I’m not usually the person to do reviews but after my visits with Dr.Caporaso I feel like it’s necessary. I ended up leaving his practice only after about a month of seeing him due to his unprofessional behavior. He will make rude jokes and asked me why I was here after some complications. He did a sonogram and seen something and said it’s not a big deal at my age. I was in so much pain but he didn’t care he will just put you on birth control after birth control instead of helping you. I ended up finding a obgyn that actually listened did a biopsy and is treating me for my symptoms instead of just acting like it’s nothing. Also he never lets you talk cuts you off and every time you go there he seems to forgot about who you are and talks to you as your a child and not an adult. Stephanie the nurse and the receptionist are both great and if it wasn’t for the actual doctor himself I would go back. Unfortunately some people should not be doctors.
He is very knowledgeable, was trained by his father-in-law (Dr.Jishi, who was the best) but he is too clinical which comes across as almost cold. He is just not a warm person and hard to read. Several of my friends have left the practice due to him commenting every visit about their weight (like we don’t know we have to loose a view pounds). Carol is fantastic and has been with the practice for a very long time. She is honestly the reason I still stay with the practice, I appreciate her consistency and kindness. The receptionist is hit or miss. I wish Dr. Caporaso has a better bedside manner because he definitely has excellent clinical skills.
I have appt at 145 so I called them in telling I may not be able to make it coz my son is sick and have to bring him to the doc. She said if I missed my appointment I have to pay no matter what. So, I even told her if she wants me to send her the doc note of my son and said no, same thing. I understand that people may have tons of excuses but they should validate first! Customer service sucks, the person answering phone calls is bad. I guess time to change my Doc, I need to stop recommending this office! People should be considerate!!!!
When I first started seeing Dr. Caporaso, I couldn’t say enough good things about his practice. I needed a laporoscopy and also wanted my tubes tied. I had fidelis insurance at the time and they don’t cover tubals. Since Dr. Caporaso was already going to be doing surgery there anyway, he offered to tie my tubes for free!! I was amazed that a doctor would do that. NINE years later, he doesn’t know me or my history! Doesn’t even know my tubes are tied! He talks down to me whenever I’m in there and acts like he’s above me because I’m a medicare/medicaid patient. He asks me almost every time I’m in there why I’m on disability. So I tell him, then like always, he kind of turns up his nose. He refuses to answer my questions unless I agree to pay him for switching topics. (How is it a different topic if it’s a gynecological issue?!) I tried telling him about some concerns at my last appointment and he walked out of the room saying that his nurse will write down his 3 rules, and if I break any of them, then I should call. WHAT?!?! He didn’t even let me finish what I was saying. Now, 4 months later, I’m going to a new office, getting sonos and testing done. There’s a growth inside of me, probably on my ovary. My entire body is out of wack, I dropped a ton of weight, quickly, without trying, (always a cause for concern) and he congratulated me!! Can you believe that? My maternal grandmother died of ovarian cancer. He knows that, well he would if he bothered to listen to me. He would have looked at my chart or asked me again if there’s any history. Instead, I was told that if I go 3 months without a period, call. It probably isn’t cancer, probably just a huge cyst (still waiting on results, just got the sono yesterday) but the point is, he didn’t care to check. Now I’m in excruciating pain, can barely eat... and then some more disturbing issues. All because of this stupid thing inside me that could have been addressed before it got out of control. Once again, thanks, doc.He also had me taking birth control pills for other medical reasons for about 8 years before he asked me if I have migraines with auras. I told him yes and he was like, “You have to get off your pill! You could have a stroke!” Thanks, doc. Luckily I’m fine.Dr. Caporaso used to show compassion when he saw his patients as human beings and not a fat paycheck. I’m done paying his bills. So when I called to have my records faxed over to my new gyno, the nurse, not the receptionist, told me I would have to sign a release. I told her I was seeing my new doc the next day and that I could come sign the release. She said, “technically we have 30 days to get them over there and he charges for that. I don’t know how much, the girl who usually does this isn’t here.” So I told her that’s exactly why I’m leaving his practice. I used to really like that nurse too, but she’s changed right along with him. Sorry I couldn’t give this place zero stars.
Stayed with this practice when Dr. Jishi, his father-in-law, sold it to him. Cannot say enough good things about Dr. Jishi---truly, a wonderful womans doctor. Dr. Caporaso, on the other hand, seems to be more interested in selling me his bladder leak repair surgery, despite my saying it is not a big issue for me. No warmth, no kindness. Always has to review my chart like I am a brand new patient. I am looking for a new gyn.
Do NOT recommend going here. The billing are lazy and dont put in your insurance even after numerous calls and complaints but will tell you everything is fixed, only later get mail saying you have outstanding bills in collections. Dr himself should not be allowed to go anywhere near women. I got the Mirena IUD and ended up in the emergency room with a severe iinfection from an underlined infection in which he knew about but still did it.
I went to Dr Caporasos office today for a second opinion. I love the way he spoke to me. He was respectful and didnt have any judgements. He answered all my questions and took his time. It didnt appear this office over books which is so common. The staff is just as nice. I finally picked my doctor and that says a lot! Im extremely picky. Thank you!

What a Great Doctor!!! He is always straight up with you.He never sugar coats anything .Very truthful. Thanks Dr.Caporaso
He is very intelligent and smart, wouldn’t ever see anyone else
If I could give negative stars, believe me I would... Staff do not return phone calls when it comes to follow-up on billing concerns & the receptionist is extremely rude and unprofessional!
Great doc, great staff!
The office staff are friendly
