Phenomenal to say the least. The Staff were warm and welcoming. We waited nearly 5min before our Ultrasound. Quiet and modern. They were happy to answer all of our questions w/ a Consultant at the end 5 stars
I love part of the staff, but some of the people here intentionally trigger me. I want to be with my baby in a beautiful time. The staff has been treating me like a 3rd wheel in visits, that was confirmed when I went through the labor process. If you are a partner, expect no support.
UPDATE: You were wrong. I did not have accreta. The placenta came right out. Be careful about putting so much faith in the UW and writing off medical negligence because they pay you. I wonder how many lives of the women impacted by UW you’ve destroyed by backing them so blindly.I was told by the provider that because I’m at UW, I can’t transfer care since they’re well equipped. The whole point of me being here was for a second opinion referral, not a Transfer of Care so I suppose it ultimately doesn’t make a difference to me but management should be aware that their providers are turning away new clients.Unfortunately, the provider I saw here for a second opinion referral informed us that she’s associated with my current clinic as an instructor and legal aid. She also completed her residency and schooling at UW. Therefore, the second opinion was likely tainted.I now have to seek a third opinion outside of Seattle. She also noted that a Transfer of Care is not possible due to short staffing. This is highly concerning especially considering Swedish advertises to look after those with high risk pregnancies. It’s terrifying to think the hospital may not have the right providers to assist in emergencies at any given time.
This is the worst prenatal US place, we fall sleep dut warm humidity at the recipients. Staff was rude, I feel like my family discriminationted against our religion and skin color. I will not recommend this a place.
My wife had the first ultrasound in her third trimester here and the tech, Kayla, was the perfect mixture of attentive, calming, competent, and kind. We so appreciate people like her and just wanted to share our overwhelmingly positive experience.
We had a great experience at our appointment yesterday. Everyone was nice and polite from the moment we walked in. We were nervous about the appointment due to the lack of information given to us by the OB office that referred us. Our ultrasound tech was wonderful and explained everything she did and was looking at. The doctor came in and was so friendly and made us feel so much better about our situation and he just reassured us that everything was going to be ok. All of our questions were answered and we felt heard about our concerns. We could not have asked for a better visit.
I was referred to this clinic after an abnormal ultrasound, I live in a small town in Alaska so we are referred out for most things. The outcome of the ult was not good as we had suspected - but the staff throughout the clinic was magnificent, especially Tessa the genetic counselor. They set up every appointment for you, they answered any and all of my questions, they set up my other appointments outside of Swedish and prepared me for that. I could not be more grateful to have been sent to them, I cant thank them enough.
When I was sent here I was very nervous based on these terrible reviews but I needed to come here to make sure I set the record straight. Yes, they do NOT answer the phone. I learned this the hard way (on hold for an hour) but if you leave a message they really do get back to you. Every single person I interacted with there was so kind and gentle with me. I needed to see a genetic counselor and Ursula went (and continues) to go above and beyond. All the nurses and doctors were great and kind and professional. I hope I never have to come back here again, but they gave me amazing care.
Grateful to this place for taking care of my family but if youre the father, be wary of security. They seemed to harass me at every turn, asking where I was going, even after I clearly had a wristband. One of them even started to question me in front of the vending machines and I had to ask whats with the 3rd degree! If you cant trust whos in your lobby, find a better system so that people like me dont feel like they just got racially profiled.
I went to Swedish Maternal Fetal Medicine weekly for months and every single appointment I had could not have been a better experience. They are so on top of everything, I felt so well taken care of. The doctors and nurses took their time to talk to my husband and I and made sure we understood everything, and we never felt rushed. Giving birth at Swedish was an equally amazing experience. Super thankful for everyone who helped us.
To remind my entire pregnancy we received great care from the nursing staff at the center. They were the kindest and most compassionate nurses. I really love Dr Tran she was fantastic. I wasnt crazy about all the doctors but most of the doctors were good enough. We had a hard long delivery but my emergency safe section was successful. In the aftercare was good as well.
Lauren was exceptional as our genetic counselor. She was very knowledgeable about our situation with an absent nasal bone and was able to explain about the ultrasound much better than our seaobgyn doctor. I would have given 5 stars but the clinic is so hard to reach. I waited on hold for over 25 minutes once and was told another time that the appointment booking receptionist wasnt in 2 mins after I had received a voicemail instructing me to call and schedule an appointment.
This place is so disorganized and takes no accountibility . The Director and 1 of the 2 rececptionists showed no compassion. I am shocked with the amount of mistakes they made for a simple appt. All I need was an ultrasound for some time sensitive genetic testing. Here is the list of mistakes they made:1.) misplaced/lost my ultrasound referral. Iinstead of them contacting me to scheule the appt like their supposed to, I had to contact them.2.) They messed up on scheduling my appt. I scheduled for a 8 am appt today but when I checked in, the receptionist said my appt is scheduled for 7:30 am.3.) I never got an appt reminder call the day before to remind me of my appt and the direction to have a full bladder when I come in. Luckily I remembered last minute.4.) They do not have my current contact information in the system. They have my phone number and address from my childhood home that I left over 10 years ago and is 4.5 hours away from here. I guess they never asked to verify my contact information when making the appt and didnt bother to read the refferral my midwife sent to make sure they have the correct information.5.) They wouldnt squeeze me into their schedule and told me to reschedule. Instead of making me wait while they try to fix the problem, they coulve had me in and just be behind with thier schedule 15 min which they can most likely catch up since some patients will take less time than the the max time and I was there earlier than my appt time. Tehy told me I had to reschedule. They only offered me a few appts but none of them worked except a 7:30am for next Thursday. The Director told them they dont do the type of procedure I was getting at 7:30 am since the lab doesnt open until 9 am. Well...then why, did you schedule me for 7:30 am today instead of the time I requested and scheduled of 8 am??? Contradicting themselves.6.) The type of test I was getting is time sensitive and can only be done 11-14 weeks so they pretty much cut me close since I am almost past that time. I couldve got me in earlier if they didnt misplace/lose my referral.7.) They could only get me in at 10 am at another company that I do not have a referral to. I had to call into work to tell them I would be late and caused my husband to miss his work meetings. They told me they are not responsible for the charges at this other location and didnt offer to call my midwife to help get a referral for this other location or my insurance to see if they can work something out. Now, I might be stuck with an expensive bill because of Swedishs mistakes.8.) not sure if the lab tech knew what he was doing. My arm is bruised from the puncture. I talked to my lab friend, and they think they punctured all the way through the vein and pulled back a little.I do not recommend this place to any mom to be, if they are this careless about something so important, how are you supposed to them with your OB care? The Director is so terrible in trying to de-esclating the situation. He didnt show any compassion to care enough about my health to actually do something about this situation. Some of the things he said made it situation even worse where it caused me to breakdown. Even the other patients in the lobby were showing more compassion than he was. Not to mention the 2 receptionists were taking in Tagalog so I didnt know if at one point they were talking about me; unprofessional. Again, please do yourself a favor, go somewhere else if you want to get quality care and avoid unnecssary stress.
Sandy has it right in her review. This place is disorganized and lacks a strong service culture/sense of ownership. Went here for an early ultrasound, for which there was an abnormal result, and the doctor who read the results (and is the only person authorized to analyze the results) didn’t even come in to talk through what he/she saw. Instead, we were forced to play a game of telephone with someone who did not analyze the result and was not a great communicator. This place was below the standard of care I would expect at such an institution. Very disappointing.
The doctors, genetic counselors, and social workers were all amazing. They squeezed me in for appts, were kind, sensitive, informative, and amazing. I experienced a loss and Swedish MFM and the nurses at Swedish first hill were amazing. If you have a high risk pregnancy go here.
Men, leave the cologne at home. This is not the place to show up drowning in it. Making a bunch of pregnant women sick with your over the top scent.
I had my doubts about the team approach, but here, it works. And works extremely well. The consistency of care, nothing but solutions to my problems, follow through on everything and when it came time to make a critical decision on my care, they didnt hesitate. That decision may very well have saved myself and my baby from longterm issues or possibly worse.
Horrible bait and switch. The counselor recommended chromosomal testing and warned us that it may cost $500. Then they billed us $6,000, and pointed out that I had already signed an agreement to pay whatever they wanted. Incredibly dishonest practices here.
Really great and helpful when you’re there but are impossible to get ahold of unless you have at least 45 mins to wait on hold. I’ve never waited less than 45 mins on hold to talk to someone. I’ve currently been on hold for over an hour and a half. When you’re high risk and pregnant I think it is important to be able to talk to your doctor and or call your doctor back apparently they don’t feel the same.
Everyone was welcoming, patient and thorough.
Long wait and rude staff
