteer at the front desk was awesome. So was the desk lady upstairs. Planned parenthood got defunded in the state of Texas so there’s no more free pregnancy tests but they were able to point me to the right direction of where there are free services. If you want to get tested here it’s $20 for urine test and $40 for blood test.Best of luck!
Every time I try to call and set up an appointment, their phone seems to always be off or busy. At their other location, they had me waiting for an hour in the room even though I had an appointment. When I went to ask if they had forgotten about me, they said the doctor will be in shortly. 30 minutes later, she finally shows up. (Mind you, the office was empty, I was the only patient in there.) Extremely frustrating and disappointing.
I love planned parent hood. So clean very professional. and all staff at this location are beautiful souls. The bad ratings are from the horrible pro lifers trying to stop women from having basic rights and medical care.
Amazing group of people working here. From the receptionist to the doctor and all of the staff in between, I just want to say thank you. Thank you for making an incredibly hard experience a little more bearable. Thank you for continuing to allow women to have a choice even in this cruel state of Texas. Thank you for all that you do. ❤️
I went in for my yearly check pap. “Ola” is a new practitioner there and she was extremely insensitive and unprofessional. After I told them several times I did not want the hpv test because I could not afford it (i was diagnosed over a decade ago and was tested a year ago and its the same results) but she kept pressuring me and putting fear in my head that if I didn’t take the test something worse could happen to me. I understand she has to provide the test but to be so insensitive is not the way to go. I started crying and when she started my exam I felt so uncomfortable with her touching me. Now prior to seeing her, a nurse was asking me the usual questions and I told her before being seen that I was still on my period. She told me that was okay. And my previous experience I have had no problem with anyone examining me while on my period. Ola proceeded with the exam and when she inserted the tool into my vagina and asked if I was bleeding. To which I said yes and before I could tell her anything she yanked it out of my vagina and said she could not do the exam because of my period. I was furious. I understand that some may or may not be comfortable examing a patient on their period BUT IF THAT IS THE CASE YOU NEED TO LET PATIENTS KNOW THAT BEFORE SEEING THEM! AND WHY WOULD THE OTHER NURSE TELL ME OTHERWISE??? AGAIN this is the first time I have ever been denied an exam due to my period. No one had any compassion or sensitivity to my situation. So instead of finishing my exam, even though she had already started, she just dismissed me because of her own pride. I reported her to HR but they will probably do nothing. I swear to God in all the years of going to planned parenthood have i ever been told “don’t come if you are on your period”. NEVER! PLEASE BE MORE COMPASSIONATE TO YOUR PATIENTS! PLEASE BE SENSITIVE TO YOUR PATIENTS! I was humiliated. This woman touched my body and stuck a tool in and out of me so abruptly. I NEVER want to go back to this location ever again. And her being “new” is NO EXCUSE. I will never go back to Babcock and I hope for the sake of other patients that they reconsider having Ola as one of their practitioners. DO NOT GET EXAMINED BY OLA! TERRIBLE SERVICE! SHAME ON YOU!!!
If I could give 0 stars I would. Horrible service. I made an appointment and it took almost 3 hours for me to be seen. When I asked the provider why it took so long, she said that they often triple book appointments. I find that completely ridiculous. It is also really hard to get anyone on the phone. I have called 13 times in a row to ask a simple question and no one answers. Please do yourself a favor, avoid this place and go elsewhere.
Every time i call i get niki it seems. She is always so nice on the phone. The doctor there is more of a get in and get out type of doctor and it was really harsh after waiting 55 mins before she came in. Niki makes it awesome though! The doctor was my only complaint.
My experience here started great! The lady at the front was super personable, the next girl who called me back and asked me all the questions was also really great! But then they took me to a room and told me to wait for someone to talk to me because of a uti. I was already late for my college class in san marcos so asked to leave, I couldnt wait forever. The lady at the desk assured me that someone would only be a couple minutes...I was in that room for 53 MINUTES. I know because I kept track. Finally I told them I need to leave. I was showed to the managers office I guess? That ethnic lady was extremely rude. So I put 2 and 2 together to figure out she was the one who needed to talk to me, but she was just chilling in her office?? While Im waiting almost an hour. Her convo took 2 minutes, the lazy lady couldnt take 2 min of her chill time to talk to me? Sooo unprofessional. I loved everyone else in that office though, they were sweet and genuinely seemed sorry. I just got a oh sorry for the wait from the jamaican lazy manager.
Went as a walk in at 5pm on a monday, they removed my implant. Was in and out within 30 minutes. Great service and availability.
Staff was extremely friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I set up an appointment online to remove my implant and it was smooth sailing from there. Im surprised this place doesnt have better reviews.
When you go here and get labs done, and they leave a voicemail for you to call them back, and they never answer!!! You can call the whole day, and they never answer; it’s sad enough when you have to call a different planned Parenthood to get the information from this location. This location is not that great, unlike the other area; at least they pick up and treat you like you’re a human being.
Ive been going here off and on for a year and the nurses are always friendly and accommodating, and they remember me too.! They make me feel welcome. I definitely recommend this location.
I called yesterday to make an appointment I asked how long does it normally take for an appointment to get birth control I was told 1 hour shouldnt be any longer. So I made a late appointment I have now been her for 2 hours 22 minutes wth! Would not recommend just go see your actual OBGYN this is ridiculous!
Ive received the best care from this location, and they were all very friendly and gave me the information I needed to begin birth control. My only concern is that activists have been targeting this and the Marbach location, making it very difficult to schedule an appointment.
Beautiful location, awesome staff. But contrary to the website THIS LOCATION DOES NOT ACCEPT BLUE CROSS. So if that is your insurance, switch your appointment.
Everyone here is super friendly and supportive. I couldnt be more happy with my visits. They take very good care of all your needs and try to make sure your as comfortable as possible.
This is my favorite location. The staff here is always super friendly! The nurses and doctors are great, they always make me laugh and feel super comfortable. My go to for all my women’s care.
Everyone was so friendly and nice. Only had to wait a few minutes before being seen. Escorts outside were very helpful and I appreciate them for being there.
Literally lied to my face, sent me to another location just to lie again. Keep giving me the run around and appointment times are drastically off. Scheduled for 9, seem much later
Ive called about a dozen times over the last 15 minutes to ask one simple question. If they accept payment via my insurance provider. No one has answered the phone, Im very disappointed with their lack of professional staff.
Do not go here if you have blue cross blue shield. Even though you can select from the drop down when booking an appointment.
The staff was very kind and helpful very professional, the dr who did my exam was very understanding and made me feel comfortable
Always extremely packed, usually protesters out front, and the only location in town that isnt income based. The facility is the nicest Ive seen though.
Everyone from the front desk staff to the nurses and the doctor was super friendly and helped me answer all of my questions.
Extremely Friendly staff. I only waited a few minutes. Beautiful and clean building.I will absolutely be going here again!
I can’t get through.. Their website to schedule an appointment isn’t letting me set up my appointment. So I’ve been calling multiple times to schedule it and all I get is the answering recording and it just drops my call after it’s done feeding me all of their info. Not sure what’s happening.
Ive been calling all week for one simple question. They never answer the phone and hang up on you if youre waiting too long
Iv been here for an hour just waiting for a refill. Iv managed to count every. Single. Piece of dirt on the floor in this amount of time.
I love every body here,I arrive earlier and They take care me right away, doctor look like family
I’m being honest they were cool people and professional at least with me. Guess I’m the lucky one by reading these comments.
I have been calling for days straight trying to get through, i even tried the patient portal to try and creat an account and it keeps saying system error. Horrible experience
I made an appointment to get a blood test asked if they could look up my medicate and if it would cover it and I was told that it would The lady in the front that takes paper work didnt wanna do her job she said that she could look up my medicate but that it wouldnt cover the blood test so Id have to pay but my medicate does cover it so I had to go to a different place she had a horrible attitude very disrespectful
Received care to supplement care with my regular provider. Everyone was super professional.
Very helpful and friendly staff. The waiting was a bit long but either way. An amazing experience.
The staff couldnt have been more helpful and professional. The center is beautiful and they take insurance.
Never get a response from calls or messages.Would be nice if the Provider responded or followed up.
The calling system is ridiculous, I’ve been calling multiple times for an hour , and no answer. The call just hangs up after the message is over.
Couldnt have been happier with my experience here. Everyone was so supportive, helpful and kind.
If women cant get health care here then you should close the place down. Customer service is a joke.
Would be nice if they could answer the phone. Been trying to contact them for a week and I call multiple times a day.
Every time I try to call this location they hang up on me. 🙄
This location has a lot of protestors in the morning. The parking lot has a lot of space.
I’ve been calling for multiple days and can’t even get anyone on the phone
Dont go here called inquiring about a service and the woman was extremely rude
Long wait times but nice ladies
Very nice customer service
I felt very judged by their doctor there.
I always get great care from this location.
Why does this place even have an answering system that hangs up on you?
An hr wait with appointment
Thank you for all the services you provide
Learn how to answer y’all’s phone calls
This location is always closed
