Searched my insurance for a gyn as I had moved and needed a new provider. Kindbody was the first option that came up and was near my home so I scheduled an appointment two months out for an annual exam. Two days before my appointment I get a notification that it was cancelled. I had to login to their portal to read the message they sent which said that it had been scheduled in error and they do not offer that appointment type. From a quick glance at their website, they list it as a service and allowed me to schedule it so Im really confused what happened here. In the end I feel like I dodged a bullet because they are clearly unorganized.

This clinic doesnt care about women or responding to their concerns. I cannot express how disappointing this concierge medicine is. The billing, even with insurance, is astronomical. I started the embryo freezing process in March (after being billed a $400 dollar first VIRTUAL appointment). I never heard from them again. I sent email after email in their portal. Their insurance team would make phone call appointments with me to address my issues and then never attend them. The only time I ever heard from this organization is when there has been a bill (which I paid for immediately). If you ever need to reach out to them, be prepared to wait on hold. They dont care. Ive called and called with no success. Be warned; they care about your money only.

I had a wonderful experience at this clinic! The entire team was extremely helpful and kind during the process. I highly recommend this location for infertility treatments. They went above and beyond for my husband and I during our IVF journey. And this past May we welcomed our healthy baby boy thanks to DC Kindbody. We are forever grateful for all they did for us.

Update 8/16/24: Just wanted to update my review. The new staff in the office has been great. The attentiveness in the office has been greatly improved. Special kudos to Dr.Liu, Tayler, and Thalia! However, the Financial Navigator for the DC area is not very clear and it took a great deal of back and forth to get her to simply note the service received on an agreement they needed signed. Not a good look.I cannot recommend KINDBODY of DC.  It is very hard to reach anyone over the phone (waiting 2 hours with no answer) and portal responses are delayed.  Additionally, there was an incident that occurred in which I called the emergency # and did not hear back from the Dr. for over 12 hours (this is with the emergency nurse calling her MULTIPLE times throughout the night).  It has gotten to the point where I have actually had to reach out to the Doctor multiple times for help with administration, because of issues with finance and basic items - such as not being able to schedule a time sensitive appointment (because no one answers the phone).I have been erroneously billed for items paid for in full.  Most (not all) of the staff are rude and the processes here are EXTREMELY broken.  It takes a lot for me to be this upset, but the level of service at this office has been unacceptable.

I recently had an incredibly disappointing and alarming experience at Kind Body in DC. The facility is shockingly unsanitary, with doctors not wearing gloves during procedures. When I politely requested they put on gloves, they responded with insults and rude, passive-aggressive behavior.Adding to the unsanitary conditions, I discovered a severe roach infestation in the restroom. This only confirmed my concerns about the cleanliness of the entire facility. I would strongly advise anyone considering this place to STAY FAR FAR AWAY. The lack of hygiene and professionalism is absolutely unacceptable. 100% I would STAY AWAY from this place. Definitely one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with a medical appointment.

My husband and I reached out to Kind Body after unsuccessful attempts with six months of Clomid, two rounds of IUI and IVF (one egg retrieval that resulted in one aneuploid/abnormal embryo) at another clinic when trying to conceive our second child (we used that clinic successfully to conceive our first via Clomid). We met with doctors at three separate clinics and ultimately chose Kind Body because of Dr. Prakashis simultaneous warmth and knowledge, which was displayed by the rest of the staff, ranging from reception to techs to nurses. Kind Body put me on a more aggressive protocol that resulted in one euploid (healthy), one mosaic, and one aneuploid embryo each after testing. The sole euploid embryo is now six weeks old and napping in his bassinet! Kind Body always had faith without overpromising and I recommend them to anyone going through this incredibly trying and emotional process. The only hiccup we encountered was confusion surrounding the medication ordering process and the need to order from two different pharmacies, which lead to a last minute scramble before my transfer. I found this to be the experience at my previous clinic too so I suggest all patients to be very proactive in creating a checklist of which medicines/how much they have at home and going over it at the appointments.I wish anyone reading this the best of luck in your fertility journey!

Thank you, KindBody for helping us create our family! After failed attempts at other clinics we decided to pursue embryo adoption. Other clinics didn’t believe our embryo match would be successful, but KindBody believed in our match and helped us achieve our dream of having a child. Dr. Liu was knowledgeable and attentive. Everyone we worked with was kind, responsive, and helpful. They made the process as seamless as possible, even working with us to utilize outpatient monitoring. We highly recommend KindBody to anyone who is looking for fertility clinic.

Staff was incredibly rude. 2 women exited the building and dumped bottles of water over the head of my friend because they didnt like what she wrote to them. Then she threw them at her head. Flipped us off from inside and shoved my friend. Yelled at police then fled the scene.Never would recommend.

We had a great experience and loved our doctors. We did move out of the area and had to transfer facilities and after speaking with the staff, they made us feel comfortable and safe with the transfer process.

I saw the employees dump water over a protestor. No matter how you feel about their practices this is extremely unprofessional and also illegal. I also tried to call them multiple times and nobody would pick up the phone so customers don’t seem to be the biggest concern either.

Kindbody staff were very disrespectful to my friend. The staff doesnt care about women. I even saw when a staff member pour water out of a cup to a protestor during my visit. Who does that? I guess negative eugenics is one hell of a drug!

I transitioned to Kindbody after a poor experience at Shady Grove fertility over the course of a year. After 4 failed IUI’s and 2 failed embryo transfers at Shady Grove, i switched to Kindbody and got pregnant on my next embryo transfer. I felt like my Dr. really listened to me and was not rushed to take a holistic look at my file and recommend a new treatment for endometriosis that had not previously been offered to me. I also appreciate the other resources available to me through Kindbody. I took the opportunity to meet with a nutritionist, Kriszta Tiwari who was incredible in helping me find supplements and recipes that were personalized to my situation and my goals. Kriszta was extremely responsive and helpful in helping me learn how to prepare my body for my embryo transfer and eventual pregnancy. I feel I went into my transfer physically in great shape and I really feel like it made a difference in helping me get pregnant and eventually deliver a healthy baby!

Kindbody commodifies children and exploits families to degrade the value of life- through the IVF processes, thousands of young children die every year or are frozen to be forgotten for decades. This is a grievous injustice and should not be celebrated or normalized as a way to pay for your “perfect family”. People over profit. Children are not merchandise.

I’m extremely upset with my care from Kindbody and there has been very little effort in accountability or damage control from them. I’ve pasted portions of my email to them below but it is long so, to summarize, overall this was just a horrendous experience and I do not recommend them.First, I wasn’t spoken to about billing for any services, nor was I properly billed for services, for several months. Eventually, I surmise, someone noticed and I received a handful of invoices in my portal. The result of course being that I had to pay a large sum all at once for all of this back billing. The billing was another issue more recently as I approached the date of a minor procedure I was having done with them. I received a message in the portal from the finance team, detailing the cost of my upcoming procedure, I responded with a question but no one ever responded to my message. Then I called and left a message for the finance department about a week prior to my procedure. No one ever called back. I didn’t hear from anyone until two days before my procedure and it was only to collect payment, not to answer my question. Then, upon checking in for my procedure, I was asked if I had paid yet, how much I paid and what exactly I paid for. Shouldn’t they know this? The much bigger issue came with my actual procedure. First, I got two separate messages with two separate dates for my procedure. This wasn’t a huge deal and was cleared up easily but demonstrates some of the confusion and miscommunication within the clinic. Next, I was told THREE times by two different people that I needed to arrive with a full bladder, drink 32 oz of water an hour before my appointment and to not empty my bladder. Upon arriving for my appointment I was told to give a urine sample and empty my bladder. This was obviously confusing to me as I was explicitly told the opposite a number of times. But in fact it did turn out that I needed to have an EMPTY bladder. This actually turned out to be an issue during my procedure as my full bladder was making it difficult to perform the biopsy. (Yes I tried emptying my bladder - twice!) I am uncertain of the other specific factors but what was supposed to be a simple and quick 5-10 minute routine procedure got very complicated, took over an hour and was extremely uncomfortable and painful at times. Again, this was not expected and was at least partially due to my having a full bladder as that is what I was instructed to do.Further, I was informed AFTER my procedure that the results of this biopsy were not really relevant for my treatment plan. In other words, I went through weeks of hormones (which I’m still suffering effects of), thousands of dollars, traveled to another state, and endured pain and discomfort, for nothing!I’ve have had a number of other instances where it was difficult reaching my care team and getting my questions answered and other occurrences where I was given conflicting information. It wasn’t a dire issue, until it was. I emailed Kindbody my grievances once I was back home from my procedure. Someone reached out to me to apologize and said she’d look into refunding my payment for the unnecessary procedure I had done but after following up with her several times, I was told nothing would be done.I came here because I had a positive experience with Kindbody in Austin. This decision has proven to be a huge mistake, has cost me thousands of wasted dollars, a considerable amount of physical pain and discomfort and worst of all, has wasted precious time in my journey.
