I had an amazing experience with SDFC. I went through one egg retrieval and 2 frozen embryo transfers to create my sweet little family. Dr. Kettel and his team were extremely knowledgeable, kind and caring through an already stressful process. I never felt like just a number while working with SDFC. I think going into your treatment knowing it’s a process and trusting your doctor and team is a huge factor in the success of your treatment. I would recommend SDFC to anyone looking to grow their family.
SDFC made our dream of having children a reality not once, but twice! We couldn’t be happier or more grateful for Dr Friedman and her team of amazing nurses and staff! We were with another fertility clinic first and had hit a dead end. Dr Friedman gave us a fresh, innovative approach. She was caring and practical which was just what we needed! The process was clear and everyone was extremely knowledgeable and experienced. The facilities are beautiful and welcoming. There have even been some enhancements to the process since my first child which shows that they are constantly evolving and improving the patient experience. Truly miracle-makers! They should be very proud of the amazing work they do. We are forever thankful! 🩵🩷
Overall, I had a terrific experience with San Diego Fertility. I am a gay single man who was creating embryos with an egg donor to use with a surrogate. Dr. Park was fantastic - one of the warmest and sensible doctors Ive ever talked to. The only issue I would say was challenging at times was that Dr. Park did not give out a phone number to reach her. I understand the privacy issue involved, but it was challenging to reach her when I had a question or two. There were also a few times where the assistant(s) were not clued in on decisions made and sent out emails that did not represent the current situation. My experience of being at SDFC for the first embryo transfer was great! They gave me a tour of the place, and everyone was extremely warm, professional and friendly. My surrogate also said she was treated well there when I wasnt present.
This week I graduated from this amazing clinic for the second time because I am currently pregnant with my second surrogacy pregnancy thanks to the amazing men and women that work here. The facility is beautiful and welcoming, and the staff are super nice. All though I am happy to have graduated because it means another step in this journey I am sad to say good bye to the facility and the people working there. They really make you feel seen and respected and their approach is top notch. If and probably when I decide to do another surrogacy or if I ever need to use them for my own reproductive needs I am definitely looking forward to coming back here either way. I cant recommend this facility enough. Much love to everyone who works here. Dr. D is amazing in and of himself. ♥️👶🏼🥰
If I could give more stars, I would. As a surrogate, SDFC far exceeded any expectations I had for my experience. Every single person was so attentive, caring, and truly supportive. Dr. D is one of a kind. He went above and beyond to ensure that I was okay every step of the way. The beautiful girl I gave birth two turned two yesterday! As I think about a second journey, it would be my hope to work with Dr. D and team again.
I cant rave about my care at SDFC enough. Everyone was always so nice and patient with all of my questions. They made sure and supported my treatment plan that I saw for myself and I am forever thankful to say that our plan worked after just 2 rounds. There are lots of appointments involved but they made sure I completely understood the process and Kat always was so responsive with any emails I sent to her with questions. Highly recommend if your pregnancy journey is taking longer than expected or isnt as easy as expected.
SDFC was the worst experience and would never recommend this clinic to anyone. One star is more than I would give. I normally don’t write reviews but in this case I feel morally obligated to. Understanding this is a business to make money that is how you are treated. You’re only a number with dollar signs attached. The clinic is extremely disorganized and not supportive. This is a journey and I was not guided or supported. If I didn’t advocate for myself nothing would have been done. I miscarried which is a true outcome and I fully understand that. I never received a call from the nurse and had to beg to get an appointment with the Dr to help me better understand what happened. We fell into the 1% of people having this specific embryo split resulting in a miscarriage. There are no words to explain how terrible this process was. I am one to easily separate the emotion from business and as a business owner myself I’m surprised based off my experience this clinic is still in business. When you think of the word clinic, it is getting as many people in and out getting in as you possibly can. Cattle Call. That is SDFC. The day of our transfer my husband and I asked when we should leave and the response was ,” When Alexa tells you to leave.” In speaking with the office manager regarding my concerns her response was , “ sorry you feel that way.”I think that is a great way to sum up this disastrous experience. They just don’t care period.
Ve had a mixed experience with San Diego Fertility Clinic (SDFC), and there are a few things I wish I had known before starting treatment here.Financial Department:While the financial department is quick to respond when taking payments, their billing practices are unethical and frustrating. SDFC requires you to pay more than you owe upfront to secure your IVF calendar, keeping the excess as a credit on your account. When you try to find out what your credit balance is or get a refund, the financial department suddenly go silent, ignoring emails and making you chase them down. I have sent email after email with no response. On top of that, they struggle to provide basic medical receipts, lacking details like the provider, services provided, and dates of service. This lack of transparency and lack of communication is unacceptable and adds stress to an already stressful journey. I requested that the financial department supervisor call me to discuss my concerns and never heard from them. I plan to report SDFC to the Better Business Bureau as well as my insurance company for questionable business practices. I am still waiting on reimbursement.Dr. Park and mid level providers:Dr. Park is experienced, professional, and friendly. However, I found her to be lacking in empathy and I felt less like a patient and more like a number. I only saw her at the egg retrievals and at the f/u zoom appts. I otherwise saw random nurse practitioners at every visit.Medical Assistant, Kat Calver:I almost left Dr. Parks care several times due to the incompetence of her medical assistant, Kat Calver. She sent me the wrong IVF calendar, submitted incorrect prescriptions to the pharmacy, and even caused a three-month delay in our treatment by making a decision that should have been made by Dr. Park. Whats worse, I had to constantly push her to escalate my questions to the doctor. This added unnecessary stress to an already difficult journey.Surgery Center:Many of the staff at the surgery center were loud and unprofessional during my visits. Their behavior didnt make me feel comfortable or cared for. They need training on how to conduct themselves professionally and focus on patient-centered care.Offices:Medical offices are clean and modern.Overall, while there are some positives about SDFC, these significant issues have left me feeling frustrated and extremely dissatisfied. I ultimately sought care at a different clinic and wish I had left SDFC sooner. I hope they address these problems for the sake of future patients. I would not recommend this clinic, especially for those doing multiple rounds of IVF.
I was referred by my amazing OB at Scripps to this clinic in 2023. I was excited and looking forward to getting, what I thought, would be personalized care from a fertility expert who could help with my unexplained infertility diagnosis. The experience felt a lot like buying a car. The car salesman being Dr. Park. She matched our excitement and gave us great confidence with our plan to do IUI. She was professional, smart, and had a great presence about her. We felt really good about this meeting. After we signed on for the treatment with the salesman, we did not see her again. From there on out, we had less than great service from many different SDFC employees who work in various positions at multiple locations. It was not one bad encounter on someones off day. It was very consistent. After one too many bad experiences, I jumped on Yelp to read what other people thought. Based off the reviews, San Diego Fertility has been having these same issues for years. We had many of the same experiences people left reviews about. Lost lab results, missing faxes, poorly trained phlebotomists, horrible communication, inept medical assistants, issues with scheduling, & an overall feeling of being dismissed and forgotten. Ive been doing a combo of clomid/letrozole for over 3 years, and it is extremely hard on you emotionally. Adding this stress to my experience was almost unbearable. I wouldnt wish infertility on my worst enemy and I wish I could go back and find a more supportive clinic who would at the very least answer the phone.During a follow up meeting we requested with Dr. Park, she was no longer enthusiastic about IUI and said in her expert opinion she did not see the point in trying any additional IUIs. When I got the call that our final IUI failed, the voicemail said in her notes I was to do another IUI with a stronger dose. So, apparently if I wanted to give them my money, they would do another IUI even though the Doc told us she didnt see the point. Again, poor communication. After almost a year of working with SDFC, our final meeting my husband asked if Dr. Park could give us her opinion on why it isnt working and she blamed it on our age & my husbands lifestyle choices. We are 36/37 and have had nothing but amazing lab results for both ovarian reserve testing and sperm analysis. I would bet every dollar Ive spent with SDFC that Dr. Park made that statement about sperm without ever looking at his sperm analysis results. The expert personalized care I was hoping for felt like a complete joke.I would highly recommend asking friends and family who have used these types of clinics for a recommendation before trying SDFC. I will absolutely be letting my OB know of my experience from her recommendation here.
Dr. Park and the entire team are the best. We just completed our second surrogacy with them and we couldnt be happier. Dr. Park is so knowledgeable, thorough yet concise and just an overall pleasure to be around. Sarah has also been with us for both of our surrogacies and she is amazing. She is positive, so helpful and they are so good at checking in and being there for you each step of the way. We also love Alejandro and the rest of the team. We are so thankful for them all!
Dr. Sandy Chuan and the whole staff at San Diego Fertility Center are amazing. Everyone was so kind and helpful. The whole IVF process was explained thoroughly and all procedures were done in a timely manner. Someone was always available 24/7 to answer any questions or concerns we had. We did FET IVF with ICSI and PGS. Thanks to Dr. Chuan and the SDFC staff, we were blessed with 2 beautiful children, born in 2017 and 2021 (pre-COVID and during COVID). Understandably, our experience going to the clinic was different the second time around but they did the best they could given the circumstances and everyone remained so kind and helpful making sure we were always comfortable and informed. While I wished that my husband was allowed to join me during the second FET, we were allowed to FaceTime each other the entire procedure and the staff made sure I was always comfortable and never alone. I remember one of the staff members crying with me when we found out our first pregnancy was viable as she was with us from day 1 and we were her first patients. I cant thank Dr. Chuan and SDFC enough. Im always highly recommending them to friends, family and acquaintances. Thank you again Dr. Chuan and all of the staff at SDFC for helping us make our dreams come true and have our happily ever after.
Dr. Park is a great professional and also a very nice person. The whole staff of SDFC works very efficiently and conscientiously, and we are very happy with our experience with them. Sometimes we thought however that the processing was a bit too slow, but we understand that medically and legally, some steps have to take their time.
We wanted a Dragon year baby in 2024 and almost missed the date because how incompetent (!!!!!!!) the SDFCs insurance and business management teams are. You need to to drive/push the process on your time - cannot rely on them if you want things to go on schedule. To be fair, I think the medical team is decent (most time just seeing nurses so no high-touch feeling at all), my treatment was successful ( with 1 retrieval and 1 transfer). However, the rest of the experience is just horrible because the Insurance team at SDFC is entirely incompetent and unprofessional: do not reply email for weeks and repeatedly, do not communicate when stated timeline slipped, which then messed up the entire treatment schedule. Also, We found out that WE WERE NOT THE ONLY FAMILY that had this disappointing experience when we complained. We also learned that the business management has no idea for months and finally had to clean up the mess.Stay away from SDFC if you use insurance.
My wife and I arrived to SDFC after 1 failed IUI, and 2 failed cycles of IVF. Even worse, we were told by Dr. Yoo at Reproductive Partners Kaiser that wed NEVER conceive. We were devastated and heartbroken, yet we believed that there was a plan for our lives far bigger than our then current reality. We sought acupuncture and holistic wellness where we met Katie at Reproductive Wellness of San Diego who ultimately connected us to Dr Susana Park at SDFC. Our journey continued to throw obstacles our way, but different strangers entered our lives who previously had success with IVF and encouraged us to continue as long as we can afford to do so.Fast-forward 4 years, we just welcomed our 2nd healthy child (our own egg and sperm) thanks to the amazing-ness of Dr. Park and her team.Dr. Park won us over with her energy and confidence since our first consultation in Mission Valley. She didnt seem too worried of our update from Dr. Yoo, and educated us in our options; she wholeheartedly supported our decision-making as we progressed through the next 18 months, navigating 7 additional cycles of IVF. She was extremely emphatic and responsive when we reached out; even opening up her office on Thanksgiving morning in 2021, ensuring a monitoring ultrasound and measurement before a scheduled egg retrieval. Being the only couple in the office that holiday morning, we witnessed a doctor who was truly passionate and supportive of our success. We failed our first 3 cycles of IVF, yet Dr. Park continually dove right in when we expressed interest in another cycle. During each cycle debrief, she reflected on the challenges presented in the data and coached us in adjustments to our treatment plan. She is extremely knowledgeable and has a way about her that lessens our anxiety in her consultations. Finally, her support team guided us through the highs and lows. Dr. Parks assistant, Hanna Callies, was our rock throughout. Hanna was our go-to when needing clarity in dosage, administration, or seeking request for prescription ordering. Like Dr. Park, Hanna continually made us feel heard and was available/responsive.As we celebrate this victory in the battle over infertility, and reflect on our journey, my wife and I are forever grateful. Treatment is an emotional nightmare, and everyones experience is unique to their own. Our advice to new clients is simply to be patient. Yes, the office is busy. Yes, the routine blood work and ultrasounds are frustrating. AND, Yes, you should double check prescription orders for accuracy.... and YES, youll likely accrue debt apply for a loan in this process; however, the potential outcome is indescribable. The stakes are high for every single client walking in the door and fact is there is no proven science to this experiment of IVF. With the first IVF baby now over 40 years old, I personally thought the success would be near guaranteed (even though we were advised the success rate in the 20s). Patience, deep breaths, and know SDFCs professional team is in your corner cheering you on.
Everyone at SDFC was extremely nice and friendly. Over the phone to in person. Everything was always explained and made me feel better knowledge with what was going on or next steps.I would definitely recommend. Hands down the best experience ever.Thank you Everyone 😊 💚
10 out of 10 amazing experience at San Diego fertility center in del Mar. Everybody that I met there was extremely friendly and always helpful. All of my questions were answered and I had a great experience. Pregnancy success. I worked with Dr. Kettles team. Extremely nice doctor and staff. The process was fast. We went in for egg retrieval with genetic testing and embryo transfer all within the timeline that we were hoping to get. Thankfully we had no complications and everything went smooth.
We’ve been working with SDFC and specifically Dr. Park for four years. Throughout this time Dr Park has been nothing short of amazing. She has been extremely supportive, empathetic, honest, and professional. She gave us straight answers, even if they weren’t the ones we wanted to hear. She supported us beyond just the IVF process by providing recommendations for surrogacy agencies, attorneys, and more. We felt she cared about us and our future family and we weren’t just a number to her. SDFC is known worldwide for their success rate and experience with IVF and thanks to them we now have a one month old son. We will be forever grateful to SDFC and Dr Park for helping us make our dream of a family a reality! We will always reccomend SDFC and Dr. Park.
Wish I could give 0 stars. I went through ‘most’ of the egg donation process. As I passed each test. The one that disqualified me, is unfair in my opinion. I myself grew up in foster care. I decided to do egg donation to help families who couldn’t have children of their own (maybe filling my own void of not being wanted by my own parents) nonetheless I wanted to help. I was disqualified because my biological “parents” did drugs. I myself have not touched a drug my entire life. How is this fair? I have in writing this being the reason behind my disqualification.I passed the drug test, my egg count, my genetics screening. All of it.I’m just at a loss, this is unbelievable.
There are no words to describe our experience with SDFC and Dr. Park. She has been extremely supportive, empathic, professional and always available. We started to work with SDFC in 2017 and we just had our second child, they have helped us since then we can only recommend the clinic and Dr. Park.
I have had the privilege to be able with work with Dr. Daneshmand for two surrogacy journeys. Both times were successful pregnancies. Dr. D and the staff have the absolute best bedside manner and are very personable. I highly recommend
Everyone at this clinic is always very welcoming and kind! The wait time is very short, if any. The providers I come across have all been so kind.
Do more research than google on this place. The reviews are filtered out and there are more realistic reviews on other platforms. Many people end up leaving this place for Pearl IVF or other IVF centers.Going to SDFC you feel like a number. You will only see your doctor twice throughout the whole process. No one is really tracking things down for you, you will have to do this yourself. If you want to feel like you are managing your own project of getting pregnant, this is the place for you.
This review is only for my experience with the second floor front desk personnel. My wife and I decided to switch to SDFC for our second IVF pregnancy from another fertility due to SDFC being closer to our new home.Prior to arrival we had made payments and arrangements for me to pick up an embryo transportation container from SDFC, pick up the embryos from the previous fertility center, and return to SDFC with the container and embryos in preparation for a future embryo transfer. As I walked in to the location, the front desk (first floor) had a sign that read: Please check in on the second floor as I am away from my desk. So I walked upstairs and immediately ask what I needed by someone behind the desk. I explained what I was there for and she rudly stated that I needed to go downstairs. She said upstairs was only for patients and that she would call someone to assist me downstairs. I was confused as to why she was frustrated with me but I just walked downstairs. I was immediately met with another SDFC member that was super friendly and explained the transportation container.Approximately an hour later, I arrived to SDFC again with the embryos in the container and some paperwork from the previous fertility center. Again no one was at the first floor front desk so I walked upstairs with the container. The SDFC member (same as earlier) behind the desk was helping another patient/client but saw me and told me to wait until she was done. As I waited, two more patients stood behind me waiting for assistance. The SDFC member again appeared frustrated and asked me for my date of birth. I gave it to her and she asked what I needed. I told her I was back with the embryos. She rudly stated, That needs to be taken care of downstairs. Since she was rude and frustrated I told her that I was just following the sign on the desk downstairs that asked me to check in up here. The looks and attitude were very uncalled for and embarrassing in front of other patients. Im sure the fact that I was male in a fertility center and the fact the I look like one of the landscapers didnt help my case. Regardless if Im a food deliver driver, landscaper, or a male in the center that level of disrespect and ignorance is uncalled for. If my wife and I had not already paid for the the transfer and storage, I would not have come back. Its not fair for our family to start off this already mentally and emotionally difficult process with negative vibes from a place that should make you feel like family. Im glad Ill only have to go to this office one more time because we will doing all our appointments at the Temecula location.
Dr. Park is an incredible physician! She has a kind heart and the most cheerful smile! We had an incredible journey with Dr. Park from New York to San Diego! The staff and everyone at SDFC was amazing!
0 starsThere are other reputable IVF clinics in San Diego with doctors / staff that are more knowledgeable than San Diego Fertility center (SDFC)They will guarantee success in order to gain your business with deceiving lies, until they have your money. Once they are paid upfront, then you’re just a number to them. The doctors, management unfortunately only see patients as a dollar sign.
Dr. Valerie Flores is a gem! Infertility is a constant challenge but working with a Dr who truly cares makes such a difference.
Beautiful facility. They have ample right up front parking for patients. The staff is excellent and helpful. The waiting areas are tranquil. The embryologist was fantastic. I had my oocyte retrieval and embryo transfer there. We got updates daily on our embryos after retrieval until they were frozen. My provider is wonderful but he’s from the Naval Medical Center and not a regular provider there. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone seeking infertility care.
It was a wonderful experience with Dr. Susan Park. I am grateful to God first and to her second. I gave birth to my first child without any problems during pregnancy, and I am now planning for the second child, of course, with Dr. Susan Park. She is a really wonderful doctor. I advise anyone who has problems with pregnancy to go to Dr. Park.
Had my fist consultation- the doctor was extremely knowledgeable, respectful and treated my case with full attention.
I had a wonderful experience at SDFC as someone who was struggling with infertility due to tubal factor. My husband and I both can’t say enough good about this clinic, Dr. Friedman and the team. We switched to SDFC after having a bad experience at another clinic in San Diego. When I met Dr. Friedman I immediately knew we were going to switch. She was kind, empathetic, collaborative, knowledgeable, clear, confident, everything I would want on this journey. Her staff was also absolutely standout. Dr. Friedman’s medical assistants, Alyna and Irene, were amazingly clear, kind, and reliable communicators. I felt like I always knew what was going on and if I had any questions I could reach out and knew she would get back to me ASAP. The Nurse Practitioners , Cassandra and Jackie, were also clear, direct, and kind which made visits during the retrieval process much less stressful. The embryology team was communicative, informative and so kind as well. The scheduling and logistics were fairly seamless throughout the process which isnt easy! The financial team was helpful when needed, which was only once or twice because everything was very transparent from the start. All in all I would recommend Dr. Friedman and her team to anyone on this journey.
We had an amazing experience with Dr. Friedman. We did multiple ivf rounds at another clinic in La Jolla and there we felt like a piggy bank that u can just pull $ out of. Here at SDFC the whole process was straight to the point and very pleasant. They are honest and keep expectations realistic! We had a beautiful baby boy on our second round and will soon be back for another. Our coordinator, Bentley, was quite awesome as well. Also refund for unused services was quick and in full. Specialty pharmacy they sent us to was waaaaaay cheaper than the other place and super close by. Definitely a great experience overall! Highly recommend this place!
Really bad and annoying experience with finance person. All questions I asked were answered it depends. She was acting like a seven-year-old child. She wasnt happy to reply to my questions even we are at the beginning of something super important. The amount of money they are asking is ridiculous.
We underwent the IVF process at SDFC, utilizing an egg donor and surrogate, and I cannot praise the experience highly enough. The clinic staff were extremely friendly, informative, andincredibly responsive. Dr. Parks professionalism and kindness stood out from our first Zoom meeting. Throughout the complicated process encompassing egg donation, IVF, lab work, surrogate examinations, embryo transfer, and the initial pregnancy phase, Dr. Park maintained a personal connection. Her updates and explanations were invaluable. Thanks to the dedicated team at SDFC, our journey culminated in the formation of our family in a relatively brief period. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the entire SDFC staff for their exceptional support.I enthusiastically recommend San Diego Fertility Center to anyone seeking compassionate and expert care on their path to parenthood.
I donated eggs 3 different cycles. I loveeee San Diego fertility clinic Del Mar location. For my first two cycles Tara was my nurse coordinator. She is on top of things. So so great. I live in Riverside and I would drive all the way to SD because that facility is so great. My last and final donation my coordinator was Sarah. Im glad I had such good communication with Tara the first round because Sarah would not respond to any of my questions via email. No reminder of my trigger shot. No updates on labs. Poor poor communication with that coordinator. The anesthesiologist is so freakin funny. He was amazing all 3 times. The doctor amazing. Surgery nurses, the best. Thank you all, the entire egg donor team is top notch. With Gratitude,-Lindsey Norris
SDFC and Dr. Park are simply the best. Hands down. The staff was incredible and so helpful. They always walked us through the process and explained processes thoroughly. Dr. Park was compassionate yet realistic and made sure we were always best informed about anything during the process. Would recommend them again and again.
Nice and helpful staff, but horrible wait time. Always about an hour wait. Feels like a factory where nobody really sees you… so frustrating 😞. I experienced it every time I was there.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for Dr. flores team thank you so much for all the nurses too for taking care of me during my egg retrieval.
Working with this facility was one of the most heartbreaking experiences. No one is guaranteed a baby with IFV, which we knew - that was not our challenge. Starting the process, we felt very informed and respected, however as soon as we processed payment, we noticed a change in communication - both cadence and quality. We felt our concerns were unanswered and diminished. An example, despite asking for more frequent monitoring for an IUI ovulation, we were told no. Subsequently I ovulated early and we missed that opportunity - costing us time, money and leading to additional anxiety with our already overwhelming fertility journey. After successfully transferring following an IVR, we miscarried - this is no ones fault and we knew that was possible. That said, not one person from the facility called to check in or even to ask when or if we wanted to try again. Questions regarding medication and the miscarriage process were unanswered, made more challenging by the rather unprofessional front desk. One medication for pain was never ordered - an Im sorry, was offered - thats it.We are now attempting to go to another clinic, however SDFC is holding our medical records despite weeks of seeking their release. We continue to hear we are on it but we have one person department. The request was sent in October. Please avoid this clinic.
Everyone is so sweet and kind. My experience with donating eggs was phenomenal thanks to the team.
I recently completed the egg freezing process under the care of Dr. Brooke Friedman and I couldnt be more grateful and happy with how my experience went. From my first consultation with Dr. Friedman, I knew I was in good hands. Her team is also remarkable! Her medical assistant Zaina was always there to answer any questions I had. I experienced great care from the phlebotomist and NPs for my check ups! The entire process was smooth, from the initial testing to the retrieval procedure. The nurse Lauren B was incredibly kind and thoughtful when caring for me before/after the retrieval. Dr. Zimmer was also fantastic and made me feel very comfortable with the anesthesia. I am grateful to Dr. Friedman and her team for their great care and I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone considering egg freezing!
We had a great experience at this clinic. We trusted Doctor Park and we were right. She is very kind, and so is her staff.
I am utterly shocked by the treatment we received from the staff at San Diego Fertility Center (SDFC). We had a simple request: to schedule an OB ultrasound for IVF monitoring. I promptly emailed them the orders for the ultrasound from the IVF clinic, and I faxed the necessary credit card information to them. I even received confirmation that the fax had been successfully received. The faxs cover page explicitly requested a callback to confirm receipt, which I never received. The following day, I called to ensure everything was in order, and for a full 20 minutes, I endured the most unbelievable rudeness from the staff. They continuously asserted that they hadnt received the fax, despite me having fax receipt confirmation on hand and their statement that all the faxes went in one computer folder. I had the exact time and date of delivery, yet they treated me as if I were an inconvenience for asking them to locate a fax containing vital credit card information. They double-checked and then had the audacity to claim ignorance regarding its whereabouts. This raised concerns that someone may have mishandled or even pocketed the fax, despite my irrefutable proof of delivery. Despite their insulting behavior, I maintained my politeness and requested a triple check. Lo and behold, they did indeed have the fax all along. However, not a single word of apology was offered.Subsequently, they had us complete paperwork that had already been emailed to them, which we did to avoid further mistreatment. Finally, they assured us that someone would contact us shortly to schedule the OB ultrasound. No such call ever came. We had to follow up at least three times, only to be informed eventually that San Diego Fertility Center DOES NOT OFFER OB ULTRASOUNDS. Keep in mind, they already had the OB ultrasound orders right away but failed to communicate this to us, wasting days of our time-sensitive period.Given this absurd situation where the ice cream parlor wasnt selling ice cream, we were relieved to take our business elsewhere, where we were treated with the respect and dignity befitting human beings. I cannot fathom how San Diego Fertility Center justifies treating individuals going through the challenges of infertility with such blatant disrespect and extreme rudeness.
We had a great experience with Dr. Susanna Park and the San Diego Fertility Center. Dr. Park was always very open and honest in talking to us about our options and the considerations for different treatment paths. She really tailored her approach to our specific situation and discussed options that were in line with what we needed; very much a personalized experience. Great communication. Highly recommend!
We cant say enough about our experience with SDFC and Dr Park. All of the staff work together to walk you through this journey. Dr Park made sure we understood every part of the process. We definitely felt like family, not just a number.I would highly recommend SDFC for your fertility/surrogacy journey.
Before coming to SDFC I was very worried, because I was being seen at a different fertility Clinic, I wasn’t happy with the service there. So i immediately left that clinic and coming to San Diego Fertility Clinic was the best decision! Dr. Kettle team is amazing, Dr. kettle himself is amazing! The moment I meet him and I spoke to him about my issues with fertility and my concerns, he understood me, heard me and he took actions right away on what I wanted done with my fertility journey. (thank you) The fact that he was willing to explain everything to me and not leave me in the dark and having his team go over everything with me, its really amazing! It’s one less thing I have to worry about with going through this process. Even though it was a rushed minute for me to find this clinic, it was worth a shot to switch to this facility. We are doing our first IVF round in few weeks while my husband is home from a deployment and I can’t thank Dr Kettle enough for making this happen!!! Seriously the best Doctor!!! The customer service is on point, the nurses especially Amanda is so wonderful. She will make you feel so excited about this whole journey and will communicate all the way with you. They are fast in returning your calls or emails! I am positive that the wonderful service here will continue and I am also positive that my husband and I are going to finally reach our goals and dreams on having a our family soon! So thank you SDFC!!!!
The good - All of the staff here are very nice and almost all women. The clinic is beautiful and easily accessible. I rarely had to wait more than 10 minutes for my appointments. The clinic is very big and they see a lot of patients (perhaps too many). This is not the place for the most personalized care. The doctor will call for big news but most interactions are with nurse practitioners and physician associates. Most of them are knowledgeable but a few are not as technically proficient or have the best bedside manner. Not so great - with the size, a few things have fallen through the cracks with follow up calls and insurance. You need to be organized as well and do a certain amount of double checking.
Our overall experience with San Diego Fertility Clinic (SDFC) was all around fantastic. We started working with a different smaller agency and found that process to be incredibly cumbersome, confusing and all together an awful process. When we moved to SFDC and met Dr. Park and her team, it was like a breath of fresh air! The staff was incredibly professional, organized, timely in their communications, and worked to manage our expectations. As you can imagine, all of the details can be incredibly overwhelming, especially to any intended parents who have demanding day jobs. Over 4-6 sets of our other close intended parent friends have worked with Dr. Susanna Park and her team, and we’ve all been impressed at the efficiency, attentiveness and overall professionalism of her team. Especially as we were considering doing twins, Dr. Park gave us as balanced of a perspective as possible, given the quality of our embryos, the health our surrogate and the fact that we were able to get twins on our first try was nothing short of amazing; but truly a testament to Dr. Park’s experience and knowledge.
We are working with SDFC and specifically Dr Park. We have been very fortunate to have such an informed and caring doctor and team working with us. It is fair to say that our journey has not been an easy one and did not always go to plan, with several failed cycles but the team at SDFC kept coming back and giving us the information we needed and the advice and options that we available to us, all of which was delivered in a caring and supportive fashion.Dr Park has a very personal touch about her, always giving her honest opinion, even when sometimes it might not be what you want to hear, but done in a way that helps you take that next brave step. We have gone through multiple cycles, two surrogates and two rounds of embryo creation to get here, but from following their advice we are now expecting our little miracle in 16 weeks time. We can only recommend Dr Park and the whole team at SDFC with the highest praise. If you are looking to be engaged in the process at all stages as a person, not just a patient, they do this with ease and we did not meet a single person at the clinic who was not passionate about making our dream come true. Thank you, Dr Park and the whole team, we hope to be back for round two we hope in the not-too-distant future.
I had the best experience with SDFC. I feel that I was well- taken care off although I was not able to visit the clinic. From Dr Park and the whole team including laboratory staffs, accounting and nurse, I was given very clear and detailed instruction and explanations, which make the whole complicated journey very easy to follow. I am forever grateful that SDFC helped me build my family.
This post is way overdue, but never too late to acknowledge the incredible team at SDFC… We have 18 month old twins, thank you to Dr. Park and her AMAZING team at SDFC…We struggled getting pregnant for 6 years due to unexplained infertility and when we met with Dr. Park, we knew she was THE doctor for us… She listened to everything we had to say and made us feel at ease throughout every process… Thank you for making our family a possibility, without you, it may not have happened…Our babies have been so much fun and every blessing we knew they were the minute we found out about them…. Thank you so much for making them a possibility, we owe you everything!!The Gray Family
This is a way overdue review that I am leaving for Dr. Park and her amazing staff. About a year ago we walked into SDFC and met Dr. Park for the first time. She explained to us the entire process of IVF and started me on a plan immediately as I expressed my urgency to start asap. We went through 2 rounds of egg retrieval; the first round Dr. Park even suggested we don’t proceed with the egg retrieval to save us money and to try another mixture of cocktail meds because I did not have a decent egg count. But we decided to proceed and just do another round anyways. It just shows how HUMAN she is and cares about our financial situation since IVF is not a cheap process.I remember when we first started IVF, I would go through all the comments to find reassurance and hope through other peoples’ success stories. I hope this is one of them for those looking for positivity. We are 2 weeks away from our scheduled due date and from meeting our baby girl!!! WILD!!!The journey is long; it’s a whole lot of medications, watching your hormones go whacky, physical changes to your body, a lot of waiting… & moreIVF is also not magic, it won’t work for every body. But Dr. Park will make sure she evaluates and creates the perfect care plan for YOU. She will construct a treatment unique to you to bring you the best possibility. I truly wish everyone success, sending out the most powerful positive vibes and juju!Took a star away because they are never on time with your appointment (ultrasounds and bloodwork). I would go in during work for the appointments (I work M-F) and wait 20-30min to be seen. Truly frustrating cause I would use my lunch breaks to go in and be late to clock back in cause I had to wait there so long :(
I just did my first egg donation cycle with them and when I say atrocious, that’s an understatement. I was bounced around from clinic to clinic, none of the doctors or nurses were on the same page about my medication regimen, they failed to give me the correct meds multiple (4) times, they gave me instructions for medication that I didn’t even have, nor was I supposed to be taking! My “coordinator” was named Sarah and she didn’t coordinate anything. In fact her communication skills were so bad that I had to navigate my whole cycle on my own. Their scheduling and lab departments messed up and didn’t draw my FDA labs until the day before my retrieval, I was also supposed to have labs done for a trigger shot which they scheduled me for and then when I got to the clinic said they could no longer do those labs. Absolute hot mess, 100% would not recommend using them for egg donation.
SDFC is incredible. We interviewed countless fertility centers in our journey towards surrogacy and me and my husband felt so at home with SFC. Dr. Park is personable, efficient, knowledgeable and so good at what she does. Jenna helped us find the perfect egg donor through their data base, Sarah was exceptional as a nurse from day 1 to post embryo transfer. We were fortunate for our first embryo to take with our surrogate and we felt like we were in the best hands. Shout out to Alejandro who went above and beyond as our financial coordinator. Ruth, Shaelyn and all of the staff was exceptional and so welcoming. It was truly a seamless process and we cant wait for our little one to arrive in April 2022. Well be back for round 2!
Dr. Park and her team have been extremely supportive during our surrogacy journey. Despite some headwinds that only Mother Nature can explain, SDFC was able to help us get a beautiful healthy baby boy. We really enjoyed interacting with SDFC during our journey. We will reach back if we decide to have a second baby in the future.
When I found doctor Park at 43, I was hopeless and discouraged after two different doctors had strongly recommended donor eggs, one refusing to treat me without them. From my initial consult with Dr. Park, she was optimistic and positive, thoroughly explaining the protocol she believed could help and how it would be different than my last two rounds. I’m so glad I trusted her, so much so that I drove down from Orange County for all my appointments. After 1 round of IVF and my first transfer I was pregnant and I’m currently sitting here with my 4 month old daughter. Needless to say Dr. Park is my angel. She and her staff were pleasant, efficient and supported me every step of the way. I can’t thank them enough for my beautiful girl.
We love SDFC. Dr. Friedman is wonderful and so great to work with. The team at SDFC is fantastic and they are so supportive during such a challenging time. We were blessed with 2 miracle babies through our fertility journey and we have the team at SDFC to thank. I definitely recommend them to anyone who needs assistance in creating their family.
We are international intended parents, after 3 years of multiple IVF cycles in Europe we decided to get ourselves a last chance with SDFC. Best decision in our life, now we are pregnant with the help of Dr D (Dr Daneshmand), My, Dori and all the other great people in their team! We love you guys and appreciate your work so much
SDFC is AMAZING!!! Everyone who works there is just fantastic! My husband and I tried for over 6 years before looking into IVF and thanks to Dr. Park, we are finally going to be able to expand our family. IVF is not an easy journey by any means, but Dr. Park and the SDFC team do help you to see that it is possible. Everyone is so genuine and welcoming. They develop a plan specifically for you and tweak it as needed. We are so grateful for everything that Dr. Park has done for us during our journey and we cant wait for her to meet our son once he is born! They have made our dreams come true and we are just so excited for this next chapter in our lives!Thank you so much Dr. Park and SDFC Team!
SDFC was a true gift for my husband and I. We were struggling to conceive naturally after a previous miscarriage. We wanted a family so bad and the staff at SDFC made it happen. Dr. Friedman was so friendly from day one. The nurses were all so nice and supportive. We did two rounds of IUI and on the second round we were pregnant! With twins! I cannot thank the staff enough for taking their time, really making us feel comfortable with every decision we had to make, and helping us through a very stressful time.
Dr. Park and her team are amazing! Very organized, friendly, and compassionate. They made our long journey feel just a little better. They explained everything so well and made the process feel so seem less. I was referred to this clinic by Dr. Marc Sklar at Reproductive wellness and I am so glad he did. Dr. Sklar and Dr. Park worked together on my case.
Had the best time working with Dr. Park. Highly recommend doing your research on providers and cant recommend SDFC enough. Professional office that provides timely updates and works hard to keep the intended parents adequately informed.
Not the least bit accommodating to someone who has already paid a fortune to harvest eggs, lives out of the country, and works in health care. They wouldn’t even give me a general timeline for when I would need to be in San Diego for egg harvesting. The expectation is that you book 1.5+ months off work and are available at the last minute whenever they finally decide to provide you with a timeline. At times the nurse educator would take almost a week to respond to an email. This is how they treat a client who has paid them thousands of dollars. So disappointed
As an egg donor, I would not recommend this clinic. In my case, the doctors were negligent and did not prioritize my well-being as a health care worker should. I felt that SDFC tried to take advantage and push my body to produce as many eggs as possible even if it was unnecessary and resulted in severe Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome. I had several warning signs of OHSS before the retrieval and the doctors monitoring my case did nothing to reduce my risk which is extremely negligent and disappointing. After the procedure, the clinic took hours to respond and prescribe me something to manage the pain. If you are an egg donor, you have to be aware that they will not take care of you, they will treat you like a cow, just producing something that they need. You have to take your health into your own hands.
Ill try not to be too wordy, because I could go on for pages about how wonderful SDFC was to us. We had tried insemination through our insurance, 7 times, with no success. We went to SDFC & met with Dr. Kettel, and immediately felt comfortable. I have a kidney transplant, and he explained that although I would be only their 5th transplant patient, his theory was that transplant patients have a harder time conceiving at home. He wasnt scared away as many doctors are! We went through the IVF process, and it could not have gone better. The nurses were amazing at explaining everything that was happening or going to happen, as was Dr. Kettel. Everyone was fantastic about double checking to make sure any medications they prescribed were safe with my transplant meds. We qualified for the Success Guarantee Program, but we were blessed to have our Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET) work on the first try! We now have a beautiful 6 month old baby girl who is the light of our lives. We will definitely be back when were ready for our second child, as we still have several embryos waiting for us.If I could pinpoint one thing that makes SDFC stand out, its that they treated me like me, and actually saw me. I didnt feel like they just wanted to get a good result out of us to put on their success stories, but that they genuinely wanted to help us start our family. This had not been our experience through our insurance-covered doctors. We are incredibly grateful - it made the experience that much less stressful, and I choose to believe thats part of what led to our success!
I can’t thank SDFC ENOUGH for making my dream of becoming a father come true! Everyone at SDFC has been absolutely amazing. They have truly made me feel like family and for that, I am forever grateful. Words can’t express my gratitude and a simple thank you does not do what you guys do justice. You change lives and create miracles, THANK YOU!!!! You will forever be part of my familys life. Huge shout out to Dr. Park, who I worked with through my process but from case manager to Dr, everyone I worked with was absolutely wonderful! :)
As and older couple, we were feeling discouraged after many failed IVF attempts at two other local facilities. Fortunately, my husband and I found an encouraging Dr. Park and the San Diego Fertility Center, Del Mar. Dr. Park gave us hope, as she shared stories of encouragement. Her staff was always welcoming, friendly, understanding, and certainly knowledgeable. They went above and beyond, by answering every question I threw at them, and adjusting my appointments as I needed. My husband and I give a huge thanks to Dr. Park, Shaylin, Hana, Barbara, Kris, Daniela, Debbie, Alejandro, Jenna, and Dr. Zimmer. All of them helped me through this emotional time, treated us like family, and made our journey much easier. Our baby is due this spring, and we’re looking forward to stopping by to see Dr. Park and the staff. Thank you all for your help
Dr. Susanna Park and her team at SDFC did everything they could to help us, both in form of professional assistance at the highest level as well as personal support and attentiveness. Dr. Park has been caring at a human level to an extent above what anyone could expect, and she provided us with professional advice whenever we reached out to her - as well as being proactive and reaching out to us. The warmest recommendations from us!
SDFC has beautiful offices and Dr. Park makes you feel at home. She takes the time to get to know you and spends endless hours answering your questions. When you go on your IVF journey, there is no promise on if or when it may work. How you are supported and treated are the only things that matter. Dr. Park and staff, thank you for making our dreams come true.
Amazing. I wanted to share my experience with SDFC. I am an international patient, and I have been so happy to meet these people and their amazing staff. I have chosen to work with Dr. Susanna Park. She was so sweet, helpful and efficient. It is very re-assuring to work with caring and professional people when it comes to medical aspects. It has been also very nice (being an international patient), to be helped by very professional and friendly administrative , financial & coordinating people (Debbie Goode, Jennah Lake, Anne Blanquer...). The nursing staff is also great. I have only good things to say !
Being an Egg Donor with SDFC has been an experience of a lifetime! I just stumbled upon egg donation through social media and applied at SDFC, little did I know I would get the opportunity to change lives. Ive done over half a dozen donations and every single time I get the VIP treatment. The entire staff is incredibly friendly and super informative. They give you a play by play of everything that is going down as far as treatment, retrieval, and important dates and times to be aware of. I LOVE getting to be apart of something where I get to help create little miracles for families! This is truly an experience that has humbled my heart with filled me with memories to last me a lifetime! If youve ever considered becoming an egg donor, I highly recommend applying at SDFC first!!
I went to the initial information session and filled out all of their online paperwork. I called 5x to schedule over the course of a month and never heard back. On my last call the person who answered said that they only have one person that does intakes, and I have to keep calling that one person.... If they arent organized enough to schedule an appointment, I worry about their organization to complete IVF!
Dr. Park is second to none. I met with several fertility doctors when beginning my pathway to becoming a parent through IVF and gestational surrogacy. Dr. Park rose quickly as my top choice. Her skill and expertise is unparalleled. She stays current with the most cutting-edge research. My surrogate felt heard and respected – an equal partner is the process. Dr. Park is clear, direct, warm, intellectually curious, responsive, and her tireless enthusiasm for this work is an inspiration. I cannot recommend her more highly!
SDFC is absolutely amazing!I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Actually we did previously and I didn’t have a peace about the whole process, until we met with Dr. Daneshmand. The whole staff is wonderful and attentive. With my small frame, Dr. D even put me on the perfect doses for the injections and knew exactly what end result we should have. It couldn’t have gone any better! The staff takes genuine interest in you and it feels like a family. From the injections to egg retrieval, everything went so smooth.Don’t read forums or other people’s experiences, as it will only freak you out. Go to SDFC and you will be well taken care of. Everything I was nervous about, all exceeded my expectations. We can’t thank the staff at SDFC enough and helping us start our family!
San Diego fertility was amazing they helped me and my husband bring our two beautiful twins into this world they helped us through out the whole process and answered all our questions and concerns and worked with us ever step of the way. We loved how inclusive they are and dr. Park was the best with helping us understand the process and giving us the best advice thank you SDFC for everything we are so grateful
We have been working with Dr Friedman, which is great, but the staff is a whole different story. You have to be on top of things otherwise things will not work as planned. Missed or wrong prescriptions sent to pharmacy and not on time. If you are going through IUI or IVF cycle and they stress out that timing is everything, make sure you have a staff who send things to pharmacies on time and accurately to ensure no ones times or money is wasted. Also this facility just treats you as a number, so if you are okay with that, you found the place. Went through IVF as the first option because of high success rate and it didnt work, very frustrating given we conceived our first child naturally. Now going through IUI but they treat you differently because youre not spending upwards of $30+ k on the treatments. If I have to do all over again, Im going somewhere else!
Not a clinic I would recommend for egg donors. They’re negligent, rude, and talk down to egg donors. They treat donors as numbers(how much money they can make off of us) and not as a person. They don’t listen when it comes to risks of OHSS. Communication is all over the place, a literal mess. To top it all of with how rude they are, gaslighting donors is the anesthesiologist’s favorite pastime.
My husband and I started our surrogacy journey with an east coast clinic and switched to SDFC after a failed transfer of the two embryos that we had. We were less than pleased with the doctor for a variety of reasons and the focus was more on making money for them rather than helping us get pregnant and having a child.I met Dr. Daneshmand at a surrogacy workshop in NYC along our journey and immediately sought him out for a 2nd opinion on the quality of our embryos that we transferred. We decided not to do PGS testing on our initial embryos, however Dr. D was able to identify concerns with the quality of the embryos from the scanned images we received on day of transfer. Concerns on the quality of our embryos was never raised by the doctor at our original clinic.I did a skype consult with Debbie Goode, the Finance Director. I shared our story and all of the challenges that we had with our prior clinic and surrogates since we started our journey in November 2014 - two years and still not pregnant for a variety of reasons. During the consult, Debbie started searching their egg donor database for a proven donor that would yield us significantly better results than our previous donor at our original clinic. We eventually got around to discussing the costs for the various programs. It was evident from this first interaction that the primary focus of SDFC is to help you realize your dreams of becoming parent vs. them making money off of their clients. We were provided with access to their egg donor database prior to making a final decision to switch to SDFC and prior to paying them a penny!!! Based on the consultation provided by Dr. D, we narrowed our list to two potential egg donors and sought additional guidance from Barb Tanaka, Nurse Practitioner. Barb reached out to us a few days later to let us know that they had another set of IPs who were interested in our egg donor. We then decided to officially make the switch and we committed to SDFC in October 2016.We completed the egg retrieval and embryo creation process in December 2016. We were overwhelmed in a positive way by the very detailed and consistent updates provided by Barb Tanaka during the process. We were thrilled to end up with 12 very good quality embryos. We waited to be matched with a new surrogate and eventually switched from our east coast agency to another agency in April 2017 which was recommended to us by Dr. Daneshmand. We did a single frozen embryo transfer on June 5th, 2017 which resulted in a pregnancy!!!We cant say enough about the compassion and love we experienced from all of the staff at SDFC along the way! It was never about the money to them but ALWAYS about helping us get pregnant and realizing our dreams of fatherhood. Our beautiful son Cole was born on January 31st, 2018 in San Diego, CA. We stopped by to visit the SDFC team and introduce them to Cole before heading home to New Jersey. We ended up spending three hours with the team and had numerous offers for babysitting services! We are planning a sibling journey and look forward to working with Dr. D and the amazing team at SDFC to bless Cole with a brother or sister.
I moved to SoCal and shipped my embryos to SDFC. Everyone I spoke with over the phone was really nice and informative. The FET process was smooth and painless. I was able to tell the doctor what i did for my first pregnancy and was able to use the same meds. He listened to me and inderstood i knew my body. I was always seen at my appointment times and felt really taken care of. I highly recommend SDFC!
Applied as a donor. Initially, the nurses there were super sweet and helpful. They did my internal ultrasound and drew my blood and said the results would be available in the next few weeks. I had a phone interview with 2 others and they said I would have my results soon. They said whether I was approved or not, they would give me all of my results. I received an email a few days later, letting me know I was not a good fit for a donor with no explanation. I emailed back and asked about the reason behind the decision, asked for the genealogical testing results and other test results, and never received a response. They told me I cant be a donor, and never gave me a reason why. As a woman, this is slightly heartbreaking because I was willing to give some of my eggs to a family in need but they wont even tell me why I was incapable of doing so... Is my fertility too low? Do I carry a gene that is unsafe or could cause a birth defect? Is it my family history? Being left in the dark was extremely unprofessional.
1 year ago today I finally got a positive pregnancy test. I owe a small thanks to San Diego fertility center (SDFC) but not in the way you think. After trying for nearly 2 years, my husband and I attended a seminar here to learn about their services. In hindsight I realize it was all just a sales pitch to sell IUI and/or IVF. After going through our consults and tests, we were diagnosed with what I bet a lot of couples are: unexplained infertility. So that’s it, ‘we don’t what’s wrong with you - all your levels are normal so you should be getting pregnant but you’re not so let’s jack you up with a bunch of synthetic hormones and charge you and your insurance a bunch of money to get you pregnant.’ This wasn’t good enough for me. If nothing was wrong then why did I need this treatment? After voicing some concerns I had with my cycle to the doctor I had been seeing I was offered some additional testing options but was told that even with the testing, “treatment” would still consist of IUI. I was sick of being gaslighted. It was not only my fertility but also my hormonal well being as a whole that was being dismissed and coerced into making a decision in where SDFC would profit. I might come away with a pregnancy but no answer to why I couldn’t without their help and concerns that I would have to go through the process again the next time. I sought a second opinion from a naturopath who found I had a variety of nutritional deficiencies and estrogen dominance. I also wasn’t producing cervical mucus which I now know is ESSENTIAL in order to get pregnant through intercourse. Not once was I asked about my cervical mucus by SDFC. Why!? After a mild cleanse to clear out the excess estrogen and changes to my diet I was producing mucus and within 2 months was pregnant. Sure this route took a bit more time but I had my infertility explained! Ladies, don’t settle for the bs diagnosis of unexplained infertility it’s just a made up diagnosis to justify IUI/IVF to the insurance companies. As I sit here watching my baby boy nap I’m so appreciative of the naturopath who actually listened and sought to find an answer for me. I’m also thankful that the staff at SDFC never followed up to schedule me for the additional tests I was offered as I was told they would. I maybe wouldn’t be a mama today.
Dr. Daneshmand is one of the best doctors I have ever met. He is so kind and has such a great bedside manner and he answered all our questions ever so calmly. Not only is he a lovely person but his results are also impeccable. If you have any issues conceiving he should be on the top of your list. The staff at SDFC are very polite and helpful as well.
We had amazing results with Dr Park and we are grateful for everyone who helped us in the SDFC. Highly recommended!
Thanks to Dr. park, we have a beautiful little girl. We tried for 4 years before meeting Dr. Park. She was very warm and informative. We are currently trying for baby number two with SDFC. Fingers crossed!
SDFC has changed my life for good. The San Diego Fertility Center is a place I know well, through many routine check-ups and several egg-retrieval cycles. The SDFC location is in top form; nestled within a beautiful campus setting that feels far from ‘clinical.’ Beyond the surface lies the true heart of SDFC; the caring staff of receptionists, nurses, and doctors who guide every critical step towards bringing new lives into the world.Choosing to walk into SDFC two years ago was one of the most rewarding things I have ever done in my life. The egg-retrieval procedure can be daunting, but at each moment I was confident in my progress because of the nurturing staff at SDFC. And, because the center is equipped with state of the art tools and caring staff, I can rest assured in knowing I will be given the best care every step of the way. Special thanks to the highly qualified (and pretty fierce) nurses in the retrieval area on the 1st floor, who have the best bedside manner. My egg-retrieval days are made less stressful because of their kind and patient support. Without a doubt, the fertility doctors are super-stars. Dr. Zimmer and Dr. Daneshmand work with their team of Nurse Practitioners closely and seamlessly. They are the definition of capable, and actively take interest in my well-being. They visit with me before and after every retrieval. The environment is light, joyful, …even hilarious sometimes, but ultimately totally supportive and earnest - they know my name and they know what I am doing is significant.
I was an egg donor and I enjoyed every time. The staff were always very welcoming and kind. They made sure I was comfortable and they would always check in after the retrieval surgery. I loved helping families and giving them the gift of life.
Dr. Friedman was my doctor I love her she the most nurturing, understanding doctor I’ve every had she takes time to explain everything great at what she do , her assistant Alayna is awesome as well great communication, and customer service, Also the embryology team is great they explained everything I needed to know about my embryo’s I am now 5 weeks pregnant thanks to her, and the medical team everyone one works together closely so it make the medical team awesome the ladies in Temecula office Monica, Jen, and Tina are great as well this medical team is great 😊 thank you ladies
Dr Park is amazing and so is her Del Mar staff. I’m closer to the Temecula location and Monica is the only NP in that office so if you go there you will see her. Monica isn’t the most inviting person and for such a touchy subject someone should be a bit more caring. Other than that would recommend!
A note to egg donors, this center will auto-reject you if you are even slightly over the age of 30. Despite being healthy and qualified, I was immediately disqualified from applying. I wanted to see if age was the reason (since they dont have the decency to give you one) so I tried applying again under a fake profile, giving identical information but a birthdate that was a few years younger, and was accepted. A fertility center should know that a healthy 31 year old woman is still fertile. Very dehumanizing, especially considering I have since been accepted by a different center, so the sole issue with SDFC appeared to be nothing but age. I understand that there are age-based limitations when it comes to egg donation, but a womans eggs dont automatically shrivel to dust the moment she turns 30. Many women between the ages of 30-35 have children, I dont see why egg donors should be disqualified at 30. A nice couple may have been denied a viable option for bearing a child as a result of this bias.
Pros: The staff is usually warm and friendly. Dr.Kettle I see only on my main consultation visits so honestly I couldnt rate him at all.Cons: After 1 failed IUI and one chemical pregnancy after a fresh IVF I am noticing that this facility does not hold your hand for for anything. You are a patient and that is it. They barely tell you what you need to know...unless you ask of course. Funny, how would I know what to ask, Im not the doctor. Ive learned more online than in the office. I then go back and ask a 1,000 questions and then I finally get answers to things the drs office should be telling me. I recommend a grief counselor to be recommended too who will pretty much hold your hand through this whole ordeal. Infertility is the MOST dramatic difficult thing for a family and should be treated with more concern and passion. Another funny thing, the finances are explained all confusing and I keep being told I am normal however I am clearly not. When you are paying IN FULL OUT OF POCKET you would expect a little more. Nope, I am still number 2,345.-So with my bad review unfortunately i feel like I am stuck with SDFC bc I have already paid and they have 16 of my frozen embryos so I have to stay. If I get pregnant or not, I would really think twice about going here.
Had a wonderful experience, along with a successful procedure, with Dr. Park and her team at SDFC. Highly recommended. Thank you Dr. Park!
I had a great experience getting set up for egg donations! Everyone made me feel welcome and comfortable 💕
The staff at the front disk are very rude and unprofessional. They wont even greed you or give you the time to ask questions and gives you the feeling as if you are not welcomed at this center. I ask the SDFC leadership to review these comments seriously and follow-up with the complains they are getting via email or phone in regards to staff working at the front desk.
No Stars at all...Dont waist your time and money. Before signing our contact in 2015 everyone was super nice and helpful, and then:1. They over dosed my wife, messed up with medication prescription, so we had to wait another 2.5 month for the next step, until her condition went back to normal.2. We did 2 times IUI, no results. I understand it is life and luck.3. Slappy personal, never return our phone calls, not enough explanation. Im not a doctor, I need info.4. All they talk about is money, many times tried to convince us to switch package from IUI to more expensive IVF 99.9% satisfaction ( take baby home ).After 8 month of trying we lost our hope with them and went to Tijuana, (10 times cheaper), professional doctors, good english, nice clinic, no excess sugar coating, just strait to the point. Everything happened from the first time. Now my baby is pregnant.Good luck to you. 01.05.2016
This is a place will rob you and take all your money away with a smile and they teach you that you must appreciate them. What a business! They smile to you like they are offering you help to get a baby. WE PAY MONEY. Dont treat us like you are doing a favor. If you are doing a favor, dont charge hundreds and thousands here and there. Surprising bills keep coming. Dont fall for it.
The dr. And staff act like they really don’t care about their patients. We’ve given nearly $30,000. To this company and feel better treated and given more attention by the grocery baggers. After spending months here I strongly recommend going somewhere else.
Absolutely worst clinic ever, I cant understand how these people stay in business...You will spend time and energy without any results, I dont even wanna talk about the staff, very rude and unhelpful. Please find yourself a different clinic if you care about yourself.
Dr. Park and the whole staff kept us positive throughout tough times and now we have a lil bundle of joy!Thank you so muchI highly recommend this place and would advise any friend to go here
Went for my first apt and I was blown away. The building is gorgeous. I was taken back right away. The staff were so friendly and understanding. My review may change as time goes on but initial impression is very high.
Dr. Park is amazing! We appreciated her honesty, advice, and skillset. Her team is also very helpful and provides excellent communication.
They were great. We felt information and cared for. Recently we had a poor expirence at another fertility clinic in LA and it really made me appreciate San Diego. I would definitely recommend this place to others.
I had an ER and two FET here. Staff was amazing both times. Today, Sigourney really comforted me. I cannot thank her enough. She is amazing.
Absolutely fantastic. Superb for years, I have 3 beautiful children thanks to the expert treatment I received here. Cannot believe their rating is so low. It should be 5/5
BEST fertility center EVER!!!! All the doctors are AMAZING, but I must be a bit bias. Dr. Daneshmand and My ROCK!!!!
Dr Daneshmand helped us become a couple of two to a family of there - we are so appreciative and our beautiful baby girl wouldn’t be here without him and his amazing team
Not impressed with Jenna in the mission hills office or any scheduling miscommunication and the doctor was very rude in our zoom id be nervous to do any procedures seems they don’t care about patient comfort
Dr. Daneshmand is the best!!
The SDFC team are thorough, reassuring, and some of the sweetest people you could work with.
Horrible staff. Very rude, pushy, gossipy, abrasive. Inconsiderate people. Shouldnt be in the medical field.Dr. and embryologist were great though.
The receptionists were very helpful. Got easy parking too.
We are forwarding our application few times and so far got no feedback
Best clinic ever. Best staff. Love them!!!!
Ridiculously long wait times. 50+ minutes just waiting for them to draw your blood
Everything I know about the company is stellar!! An absolute standout!
Did you also have a very bad experience with Dr. Daneshmand of the SAN Diego Fertility Center? Obtaining results, and treatment, worse than in any public hospital in central-northern Italy?Due to the absolutely negative experience, we do not recommend it to all Italians.
The best clinic in California, they have treated me with great attention and professionalism
The service is so bad. I had an appointment to have my blood drawn and I waited here for an hour but no one came to care for me.
Fantastic, helpful, kind, and all very professional!
