Dr. Karges is the best OBGYN I know in the Houston area. I am a nurse professionally and have had personal, complex medical problems throughout my 20s. Dr. Karges is meticulous, knowledgeable, and very patient focused. She performed surgery on me and several of my friends and family -- all of us had great outcomes post surgery. I always refer anyone in need of an OBGYN to her!! She is highly knowledgeable in endometriosis/PCOS management.

I recommend Dr. Karges. My last OBGYN retired, and I was worried about finding a new doctor that I trusted. Dr. Karges fits what I was looking for. She is thorough, takes the time to ask questions and answer any, and do the visit properly. I enjoy her take charge attitude during the visit while still being polite and respectful.

I was referred here by a coworker with Dr Karges to follow up on my pregnancy since i have had miscarriages in the past. First i thought she would be a good provider from my first visit. I also found out i was pregnant with twins which was awesome because i lost two babies in the past. Down the line i started experiencing pregnancy concerns such as cramping so they brung me in for an ultrasound. The ultrasound was really quick. next time i had cramping called again to follow up because i was worried and have a history of miscarriages. The nurse didnt sound concerned and said she will send the dr a message. I called back the next day to follow up because i didnt hear from anyone and was told that dr karges said she couldnt see me any sooner than my appointment i had coming up. Later that day i started bleeding and called the office back to back with no answer. when i finally received a call back i was told dr karges said she could not see me and to go to an emergency room. i left work and was seen at the er where they told me i was losing one of my babies. I canceled my follow up appointment with her which was the next day because i was already told what was going on at the ER. I called back to schedule and ask for a note to stop my physical therapy and was told they will reach back out to me . Next day i received a call saying i was dismissed from their care and needed to find another obgyn. I will never refer anyone to her personally. i cannot speak on other providers but i do not recommend dr karges, she picks and chooses who to care for the most. If i could put no stars i most definitely would.

Dr Karges was recommended to me after my previous care wasnt meeting my needs. Right off the bat I knew this practice was different. I can voice my concerns and they are heard and responded to. Ive had 20+ years of issues due to PCOS that my previous provider basically said thats the way it is.... In 4-5 months of Dr Karges care, 70% of my issues have resolved and for the first time in my adult/teenage life my iron is within normal range. I can not wait to see where she can take my health within the next year. Very thankful she was recommended to me.

Dr. Karges truly cares and truly listens. I have been her patient for two years now and I believe we have made a lot of progress. As hard as infertility is, I am sometimes brought to tears how I happened upon a doctor like her. She is patient, kind and will not rush you through her appointments. I brag about her all the time and I truly believe she will help me through all this. 10000/10 would rate her above and beyond always.

I absolutely love having Dr. Karges as my doctor. I drive from Spring to see her. She always takes time to talk to me and answer all my questions. She is concerned about my overall health, not just the end goal. She really cares about her patients. I highly recommend her!

Please be careful using Dr. Karges as your delivery doctor. I suggest you bring a doula or a midwife to be your advocate during delivery. She gave me an unnecessary episiotomy and I had a terrible terrible postpartum experience. I spoke to her about not being induced, I wanted to have a natural birth, spoke about everything in details of what I wanted. She agreed to everything. I should’ve listened to my gut when it told me she seems to be bothered by my requests although she herself sent me to the awesome birth boot camp training that goes over having a natural birth. She induced my labor due to concerns about my baby after looking at the ultrasound. Yet slowed down my labor. Soon after I was induced my contractions were strong and close together. She told me that walking wouldn’t help with the labor bc it was medically induced. 😒 It was after 6pm so I’m sure she wanted me to not have my son until “business” hours. Her nursing team also didn’t help me until the after 7am. Until then I was up all night with my awesome supportive husband dealing with my contractions which continued even after the nurse took out the inducing medication. The active labor nurse commented about how if I didn’t deliver before Dr. Karges came I may get an episiotomy. She said I’m not saying you will but it could happen. The sweet nurse was giving me a heads up. Another nurse saw that I was pushing, freaked out like I was doing something wrong. My mom tried holding me up to help me through the pushes. She was told to stop that it wasn’t helping. My husband was holding my hands. Saw the head of our baby then Karges comes in with her rude team who push my husband away from me. There I am internally upset about but trying to stay in the zone bc I need to have my son bc I was told something could be wrong with him. I push maybe 2x and Karges says something and my husband tells me he wanted to tell her no don’t cut her. But in a situation like that you really need a doula or midwife as your advocate bc they’ll be respected more and although everything is happening fast for you and your husband they are focused on advocating for your needs so they’re ready to say something. Unfortunately my husband and I trusted the Dr. More than we should have. And that’s only the major negatives of my labor. There were other negatives. I’d give a zero if I could. Please please please find someone else or bring a doula or midwife to your labor. I’m still suffering with some issues due to the unnecessary episiotomy and likely unnecessary induced labor.

Dr. Karges is one of the most conscientious OBGYN’s I have met. She is very professional and never takes any of my concerns lightly neither does she dismiss any issue I present. She has made two life saving decisions with two of my children despite my not desiring them. Due to her advice my husband and I made decisions we agreed on that saved my 2 children’s lives and my life.I had a successful VBAC with Dr. Karges despite being my 5th child she was never condensending but always pleasant and professional. I had post partum preeclampsia and her rapid response and keen monitoring saved me from any further complications and reduced my hospitalization.During my next pregnancy she monitored me so closely and compassionately that my family and I will forever be grateful to Dr. Karges when we look at our son and daughter. Any woman will be blessed to have Dr. Karges care for her.

I am so thankful that I found Dr. Karges. My husband and I have been unsuccessful at conceiving a baby on our own for over a year, so we decided to seek professional help. The last obgyn I had been seeing for years suggested putting me on fertility drugs and then suggested doing invitro if that did not work. It seemed as if we had no other options and I wanted to try and conceive naturally first before I tried anything else. I saw Dr. Karges TED talk on infertility while doing research on other doctors, and was touched by her message of actually listening to patients and finding the underlying causes of infertility. This is what I was looking for! A solution and not just a band aid on the issue. We have been seeing Dr. Karges regularly since March of this year as she asses my health issues which she has successfully discovered why exactly I cant conceive. We are working now through a plan to correct these issues so I can get pregnant naturally. My husband and I are both extremely happy with this approach and we feel that she sincerely cares about our needs since she listened. I highly recommend her to everyone for all of their obgyn needs.

I am writing this as a Health Administrator in regards to the treatment my wife received with this physician. My wife and I had just moved recently to the Sugar land area and was 28 wks pregnant and set up an appt with Dr. Karges. Upon her arrival, the staff was rude and told her if her paperwork wasnt filled out exactly by 9 am she wouldnt be seen. They also called her at 832am interrupting hwr gps to the facility when she was 3 mins from the facility and her appt was at 9. We have 3 children and my wife is pregnant with her 4th. The lack of customer service is unacceptable. Then when she met with Dr. Karges, she told my wife that she would need a c section because of our last childs delivery of his collar bone breaking. My wife has had 3 successful vaginal births, why subject her to a c secrtion? I work with all kinds of medical professionals and this is inexperience at its finest. My wifes health was not a concern to her. Only her liability. Very young and lacking in knowedge that only comes by experience. Then my wife called 2 days later telling them she was finding another OB and was not comfortable with her. Then 3 weeks letter they sent her a certified mail dismissing her as a patient. She already told them she wasnt going to go back. Her and her staff need to get it together. Unprofessional and inexperienced and I wouldnt recommend any young woman to receive care there with her.

I am blown away!! I have never been lucky/blessed to have a Doctor that really asked and listened. My first time. At my age, I should not be nervous, but I was. Because I have been to careless places. Not here. Staff is so friendly. Doctor is excellent! I wanted to hug her. I wanted to cry to finally have someone who cares.🙏❤️👏🏼

I have been waiting 3 weeks for them to call me back and let me know if they can even see me as a new patient. I have called and left messages, and they havent contacted me or gotten back with me at all. If they cant take me, whatever. But dont ignore me. Dont waste your time. I cant imagine trying to get a call back about something more serious like test results. Definitely finding another doctor who doesnt ignore potential patients.

Be aware! this is the most dishonest Dr ever. she only cares about her pocket. She intentionally put me on progostrone for no apparent reason even at 33 weeks with 400 mg daily dose . Then at 34 weeks of my pregnancy she did an altrasound at her clinic and she told me the amniotic fluid was too low at 2 cm. so she made me stay that night In a delivery room with an Iv and by the morning the hospital checked the amniotic fluid and it was 13 cm and got released from the hospital. I had an appointment two days later and after the ultrasound she said that my amniotic fluid was only 1.9! And wanted to deliver the baby after giving it steroids because the lungs wont be fully developed. My husband was with me and told her that its impossibe for the amniotic fluid to drop to this level without it leaking outside of her body, and that we needed another ultrasound for a second opinion! That did not go well with her and she kept saying YOU WILL LOOSE THE BABY if you dont deliver it soon! This was my 3rd pregnancy and I just know everything was fine and she was using a dirty tactic to scare me and my husband. So we went to the hospital for another ultrasound test and the surprise was that the hospital said the amniotic fluid was around 8 which was normal! She did not believe the hospital results and came running to me with a flustered look on her face and she did the ultrasound yet again for the 3rd time and this time she said that the fluid is now 4 and that she does not trust the hospital numbers. She said thats it get her ready for delivery and put her on IV fluid and steroid and in the mornig I will do the ultrasound my self and dont let anyone else do it to the nurse. Me and my husband refused to accept her decision and wanted to get another opinion from a specialist in fetal medicine at memorial Herman hospital. The specialist said after the ultrasound that the amniotic fluid level was fine at 9 cm which is similar to what the hospital measured! At this point me and my husband realized that the doctor was only interested in delivering the baby based on her schedule even though it may risk me and babys health! We switched doctors and the new doctor was shocked on the treatment we got for the first 8 months and the unessecarly progesterone pills she been given me for no apparent reason other than to collect money for unessecarly testing.
