We’ve only been to Dr. Merritt’s office once now, but everyone there was so lovely. The entire experience was very positive and we’re feeling really good about having them as our care team as we embark on our first pregnancy. Dr. Merritt was so attentive and sweet. She answered all of our questions with so much patience and kindness. Everyone made both myself and my husband feel welcome. We look forward to continuing to work with Dr. Merritt and her nurses.
Dr. Merritt is very knowledgeable and friendly. She answered all of my questions thoroughly. She gave me solid advice on my issues and she made the appointment easy and quick. You can tell she loves what she does because it shows through her attentive, warm, and friendly demeanor. Im glad I switched to her!
I gave birth to my son and this doctor delivered him.Although I was in labor for over 10 hours actively. I didnt recieved my epidural until I was a little over 5cm. At this point I only took the epidural because I was told that if for any reason an emergency occur they will have to put me to sleep to get my son. Remind you I wasnt in no distress or anything. It was just a what if. So I agreed I will not be put to sleep. I am a Doula, Medical Assistant and worked for hospitals. I know how something great can go wrong. Well my problem with this physical is. After birthing my son in which the epidural I got never took. I wasnt numb, I was able to move my legs freely and body, feel everything. I am thankful for because thats the experience I was looking for. It was at the end when it came to sewing me up because I tore she did so not realizing I wasnt numb. So I said ooch in response to pain, but she kept going. Then I cussed and said wth I can feel that. So my husband said something too at that time ( saying you dont hear her?) Following this she looked irritated and then somewhat throw her hands up. The nurse had to be the one to suggest the lidocaine for the topical applying in order to processed. To me this was very un humanitarian as OB. That was the worst part of my labor was the aftermath. To feel the feeling of the needle & thread piercing my woman parts and the heat from the thread. It was about a good 3 rotations before the numbing medicine was suggested and received.
Was super nervous about meeting a new doctor, but as soon as Dr.Merritt walked in the room something about her whole presence calmed me down. Very nice lady I’m gladI’ve chose Dr.Merritt :)
I have a rare condition and Dr. Merritt takes the time to discuss everything with me and ensure I have what I need to manage accordingly. She is probably the best physician I’ve seen.
I could not have had a better experience with Dr. Merritt. She was thorough, kind, and very patient with my litany of questions at every appointment. It was truly the greatest prenatal and birthing experience. The nurses in her office and during the c section were excellent as well. Totally put me at ease the entire time. A+++.
I loved Dr Merritt! She was always friendly and easy to talk with when it came to my pregnancy concerns and questions! She took good care of me during my pregnancy
Dr. Merritt is an outstanding Ob-Gyn and I was thankful to have her care for me during my recent pregnancy. She is very knowledgeable and took time to discuss imaging, test results, etc at each visit. Her kind but confident demeanor put me at ease during my pregnancy and delivery. The nurses and office staff were helpful and efficient with minimal wait times during appointments. Highly recommend Dr. Merritt and her team!
Dr. Merritt is a kind and caring physician. She’s a great listener and a wealth of knowledge!
Dr. Merritt and her team took such wonderful care of me during my last pregnancy. Her nurse, Selina, was very helpful with paperwork and answering questions. Dr. Merritt is easy to talk to during visits. She is very knowledgeable and up to date on her recommendations. Would highly recommend her for any pregnant patient or GYN patient. Thanks you again for taking such good care of me during my pregnancy and afterwards.
Dr Merritt was my OB for both of my children! She is an amazing person and her knowledge is extensive when it comes to delivering babies. My first baby was being a little stubborn and didnt want to come down and it looked like I would have to have a c-section, which was not part of my plan, (I know I know youre not supposed to plan these things lol) but Dr. Merritt used a special type of method to help open everything up so my daughter could enter the world as I intended. When I was pregnant with my son she received an offer to move to where she is now but stayed at her old practice while myself and a few of her other patients had their 2nd babies, just so we could be comfortable with her. I am on baby #3 (last one) and I am seriously considering the 3 hour drive to keep her as my doctor I love her so much! 10 stars if I could ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This was my first time seeing Dr. Merritt. I love how open and warming she is 💙💙
I have a billing issue that Ive been trying to correct for two straight months. Was sent by Dr. Merritt to another office location, same overall practice. I was told (by Dr.s Merritts nurse) there would be no charge for the visit because it was a retest. I confirmed on the day that I arrived at Alexandra Ruizs office in Richmond Hill that it was to be a no charge visit. It is even written in the office note from that day by Ms. Ruiz. I have contacted both Womens Care office locations multiple times via my patient portal, I have tried leaving messages for the office managers at both office locations, I have created tickets in the billing portal, etc. Dr. Merritts nurse confirmed about a month ago that I was not supposed to have a charge, but it still has not been removed. The worst part is that billing says they are waiting to hear back from the office, but they are not getting information back. Its very frustrating to be in this situation. I filed a complaint with HCA Corporate this week, and I hope to update this message with news that my billing error has been resolved. As the patient, I have gone out of my way to reach out and get this corrected. Based on what I was told, the charges should have never been applied to my account in the first place. I should not have to work to this extreme to correct the billing error. If a doctor ever tells me something will be no charge again, I will get that in writing in advance before I take their word for it. Again, happy to update this once correct. If you dont see an update, it has not been addressed.
I can not say enough good things about Dr. Merritt. She is super friendly and the sweetest. She makes you feel extremely comfortable, like you’ve know each other for years and she was very thorough when explaining all my options to me. If you are looking for OBGYN Dr. Merritt is your girl.
I was really looking forward to seeing Dr. Merritt. Unfortunately I did not feel welcome getting past the rude receptionist. I tried to be patient with her as she kept raising her voice until I had to raise mine back. She refused to let me talk to the office manager because I wasnt a patient. Office manager was kind and had the information I was looking for. Thank you
I recently called to see if they had any opening for new patients. I was told they did. Got a call back the next day saying that I couldnt switch my doctor because I had Dr Osbourne for a different pregnancy two years ago. I had an absolutely horrible experience with him. So, instead of providing care for a different pregnancy was told that since he is in the same practice I cant switch to someone else in the office. At this point wouldnt recommend anyone in the Provident building.
One of the Best Doctors I have ever met, She actually cares for her patients and their well being. I have the up most respect for her.
I called to make my annual appointment and the lady I spoke to had no phone etiquette whatsoever. She was incredibly rude when it came to answering questions.. Hopefully the visit goes smoothly.
One of my favorite doctors…fabulous service. Kind, attentive, & knowledgeable.
