CCRM is attentive and knowledgeable and has the best staff! Dr Martini makes me feel seen and heard and I know I’m in good hands. All the nursing staff, phlebotomist and ultra sound technician are experts and have made this journey as easy as possible. Communication is top notch! Don’t do like me and try others first, CCRM is where you should start your journey to preserving fertility on your way to motherhood.
I had a great new patient visit with Dr. Mark Payson. He took his time to go over my entire medical history, discuss potential treatment options and explained in great detail the procedures and tests that would need be involved for each potential option. He has a great bedside manner and is a wonderful conversationalist. I feel very comfortable in his care. Highly recommended!
Absolutely the best experience with the most caring and supportive team and Doctors. We all know IVF can be a very stressful process, however the nurses and the medical staff were so supportive, gentle and caring. I never once felt “short changed” with any results, check ups or billing expectations. I read some of the one star reviews and it’s unfortunate. The Vienna clinic always made me feel safe, understood, and cared for. We don’t know how to began to thank them all! Even through the hardest parts everyone was patient and sympathetic. Dr. Owen is one busy woman and she kept things straight forward with us. She was friendly, accurate and kept us in good spirits with options. Both egg retrievals were done by Dr. Martini, who is just a slice of pie! She is so busy but she sat with us before each retrieval to explain the process and answer any questions. My husband is extremely protective of me and even he is so moved and appreciative of how well they cared for me. Thank you for all you do here! We aren’t pregnant yet but we are hopeful.Advice to anyone starting this journey* go in with an open heart and realistic expectations. Meaning, approach your journey with kindness to yourself. Know your body and take care of it inside and out. Eat well, exercise and mental health care. Best of luck!
My family is forever grateful for Dr. Carpinello and the team at CCRM. From the moment we met with Dr. Carpinello we knew she was the doctor we wanted to go forward with for our IVF journey. She has very high standards of care and she takes the time to get to know you. She takes the time to thoroughly explain everything to you and to make sure you have all of the answers to your questions. I never felt rushed. I always felt appreciated and valued. Each step of the process was done with exceptional care. I knew I could trust her and I knew without a doubt that she is exceptional at her job. Not only that but the facility and all of the staff is unlike any other doctor’s office I have been to. They are efficient with your time. Each time we went to an appointment we did not have to sit around and wait. They were ready for us. The front desk workers are friendly and kind. This whole experience could have been very scary and confusing, but the team at CCRM and especially Dr. Carpinello made it one of my most cherished memories. We have a beautiful 14 month old baby girl and we hold nothing but love and gratitude to our doctors and team. If you are looking for a fertility clinic CCRM is the best you will find. The standards they have set for their patients is unlike anything I have experienced. I can’t recommend them enough.
We have a great experience with CCRM! I can feel the whole team is rooting for our success and guided us along the way. After 3 years of trying IVF, we’re finally pregnant— 9 weeks and counting! May you all send prayers to us for a healthy baby and safe delivery. Thank you Dr. Payson and CCRM family!
I was a patient with CCRM from June 2022 until April 2024. I had a particularly challenging case with a fair amount of heartbreak along the way. But during that time, I received incredibly kind and compassionate care from Dr. Martini, Dr. Carpinello and several staff members at CCRM Vienna. By the time I finally graduated, I was genuinely sad to say goodbye to some of the folks I came to know and really appreciate during my treatment. I was a well-researched patient who was comfortable with self-advocacy, and I feel that was respected by my doctor and care team, even in moments where we didnt 100% agree. I ended my time there working with their third-party/gestational carrier coordinator & they did an excellent job making that a seamless process. I believe they are the superior clinic in the DC area and I would definitely recommend them to others seeking infertility treatment.
If I can give “0” I will, this is nothing about Dr. Payson. This is about the team, the financial and care coordinator. This is extremely frustrated and they don’t respect me as a patient. As a patient, definitely I will have questions, but the only way they communicate is Salve app. The message said will respond in 24hours, but I am waiting for over 48 hours. And you will feel you talk to robot not real person. The nurse only call me once. You can expect never to meet the team except through the Salve app. If you need to speak with a live human rather than written communicate through their app this is not the right facility. However, I trust Dr. Payson, and I already paid. 😖I don’t want this unprofessional team members to cause mistakes during my treatment. However, if you are hoping to work with a compassionate team or have questions throughout the process, this is also not the right facility. Because of the level of stress that this team has caused for me which has caused delays, hopefully I don’t need to research another clinic.
I had a great experience with Dr. Martini and CCRM. Their staff, especially the nurses, are responsive and very helpful with questions. They use an app to communicate to patients, which I found useful for quick communication vs. having to call. Dr. Martini was attentive and knowledgeable, and I felt heard during our meetings.
Administration and billing are a nightmare to deal with. They made the process as difficult as possible, providing incorrect information, incorrect charges, many mistakes with paperwork, losing paperwork and misplacing a blood test, mistakes with insurance billing causing rejections and unnecessary out of pocket payments/not preauthorizing meds, messing up appointments, increasing prices after the fact, and making us redo tests over and over despite not being a risk. The way they handled/didnt handle this process made it one of the most stressful times of my life, and thats before the complications!I had thought that the doctor was good, but there was no follow-up after (not sure if thats common) and I ended up having life-threatening complications and needed emergency surgery. The only positive was that the egg retrieval surgery went well.
There are not enough words to accurately describe just how grateful we are to Dr. Martini and the entire staff at CCRM! We switched to CCRM at the recommendation of my OB/GYN after a few years of trying fertility treatments at another fertility clinic in the DC area. We were so pleasantly surprised at the facilities, the staff, the attentiveness and level of care we received throughout our time at CCRM over 18 months or so. Dr. Martinis empathetic nature and overall bedside manner are unmatched and not something we were used to after a horrible few years at another fertility clinic. After taking a few months off from fertility treatments, we regrouped in January of this year and decided to try an alternative approach of simply adding in some medication and continuing to try at home and to our surprise, I got pregnant on our second month of trying that approach and am 16 weeks pregnant now!CCRM monitored us from 4 weeks - 9 weeks and our graduation day was so bittersweet as we realized we would then be switching to our OB for the rest of my pregnancy. We are forever grateful to the team at CCRM and to Dr. Martini for taking the time to listen to our ideas and concerns. CCRM creatively approaches each patients case differently. There is no one size fits all/cookie cutter approach and that is what makes CCRM so successful! If you are in the DC area and looking for a fertility clinic, look no further than any of the CCRM locations in the DMV. You will not regret it!
Dr. Carter Owen was made for this speciality. Being a fertility specialist takes a different kind of doctor. You need to be realistic but caring - she knows how to do both and make you feel empowered. She made me feel like all my hopes to have a child were in reach and obtainable. She laid out a plan that was reasonable. I’ll be back to update my review as I’m at the beginning of my journey. But I have a new found hope!
I had excellent IVF results with Dr Payson. He was very honest about our odds from the beginning, considering we needed PGT testing, and I’m very happy to say we definitely beat those odds! I’m so blessed to only have to do 1 retrieval and 1 transfer with positive results.Dr Payson was able to do my retrieval, transfer and graduation appointment himself, and it’s nice to have the same reassuring presence throughout. Additionally, Colleen was my nurse for the whole process, and she spent way more time than she probably needed to listening to me waiver on scheduling and other decisions over the phone and easy to use chat.I previously was with SGF, but felt much more like a number. I only spoke with my chosen doctor one time at Shady Grove, didn’t have an assigned nurse, and had a lot of irritating billing issues. Could not recommend CCRM and Dr Payson more!
We could not recommend Dr Payson and the care team at CCRM NoVa more highly - we came in for diagnostic testing early on, which led to IVF, and went through 1 egg retrieval and 3 transfer cycles, the last of which was successful and resulted in the birth of our baby girl.Dr Payson is a brilliant and empathetic doctor who was genuinely invested in working through the nuances of our treatment plan at every step to maximize our chances of success, always available to answer questions and talk through data and research studies at our request, and paid close attention to our case throughout (including after we had graduated) to ensure we received excellent care. The nurses are kind, knowledgeable, and responsive - I had a lot of questions, especially after unsuccessful prior cycles, and Jen could not have been more helpful in talking through questions, getting us on the phone with the doctor as frequently as needed, as well as facilitating billing and the administrative side.Mark the phlebotomist is amazing (through many procedures, no one has been as dexterous in navigating my small veins), as are the rest of the nurses and staff. We would not have a baby without the excellent, compassionate, and results-oriented team at CCRM. We have many friends who have gone through IVF at other clinics, and we can confidently say this is the best fertility clinic and Dr Payson is the best fertility doctor in the DMV area.
Update 7/5/2024 (3-star review): Towards the end of the therapy our experience continued to get better. The follow-up visits were very quick and smooth. After we graduated, we could still ask questions and they actually replied. Most advice given were comprehensive and sensible. If it werent for early struggles, uncertainties, and slow responses, this would have been a 5-star review... However, its really hard to dismiss the struggle we faced earlier in the process, increasing my rating to 3 stars.Update 4/30/2024 (2-star review): Overall experience was better once we got on the actual process. It is still true that 95% of the time we have worked with the support staff. We felt disconnected with the doctors. They are very hands-off unless we schedule an appointment. The support staff is low on headcount and doing their best to catch up with the patients. There are also inefficiencies in the process such as scheduling the plan. Ebony from the billing was remarkably quick with responding questions and quick to act on mistakes. Nurse Megan is also great nurse but seem a little overwhelmed. Some more hiring may help.Prior 1-star review:I dont have too much information on Dr Payson. Ill update the review as I know more, but his administrative staff is very disorganized and unresponsive. We could not get the actual process started and they have no sense of urgency on their part. They drowned us in paperwork, some of which were incorrect. For example we didnt request PGT-A testing, they sent us forms consenting to it. In another case, they sent us a form saying that we took some genetic tests that we didnt. Signing it would be perjury. It took some days back-and-forth to fix it. The main way to talk to them is via Salve app since its very hard to get a hold of someone. Its been a month since we talked to the doctor so we decided to check on the status of prior approval. To our surprise, we find out that they have not even sent prior approval to the insurance. Im not sure whether they are understaffed or disqualified but this is unprofessional. Women deserve to have their timely treatment. Forgetting or delaying prior approval with 0 communication or ownership cause women to waste little biological time theyve got.
I am immensely grateful to Dr. Owen, the best Dr. I could have asked for, and the entire staff. Everyone was super professional, empathetic, patient and kind during our process. I went through two IUI and two IVF and I am finally happily 5 months pregnant. We couldnt be happier, and all thanks to this excellent place and the people who work here, they are amazing!!!. Thank you thank you thank you!!! I will always carry you all in my heart with deep gratitude 🙏🏻 🥰❤️. Below is a photo of the day we graduated with Dr. Owen and the entire team. They are great!!! They were with us throughout the entire process, showing a lot of love and professionalism. I hope to see you again for the second baby 🤗🙏🏻
Pleasant experience every step of the way from the booking of my appointment, to the professional front desk team, and the caring nature of Dr. Martini all made my initial appointment enjoyable. There is also ample parking at this location.
The clinical staff is great, however, the front desk folks could use some customer service training. They don’t smile, they are quick to say “hold on” when you’re right in front of them, not welcoming or accommodating at all.
So far my experience has been very disappointing to put it mildly, I’ve been into their office twice on the 3rd day of my cycle and somehow I still don’t have the right blood work done! And it takes them a month to schedule me every time after calling them 5 times. Honestly, I’m not sure I can trust them with freezing eggs, their nurse staff has shown very incompetent & irresponsible so far! But I don’t wanna go to another clinic and start the whole thing again!Freezing eggs suppose to take couple of months not a year! I hope someone could help me making the decision.Update: I switched to Colombia Fertility Association in DC, it was a long drive for me, but totally worth the peace of mind of knowing that everything moves forward on a schedule.
Totally agree with Sai “Sai” K.I will start with the positive part before a long list of bad comments about CCRM: Dr. Martini and her nurse were great. Very competent, efficient, communicative and on time. Now the long list of bad experience:The clinical nurse assigned to me was very bad at communicating: for example, she forgot to call to give me my blood results or called late to inform me about the next steps (medicine to order for the next day), didnt send me the information about the IVF process in advance (another nurse called me at 4.30 pm to explain how to take my medication that same evening), forgot to send the prescription which forced me to take more than 2 hours on a weekday when I was supposed to work to get some medicines in the last minute at the Vienna office...etc The whole IVF process is stressful and time consuming, and the nurse only added more stress. I had to always be the one reaching out via a portal. If you think, you will talk to someone, that is not the right place to go to. They only communicate via a portal and my nurse took hours to respond and then if, sometimes based on her response to my question, I had a follow up question, I sometimes had to wait until next day. The clinical coordinator assistant (CCA) was very incompetent. She sent us forms that were not applicable to our case. I asked questions, didnt respond to them but she kept saying you need to sign these documents if you want to move forward with the process and kept sending the same forms. After complaining about the CCA, we finally met with Ely who was awesome and made us sign the correct forms. After weeks lost with the CCA, we finalized everything in 15 minutes with Ely at the Rockville office. After that, for 2 months, the CCA continued to send me forms to sign even if we already signed it.Maybe we got unlucky with our assigned nurse and CCA (as I mentioned, Ely, Dr martini and her nurse were great) but in general, our experience has been pretty stressful and very disorganized. I would not recommend CCRM to any of my friends.
I started with Dr. Payson, a good doctor, and very supportive. His explanations are clear and straightforward. I have an extremely challenging time with the team and process. His team is passive and will drown you in paperwork. They will send email after email, and their communication about the treatment protocol is unclear. After three months, I have still not started with a cycle and still struggling to figure out what is going on with the paperwork and financials. I have been extremely frustrated with the financial and care coordinator. Response to my questions has been numerous additional emails. If you read the documents and have questions, their recommendation is to schedule with the doctor again, postponing the process further. You dont have much control over the protocol mainly because of the lack of communication with the team. You can expect never to meet the team except through the Salve app. If you need to speak with a live human rather than written communicate through their app this is not the right facility. If you are hoping to work with a compassionate team or have questions throughout the process, this is also not the right facility. Because of the level of stress that this team has caused for me which has caused delays, I am currently searching for another fertility center.
Introductory Experience -- I am a new patient at CCRM. So far the communication has been excellent and the doctors have been wonderful. Exactly why I chose this provider over other fertility centers in the area. However, I think its important to note that they do not have any doctors on staff who manage male infertility or male urology. The recommendations they gave us for outside urologists - none of them were covered by our insurance. We have went through such a process to find a specialist for male fertility and when we did they were booked out two to three months in advance - we have now lost MONTHS in the process. Months is a very big deal when you are in your late 30s. Weve essentially lost almost 6 months now just between scheduling. I would say if you have any concerns about male infertility, as much as it breaks my heart to say because the staff is great, you may want to consider looking elsewhere or at least take this information into account when making your decision. Doctors who offer kindness and care is a priority for me but it has come at a cost. Ill update this post as our journey with CCRM continues.
We couldn’t be more grateful for Dr. Owen and the entire team at CCRM. We came to CCRM after dealing with infertility and endometriosis. We knew after our 1st consultation with Dr. Owen that we picked the right provider. One thing I particularly enjoyed was her approach to our case. She gave us advice on how to make improvements and the aspects of our fertility that we could control. She focused on diet, exercise, the right supplements, and even mindfulness, along side of doing IVF. I’ve never had a provider care the way Dr. Owen cared for us. She took the extra time to talk, was very easy to get ahold of when we had questions, and I truly believe she fought for us. All around, she is just an incredible doctor to have by your side. We also had an opportunity to see the other providers there as well and they are all great. Our IVF nurse Sydney was just as amazing. She was always super kind and quick to respond with anything we needed. We never felt like a number there. We felt like we had our own personal fertility team just for us.The embryologists were wonderful as well. They always spent the extra time explaining all the details to us, allowed time to ask questions, and even gave us extra updates. We can’t speak highly enough about our experience we had at CCRM. When I walked in for monitoring appointments they all greeted me and knew my name. Everyone was so welcoming. Mark the phlebotomist had extra skill when it came to getting my blood. Michelle got all the best ultrasound pictures. Dominque was always so friendly and answered any questions I had while passing through. From the front desk to the surgical team, everyone there made such a difficult journey way more enjoyable. It was a bittersweet moment graduating from the clinic but we can’t wait to see them all again when we try for baby #2.
I successfully completed an egg freezing cycle at CCRM Northern Virginia and had an overwhelmingly positive experience. When my first cycle had to be cancelled, Dr. Martini took extra care when we had a our check-ins and when creating my new schedule. She her took her time to answer all my questions and demonstrated a lot of compassion through what is an overwhelming process. The staff was great including my nurse, Sally, the phlebotomist, Mark, and the surgical staff for my procedure. Despite some communication delays and frustrations with relying on the Salve app for reaching my nurse, I felt everyone was very on top of my treatment plan and I would definitely go here ahead in the future.
Disappointing egg retrieval performance by Dr. Martini. On the first retrieval Dr. pushed on the ovary too hard and the only egg left the follicle without capture. On another the Dr. couldnt gain access to one of the ovaries altogether, this eliminated 1/2 of the eggs in this cycle. For a doctor trained in this profession, that charges money to put their female patients through the involved process, only to hear they cant access 1/2 of the eggs is beyond frustrating and makes me wonder if they have the needed experience.
This experience with CCRM has been such a breath of fresh air. We came from Shady Grove where we experienced very unsavory patient care, lost appointments, and were treated like a dollar sign. At CCRM from the start of our assessment of our fertility needs, it has been an overall very good and pleasant experience with something that is so personal and sometimes depressing. Dr. Owen is our superhero, she Is wonderful and goes above and beyond to answer questions and be sure we understand everything that we will have to go through. Her surgical team before and after were PHENOMENAL, I did not have pretty much any pain and still feel wonderful even today days after the egg retrieval. They were so kind and very tender with me and I truly appreciate it. Also, your embryologist went above and beyond to find specimens that we could use from my husband so we could hopefully have a biological child and not have to use the donor specimen should we choose not to. I cant see another facility doing what you all have done for us and our family. We cant thank you all enough for everything and look forward to our transfer and our healthy, chunky bundle that I am sure we will have in a few months because of your wonderful team at CCRM. I will never be able to thank you all enough.Update: Our transfer went very well and we are 21 weeks pregnant with our bundle!!! Please be sure to go see Dr. Owen so you can have a great experience and add to your family too!
I never usually do reviews but this time I did because my experience with CCRM has been weighing on my heart. Also, it is important to me to let others know the type of care, billing, and outcome you may experience. The communication is challenging and it hard to get answers from the beginning to the end from financial to care. My husband and I filled out and sign lots if paperwork. Our insurance covers all testing and diagnosics but was still charge. I went outside the clinic for covid testing and was billed. I was told the PGT testing results for my embryo showed that it will not be a successful pregnancy. Then month later receive a letter saying my embryo was stored and billed. I called and the fertility nurse and financial person told me to ignore it and that I have no embryos and they sent this message out to all their patients. A year or more later I received a new bill asking do I want to continue to store my embryo. So I was very confused and ask is my embryo is valuable because I was told it was discarded. The answer I dont know you have to talk to the lab. The lab seem to not give you an answer. So I ask can we transfer the embryo and was told no because of the results. However, never received any written results of my embryo. I have been on an emotional roller coaster. I had my eggs retrieve Dec 2022 but no transfer but was billed the entire amount. This has been a financial nightmare, time, and chances destroyed. Please do your research because being desperate will cost you money, time and an true chance later. It has been 14-15 months later.
CCRM has come through for us far and above what we expected from a fertility clinic. Dr. Carpinello and all of the nurses have been so supportive, responsive and knowledgeable. We worked with another local clinic for 7 long and painful months before switching to CCRM and I am so so so glad we made the change. Infertility is awful, but working with a team that is as informed and involved as Dr. Carpinello and all of the CCRM nurses has been a huge relief for us in a very difficult time.
IVF is tough and you should use a clinic that values your time. I would not suggest using CCRM. After 2 years we parted ways with them. Some of their staff even said they would never use CCRM. Good or bad you will only get test results back if you call them multiple of times. It was usually tough to get in touch with them when questions were needed. If you missed a call it would be difficult to get back in touch with them.
My wife and I didnt know what to expect at the beginning of our fertility journey, but we are really glad we chose CCRM. I immediately loved how straight forward and informative Dr. Owen was in our consultation. Every office visit was easy. The staff are incredibly friendly and competent. From your care to the billing, they made sure we were aware of what we were getting into every step of the way. Im incredibly thankful for the insights and information provided by Dr. Owen and her team for queer couples looking to start a family. There were things brought to ur attention that we never even considered. We felt very welcomed at CCRM and highly recommend their services to anyone. Thank you so much Dr. Owen!!
My experience was from October2023. I have to agree with those who voice their opinions about the finance team for years - sounds like nothing has changed. Youre already stressed out about the entire process, you spoke to every team you need to before your procedure and appointments but you are held back from moving on in the process because the finance team delays your authorization paper work with your insurance. The promise during the finance consultation was either later that day or tomorrow afternoon it took them almost 2 weeks to submit the paperwork!!! The finance team didnt have issue with reminding us that it takes 15 or more business days to hear back. So thats stressful, the thought of the delayed process + a big window to when we will hear back. Either they need to retrain the staff , educated them on prioritization and timeliness and their service level agreements with the patients or just hire more people ! I had my quick + successful IVF process aftering leaving CCRM because of the finance team delays.
I give Dr. Carpinello and her staff a rave review. We were very happy with her care and the care of her whole team. Comfortable, professional, great quality and very thorough. The only reason we deducted a star was because we have had several issues with the financial department and issues billing our insurance incorrectly. Overall, would still highly recommend.
I had the most amazing experience with this clinic. The group of doctors at this clinic are all exceptional, especially Dr Owen! The nursing staff is extremely knowledgeable and streamline your treatment to make it as smooth as possible. The doctors and entire staff have every patients best interest at heart and they prove it with their results. My husband and I went through 3 egg retrievals and 2 transfers…and now we have a healthy 4 month old baby girl.CCRM is arguably the best fertility clinic in the country and wouldn’t recommend any other place if you’re looking for results. This is the place where professionalism meets success.
My husband and I saw Dr. Martini when we started our IVF journey and couldnt have been more grateful to have such a great Dr. From the initial consult, Dr. Martini listened to our story and established a plan on how to proceed. She always had such a cheerful, positive attitude that eased my nerves, since this process can be trying. My only complaint was that she wasnt able to deliver our baby! The nurses were helpful. We also appreciated the wonderful phlebotomist, Mark, who never left a bruise with the many times you have to get blood drawn and 99% of the time never felt a thing. Overall we had a very smooth experience and would definitely recommend Dr. Martini at CCRM!
We are so glad to find Dr Payson from CCRM Northern Virginia in Vienna.I had 3 failed iui’s from a different fertility clinic and had a ruptured ectopic pregnancy in 2022. We felt that it would be hard for us to get pregnant even with ivf. I didn’t want to go back to my previous fertility clinic because I didn’t feel happy or connected.Thats when we found out about Dr Payson. After our first appointment we were filled with confidence that we can go through ivf.Throughout our journey Dr Payson was very cheerful, calm, listened to every concern we had and he planned each step of our treatment. We feel like Dr Payson’s Knowledge and positive attitude were the main reason for us to stay relaxed and our ivf to work!CCRM NOVA in Vienna particular has the best people. The front desk staff, blood draw technicians , and ultrasound doctors every one always greeted us with a warm smile and we felt very comfortable.Mark drew my blood each time and he is one of the purest people I have met. Thanks for your prayers Mark!We will always remember the kind people here!Ivf is definitely an expensive procedure but if we take the expense aside it is so hard to find a doctor and his team that care so much about their patient. If you have the financial support for ivf I would recommend CCRM Vienna (In NOVA) for the best treatment.
Leaving 1 star because when I was a client, Dr. Owen was great. Very kind, personable, overall good experience with her; although I saw no results from coming to this practice. All the other nurses were great as well. The problem comes from insurance and billing similar to other reviews. Honestly, the problems started when Rosa (old financial counselor) left the practice sometime in late 2020, early 2021. Fast forward, I haven’t been a patient for over a year, verified that all Billings were paid back in Sept. 2021 (even though the front desk stated I had money left over that they kept and never refunded); and now I get a random bill for old services when my insurance company reprocessed a claim that should result in a refund. I have called multiple times, left multiple messages, and even logged in to send a portal message…no response. Let this be a warning to anyone interested, you do not need another headache during an already difficult time. Go somewhere else.
Dr Owen has been a god sent blessing for us. I was so fortunate to have met Dr Owen and CCRM NOVA staff. We had to travel 2 hours each time to visit CCRM. They understood us so well that they actually never wasted a single appointment. The treatment options were very well explained, perfect guidance throughout the process and psychological support we received were the best I would say. Maureen was always on top of things and she explain all options perfectly. I will strongly recommend to any one who are facing infertility issues to come and consult with CCRM. CCRM made our dreams come true and today we are complete family because of them. I would like to thank each and everyone at CCRM NOVA location.
We welcomed Corinne in Feb 🐥! The entire process with CCRM was wonderful and Dr. Payson is a funny guy. We will be forever grateful to the entire clinical team for allowing my wife & me to become parents.
You cant go wrong with CCRM and Dr. Owen. Dr. Owen gave me my baby boy that I never thought I would have. By no means was I an easy patient but Dr. Owen helped me through everything, always told me how it was and pushed back on me when I wanted to push the envelope. I will be going back to try for baby #2 shortly. Mark, the Phlebotomist is also a gem and makes you relaxed about feeling like a vampires best friends. We loved Dr. Owen and while trying to decide on a name, we decided to name our baby after her. Thank you for giving us Baby Owen!
The whole IVF process …. What a journey. My wife and I did Some research and found Dr Payson on reviews online. We chose him and are we glad we did. For those reading and considering CCRM, first and foremost I send Nothing but best wishes as this definitely is a challenge. As stressful it can be for the husband, the woman (wife) that goes through the procedure is who deserves All the credit in the world. The emotional difficulties, the shots….I respect all women that go through this or those that will go through this. But with positive encouragement from Dr payson and the staff at CCRM, I’m happy and thankful to report that we had success our first attempt. We are 8 weeks in and things are looking great. Dr payson is patient, phenomenal at explaining and is an ultimate professional. I did Not feel concerned from his coaching and process. Special thanks to the entire staff at CCRM. From those at the front desk, phlebotomists, nurses, lab techs and so forth, everyone was great.Only feedback is things can be challenging in terms of directions (video modules are given but my recommendation is if CCRM can give training on administering shots in person).Another item is when a nurse may change, some info may not all be exchanged causing some confusion. On the flip side the on call nurses via phone were all very helpful.I recommend Doctor payson. I understand with the variety of factors , conception is not 100% but again I highly Recommend this team as we were successful and I hope Anyone reading this will be as well.
Dr. Payson makes the atmosphere relaxing. He is straight forward and caring. I felt heard and he doesnt rush you to make decisions. He is attentive and full of knowledge.
After changes in our insurance, we switched from Dominion Fertility to CCRM, and the experience was honestly like night and day! Our primary doctor was Dr. Owen, and she was absolutely fantastic! She was extremely thorough with researching any and all health factors that might have impacted our chances of success and quickly put appropriate plans in place to ensure we had a smooth and successful IVF cycle. Everyone at the clinic, from the other doctors we saw on occasion, to the technicians, nurses, etc. were all extremely friendly, patient and professional. We were extremely satisfied with our experience at CCRM and are now awaiting our baby’s arrival later this year! We couldn’t be more grateful!
Dr. Carter Owen is so wonderful. We came to her after another fertility clinic had told us that we should start IVF, because continuing to try naturally would be a waste of time. We had felt ignored and condescended to, just another number. But Dr. Owen was so sweet and patient with us. She told us to keep trying and gave us great practical advice on how to increase our chances. It would have been easier and more profitable for her to just sign us up for IVF, but she gave us encouragement instead. Two to three months later, we were pregnant. And last week I gave birth to a healthy baby. I have trouble trusting doctors, but I trust Dr. Owen. Thank you.
I really liked Dr. Martini but was VERY disappointed by the finance department at CCRM. Because my insurance doesnt cover, I would need to be self pay which is very expensive. After my initial consultation with the Coordinator and me looking over things, I reached back out for additional questions through the patient portal and got no response. Then I reached out again on the portal and got a response to call their finance department. I called and left a voicemail twice and no one called me back! Because of this, I was discouraged from moving forward with CCRM as this is highly unprofessional. Very disappointed as I did like Dr. Martini but the finance team customer service was so unprofessional.
Had an amazing experience during my egg freezing journey. I was a patient of Dr. Payson and my surgery was processed by Dr. Carponello due to over weekend timeline. All staff were so nice and easy to communicate. It’s a heavy emotional procedure which I was getting a lot support from my nurse by every day call to check on my status. I felt anxious on the surgery day but the professional staff made it very easy for me and I had a wonderful results (mature eggs). Highly recommend to my friends/ family!
We decided to get a 2nd opinion after the 1st fertility clinic gave up on us after 4 FET and said we need a DE and more money. We met with Dr. Owens and she was kind, patient, and straight to the point. She gave us hope again, and we decided to try again. Now we are finally pregnant after 5yrs. Thank you Dr Owens and thank you CCRM.
Unprofessional people with no knowledge about treating people. Dr. Owen was my doctor at the time and it is really sad for me to even think about how bad of a treatment or should I say experiment she did on me. I did 4 cycles with her and I even took stomach injections which were unnecessary. Me and my husband paid these people $20,000 and we had no results and when the cycle was not successful Dr. OWEN OR THE CLINIC didnt had any answer and they kept doing more cycle to make more money from us. At the end I stop going to this clinic. Please give your self a favor and dont go to this clinic. Instead of replying back to people in here just give their money back, All scamming in the name of medical treatment.
We came to CCRM after a very traumatic medicated cycle at another clinic that left me defeated and feeling like I would never become a parent. From the beginning, Dr. Owen listened to my concerns and let me advocate for my needs as her patient, while using her expertise to guide us in the right direction. We dove into IVF and had a very successful egg retrieval, thanks to Dr. Owen and her clinical team. After a few months and an unfortunate run-in with Covid-19, we transferred our first embryo. To our surprise, our first transfer worked and we just celebrated our graduation from CCRM! The care and direction from Dr. Owen and her team was incomparable to other clinics. Also, the phlebotomist, Mark, got my crazy phobic-needle self to draw blood countless of times and walk out of that room smiling and laughing. I write this review laying in bed with the craziest morning sickness, but with absolute joy in my heart that I’m finally pregnant. Thanks you guys! We can’t wait to meet our baby girl in March 2023 thanks to CCRM!
I am so grateful to Dr. Owen, Maureen and the entire CCRM staff. We chose this practice because of their personalized approach, we never felt like a number. Everyone takes a committed approach to your care and shows compassion throughout your journey. Dr Owen and the nurses take so much time to explain everything, I was always impressed with this level of communication. I highly recommend CCRM to other patients seeking a fertility practice.
I have been with CCRM for over a year now. I was previously with another clinic where we did 3 IUIs, but were not getting the level of care that we needed and needed a different clinic for IVF. We switched to CCRM because they were a more focused clinic and their attention to care and detail was superb. The main reason that we switched was because your doctor does the ultrasounds, not technicians. This meant that I saw my doctor EVERY time I went into the office.I started with Dr. Moragianni who left the practice, and then switched to Dr. Owen. Both doctors were fantastic! I have also seen Dr. Payson as well when my regular doctors are not available. From start to finish, this clinic is the absolute best! You receive a warm greeting, a friendly blood draw by Mark, and you are quickly escorted to your room where you are seen promptly. The Practice Manager, Jessica, is so warm and so is Jen, one of the head nurses.I had three egg retrievals, and the experience was great, even though sometimes hard mentally and physically. The nurses take such amazing care of you, and the embryologists feel like family. The lab is state of the art, and head and shoulders above the rest. I only know our embryologist, Alberto, by his first name because he started to feel like family. He always called us on time with our results and answered every question I had.I graduated today, 8 weeks, pregnant and I am thrilled, but also sad to leave this amazing clinic. I will definitely be back! This clinic is top tier, and I wouldnt go anywhere else. You absolutely should use them because you will have a wonderful experience and you will be in the care of the worlds best. Fertility can be hard, but CCRM made me a priority and was with me every step of the way.Thank you CCRM! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!
CCRM Northern Virginia, and specifically, Dr. Owen, are the best thing to ever happen to our family! I am sitting here with my two month old daughter because of Dr. Owen. The minute we met her, we knew she was the right doctor for us. She treated us with kindness and compassion, while also communicating with us in a direct and clear way. After suffering numerous pregnancy losses in a short time, Dr. Owen was so supportive of making our dream to have a family a reality. She went above and beyond and truly got me through the first few weeks of our successful pregnancy. I cannot say enough good things about her and we are eternally grateful. I’ll also add that all of the staff were incredible and treated us with respect, kindness, and professionalism.
Is there an option for 10 stars? My wife and I just got out of the military and moved to the area and were excited and nervous to get pregnant. We had heard some stories about how difficult and scary this process could be. We went to the orientation that CCRM provides and immediately had a connection with Dr. Owen. Dr. Owen, and the entire staff at the facility, were class acts and the best at what they do. They set the bar for care and medical professionalism. They always made us feel comfortable and well informed. This location is very LGBTQ friendly, and my wife and I would recommend CCRM and Dr. Owen to anyone and everyone! We cannot explain how thankful and happy we have been with our experience. Thank you for this wonderful gift of life!
Dr Carpinello is an excellent human being and has consistently provided the most genuine & caring doctor experience. Highly competent and informative, but more important, incredibly patient and warm. The support staff in the Vienna clinic are also very professional and friendly. A very positive experience overall, thank you.
My husband and I started our journey at another local fertility clinic and cant say enough how glad we are that we switched to CCRM! We felt like the CCRM experience was much more customized to our needs and were so grateful to have Dr. Owen looking out for us, both physically and emotionally. Dr. Owen and the entire nursing team made themselves so personally accessible to us, especially on weekends and in the evenings when we were at low points in our journey. The connections were very real, which was very apparent when I was not the only one in tears when we graduated to our OB/GYN with our rainbow baby. Having no insurance coverage for fertility treatment, we were also so grateful that the finance department directed us to WIN Fertility, ultimately saving us thousands of dollars over our treatment cycles. From the front desk staff, to the surgery team, to Mark, the most incredible phlebotomist and kindest human you will ever meet, everyone on the CCRM team made the incredibly difficult road to overcoming our genetic diagnosis just a little easier. Were looking forward to returning to CCRM to grow our family in the future!
The prior reviews and thorough search of the website is what led me to choose CCRM with my fertility journey. They entire staff was very professional and efficient, which I appreciated very much as I live almost more than 1 hour away from the clinic and had to come in often. I felt well taken care of by Dr. Payson; he was informative and had wonderful bedside manner. Mark the phlebotomist, stood out to me during my clinical experience at CCRM. He made me feel comfortable and calm! Thank you CCRM.
I had been trying to get pregnant for about three years when I found Dr. Payson at CCRM in early 2021. At the time, Id been receiving treatment through Shady Grove Fertility for two years and had cried through four failed transfers with five embryos. It was awful. I felt like I was just a number there. I switched to CCRM and saw a difference in care right away -- and they got me pregnant on the FIRST transfer. We are now expecting a baby girl in 21 days! Highly recommend this clinic.
This rating could potentially change because I absolutely love my doctor and staffs r super nice but the follow up after appointment does not exist. You MUST hunt them down. The only time they follow up is to take your payment. I have already missed a cycle because no one followed up with me. My girlfriend went back to Shady Grove because no one ever followed up with her after her first consultation. She is now pregnant so it all worked out. There are so many reasons why CCRM is a better clinic than Shady Grove so try not give up if you are frustrated like me. Keep hunting them down to get to the next steps!!!
This review is intended for the patient who is struggling with infertility in hopes I can give some guidance and peace of mind. I, too, have been dealing with unexplained infertility for 7 years with my husband. My journey led to seeking professional help with local fertility clinics such as Shady Grove and Dominion Fertility. I met Dr.Payson and Jenn RN when they were with Dominion Fertility in Fair Oaks. I received treatment for IVF without success at this time. At the end of my treatment, I needed an emotional break before attempting further treatment, but I also noticed Dr.Payson had left the practice. At this point, I put conceiving on the back burner. After almost a year, I visited Shady Grove in Fair Oaks to try IUI without success. (I did not know which provider to trust after Dr.Payson left Dominion, and Shady Grove was simply in a convenient location. I also wasn’t emotionally prepared to invest in IVF with a provider I did not trust.) During this 3 year span I was curious regarding the whereabouts of Dr.Payson when one day my Google search popped up with his name affiliated to CCRM. I was beyond thrilled. I called the call center in Colorado and made an appointment immediately and waited so patiently for the office in Mclean to open. I was greeted with a huge hug from Dr.Payson, and guess who else was there? My favorite nurse, Jenn! Great people with like-minded clinical practices with amazing caring energy.I narrate this long and personal journey to communicate the importance of having confidence in the people you are trusting with this huge emotional and financial decision to expand your family. This journey to have a baby is a long and tumultuous road with unforeseen high highs and extremely low lows. You want a team who are knowledgeable, efficient, professional, and who ultimately care without the cheesy sales pitches. I firmly believe getting pregnant is a matter of time and endurance, and all the stars must line up just perfectly. You, yourself, must feel good and have confidence in the process. Vital components are provider, clinical staff, lab quality, and savvy financial counselors (they help remove any stressful barriers). All of which CCRM has embodied beautifully. CCRM stands out from my experience at Shady Grove and Dominion in terms of higher lab quality, easily accessible staff, different procedure protocols, and overall experience. The office included a surgical suite, which is pristine. (Shout outs to the surgical team who are so friendly! We laughed the entire transfer and during my wheelchair ride.) I sincerely wish everyone good luck with their journey. Be patient, ask questions, and get a good team of people behind you. You’ll need the support. Best, Devon+Husband+Baby girl April 2019
The staff and my doctor was great. Unfortunately, I wish they had better financial help. I had to put my treatment on pause due to not being able to pay my balance off in full. Aside from this, I would recommend CCRM. They are caring and making sure youre aware of things every step of the way.
Will change this review back to 5 stars once I get my bill figured out. I’ve called them so many times and am told “I’ll get a call back” and never do. I’m calling about a bill from over 6 months ago that they didn’t submit through my insurance. I am about to give birth and the last thing I need is a $500+ unnecessary bill with late fees looming over my head as I go into delivery because everyone keeps passing the buck on assisting me.Everyone here is so nice! I’m loving working with Dr Carpinello. Grateful for the level of care and service everyone here provides. A breath of fresh air!
Dr. Payson and his team at CCRM NoVA are truly exceptional! After having a deeply disturbing experience with another clinic in the area, we decided that we were not ready to give up and found CCRM. We were filled with doubt when we met Dr. Payson for the first time, but he immediately filled us with the hope that had eluded us for so long. It is that hope that ultimately got us through a long, trying battle with infertility. While not every treatment was successful, Dr. Payson always maintained a positive mindset and sought to reassure us without coming across as being unrealistic. He was calm and compassionate every step of the way, and we never felt uncomfortable asking questions. And every other person, from the person working the front desk to the person drawing your blood, treated us the same way. Our beautiful baby girl, Isla, was born last week, and we could not be more in love. We know none of this would have been possible without CCRM NoVA, and we will forever be grateful.Sincerely,Katrina and Bernie
Melanin LGBTQ women dont go. Dr Owen and clinic staff unwelcoming & act entitled and rude. Dr. Owen, she actually said to me, I am getting you pregnant. Weird. No maam, youre not. I didnt trust her at all. She is disconnected from patients & disorganized. She does not connect as a woman with patients. My donor spoke to her and we chose to discontinue she was very rude to him. I tried to get another doctor in office but she bad mouthed us so I couldnt switch. It was 2021, maybe shes changed, but, dont go.
I needed to give them a zero, but there is no 0.Doctors are great, but unfortunately, you have to deal with the staff 99% of the time, which is the worst experience ever. If they are short-staffed or if their employees hate their jobs, whatever the reason, work with them is a nightmare.Forget about getting your treatment here.
Dr. Martini and all of the staff at CCRM are amazing! We have tried other clinics prior to CCRM and there is a big difference in the service, care, and attention you get here. The phlebotomist Mark is truly the best. The support team, nursing team (Claire is the sweetest), surgery team, embryology/andrology team, and anesthesia team made every part of this tough process of IVF easier. We have a long journey ahead, but we are so grateful we have Dr. Martini and the CCRM team.
I cannot say enough positive things about CCRM and their staff. My husband and I decided to schedule an appointment with Dr. Carter Owen in November of 2018. I had previously had testing completed through my OB and a large fertility clinic in Northern Virginia. Needless to say, they were horrible experiences. I had one doctor look at my results and say everything was fine (even though my FSH level looked insanely abnormal) and dismissed my concerns. That office actually made an error in the testing, which was the cause of the abnormal results...which we only discovered after Dr. Owen repeated all of the tests to be thorough. I also had a doctor tell us wed never get pregnant naturally, which was incredibly disheartening so early on. On top of that, we dealt with insurances issues (tests that should have been covered, they refused to bill to our insurance).CCRM was a breath of fresh air. The entire staff is welcoming, positive, and a pleasure to work with. When I expressed concerns about insurance, one of the staff members called my insurance to document that it would be covered and promised to fight it if they tried to bill me. Scheduling was always simple. All of the nurses are so kind and thorough. I most often communicated with Jaime. I always had a ton of questions and e-mailed constantly and she always responded kindly and promptly.Dr. Owen was honestly one of the best parts of the practice for me. As I mentioned earlier, when I walked into the office...wed had negative experiences in the past. I was overwhelmed and frustrated and really scared about what might be going on. She spent over an hour in that first appointment looking closely at all of my past history, answering all of my questions, and reassuring me that wed make a game plan moving forward. She is so incredibly knowledgeable and patient that I immediately felt at ease with that appointment. I also really appreciated her extensive background in genetics. No matter what the future held, I knew I would be in good hands. She repeated all of the tests and always made a point to call me as soon as possible because she knew how anxious I was. I felt so supported throughout the entire process. When all of the data was collected, she helped my husband and I feel empowered to make the best decision for treatment moving forward. She presented all of the available options with research-based information to help us weigh the various costs and benefits and answered all of our questions honestly and thoroughly. We never felt pressured to choose one option over the other. She is truly all about helping couples make the right decision for them. When I got pregnant, I continued to feel extremely supported. She was there to answer all of my questions, monitor my early pregnancy closely, and make sure we felt confident moving forward. She even called me when I was around eleven weeks pregnant to check in and see how things were going. This was after I had already graduated from her care. I am blown away by her commitment to patient care and cannot recommend her or this practice enough. My husband even asked if we could pay extra to keep her as our doctor (haha!).Infertility can be isolating and frustrating. With Dr. Owen and CCRM as your provider, however, you will truly feel like you have a partner in this journey. We feel so lucky to have found them!
Like most have mentioned, the IVF doctors are good to work with. The staff, including nurses youll have to chase down for any questions. Some say they will get back to you within 24-48 hours but you dont hear back from them. Youll keep calling, go through their automated system, leave voicemail, send portal messages and repeat. I know everyone is aware how stressful infertility is but the added on stress with trying to get answers or even pay for your services is so disappointing and stressful. All of our consultations have ended with dont hesitate to reach out if you have ANY questions, we are here to help is a good marketing phrase. There has got to be a way to acknowledge these patients questions instead of being left unanswered for days, weeks and even months.
Beware of this team . They are lack of nurse team and they don’t disclose things Before they start treatment. They have this office just to get money from innocent patience who are dreaming to become parents. My gynecologist. I will stop visiting her from now . They welcome the people very nicely they will make your cry by end. They shave step by step plans tor reveal the amount they loot from us.They will ask us to sign bunch of documents with in few seconds due last minute treatment or test we will end up sign we don’t even know what they had in that documents. They are lack of nurse team, they don’t check portal messages regularly. All these gynecologist are also mother they should about others pain before they refer these kind of fertile centers
They will bill you endlessly for charges that are covered by insurance. You can spend hours proving this and they will still try to charge you. Theyve outsourced billing so your only options when you contact the billing service are to pay or not pay, they cant resolve anything for you. As for CCRM itself, they have no customer service to speak of and make it impossible to get them on the phone. The science is probably fine but as a business they are one of the single worst experiences I have ever had in my life. Get an email upfront because they wont return calls, and make sure that every i is dotted before you leave the office because its nothing but frustration otherwise. Just a horrible experience.
Dear Dr. Martini,Words cannot begin to express the gratitude I have for you as I write this letter. Now that we are finally pregnant I find myself frustrated that I hadn’t met you a year before starting this process, but none the less please know that Tom and I both recognize the care and time you put into our case and we can’t thank you enough for turning our dreams, and my dream since preschool into a reality. Since as long as I can remember I have always wanted to be a mom. That dream was made known early on in my childhood when the only toys I wanted ti play with were baby dolls, and when I would be asked as a kid what I wanted to be when I grew up my answer was always a mom. I can remember being 15 the first time I had an ovarian cyst burst. I remember crying in my hospital bed and my mom thinking she needed to tell a nurse I needed more pain meds, and instead I had to stop my mom and tell her I wasn’t crying because of that kind of pain, but instead at 15 I thought this cyst bursting would somehow impact me having children one day. I think it was also that day in the hospital that I thought to myself the road to motherhood may not be easy for me, but it was a dream none the less that I wouldn’t be able to live without. You’re care for me has blessed me with my life finally now being given the purpose I have so longingly yearned for, and I cannot thank you enough for sticking by Tom and I and not giving up on our dream when after having a couple miscarriages before beginning ivf, followed by two previous failed attempts before moving to ccrm, I began to feel defeated wondering how many more baby showers for ones that are not my own I would have to attend, and dreading the holidays knowing we’d be receiving Christmas cards of friends and loved ones growing families knowing all the while tom and I had remained a party of two. However thanks to your kindness and care for our case tom and I can now proudly share this long awaited news with our friends and family and for that we cannot thank you enough. We feel beyond blessed to have had you as our doctor, and I know that any woman under your care should feel so lucky to have you as there doctor through what is such a scary and frustrating time. Thank you thank you thank you Dr. Martini. Tom nor I even know how to even begin putting into words just how special of a person you are, but I hope you know that your care for your patients and talent is truly nothing short of god given, and you have forever changed our lives in the best way possible. From the bottom of our growing family’s hearts we cannot thank you enough. We love you.
I Started my treatment with Dr Carpinello last year December. Its been a long road but she was caring and understanding. She gave me my beautiful child I prayed for and am happily pregnant. I recommend her and if I could give her a 1000 stars 🌟 I will. Thank u Dr Olivia Carpinello and CCRM
NOT happy. The practice seems super disorganized and disconnected. Second practice after having to change insurance so I’m not new to the process. Been a patient here for about 5 months after waiting two months for the new patient appt. Had to wait two months after new pt appt to start IVF the first time. After one failed cycle and being 40+ I am suppose to be a priority for the next round but once again can’t get anyone to return my messages in a timely fashion (currently one week with no response while I am a cycling patient), tell me when my appt is, tell me my meds, ya know, the basics!! Ive had so many nurses I can’t remember them all. I’ve had to correct nurses about the plans for me as it differed from what the doctor had told me. Getting my meds approved last time was a complete disaster. And good luck trying to talk to the doctor throughout ur cycle / it’s a one and done appt. You get one video call before you start the cycle, and then one more after, no matter what questions or abnormalities there are going on that month, my requests to check in with the doc have gone unanswered. I’ve never met my doc in person. Seems like their billing department is the only one that moves quickly. It’s just been a bad experience, 100% feel like a faceless number/wallet. What a mess this place is. TBD if they are any better at IVF than other clinics but certainly the stress they cause with their horrible communication and lack of attention can’t be conducive to making good embryos…fair warning.
Place is just the worst. I love my OB/GYN and we wanted a second child. He recommended Dr Payson. He seemed nice enough but the staff and communication is atrocious. This place never returns calls, it is impossible to get a hold of them. Two months later they were asking for more and more invasive testing without any reason why. When one test was finally declined and we asked just to try drug therapy ALL communication stopped. I assume because it isn’t as profitable. Dr Payson told us just to keep trying naturally since all the “labs” looked normal. I’m a 37 year old woman who has been trying to conceive for 10 months. Furthermore, they never had our correct information so it took almost 45 days just to get access to the “patient portal.”What an absolute waste of time. This place is clearly about making a dollar and not helping patients.
Like many of the comments here weve had a similar experience with CCRM being difficult to get a hold of. The staff during visits is very nice and the facility is great, but the communication is horrible after your initial consultation and payment. Its beyond frustrating and its a shame because otherwise wed love the clinic. This is a delicate and time sensitive issue and you can never get hold of anyone on the phone, youre directed to voicemail which is never returned. Please fix this.
I was very lucky to be referred to Dr. Owen at the beginning of our infertility journey. Dr. Owen does a great job explaining every detail, procedure, process so you feel comfortable and empowered. After a failed first round of IVF, she was very encouraging and made me feel like it would work eventually...and she was right. I am currenly almost 20 weeks pregnant and I owe it all to Dr. Owen and the staff at CCRM.
CCRM Northern Virginias staff was EXCEPTIONAL and their location and clinic is state of the art. They considered every single detail and we were so grateful for them. The staff felt more like family and they are really going through this journey with you. From knowing your name when you walk in to celebrating each step in the process, and encouraging you at every appointment, I highly recommend them. When we have to go through the process again, we will definitely be using them.
I could not have more positive things to say about CCRM NOVA. I am not sure where to even start. My husband and I started this IVF process knowing only very little about the process. CCRM came highly recommended by friends for the personalized care. We have had the most incredible experience with this team or should I say family. Dr. Payson was our primary doctor but we also saw Dr. Owen and Dr. Moragianni. You are in amazing hands with all three. The compassionate personalized care is like nothing I have experienced before. Dr. Paysons is realistic, empathetic, humorous and incredible knowledgeable. The rest of the team is the same, from nursing, phlebotomist, OR staff, embryologist, front desk team and billing each person takes the time to get to know you and help you through the process. Everyone had patience with us and all of my questions (there were a lot of them).Their communication is amazing, if you have a question it is answered right away. If you need help with medications they take care of it immediately. The portal is easy to use and such a great tool for communication. I had two nurses who helped guide me through the process both Jen M. and Kaitlyn who made it all so much easier. Jen M, I worked with the longest and she literally is a lifesaver! Every visit was cheerful, everyone was a cheerleader in a realistic and humorous way. Mark the phlebotomist is the kindest (and thankfully really good at his job because you see him a lot). Charles and Sara (she has a new role now) at the front desk are always kind and helpful. The OR team for retrievals made the process so much less stressful with their kindness, humor and personalized care. Wendy, Christina and Sue took such amazing care of me and my husband. Rosa in billing is also lovely and takes the time to explain everything to you so you understand what you are paying for.I would recommend CCRM NOVA for anyone who likes excellent care, a kind and supportive environment and overall great experience. IVF can be very overwhelming and stressful experience but CCRM helps make the process as painless as it could be.
The only reason I’m posting a 2 star instead of a 1 is because of how nice the phlebotomist is. I’ve had many issues with Ccrm. First I get a 300 dollar bill for a phone consult only to reach out to my insurance saying Ccrm had billed it incorrectly. Then I get a random bill for a service I never received nor a date I was even in the clinic or in contact with a nurse or a doctor. I was only able to catch that because I constantly recheck their own work. Once I kindly raised a concern with the billing department they said they’ll take care of it. A day later and they are sending me the same bill… for the appointment I never had… for the bill they said they’d retract. Once I call to address the issue once again the person on the phone “ebony” had an attitude about it? Like she’s doing me a favor? I was voicing my concern about the constant misbilling issues and her respond was “do you actually have a question for me?” Very unprofessional. The last appointment I had scheduled I was told “it’s only a 25 co-pay” then turns out to be 50. constant misbilling and lack of transparency. Lastly, when I first went in for blood work that was supposed to include hormones, they later tell me that was actually not done and they needed to redraw blood. Causing me to have to reschedule yet another appointment to go over the results they should have already had. This is not to mention the constant phone tag and sometimes hanging up on me. Mind you I’m a new patient and this all happened in a span of one month. And I still have yet to meet my doctor
Choose Shady Grove Fertility instead (they were wonderful!). At CCRM I scheduled an HSG procedure on day 10 of my cycle. Called multiple times to confirm if I needed to do anything in advance or prepare in a certain way, and was told I didn’t need anything. When I get there they inform me that they need a urine sample, since I wasn’t ready for it (they never mentioned it) and had recently emptied my bladder I needed some time to replenish. After 10 mins I was told it was too late and I would need to reschedule the appointment for my next cycle. It’s the most unprofessional situation I’ve experienced in my life! Playing with people’s lives and making them wait another month due to their own negligence.
We met Dr. Payson in 2019, we were both 37 and 36 and were desperate for children after my wifes miscarriage. Dr. Payson was honest since day one, he is very meticulous and carries his duties with military precision. If my wifes lab results are off by a number, he would hold off and redo the treatments until the numbers are all lined up. Our baby son was born nearly 3 months ago, healthy and the most beautiful thing ever happened to us. Dr. Payson and CCRM gets all the credits. I work in health care and understand how hard it is to deal with patients, CCRM gets a high mark in every category. You guys are doings Gods work.
I was a patient of Dr. Paysons starting in late 2017. Before then, we had failed in our attempts with an out-of-state fertility clinic. We had one more shot and based on Dr. Paysons reputation and CCRMs, we took a leap of faith. Everyone who works at the Northern Virginia location is so incredibly kind, professional, and optimistic, and they all are rooting for you to succeed. I never felt like a number or that I was being rushed, which is important when you spend so much time there. During my care with Dr. Payson, I put my trust into him completely. He is incredibly thorough and knowledgeable, and he always took time to address any questions or concerns I had. I am so happy and grateful to report that we became pregnant on our first try. I would absolutely recommend him and his team to anyone trying to conceive.
Fertility journey is very hard and stressful at times, We have tried other clinics before CCRM but no where was as comforting and caring as CCRM.We have had a great experience with CCRM and Dr. Payson. The staff are kind, empathic and helpful. Dr. Payson is very knowledgeable and caring, his protocols were amazing and effective. He patiently answered our every question, even the silly ones, and clearly explained the plan to us from the outset. His sense of calm and confidence at every step and during every procedure was reassuring. Procedures and tests were all performed in a timely manner. Im now pregnant for the first time and owe it to Dr. Payson and CCRM. I also express my gratitude to CCRM staff, Jennifer, Kaitlin and Mark.
Weve been patients for a couple of months now and are aghast at the cavalier approach this practice takes towards patient care. As mentioned in previous reviews here, messages (patient portal messages, voice messages, etc) are met with radio silence. Prescriptions are called in without explanation of why the medication is being prescribed, and twice to the incorrect pharmacy. Rarely, do we speak to the same person twice, whether it be a doctor, patient specialist or nurse. The inter-office communication between practitioners appears to us as often incomplete and extraordinarily sloppy. That is, we find ourselves challenging what is told to us since it doesnt match what the previous practitioner communicated. Sensitive medical information is delayed as to be useless by the time its delivered. I come from a family of doctors and can confidently say that this type of treatment from medical professionals is absolutely unacceptable. Dr. Payson and the phlebotomist are very nice and very professional and very knowledgable. Its a shame that the quality of their services are blunted by the lack of professionalism practiced by others in their office.
My husband and I came to CCRM after having several negative outcomes and a rather horrible experience at another fertility clinic. The whole process of dealing with infertility is awful, but the previous clinic particularly magnified the stress and discomfort involved. After finally deciding to make the switch to CCRM, we found that both the staff and Dr. Payson went above and beyond to take care of us through what is otherwise a very stressful and emotional process. Dr. Payson is extremely knowledgeable in his field and has a wonderful, confident, and contagious optimism. He took time out to be available to us to answer any and all questions we had no matter the time or day. He clearly thought a lot about our issues and the best way to address them particular to me individually, as opposed to following a rote protocol that the previous clinic applied to everyone. The difference between what we experienced with Dr. Payson compared with the the other clinic was profound at every step of the process. We also can’t say enough about the staff, who were helpful, kind, friendly, competent, and incredibly interested and engaged in their work. Most importantly, we had a successful outcome on our first round of IVF at CCRM after having multiple rounds of negative outcomes at the previous clinic. We highly recommend this clinic, staff, and Dr. Payson!
Where to start? I guess at the beginning! When you walk into CCRM, you’re greeted by people who grow to know you. They know your name when you walk in to sign in and greet you with a feeling of comfort and ease. It seems like such a simple thing but you don’t get that at every fertility clinic. This is one of the scariest times of your life and you feel vulnerable. But you’re greeted by people who will become like family. Not an unknown stranger or traveling to different offices to see different doctors and feeling like one of the crowd. You’re then taken back to get your blood drawn by Mark. Who basically brightens the day of every person he sees. He’ll remember little things about your life and keep you smiling. Not to mention he’s a pro at drawing blood. And I’ve had blood drawn a LOT.When you see the doctors, either Dr. Payson or Dr. Owen, you’ll feel like they’re going to get this figured out. They have the answers or even if they don’t, they’ll find them. Dr Moragianni (who is no longer there) and Dr. Owen have eased so many concerns of mine and I am forever thankful to them. Words genuinely don’t do Dr. Owen justice. She gave us our baby. I mean how do you thank someone for that?! They truly care. Which, once again, you don’t get everywhere. I originally went to another popular clinic and it felt like a factory. CCRM is not that. The nurses help you along they way, answering every little question quickly (and trust me, I had a lot). Jess, who is now the practice manager there, has truly become a friend. She eased every single concern, worry or fear I had (at all hours of the day) and went above and beyond to make me feel like I was the only patient at CCRM. Sometimes I forget I’m not hehe. Now, she gets updates every month on our growing little babe. Outside of our family, she’s the first one I can’t wait to send every ultrasound picture to. Our baby will most likely know her as Aunt Jess. I can’t tell you how much she means to me. I’m convinced she may be an angel. And no one can prove me wrong. Our journey was not easy. We went through 4 years of unexplained infertility, 3 IUI’s, 2 rounds of IVF and 1 embryo transfer, which truly felt like a roller coaster of emotion. But I can honestly say, if it weren’t for CCRM I don’t know if I’d be carrying our miracle baby right now. And I can’t end without mentioning the embryologists. Holy smokes. Can we talk about people who are literally holding life in their hands. You meet them, they call you, give you updates, in my case- play our embryos Taylor Swift while they’re growing and they go above and beyond to make you feel comforted, safe and heard. I mean, if playing our embryo Taylor Swift music is not going above and beyond... I don’t know what is.Not only has CCRM helped us create our family, they have also become our second family. I cannot even begin to put into words what CCRM has provided for us... but of course, I’ll try ;) They provided us comfort when we were battling one of the hardest trials of our life. They provided us knowledge and information when we felt lost. And the provided us with the means and science to create our little miracle baby. I genuinely didn’t want to leave when we graduated to our OBGYN. I’ll see you for baby #2 CCRM!
After a failure in another clinic and being told to use egg donors, we made some research and found Dr. Payson. Finding Dr. Payson was one of the best things that has happened in our lives. Thanks to him, in my forties, I am able to hold my healthy baby in my arms.Dr. Payson was dedicated and empathetic, he always went above and beyond to ensure successful cycles. CCRM Staff, nurses, surgery team and embryologists are very professional and well organized. There were a lot of highs and lows during our IVF treatment and they cared about us in every step to make us feel like a part of the family. Having experience in other clinics, I can say that they are the best in every category!
Dr. Carpinello is very kind, patient, and knowledgeable. I’m so glad I choose her for my journey to motherhood. She is an excellent doctor and highly recommended. She made me comfortable and listened to any concerns I expressed.
We cannot recommend Dr. Payson and CCRM highly enough. Dr. Payson is incredibly kind, patient, and compassionate. We also found the front desk (Keyrea), the nurses (Kaitlyn and Sue in particular), and other staff (Mark the phlebotomist and others) to be wonderfully kind and willing to spend time needed to answer our questions and work with us. Our embryologist (Alberto) was also great and super attentive. In addition, CCRM was extremely available to us when we needed to call during off hours with urgent questions; they were responsive and caring.IVF is a lot to go through — working with CCRM led to a quality experience and a beautiful outcome.Dr. Payson and the team at CCRM helped to change our lives, and we are so grateful.
CCRM has been a nightmare to deal with. The team is a nightmare to get ahold of, highly unresponsive, and not helpful. It takes ages to hear back from them. Even scheduling appointments is a waiting game. Please stay far away from them. We went to them based on national reputation, but it was highly misplaced. All the science is useless when it is incompetent, unprofessional, and not patient friendly.
I was a patient a differenr clinic in another state where we tried IVF for a couple of time in the past. we felt just like one more couple struggling in the process of conceiving. After our recent move to the DC area, we decided to try one more time with the CCRM and Dr. Payson who we were told to be one of the best in the country. We havent finished treatment yet and we know our odds for getting pregnant with my own eggs are very low. Despite of that, we wanted to register here the experience we’ve been having this far...Dr. Payson is such a great doctor! He has been with us in every step of this process. I never felt that i was left off by him or anyone in his office. We are not just another couple trying to conceive...He is Experienced, realistic, caring and very sincere about our options, while keeping it very positive.Additionally, his staff is so so caring, always available and on top of everything!I am sure i will come back with very positive news soon!!!I truly recommend Dr Payson and his staff! They are the best!Melissa
All stuffs including receptionists, nurses and doctors (Dr. Payson, Dr. Owen and Dr. Moragianni) in Virginia are so professional and also so kind. Every time I visited them, I was healed. I used to hate blood check before, but here I was so comfortable for it because of great stuffs and doctors. All Stuffs Services here are beyond expectations. Now we have the beautiful baby boy with us. Thank You CCRM very much for all your supports.
I cant speak more highly of our experience with Dr. Payson and his team at CCRM Northern Virginia. After a frustrating year and a half of fertility treatments elsewhere - all with a diagnosis of unexplained infertility - Dr. Payson really took the time to study our case and our records, and I felt he was personally invested in our success. I saw him almost daily during my IVF stimulation cycle, as finding the right dose was tricky, but he was committed to getting it right. Dr. Payson opened up the clinic just for me to have a Sunday egg retrieval, as he felt I would be better served to go in on Sunday instead of waiting until Monday. After 2 rounds of IVF elsewhere that never yielded any blastocysts, at CCRM Northern Virginia, several embryos finally became blastocysts, most of which were deemed chromosomally normal. Our treatment at the facility and by the staff was top notch, and we felt extremely well cared for. With the skill of the CCRM Northern Virginia team, and a good deal of luck, our first transfer took, and is playing happily in his crib as I write this. We are so incredibly grateful to have found Dr. Payson and this clinic.
When we met Dr. Payson we knew nothing about infertility or IVF. During our first meeting Dr.Payson sat down with us and thoroughly went over everything. He met with us on several occasions and always answered my 50,000 questions. Throughout the entire process Dr.Payson was there for us, supporting us and providing encouragement and hope. I never felt like just a another patient. I knew that when he walked in the room to see me he knew exactly who I was and everything that was going on with my fertility journey. Dr.Payson also personally called me on several occasions. I never felt rushed or brushed off. He was truly an amazing doctor. We will forever be thankful for him because he was a very big part giving us our two miracle children. I still email him with updated pictures of our kids and always appreciate that he takes the time to respond. If you are struggling with infertility I highly recommend Dr.Payson & the staff of CCRM.
I recommend finding another care provider. As many have mentioned - they will fail to bill your insurance properly and when you try to contact them you will be directed to voicemail. No matter how many voicemails you leave, you will never hear back. By the way, the phone number they leave in response to many negative reviews is the very same phone number which directs to voicemail if you try to contact about billing issues.
I was looking forward getting Fertility treatment for my wife. After I setup the initial consultation meeting, they sent me the contract and told me to log into the portal. They spelled my name wrong on the contract(not a big deal) and I couldn’t log into the portal with the credentials they provided. I tried calling them to get this fixed but nobody would answer the phone and it would go to voicemail. I left 2 voicemails and never heard anything back. So, after few attempts I decided to cancel the whole thing. I can’t start treatment somewhere where they don’t even answer the phone call or call you back.
It’s all in the details! From non-stick bandages after blood work to animal crackers post-op. These are the little things that matter. Most of all, the staff always make me feel welcome, especially when they ALL remember my name. I would like to extend a warm thanks to Dr. Payson, Mark (phlebotomist), Kara (nurse anesthetist), Crystal (pre-op nurse), Sue (PACU nurse), and Jing (embryologist). Thank you for making me so comfortable and taking the time to answer all of our questions. My husband and I have worked with other fertility clinics in the past, but CCRM was definitely worth the wait! We highly recommend Dr. Payson and his team. Thanks again for all your care!
The big mistake of my life to went CCRM and met doctor MORAGIANNI VASILIKI. In the first meeting without any checkup she decided for us to we should do the most expensive treatment of CCRM hospital. I just met her 3 times and Im receiving too much bills. They are like VAMPIREs. Not recommend at all dont waste your money.
It is hard to find the right words to recommend Dr. Payson and his team to any couple trying to conceive. From the ladies at the front desk, to the technicians, nurses, laboratory personnel, anesthesiologists and of course the physicians, I can only express my sincere gratitude for such a rewarding experience particularly during a stressful, high anxiety time. A special shout out to Dr. Payson’s nurse Jaime who I will sorely miss now that my treatment is over. You will not find a more professional and sophisticated yet humble and inviting environment than the one at CCRM NoVA. If you want personal attention and success, this is your place!
Dr Payson is so kind and professional. I will strongly recommend him. Is very hard to find a Dr who treats you like he cares and make you feel good.everybody in the clinic is very nice and help you feel more comfortable. India was very helpful too and nice. The place is so clean and organize. Thank you Dr Payson for your help you are so kind!
Dr. Owen is excellent. We were struggling to get conceived for the past two years. Dr. Owen provided treatment to my wife and recommended me a couple of Urologists to consult. Finally, we are now on the 8th week of pregnancy.
I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Carpinello who was absolutely amazing! Her energy is contagious and her professionalism is wonderful! I am so thankful for her and the staff at CCRM for helping to make my dreams come true!
Very hard to talk to someone . After multiple calls to get my medical records , i still haven’t get them. The calls transfer you to 10 other people . Call for a report and twice was told it would be emailed to me. Never received. Called again and after being transfer to two wrong departments I ended up at billing where I had a 50$ fee I hadn’t paid which I would have been happy to if they just told me …I was confused when I got to billing so I asked to check my account . The billing lady was super nice but again couldn’t get ahold of medical records . Would not recommend .
The entire staff of CCRM, including Dr. Payson, Dr. Owen and Dr. Moragianni have been very helpful through our initial journey of pregnancy. They made the entire process super easy for us , keeping us informed at all stages. I highly recommend CCRM Nova for any fertility concerns.
I wouldn’t recommend this place if you are 40. Dr. Payson was very informative and very honest, but the billing department is horrible. They submitted information to my insurance company that I very specifically asked them not to submit. Rosa reassured me many times that she would not submit that information, but she was going to try something else. But she submitted the information anyways and not only did I get rejected for that treatment, but I got rejected for all ivf procedures indefinitely by my insurance. I asked her why it cost a 35 year old 20,000 for 6 tries, and why it the same price for 1 try, and she couldn’t give me a real answer. She listed all the things I would be charged for that added up to about $10,000, but she couldn’t tell me what the remaining $10,000 was for. The age discrimination for ivf cost is extremely unethical in my book. Shame on whoever makes this decision.
I wanted to wait to post this information and give this clinic a few more chances (since the doctors and nurses are all very nice and the doctors seem to be good at what they do). But Ive about had it with the disorganization here - especially the finance/billing office!!!! This place prides themselves on their dedicated finance team to help you through the process but its like pulling teeth to figure out what is next. I am appalled that when paying over $7k for IVF, it is THIS hard to get everyone invovled and to provide you with clear guidance - both financially and even occasionally, medically. It seems as though messages constantly get stuck in the portal or somehow get sent to the Dr who doesnt check her inbox (even though I would literally respond directly to a nurses message!).. Whenever my husband asks me a question about the status of everything and next steps, I find myself coming up with excuses for CCRM and why I havent heard from them or why I havent gotten guidance yet. I dont know what I could be doing differently to make this work better???
CCRM is a wonderful clinic with amazing doctors. Dr Payson was the one who helped me through and through. We have a beautiful four month baby girl now. At CCRM your in the right hands.
I was a patient of Dr. Moragiannis while she was practicing in Massachusetts. After many years struggling with infertility, we met Dr. Moragianni for a consult/2nd opinion. Dr. Moragianni was incredibly thorough and knowledgeable in explaining and planning our treatment. She was always honest yet hopeful for us. She would call us directly to discuss any concerns or lab results. Her sweet and encouraging nature is genuine, she laughed with us and cried with us. Within one year of our first consult with her, and with her expertise, our miracle IVF baby was conceived! Our sweet boy is now two years old! We are forever grateful to Dr. Moragianni for her help and encouragement in aiding us in fulfilling our dream of becoming parents.
Dr. Martini is amazing. She is so compassionate and helpful. I had a great experience with all the doctors. Highly recommend!
CCRM is simply amazing! Dr. Payson and his team took extra care of me, they answered every question I had and was very patient. I would highly recommend this clinic for your fertility needs.
Go somewhere else!! No matter your need, I strongly do NOT recommend this place. Getting ahold of someone is more than difficult, it is super frustrating. They will put you on hold, make you wait, and then hang up on you.. repeatedly. When (if*) you do finally get to talk with a human, they will make it clear that you are an inconvenience. They couldnt do a better job of driving away business if they tried!>> I only gave 1 star because 0 stars is not an option.
My wife and I were referred to CCRM and found the staff to be professional and expedient. The offices, bathroom, and exam rooms are very clean and posh. The billing was painless and inexpensive. I highly recommend CCRM.
Thank you to the doctors and staff for your hard work and support. You all touch so many families and we are so grateful.
For the amount of money they charge, they could care less about the patient! 1st time checkup they left me in a hot waiting room for 2 hours, then put me in a back room to change and wait a few minutes - they proceeded to leave me bleeding in there for almost another hour!!! Shame on you!!!!!!!
We had a good experience. No negatives. We enjoyed the people, facility and process. It is worth it.
Customer service is horrible here. Called 5 times and still not able to get appointment. Each time I was put on hold for 10 mins+ and they never return after the hold. I submitted the form online to schedule appointment and also never receive a call. CCRM must not care about new business.
Not recommended. Just like others who gave 1 star, because 0 star is not an option. They always direct you to voicemail. Really stressful experience for the patient-to-be
Dr Payson was great, he helped for the process all the way, he was very thoughtful and very good with us in this long journey, all the staff was also very good, I really recommend it here.
Today is Thanksgiving and we are thankful for Dr. Payson and CCRM team for giving the world to us and making our family complete!
I have a doctor ordered lab test to get scheduled and I have been calling for 2 weeks, cannot get anyone to answer the phone and have left multiple messages that have never been followed up on.
WORDS ARE NOT ENOUGH HOW I AM EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED WITH THIS PLACE.!!!! I DEFINITELY MADE A HUGE MISTAKE BELIEVING ALL THE NICE REVIEWS AND HOPED I WILL GET A SOLUTION FOR MY CASE. EVEN THOUGH DR. MORGANII WAS NICE, UNFORTUNATELY THE NURSE THAT HANDLED MY CASE ”MAUREEN” WAS EXTREMELY CARELESS AND NEGLIGENT, SHE DOESN’T EVEN CALL BACK AFTER I LEFT HER A BACK TO BACK VOICE MAIL. THE MOST IRRITATING THING IS IT TOOK THEM 2 MONTH AND 2 WEEKS TO FIGURE OUT ABOUT MY LAB RESULT. I AM TOTALLY FORGOTTEN N IGNORED IN THEIR BOOK. AND THE OTHER RECEPTIONIST, TARA, HAVE THE NERVE TO TELL ME TO DO THE LAB TEST ALL OVER AGAIN. AND WHEN I ASKED HER WHY SHE TOLD ME THE LAB WINDOW IS CLOSED TO TRACK MY RESULT. ARE YOU KIDDING ME….. ???? ALL THIS TIME I WAS HOPING AND WAITING AND PRAYING FOR NOTHING????? WOW ALL I AM GOING TO SAY IS IF THIS PLACE IS SO MESSED UP AND NEGLIGENT AND CARELESS ENOUGH AT THE START YOU CAN IMAGINE WHAT KIND OF HEARTACHE AND HEADACHE THEY WILL GIVE YOU IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PROCESS. SO, DON’T BELIEVE THE NICE REVIEWS THEY HAVE; THEY ARE TOTALLY THE OPPOSITE WHEN IT COMES TO HANDLING CUSTOMERS. HONESTLY, FOLLOWING UP YOUR PATIENT LAB TEST RESULT IS THE LEAST YOU CAN DO!!!!!. I LOST A PRECIOUS 4 MONTH WAITING AND HOPING A RESULT THAT OTHER CLAIMS YOU PROVIDED. I WILL NEVER EVER EVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!! RECOMMEND THIS PRACTICE TO ANY HUMAN. BETTER SAVE MONEY, TIME AND ABOVE ALL DIGNITY!!!!!.SMH
So, theyre a center of endocrinologists.... Who wont provide endocrinology services to transgender people who need it for transitioning. Gross.
Had testing done there and never received any results nor heard from the clinic thereafter.
Great doctors and staff! Very professional and friendly.
Had to chase them to get my results...still dont have them
Very bad service and people working there are dumbest
