Leena, Jada, and Kendall hopefully I’m spelling their names correctly were amazing! They were so kind and understanding of my health concerns. They were extremely thorough through my whole exam and called to check up on my several times after some blood work I had to get done. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone! Leena and Jada deserve a raise for showing true compassion and helping out people in need. :) thank you ladies for easing my nerves and making me feel welcome and safe! 🖤
No empathy, no compassion, no understanding of others situations. a women that checked me in was incredibly rude and just rolled away on her high horse when i asked her a few simple question about paperwork. if answering questions that pertain to your job is too much work for you then maybe you shouldn’t be working in this field. maybe she should work as a correctional officer or in a prison where you should have no empathy or compassion. also didn’t even get back to have my appointment, i waited nearly an hour after my set appointment time and still wasn’t called back yet. they want us there 10 minutes early for what then? the lady asked if i could continue to wait and when i said no this is not okay, she said this is how it always is. if that’s how it always is they should tell patients beforehand that they will be expected to wait an hour after their set appointment time. i left the facility with full blown anxiety and plan to get treatment elsewhere. also filling out the paperwork online they email you, it’s a waste of your own time don’t do it, if you’re expected to do it all for their “file work” in person anyways (the exact same information), what’s the point of doing it all online prior. this process should NOT be as strenuous as it was for me. i feel bad for any women that has to come here.
I came in for an appointment to get a physical and they told me that the doctor doesnt do physicals, they dont take my insurance, and I cant get an annual exam there because Im not old enough, all of which I submitted and uploaded to MyChart when making my appointment. I already knew ahead of time that they wouldnt take my insurance, but nobody called me to confirm my appointment, or check my information, or warn me that they dont take my insurance and inform me about prices. Maybe if they had been paying attention they wouldve caught the issues before I came in, because this was an absolute waste of time. I came to PP because Ive previously visited another location and they have my medical history, but if I had known that I wouldnt be seen here I wouldve gone somewhere closer to home and been seen sooner.Bonus star because the front desk employees were fabulous and recommended some other clinics I could visit instead.
I went around the afternoon of May 2, 2024. The women at the front desk were incredibly rude and catty not only towards me, but others as well. They laughed when they couldn’t read a single number I wrote and did that same thing to someone else who seemed to have an anxiety disorder or was severely nervous because she was shaking, obviously nervous about something and fueled by the stand-offish nature of the front desk. Don’t know why there were 3-4 of them all sitting behind the desk for a smaller clinic. The provider and the assistant nurse that actually performed my test were incredibly nice so I gave a star for that. I feel bad that the attitude of the kids at the front desk were overshadowing the others. If yall don’t like your job or hate dealing with lots of people, you don’t have to work there if either of those apply to you.
Horrible. Just wasted money taking a Lyft here and wasn’t able to be seen with my scheduled appt.No one told me I needed to have my young teen daughter bring her school ID. Then they told me they didn’t accept my insurance even though I had sent it in a week ago and got a call yesterday confirming my appt.Disorganized and a mess of a place.
Made appt 2 weeks in advance for my kid. Was called at 822am to come in 20min early. Arrived 915am (940am appt) to locked doors. Told facility wasn’t going to open till 10am. Doors open at 940am. Daughter wasn’t seen till 1020am. We were the first ones in. So I arrived early to be seen late? Unacceptable. Meetings or not, do not call someone to come in unless you actually can see the patient.Rude receptionist who took my card. Rolling her eyes to me and her general demeanor was unacceptable. I’m a single dad doing my best.My daughter was also estimated over the phone a certain price, to be then told something a lot more.We will not be retuning to this facility and deeply recommend others to go to another for your medical needs.Lastly the wonderful ladies out front! Thank you so much for what you do! Also to that security guy! Keep everyone safe my dude
I came in for an STD/STI screening. The last time I got one, three years ago, it was $124 without insurance. Since there was no information about pricing available online, I went in blind, and so was blindsided when I was quoted for $200.The staff seemed not to know their stuff. A second person had to keep interrupting the person at the front desk to answer my questions. What their website did tell me was that 4/5 people qualify for financial assistance. The staff seemed not to know anything about that, and when pressed about it said it would still be the same price. I don’t have insurance or employment and times are hard. I thought this would be a good resource but it was definitely not. When I asked if they could recommend cheaper resources, the first person gave me some papers with a long list of other places, while explaining about Maricopa County’s $20 testing program. So I look over this paper, and ask where the information is about that. “Oh, that’s not listed here.” So what, you gave me 4 sheets of paper that aren’t relevant to me? Yes, looking through the packet, that is the case. The second person brought over an obviously repeatedly photo-copied paper about Maricopa’s program, which is finally the concise and clear information I’ve been looking for.I’ve been somewhat overwhelmed by this process in the past, and tried to make myself informed this time about what tests I needed to ensure my new partner’s safety. This clinic was not helpful in reducing my anxiety or increasing my knowledge.
The only reason it didn’t get a one star was because the staff was friendly. I had an appointment for 4, showed up 15 mins early. Was told the doctor doesn’t accept my insurance, despite their website saying it did. I guess she was the only one that didn’t. Not sure why their website would schedule me with her if she didn’t accept my insurance. When I asked if I could pay out of pocket, because there’s literally a giant poster outside that read in big letters ‘Insured or Uninsured, we got you covered’, they said no. So not only did I wait for this appointment for 2 weeks just to be told ‘no’ I now can’t get my contraception pills, so, that’s awesome. I guess I recommend putting your list of doctors on the pph website as well as adjust the insurance information. Overall super disappointing
DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION. They will charge you even when youre 100% covered through insurance. They overcharged me $200. They will give you the run around about getting a refund. My insurance called and customer service messaged them twice 2 high priority messages about a refund. They never called me after the messages when they were supposed to reach out after 72 hours so l went down there. The supervisor will tell you she cant refund you its through a different department but shes lying bc my insurance and the customer service told me it had to be through the specific office. only when I argued that did she verify and issued the refund, therefore could and did so lied that she couldnt. They will try to make it seem like you dont know what youre talking about and that they didnt do anything wrong, but if you didnt do anything wrong how could I be issued a refund. the front desk lady is extremely rude and has a bad attitude from jump. they dont know what theyre doing. was happening to another person while I was there too. unacceptable so it wasnt just me and one time mistake so run.
This was my first time visiting this Planned Parenthood location and I am very impressed by the service I received. Every single employee that I had the pleasure of running into during my visit, greeted me and some that werent too busy even took the time to introduce themselves. The Doctor, the Nurses and everyone in between.. they were all just wonderful and made me feel very comfortable. From the generous Volunteer who escorted me from my vehicle to the entrance when I arrived initially, to the amazing Nurse who escorted me to my ride, to go home.. everyone was really great! At first, I was flat out scared/intimidated, with not a clue what was about to happen to me during my visit but my nerves calmed the moment I stepped into their office. Although the employees all seemed to have great attitudes, not to mention great work ethics, but they were also sensitive when the time called for it. I can describe them as just a bunch of good, genuine people that work at this location. Even if the employees themselves havent had to experience what I did, they just knew and understood what I was going through.. what emotions and physical pains I might have been feeling at each stage of my visit. Planned Parenthood.. from the bottom of my heart, thank you all very much for helping me. I appreciate each one of you and I hope you all know that your hard work does not go unnoticed. May God Bless You All! Again, Thank You!
Took over an hour to be informed that my insurance isnt accepted by PP when I submitted my insurance information in the online form when I scheduled 2 weeks ago. I was then pressured to pay out of pocket and when i mentioned possibly having a supplemental insurance they told me that Id have to wait longer and there were now many people ahead of me. That wouldve been fine had I not been guilted over it and made to feel bad for not being able to pay out of pocket. I just felt like i had to leave and figure everything out on my own instead. It was a waste of time and gas.
I made an appointment online and when I arrived the office had no record of it. I was able to still see the Dr but had to wait forever just to get an RX. Refill. Whats the point in making an appointment through the website if it doesnt work.
First, the start off with do not believe their website when verifying insurance coverage. For me this visit was a 100% waste of my time and the people in the office are rude.
Everyone was super nice. Shout out Jada and the girl who helped her draw my blood sorry I forgot your name but I think it started with an L. You two were extremely pleasant and I appreciate you both! Thanx for a great appointment.
Everyone at the clinic was so nice, all my questions were answered.
They were so nice & the facility was very clean! I was about 30 minutes late because I couldnt find my keys and that still got me in when they could, (just make sure you call ahead of time if youre running late) which I appreciated so much because appointments were booked out about two weeks. But if you call or keep trying to make an appointment online, like I did, then you might get lucky and find an opening if someone cancels. I already had my paperwork filled out and in hand so that helped out a little when I got there. The nurse that took me back and did all the initial nurse tasks, (weighing me, questionnaire, and blood drawing) was very sweet and super cool. When the doctor came in she was also very nice, she made me feel very comfortable. She made sure that my exam was quick and painless! She was very educated and well put together. Both ladies were courteous and attentive.Thank you Planned Parenthood for being there for us when we need you, from health education to health services. Thank you for keeping your office clean and sanitary! And thank you for making sure each patient feels comfortable, informed and taken care of.. Even with judgemental and uneducated protesters outside, you guys remained professional and friendly. Thank you guys for all you do!
I am leaving this review for someone close to me. They had a bad experience with this location. Women go there for a number of reasons. Some of those can be tough, stressful, and emotional for them so care and follow up should be very important. Some decent customer service at least would be nice. After many attempts to reach someone to address her concerns they finally got back to her today. About 5 days later, after she had to end up going to the ER. Then she was Hung up on after voicing her concerns and frustration. The staff here need to learn some bedside manners and how to follow up with patients.
I was just informed today by my pharmacy that my birth control (which JUST got refilled for 6 months) was cut off abruptly due to my provider no longer being in the field. I assume that’s what the ‘temporarily closed’ status means. No phone call, no voicemail, no text, no email, nothing at all to warn me of this. Could you guys if not made me aware, transferred me to a different location??? I am left screwed out of birth control now because all locations near me don’t take AHCCCS for another consultation I can’t afford and shouldn’t be needing. I can’t afford this. For the love of god WARN PEOPLE. SOMETHING.
Worst place to go. Tried their walk in service and got rejected so instead I did an appointment and when I went for the appointment got told they dont even have the providers needed for what I need done. This is not ok. At all. My boyfriend couldnt even be here for this I had to take the bus in the blazing heat of AZ and they turn me away not once but twice this place has lost all trust I had in it. I will never go there again. For a place that says they are welcoming to all they really arent. They made excuses and everything. Like they tried to call me but they not once tried to contact me. This is the worst. I know I maybe more then 3 months and told them it was important that I see a doctor but they dont even have that they only have a nurse like why are you open when you dont have the resources that you need to help ?
Brooke was been unbelievably helpful in comforting me and listening to me during a health scare I learned of during an appointment. I have been to clinics/hospitals where my concerns never felt heard.I am incredibly thankful for especially Brooke and all of those I encountered during my visit - they genuinely care about your well-being and helping guide you through any situation no matter how unnerving it may be.
Im unbelievably upset about my experience here. First I had an appointment in October. I waited in the lobby for 30+ minutes until they told me they needed to reschedule two weeks out. My appointment was at 7:15AM and they open at 7:00. I arrived at 7:00 AM to the doors locked and a closed sign on the door. Ive been receiving notifications for days in advance that my appointment was at 7:15. The lack of communication and care by the staff here is incredibly rude and inconsiderate to patients lives.
No social distancing in place in lobby, no disinfecting pens or clipboards which are all being shared, no disinfecting or door handles. and several patients with their mask off and not being reprimanded to keep it on.appointment was at 1:45. I show up at 1:30. It isn’t until 2:45 that I am asked back for my insurance info, then back to the waiting room. I finally get taken back to my room where I’m left for over an hour with no updates about when I would actually see the dr. 4:00pm the dr comes in. She’s only there for 15 minutes.a total of about 4 hours wasted today on a 15 minute procedure.I love what planned parenthood is able to provide and do for people. Having staff willing to over book is outrageous and shouldn’t be done at any facility. I would be charged/penalized for being late but no one even apologized for running two hours behind.
The staff was somewhat friendly. However I had to wait almost 2 hours past my appointment time. I really wish that they would of mentioned that in the email that they sent to me. Just so that I could of planned my day around being in a drs office basically all afternoon. What is the purpose of making a doctors appointment when they clearly can’t be on time?
Honestly such a great staff!!! I was so nervous to find out I was pregnant and I knew an abortion was the way I wanted to go. I love kids but I’m not in the headspace financially nor emotionally. The staff didn’t Judge me at all and made this such an easy experience for me. They were so gentle and I had a surgical abortion and it went great! I received IV drugs and those drugs had me out within seconds. I didn’t feel anything during the procedure and before you know it you’re back up ready to go. I didn’t experience any cramping or discomfort like they said I might which I truly love. I strongly suggest coming here if you’re like me scared and confused. They will take such good care of you!! :) 10/10 experience.
DONT GO HERE!!! They denied service to my underage daughter who became sick (reaction) to the meds they gave her all because she didn’t have her ID. They recognized her she was just there the day before.
Place is super friendly and makes my anxiety for appointments not as high....but damn trying to schedule an appointment with them is like pulling teeth lol their website says they open at 7am been calling them since they opened and only met with an automated thing saying that the office isnt open yet.....its 7:43 Ive called them 7 times!! I just wanna make a damn appointment like how hard is that? Ive also tried scheduling one online and that didnt work either. So frustrating!
I’m new in az and was nervous to go to a planned parenthood because I haven’t had the best experience in the past in a different state. They were very caring and worked with me during the visit. I got my nexaplanon taken out and I wish I knew the girls name she was very gentle and explained everything the whole “procedure” literally painless aswell . A great and easy experience for a nervous person that I am.
Appointment : 7:30 amArrival : 7:20 amDoors open : 7:00 amIt is now 8 am and the doors are still locked with a closed sign on it. I honestly cannot understand the level of f***ed up this is and the level of unprofessionalism. I got this appointment scheduled at another location. I got an appointment card with the date and time and location circled. I have not received a call or email to cancel or reschedule. So someone please explain to me what is going on. I tried calling the office but it just ended the call saying the office is closed. Online it says open. The schedule on the door says it should be open. I tried booking another appointment online at this location and it only tells me to call. I went to call another location, hoping maybe they can give me answers. The glandale location is closed today and the other location in Phoenix says it does not open until 9 am. What is going on?
For all the reviews that say that the clinic takes forever, obviously dont understand how busy and in-demand planned parenthood services are, and how underfunded and probably understaffed they are as well. There are very limited and credible resources to go to that specialize in womens choice health, and dont try and get you hooked on medication.I would say that the people and people who do work here are very professional and have more than enough training and experience more than people Ive interacted with in traditional clinics that takes medicaid/(ahcccs)every clinic has bad days but these people are relentlessly hard and dedicated workers, theyve given me a very dignified experience and that should never go unrecognized in todays medical current state of affairs
I’ve been sitting here an hour past my appointment time. I showed up 15 minutes early for my appointment and at 45 minutes past my appointment time that’s when they decided to tell me I needed to update some paperwork. I’ve been come to planned parenthood for almost 5 years and I have to say I may never come back after this. No body is destroying their business more than they are themselves.
Went in for a BC removal and I was so scared but the employees made me feel so comfortable and calm with how wonderful their customer service was. Super easy and super fast was only in the clinic for an hour tops. Thank you so much for helping me out PPH.
Wonderful patient care and REAL healthcare services are offered here! There is a fake clinic to the left next door and they try to steal patients so dont be fooled.
The staff were very friendly and encouraging, I was anxious about my appointment but was put at ease and left feeling great! Shout out to Damian for being very understanding and helpful!
Appointment: 10:25amMy arrival: 10:07amClinic opens: 10:00amCurrent time: 11:02amNeedless to say, I haven’t been called or seen...I am so sorry, Planned Parenthood of Tempe. I love Planned Parenthood, the services you provide to the neediest of women, and your advocacy for those who otherwise would not have a voice. I’ve gone to various PP clinics in two different states for over a decade, and today, you get to hear my voice. How the **** can you be this far behind schedule when I arrived seven minutes after you open? And what is with the attitude of the women you select to staff your front desk? You might be doing good things for the rest of the world, but you are certainly not doing so well here.
Ladys at the front are kind. But the person who attended me was rude for no reason, maybe she was having a bad day, but she had major attitude. Wait also didnt feel like forever which is nice
Apparently not a friendly place for a husband being supportive of his wife. Nothing but dirty looks, and completely ignore any questions any man may have about the whole process to be extra helpful after leaving... This place is very discriminative twords men, apparently if you come here with your wife you are either abusive or forcing her to do something that she doesnt want... To all men dont even try to come here to be supportive...
If I could give 0 stars I would. Had an appt at 1230 and still sitting in the fu*&^& waiting room at 330. Why even make an appt?! And how does a professional facility fall 3-4 hours behind??! Dont come here
5 stars! I had a well woman exam, std testing, and received a contraceptive prescription all in a safe and caring environment. The staff and doctor were warm and helpful. Great experience!
The staff was all very kind and considerate, especially the nurses I met—they made my experience much more relaxing and positive, especially when I had been so nervous and scared. Thank you all so much, I genuinely felt cared for.
Had a bit of a wait even with an appt but everyone was very kind and even the volunteers in front helped get you away from the anti protesters and fake building next door. Nurses were very nice and educated me.
Me and my boyfriend did not have a good experience here. They treated him like a second class citizen and they did not offer any compassion with our situation and I just felt like everyone was rude except the lady in training.
The staff is friendly to a point. They dont tell you all the necessary information so beware dont try to call to schedule for earlier because you will just waste your time and gas. The wait times are ridiculous. Be prepared to be there for several hours even with an appointment.
The space was clean and lovely. The employees were very kind and reassuring. Had no problems and love that appointments can be booked online.
Everyone was so kind and attentive to what you need. From the doctor, anesthesiologist, nurse, MA’s anddd the front staff! Definitely recommend coming!
Safe and comfortable atmosphere. The staff were nice and helpful. I would recommend this location to any woman seeking their care.
Staff is super friendly and Jacob was such a great help he really went above n beyond to make sure I was comfortable the ladies are super nice and did not wait long to be seen.
Very professional and friendly staff. They explain everything and literally hold your hand when you need it. Ill be going here for all my reproductive health care
I am a single mom and so I brought my son with me. I was then told after wasting gas to get to my appointment that hes not allowed there. That was out of the blue and discriminative. Never coming here again.
Yeah, DO NOT go to this area. They said they will provide me results in 1 week and its been a month now. Tried to contact them but NOTHING.
I literally just called asking about making an appointment and instead of talking with me the lady hung up on me. This was very rude and now I do not know where to go if I am going to be treated like this I do not want any part of this..
Could not find the place! Staff didnt answer when I called servers times. Then it said they were closed. Not cool and not professional at all. The absolute worst. Im just disgusted that they wasted my time and gas.
I loved the attention given here! I felt very comfortable:) it was difficult to find because it was hidden by a buy building in front
Arianna and Dr. Valliere were both wonderful. They were extremely kind and helpful.
Friendly and professional service, conveniently located. Protesters are a little annoying, but thats not their fault.
Still waiting to be seen. Drove an hour to get here. What’s the point of scheduling an appointment if they won’t see you until an hour after?
Very friendly staff, very clean. Love this new clinic its much better than the old one.
Nice facility but they don’t do free ultra sounds
The staff is unbelievably immature, rude, and disrespectful.
I was assisted by very kind ladies, I was in a safe and comfortable environment
Let me just say the female doctor here is very rude will never go back
Great people and great service.
Inhuman
These people are slow and take forever
Wonderful & kind workers
