I recently spoke to a friend about having my hysterectomy and I got very inspired to write a review about Dr Marrs. She’s performed three surgeries on me over the span of 15 years for endometriosis and related issues and all three were a ten outta ten . Zero complications and very fast recovery due to her skills as a surgeon. She and her team make you feel heard and important and like you’re her favorite patient. With her you are not just another number. She’s extremely caring and compassionate. She’s absolutely amazing and my life is absolutely pain free now because of her!I would recommend her hands down!My hysterectomy went so smoothly I was able to eat Chick fila in my hospital bed the next morning 😂
Dr. Marrs is great. Not only did she provide me with a thorough plan during a pre op appt, she is friendly, engaging, and listens. Just had a robotic hysterectomy and she and the swedish op team were amazing. I traveled 2.5 hours to see her and would do it again. If you need a gynecologic surgery, would highly recommend her!
I had a hysterectomy surgery performed by Dr. Marrs and her team! To say I had the best experience sounds like an understatement!During the pre-op appointment, she clearly explained to my hubby & I what to expect & what the procedure entailed. Her professionalism, skills, attention to details etc were second to none. She answered all the questions we had, she was thorough & patient. The surgery went well. I had 5 incisions. They all healed fast.I would highly recommend doctor. Marrs. The peace of mind that came with knowing that I was in the hands of a great team was priceless!
I am about and hour and a half north of Seattle and was hesitant to have the procedure far from home but I did doctor shopping for having both my fallopian tubes removed for sterilization and upon meeting Dr. Marrs I felt very confident. I almost wish I had more reasons to visit Dr. Marrs. She performed my sterilization last month, her bedside manner is outstanding, her professionalism is beyond compare. I felt safe and fully considered. She is gentle and patient, attuned and honest. If you have a uterus and are looking for sterilization she is who I highly recommend.
Dr. Marrs is excellent! I went to see her, knowing that I wanted a hysterectomy. She listened to me and agreed that surgery was the right option. She carefully explained the procedure and what to expect during recovery. Her office staff were patient and helpful with my medical leave paperwork. My surgery was very straightforward and my recovery was a breeze. Dr. Marrs, as well as all of the nurses, anesthesiologists, and care techs at Swedish were professional, personable, and attentive. I went back to work at a busy boat repair shop about five weeks after surgery with no discomfort or pain. I am grateful for the positive experience and happy with my results.
I have been a patient of Dr. Marrs since 2008 and would not go anywhere else. She is wonderful as is Cristina and the rest of the team. I have had 3 surgeries performed by Dr. Marrs. She is incredibly kind, extremely thorough, a great listener and an all around fabulous person. I highly recommend Dr. Marrs.
Dr. Jesse Marrs did an amazing “pelvic” surgery. I don’t want to be more specific on the internet. I was stressed enough that I was lucky enough to virtually meet one of her past patients because she was seeing the Virginia specialist I had when I lived there. I especially appreciated that Dr. Marrs made present day journal articles available to me. I generally felt I was getting the right surgery for me.Ahead of my surgery plan it was also incredibly useful that Dr. Marrs quickly set up a virtual consult with me, it was a very high quality appointment.Dr. Marrs is my best doctor in Seattle. It’s been really hard to find a doctor that doesn’t belittle my medical circumstances. Thanks to Dr. Marrs I now feel much better in my day to day life.Caution: Working with Swedish Hospital on billing has been a nightmare. I don’t know if it’s because Cigna is still trying to underbill because it certainly looks like duplicate billings. Just know to hold out for a final bill and clear that with your insurance and the doctor’s office and insurance. I would do this all over again if I needed to so long as Dr. Marrs is the doctor treating me. I’ve been her patient since about 2011 with pauses for living elsewhere and changes to the exam guidelines / my medical needs.
Dr Marrs was recommended to me by a dear friend. Dr Marrs has been everything I had hoped for. In my past, Ive had 3 separate Obgyn Drs who were difficult for me to deal with, so I am normally apprehensive when trying a new doctor. However, with the glowing remarks from my friends recommendations, I felt extremely comfortable with Dr. Marrs. Dr. Marrs is very caring and concerned about any questions or concerns I might have had. I was extremely happy with my surgical results and her care following surgery. She is very welcoming and I have already recommended her to others. Thank you Dr. Marrs, and your care team for your excellent medical attention.
Dr. Marrs really made me comfortable during all of my office visits. She explained everything in detail about my surgery. She visited me before surgery and after surgery to make sure I didnt have any questions or concerns. My after-surgery appointments was great! I would highly recommend Dr. Marrs.
I recently needed surgery for the first time in my life and Dr. Marrs and her care team made the experience a good one for me. Dr. Marrs listened and answered any questions I had. After surgery I had to call in for a couple concerns and she and her care team were so compassionate and helpful. I highly recommend Dr.Marrs.
Dr Marrs and the staff at Swedish hospital were extraordinary. I had a very positive experience. Preparation for the surgery moved along quickly as each medical personnel explained their role and carried out their specific task. Their kindness and confidence put me at ease. After surgery, Dr Marrs came to my recovery room and went over her findings before I was released. At home, I also received a phone call from the surgery center checking in to see how I was doing.
She is great I was well cared for by her and her staff and crew. She understands and has compassion for you and your concerns about a hysterectomy surgery. I am 43 and recovered very well that I got to go home. And 3 days at home woke up with no pain. But you have to keep your body moving afterwards so you can get better faster. 3 weeks post operation and I feel great. I am glad I found her on my own because the first doctor I had we were not on the same page. Doctor Marrs is amazing I wish I could give her 10 stars 🌟 🤩. Thank you again Dr. MARRS
Dr.Marrs is a very amazing doctor. I had her for my robotic fibroid surgery and she made the entire experience very comfortable and efficient. She is an overall very friendly person, as she didnt scare us about certain parts of the process as some doctors do, and she was always smiling and happy which also rubbed off on me too. I would definitely recommend her to anyone that is need of any minimally invasive gynecological surgery.
Dr. Marrs is an excellent surgeon. I had a cyst removed from my left ovary. She and her whole team were very informative and reassuring. If you are overweight and you need a good surgeon who won’t shame you, this is your woman. She is also LGBT+ friendly.
Dr. Marrs and her team are fantastic. I felt well cared for throughout the entire process. Dr. Marrs treated me with kindness and compassion, and she and her team are highly responsive. I would recommend Dr.Marrs to anyone in need of the services she provides.
I did not have a good experience with Dr. Marrs and have been meaning to write a review for some time. I had gone to her for hormone issues and excessive bleeding. My main goal was to not make the hormone cycling worse and try to even things out. Two options were offered to me: taking a shot that would put me immediately into menopause and having a hysterectomy. I thought those were extreme and kept asking about how both of those would put me into a huge hormone storm.I told Dr. Marrs I would be thinking about it in order to get out of there. I asked around and found out both of these options were not good for my goals, which is what I suspected. Her office called me for a year to try and schedule the shot. I felt unheard and extremely disappointed that she was more interested in trying a new procedure in place of addressing my needs. I would never recommend Dr. Marrs to anyone and could not be more disappointed in my experience.
Uterus havers, let me tell you about Dr. Marrs. She listened to me. She believed my pain. She worked hard to help me reach my goal of a hysterotomy. She and her team helped me fight thought the paperwork. She and her team helped me get on the right hormones. No non-sense. All treatment. I didnt feel pressured into my choices, I was supported and educated. She spoke to me frankly and gently. My first endometriosis diagnosis was 21 years ago and I finally have my life back. The painful ultrasounds, nights in so much pain I couldnt feel my feet, the desperation, the agony; gone because of this talented surgeon and her equally talented team. 10 of 10. Would recommend.
Dr Marrs is both sharp and thoughtful, she listens to patients concerns and is mindful of their goals. Unlike many providers out there today, she actually cares about her patients and their outcomes.
As an endometriosis patient and advocate, I feel obligated to educate as many women as I can by sharing my story. I initially switched to Dr. Marrs, after seeing her partner Dr. Winner, as I was less than impressed with Dr. Winners bedside manner. I will say that I really liked Dr. Marrs bedside manner and personality. She was very kind and humble, and I appreciated that she took her time talking with me. My issue is with the lack of surgical skill.Prior to surgery, their team had ordered an MRI to determine if any of my endometriosis was detectable. I was told that it was negative and showed nothing, but Dr. Marrs agreed to do the excision surgery anyway.I had excision surgery to remove endometriosis, during which Dr. Marrs felt confident that she got all of the endo. During a post op appointment, I expressed concern with the amount of pain I was still in. At which point I was told that there was no way that my pain was residual endo and that I needed to go to a pain management clinic.I waited a few months and then I pursued an actual endometriosis specialist in Portland. I brought my MRI to this surgeon who immediately picked up on a large abdominal mass, which both Dr. Winner and Dr. Marrs missed. He was also able to visualize it on his ultrasound machine. He suggested we do surgery to remove that and any remaining endometriosis. I just had surgery last week, and the abdominal mass that was missed was quite large and required a good bit of my abdominal muscle be removed. In addition to that, there was quite a bit of endo missed as well. I am still dealing with the emotional toll this has taken on me, as well as the physical toll of needing another surgery, an extensive one at that. I sincerely hope that no one else has to go through this in the future.
Dr.Marrs is amazing!!! I certainly recommend her and her office. She answered all my questions and took my issue seriously as others did not.
One of the best Doctor I’ve ever seen for my health issues! Very compassionate and friendly and straightforward.
Lovely physician, very knowledgeable, considerate and helpful working through options and best course of action pre and post surgery. Would recommend.
Attentive, kind, and works with a wonderful team of people. Best healthcare experience I’ve had!
Dr Mars if i was able to give you 10 i will thank you for everything. Best of the best doctor
Wonderful care! Dr Marrs is the best!
