After reading the reviews I was going to cancel the appointment, but in the end decided to risk it. The experience turned out to be great - we arrived 10 minutes before the appointment time and I was admitted shortly after, my wife had to wait for about 15 minutes. We both had a very pleasant experience (with different nurses) - the blood draw was quick and painless. A lot of people attach pictures of hematoma, so I am attaching mine as well for reference. Definitely recommend this location, the current 2/5 rating is way underrated compared to the experience we had.
I’ve been to this location twice recently and the staff was always friendly. Brief, but friendly. My first appointment was on a Thursday afternoon and I only had to wait for 10 minutes after my appointment to be seen. My second appointment was a Saturday and that was another story. I had an appointment in the middle of the day and when I arrived, there were like 30 people waiting. Even with an appointment, I had to wait 40 minutes after my appointment to be seen. Staff was definitely stressed, but some customers were honestly also pretty rude to them.My appointments themselves were very quick and they drew blood just fine. The one thing I do not like about this location is that there are only iPads to check in on, no actual person. If you do not have a US ID, it gets a bit tricky to check in.
I had to add this once I saw the reviews. I’ve been going here for 7 or so years and never had an issue. The people are professional and usually lovely! I’ve never waited more than 5 minutes past my appointment. That’s why it’s my go to office.
My husband had an appointment scheduled at 6:40 am, and when he got there it turned out that his appointment did not show up. The woman, instead of helping him, told him to make another appointment with a bad face and a bad attitude. A person who had an appointment also helped him, but they could not do anything for my husband... I feel that if they are not happy with their job, they should give the space to another person who does like their job and can help people who sometimes do not know what they have to do.
I was very nervous about having my bloodwork here after reading some of the other reviews, but my experience was totally fine. I arrived at 9:10am (for a 9:10am appointment), and once I completed the self check-in, I waited for at most 5 minutes before being called in. The person taking my blood was super pleasant, and even checked in with me to see how I was doing mid-way thru the blood draw (I had to fill about 10 tubes). I was on my way home by 9:35am.
Took my daughter for simple blood test that her doctor ordered on Thursday afternoon. Self check in and then waited 20 minutes (walk in) and phlebotomist was pleasant but obviously doesn’t know how to draw blood from an easy vein on a healthy 19 year old!Stay safe and go somewhere else!
Today I was dropping off a sample here, at Quest Diagnostics. I praise Natalie for her patience and customer service as I wasnt able to make an appointment online or by phone. She truly made it possible for me to get this test in ASAP.
I came for a blood draw and it was a quick and painless experience thanks to Anthony and Maya! They found a vein right away and I was on my way within 5 minutes. Facility is clean and easy to find.
I just had a blood test a few days ago, and the service was extremely poor. The nurse was incompetent; she couldn’t find the vein and it felt like she was digging with the needle in the flesh of my arm. I definitely won’t go there again, and even lodging a complaint was useless—they simply ignored it. btw gave one star just because there’s no option for 0 star.
Save yourself the nightmare and go to a different location even if it’s less convenient. Incorrect instructions followed by extreme rudeness. At least one woman who works here lacks basic professionalism and human empathy. I tried to drop off a sample for my sick baby before work, and I followed the instructions posted on the wall to check in to drop off a sample. 20min later a lady comes out and says I need to check in differently (not according to the instructions written on the wall). She clicked through everything really fast, so I didn’t notice she was making an appointment for me an hour later. There is nobody in the waiting area to ask any questions. During that time, a woman with an appointment who was waiting with me needed to use the bathroom for which you need a key, and there was nobody to ask. 15min later, I noticed my baby’s name on the appointment board. I was already late for work so the next time she came out I politely asked her if it was really going to be another hour before I could just drop off a sample. She curtly said yes. I realized the sample wasn’t going to be good by the time I would be able to drop it off, so I threw it away and went to leave. She then stopped me and told me to throw it away somewhere else! First you give me incorrect instructions, then you act like I did something wrong, then you make an appointment for me without telling me I’m going to have to wait 1.5hrs, and then to top it all off, I can’t use your garbage can to throw away sealed and bagged samples? You are either inhuman or so jaded and immature that you treat strangers like garbage as a coping mechanism.
Didn’t make an appointment but was seen in 10 minutes after check in. Everyone was cordial!
They refuse to take you if you don’t get there right before 4:30 pm.They should say so on their website. Their website says open til 5:00pm.THEY LOCK THEIR DOORS AT 4:30PM!!!
I came in this morning at 7 AM. I was told to come here to take a urine test for a pre-employment, screening. I totally didn’t understand what was going on. I was sent an email from the employer just to come here to take a urine sample. I didn’t know an appointment wasn’t made for me. They have kiosk machine for you to check in. I thought that I already had an appointment so there’s no one at a desk. So I have knock on the door and There is a woman by the name of Donna came to me and was speaking to me with a very nasty ATTITUDE and is very unprofessional. If someone needs help, you should be able to help them out. Talking to them in a disrespectful tone as if I were a child or if I have no type of common sense once again, if you have bad customer service these jobs are not for people like if you don’t like your job just stay home.
I felt unsafe during my time in the waiting room due to other guest. The phlebotomist witness the issue I was dealing with and did nothing. The were also rude to me taking the side of the person who verbally threatened me.
Zero stars.30 min wait after checking for appointment. Then the person brings me to the room, no hello, nothing, not wearing a badge, not introducing herself, looking down at me, complete discrimination from the start. Tells me im not in the system. And then refuses to look at my quest official order with the bar code. Tells me she doesnt have to take care of me. She doesnt need to tell me her name. Then they put me in another room with no explanations. This is 40 min after my appointment time and more than 40 min after i checkin. Then someone reasonable came to me and explained lab orders from a different state have to be emailed first to a specific quest email address for them to receive it because the quest systems dont communicate between states. This was my last time using quest. I also dont know why quest is preferred by many hospital systems. This is about time to let patients have a choice and I will provide the choice to my patients and fax orders to the place of their choices. Thank you so much Jackie for being there and saving the day. 1h later my blood was drawn.
The worst experience ever.I’ve been going there for many years, but my last visit was the worst. The person who performed the blood work wasn’t a professional. He needs to practice more on fake arms, not on real people. First time in my life I got this hematoma and bruised arm. Can’t bend and lift the arm. This is the 3rd day since the blood work was done.
The woman who made me blood with test was very rude and not polite with me (apt on Friday March 15, 2024, at 9.40) , after blood test I have large bruise. Also - all my stuff I had to put on the floor. Even there is no chair or shelf for the clothes and your bag/phone.
I do not recommend going here with a baby. My son needed blood drawn for an allergy test. They were unsuccessful on the first arm but were able to get an entire vile in the second arm. I come to find out a week later that there wasnt enough blood, and we were unable to get conclusive results on the test. Now we will have to get blood drawn again on our 7-month-old.
Got my blood drawn here this morning and it was great! I was so nervous and hate getting blood taken but the man who took mine was friendly, funny, quick and I felt no pain. I had an 8:30 appointment and was done by 9:10 despite it being very busy. Other Google reviews scared me coming here but it was probably the best experience I’ve had getting blood taken so far.
Went to drop off, had to get back to my car for my drivers license and when I came back in the door was locked 10 minutes early
Me and my two kids were walk ins and were taken care of even ahead of schedule! What a relief since we were running late for school. They were all so kind. And José was very gentle with my 5 year old and 8 year old. He was very pleasant and efficient! We will return for future blood work!
You cant just drop off the sample. Have to make a walk-in appointment and wait for 20 min. Really?!
Was there for 2 hours and could not get help, always backed up always short staffed.
I was at Summer St location twice in the past week and cant say anything negative about it. Place was clean, awaiting customers had their mask on, and phlebotomists were very pleasant. Would definitely go again.
Absolutely the worst place you can go to. I waited from 12:40 to 2:00 pm. I was only allowed to check in a couple of minutes before my appointment. Then the wait was supposed to be 50 minutes so they asked for me to wait outside but they would text and let me know when I would be seen. I waited and 10 minutes before the time was up I came back in the office because I never received a text and did not want to miss my time. As I came in the office I saw that my name was at the first appointment but they kept calling people after my name. Then they added more time to my waiting time. I am beyond upset. I just waisted 2 hours just waiting around these disgusting people to call my name and they never did.
DO NOT use this place. Unprofessional and bad manners. Traumatized my daughter with her draw and to top it off had her place her urine sample on the top in front of EVERYONE in the building. She was embarrassed. Shame on all the workers there. I used the one in Darien for years and had good service this was horrendous.
I was very skeptical of going after reading the reviews but my experience was exactly the opposite! You can self check-in as you enter, if you have an appointment or walk-ins welcome too but have more waiting time as they prioritize people with appointments. (Wait period for people with appointments is approximately 10-15 mins, 20mins or longer for walk-ins)The lady who drew my blood was gentle (dont recall the name) was very patient. It was like a breeze!
Wish I had checked the reviews here before going to this location. Worse experience ever. Had an appointment but was not called in until almost an hour later. The system is lacking and they tell you they have no control over the screen showing the sign ups or the appointment delays. Staff should be apologizing to customers for the delays but if you show any frustration they give you attitude. Will not longer be using QD.
Don’t expect to be in and out and you’ll be fine. I made an appointment online two days beforehand and checked in from my car before I went upstairs to wait. The waiting room has 4 spaced out chairs, two check in tablets, and a huge tv with the order and estimated wait time for each person that has checked in. Due to the limited amount of seating, I did spend 10 mins or so waiting in the hallway before I got to sit down. 3 mins later I was called in. The guy (I don’t recall his name) was really pleasant and gentle while drawing blood. This this was not the experience I was expecting after looking at all the other recent reviews.
I had a great experience here on April 16th 2022. Checked in by scanning my appointment QR code, was seen immediately by a lovely and very professional lady for a blood draw, was in and out in 10 mins. I bruise easily and am always worried about inept techs leaving me with a painful arm for weeks, but the lady at this location was excellent. Got my results in fast through the app.
Terrible experience! They lost my urine sample, I never got the results. My husband has been waiting for his for over 2 weeks now. I can’t get to talk to a real person. I have filled a form online and only got a automated response via email based on key words, the response had nothing to do with what I was asking. The phlebotomist started laughing and made a joke after my husband told him our address because the house number was 69. Super unprofessional.Never going back here.
Such a horrible place. I wish I could give negative starts to show how bad they are! Waiting time is long with or without appointment. There is no focus, no care about your needs or safety, no one at a desk or even to enforce mask wearing. Normally I’m respectful and calm but when your at a quest diagnostic in a Covid era we live in MASKS should be strictly enforced. The woman who helped me was miserable, no personality and had a horrible attitude. Plan on being there for at least a hour even with a appointment
This is a HORRIFYING place. Both Stamford locations had such horrible customer service. Their solution was to consolidate into a new space that made it impossible for patients to speak to anyone, speak to the ipad. After 50min, when you do get past the ipads, you face horrible, angry people with needles who can never seem to find your doctors order, and shout at you! Good luck if you have kids, my kid left this place traumatized. Then there are the billing issues. Except for 2 exceptional ladies here, they should tear down the place and start over. I blame management for poor design and management of employees. Just my opinion!
The staff here are curt, uninformative, unhelpful, and aspire only to waste the patient’s time. There is no urgency to perform tests, and they default to asking people to come back on another day. They performed 0 tests during the 30min I was in the waiting room, when finally the staff popped out of the door to curtly say: “we can’t take any of you” and quickly closed the door again before anyone could understand why or what to do. No questions allowed.Quest is lucky they are a monopoly in this area.
This place is efficient and the personnel are nice. It’s also convenient that they provide appointment very early in the morning. My only complaint is the tough sticky tape used to hold the cotton ball over punctured area. Guessing bandaids ran out? The tape used was so tough against skin - had to use lukewarm water to release!
My review has gone up today from the review of last year. Donna behind the desk was courteous and professional. I did not have to wait the 15 mins that their board stated, but only 5 and Michelle drew my blood painlessly and was so friendly. Glad I returned.
Waited for two hrs for my “text”!, Which I was supposed to get when they were ready for me. After two hrs, I asked why such a long wait when I had an appointment? The response was attitude and was told that I was skipped! No reason why… just skipped. Not only was I skipped but also I was going to have to wait for another 45 mints!!!Super rude!
This is not my real name , but I usually get drug tests here for work and its impossible for me to test positive for opioids. I came in and ended up with a girl named Sophia, who was unprofessional and probably hating , and I know for a fact she did something to my urine to make it test positive for codeine. In case shes reading this, just know, my program thinks its false, and knows I take meds to prevent me (a shot not just a pill) relapsing, and I still have my job :) dont test here with Sophia. Everyone else is good. I complained about her too. She should be fired .
Unbelievable!!! Absolutely worst experience ever. First off they have a jammed pack waiting room even if you have an appointment you will be there for an hour easily!! The staff is rude and disrespectful. Half the people in the waiting room weren’t even wearing masks. What is the point of making an appointment if they don’t follow it ? Does anyone even work there besides 1 or 2 people ? What a joke.
Absolutely rude and Obnoxious. While trying to speak to the supervisor on the phone about a documentation discrepancy on my part the staff member kept muttering and talking and making Comments over the phone conversation. Finally after getting frustrated with her dumb attitude she threatened to call the police. She seemed to be looking for a confrontation and her attitude STINKS.You need to find better staff and she needs a serious attitude adjustment. Not recommended at all and I give this place ZERO stars and I have filed a corporate complaint on this woman and I am also writing a letter. She needs to be FIRED
Had an appointment at 11am and they took me on time. That deserves the 5 stars. Many other locations are not prompt like this.
Thank you very much, Quest! This was from a regular physical blood draw
Extremely rude and unprofessional. Sharon Fray is unnecessarily RUDE. I walked in and said good morning (first patient) and didnt even acknowledge. I waited around for 15 minutes, until she said check in on that ipad right there. Then when I finished, i just waited around, and she said to me SIT DOWN NOT you may take a seat, please sit and wait, or simply, well be right with you, please sit down. People like her shouldnt have a job dealing with customers. Seriously!
Really poorly run. There is no way to get in touch with a person via phone or even when you get there. You check in via a kiosk and when I finally did see a person, they were completely unhelpful. Go somewhere else.
This place needs new staff, they are all so disrespectful. They would not let a mentally ill patient go in with her step mother, which can’t be legal. They offer no help to the elderly that are trying to check in on the screen and having difficulty. This place is a disgrace.
Terrible staff, long waiting. Terrible 10000 times.
As I walked in I signed in machine, immediately I was called. I asked SHARON the lab tech a simple question. “I have to be at work at 9 AM I’m not sure what you have in front of me, so would I be out before then. And as rude as she can be SHARON the lab technician from the Caribbean kiss her teethand said I’m helping you know. Sucked her teeth again mush up her face and proceeded to talk under her teeth.I said excuse me did you say somethingShe responded as rude as she can be and said ME helping you nowRequested my insurance information asked me was I the primary I said no and as Rude as she can be again she says then WHOI certainly understand working with the public can be quite difficult however attitude reflects leadership and I am sure she is not leading any other lab technicians or anyone else in that office because bad attitude start from the top I do hope her attitude changes throughout the day to make her day betterIn the future I will go elsewhere I hope someone reads this
Staff is completely rude...like intentionally. Check in kiosks are 24 from floor for some reason...comical when your 610. Very surprised how cold and automated this business is ran
Went there at 820 checked in didn’t mind waiting for little my appointment said 908 I was ok with that but not once but twice i was next all of a sudden they let 2 people go in before me one was late to her appointment and the other lady had just arrived checked in incorrectly and the lady still let her in very unprofessional I’m a diabetic and was fasting for this
I cannot believe the people that work at this place-it is terrifying that they are given needles to take blood from people. Worst experience. I NEVER give reviews for anywhere but this was horrifying. I just want to make people aware so that they don’t have to go through what I did today. Stay away from here.
Showed up 8 minutes EARLY to my appointment and the check-in screen said I was late and had to reschedule. I dont understand that. Theres no human to speak with at check-in. Horrible experience.
Kiosks only, no person to help sign in.
I got there on time for my appointment which they did call me at the time I was scheduled, once I got to the room I was seating there because the person that was going to draw my blood kept texting and texting
This place is a complete joke with no customer service and incompetent staff. Came in for a 315apt. When my time came my name apparently disappeared from the list and they treated me like a walk in. Waited 2 more hours. The staff was rude and unhelpful. I will be reaching out to corporate as this location is clearly run by a bunch of clowns. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
They say that walk ins are available, but the walk ins are never admitted. Additionally, the whole process is extremely slow and a waste of time.
Long wait times, way beyond scheduled appointment
This office is very busy in downtown Stamford. However ALI H was great with me, very patient and helpful. This high quality of professionals is greatly appreciated.
You’re better off not making an appointment. Walk ins go first and they will have you waiting on the waiting room for an hour with an appointment. Never again, better off driving far, you’ll get better service
The ABSOLUTE WORST STAFF- the rude disrespectful staff makes this experience absolutely disgusting. Yelling at patients in waiting room and not explaining the POS2 error they made with the sign in process. Absolutely horrible.
I had a very fast and easy experience. Anthony was very nice. I was in and out of there in under 5 minutes. No one else was in the waiting room, which helped.
Manager was rude, brash and absolutely no help. Phlebotomist was very patient and caring as I was getting blood work for kidney donation. You need better management
If you want a thousand-dollar hematoma because they didnt listen to a word you said, go and see Donna.
Nurse Dona (or dana - hope I am right)Was extremely friendly! I had to come with my two children to do my blood draw and I was literally in and out it was super quick she was super friendly to me and to my daughters I would highly recommend this place
Never again!! Can’t find the doctor order for tests, no ownership of the problem, fortunately my doctor was able to fax over the order. 15 min process became a 45min hassle.
Terrible service, was made to wait for several hours and the staff was rude to me when I tried to ask for an appointment time.
I have an appointment. Terrible service. Been waiting here 30 mins. The machine doesn’t let me check in the right way. Absolutely zero customer service
What’s the point of the appointment. They make you wait an hour anyways. No one has that kind of time to waste.
They take your weight and height in a bathroom. The place should be cleaner looking. One of the most painful blood draws I received
Staff is really good and my wait was only 2 minutes. Shoutout to Anthony and Ana for great service.
I was in and out in 8 mins. Super friendly Indian man helped me - great experience!
Its been a week and my blood work results has not been sent to my doctors office neither uploaded to my quest account. They probably lost them.
Very unprofessional, every time I go there there’s only one person that shows up & they are always late. Then they have an attitude. I hate going there but that’s the only place that’s close for me.
I’ve always had a good experience here. Just make an appointment and all will likely go smoothly.
Very unprofessional and unhelpful. Horrible communication and service. The employee that was supposed to “help” me, told me walked away after giving me an attitude and placing blame on me.
This facility is easy and efficient. The staff is polite and friendly. Not much parking but generally not a problem.
Only because ZERO stars is not an option. Im a doctor. I dont want to bore you with a long tirade, but believe me, left hand does not know what the right is doing at this company.
Absolutely horrible they have a system that you register you have the option to wait in our car from a 15 minute wait to over hour my 78 year old mom needs blood work done waiting in the car I keep looking at a monitor with her name on it it goes for 5 minutes to 10 to 14 minutes to 21 minutes horrible horrible
Whats the point of appointments when certain appointments get priority..? Staff is also very rude.
Disaster! Automatedsystem hard to use... Impossible to speak to a person... Anywhere else better.
Easy one star service. Congratulations on having a freebie one star since zero is not an option!
Sophia, thanks for going the extra mile. Appreciate your service!
Went in the afternoon. Very little wait.
Their timing was a bit off in my caseBut their staff and service were good
Special type incompetence going on in that building.
It was super quick and personal is very friendly.
If you going to be in the medical field and customer service field leave the attitude at home one of the ladies there has the worst attitude ever and its not good for the business
Terrible. Chaotic. Couldnt find my sons prescription. No on in charge. Scary.
Being Vet doesnt make it faster.
I wish there was a menu option to get someone there to answer the phone!!!
Rude staff. Will not be returning.
Terry and Shauna are wonderful!
What a dump !!!!
