Dr. Ekpo and her Team are Excellent! They are very professional and care about you and your journey. They are compassionate and made us feel very comfortable. The portal is easy to use and response time is quick. They take the time to walk you through every step when you call. I highly recommend Kindbody SF as I had a seamless successful outcome. My husband and I are very grateful and I cant wait to continue to use their services in the future.
They completely ghosted me. I had some questions and they said they will get back to me, and then completely ghosted me. I followed up, no response. I wouldnt trust them with the process if they already treat me like this before the process. I ended up going with UCSF and have great results, and the communication as well as expertise was much better. And the cost was lower too!
We can not express enough how happy and joyous me and my wife are, with Kindbody San Francisco.. Especially with our Dr. - Dr Geraldine Ekpo.We were worried, skeptical as this was our first experience and all kinds of thoughts were in our minds.. BUT!The whole experience was flawless, their team is caring and genuinely involved in process - with highest professionalism. This was our first try, and it worked like butter with these guys. Superb!! We are so HAPPY!We are 6 months into pregnancy, with our first baby and we have more to come with them! I am coming back. And Highly Recommend.Honestly, words can not express our gratification with Dr Ekpo. She is a blessing.
Edit: 9/29/2024:THEY HAVE NOT REFUNDED ME A TINY AMOUNT OF $75 SINCE LAST YEAR, JULY 2023. They are just the worst. I have informed them that I have reached my out of pocket and they did not believe me and still charged me with a total of $75 and yet being told that it was only $74.56. A year later, NO REFUND has been made. This clinic is just the worst!THE WORST fertility clinic one can go to. I had 3 treatment cycles done, 2 of which were IUI, no success. They based the timing of the IUI procedure from the doctors availability not by the patients status and ovulation period. Ended up being done by a PA and not by the doctor who they said was available to do the IUI. They also lack communication in every aspect. First, they expect you to know whats going on and not explain to you what the multiple ultrasounds and blood draws were for. They only began explaining when I complained (this was during the last IUI). Second, they do not communicate internally. The receptionist says that I can take the HCG blood test at 10days past IUI, while the doctors and nurses tell me it should be done at 14 days past IUI. Third, FINANCES. They are the worst at addressing payments and refunds. I have informed them that I have maxed out my insurance coverage and yet I was still charged THREE times. This clinic still owes me $75 and they only started processing the refund after 1 year which will take them 14-16 weeks to process a check from the day they FINALLY responded to me. One more thing is that they did not charge my husbands insurance during the time he did his lab panel tests in December. So we kept receiving bills from Natera amounting to almost $700 only because they failed to process it before and they now refuse to process it on their own and expect us to deal with Natera and settle the bill. THEY ARE THE WORST. Lastly, instead of being encouraging and keep patients hopeful and assess the current status and explain options that is better for the patient, they seem to want to push you to proceed with IVF (because they make so much money out of this procedure). Oh and one last thing, I had a Hysteroscopy done in December and the result were ERROR or cannot be processed (they said its due to not enough tissues after I said that I will file a lawsuit against this company) even though the doctor who did the surgery informed us that it was a HUGE polyp that was removed. How can a huge polyp not be enough to be tested? I ended up having to do a biopsy (which was extremely painful) because there was no way for them to test the removed polyp. I personally feel like they have lost the samples hence not being able to do a pathology test on it. Still in the process of finding a good lawyer to file a complaint against them. Save yourself and step away from this clinic. Wasted 1 yr of my infertility journey with them.
I am so grateful for my care team at Kindbody. We started our fertility journey in January 2023, and they helped us achieve our goal of having a child when we were having trouble. I cannot say enough amazing things about this clinic, and the people who work there. Because of Dr. Ekpo and her team, we have a healthy baby girl. I would recommend this fertility clinic every time.
The service we received was generally fine. Unfortunately, it didnt work for us.The low review is due to their billing department. Since we did not have the full cycle, they owe us a substantial refund of more than $5000. It has been 3 months and they have still not refunded our money. No one answers when I call their number and it just goes to voicemail. When I give times to call, they dont call. They originally told us anesthesia would be covered and then charged us for it. They told us another service would be one price and then charged a higher price for it.Absolutely terrible service after theyve gotten your money.
Had a great experience with all the staff at Kindbody! They made a not so easy process feel so much easier with great communication and care. I would highly recommend the team in Walnut Creek and San Francisco
I had a beautiful journey with kindbodyI’m forever grateful for the staff it’s truly amazing having our baby girl here with us and it’s all possible because of Kind Body the journey was exciting and I knew we was in good hands it was a choice that I’m forever thankful for the staff was like family and they truly care for us. And each visit was beautiful I definitely love this company and I’m so honored to have been able to have this experience if your searching for a miracle try Kind body
The communication is terrible. My medication schedule was never clear. The nurse and the doctor were not on the same page. Nothing felt right. When I had an emergency I could not get a hold of anyone . Very high turnover of stuff. Something is not right. It is a very scary place to be as a patient. As a person in the medical field, I felt scared the way they were running things. I cannot imagine how lost people feel who are not even aware of the mistakes being made . They really need to take all these reviews and make some changes. When all these people are saying the same thing , you know that changes need to be made .
A healthcare clinic specifically catered to women. Front greeter & nurse were super helpful & friendly, my physician explain things in details & went the extra length to answer all my questions. Procedure was quick & efficient. Probably the best healtcare experience I ever received in my life.
Has the potential to be amazing. I’m not having the greatest experience so far and it’s mostly due to lack of communication and lack of efficiency. The facility is beautiful and has great vibes, but the staff has room for growth. From the beginning, it’s been a snail’s pace for this process. Starting with Noelle N. part of the intake team not requesting records in a timely fashion and just not communicating very well overall. It’s like someone that’s lazy that you keep having to remind to do their job. Just getting our medical records transferred took over a month!Katie did a great job at taking over my care coordination to ensure that the rest of my intake would go smoothly and really had a great customer service angle initially, but this wasn’t consistent. But then onto the next hiccup, phlebotomy. I initially left them an internal review, saying that they were expert, but it turned out they didn’t even send my genetic testing causing a repeat visit and another 3 weeks wait. 2nd phlebotomist couldn’t get a vein after two attempts and went to get another phlebotomist that had me spit in a vial instead of drawing my blood. This wasn’t labeled, causing another 3 week delay. So now we don’t have my genetic testing and we say we’ll just waive it and test the embryos later so we can at least have a plan and meet with the doctor. In our meeting, Dr. Ekpo is blunt, cold and condescending and then keeps moving the goal post regarding what we need to do to start our medications since we’ve waived the optional genetic testing. I’m sure she’s smart, but I just don’t feel comfortable given the experience. The clinic often defers to something being policy when they aren’t clear in their process or communication causing additional frustration and false expectations.I had finally had it and asked for another Doctor since I had my intake consult with Dr. Alvarez who was much more personable, engaging and informative. Their resolution is to essentially hash it out with Dr. Ekpo or have my care transferred to another location and increase my 2.5 hour commute to 3 hours when 90% of the care performed is virtually. This hardly feels fair given I’ve already financially invested so much in this process. I’m just really disappointed in how my care has been handled given their errors and now when I voice my concerns I feel I’m treated like the problem. Definitely wouldn’t recommend if you have a sense of urgency or timeliness. There is one Dr. with a very blunt personality so if you’re looking for bedside manner, go elsewhere. We haven’t even gotten to the part where we go on the rollercoaster of making a baby and I’m already so overwhelmed. Started in July and still haven’t gotten embryos and we’re in late October. Really hoping for things to make a positive turn since we’re stuck here. Also, the messaging system needs some reworking and cohesion.Update: we are tired, banking our embryos and going to have them transferred elsewhere, just too much nonsense.Final Update: while Kindbody posting a response here was a joke, I never got a follow up email when I reached out. I feel like this clinic deserves an update, because I did choose to stay with them just given the hassle of transferring my eggs. The experience after intake for my egg retrieval/ frozen embryo transfer were much better than the initial appointments and becoming a patient getting medical records. So the front end needs the most work, but the clinical team portion there is a well oiled machine. They need double checks. Dr. Ekpo was better as things progressed and she’s definitely knowledgeable and I came out of this relatively unscathed and pregnant in Feb which was the goal. She is very blunt, take it or leave it.I had the worst phlebotomist experience here however, every week she would poke me knowing she couldn’t find a vein and then would call someone else. I wish they would just not have her draw me anymore and save the pain. As a nurse, her technique is off and she needs major coaching/retraining. I expected this to improve eventually, but it didn’t.
Booking an appointment with Kindbody in SF was the best decision. I wish they did more than just fertility! I honestly want to go to them for all my medical check ups and needs. Being someone who has anxiety about going to the doc, I was so impressed by their genuine care and was at ease every step of the way. They’re compassionate, thorough, well educated, efficient, and take THE TIME to explain every little detail. They even entertained my very talkative Dad who was waiting for me in reception. Love this place!
Cannot begin to describe the billing horrors; the dashboard is never updated with accurate and relavant health information; I was given the standard treatment with no personalized options for my situation and was overdosed in hormones by their standard practice. The disorganization and lack of communication concerning patient care is stressful and difficult to navigate.
I cant recommend Dr. Pedreso highly enough! I had the privilege of having her as my surgeon recently, and her knowledge and expertise truly impressed me. What initially began as a different surgical procedure than initially anticipated turned out to be a blessing in disguise, thanks to Dr. Pedresos sharp eye and thorough assessment.Throughout the entire surgical journey, Dr. Pedresos caring and compassionate demeanor made all the difference. She effortlessly put me at ease, addressing any worries or queries I had with patience and understanding. Knowing that she was always available to support me provided immense comfort during this critical time. But heres the best part: After nearly two long years of struggling to conceive, my partner and I finally received the incredible news that we were expecting. Miraculously, it happened after our very first attempt post-surgery, a testament to Dr. Pedresos exceptional skills and the positive impact she had on our lives.
I had initially moved into the city and was pleasantly surprised that Kindbody could see me, a new patient, as soon as the next day. I went in to get a check up and IUD consultation. Staff was super sweet and the physician who did my check up was knowledgeable and wonderful. I have never had an easier or better gynecologist experience than at Kindbody. I cant recommend them enough.
I love this place, BUT - they really need to change the closet where they draw your blood. It’s tiny and hot and they keep the door closed while they’re poking you with a needle. It’s the perfect storm for an anxiety attack. I’m typically unbothered by blood drawing, and even I was struggling in there. And they wonder why they have so many fainting patients…
I had a wonderful first appointment with Erica! I was surprised how warm and stylish the office felt, more of a spa vibe than a medical office. The staff was very friendly and supportive which helped ease my anxiety as I begin my egg freezing and fertility journey. I highly recommend the FIDI Kindbody!
I visited Kindbody for my first consultation just to understand the entire process. I had never thought about my own fertility before and they teach you squat in school. I met with Dr Pedroso who walked me through the the many options that woman or couple would have, including the less invasive procedures and tests before you even have to consider IVF.The thorough communication, the attentive staff, even the billing and reconciliation process and doctors and healthcare professions that I engaged with along the way were all top notch. I would recommended them to anyone who is just starting this journey, even if you’re not ready to start a family yet. I wish all ob/gyn offices, heck…all doctors offices, operated like they do.Note that they do not provided services after 10 weeks of pregnancy.
Easy to make an appointment, friendly staff, close to work, overall a great experience
Avoid this place at all costs! The nurses don’t return calls/messages. I’m not getting proper care during my cycle. I wish I listened to the other 1 star reviews and picked a different clinic.
This is definitely the facility you want to review fertility treatment from! Incredible staff. Doctors have great bedside manner. Very caring and explain all options well. Beautiful clean safe offices. Dr Keller Dr Dovey Nurse Nanette and all staff members are great humans!
I am an avid researcher when it comes to taking charge of my health and wellbeing. I reviewed many local fertility clinics and that lead me to believe I would be treated like a number, not a person. I initially came to KindBody because many reviews touted the patient centered professional care received at KindBody. After a 3 months with KindBody, I certainly didnt feel like a number, I felt like an afterthought. The doctors and staff at KindBody seem like very nice and competent people and I was excited about my egg freezing cycle. My experience turned into a failure in patient coordination between doctors and possibly staff that resulted in my loss of about six thousand dollars in medication and travel expenses I was told to purchase and plan.41 days elapsed in between a discussion of my migraine history between my doctors and the notification that I needed further evaluation before continuing with my planned cycle. Just 2 days before I was to fly to SF for my treatment.By the level of specificity in the communications I received, it feels like my file was not even reviewed again until maybe 4-5 days prior to my cycle. Most communications to me detailed IVF not the need and requirements of someone considering a gestational carrier as was my case. When someone is considering their reproductive future, they want a fertility center that, when its all said and done, they are left feeling confident with the treatment received and are empowered by their choices. KindBody certainly did not provide me with that level of care and respect.**UPDATE**I recently contacted my general physician with a need to see a neurologist for my migraines so that I would be able to pursue this egg freezing treatment. He told me this isnt even necessary and went above and beyond and called my new clinic, Center for Reproductive health in Spokane, to confirm. This supposed need to see a neurologist had no medical foundation. They did not refund my prepaid procedural costs (for 2 sessions) I had to open a dispute with my credit card company. Also as a final insult, I disputed a charge for one of the many doctors pre-procedure doctors visits (*that are not included in your procedural cost quoted on their website) that had to be cancelled due to KindBodys late notice documented above and they are trying to fight it when I never received the service and the late cancellation was their own fault. If interested, a play by play is posted on Yelp and their facebook page as google reviews has limited the length of my review posted here.
I scheduled an assessment with Kindbody to understand my current fertility health. The staff are professional, friendly, and the space was clean. Dr. Pedroso has excellent bedside manner and is prompt in her updates/responses via the Kindbody portal. She was warm, knowledgeable and comprehensive in her assessment, as well as in explaining what my results meant in terms of fertility. She took the time to explain in detail the various options available - I would highly recommend Dr. Pedroso.
This is an amazing fertility office! I felt so embarrassed going in, but all of the staff encouraged me, and made me feel very comfortable! The office is super clean and neat! They also picked a good company name, as they truly are kind people there!
Really positive experience. The place was beautiful, everyone was really friendly, and the clinicians were extremely knowledgable and really took the time to explain my results and walk we though my goals/options. This was a truly fantastic experience.
Follow up to my previous post. DO NOT come here! My initial experience has horrible but ti can not compare with the heat break of having the endocrinologist and billing team inform me insurance has amazing coverage and we should get started with IVF as soon as possible just to tell me 3 days latter that they read it wrong and I have no coverage.
Terrible experience, the person helping me was not a fertility specialist. She was a doctors assistant who was not very knowledgeable. She did not pay any attention to my answers and asked the same question 4 times. Didn’t explain any overall picture or make any plans, she tried to schedule me for a test that cannot be done until my next cycle. Do not recommend at all
Do yourself a favor and do not go to this clinic. They only see you as a number, they make you run tests that are not necessary, you think you are paying for them and then get a new bill. The doctor who saw me told me completely wrong info, it was debunked by 4 other doctors, separately. Complete waste of money, the only nice thing here is the overall decoration.
I loved everything about Kindbody. The building was pleasing and nicely decorated, the staff was very friendly and warm, and the practitioners were kind, knowledgable, and encouraging. I look forward to seeing them again.
Its been a wonderful experience so far. Dr. Dovey and her staff are so kind and understanding. They are thorough and have great communication. I know they will make our dreams of creating a family come true!
The office is very clean and comfortable. The staff members are all very caring and nice. The doctors are great. They really do care about each patient.
Amazing clinic for women health. The staff is really nice and the doctors really walk you through everything you might have questions about. Very personalized!
Had my first virtual consultation & it went great. Doctor was very thorough in learning about my health journey.
Wonderful resource for women who want to know more about planning to have children if they’re not ready yet. I love that Kindbody partners with Carrot for fertility benefits.
The billing here does not seem to work properly. They charge me more than they want to, dont know where my payment is, dont respond to messages and phone calls.
