I dont do very many reviews but I have had multiple very positive experiences at the AFC urgent care in West Chester. The most recent visit was for myself, I have also brought my kids and my father-in-law there. The front desk staff is great.Doctors and PAs are great.
We were able to make an online appointment and we were taken back earlier than expected. The nurse was very helpful and professional. The doctor was extremely knowledgeable and thorough. On a lighter note, I’m sure waiting time can vary depending on demand and they had complimentary water and snacks.
Visited the West Chester location on Aug 14th. I was greeted with a friendly smile and brought back immediately upon finishing required paperwork. The medical assistant was attentive and professional. Wendy was excellent and examined my wound and explained the procedure before stitching got underway. She patiently answered questions and concerns. Additionally the office and examination room were clean and orderly. A very positive experience.
Registration process was quick and easy on my cell phone. Receptionist was so friendly and professional! A rarity these days! Nurse and physician and X-ray tech were all so nice and efficient (I had a broken toe). Clean facility. Such a great experience!
The staff was very helpful and explained everything well. I ended up with a fractured foot and ankle. Things moved relatively fast for how busy it was on a Friday evening. This was my second time at this location and I had the same experience both times.
I was very pleased with my visit at Urgent Care! For my first time there as a patient, I registered in with two friendly ladies all the way to my nurse practitioner. They took their time listening to my needs. From the minute I came in, to the minute I exited! Everything was in a timely manner and an overall set of wonderful people! Everyone was so welcoming! I will definitely go back if there’s a moment my primary doctor can’t see me asap. Thank you to all! Truly appreciate you and your kindness!!
The best place to get all your urgent care needs attended to professionally! From the receptionist that was pleasant and very helpful, through the registration process that was easy, all the way up to the professional team Of nurses and doctors that attended to all my needs and took care of my medical issue with Care and full attention. I highly recommend this facility! Keep up the good work guys and if I need any other urgent care will definitely come see you again. Thank you so much!
I suspected I had Covid so I made an appointment online fully expecting that there would be a full waiting room. When I arrived the waiting room was indeed busy with what seemed like an entire fraternity of sick college kids. I was taken back within 10 mins, received my Covid test administered by a nice young man & then seen by a lovely Dr who confirmed my Covid diagnosis. The Dr asked me if I’d like a prescription for paxlovid, she informed me of the possible side effects & sent me on my way. Probably the best visit to Urgent Care I’ve ever experienced & God knows I’m there a lot lol.
The wait was very long, almost 2 hours. But the process for registering and checking in were very efficient. And the visit with the nurse and physician was excellent. I really appreciated that the prescription was phoned in for me. My only feedback is to write the prescription instructions the same as the instructions given in the office. The bottle on one of my prescriptions said to take the medicine 3x day, and not to drive for 8 hours after taking. The doctor’s instructions were to take it once at bedtime. It required an extra phone call back to the office to make sure the oral instructions overrode the written instructions on the bottle.
My doctor’s computer was down so that I was compelled to visit Urgent Care. Dr. Wendy diagnosed me with Covid and kindly spent time with me even though they were closing and called in my antiviral RX. Grateful to have this conveniently located resource.
I had a wonderful experience! The front desk staff was so helpful and kind. I did not have to wait long. The NP Wendy was very empathetic and addressed my issue. I highly recommend.
I love this place!I have a great PCP but sometimes things happen after 3pm. Yesterday, I got an appointment here and the receptionist said they were running behind because they only had 1 office person and 1 provider in.During my longer than usual wait, the receptionist remained exceptionally calm and helpful even while a patient had an insurance issue with the Ches.Co. ER sending them back to AFC and AFC said they needed to go to the ER. The receptionist called the ER and straightened it out. When my provider came for me at no time did I ever feel rushed. I got the care I needed. At the West Chester AFC everything is always done with a high level of professionalism.Thank you!
A total waste of time. Had an injury while working on my house and needed to get an X-ray. I called at 1:15 to make sure they can indeed do an X-ray there and the woman on the phone confirmed they absolutely can. Ok great. I get there by 2, check in, pay my $175, and fill out all the forms, again insuring I could get a x-ray there. The woman again confirmed I could get an x-ray. There is only 4 other people in the waiting room. Fast-forward to 4:30 when I’m FINALLY ready to be seen…..just to be told the x-ray tech left at 4:00 and an x-ray is now impossible. Sat in the waiting room for 2+ hours in excruciating pain just to leave because the incompetence of their employees.
Had a billing issue. Billing department actually sucks took a while to hear back. Jennifer the center admin was able to help (shes great, billing not so great). But 5 Stars since everything in the end was good.
This place gets you in very quickly. They do concussion protocols as well as all tests for various ailments. They can also fill prescriptions at this location and everyone is very friendly
Although the front desk and tech who took my blood pressure was nice, the Dr had zero bedside manner. Asked me zero questions and seemed annoyed I was there. It wasnt busy at all when I had gone. Something went wrong with the lab culture they took per Labcor they hadnt filled something out properly. When I called about it I was not treated with respect. Needless to say never got results. I do not recommend this branch.
My son had an infection in his leg and could not walk. I took him to Chester county hospital emergency room and they saw him and were going to give him prescriptions, one of them being antibiotics which he needed to get better. When they realized he had no insurance, they basically booted him out of the hospital! So I took him to AFC urgent Care in West Chester. They treated him with kindness and respect, and they gave him a prescription for the antibiotic that he needed. We should have went there first. Thank you AFC staff and doctor 😊
I couldn’t get in to see my doctor for 2 weeks, so I went to urgent care West Chester. The Dr was very kind, professional and thorough, performed all exams and tests that I would’ve expected my own doctor to perform. You may wait a bit to be seen even with an appointment, but I didn’t feel rushed when I was seen.
I really appreciated the fact that the staff really listened to my account of what was happening with my sinuses. The doctor was extremely knowledgeable and was able to recommend alternatives to medications. Appreciate of the care I received.
We had a really great experience at AFC for my daughter. They were kind, patient, professional and explained everything as it was happening. She was very distraught and they were really great. We both felt we were in good hands and taken care of. Thank you AFC.
Great service and Julie, Nurse Practitioner, was awesome. Julie was very thorough and actually went to the site on her day off to sign a medical form I needed for work. Excellent care and this is what good looks like. 5 stars. Thank you
I have been using AfC for years, they are always pleasant and efficient. Every doc. I had was knowledgeable and wanted to help. I recently met Dr. Steven Spencer, he has a very good bed side manner, which I needed to get the stitches out of my very sensitive fingertip. He calmed me down, we talked and before I knew it, he was finished. Thank youDonna
I was in, out and on with antibiotics for an infected wound in no time at all! The staff was friendly and I used their pre-check in process which made it super fast. Definitely going here for my urgent care needs!
I am a first-time patient. The front desk lady and the nurse are very friendly, likable, and professional. The environment is very clean, and all the instructions are clear and easy to follow. The staff are very helpful.
There were 5 people who were in the waiting room when I arrived. I waited 2 hours to be seen (after paying a $50 copay) and then was literally left in the room after I saw the PA. I thought hmmm 8 oclock is a bit late and when I poked my head out of the door, there he was with his jacket and backpack on. Each of the front desk computers were logged out, and the lights were off. I couldnt really believe it. I then waited for my scripts to be printed out, and went to leave. The door was locked. Come on man, This is crazy.
I was able to get a medical question/issue taken care of right away and go right back to work within an hour. The office was nice, the front desk staff were nice, and they had a quick, user-friendly system of getting checked in on your phone. No mountains of paperwork to fill out or a long wait. These urgent care facilities are SO helpful, and this location does an overall great job. Thank you AFC West Chester! Keep up the great work.
This is a nice location. We had an appt but it took an hour to get in. That’s fine I know they triage and stuff happens. Other urgent cares (not AFC) in the area… one time we waited 6 hours so I am not complaining about an hour wait. Everyone was really nice to my kiddo. She gets nervous in healthcare settings and they put her at ease. Very professional staff and nurse practitioner. We would not hesitate to go to this location again and we recommended it!
The front staff was charming and very helpful. The Doctor was great and explained everything in detail like a professional. Now th Philpino Nurse was professional, took her time to answer questions and she asked questions in a professional matter. She was a very beautiful, intelligent and elegant woman. She deserves a raise.....
I came in here at 1:00 on a Friday. There was only 1 patient waiting. I did not get called back until 2:00. Waited in the room for another 30 minutes. Considering walking out multiple times. Will never come back here again. 2 hours?? I guess they think people have nothing else to do with their day.Better off going somewhere else
First time as a patient. Very friendly and helpful receptionists. Easy check in and very efficient. Little wait time. My Dr. was very friendly and professional. She took the time to talk to me and listened. Very happy experience.
Horrible experience. I won’t go back. Despite pre-registering, I waited over an hour. The MA who obtained my vital signs was coughing, but had no mask on. I asked if she had COVID in case I needed a mask. She said no. She did not use the ear thermometer appropriately ( I’m a nurse, so I know this for sure). The provider came in, did not introduce herself . No idea if a physician, PA, or CRNP. Regardless…I have a lesion on my skin that was present for about a week but in less than 24 hours progressed it tripled in size and color change. The provider when she viewed it, had a look on her face like I can’t believe you are wasting in friggin time. Said it was just skin irritation from heat. Sweat, clothing rubbing. Fast forward three days later after this nurse/patient treats herself with frequent hot compresses and triple antibiotic ointment, the lesion formed a head, burst into a lovely pus fluid and scabbed over. I continue to watch it and use the ointment, but I will never go back to AFC WC.
Very happy with my experience at AFC Urgent Care. Came in with a Head Injury from work. Ethan and Sierra took great care of me, and made sure I was okay.Fantastic staff, and highly recommend.
Professional and well run Urgent Care. Have had two great experiences there a little over a year apart. Definitely would recommend to anyone.
Easy to make an appointment online. Nice that I could wait at home until my appointment time. They made it quick and easy.
I came in early right when the clinic opened. Everyone was so helpful! Found that I had walking pneumonia. Was given prescriptions for the right meds to help my body get back to its normal pace. I’d definitely go back if ever I’m ailing. Thank goodness for the patient receptionist, the doc assistant, and the doc himself. Best day was when my cough didn’t keep me up the night prior! Second best is when it went away completely..
Dr Sax was the only provider that day . He spent 5 minutes with me and didnt even fully examine me. He then referred me to a local specialist who was backed up for 2 weeks. I went to University of Penn in Philadelphia. They had me scheduled next day , properly diagnosed me and medicated me.
AFC Urgent Care West Chester is a great choice when you need care and the Staff and Doctors are always helpful and informative. The online registration is quick and easy so you can make an appointment.
Was feeling pretty miserable so appreciated being seen without having to wait long at all. Was so furious to learn that I have COVID. Was examined thoroughly ... heart/ lungs in particular. What I had to do was explained thoroughly with Paxlovid meds part in recovery. I felt that I had been seen, listened to, examined and interacted with completely to my satisfaction. Was stressed that if I needed further help that help would be available. Was given information papers explaining the visit to take home. Thank you for your caring practice of medicine.
This place is always excellent with my special needs daughter! Patient, efficient, professional, and kind. Ethan, nurse practitioner (?) especially is great. There may be a wait but it is worth it for the care
Hands down one of the best urgent cares I go to. I take all five of my children there when needed ages 2-16. Last week my 6-year-old needed stitches and the doctor and staff were AMAZING! Highly recommend.
They front desk lady and medical assistant and provider, Lindsey, were all so kind, welcoming, helpful, and clear. I will definitely come here again for future urgent care needs!
Fast service, friendly staff, and (not sure if Im spelling this correctly) Lindsey had steady hands when removing debris from the wounds on my hand. Thankful for urgent care
I got a relatively serious laceration on my arm, I went over, was checked in, called back, stitched up and sent on my way within an hour. Everyone was very friendly, knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions I had.
Michael and Wendy were terrific. The reception staff were really pleasant. My visit was very fast and efficient. All around, it was a good experience.
I feel like this is the best Urgent Care in the area. We do usually have to wait 20-30 minutes but this is lessened by registering online. The front desk staff and kind, knowledgeable about insurance and compassionate, as are the nursing assistants and physicians. Highly recommend.
I wanted to share some feedback about my recent experience with Prednisone. Unfortunately, I had an allergic reaction to the medication, and when I came in for the follow-up appointment, my condition was quite concerning. I had a rash all over my body, confusion, lips that turned blue at times, an unhealthy-looking tongue, and an unstable pulse. I couldnt think or speak clearly, and my behavior was off. When asked to show my tongue, I couldnt even do it properly on the first try and didnt fully understand what was happening to me.I informed the doctor that I hadnt slept for two days and that every time I lay down, my hands twitched. While I understand that Prednisone reactions can be complex, I was a bit surprised that my symptoms werent more closely examined. I didnt think to go to the emergency room because I have only lived in the USA for five years and have never experienced anything like this before. I was advised that Prednisone typically does not cause a rash and was suggested to see a dermatologist, but I was in severe discomfort from the withdrawal /overdose symptoms. My intention in sharing this is not to cause any trouble but to highlight the importance of recognizing and addressing possible side effects and withdrawal symptoms from Prednisone. This feedback is aimed at improving awareness and care for future patients who might experience similar reactions.Thank you for your understanding.--I respect the work of the staff, as such things can happen to anyone, and no one could have predicted that I would develop an allergy to an allergy medication. However, for my own peace of mind, I have decided not to return to this clinic and will always double-check the prescriptions given to me by a doctor. Prescribing a potent steroid at high doses to someone who doesnt typically use it and has a chronic kidney condition is not something I would like to experience again in the future.
Got me in quickly. Xray review was rapid and I got wonderful care and proper diagnosis.
My husband and I are both sick and we were in and out of AFC Urgent Care in a timely manner. Thank you!
Always professional, courteous, and helpful. From the reception desk to the physicians, all are great!
Visited for an ankle injury for my child. We saw Dr. Sax. He was great and so was the rest of the staff. They kept apologizing for the “wait”. We were in and out in an hour including X-rays. Fasted I’ve ever been seen by a walk in clinic!
Friendly, knowledgeable staff that were able to help me with my insurance issue. I was able to be seen quickly and got exactly what I needed from the provider as efficiently as possible.
Very poor nursing bed side manner and professionalism and medical knowledge from Julie Rich. I work in health care myself, but I was very disappointed with the service. I was thrown in a room for 30 minutes when I feel sick ears clogged possible ear infection. Was about to walk out and leave because it was taking too long and I found the nurse sitting in an office doing nothing while I was waiting. She came in and told me I was exaggerating my ear pain and symptoms and swabbed me for Covid. Can do that at home. Heard her speak rudely to the nursing assistant who actually gave me much better care than the actual “nurse practitioner.” Ridiculous. Nurse refused to flush out my ears. Will not be returning. I know urgent cares generally have bottom of the barrell nurses but this was horrible. If I wasn’t waiting on my new insurance I never would have gone here and will now not be returning.
I schedule an appointment and I am really happy how every staff member is welcoming and helpful. This is a very good place to go to. I will definitely recommend it for an appointment or if you’re in need of urgent care.
Friendly and helpfull staff. Nice waiting room with refreshments and masks(if you want them. Not mandatory.) Facility looks well kept.
The ladies in the office are very nice. The nurse is very sweet and Jason the doctor is very professional and he’s the only one I trust with my sutures.
The facility was easy to find and access. The desk clerks were professional and kind. In addition, they were very honest with my wait time in case I wanted to be seen elsewhere. There was plenty of seating in the waiting room. About 40-50 percent of the waiting room was full of patients. My wait time was less than the clerk anticipated, despite the amount of patients present. The nurse brought me to an exam room that appeared tidy and clean, she was quick and pleasant gathering details for my chart. She left and the doctor came in a few minutes later and listened to all I had to say about my symptoms. He discussed my options for treatment with me and was able to send my information to my primary care physician at the VA in Coatesville. Bonus was that they were able to send my prescription to the Coatesville VA pharmacy too. Overall I felt like they did a great job with the patient load that was there. In my opinion they seem to be running things as efficiently as they can. I will go there again should I need any urgent care medical attention. Thank you AFC Urgent Care!
Greeting staff very friendly. Didnt wait long to be seen. My PA was thorough and very nice and very informative. Highly recommend!
Kayla, Erika, and Gayle R. were great! They were very attentive and nice. Thanks for the Great service!
The new addition to the AFC is amazing.Went in on a Sunday morning and the place was jammin! When I left, the waiting room was full! All the P.A.s and N.P.s are ultra professional, efficient and up on the latest practices.I am always treated with respect.Only one negative, making the appointment on line with a cellphone is problematic. Even when youre in their system you still need to insert photos of drivers license and insurances cards.Otherwise a great place.
I’be been here before for urgent care and again on this visit I was very pleased with my experience. Appointments are easy to make online to avoid a long wait. The medical and front desk team were welcoming, professional, and efficient in diagnosing my problem and providing treatment. I’m very glad to have this service nearby.
I recently visited the Urgent Care on a Wednesday afteroon. While the wait was nearly an hour, the care was excellent.During my visit I got all of my questions answered, and didnt feel at all rushed during my care. Thank you!!
Thankful for your services! It can take weeks to get a Dr appt around here and I was pretty sick and needed to be seen. Your staff was efficient and courteous. I was so relieved to get help!
Caring, kind, very efficient, and clean environment! The West Chester location is phenomenal, having excellent care and attention every time:)Appreciate them for being local within my Community.
I came in a busy Friday evening. I did have to wait a good 45 mins in the waiting room, but that was to be expected with the amount of people in front of me. Everyone was very pleasant and accommodating. The PA I saw first apologized for the long wait time. The provider I saw was helpful and made me feel comfortable. I would happily go here again!
The wait time was longer than a doctor appointment, but shorter than going to the ER. The nurse and doctor were professional and did a nice job stitching me back together.
Went here on a snowy day for a quick assessment after still having symptoms for a few days despite a Telemedicine appointment. The online registration was quick and easy and I was taken back after only waiting about 15 minutes. It was the fastest service I ever received at Urgent Care. Staff was very nice and helpful! Would definitely recommend if you need these types of services in the West Chester area.
Beware of Dr. Leonard Sax- has no idea what he is doing and has terrible bedside manner. My boyfriend saw him with 2nd and 3rd degree burns on his leg which were infected- he should have turned him away and told him to go immediately to the burn center at Crozier. Instead, he dressed the burn with something that made the infection worse causing my boyfriend to go to the ER
So kind and caring. From the reception staff to the nurses to the doctor. Am alway impressed and grateful for this place
Efficient up very thorough, friendly a friend about the time move to wait and the technician and the doctor were very trustworthy to appear to be satisfied with my service
1st as I work around the corner but from the time you enter the door, the atmosphere was clean, quiet and professional. Love Dr. Jason as he was very thorough when ruling out why I was sick plus, his team was very positive and did a double check which made me feel comfortable. I would return but only if I have too :-)Thank you Dr. Jason for being an awesome servant leader that cares.Happy Holidays :-)Cheers!Sophia Reeves
This was my 1st time ever visiting an Urgent Care, I pre-registered a day prior to my visit, and everything had went with ease from the time I signed in to the time that I had got treated.
I recently needed a pre-surgery physical so I made an appointment at AFC Urgent care and I got in the same day. Very efficient service and all were very kind and efficient.
I went yesterday for a stye under my eyelid. Was there less than an hour and got a text from my pharmacy that they had received the two prescriptions I needed before even leaving AFC. Feeling better already
We have used this urgent care numerous times. Everyone in the facility from the office staff, the nurses and the doctors are professional and really take their time with us to explain everything in great detail.
The staff was friendly professional and things moved quickly. My foot is almost totally recovered after two days. Thank you
Appreciated both Michael during vitals and Amanda with her kindness with my poison ivy exposure. excellent service from both. The medication prescribed provided immediate relief after dealing with itching for 6 days.
Quick service especially utilizing the online sign in. Was treated with kindness and compassion, which is exactly what you need when you are sick.
When you’re sick , you just want to get in and out . After checking in , we were immediately taken to an exam room , given a script and sent on our way . Staff was very nice and friendly .
My primary doctor didnt have any open appointments and I needed to see someone before the weekend started. Urgent Care of West Chester was open, professional, and friendly. My wait wasnt long. They quickly assessed I had an upper raspatory infection, ordered my medicine, from the pharmacy, and sent me on my way. Fast forward five days and I feel like my old self. Thank you to all the employees who helped me through my visit.
Very friendly and helpful people. Took the time to address my concerns. They perform a much needed service to our community.
Went in because I had a terrible sore throat, nasal congestion, and ear pressure. I told the nurse that i tend to gag when throat swabs are done and i did indeed gag when she tried. She was visibily annoyed. the swab of my throat was never completed either. I guess the doctor or head nurse came in they didnt even look at my nose or listen to my heart or lungs. I thought that was standard practice. She did not want to listen when I tried to tell her what I was experiencing and wasnt experiencing
The only negative was the wait. 2 and 1/2 hours. The entire staff was friendly and professional. The doctor was knowledable and correct about my problem.
Took my elderly mom there for a cough. Staff very pleasant and attentive. Provider was Jason, a PA. He was concerned about a few things and recommended followup at ER which turned out to be the right call. Highly recommend this facility. Never felt rushed with my concerns.
Just wanted to post this review so nobody else has to go through what I did. I am transitioning (female to male) and went to this urgent care in so much pain (with a problem that more females than males tend to get) and for some reason the front desk wrote down that my pronouns were she/her even though it says he/him on my id (they had a printed picture and photocopy of) and one staff member referred to me as “it”. If you or anyone you know struggles with gender dysphoria or pronouns I do not recommend this urgent care. I will not be returning here.
Aside from a bit of a wait (depending on how many are ahead of me) the care I’ve received has been very good.
Usually a good place to obtain care, taking off three stars because of a visit I paid them due to allergies (hives specifically) recently. I had been to a different urgent care the night prior for the same issue on a lesser scale, they knew this and that my pharmacy wasn’t open until the next day. The nurse was very nice and attentive, the doctor however seemed as if she couldn’t care less. Like I was just another human complaining of itching. She even told me, “they are annoying but not life threatening so you’ll be fine.” I had already done everything I could think of to relieve some of the discomfort, after leaving AFC, a few hours later I was completely covered, shaking, head to toe in hives and ended up in the ER. Chester County hospital seemed surprised that AFC didn’t do a single thing other than take my blood pressure, the doctor didn’t even listen to my lungs or heart which I thought was standard practice. Was sad to have this experience and hope they start taking allergic reactions more seriously. That could have been much worse had I not sought out alternate care.
Although the wait was long, the front desk people were helpful and kind. The nurse, Nicole, was excellent, she gave my daughter and I peace of mind and had a very calm and reassuring demeanor. I’d recommend this place to anyone!
I was taken care of quickly. The wait wasnt long. They were friendly, professional and informative. The place was clean and didnt look like I had just stepped into any ER. They took my insurance, which was great!Id go back in a heartbeat and recommend them to friends.
Experienced a little bit of a wait, even with an appointment, but to be expected. Staff was very kind and taking care of one walk-in, who was really not feeling well at all, and kept tabs on her while she was in the waiting room. Physician I saw was pleasant and I did not feel rushed. I feel like I was treated for my ailment as best as possible at the time. Overall experience was positive.
Very kind, helped with everything i needed and did it quickly!
Excellent health services. 30 min. Wait time. Everyone was smiling. Id go back in a minute!
Great experience! Especially when you’re scared and not feeling well:( the staff was kind and friendly. Not a long wait time!!!Dr. Sax was also kind, and really listened & explained the next steps to get me feeling better.Thank you!!
Very clean facility, very professional staff, and very efficient service. I am most grateful! This is my third visit and I was so pleased with the attention and care. I can’t stress enough how confident I am with this facility! Another visit 11/29/23 and I am grateful for the thoroughness and kindness of the staff. Most appreciated!! Need to add this: on 11/29, I was alerted to the possible diagnosis of appendicitis. I was encouraged to visit the ER and was quickly diagnosed with appendicitis and underwent surgery 2 hours later. My thanks to Dr. Spencer for his incredible expertise!!!
Staff were very professional and friendly and did everything possible to make sure that everyone who walked in there walked out satisfied. For the period that I was there it was obvious everyone I met was very satisfied and so was I. Keep up the positive energy. ❤️❤️
Quick! Clean! I was in & out, staff was super friendly! Gave me exactly what I needed and asked for my prescriptions! I was in there a total of 15-20 minutes.Do note when you arrive you check in on your phone and take a picture of photo ID & insurance card and answer some questions about your pharmacy, so please be tech savvy!
PA Thomas, the x-ray tech, the nurse or tech, and front staff all provided professional and efficient care, with compassion and friendliness, and I left in much better shape than when entered, with whats needed to carry on. The care instructions were superb too, including directing to the appropriate specialist that most of us wouldnt consider. So grateful. The only criticism is clockwise scheduling didnt send a confirmation so I called to confirm. If clockwise would send an email or text it would be helpful.Ive also recently heard a story where they acted quickly and saved someones digit there.Thank you so very much for the excellent care and followup instructions. Glad youre there when we need you.
I cannot possibly recommend this place more. My partner went in for an ear ache and the two women at the reception area were so wonderfully helpful and kind I even went and got myself checked out. I haven’t been to a doctor in years, but they might have changed my mind about all that. Honestly the most helpful, knowledgeable, kind, and understand staff I’ve ever met in an urgent care, I will be coming to this urgent care for any applicable health needs now because of their incredible staff.
Had to bring my 4 year old in for a head cut that needed to be glued. The front desk staff were really nice and offered my son a lollipop afterwards as they could see he was upset. The PA and gentleman who checked us in were also very nice and understanding of how upset and nervous our son was. Didn’t have to wait long either. I do wish you didn’t have to do the check-in online/on your phone when you have a walk-in appointment; it’s not easy on the phone and could be done easier by front desk staff.
My biggest complaint about this place is allowing patients to make an appointment when they can’t honor the time. I made an appointment for 1 PM and proceeded to sit in the waiting room for an hour before being brought back into a room to wait another 40 minutes for the doctor to see me a total of three minutes.I’ve worked in an urgent care facility and understand wait times can be long and the place can be understaffed, but don’t allow appointments to be made online if you make the person wait an hour regardless. It doesn’t make sense. I won’t be returning here.
I had a beetle fly into my ear, great job to Jason, Julie, and all the other staff that helped get it out! Saved my day
Awesome place! Everybody is so nice and very professional. I can’t say enough good things about them!!!
Excellent care. Very Clean well equipped facility...Another recent visit with excellent care. Friendly accommodating and quick. Thank you to recent staff and care providers
AFC doesn’t even deserve one star. I had heard terrible things about this place and I should have listened. I only came here because we were tired and the West Chester location is the closest urgent care facility to my house. My son (high school-aged) has been feeling sick for almost two weeks with a cough and upper respiratory congestion. He plays football so with his school schedule and practices he has been hesitant to spend any of his precious evening time waiting at a medical office. I finally decided he needed to go get checked and then (unfortunately) decided to go to AFC (because we were tired—he was feeling very sick, and it was close). I checked their website. Yep—they take walk-ins and are open until 8 pm. Sounded perfect and it was 6:30 pm when we left our house. Well, when we walked in their doors at 6:45 pm we were told that they would not be able to see us since they were not seeing any more patients. Even though they are a walk-in clinic and their website says they don’t close until 8pm! They were too busy. This is ridiculous! And I am livid. That was time wasted where i could have been driving to a different urgent care location (which is what i ended up doing).I highly recommend anyone do this—avoid AFC and go elsewhere!!! I ended up at Mainline Health’s urgent care in Concordville. We were able to walk in (as advertised) and their hours were as advertised. The facility was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful—a far cry from what we experienced at AFC. I will never return there again. All of the horror stories I have heard about that place must be true. Stay away!
Extremely friendly people who seem to understand what customer service is. A truly extraordinary experience in todays world. They were very knowledgeable, kind and caring. They were recomended to me by my daughter who was a West Chester student a few years back. I will be recommending them as well.
This place is the best Urgent Care facility I’ve ever been to. They are clean, thorough and polite. I had to wait a little longer than expected, but they were very apologetic. The Dr. listened to my concerns instead of rushing me in and out. I HIGHLY recommend this place!!
This was my first time ever visiting an urgent care. I didn’t know what to expect and it’s exceeded my expectations !The receptionists were so kind and the med tech was so kind too. Julie Rich CRNP took her time with me and was so informative and worried about me. I am very happy I decided to go rather than wait it out to go to my healthcare provider tomorrow since no Sat hours today! This place was the best. I hope I don’t need to ever visit again… but if I do I’m coming here! Thank you so much for the good care! I hope as today goes on I start feeling better!
I was / am an annoying patient. I needed to get a physical for a school requirement and the kind people here walked me through every process. I cant speak highly enough for their personalism and professionalism. Extremely recommended.
Once we got taken back to the room, visit and diagnosis was quick. Staff was pleasant. But it was a long wait in the waiting room beforehand - even after checking in online first. Seemed maybe a little short staffed.
All the staff at AFC were so caring and professional. I am from out of town, visiting friends, got sick, and home test showed I was positive for Covid. They reassured me, gave me all my options, and what to do if my symptoms got worse. I really appreciated their careful work up and friendly, comfortingdemeanor.
I brought my son in last night for hives, not realizing they were closing soon after…. Everyone was so nice and it was not a problem for him to be seen . I did not feel rushed out and the doctor was amazing with a 12 year old ! I recommend everyone going here!
We have used AFC West Chester several times for urgent care needs. Every visit, whether a short or long wait (we’ve experienced both), we have always been welcomed warmly and respectfully, given excellent and efficient care and are impressed with the clean and professional environment (even on packed days), as well as the easy and nearly seamless registration & check-in process. I highly recommend AFC WC for your family’s urgent care needs!
Didnt have to wait long. staff and docs were friendly and understanding !
I went here and had STI testing done an felt very racially profiled the girl had came in and just stared at me like she saw a ghost just to hand me my payment receipt , they called and said i had Herpes but didn’t prescribe me any medication or tell me my levels if i “did have it”, went to different AFC urgent care the same week and got retested and everything came back negative, i will never go back here
Great customer care, also they take very good care of me. Awesome care all around, and thank them for taking such good care of me needs.
We were seen at AFC on a holiday when my son’s ped office was closed. The front desk staff were professional and efficient. The nurse was kind and put my son at ease. The PA, Tom, took his time to explain to us what my son needed in terms of medicine and care. He then went on to speak with me about my older son and offered some advice on how to better manage his asthma symptoms. I felt less rushed and more accommodated in this facility than I typically do at their regular doctor’s office. We were out in under an hour and I suspect if was only that long due to the holiday. This is a great facility.
Seen today after my PCP was unable to help me. The staff was extremely nice, facility was clean and neat. The best part and reason I will go back was I had no wait since I booked an appointment. In and out in 20 minutes, excellent service!! Got the medicine I need and will hopefully be feeling better tomorrow.
The staff at the front desk were friendly and clear about wait times…. To be expected this time of year over a holiday. Nurse and Physician were both very nice and very knowledgeable, to help give me the appropriate meds.
A great place for all of your health care needs. I highly recommend and appreciate AFC and their experienced and qualified staff. DR Jason was great.Im feeling so much better now.Thank you Dr Jason.
Excellent care. Our one and a half year old son needed a few stitches and they handled it so professionally. We were treated so kindly in a high stress situation. I can’t imagine giving a one year old stitches, but they made him feel so comfortable and it was ultimately a positive experience. He has virtually no scarring now a few months later. Thankful to have found this facility.
Efficient and compassionate. Injury was right wrist and the staff helped me with papers and it was a great experience. Also not a long wait time.
I’ve literally never done this before, but feel compelled to as Julie and the rest of their team helped me not only with my injury, but understand my insurance, benefits and services that would be covered/ total amount owed prior to even admitting me.Not only that, but they helped me get into a specialist I was trying to schedule with earlier that day, the same day as my appointment with AFC. Had it not been for them, I would have had to either wait 2 months to see that specialist, or dig myself for hours to find another one who could take me sooner. Can not thank your team enough.
Wasn’t thrilled. I had bruising swelling and a cut on my leg from that was a week old and getting worse everyday. The guy taking my vitals was with me longer than the doctor (if that’s what she was) she didn’t even touch my leg barely looked at it and didn’t want to see the bruising and swelling on my ankle and foot. I asked if she wanted me to take my shoe off I think she said yes just to placate me. I don’t expect to be treated special I know you’re not my regular doctor but a little compassion and time spent with me (more than 3 minutes) would have been nice.
This is the best urgent care I have ever experienced. Great doctors, great nurses, great front desk. I have only good things to say. We had every single family member here throughout the day (long story) and they all had a great experience.
The wait was kind of long, but the service was good. They listened to what was wrong, came up with a treatment plan, called in my meds - my doctor wanted to wait a couple days to see me and only on a telehealth appointment. You cant listen to someones chest over the phone.
Everyone was very friendly and caring. Service was quick and smooth. Dr was confident and made sure I had time to ask all my questions. This was my first visit to an urgent care facility and I would go back to this one again.
Everyone was very courteous and polite and they really cared about my concerns and explained what I needed to do next to care my medical services. Ive never had a bad experience when I come there.
Everyone was wonderful. My first ever urgent care visit. Thank you
They helped me with my spider bite on my head. lol very sweet and efficient!
I received excellent care at the AFC on a Sunday afternoon. I was treated with kindness and respect. Shank, the assistant was so nice and patient. He administered my tetanus shot without me feeling it as he distracted me!! Jess, the PA was very skilled and knowledgeable and gentle with my needed stitches. She was sympathetic to the pain of the needed Lidocaine injections. Definitely happy that I live near this AFC URGENT CARE IN WEST CHESTER ,PA. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
I felt appreciated as a patient and hopefully my diagnosis help me to recover
I was seen promptly and professionally. I had a fall and my face needed sewn up, and was very nervous about a scar. It is healing nicely. Also, the AFC Urgent Care followed up with a phone call the next day to make sure I was ok.
Urgent care was quick and friendly ! Very efficient and professional. I would definitely recommend going there.
I went here with a suspected broken toe on Saturday 23rd. Office staff, PA Wendy, X-ray tech, and CMA Allison were all professional. However, I was told that I did not have a fracture after simply taking a short peek at my X-ray. Symptoms worsened and I went to Patient First in Downingtown where they actually looked at my x-ray with attention to detail (as it should be done) and they determined that it was broken and gave me genuine medical advice that was helpful. Staff at AFC did not even suggest that I buddy tape in the event that it was broken. Extremely disappointed that it took two urgent care visits to diagnose a broken big toe, especially since AFC staff knew that I was in an extreme amount of pain but did not take a close enough look at the scan, making me believe that they are messy and dont care enough to do their job of looking at images and provide decent patient care. Not returning.
Didn’t register prior to going in there ( emergency, first time - didn’t think to) but I recommend you do that to try and cut down on the wait time. That was really the only downside. Doctor and staff were friendly and helpful. Proper diagnoses and clear communication. Helpful articles provided as well
Saw the PA very quickly. Friendly and knowledgeable nursing staff. PA took the time to explain everything and offer solutions. Front desk staff were qel owing and efficient. Would definitely recommend.
It was a very nice visit. I went in with my daughter we waited, probably less than a half hour we were in and out and the girls at the front desk were very helpful and very polite. Thank you.
This location is so professional, so clean, extremely organized and run effective and efficiently. The physicians, nurses and staff are compassionate, knowledgeable and make you feel very safe in their care as they work to solve your medical needs! I am so grateful for this office and have no problem walking in the door waiting to be seen.
Pre registered night before for an 830 am appt next day. Only waited about 2 or 3 minutes before being examined. Staff at front desk were very professional as well as the doctors assistant that knew exactly what was troubling me. Had a really nice talk with doc about my symptoms and care. Cant say enough about my experience. Highly recommended.
The staff were quick and polite. However , I had to wait past my appointment time & was seen 15 mins before closing time. Dr sent an rx to my pharmacy, told me I should see improvement in 2 days. Then I was dismissed, given no paperwork or instructions, which I didnt realize until I left. I think the follow through instructions are just as important as the directions for the medicine. I apparently had an allergic reaction to the antibiotic, but didnt realize that is what was happening. So it got 2 xs worse... Photos - 1st when I walked in. Next 2 days later.
As you’d expect with any urgent care, there was a bit of a wait to be seen. But the staff, nurse, and doctor were pleasant and professional. My primary couldn’t see me today so his nurse recommended I go to Urgent Care. Glad I did.
Signed up online. I was called back within 20 minutes of my arrival. Fast effective testing and out in about 30 minutes total.
This Urgent Care facility is always fast, comforting and clean. Staff are exceptionally diligent and move with urgency, but slow down for patients that need a little extra help. Easily my favorite medical facility in the West Chester area.
If you or anyone you know is transgender or apart of the lgbt+ community i would not recommend this urgent care. I brought my boyfriend (ftm) to this urgent care was misgendered multiple times, even when his drivers lisense says M. They also referred to him as an “it”. This is not a welcoming or safe environment.
Went in needing stitches for a cut on my finger on a Saturday morning. Overall wait was less than 15 minutes and I saw the PA quickly. Wendy was awesome and I was in and out in less than an hour.
Friendly staff. Quick and easy check In process. Doctor Tom was super nice, spent time talking with me about my back and gave me some great resources for further assistance in my healing process. Clean place! Will definitely use this location again.
The waiting room was crowded and there was obviously a long wait to see the doctor (2 hrs). Every time a new patient arrived the staff would tell them to have a seat and a doctor would see them shortly (instead of telling them the truth, that it would be at least a 2 hour wait. Only after some of the patients started to complain about the wait, did the staff start telling new arrivals of the long wait time.
Dr Spencer was absolutely terrific. Went there after a fall to find out I had 2 broken ribs. Dr. Spencer was absolutely thorough and terrific. Would recommend them anytime.
I paid $90 dollars and the Dr. told my pharmacist to not fill the prescription she sent over. Waste of my time and money.
Overall good experience! The intake system was simple enough and worked well. Staff were professional. The medical staff: the nurse and PA were excellent. They answered questions clearly and took their time explaining. Special thanks to Dr. Jessica Pidgeon for her clear explanations!
Dr. Wendy and staff were absolutely fantastic! I was in and out and they were so friendly and patient. Thank you for making me feel better before Christmas!
Got me in quick, but may have been the worst treatment I’ve ever received. Staff didn’t seem invested or caring, and they didn’t report half of what I was treated for to my doctor, which I asked them to do.
Great staff, clean waiting area. I got in fairly quickly. But people, for the love of God, if you think you have Covid, just wear a damn mask when you walk in.
Scheduled appointment for 11:30. Showed up on time. After sitting there for half hour, heard receptionists telling everyone else there was a 2 hour wait time, which I thought meant walk-ins. NO. So I went up, told receptionist I was leaving and asked for my copay of $50 back. She said it hadnt been processed. Today I find out YES, it was deducted from our bank account. Now I have to try to get money back for services not rendered. HATE this place, will never go back.
What a great experience. The kindness and professionalism was above and beyond. I was treated by Tom, he eased my fears and took great care of me. He took the time to answer my questions and didn’t rush even though they were busy. The front staff were equally as wonderful!
I have been to this urgent care three times and had all positive experiences! Twice for kidney stones and this last time for a bad reaction to poison ivy. I was having shortness of breath so the DR gave me medication but also did a chest X-ray and ekg to rule out any other issues. I was in and out within an hour every time I have been there and it is so so so much easier than sitting in an er for 8 hrs straight. Highly recommend!
Went to Urgent care because I had caught the common cold. As I had been seated and waiting for someone to come out to me. It had passed an hour or so while the place was empty. Elder lady at the desk has an attitude problem and is very difficult to deal with. The other ladies there are all air heads and don’t understand what you’re trying to tell them. (AREN’T THEY THE PROFESSIONALS?!). Anyways waited there for an hour or so just for them to tell me they cannot help me because I didn’t have my insurance card. I am a college student in a limited schedule. I could have paid but I would never step foot in that place of business ever again. I’d rather have someone on the street of West Chester check up on me than so called professional at their job. Just do better Urgent Care that you guys are really disappointing.
AFC West Chester was superb! Super friendly staff, very accommodating. The doctors on staff are thorough and caring and don’t rush through your visit. We had a short wait time and were in and out in under an hour! Sure beats the ER any day! Thank you AFC West Chester!
Went to UC for an extremely irritating sore throat, and swollen eye. The sore throat was my main complaint. I received antibiotic eye drops but the rapid test for the throat came back negative. I tried to explain my throat was extremely annoying and this was my reason for being there and riding it out wasn’t a great option. So my copay was paid, my insurance was billed, and a week later I still have a sore throat. I felt I wasn’t being considered and obviously I am right. Extremely disappointed as I still struggle with the throat. Thanks for absolutely nothing.
I got there for my appointment was taking back and looked over got medicine and was sent on my way it was a great experience
Good experience but it would be nice to have more Drs or PAS on call. Long wait
I recently visited the AFC urgent care in West Chester, PA and will NEVER return there. The lack of care and comments I received from the physician were unprofessional, to say the least. He used profanities while speaking to me (more than once) and I cannot help but think he felt this was acceptable since I was in the room alone. I never have been spoken to in such a manner and was completely and utterly shocked. It is quite unfortunate that I have to leave this google review and I cannot contact AFC corporate themselves. Not to mention, the physician never even introduced himself to me so I dont even have his name.Additionally, I made an appointment to be seen there only to wait an hour and while I understand the healthcare industry is under tremendous pressure right now, they should not allow appointments if you are not going to be seen within a certain amount of time. I really am floored by my experience there and I would not advise anyone, especially a young woman, to go here alone. If anyone knows how I can file a more formal complaint, I would greatly appreciate any insight. Thank you!
Great prices for the uninsured. I was evaluated and treated quickly and I felt my health and well being was cared for by the staff. But what impressed me most and is the reason why I am taking the time to write this review is because while I was in the waiting room I watched a mother bring her 2 year old daughter in who had a bad fall while playing or something and cut and scrapped her face pretty bad and was bleeding slightly. She didnt look like she was in any danger just got hurt like kids do but you could tell the little girl was very scared and in pain. Instead of making the poor kid wait they brought the little girl to the back immediately ahead of everyone else and cleaned her up and put kids band-aids on her and then brought them back to the waiting room to fill out the required paper work. That little girl looked calmed after that.As a father of three accident prone little ones who I love so much, I was so impressed with the empathy and compassion they showed that little girl and her mother. I recall being in the emergency room myself decades ago as a hurt little kid from a bad bike crash and I remember just sitting there scared and in pain for what felt like forever bleeding all over the place from open wounds and scraps while my mother frantically filled out paper work.Every health-care entity advertises about compassionate care but few actually give it, atleast from the heart. As much as they probably train their people to show compassion it usually ends up being take a number and wait for the person behind the counter to call next. Healthcare workers like the rest of us working class people, are over worked and underpaid. They have to dig deep in themselves to find that empathy for their patients despite their own life circumstances. It takes real effort and a good heart to unselfishly go beyond what is required especially because it usually comes with a cost yourself and there is little to no reward except the joy of helping another person in their time on need. These qualities are not something you can train or fake, they are things each individual has to cultivate with in themselves. I witnessed the staff at the West Chester Pa AFC do that yesterday. Its those little things that make a difference. Keep up the good work.
My doctor had no appointments so I came here. This was a very friendly place. I was seen within 20 minutes. I saw the Nurse Practitioner, who was an experienced ER care giver. Got script sent to CVs and advice for over the counter meds. Would go to again.
Seen as scheduled via online appointment. Staff was very efficient and personable. Dr Spencer was excellent!! I am a retired PhD nurse educator and know guality care when it’s provided.
Brought my young daughter who is still raving about the care. The front desk staff were wonderful. The medical assistants were so kind and Jess P. the PA was thorough and experienced. Great pediatric care! Thank you!
The prescription nasal spray I was prescribed here didn’t do anything. Misdiagnosed or incorrect treatment. The employees were all kind and nice so giving them some stars, but felt no relief since my visit with them Friday. I also made a 10:30AM appointment online and still had to wait almost an hour to be seen. I understand things happen and appointments run late but why accept appointments online if none of the time slots are honored
I knew I had strep. My rapid was negative but my boyfriend tested positive and we had the same symptoms. They still wouldn’t give me medicine. I then asked them to send out a culture and they said it would take 1-2 days. Got my POSITIVE culture back in 5 days.
Terrible! My husband paid $150 for a Covid test to fly to China at 5am next morning (was on a Sunday). The test came back negative, we stayed the 30 min to get results. Went home and uploaded the results to American Airlines and came back - REJECTED ( test had to be done within 48 hours). The person who printed the results clicked the PRIOR Sunday, thus > 48 hours. The clinic closed at 5, we got message from airlines at 5:10. We contacted after hours answering service, they took our number to have them call back - NOTHING! We ended up going to a different urgent care and spent hours. Completely unacceptable
If you are looking for prompt and professional medical attention, AFC Urgent Care is the place to go. The staff seemed very knowledgeable and skilled. The facility itself was clean, modern, and looked well-equipped with the latest medical technology.I recently visited their West Chester facility and was extremely impressed with the level of service I received from Tom Giovinazzo, PA-C. I was greeted by Tom as he walked into the exam room, a friendly and caring staff member who made me feel welcome and at ease. Many years ago I had a doctor, who has since moved from PA, that once said ...you should know more about your health than I do. I took that message to heart and I always do a fair amount of research when Im sick, before seeing the doctor. That said, when I told Tom my diagnosis, he went over my symptoms, examined me and said ...you are correct and prescribed the necessary medication. I make particular mention of this because most doctors or PAs tend to be disturbed by my knowledge and usually ask me how many (insert any expletive) years I went to medical school, in a very condescending tone (although Ive never been wrong). I dont think every patient should or needs to do this, I just feel that when a medical professional is provided this information, maybe a nod and verification is in order, before making an unwelcome and condescending comment. Kudos to Tom! ...for not being offended by my need to be an informed patient.Unfortunately, the one negative that really stood out to me about AFC Urgent Care was their lack of commitment to the scheduling in advance of appointments. I scheduled an appointment online around 7:15 AM that day for a 5:00 PM appointment. I arrived at 4:45 PM, checked in at the front desk, noticed there were 3 patients waiting and three back in the exam rooms. They said there was no paperwork to complete, due to everything being prepared online in advance of the appointment and because I had been a previous patient. I waited until 5:30 PM to be seen, while they were seeing walkin patients in the order that they had arrived before me. If AFC Urgent Care is not going to adhere to the appointment schedule, it should not have been an option to schedule one.Overall, I would highly recommend AFC Urgent Care to anyone in need of prompt and professional medical attention. The staff is top-notch, the facility is state-of-the-art, and the level of care and attention that they provide is truly exceptional. Whether you need urgent care services or simply want to schedule a routine check-up, AFC Urgent Care is the place to go.
We were from out of state and my 17 year old needed care for a UTI. It was easy to make an appointment online, paid a small copay and took our insurance. We were quick to be seen and after a urine test was done it was determined she indeed have a UTI and also treated her for a yeast infection even though her results would take a few days to come back. It was a one pill and fine treatment. We used Cvs to fill the scripts and got them promptly and it ended up costing me 30 dollars total out of pocket to treat my daughter and make her feel better for the long weekend. All the staff there was exceptional.
I went in today from out of town for back pain. Made an appointment online and uploaded my info and set an appointment time for one hour later when I had a ride there. When I got there I just had to give my name and two minutes later the MA came and got me. Asked me brief and pertinent questions to my problem while being sympathetic, professional, and friendly. About 3 minutes later Dr. Sax came in and heard my concerns, quickly examined my back and posture and provided a treatment along with a medication to help my pain. This was the best medical experience I have ever had. Super efficient, quick, no wait, staff were friendly, building was clean, and check out was a breeze where I got a note for work, written script to take to any pharmacy, and a summary of my visit and treatment instructions. I wish going to my primary was this easy! I honestly have severe medical trauma and have never had such a pleasant experience before that I had to write a review. Thank you!
Dr. Sax was great. The medication he put me on worked fast and he called me to tell me of my lab results. My only issue is with the woman who answered my call back. Dr. Sax left me a voicemail where he told me the time and day at which he left this voicemail and told me to call back. I called back ten minutes after the voicemail was left and the woman who answered the phone call was so extremely rude to me I was absolutely shocked. I really wish I got her name because her reaction was absolutely disproportionate to the content of my phone call. I was struggling to breathe and she got very loud with me and told me that I was lying about when I got the voicemail because the doctor wasnt in that day. I even double checked the timestamps in the transcription of the message (I use iPhone) so its all displayed very clearly and I was not mistaken.
Dont go in after a pre-registration expecting to be seen at that time. According to their own personnel, Pre-registration is not an appointment. I waited 2 hours after my pre-registered time slot to be seen and still got charged $150. If you can go to any other urgent care, do that.
Holiday weekend. Short hours on Friday. No appointments at my primary care office or at the pharmacy clinic. I went online and booked an appointment. After uploading insurance information I secured a spot an hour later.Clean facility and competent front office staff. I was seen by a very competent Physicians Assistant and my issue was addressed.I am so fortunate to have discovered this service close to home.
Always a quick and efficient visit when an unplanned illness pops up!
Was told I had an ear infection (but was also told there was no fluid to cause the ear infection) and that there was a bump in my ear. Was given antibiotics. Nothing changed so I went to my primary doctor and was told that I had no sign of an ear infection and diagnosed me with a different thing. Waste of $150 (even thought I had insurance) and got misdiagnosed
Got what I expected. Good medical advice and a couple of prescriptions. Nice, experienced doctor.
I felt very comfortable The help was great Thumbs up to all
The prices are so fair and the staff so welcoming. Thank you jennifer for your generosity we are so grateful! The doctor that helped us was so awesome and experienced. He removed my nieces stitches really quick without pain and professionally. We thought they wouldnt be able to help my niece out with her stitches because she had to go to a plastic surgeon which was really expensive in philadelphia but here they did an awesome job for such a good price without complications nor pain. Thank you so much!!! I really recommend this place dont have to over pay for medical procedures.
My girlfriend and I went here for an appointment to look at an allergic reaction. Once we were checked in, we were immediately told we had to pay before receiving any services from the medical staff. Once the medical staff were able to see us, the only thing we were told was “it’s an allergic reaction, go to a specialist”. They didn’t offer any helpful insight regarding over the counter medications or anything like that. They basically rushed us out. When we left we felt dissatisfied with how quickly we were rushed out and called to see if we could get our money back. The receptionist who answered the phone immediately got an attitude with us and became extremely rude for no apparent reason. She ultimately hung up on us before yelling, “do you want to take a call on line one with an attitude?”, to another staff member. They later refused to answer our calls when we tried calling back. They are extremely rude and in professional, I highly recommend going to a different urgent care.
Efficient, helpful staff at front desk. Warm MA who made me comfortable while taking vitals. Tom, the PA, is a very knowledgeable, experienced and warm provider that I have seen multiple times and fully trust. Great place!
I strongly recommend against visiting this urgent care for any reason. Visited after a rash that had sustained for one week and had shown up after yard work. The rash was present under my armpit as well which the MD explained away saying I mustve gotten poison on my hands and that transferred to the armpit, regardless of the fact this transfer rash shouldve been multiple other places then. After one week of steroids I returned to visit a second MD who very condescendingly brought in his colleague to show him how he misdiagnosed me. This new MD after keeping me in the dark then stated flatly I had scabies with no other testing to confirm his diagnosis. He prescribed me an anti-parasitic cream and told me to repeat in 1 week if not better. No referral for a dermatologist, no checking to confirm the presence of mites, no reason on why I would have it and not my wife. After using this cream I found my skin inflamed even worse than before and finally visited an actual dermatologist who confirmed that scabies was not the correct diagnosis either. The frustration and skin damage Ive received because of two mis-diagnosises cannot be overstated. Pictured is how my skin appeared after placing the anti-parasitic cream that worsened my condition considerably.
I was very appreciative of all the people I met at AFC Urgent Care yesterday. They treated me with the utmost respect when I needed it the most. Thank you to all for making a stressful situation so much easier to deal with.
AFC West Chester is my go to for immediate medical attention for myself and my family. The staff is excellent and the service is better than waiting in a local ER.They have handled everything from physicals to sinus infections to allergic reactions.I had an advanced issue that my primary physician and specialists and a trip to the ER and MRI couldn’t resolve and Dr.Tom figured it out in 10 minutes and cleared up 3 months of discomfort and agony so they are equipped and skilled enough to handle complex issues.
Seen same-day without any problem. Highly recommend!
AFC Urgent Care West Chester provided excellent care of me. Immediately (while signing in in the registration room) the nurse realized that I was in breathing distress. She and the Doctor on duty provided prompt care, including calling for an ambulance to take me to the hospital. Without their quick and good care I most likely would not be alive today.
I had a wonderful experience this week at AFC. From the person who answered the phone to the receptionists to the medical assistant to the doctor. Everything was handled with professionalism. Everyone was friendly and respectful.
The visit was awesome!! The waiting room was packed. Yet we were still in and out within an hour. Thank you so much!!! My daughter has been having a problem with her ear for years. You guys got it all cleaned out and now she can hear!!! You guys are awesome!!!
I had a good experience with AFC Urgent care. I didnt have to wait too long, and all of my concerns were addressed. The doctor took his time with me and made sure I was comfortable. He explained his thought process and put my mind at ease. He was very thorough. Rachel my nurse was very sweet and caring. Overall it was a great experience and I left without any worry at all. Thanks guys.
I cannot say enough good things about AFC West Chester! The staff is awesome: the sweet ladies at the desk who gave my 7 year old daughter stickers and chatted with her to ease her nerves, the nurse who did her throat culture and called her kiddo and let her pick a lollipop for being brave, and the doctor who did her exam and took his time with us…just the absolute best experience. Thank you for the level of care and kindness your whole team provided us with!
$150 for what essentially felt like a waste of time. I waited upwards of 30 minutes (in an empty waiting room) only to be seen for all of maybe 5 minutes and have the doctor not even extensively try to figure out what my actual issue was that I went there for, but just to say “here’s a prescription for some antibiotics that SHOULD help” and “go to a throat specialist if it doesn’t help.” I’ve been dealing with a nagging feeling of something stuck in the back of my throat all week and while it isn’t a total emergency it has been very uncomfortable for me. I wasn’t able to get an appointment with my normal primary doctor until Saturday morning so I visited this urgent care hoping I may be able to get something done about it before then— well now it is 1 am Saturday morning and after a full day and a half of taking the antibiotics that I was told would clear up my potential throat infection within 48 hours…I have yet to feel like the issue has gone away. I felt very rushed through my visit here by the doctor and even from the staff from the moment I walked in. I didn’t feel like I even had a chance to truly thoroughly explain my concern and, as a medical receptionist myself who goes above and beyond to make the patients at my own medical facility feel welcomed, I perceived that the staff at this urgent care were very halfhearted about their jobs (at least on the day I went there). Feels like I wasted my money and time. Please for the future consider actually thoroughly listening to your patients and making them feel safe and cared for, instead of them leaving feeling like they wasted their money and didn’t receive the care they paid for.
My wife and I visited the AFC Urgent Care as walk-ins on a Sunday at 8am and were seen immediately. Our service was exceptional and I would like to personally thank the staff of this facility for their professionalism. In particular, our nurse Rachel was phenomenal. What was most impressive was her bed side manner, which quickly put my wife at ease. Also our physician was very thorough and reassuring. Again thank you so much for your service and we will be back should the need arise.
Came in for physical and TB test. Staff was very patient and friendly. Atmosphere was nice and peaceful while I waited to be seen. Wasnt a long wait time for being a walk-in!
I wanted to share my experience with AFC at the Westchester PA location. Julie who was my Doctor, did an excellent job in evaluating me checking 4 things it might be wrong Was concerned enough to Suggest that I go to the hospital and emergency room immediately she offered to call an ambulance for. My experience at your facility could not have been more positive. She now falls into the categories one of my favorite doctors that I will refer people back to and gladly come back again should I need to. As it turned out her suggestion to go to the hospital was a good one because while they didnt really find anything seriously wrong, They ruled out something some things that I might have had wrong with me.Its nice to know that your facility was there for me when I needed you and again I would gladly refer her or your facility to anyone I know! Thank you, Michael
Since Covid, I have been having difficulty getting into see my pcp. Afc urgent care has been a significant part of my care team because of this.
We waited almost TWO HOURS to be seen! Totally unacceptable!
Busy day at AFC Urgent Care. In and out in a little over an hour. I would have been 6 hours at the ER.
Awesome Customer Service today! I needed to get a Health Assessment completed for work ASAP, and popped in with no appointment. The front desk staff was super nice, and the wait was maybe 3 minutes. I wish I could remember the name of the nurse that called me back and did my preliminary vitals because she was so friendly, funny and professional all at the same time. The PA that completed my assessment was quick and efficient yet thorough, and thanked me for my business. The whole team made it a seamless quick experience!
Horrible experience, extremely rude front desk person who we watched ignore one patient after the next. The worst part was when a patient who was in extreme pain and begging to sit in her car, was first told no and after begging a second time the front desk lady said fine, I’ll call you when it’s your turn. She had no intention on calling this woman until we confronted her to remind her about the woman, she said her system is down so she can’t call her…we offered to go outside and get the woman ourselves. Just so miserable and beyond lazy. The idea of caring for patients is dead and it’s all pill flinging and money collecting. Very sad. I’d be embarrassed to be in the medical field as it stands today.
