Very nice place. I was seen within 5 mins of showing up. Take it was very easy. The DR was really nice. Gave me some really good advice for the issue I had. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. A+++
Great care! Very attentive & wonderful staffs, easy registration, I was very pleased with how well they handled their work. Also very clean and smells great in the facility. The Wait wasn’t long.
As part of a visit, I was billed $25 for a Covid test that Aetna said was not patient responsibility per the EOB. Multiple calls and emails got nowhere. They refused to deal with it and threatened to send me to collections, so I paid the $25 because its not worth the battle but the billing department is either dishonest or incompetent. Shameful.
The registration process was difficult and challenging considering it was online using a cell phone and quite frustrating. The visit itself was decent however the diagnosis and the medication given did not seem to be accurate as my condition only got worse and I am going to have to go to another facility to get it checked again maybe this Time by a real doctor. I know that nurse practitioners cant do a good job but in this particular case I think there was a mistake made and now hopefully I will not suffer hearing loss because of the diagnosis and medications given. How can I return for a followup when I am 1690 miles away?
The receptionist and the Doctor got angry because I didnt speak fluent English. I’m very sad because I work in customer service and never give this deal. I just decided to leave quickly despite having many doubts about my symptoms. Also thank you to the nurse who helped me with the translation👍
I visited urgent care due to a sore throat. After seeing the doctor, I received a prescription, which they sent to the nearby CVS. However, I wasnt feeling well enough to wait the 45 minutes it would take for the prescription to be ready, so I asked to have it transferred to a CVS closer to my home. The lady at the front desk was quite rude and said she couldn’t do it, but thankfully, another staff member stepped in and helped with the transfer. The next day, when I went to the CVS near my house, the prescription still wasn’t ready—it was still at the original location near urgent care. I needed to start my antibiotics immediately, but this delay pushed my treatment back by a day, worsening my condition. Although I eventually got the medication, I was very unhappy with how the lady at the front desk treated me.
Went there for blood testing as a second opinion after the first test at other place. I told the reason of visit to a staff in a consultation.I went into an exam room, then Dr came and…..DR: I don’t know what you want.Me: (WHAT?? I explained everything already. Is she having a bad day??) um…I don’t know what to say (emotionally)…DR: Use Google Translation!English is not my first language and I might pronounce something wrong. But you are doctors/medical workers not English teachers. I have doctors and medical workers in my own family and have GREAT respect towards those in the same fields.BUT I don’t recommend this place unless you…**need to make appointment on Sundays/Holidays or immediately**need the clinic in the area**speak PERFECT EnglishBTW The staff (non Doc) performed a perfect blood draw I ever had. I have smaller veins, but it took the staff only one try. No pain or post bleeding/bruises. So one star for that. Good job.
I have direct connections and links with the hospital but I came here in a pinch because she had a tummy ache. Everyone is very welcoming, kind, and has interesting personalities. We dealt with , forgive me if I am wrong, Dr. Lauren. I did not spend a lot of time with her because they did not let me in the room maybe because they had to change and do women’s things but who really knows what goes on when they don’t let the men or a father in. We was in and out in a snap of a finger and paperwork is all done in an app. Who can complain with fast service, social skills, and a happy tummy in the end? Worth a repeat if I am sick and the hospital is being a pain
Please dont waste your time going to this urgent care. Even though I was seen right away, only because I made an appointment. The doctor was not thorough, to say the least. I came to this location because I just moved to this area, and this was my closet urgent care. I have been sick for over a week and wasnt getting any better with the use of OTC medications. The doctor literally took one look in my ears and throat and said, Your throat looks red. He then prescribed me antibiotics without even testing for COVID, flu, strep, etc., which wouldnt work for me in the event I had any of the viruses. Overall, this visit was a waste of time and money, and I will be going to my usual urgent care, Physician One in Norwalk, who never lets me down.
While I did get what I needed the doctor made some very sexist and non scientifically backed views. He stated that most women think every headache is a migraine. The two stars are for the office staff who were nice and courteous. The doctor however I would give negative starts if I could.
The nicest practioner I have ever encountered. Thorough, kind, patient, explained everything to me and gave me options and answered questions we had. Great experience overall.
I’m a frequent customer and all my information is in the system. However, I have to come in and do all of this electronically using my personal phone. I expect to walk in and fill out paperwork by hand like I would go to a normal doctors office. It’s not fair that your staff has to explain this to every client that walks in. I sat there and watch your staff explain your procedure to five different people, myself included. Everyone was very professional and courteous, but I don’t think it’s fair for the staff to have to do that and have to hear negative feedback from everyone that walks in. I’m already a customer and the staff should be able to look up my information on a computer by cell phone number instead of me having to type everything into my phone and wait for text messages to come back-and-forth. I don’t care for your process at all… especially if I’m not feeling good.
Amazing doctor and team! This is the second time I have been at this location and I’m absolutely happy and grateful. Thank you! The whole team - front desk, nurses, doctor - are top notch in professionalism, knowledge, bedside manners, patient care, and kindness. They listen and take what you say seriously, then give you solutions that work. I like their practicality and common sense approach a lot—knowing that they will always do what’s necessary but not overdo things if not required. This doctor’s office is how doctors and the western medicine approach should be; helping you feel better while making the treatment patient oriented. I can recommend AFC Urgent Care Stamford, knowing that they will take excellent care of you and your loved ones.
Attending nursing and doctor were very well behaved.Listen to my medical issue with lots of patience before giving me a treatment. They handled a senior with great empathy.I extend my full appreciation for them.Hope will get well soon after taking a treatment here.
The woman who answered the phone was kind. The woman who took my blood pressure was very nice. The wait was short. The doctor was understanding and gave me a detailed possible explanation of my illness. I would definitely go back.
The service was excellent. At the chech the receptionist was very warm and let me feel welcome. The nurse was friendly and cause me to feel at ease.aThe doctor was so caring and i felt that he understood how l was feeling and wanted to make me feel better.I was happy with the overalll visit!!.
I couldn’t give this place a split service; receptionists were rude, unprofessional and totally disrespectful to the patients/customer. The office manager/nurse/practitioner was nice and apologetic for the way 1 of the receptionists treated the situation.Made me wait for over 1.5 hour without any explanation and when I asked for the delay she went out barking at me for doing so and calling her upon her position and her duties towards clients she kept on going yelling and screaming.
Absolutely horrible place! Don’t bother ever going here. Go to Tully health in Stamford if needed. Waited almost 2hrs for a rapid covid test, finally get called in, and the covid test they administered malfunctioned, and the facility could not retest because they did not have any more covid tests. This place is so backwards that they don’t even know how to order supplies.STAY AWAY!!! Wish i could give less than one star, you are all warned
The staff was amazing and helped my daughter to feel comfortable with the strep test they did. I will definitely be coming back when needed.
The staff were super friends and helpful! I was able to get my son seen as a walk-in and I didn’t have to wait long.
Visited new location on a weekend, had a great experience. Friendly staff, quick check in and work up, great PA that was nice, knowledgeable and attentive. Would recommend.
Very Professional Staff and Management. They are very efficient, so you will not wait long, unnecessarily…!They make you feel welcome and that you are important… they are very caring…Great vibes here…!Keep it up…!!!
Very nice staff, Jessica was amazing, took me in as soon as I filled out information.quick visit. clean and spacious location.
I went to this urgent care before and they are so kind, caring and helpful. It’s a clean facility. You do not have to wait hours to be seen. They are through and the doctor takes his time to listen. I was diagnosed he ordered my medication right away. I was halfway home and the prescription was ready. I’m very pleased with them all around.
I was in and out within 30 min. Everyone i encountered was awesome from the reception area to the nurse and the doctor was easy to talk to and knowledgeable. I appreciate that you can make an appointment ahead of time.
Friendly, professional staff. I was seen right away. The Doctor was very kind, attentive, and very thorough. I highly recommend this place.
It was quick , waiting just a minute or two.The staff were very nice and respectfulVery nice doctorI’m thinking of using this facility more often instead of waiting a few days to see my family doctor
Used this Urgent Care for my Immigration Documents. This was the 6th one I contacted, and they actually understood what had to be done and did it all timely and transparant. Thanks for the help
I am writing in regards to my recent visit to AFC Urgent care specialist on Sunday - 4/28 where I had contacted for forehead and eye infection. The medication didn’t help rather the condition was so bad that I had to go to rush to emergency and was admitted. The conditions turned so bad that was admitted for 5 days.Stamford hospital doctors were surprised to know that AFC urgent care medical specialist couldn’t figure out and also alarmed that had this was diagnosed correctly ( that Stamford hospital doctors did just by looking) the situation could have been averted.I have serious concerns with the quality of medical support from AFC Urgent care where specialist dont do proper diagnosisI request AFC Urgent care to look into this on priority and be more responsive towards patients condition rather than just earning money.
While cooking the other night in the kitchen a knife fell and sliced the top of my foot. The next morning, I went to visit the Urgent are on Summer street. The woman at the front desk was patient and understanding. The physician who first saw me did an excellent job of humanizing the accident and addressing the care I needed, commending what I have done to support the wound healing. Following this, I immediately was seen by another woman who was nothing but supportive and helpful. She cleaned out my cut, consulting with the previous provider. I had the best experience and will be coming back in the event anything happens again! Hopefully no more incidents with knives!!!
Im never in there too long. I love it. I doubt Id ever go anywhere else. Theyre very punctual, professional and knowledgeable . Ive walked in all 3x and was seen right away, according to my appt time
Updating my review. The billing department is an absolute nightmare. I was billed $175 for my visit which included a $25 Covid test. The bill submitted to my insurance company (Aetna), was for $150 and excluded the Covid test. They tell me Aetna wont cover the test. Maybe so, however I dont know that because they WILL NOT submit it. They have stated multiple times they have submitted it to Aetna but Aetna tells me they have not and I have never received an EOB from Aetna denying it. I was on the phone with them and an Aetna rep who told them to submit the bill including the Covid test, and they did not. They are very good at calling me to ask for the $25. They are not very good at submitting an accurate claim. In short, I am happy to pay the $25 if I owe it, but you cant help someone who cant help themselves. My advice, stay far, far away.
Went there to see if I needed stitches. Took me in right away for evaluation. Very nice staff. Doctor explained options to me. Great job!
Great atomosphere and experience all around. My daughter had also been there a few days prior to my visit and had the same opinion.
Paperless “paperwork” easily done on smart phone. Friendly staff. Attentive intake nurse. Great HCP interaction- she took time and listened. Overall excellent experience. Also lucked out on a 20 min wait for a walk in. Was in and out in 40 min or less.
Despite us agent and valid insurance they declined the case. Very uninterested in treating a patient
Would not recommend this urgent care. It is not clean, the room they put me in to wait for the doctor was so disgusting and filthy.
I would give it zero. They did not send the prescription and I ran to cvs for no reason. When I called the provider is not even around to resend it immediately. It’s urgent care! People come because it’s urgent!
I really appreciated the speedy service even as a first timer. The staff were kind and proffessional.
Excellent service. Fast and easy. Front desk, nurses and doctor, all of them very friendly.
I had a good experience at AFC. The medical staff were knowledgeable and performed a thorough review of my symptoms. Dr. Lauren was very engaging and professional and I was confident that he provided me with excellent medical care. I did not wait long to be seen and was in and out in about 45 minutes.
The building is very nice and the staff are great! Plus they give away free snacks like goldfish :D
I have sore throat, body aches, and pink eyes for almost a week and the uncomfortable feeling of this sickness makes me could not sleep at night and Went different urgent care but nothing helped, finally I decided to AFC. Wow! Miracle happened! Last night was my first good night sleep for a long time. The staffs are so friendly. Doc is so patient and professional. thank you doctor. Now I can enjoy my holiday with my family and friends.
Been going here for years. Not anymore. Recently was sick and came in this week and the physician there had no idea what they were doing. Just ran one strep test and let me leave. I called back and asked why they didn’t test for flu (I was feeling horrible and didn’t think of it at the time- I was sick!).They said they would call me back. Never called me. Going to go to a different urgent care where they are thorough and follow up. No excuse for attitude at the front desk either. People are sick this time of year!
Great experience! Short wait and attentive medical care!
Very Friendly ,understanding and helpfulrecommend anyone in the area or not to come see the team. They are excellent…Great customer service
Beware. AFC has an F rating on the Better Business Business Bureau. Wish I had looked them up before using their services. They do not respond to complaints. My Heath Savings Account (HSA) paid the bill via direct deposit to AFCs bank account and I supplied proof. But they keep saying it hasnt been paid and I still owe. When I call their billing department, it is a call center in India and they dont seem to understand what an HSA even is. This whole company seems to be a scam. Why else would they have their patients calling India instead of their own offices. And the worst part is they were rude and did not help me. I had to go to another urgent care (Physicians One) in Norwalk. They were very helpful and accepted my HSA payment without issue.Update:AFC did finally find the HSA payment after 3 months. So the issue has been resolved.
Stay away from this place. Went in for a clogged ear (swimmers ear) which I know the feeling since I constantly get them about 3 times per year and the doctor that looked at me claims that there was nothing in my ear and prescribed some drops. Looked at me for 2 seconds and said there was nothing else she could do.I immediately went over to The Tully Center Walk-In which they were very attentive, cleaned out my ear with an irrigation and checked multiple times to make sure the blockage was all cleaned out. Well don Tully Center.Urgent Care just billed my insurance and I had to pay my copay for nothing. Never again. Worst place to go.
Was taken care of amazingly by the team and manager Jessica came out and helped also
I went there with my son who had an earache. The front desk staff and nurses were pleasant and accommodating. We were was seen in a timely manner, and diagnosed with a full explanation of treatment and expectations. I had to go back to the office due to a pharmacy issue and they were nice enough to call around to find a place that had the medicine in stock and moved my prescription so I could pick it up promptly and get treatment started. I hope I don’t have to return but would absolutely if the situation arose again. Great job by all.
While the wait was three hours, the staff was incredibly accommodating by allowing us to “wait” at home and return to the office when we were one patient away from being seen. Very efficient by allowing us to complete the paperwork while “waiting” at home. When we returned for the visit, the entire visit took all of 20 minutes. Staff was fantastic.
My mother was told by the receptionist that the doctor refuses to see anyone who does not speak perfect English. I was surprised and frankly, disappointed. If you have a loved one with english as their second language, advise them not to waste their time here.
Very kind and professional employees. Very efficient and knowledge on finding what the illness was.
Quick, easy, and was out with a prescription in 25 minutes. cool stuff
I’m a new patient, I called in today to get my medications refilled at the last minute. The woman I spoke with was very polite and professional. I arrived and filled out forms via text message (nice n’ easy) and waited under 10 minutes and saw a doc. He was very knowledgeable, professional, and personable. The waiting area was clean and there was plenty of parking in the rear. I didn’t really know what to expect when I called in, but the service and care I received today went far beyond what my expectations were. No hassle here.
My physician was knowledgeable, very personable and provided excellent patient care. The receptionist was very kind and offered the best customer service. The wait was long, but she allowed me to go home and contacted me when there was only 1 patient ahead of me. This gave me ample time to get back to the office on time.
There was a two hour wait but I love that I am able to go home and get a call when I am one or two patients close to seeing practitioner. No one wants to wait sick in a waiting room for 2 hours! Check in was easy and the gal there was very pleasant. I was able to check in via text message link so it’s super efficient and easy. Nurse practitioner was great she knew exactly what I needed.
Arrived with no appointment at 7:30pm and was seen and had prescription called and in hand by 8:30pm. Best quality care I have received since Active Military. Staff and Resident Doctor were awesome.
The urgent care center claims to be open until 8. However, anytime we have tried to come after 630/7, they either tell us they are booked for the night even with no cars in the parking lot, or they cant handle whatever it is that we are in there for. I went to the ER last night with a hand laceration that they glued, but the glue was starting to peel off and the wound was opening again. They say they do stitches, so I went to the urgent care and they said I had to go back to where I got the glue done...meaning another $100 copay. I called the ER and they agreed that it was ridiculous for them to turn me away and that they could have definitely handled it.
From the moment I walked in the door, I was greeted by Jessica who was so warm and welcoming. I was the taken to triage with Arie, who was equally professional and courteous. Lastly, I met with Dr. Lauren who is a true professional and takes the time to explain everything to you. If you have a non-life threatening situation, choose them.
The nurse practitioner was VERY informative. Just enough information to help me understand what I need to watch for, but not too much to make me nervous. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I was about to cry and it seems the woman told a funny story to me bc she noticed it. I appreciated it a lot. All in all, my experience was very good. Also of note, this is not my first time being here and having a good experience. So do with that information as you will.
Excellent young lady at the front desk very knowledgeable very helpful
This is the worst place ever Im never coming here again. Urgent care place at Norwalk is way better. I wanted to take care of three different things with one visit and I couldnt do that and each of my visits is $50 copay because they said that they cant do multiple visits for different things because of billing I do this all the time at Norwalk location and nothing ever happens.
I had an extremely bad experience today going to this urgent care. The lady in the front, Jessica, was extremely rude, unprofessional and insensitive to the needs of the patients including myself. I waited 10 minutes for her to come to the front desk and ask me if I needed any help. She then said she will text me my forms and proceeded to the back. I had to call her back to the front desk here she seemed irritated that I was asking for help. I informed her of my need and she was very rude. I asked to talk to her boss and she let me know that it was her cousin and it didn’t matter that I was asking for the next person above her. When working in urgent care you should be taking patients needs with urgency and care. She was extremely unprofessional. Then another nurse came out and thought it was funny that I was frustrated with the service and they both let me know that nothing is going to happen because they run the office. Urgent care should look into both of these ladies because this is not the service that should be provided to people when they don’t feel well. I will continue to report Jessica because she should not be in that position.
Quick efficient registration system and very short wait to see the doctor.
Long wait time and not enough staff. Only one doctor and one nurse were working. Hire more nurses so patients don’t have to wait for everyone to finish their lunch break or close for an hour. Staff seem incompetent and need to work on their people skills. They kept asking patients what exactly they want done for them when most of us wanted to be evaluated to determine what we needed done. You are the expert, as patients we describe our symptoms and you advise what should be done. Also stop advertising that you do stitches when you don’t!
The reason I am leaving two stars instead of zero is entirely due to the high quality of the receptionists and the triage nurses. The doctor (Rebecca Proca) who saw me was overheard saying I cant believe I have to see another one right now. I had swelling in my ankle and she proceeded to look at it for 15 seconds, decided it wasnt swollen without comparing it to the other ankle, prescribed an antibiotic, and left brusquely. She then saw my wife, who had a rash spreading on her skin. She outright refused to hear my wifes previous experience with it and what helped alleviate it, and when my wife asked for her to prescribe the antibiotic that she had success with, the doctor said I feel like you are bullying me. It was an embarrassment for AFC and they should be ashamed to employ someone so immature and unprofessional. Go somewhere else.
The whole entire process was flawless. I spoke to Jessica who is extremely kind and helpful in the office. She help me make my appointment. I spoke to the nurse who is extremely lovely and very helpful who then intern had me speak to another nurse and the doctor which is also very informative and helpful. The whole entire stuff kind of been kinder. I am a huge baby and I was totally flipped out about the procedure. I arrived am I select a time and pulled in parking spot number for where I was greeted by Nurse Roxanne. Roxanne couldn’t of been kinder. She was very compassionate and very kind and gentle. I’ve spoken to many people who had this done and they said it was horrific and very painful. Before I went to my appointment I meditated and then while I was waiting in the car I also meditated and listen to my meditative music while Roxanne did the procedure. I found that by leaving my car seat back my body was in a nice position and I was able to relax and take the test with ease. I can’t thank AFC For hiring such a confident, caring, knowledgeable, professional and very comfortable staff. Kudos to you! Truly I was frightened like there was no tomorrow as a treatment I received from AFC. Was top shelf.
This place was very effective high quality healthcare for urgent Care I appreciate there safe kind cleanliness experience professionals and a live doctor was there most of all answered all my questions and have great bedside manners thank you very much to your team
I went in there last night very close to closing time. I had gotten a terrible steam burn on my right hand which is my dominant hand. I was in extreme pain and barely able to function and speak. The nurse took her time with me helped me check in without making me use my hand too much. They did whatever they could to make me comfortable while they took my blood pressure even if it meant having me run my hand under cool water because I was in so much pain. I had left the office well after their closing time and I was more than happy with the service that I received there.
Rebecca N. is incredibly helpful. Since my single visit on Monday, she has responded to all my concerns, questions and fears about my condition. She’s given me tremendous relief during this difficult time. Also, staff, Nurses and Doctor were friendly, knowledgeable, and empathetic. Minimal wait. Easy check in process. Will always use AFC and I highly recommend.
AFC is a great urgent care. My visit was fast and service was quick. The front staff shanika helped me with my registration and was the most kindest person and I have been to other urgent care. I recommend anyone to go there for efficient service. My concern was addressed and I am satisfied
Absolutely horrendous experience. This is the fourth time my family has had a negative experience at this location. My mother went in to get a corona test, not only did they never send her prescription to CVS, they also never notified us with her PCR test results. I called 4 days later, because there was absolutely no feedback from them. When called, they were lackadaisical and indifferent in their attitude. Worst experience ever. I hope they can fix their faults because we will never be visiting this location again, and I will make sure to tell all my immediate friends and family to avoid this location like the plague.
The Spanish woman at the facility is not sanitary at all. She opened up the cotton swab package that I was supposed to use to do a self swab without gloves and then looked at me like I had 3 heads because I asked for a new cotton swab/q tip for testing and I feel she needs to be a bit more educated in that department because we all are of the dangers of infections and transmissions I dont care its just how it needs to be period
The staff was extremely professional and very helpful, I’d recommend them to everyone needing medical assistance.
I went in for a COVID PCR test, and was told by the friendly staff that it would be possible if I could wait an hour and a half (I was impressed that they knew this timing). I said sure. But, could I leave and return? No problem. And in fact, I did come back when recommended, about an hour later, then I was seen exactly when promised, no problem. And, the nurse on call apologized for the wait. The clockwork action really amazed me. Thanks, AFC Urgent Care!UPDATE:Had to go in twice in the past two days and the lines were nuts- gradually worse the closer we got to 12/25. They staff remained patient and cheerful and professional, and timely with results. Don’t know how they do it. Grateful they are near my neighborhood.
Absolute horrible horrible experience. Went in for a COVID -19 testing on Sunday. When I said, I wanted PCR testing, the person at reception (not sure of her name) was condescending and forced me to do rapid. When I insisted I wanted to do PCR, she made faces, raised eyebrows and then agreed. Then she could not verify my insurance and so wanted to want me to sign a form. I just asked some questions regarding the form, and again received very rude, condescending, abrasive response. I did not like that. So, I decided to leave and told her to cancel my appointment. Then she waved me good bye, again started hurling abuses and showed me middle finger multiple times. This happened on 8/21/22 at 1.40pm. I was nothing but polite and was genuinely asking questions. I would expect management to look into this. I would have given -100 stars if I could. There are prior negative reviews regarding rude front desk staff. If you continue to have such people at front desk who treat sick people with so much rudeness and unprofessionalism, then you should really reevaluate your staff.
They literally stole my money!I saw a doctor for severe coughing in which he determined was post nasal drip and prescribed me with Zyrtec.Visit and medicine came out to $200.10 days later I have severe wheezing as my condition worsened. I called to let them know their solution didnt work and how we should resolve. The woman who handles billing repeated four to five times that Id have to schedule another appointment and pay another $180 to see the doctor and obtain a new diagnosis. They didnt get it right the first time and took my money. They said there is a 7 day grace period and that Im 3/4 days passed that. They wont make any exceptions.Ive been a patient with them since I moved to Stamford in 2019 and Ive never been treated more like a number in my entire life. They had no compassion, they treated me like I was dense and maintained no accountability in their wrong doing. It is cheaper for me to find a primary but I was comfortable going to AFC until now. Thank you for showing me your true colors. I hope the $200 you stole is well worth the patient and your integrity you lost!I will also be reporting this encounter to corporate and the BBB.
Never delivered my test results. I went in on 12-2 for testing and was told I would receive the results in 3 to 5 days. After 7 days, I called and they told me they forgot to call and that someone would call me with the results later that day. They never called. On the 10th day, 12-12, I called again and they told me they would call back in an hour. They never called. It takes dozens of calls to get through every time. They are always rude. Finally, I went back in to the clinic and they printed out my results in about 30 seconds. Extremely unprofessional, rude, and unsafe. I do not recommend going here for anything
Very efficient. And very pleasant, kind, staff. You walk in and give the receptionist your name and phone number. Then you head back out to your car where you complete your registration online. They tell you where you are “in line” and when to return for your appointment. When I returned I was taken into my test after about 10 minutes. Very organized and very nice!
I had a very good experience at this AFC clinic. First time visitor. The front desk staff was honest on the phone that it was a busy Saturday, and very helpful and courteous when I showed up in person. The waiting room was half full, but the wait wasnt too long. They accepted my insurance (with a copay) and told me about how long to wait. Jeff, the LPN, was very kind during the intake process (initial screening and vital stats) and Dr. Lauren took the time to fully understand my problem. I found him to be sensitive, responsive, educational and supportive. I would be comfortable returning here for urgent care needs.
Went to this establishment solely on the positive reviews on Google, what a let down that was!Biggest waste of time. I called ahead to time to see if the facility was busy as I would be missing work to see the Dr. and I was told it was not busy at all and should expect a short wait.I filled out the paperwork and was pleased to find out that there would be no copay and would be seen by the Dr. in about 20 minutes. After waiting for about 45 minutes and seeing the waiting room begin to fill up, I went and inquired about how much longer I would be waiting since I needed to head back to work. Was told there was one individual in front of me, okay, not so bad.I was called up, again, and told that there was actually a $30 copay and there were 2 people in front of me.I promptly left.So now, Ive lost almost 2 hours of work, not received any treatment to fix my ailment, reception was not at all apologetic.Dont waste your money here and go elsewhere. Im not sure why theres such great reviews but this place is pitiful.
The nicest young woman at front desk. Polite helpful and informative. Then the nurse/ medical person, was similarly great. I was taken care of and felt that I had made a great decision in going to AFC
First, I encountered a doctor who apparently feared writing a prescription for a controlled substance more than my request as a patient whom clearly had evidence to support I had no addiction to or for the drug. I had the old prescription bottle in my possession with one pill remaining; the prescription had been dispensed a year earlier with a quantity of 30 pills. Secondly, the doctor purported that she was going call a supervisor to confer with and seek authorization to dispense the medication. After leaving the room, I could hear her immediately outside the door in conversation with the nurse speaking about other issues. She reentered the room and alleged her supervisor granted her permission to dispense a very limited quantity, to wit: nine pills. The doctor’s initial remarks to me as she entered the room and her subsequent actions were all consistent with her immediate observation of me. I feel she was acting solely on bigotry. I departed the location with an unsigned pain prescription and had to return the next day to obtain the doctor’s signature. If you are in pain, and wish to receive care, concern and respect do not attend this urgent care facility.
Great visit! From the reception, to triage, to meeting with the doctor! I went with my twins as all 3 of us were sick. The waiting time was fairly short and barely any waiting time once you’re in a room. Everyone was great with my 6 year old twins. Highly recommend this place!
I had a great experience here at 8:30am on a Saturday. The ladies at the front were friendly and efficient. I came in for routine testing which involved a blood draw which was done efficiently and skillfully. It was very clean and comfortable. I left by 9.The only negative thing I have to say is that the doctor saw my Kate Spade purse and decided to comment that suicidal people are selfish and put blame on her family for not noticing the signs...I was surprised he felt that it was okay to say that, considering the position he’s in, and also not knowing my personal or mental health background. I was sure to state that depression and suicide are serious, very sad, and she clearly needed help. Just rubbed me the wrong way. I’m not generally a terribly PC sensitive person, but I wouldn’t expect a medical professional to pass judgment on people who struggle with mental health. The tech who was in the room looked a little uncomfortable, also.Overall, I’m still giving them 5 stars since the service I came in for was done quickly and with skill.
The front desk team is outstanding- very friendly, helpful, responsive and kind. The person who took my vitals never told me what they were (she did this the last time too). The doctor, after realizing I was flu positive, couldn’t get out of the room fast enough. Barely wanted to answer my questions. As someone who works in a hospital, her professionalism leaves something to be desired.
That lady that sit in the glass office with an open door is so rude it’s unbelievable!!! Let me point out the office on summer street Stamford that was empty, like me only in it for almost an hour or so! It pays to be nice lady. People come there because they are sick for Christ sake, front desk was empty and she ignore me for over two minutes asking for assistance then shake her head and roll her eyes when she finally got annoyed and shouted for the person who was actually missing from her desk because she was busy chatting in the back with the one that does the vitals before persons see the doctor. Get it together because there are plenty of walk in clinic in the area.
Don’t even bother! I’ve had nothing but negative experiences at this Urgent Care. First time went for myself and the website said they were open, drove 15 minutes just to find out they were closed. Then today went there for my son and they were at max capacity for a walk-in at 1pm. Like max capacity???!! If that’s the case you should but be called an UC!!!!! I would never go there again. I’ll make sure to tell everyone I know also. I’d rather drive to Greenwich!!!
Check in was a breeze and the person that took my info was very friendly and made it a very pleasant experience. The care I received was also amazing and an incredible experience. and cost was very reasonable considering I have no insurance. I’ll be going right back there if I need care in the future.
This was our first time at an AFC urgent care to get a rapid test. We weren’t aware that you could come in earlier to get your name on a list since testing doesn’t actually start until 9am. We got on the wait list and the wait was pretty reasonable from start to finish. The staff was wonderful, and the overall process was smooth with very quick results. Will definitely be going back again for all my covid testing needs!
Terrible login system. Their website would crash every time we tried to enter our information in their system. Could not make an appointment on the website the link never worked. When we showed up the time they opened they still made us wait 3 hours for an appointment. The time it said on our confirmation text wasnt even correct we had to wait an additional 45 minutes from the time we we told. We do not recommend coming here. Especially if its an urgent matter that needs care.
New post:Fast, easy and super friendly staff! I would definitely go back again!Old post:Turned me away by the receptionist as soon as I got there and referred me to Tully or the ER for an injury that definitely did not call for the ER (also told the couple in front of me the same). Tully had a 2 hr wait and awful reviews. Confused what they do here if its not treating patients.
My adult niece fell on an outdoor slate stair, split her knee open and needed stitches. The front waiting room was nice and spacious. The women at the front desk were pleasant and empathetic with my niece. We waited about 10 minutes and then went in.She had her blood pressure checked and knee prepped by a Medical Assistant. Then after 20 minutes the very kind doctor came in, checked her knee, stitched her up, gave her a tetanus shot, and an antibiotic prescription. He did a great job. They were busy but we still felt cared for quickly (especially as compared to going to an ER in a hospital where the wait could be hours). Terrific job! Update: Her knee healed perfectly with no issues. Definitely recommend this urgent care.
Terrible, terribe - disrespectful and lack of customer/patient service!!! They honestly dont deserve any stars, but it wouldnt let me post the review without any. I dont usually write bad reviews, but felt it was definitely appropriate. I used AFC Urgent Care in Stamford for a PCR COVID test and was told the results would be available in 24-72 hours. Well it took 5 days and this was back in October. Recently, my daughter was travelling internationally and needed to get tested and went to AFC in Stamford. They verbally GUARANTEED results in time for her flight. The results were not ready in time and it was so stressful and she had to pay once again at the airport. Tried to call AFC every day for 10 straight days, no answer and no way to leave a message. Decided to go by in person where the young lady at the desk was gracious and kind and called the manager, Jessica while I was standing there who said she remembered our situation and would issue a credit when she returned to work on Monday and would call to discuss with me. Monday came and went with nothing from Jessica and after trying to call numerous times again, I finally went in person and dealt with the rudest manager and was blown away - she denied guaranteeing results in time and also denied a credit to our account - while I was standing right there both times while she said so. I asked for her managers name and she said there was no one above her and that I should just leave because we werent getting a credit. I understand things are busy there at this crazy time, but treating people/patients the way she did is totally unacceptable. I will never recommend this unprofessional site again and will be sure to let people know how bad they are. They are making a ton of money and deny people refunds when they should keep good customer relations.
Mediocre. From check in to seeing the doctor.Doctor had little “bedside manner.” He treated me for an ear infection. I got the feeling of a superiority-style complex.I’ve been to this urgent care twice before and have not had issues. The staff was always pleasant; the doctors patient with good manner. This visit was quite different. The individual who took my blood pressure/temp was very nice, great personality.
This is the first time I have been to AFC Urgent Care. I was eager to obtain a rapid Covid-19 test on the day before Thanksgiving. Everyone at AFC was very courteous, professional, and efficient. The location added additional testing capacity to accommodate more of the patients who sought testing. I was able to register online and follow online as my time to be tested approached. Then a staff member called me to return to the clinic when my time to be tested arrived so that my time spent in the clinic was kept to a minimum. The result of the test was promptly reported by another phone call from a staff member. In sum, I was completely satisfied with my experience and would not hesitate to use AFC again.
Long waits and no Dr. Literally waited for over and hour to talk to a dr on an iPad. No one even looked in my mouth, ears and nose. Could have had anything. Then had to wait two hours for them to call with flu test results that takes minutes to get results for. Negative so no real diagnosis at all. Waste of time and money. Seek another facility to get care from.
They say they close at 8 pm but they stop accepting patients at 7:20pm. When I said to the receptionist that they should specify that on the website, she looked at her phone and said “I am telling you now and have a goodnight” . This is the treatment given to patients who really need to see the doctor. I am probably not going back again!
I had a terrible experience at this urgent care facility. First off, the front desk receptionist had a bad attitude. After telling the nurse I had a fever and some mild symptoms of strep throat, she didnt bother taking my temperature or a throat swab. I then waited in a room for at least 25 minutes before the nurse practitioner (not the doctor, like I was told) came to see me for literally 3 minutes. The NP was surprised that the nurse didnt take my throat swab, and told her to come do that. I waited for another 20 minutes in that freezing room (with a fever). The nurse came to take the throat swab and said the results would be back in 5 minutes. I waited another 20 minutes. The entire time, I heard the nurses all joking around with one another about subject matter that is inappropriate for work. The NP eventually came back and told me my results were negative and that the throat cultures were being sent to a lab, and I should hear the results within 24 hours.24 hours later, I received no calls. So I called up the office, and the front desk told me that the lab results take 3-5 business days to come back. The NP had absolutely no idea what she was talking about when she told me 24 hours. So I waited and waited for my results to come back. 8 days later, I called about my lab results. The passive aggressive receptionist told me my results (which were the same as when I had my test done at the facility) and that they had called me days ago. But I had received no such call, so considering my experience with this facility, I can only believe she was making it up. Today I received my bill and it is ridiculously overpriced for such awful service. This facility does not put the urgency or care in urgent care. They are a scam and dont even pretend to care about their patients. Ive learned my lesson and will never come here again, and Ill tell others not to do so either.
Went there due to abdominal pain and flank pain. Was told they have limited services which is understandable. The doctor came out and said I should go to an imaging center to check for stones. That’s also understandable but what about a simple UTI test or talking to me more about my symptoms? I even asked the Doctor if she could look at my previous blood results to give me a better understanding since my doctor was taking days to respond. I was denied. I’ve been to other AFCs and CityMDs in Manhattan many times and I’ve never been turned away. Really disheartening. It’s understandable they dont have certain services like imaging but to not even talk to a patient about their symptoms or attempt any sort of test is beyond odd to me.
I’ve had two unpleasant experiences with this place. I honestly wish everyone the best as I’m sure the staff there are competent and friendly for the most part.1) I called ahead of time to walk-in for a pre-employment drug screen urine test in November 2020. I was told by the clerk that the technician in charge of that would be available to see me. I arrived at the facility before 4PM and was told that the person decided to leave because nobody else was there. This was unfair to me because I made the facility aware of my coming. The front desk staff was very dismissive of me and basically showed no empathy towards the inconvenience. This placed me in a time crunch as I had to contact my employer to reschedule my urine test at a different site in order to get things done.2) I was scheduled a covid test urgently needed. My spot was reserved for 3:30PM according to the staff I made the arrangements with the day prior. I received a call from another staff member at about 12noon informing me that I needed to arrive within 15minutes or else my test would have to be cancelled. Mind you I scheduled it later because I work and cannot be there at an earlier time. The staff member went on to say that they’re leaving early because of a “storm,” and cannot accommodate me. There was a light coating of snow but definitely no storm nor was there a storm warning.I am sorry I haven’t had a good experience with AFC Stamford, I don’t intend on ever returning to this place. I hope this experience is isolated and other people aren’t being inconvenienced in their care.
The Nurse Adriana was great, and very friendly. But the music they have playing is not suitable for a medical facility though.. it was bar/club music and the receptionist wasnt rude but wasnt very friendly either. My brother had the same experience with music/friendliness a few days after my visit.
I went to this location on July 3rd for an infection on my leg. Upon my arrival, the receptionist asked me what I was there for and I said an infection. She said what kind of infection and I said I don’t know, probably a staph? (Is that not the whole reason I am trying to see a doctor? LOL) She said she needed to see it because she needed to ask the doctor whether or not he would be taking me as a patient. She then proceeded to have me pull my pants down in the front lobby. Luckily I was wearing shorts underneath…But am I not entitled to privacy? She then went and spoke to the doctor who said he wouldn’t see me. She advised me to go to the Tully Center instead. I asked her why he wouldn’t see me and explained I had been to this location before for staph infections and that the doctors treated the issue. She said based on the doctors experience he wasn’t qualified to treat it. First of all it’s a staph infection, it requires him to look at my infection and prescribe me an antibiotic (all in 5 minutes if that) and second if he’s not qualified or experienced enough to treat something as simple as a staph infection then what on earth is he doing working as a doctor in an Urgent Care clinic? I asked her what the Doctors name was and she would not provide it.I found this extremely unprofessional and rude. I’ve had positive experiences at this location but will not be returning or recommending this location going further.
This was my second urgent care that I went too as I still wasnt feeling well and they were great! Although very busy from checking in to getting my vitals taken and then waiting (a good 25 min) in the room waiting for a doctor but Im not gonna judge them on that as the doctor was very friendly and gave me the correct meds and am feeling better. Would def go back again.
My provider was kind and understanding and deftly had me in and out
The staff was very friendly and I was able to walk in and be seen right away. Unfortunately after a prompt intake, I was left sitting in an exam room waiting for the doctor for 40 minutes. And its not like it was busy. There was literally no one else there. The nurse and I even joked about how quiet it was. At least they have TVs in the exam rooms. I got to watch almost a whole episode of the view. Did you know Whoopi Goldberg wears leggings a lot?Once the doctor did show up, (he said he was in a meeting) he did the usual 3 minute walk in clinic exam. He was very friendly, but I left there feeling like there is a strong possibility I might have to go see another doctor if I dont feel better in another day or two.All in all, good in a pinch, but be prepared to wait around.
Friendly & Professional staff. The wait to be seen is not long.
I’m sure no one wanted to be at the clinic New Years Day, but there they were and here I came with the flu. Everyone was super nice and respectful. The wait was long but I expected it would be. Anyway the doctor checked me out and got me on my way back to being healthy and I thank them all for that. It was my second visit and both times have been really good experiences. I trust them and that matters a lot.
I get my yearly flu shot there every year and have a good experience each time. The nurse who gave me mine the other day was excellent. I didnt even feel the needle with her technique. And my arm barely felt sore the next day. So..thanks! Much better than getting it at CVS :)
This facility has excellent customer service. Ive been here twice. Each time I was taken care of much quicker than the estimated wait time. The staff are really helpful and friendly too. Im really afraid of needles, but Liz helped calm me with her humor. Liz should get a promotion. :D
Receptionist at the front desk is not very attentive to patients. I tried calling several times before actually making a trip to this location with no luck. When I arrived to the center, the place was empty and was told they were unable to attend me because they were fully booked for the day without offering any other times for upcoming days. Instead I was told they were unable to help me and that I should go to another location for treatment. Giving one star is actually generous on my end.
Poor service experience with front desk staff at Stamford urgent care. I got my finger slammed in a door with my skin sliced and hanging off my finger with a open wound. I went into urgent care asking to see a doctor explaining to the woman at the front dest my situation an wanted to see if I can be seen by a doctor. She simply said we don’t do X’rays which was fine because I felt that I didn’t need one. I was able to move my finger and felt nothing was broken. I asked if I can still see a doctor so I can get my extra skin cut off my finger and my wound cleaned. Her next response was I’m sorry we don’t do hands here the only thing I can do for you is give you a bandage. I was extremely upset. Urgent care is supposed to be a walk in and made by appointment clinic. On the front of the window of urgent care it says stitches so I’m not understanding why my finger couldn’t be looked at by a doctor an cleaned up. I feel as if it wasn’t an urgent matter for her as it was for me. She didn’t even say let me see what we can do for you , yes of course you can see the doctor. I left with my finger untreated an unseen by anyone an went to Stamford Tully center. I highly recommend the Stamford Tully center. They take none appointments, very fast an very professional and caring staff. What’s the point of having the name urgent care when front desk staff turn you away with no sense of urgency. To top it all off it wasn’t BUSY or any wait at the time. It was just as slow an a turtle in there.
The treatment that I received was excellent! The nurse and PA were so caring and helpful. I live out of town and got sick while spending time in Stamford. I was very confident with my treatment plan. The only negative comment I have is that the waiting area is horrible! It was not a comfortable environment and the HVAC system sounded like it was on its leg.The back area was wonderful!
Definitely the best quality urgent care Ive been to in Stamford. The nurses were thorough and very kind. Excellent bedside manner.
@Samanta - You sound like a complete obnoxious mother who doesnt allow their child to think for their own! Cut the umbilical cord already! Dont be rude towards a great facility and staff!!!I have been to Doctors Express plenty of times! I am in love with this urgent care. I have had nothing but great experience! The office manager was incredibly kind and helpful with my insurance issues. She helped me get my insurance to pay my bill and was incredibly impressed by her professionalism and nice demeanor! Alex that was at the front desk is always smiling and incredibly kind every time. Not to mention the great care I received by Dr Santa Clause!!! The best bed side manner I have ever had. He has a cute sense of humor and made my 2 week old sinus infection go away within 3 days! I am thankful that doctors express is in Stamford! We needed a better health care. In and out with in minutes and feeling better within hours! I am truly impressed! Not to mention great choice of music. Every time i visit i feel myself feeling better from the moment I walk in to the moment I walk out. I truly recommend them to anyone that is in need of a doctor right away!Keep up the great work guys! Dont let negative people ruin your day!!!-Sammy
Waited about 40 minutes which was not bad. Staff was friendly, got a quick diagnosis from a physicians assistant with a very nice bedside manner. This is definitely a good way to go if you cant get a quick appointment with your regular doctor, or if you dont have one at all!
They are very prompt and courteous. I went there this morning for a rapid test. They took my ID and phone number and sent me a link to fill out a form that you fill out in your car or home and that’s it. Then you will receive a call once is your turn to come back in. Once you are back, they confirm your insurance and you pay and you just wait inside until you are called. I only waited for less than 30 min from arrival to test. At home, I waited two hours for them to call back letting me know it was my turn. Once you take the rapid test you will do a FaceTime with the doctor on duty for a few minutes and that’s it. You will leave and they will call you back within the hour to give you your results. Rapid COVID test fee is $50 at the time of this review. The regular test is free and should be fully covered by your insurance.
Wish I could say this was a good experience as the staff was pleasant and courteous. However after waiting 1.5 hours and seeing the doc for approx. 8 minutes I was incorrectly diagnosed with an inner ear infection and put on antibiotics. I questioned the diagnosis and treatment (having a medical background myself) but they were rather insistent I start antibiotics. I ended up in the ER a few days later and was correctly diagnosed with MS after 3 days in the hospital. For simple issues this facility may be sufficient, but for any neurological or serious symptoms...go elsewhere.
I have probably came to AFC at least a good 4 times and my boyfriend at least 2, we both have had great experience here. All the staff, the doctors and one nurse Stephanie who has always done an amazing job with our care. Love it here, fast and better than the tully or ER. Would always return here.
Glad to have this place in my neighborhood. I had an eye infection just before I was flying out for a business meeting. I stopped in on Sunday afternoon when they were pretty busy. But, the registration process was simple (fill out a one page form) and fast. They accepted my insurance and I got in to see Dr Lauren who had a easy going bedside manner. He diagnosed my condition and I walked out in less than 30 min with a prescription. I would come back for this good service again.
This was the worst most uncomfortable doctors office experience of my life. The receptionist was not wearing her mask and when she was it was not properly. They also told me I was ready for my rapid test when I was not and made me wait in the waiting room with 7 other clearly sick people for 40 minutes.I also had to physically give them my health insurance and drivers license when I had already texted photos to them. I did not see them disinfect the copier before or after. I should have spoken up at the time.
First of all, I agree with the bad reviews of the front desk staff. I went four months ago and the woman working hardly said two words during the whole transaction. My actual appointment went fine. But beware! I paid $94 that I was billed after my appointment. Since then, I have received non- stop harassing phone calls from a third party agency they use for payments. I explained a countless amount of times I paid thru the AFC website AND sent the receipt twice. Doesn’t matter, they still call non stop saying I haven’t paid and have no records of my emails and then I have to resend. Now, I have the actual AFC office emailing me that I haven’t paid. Again, I sent my receipt. I even checked my checking account many times and funds were one hundred percent taken out. This place is a mess, their billing is a scam it seems like and now I’m worried they will send me to collections no matter how many emails I have sent them and how many times I spoke to this third party. Just save your time and find a different urgent care location. I’m still dealing with them 4 months later.
This place is terrible, stay away! What a disaster of an office. I called and made an appointment, had to fill out paperwork prior, do a telehealth with Dr. and nurse, and when I got to the office in person, they had no record of anything. I had to redo the paperwork, wait 45 minutes, then the nurse refused to do what the doctor ordered. Unbelievable! Incompetent, and do not take safety measures for Covid. No one was wearing a mask behind the counter, little kids running around the back making noise with no masks, and receptionist had an attitude problem.
I had a very bad experience at this AFC Urgent Care center in Stamford. When I arrived, I was crystal clear to exactly what I needed which was a viral throat culture. I was already on an antibiotic for strep throat (bacterial) and my primary care physician told me to go to a walk in clinic to get a viral throat culture (there are 2 different throat cultures that typical get performed when you have a sore throat with accompanying systems). This AFC center made sure I paid my co-pay immediately before I was seen ($50 co-pay). After I was ‘examined’, ie: my temperature was taken and the nurse (not a doctor), looked at my throat, she agreed that I needed a viral throat culture (which is what I told them I needed when I first arrived). This center apparently ran out of the viral throat culture so they did a bacterial throat culture which I clearly did NOT need. I was already on an antibiotic for 5 days for bacterial infection so giving me that bacterial culture was pointless (even the nurse admitted to it).My issue is this, if they could not do what I was sent by my primary physician to do, they should have told me so I could go to another clinic. In addition, a nurse practitioner is NOT a doctor. Yes they can prescribe medicine but they are far less trained and require far less hours of training to practice medicine than a doctor. When I called the AFC urgent care the next day to voice my complaint that I was charged for a visit when I shouldn’t have been, the office assistant argued with me that the visit was justified because the ‘doctor’ (I corrected her it was not a doctor) examined me and they ran a test on me. What an absolute dishonest practice. I’ve called this center twice now to speak to the office manager who has yet to call my back. So I was basically charged for a visit I should not have been charged for and they could care less in resolving this. Meanwhile, they have signs throughout the waiting area that they can run tests immediately for sore throats to determine if someone has strep or other infections in minutes. This is simply not true. All their throat cultures need to be sent out to labs for results. They cannot give patients results in minutes. Complete false advertising. My advice to other patients is to avoid this clinic at all costs. They are dishonest and simply want your money. The right thing to do is to not charge for a visit if you cannot perform the correct tests.
I have a terrible phobia of needles/blood and the staff there did such an amazing job of making my experience go as smoothly as possible! I was helped by Nayera & Gabby they were so kind to me and even held my hand through it, when I almost passed out they handled it so well and immediately made me feel better. Can not recommend them enough.
The nurse and the doctor at AFC Urgent Care were patient, professional, and compassionate. They listened to our situations attentively and offered solutions to help. Our video calls with them went smoothly without a hitch. We enjoyed our telemedicine video calls with the nurse and the doctor.
Despite all the positive reviews I was not impressed at all. I came in with a horribly painful ear infection and was prescribed drops so weak I ended up in the ER later that night and the staff there said they were made for children. On top of that I ended up waiting for a ridiculously long time while the doctor was busy spending 25+ minutes talking about what colleges he likes with other staff members. I wont be going back again.
It was my first visit at AFC urgent care in Stamford.Hands down best staff! The front desk girls were cool, down to earth, the nurse was super awesome, and the icing on the cake was Dr. Lauren! The man is a gem! God bless him, and the staff at AFC urgent care in Stamford!
AFC is consistently great. I rely on them fully for any medical need I have. The assistants are clear and helpful and kind. The Doctors give sound advice and take care of things very professionally. My father was a Dr and I can vouch for this Urgent Care. Thank you.
I got a tb test done last week. Most of the staff is nice but there are some people who should not work with public. First, the nurse who administered the tuberculin into my skin hurt me on purpose. I have done this test beforw in the same place and it never hurt like that. She sarcastically apologized to me, but had a strange attitude from the beginning. Everybody else was nice, very slow service but nice. Then my arm had a reaction to the injection so I had to get X-rays done, so the day they were supposed to have my results, i called and a young woman picks up the phone with the worst attitude, i told her my situation and didnt even let me finish and said, hold on. She warned me that if I went there I would have to wsit a long time because the nurse was busy. I went there and there she was asking again what I needed. The nurse practitioner was very nice and had my documents ready very soon. I dont know the name of the employees but I remember their faces, who would forget...
One Word: very Rapid and Professional!
I had a good experience and was satisfied when I left , however, I was the 4th person there (arrived before they even opened) and I still waited an hour before I was called back to see the doctor and then waited about 15-20 minutes to see the doctor. It was also the most expensive urgent care visit I have ever had (I recently moved to CT from NY and this was my first time at urgent care in the state).
Facilities are great! Incredibly clean and up to date.Every employee was wonderful. Both warm and professional. Doctors are very knowledgeable as well. You always hope to not need them, but it’s good to know I have a place to go when I’m sick!
Not what it used to be. I guessed they are overworked and or understaffed….arrived at 8:10 and was told to come back at 10:00, ok. Came back at 10:00 but not called in until 11:15. Had throat and body aches so the receptionist recommended a COVID test, ok makes sense. Nurse explained I could see doctor only if I had the rapid test. I asked for the PCR test but then I would not be seen by doctor. Nurse left with my swab sample. While I waited for her to return a doctor appeared on the ipad sitting on a desk next to me. He asked for my symptoms and said we should wait for the rapid results. I was sent home to wait for my rapid results which I received within an hour as being negative. I did not go to be tested, I went to be treated. Three days later I feel sicker. I should have had the pcr test and skipped “seeing” the doctor. Going to my primary today. Wasted three days of feeling terrible.:(
The doctor is great. The 1 rating is for the front door receptionist and the nurses - cant say who is more rude! They didnt seem to Know how Insurance works or just didnt want to answer. I felt more sick that I was because of this treatment.
I’ve never seen such professionalism in all my years! Jessica is THE BEST hands down. I really appreciate all passion she put in helping my girls and I today. She’s truly a gem! I highly recommend them, and I will definitely come back!
The staff is very rude. A particular member had an incredibly short fuse and snapped at me after I asked for some clarifying information. It is apparent that some of the staff have a different understandings of the services offered at this urgent care. I received contradicting information on the same topic on multiple occasions. This facility overall shows signs of poor management.
If I could give a negative star I would. I walked into this place for the first time ever In excruciating pain. There was a young lady helping someone at the counter, so I stood to the side. Another ting lady walked up and looked in my direction but didn’t ask me if I needed help. Another woman who looked like the doctor in blue came out and said someone will be right with you (she was pleasant). Another 7 minutes passed until the young lady who initially looked at me and walked away came back to the desk, gingerly shuffles some papers and asks can I help you.My issue is, people are there because they are in pain, not because they’re looking for furniture. They didn’t give me a sense that they cared for my well being at the Urgent Care. There was NOTHING URGENT about the way they treated me. After telling her I was lived in Danbury, she seems to care less about helping me because I wouldn’t be able to come back there. Terrible just Terrible
Called in before coming and the receptionist was so kind - got all my paperwork taken care of before even walking in. The nurse and doctor were great and I was in and out and on my way home to start feeling better.
Worst urgent care. Third time attempting to come here. First 2 times I walked out because of misinformation on website vs what they tell you in person. There’s zero communication and their “waiting” system for getting tested does not work. Not to mention customer service is non existent. Received a call to come in and it still took over an hour waiting outside to be called in. Do NOT recommend. Make the trip to Mt. Vernon AFC- you’ll be pleased with them & their customer service.*If you need a rapid covid test go to DOCS in Stamford— just go very early in the morning*
The Best place! Very positive and welcoming 🙏 😊 Helpful people and very friendly! I would recommend this AFC
Roxanne has always tested me for Covid. During such a scary time, and in relation especially to waiting for test results, I cannot express how supportive she has always been. Beyond kind, and understanding, answering any questions that I had, to put my mind at ease- which is what I needed being so incredibly anxious. I have never experienced such a thoughtful, caring doctor, ever.
The staff including Doctor Lauren were professional and warm.I came in feeling awful, suffering from bronchitis, but with meds and a couple of days of antibiotics I am on the mend. The office was bright and clean and I felt well taken care and in safe hands of as soon as I entered the building
I went a couple of times and had no problem but the last time I went I was seen by an older female doctor.. during my examination she asked if I was treating my asthma with an inhaler I told her yes & that I had quite a few inhalers & she need not prescribe me another one. She did anyway but in trying to find out why she prescribed it I had to call the office several times, my phone calls were not returned over a period of 4 days & when I finally spoke to someone on the staff about being prescribed medicine I didnt need she was very rude, she sounded agitated & acted as if I were bothering her. It wasnt my fault the doctor was incompetent & prescribed me meds unnecessarily.
The wait took way long , appointment was at 1:00 , got in at 3:30 , that’s beside the hour and half waiting in the morning from 7:30 to 9:00 am just to secure a slot for the day . Well , I did a PCR and a rapid. Supposed to call me within one hour for the rapid test result . You know what , while I’m waiting next to my phone anxiously, they called the emergency number that I provided , my wife , who was not available. No voice message , didn’t try to call my number once . I called right back , of course automated recording respond w no human . I really needed this results today for work reason . It’s very complicated at my end at work . Wasted the whole day and not getting the proper answer , I played with your rules , but you failed me big time , I will never never use this facility again , will never recommend it . You made that happen.
The girl in the front desk was very friendly, and so was the girl who took my vitals. But as I was waiting for the docoto for almost 1 hour in the room, the 2 NA were having a full blown conversation about partying and ex boyfriends. I get it, we all talk to our coworkers, but keep it down a bit. Again, it was a very long wait, and there were only 2 patients before me. I waited over an hour and a half. And once I got attended, the “doctor” was in the room no more than 2 minutes. To tell me that the symptoms I was describing wasn’t anything. She told me to take Sudafed. I’m still wheezing, which she said she didn’t hear. I have a high fever, and my ear is in pain which she said was nothing. I am very disappointed, I will never come here again. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, because my friends had warned me not to come here...but I wasn’t feeling good and I decided to give them a shot. Never again!
The 3 Nurses that helped me today were very helpful and nice. Waiting time is less than 5 minutes. Fast and reliable. Will definitely come back for my physic.
This is my second time having a horrible experience with this urgent care. My husband is out of town and I had literally no one on a Saturday to take care of my 15 months baby. After three hours of waiting in line for my turn, I was told by a very rude receptionist I couldnt be seen unless I had someone to take care of my child. I explained I didnt have anyone and if Im sick whos going to take care of child so I must be seen. She didnt even look at me and just said your child is a high risk or whatever. Its shameful that they couldnt treat me as priority since I have a child instead of sending me back home sick.
I brought my 10 year old son in with a sore throat. They were very busy but we were in and out in less than 20 minutes. The nurse Mary was great. She asked my son questions to figure out if he needed a strep test or not and how long he had been sick. You could tell she is great with the kids. The Doctor was great. Even though my son had a fever and did not feel well Doctor Forno got him to laugh. The front staff was quick with the registration process
Absolutely horrible. Never go here. The staff are incredibly rude. I rarely if ever leave a bad review but the woman in the front was horrible to me. I wouldn’t wish this place on anyone. The doctor is via telemedicine and started me on antibiotics when in actuality I was misdiagnosed. Save yourself the copay. This place should be shut down.
Horrible experience! Apart from the ridiculous wait time, condescending front desk staff and having to talk to the dr on an iPad and then them not bothering to send a prescription, going here is a waste of your money, time and you’ll probably end up TREATING YOURSELF! Just DO NOT go here if you’re terribly ill.
Worst healthcare experience I have ever had. I woke up today at 6am to get to this urgent care by 8 so I could be one of the first 50 patients to receive a COVID test since there are limited numbers. I have been here until 1pm and will probably be here another hour at least before I get my test. Although COVID testing must be difficult work and I empathize with healthcare workers during this time, staff was BEYOND rude, making fun of patients in the waiting room, NOT WEARING MASKS! Awful, save your time and money and go somewhere else.
On a Thursday night at 7pm its not easy to see a Dr. without going th the emergency room. My wife had what seemed like a bad cough/ cold. It turned out to be sinusitis & with a Rx electronically sent to our local CVS she started on the road to recovery. The wait was short and the Dr. Very knowledgeable and professional. Our preference is always our PCP but these folks are good in an emergency!
There were 2 people already in the waiting area when I arrived. I walked in at 9:30 for a physical, walked out at 11:27, $185 dollars short WITHOUT even having got the physical (I got the money back but still, principle). “No wait” is plastered on the front of the building but I waited practically 2 hours (which would’ve absolutely been longer had I stayed) to see someone which never even happened because I was going to be late for work at 12. HENCE why I showed up at 9:30 to avoid all of that. Even if they happened to call my name within the next 5 minutes it wouldn’t have been enough time to get that and my tb test done. Staff could’ve been more upfront about the wait time. 0/5 if we’re being completely honest.
The service I receive @AFC was excellent and worth recommending
Great front desk ( thank you Emanuala), short sign in form, visited Dr. Within 10 minutes. They take Medicare ... unlike the Urgent care place in Riverside who wanted $225 + $60 for a urine test upfront. They were happy to send results to our PVP.
I visited on a weekday morning and had no wait. The staff were friendly and efficient. The facility was very clean and updated. Parking was easy. I would highly recommend AFC Urgent Care for your urgent or even every day medical needs.
Paid $100 for a strep test and to talk to a doctor on an ipad even though she was down the hall. The nurses and front desk people are very nice but I am shocked at the cost for the care I received.
The medical service is good. The billing is a scam. They charge you the full amount although you have a co-pay (and they know from previous visits that is not subject to deductible so thats not an excuse, but they use it). Good luck getting your difference back afterwards....
Messed up my prescription multiple times. Really unprofessional. I am in pain and couldn’t get my prescription because they didn’t send it to the pharmacy at all. Called back a couple times and nothing was done
Love this place! Doctors, office staff and nurses are all caring and amazingly helpful. Went in there last night with a dog bite and they rushed me in the back to help me. Nurse came right away and helped assess the bite wounds and clean them out. Very understanding about me being squeamish. Ive been here before too for a bad cold/high fever and had a wonderful experience then as well. Id definitely recommend going here over the ER if you can!
Dont go there. Horrible front desk experience with a woman called Jessica. Very rude, cut me off, she didnt let me explain anything. If you have an emergency go to Tully Center or the other location of Stamford Hospital. They are professionals, theyll treat you good and you dont have to wait long.
Great careHighly recommend to anyone
The level of flakiness in this facility is positively astounding. Our family tried to use it for an immigration medical exam because it has three civil surgeons licensed by USCIS. We called and asked if it was possible to schedule an appointment. The answer was: No appointment necessary, just come on Saturday X AM to Y PM, the doctor will see you. We come for our exam on Saturday several hours before Y PM, and the front desk person says: The doctor just told me he wont be seeing anyone for an immigration exam till the New Year. Like... huh? Wait, just... what? And of course no one bothered to call us and cancel the appointment because there was no appointment necessary. We called the facility again to try and use the Talk to Management option in their voice menu and were met with The subscribers mailbox is full and cannot accept any more messages.Avoid.
Front desk staff, especially the girl that sits on the left, has an attitude that could use some HR department counseling. Nursing Staff was incredibly friendly though. The female doctor I saw left a lot to be desired with her bedside manner and diagnostic clarity. I was diagnosed with the flu and they sent me home with Tamiflu but neglected to tell me it could cause serious nausea and vomiting or provide me an anti nausea medication. Ended up in the emergency room that same night. Had to be put on an iv and now have a face full of broken blood vessels because I was vomiting so intensely. Bare minimum kinda care.
Was feverish and had a headache for a few days. Just wanted to know what was going on. They insisted they couldnt help me when all I wanted was a diagnosis. I pleased to see a doctor and was denied by the person at the front desk. Felt very little empathy from the receptionist, she seemed like she didnt care about her job and just wanted to go.
I came in early on a Sunday morning and was treated within 10 minutes of getting there. Everyone was nice and attentive and the doctor was very professional and helped a lot. I’d def recommend it, this is my 3rd time here and I have not had a bad experience!
Great staff, Dr. Adam was thorough, kind, patient and most importantly accurate. Very clean and prompt service. We were seen by a doctor within 5 min. after filling out forms. We went on a Saturday when our family doctor was closed. Highly recommend this office.
Well, this is my second visit... I said I would never return after my last visit but my doctor sent a blood test prescription to this place so I have no option. It says on the website that they open at 8:00. Its now well past 8:00 and Im standing out here in the cold damp air. Once again, that stands of service are terrible. No sign of opening up. A couldnt care less clinic. Finally saw the receptionist at 8.20. NO NURSE TODAY!!! AFC Urgent Care...forget it.Try Labcorp 1290 Summer St...Suite 501...1 minute down the road...charming nurses...in and out in 8 minutes.
Urgent Care has replaced my doctor. Comprehensive treatment I trust. I went in Labor Day and was finished after 25 minutes. Nurse practitioner was terrific and left me with the confidence that the treatment prescribed would succeed.
I never write reviews but I am making an exception for this urgent care center. This place us awesome::1. Knowledgeable staff- great at explaining everything2. Friendly staff3. Short wait (and you can book your appointment online!!!)4. Easy and accessible parkingAND, of course...6. Awesome music
I walked in at 8:30 in the morning, empty clinic, with mild wheezing, asking to be seen for a temporary inhaler. I wasn’t asked any questions, not screened, but the woman at the front desk told me “a nurse” said they would not see me and I had to go to the emergency room for an ongoing problem. What other kind of problem do you have if you go to Urgent Care?
Nothing wrong with this place if you have something minor/common (cold, flu, etc) but be careful if you need anything more complicated done as a follow-up (for example, testing). Doctor recommended follow up tests which I did through AFC, which they then send to a lab for processing and are supposed to provide results and interpenetration once they get them back.First attempt to do this ended up as a bust: after a week of not hearing anything I called AFC whose response was we havent received results and will probably take longer. I then double checked with the lab who said the test was canceled because there was no test selected n the requisition form sent by AFC. When I asked AFC about this the finger was pointed back at the lab with a completely different story in which the lab told AFC their testing kit was out of date and I would have to come provide another test in an update one. I didnt know who to believe but I gave AFC benefit of the doubt and came in to retake the test and start over.Second attempt did not go much better: I redid the test and after a week I called to check on the status of the results. Response from AFC was havent heard anything but theyll let me know when they get the results. I then double checked with the lab who said the test was done and results sent to AFC the previous day. I called AFC back and they said they didnt have anything. I called lab back and they confirmed it was done and provided me with online access to see for myself (which I confirmed, results were done and I could see and download them myself). The lab also said they would re-send to AFC.By this time I was out of energy to keep at this with AFC, so I took results to another doctor and finished the process without them. As of this time (several weeks later) I still never received a call or email from AFC with my results and interpretation. No effort taken on their part to follow up or anything. Just completely forgot about me.Again, bottom line is feel free to go for something simple but you may run into trouble if you use them for anything more complicated.Btw, tried to call office manager before posting this but yet to reach them and cant leave message as their voicemail is always full...
Staff was amazing, I was in and out same day in > 1 hour.Went in not feeling well, was diagnosed with the flu and prescribed medication and sent on my way. Very convenient would recommend to others.
I recommended one of my family members to get X-rays done and turns out there was no X-ray technician to read them. The nurse practitioner was extremely rude. Had a very snarky attitude. Nor me and my family will be returning to this place. Complete waste of time.
Website states walk in anytime for a covid 19 testing before 6 PM . I came in at 5 PM and was refuse service. They stated they work as walk in but you need to come in the morning to put your name on some sort of list. Will not recommend, especially if you need it for travel. I had to take a bus just to make it here . Will not recommend.Note:There was also another pregnant lady trying to get tested they decline her too.False advertisement on their websiteTo management:Make appointment options for covid 19 testing only ahead of time to avoid refusing people of testing when they get thereUpdateWhen back to get covid 19 test. This time i went back at 8 AM/ ( more than 20 people waiting outside in the cold . No social distance. Placed my name on the waiting list and was told to come back at 10 AM.despite all the negative things b4 the testing and the medical staff in the back was very professional and kind.On the other hand, one of the lady in the front desk did not wear a mask at all during my visit there and was having interaction w/ the patients often.Note : By 9 AM they get full and no longer get patients tested for covid .They start sending patients out and start advising them to return at 8am the next day.
Very good urgent care. Better than CityMD in NYC. The doctor is smart and thorough and very personable. Great diagnostician. Nurses are lovely. Front desk could lose the attitude. Overall, love it.
Got a rapid covid test here. Witnessed a lot of clownery from clientele lining up to ask for a covid test and the staff were nothing but patient and tolerant even though over the hour+ stretch I spent inside waiting after the testing had reached capacity, people came in every minute or two with varying degrees of entitlement to ask for a covid test. They are absolutely swamped lately and doing their best and I have the utmost respect for them for it. Test was fine, quick, and doctors were super friendly and nice.
The last few times I’ve been here - I wait for at least two hours. The last time specifically- 3 ppl in front of me. I don’t walk out the door until 2 hours later.I sat in the doctors room for 30 min alone. Then the doc comes in - listens to my breathing and says I have bronchitis and gives me a script for a z pack and an inhaler.I dunno - if you have a real doctor - id go there. This places quality I feel is going down as of late.
First thing I did was provide my insurance card and was told there would be a co-pay. Ok, that sounded reasonable. Then I get a $200 bill because they now explain the charge must go to my deductible. Hey, if you are in this business, you should explain how it works to the customer, no? That part of the experience made it so I would never recommend anyone going there.
This summer I had to go back 3 times because the nurses couldn’t draw blood from me. I had given them a form to sign on the first visit for my school and on the 2nd visit I was informed they misplaced the form! They had to give me a prescription to have blood work done at Labcorp! Then this morning i’m calling to inquire about the COVID testing (because I needed one for an event) no one was answering. I arrive and after having spent money on a cab and informing the receptionist that I could not return in the afternoon (I’m getting there at 8:45am and she’s telling me to come back at 2pm) she basically just dismisses me and when I tell her that I tried calling and couldn’t get through to anyone, she informs me she was the only one there, she can’t do anything about it and just gives me an attitude about the entire situation. Never coming back here again.
Waited for 7 hours to get a Covid test, the staff were NOT WEARING MASKS. Like, are you joking???? The people at the front desk were beyond rude, unhelpful, and unprofessional. They were sitting around doing nothing, chatting about their hair and what they wanted for lunch. I was 20th in line to get tested, so they moved at the impressively slow rate of less then 3 tests an hour. Not surprised it took so long with employees who do nothing :) Don’t go here. Ps. I had to pay $50 for this ahahahaha
This is my 2nd them at AFC, and I can attest that they are wonderful. Very nice people, very prompt, organized and great with follow up. I wish all health care providers could be this good. I highly recommend AFC.
Ive been to a few urgent cares that provide similar services like doctors express. Hands down they are the best. I came on a semi busy day. I was in and out within an hour. While it did seem the doctor didnt want to answer all my questions, he did answer the most important ones. I already recommended this place to others.
Ive come to this urgent care many times in the past and the service has been great! however, the last time I took my son there at 7:55pm, the doctor had the nerve to ask me why did I bring him at this time, they close 5 minutes ? I couldnt believe it, like I planned my sons symptoms. Furthermore he let me know there is a pediatric urgent care down the road, Firefly, and they are open even later. I was so insulted and in front of my sick son. He tried to make a joke with it, but it wasnt a laughing matter. Shame on you doctor and we will go to Firefly next time!
The physician’s assistant, Dr. Mora was thorough and had a good communication style. Did not have to wait long when i got in as I arrived just before they opened. This was my second visit to this location and both times I felt the staff was professional.
What great experience I had today! I was surprised how fast and professional staff were. It was my first time using an urgent care but now that I know it is an option I will definitely be back.
What a joke this place is. Covid patients awaiting testing sitting in the same room with all other patients. 3 hours before I can get my pre employment drug test?? And I cannot make an appointment? I must check in and wait 3 hours with covid patients for a drug screen? I am a registered nurse and I have never seen such poor management and prevention of the spread of covid. I told the front desk secretary my concern and she couldn’t care less. I won’t be returning and I will tell everyone I know to STAY AWAY from AFC.
I had an appointment at 7:30pm. The nurse showed up after 7:50. The doctor came on soon after and told me I likely didn’t need a covid test, but since I’m an essential worker he would write me a referral for a covid test & an antibody test. He explained that I need an appt for a covid test but I DID NOT need an appointment for the antibody test, I could come in anytime including before getting the covid test. When they called me the next day to schedule the covid test they offered me 2 times in the next week & I couldn’t do either. I told them I cared more about the antibody test and they rudely told me I needed an appointment and “the doctor isn’t in charge of scheduling appointments”. I asked if I could make an appointment and they told me “no”. They were very unhelpful, and it was frustrating that the doctor & the person who called me provided information that did not coincide. I told them to take me off the list & I scheduled an appointment for antibody testing with the Stamford Hospital instead, who were much nicer to me.
I brought my daughter. The woman at the front desk were nice but the nurse was rude and obnoxious. She kept cutting my daughter off mid sentence. Then she saw the doctor who was extremely lacking in bedside manner. She had strep throat and she told him that she was unable to swallow water. So he wrote her a prescription for antibiotics that were huge horse pills. She cant even swallow water and he thought that she would be able to swallow huge pills. When we called to see if we could change to a liquid they said that our insurance wouldnt cover it because we already picked it up. I have never written a negative review about a doctor but I have never been so ill-treated. You couldnt pay me enough to go back to this facility. The one in Norwalk is better than this one.
This facility is a *gem*!!!Easy to find location. Parking on premises. Upon arriving, I was greeted by a friendly front desk person and was given just one simple form to fill out (ONE FORM!!!!). My wait time was reasonable ~ I sat in the waiting area for under thirty minutes. The entire staff was friendly, helpful, intelligent, and attentive to my needs. I walked in with a problem (a restless night with a number of symptoms) and walked out with a solution (a clear diagnosis and a prescription waiting for me at my pharmacy). What more can I say? If I could give this place a sixth star, I would.
Such a smooth experience when most needed! Thank you AFC for making a stressful day of sickness a little traumatic! Front desk was super helpful and medical staff was great.
This was the worst urgent care experience Ive ever had.First, the employee at the desk told me my insurance was out of network, even though I knew it wasnt. She said I would have to pay the full cash amount ($100 more than my co-pay should be) and contact my insurance company later. When I went back and said Id double-checked through my insurance website and I knew the clinic was in network, she wouldnt even listen and said it was probably because I was out of state (which is nonsense, as my plan works nationally). After asking for a copy of my paperwork (I was not provided one until I asked), I noticed that it appears the employee didnt even enter my insurance group number, which likely caused the miscommunication. I have now contacted my insurance and confirmed that AFC should have been in network, but all I can do is file a claim after the fact and hope it gets straightened out.As for the actual appointment, the PA examined me for maybe 2 minutes. I also noticed that though I repeatedly told the nurse and PA that my main complaints were 2 days of fever and sore throat, in my paperwork the only complaint listed was sinus congestion. Finally, they called in my prescription to the wrong CVS. Luckily, the CVS automated calling system lists the full address of the location, otherwise I would have been very confused upon arrival at the pharmacy.
I have always had a good experience here. The staff and doctors are caring and kind and seem to really know their stuff. Sometimes the wait can be long, but that is the case with any walk-in clinic.
From the front desk to the back .. awesome service! Fast and friendly... got my kids and myself flu shots since their pediatrician didn’t have appointments until late November! Just walked in and waited no more than 15 minutes!! Will be using them again :)
I went to see a doctor due to pain and ringing in my ear. I was told was an ear infection put on anti biotics by a dr there and sent on my way. Telling me I should feel better by morning. Morning came and went and while I was feeling a bit better but I had a different pain that started to affect my neck. Rather than get worked up I called the office. The doctor was off so I wasnt able to speak to him. I did however speak to a reception person who put me on hold 5 times in the coarse of 3 minutes and was unable to tell me anything other than come back and see the dr who is on, and pay another copay. I asked if the dr I saw could be paged. I was told no. Now the instructions said if I was feeling pain in my neck area I would contact a dr immediately. Which I was. I felt that any dr on should have been able to answer a simple question about the pain I was experiencing and if I should be concerned. I felt like it was pretty low that a Dr could not find the time to even deal with me as a concerned patient. The best part is I was called by a different rep a few days later as a follow up. By this time I had gone to my normal Dr and found out the new pain was due to the ear canal being blocked and causing build up of pressure in the canal. I explained this to the nice young woman who apologized for the bad experience. Still no call from the Dr. Now a few more days went by and I get another call from their facility. Asking what I wanted the dr to do as a result of my now week old issue that was resolved by my Dr with a steroid and some nasal spray. I said I asked that doctor I saw be told about the negative experience and maybe they should have something in line incase one doctor is not available to answer a follow up question. Well the girl who called the last time was snippy when the call initiated. She seemed bothered that she even had to call me at all. Then after explaining that I didnt expect anything from them at this point. But it would have been nice to at least be told, yes this is normal or no you need to come back right away would have been appreciated. I ended up taking care of the issue with my Dr. Well now her true colors started to show. After saying I felt it was inappropriate to ask me to come back and pay another copay to a different dr. And the person who I spoke with on my first call in being totally clueless and not even being able to offer anything. I doubt Id ever return there. I thought it was strange that on the forms they gave with follow up info stating that is pain went into the neck area to contact a Dr ASAP. Which I did. She claimed that they arent emergency and I should have gone to get emergency treatment. Not call them. She didnt say this is a nice way either. She was snippy the entire conversation like I should have known these things. When Im the patient who is in pain and not feeling myself to begin with and reaching out to them for help which I never received. In short I will never spend another dime there. I wouldnt care if they gave me a free visit. People who are sick need special attention. Not to be belittled and made to feel stupid. Good luck if you use to Doctors express. The only express they want is from your checkbook.
This is my 2nd experience with thislocation. I found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. TheDoctor took his time with me and had a good bedside manner as did the techs and I felt they were all knowledable in their area of service which is key.
I heard about this place because they reached out to my job. Jessica, the center administrator has been amazing with questions and top-notch care and service. All staff members have been very understanding and professional yet down to earth. Highly highly recommend.
